Insisting that there's only one good MCU film can be a much more effective way of winding up MCU fans than insisting that they all suck, but you've gotta pick the right one. If you claim Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the only good MCU film, they'll probably just be like "I disagree, but I can understand how you'd feel that way"; if you insist with a straight face that Thor: The Dark World is the only good MCU film you can get them to write entire essays about how wrong you are.

I’m sorry but it’s absolutely hilarious and yet adorable how the series handles Broppy’s relationship. First we get them traveling together as rivals (which was a bit more one- sided on Branch’s part) before slowing learning how to work together and to change for the other. Also it’s heavily implied Branch has an underline crush on Poppy. Then we get True Colors, and everyone thinks “okay they’re in love now”.

Some people/audience members are on board, others not so much. BUT THEN it turns out that the “I love you” they say to each other was a PLATONIC love confession. Like “you’re my friend, and I value you.” Which is still sweet, but was unexpected. (Though it does explain why the writers decided to put another platonic love confession scene between Bridget and Poppy. Yeah, I get it now)

So they just go through the journey as bffs who have feelings for each other but won’t say anything. And again, they learn how to work and grow together as a team and make the necessary changes to benefit the other. And then FINALLY we get the romantic love confession.

But it doesn’t stop there, oh no. Now we get adventure #3, this time with them as a full on couple. And they are actually really cute. Actually the film doesn’t focus that much on their relationship but we see hints of how they are as a couple.

Poppy is still all over the place but she’s much less in her own head and far more open to listening and being a good girlfriend.

Branch on the other hand is still occasionally getting exasperated by her energy but this time also has an appreciation for it. Also he learns to open up to her a little more and she’s there to listen and accept him with open arms. (Bonus points to their flirty dynamic because wow. They were adorable here.)

And it’s ONLY THEN (7 years after the first film) when they get their first on screen kiss.

Anyway. In conclusion: Trolls is the slowest slow burn I have ever seen in a Dreamworks trilogy.

There was a fourth Trolls movie where Branch and Poppy had to defeat the Troom Troom voice through the power of acutlsly useful lifehacks. It ended with Poppy and Branch getting married, but the details are fuzzy on the wedding.

Hearing that Wish was supposed to have a Star Boy is so disappointing cause Disney could have taken advantage and made the next Jack Frost to take the internet by storm but all they wanted to do was focus on Star Plushies and the talking goat.

(Also making a Villainous couple would have been Really interesting but they’re So focused on playing it safe that they ended up shooting themselves in the foot to have one of the worst animated films of the year which is funny considering how against Nimona they were which ended up being super successful)

(Also dropping the ball So Badly that Trolls was able to surpass you is just hysterical to me)

I’m obsessed with the Trolls movies at the moment and loving that fanfic concept a lot of people are writing at the moment where John Dory is basically Branch’s dad it’s so adorable.

In these fics it’s basically that JD raised them with his grandma’s help but he still saw Bruce, Clay and Floyd as his younger brothers because they were all old enough to see him as their big brother but deep down he saw Branch as his child and sometimes refers to him as his kid or baby instead of his brother because Branch never really knew their parents and the angsty side is being devastated over Branch not wanting anything to do with them at first.

Trolls 3 Theory:

Warning, Spoilers for the movie! Proceed at your own risk!

Yk how in nature, Brightly colored animals are usually a sign of Poison/Toxicity?

If you look at the Pop Trolls

(and every other troll aside from Rock Trolls sorta?)

They were either all Brightly Colored, or in Branch’s case, Once Brightly colored

What if the Trolls are Poisonous?

You may be thinking

“But Sofa! The Bergens used to eat the Trolls and we’re just fine!”

That is True! You know what else is true?

Developing an Immunity to toxins!

The Bergens likely ate enough to the point their future generations were immune to their poisons, or can just stomach it better

“But sofa, what does this theory have to do with Trolls 3?”

Im glad you asked!

As we can see in the movie, as Floyd taken by Velvet and Veneer,

Velvet clearly uses Floyd’s essence more than Veneer does,

And we know from Velvet’s behavior, she’s more easily annoyed,

The Fame and the glory goes to her head and she becomes so Power Hungry for more, she leads to her and her brother’s downfall

However, what if this all was in side effect to the Troll’s Poison?

Just simply looking up the side effect to being exposed to toxins:

depression

Learning problems

memory problems and dementia

brain fog

temper outbursts

psychotic behavior

The Essence from the Trolls could’ve been so Toxic, That although it gave her the skills to sing, it also lead her to lose her mind. Doing everything physically possible to keep her and her brother in the spotlight, even when her brother begged her to stop while they were ahead

As Veneer wasn’t as exposed to the essence, his mind wasn’t as affected as Velvet’s was, being able to think clearly at the end of the movie and confess.

Since Veneer couldn’t just abandon his sister to this troll-infused high

But hey, that’s just my theory

I watched Trolls, except my sleeping subconscious forgot the entire plot so at the end of the movie they abandoned Poppy in a witch’s house and she literally turned into a bear.
