This was my 1st fest I’ve ever done art for and I had such a blast working on this Darry piece. Dark Harry is a favorite of mine it’s always a bit of fun to see him go a bit batty.
I was so excited @toxik-angel selected this piece and it has been so incredible to watch their mind work as they rolled out this fantastic mystery fic full of mystery murders and abductions. With a snobbish Draco, a Harry with a lot on his shoulders, and a Neville who doesn’t get paid enough to deal with them.

Artist’s Notes: Oh what a weakness I have for a dark and possessive Harry Potter. I really wanted to create a piece that would bring him to life and really show off his madness. I loved creating every detail from the Hallows and tattoos to all of Draco diamonds. In creating this I hoped for an author to pick this who would really embrace the dark side of Harry and I can definitely say that I am so excited for the story toxik_angel has written to accompany these pieces.💕
This Fest has been such a joy to be a part of I've met so many wonderful people and I'm so happy my 1st year returning to this fandom happened alongside this fests return. Thank you to the Mods for making this fest the success I'm certain it is.

helloo once again thank u so much for everything that you do, we literally owe u our first borns. okkk i don’t really remember much from this fic except this one scene. Draco’s arrested bc ppl think Harry’s under a curse or imperius or something and they have cursebreaker bill weasley come in to cast on him to prove that imperius doesn’t work on him. he does it on ron first and bill makes me him do flips and then he casts on harry and tells him to slap malfoy and Harry’s like I don’t want to and he kisses draco instead 😭 it’s rlly cute i hope u can help me find it!! much love to u both x

Summary: Out of the blue, Potter's letter says: I need you. And Draco, ever a fool, goes. Cue magical houses, fluffy Beings with a sweet tooth, mutual pining level: infinity, and a truly outrageous amount of tea.

Friends, my first ever anon fest fic has just been revealed, and I am beyond myself with happiness that this tiny little story that is purely a chunk of my heart is just, out here for you all to see! I know I often claim 'this is the softest thing I've ever written' but this, this, truly is. It's sad and so filled with longing: it's joyful, and bright, and full of magic.
It's got a comfortable, confident trans man Harry in the loveliest magical house you can imagine, it's got a Draco so in love with him he's absolutely raging, it's got fluffy animals and adorable children and so, so much tea, and if that's not enough, hot chocolate. Pals, it's the cottage-coriest thing ever and everyone's heart gets broken at least once. It's, as always, about healing, and about love.
I had so much fun writing it, and cannot thank my lovely friends enough: @basicallyahedgehog, @samyistrying, @toxik-angel - for lending me your ear and your heart and giving your time and your thoughts. @stavromulabetaaa, @getawayfox - this fest was so brilliant, and honestly, truthfully, without it, this story wouldn't exist - I would never have found this little bit of myself. Thank you, most profoundly.
Snippet:
From the open window, the smell was strong of lavender, of orange blossom, of thyme and of basil and wild garlic. The house had an enormous garden, with gnarly trees, with weeds and wildflowers in blues and pinks and whites and. Draco, with some difficulty, looked away. For the house was now clear, was close, and in the door, ajar, stood—him.
His hair was longer. A streak of white in the black of his curls, tucked artlessly behind an ear. He’d grown wider, but only just, strong shoulders and thick thighs. A beard, trimmed neatly, framed his jaw in a truly unfair display. His skin was dark under his white shirt: he was, all at once, too much to bear. Draco closed his eyes and begged himself to cease. This foolishness had no place between them, ever since the—well. Ever since.
“Draco,” with a smile in his voice, the absolute fucker. Potter was coming closer, was lovely, here in this place that so suited him, in the joy etched in every line of his face. Draco’s belly reacted to it, squirming, cross.
“Potter,” with what he hoped was a professional tone. What was probably a pathetic whimper. “What—” stumbled coming out of the car, which parked itself under the overgrown apple tree, was caught at the elbow by a very warm hand. Un-clutched himself from the clutches. Tried glaring. Failed.
“What a surprise,” he managed in the end, half-choked. “Who would have guessed it was you requiring my services.”

I'm not sure whether the heat or this fic made me sweat more; it was a close competition. There's also so much sweetness and the relationship develops in such a lovely way. I couldn't get enough of it.

Holy moly, this is the hottest fic I've read in quite a while. It was part of this years @hd-fan-fair Career Fair, where Harry is a politician and Trans!Draco is a uni student who makes porn online on the side. The writing is incredible and so hot, especially considering there's no actual sex until the very end. It's very accurately tagged Voice Kink, so I hope the author will let me podfic it soon. (No pressure, @toxik-angel, but I doubt that Harry would be the only one who gets off on Draco's voice.)

As I reach the end of this list, I realize that we're all just sort of outing our own kinks. 🤷🏽♀️ This one is it for me - the tag Sapiosexuality doesn't have enough works in it to satiate me, but this fic is a perfect example. The author says "I never thought anyone would brave so much explicit smut" with regard to this podfic, but I can tell you that I didn't need any courage at all. Everything about it, even the initial nervous meeting-in-a-bar and stumbling over post-war feelings and guilt, is so well done. I love a Hermione who knows what she wants and takes it.
