Aqua mars are the true embodiment of "it's above me now". I've noticed most of them rarely if ever get angry or pissed off and even when they do, there's like no passion. My mother has this placement and almost nothing bothers her. They could also have some very weird kinks.
Sag mercuries speak too much and think they know everything. Very condescending, know it all energy. Doesn't matter whether they're right or not.

hi, i have quit loa ever since i began reading your posts and the content you link on them. i am however struggling to know what i do next, yk? like i was so stuck in this belief for the past few years and i kind of shut down all the other religions and beliefs - thinking that everyone else was wrong somehow.
i know this is very selfish and problematic but it is a behavior that was endorsed constantly by loablr and loagram... so yeah. i also feel very hopeless somehow, as if everything else i can try wont have any effect :( - v (ill start signing my asks like this so u know its me)
Teaching that all other religions and beliefs are somehow wrong or ineffective is pretty common cult behavior, so it's not too surprising that you heard it here. The Law of Assumption community might not think of itself as a cult, but they regard Neville Goddard's teachings as infallible even though they're riddled with contradictions and unprovable assertions, so.
It might take some time to get this bug out of your brain, but in the meantime I can assure you that there are ways to make your life better and find happiness without buying into everything these people teach. Many, many people have done it.
(This whole claim that every happy, successful person is actually using the Law of Assumption is just shit they're pulling out of their asses, because they sure as hell didn't go ask all these people what they believe and practice.)
There are many things you can do. If you found that practices like affirmations and "assuming" that you were cool, smart, attractive, etc. genuinely made your life better, you can keep doing them. This video provides a good example of how to apply these sorts of techniques within a healthy framework. (I personally call this type of thing "headology," the name coming from the Discworld novels, where witches frequently use little psychological hacks to make seemingly magical results occur.)
You can also follow blogs created for trauma survivors, or blogs that post healthy forms of positivity, like this one, or this one, or this one. Also, Reasons For Hope is a good blog to follow. You can also read this article, Please Help Me: What to Do When You Need Help.
(Remember, contrary to what the LOA community teaches, you have more options than believing that you're responsible for literally everything that happens to you or wallowing in a "victim mentality." This is a false dichotomy that serves to radicalize people into the LOA cult and make them feel like they'd be losers if they left.)

Few random headcanons I put into my RPs:
Rocket doesn't drink alcohol *that* much, he's actually more of a coffee addict, he prefers it black, and his favorite is Kona.
He drinks very strong drinks due to his small stomach volume, so he seems like a lightweight but if he is drinking beer, he really won't feel much.
He has internet access on Knowhere and he has a cellphone. Right now he just has a basic qwerty 'dumb' phone but may get a smart phone later when he feels so inclined. The internet access he has is integrated into his own computer system and it is set up in computer emulators using an outdated windows OS he jerry-rigged himself. Sometimes certain things don't work quite right due to compatibility, but it gets the general job done.
Rocket hates Earth's 'planned obsolescence' for tech so he realizes older technology on Earth tends to be higher quality despite more limiting functionality which frustrates him to no end. He gets most of his earth tech from Junkers in space, since him having Earth money isn't consistent.
His favorite show on Earth so far is Star Trek: The Next Generation
Rocket's favorite musicians are: Muse, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Guns and Roses and The Cranberries
Rocket has never had a birthday celebration and doesn't really know how old he is anyway.
Rocket is numb in some areas of his body due to his creation process. He's mostly numb in areas around his scars/implants due to damage to his nerves, so the areas with less alteration have more sensitivity. He can't feel anything but pressure on his upper back and upper chest.
He has very deft hands, they're steady as a surgeon and incredibly dexterous. They're also pretty calloused from all the work he does. (He probably needs a hand cream, ngl)
Rocket does keep records akin to keeping a Journal. He does not share that with anyone, and most people don't even know about it. He usually writes right before going to bed if he feels like he 'has anything to say'.
Rocket's multi-lingual and natively speaks English, Orbose along with a few other Earth and space languages. He can rely on his translator implant for others, but he was created with these languages hard rote into him.
Rocket has no religious affiliation. Even after his afterlife affirming experience and allusion to there being a higher power, he took the meaning to be something more abstract, akin to fate. He knows there are Gods (such as Thor) but he does see them as just ordinary people with unordinary powers. Despite this, he is generally respectful of people's beliefs as he sees it as part of their culture and understand how important that is to people. However this does not apply to cult like religions like the Universal Church of Truth.
Rocket hates bugs, there may be a bit of a squeamish fear within him too. Like he'd scream if a fly buzzed in his ear or if he found a cockroach. He had some issues with bugs getting into his cage when he was little and he just thinks they're gross. He doesn't need to explain it to you. Groot and Scott are the only ones he actually explained this to, but everyone else kinda knows. There's only so many times you can overreact about a bug being on the ship before your friends piece things together.

── Spük has a really amazing way of writing Tarhos and Danny in ways that both treat them as humans but also does not dance around the atrocities both of these characters have done. Both of these characters are expanded upon in a realistic way that fits both of their personalities. It also ties together loose strings for their lore - particularly in regards to Danny's lack of mother and Tarhos' complicated relationship with violence.

── This goes without saying, if you're on my blog you've seen Spük's writing at least a few times a week LOL - his writing is really inspirational to me and is a big part of the reason I write so much. He has a very blunt way of writing which I appreciate, but there's a good bit of prose sprinkled throughout that really makes it enjoyable and easily understood for me and my dyslexic ass.

MAN - GOOOOOD fucking food all around. Don't even get me started on Karthus - LJFDGNFK HE'S SO ... SO ... Look I just love the entire idea of corruption through religion -- also modern verse being this bored asf British Ghost who smokes weed is the funniest shit to me idc.

He just feels like a very realistic train-crash of emotions that have gathered up over time and I genuinely hope he can heal. Yijun on the other hand is a bitch and I also love them - the idea of turning a demon into a snake oil salesman that uses TikTok and social media as a way to form a pseudo cult is so fucking SMART and such an innovative way to explore demonic intentions. Plus he's just so ... mean? It's comical how bitchy he is - plus his relationship with Abel!!! AAAA!

gw2 rambling about the wizard under the cut
I really like Isgarren, he's super-prickly but in a very interesting way to me. like the first way I was going to write this was that he struck me as a sort of "no cost too great" character, but on reflection I don't think he's as willing to go to those sorts of extremes as he makes himself come off? like yeah the way fractals are being used in Skywatch Archipelago is extremely fucked up, but given just how smart and resourceful he's said to be - and none of that strikes me as outright lies or exaggeration - I really feel like he couldn't come up with any other choice.
Now that's NOT to say that it's the right choice; he's facing very high stakes and knows it, which I think gives him an unfortunate tendency to double down on whatever has the least chance of failure, even when it's morally murky as hell. He needs cooler heads with their own views on things to argue and make him realize the way he's going about things ISN'T the only way, and I actually think that's a big part of why he assembled the Wizard's Court? Like, even if they have to give up part of their past memories, they're not some slavish brainwashed cult - he doesn't insist on titles, they all admit he's difficult to get along with, and Lyhr in particular doesn't hesitate to tell him to shut up when he gets more arrogant as a result of his possession.
Overall I think that, as a result of how long he's been around and how many thorny decisions he's had to make for the greater good, he's got a reflexive habit of asking things like "would you save the farm?" to keep everyone on their toes - think the questions posed in the Raven Sanctum, just a fair bit harsher in execution. Basically telling Peitha it'd be good for Tyria if all of her people died is a dick move, but I got the feeling that if, say, Mabon or Lyhr were in the room, he would've expected them to call him out on it.

How do you think Mike is gonna take the news of Will's coma? What do you think it'll be his reaction when it happens, during those two years and when Will wakes up?
Ciao, anon. I'm working on my theory on S5, and Mike's arc and reaction to Will's coma is a big part of it. First of all, I think they'll resolve the whole triangle thing pretty soon. Mike and El will probably break up, and stay friends, in ep 1 or 2. Or maybe I'm wrong and it happens during the time skip (would be easier if it happens before, but we'll see!) Anyway, with the chaos in Hawkins, I doubt there'll be time for Mike and Will to really talk. Or for Mike to fully realise what he feels. Maybe he'll try, but they'll get interrupted by the most shocking event. The coma.
If Will really falls into a coma after closing the gates, Mike's first reaction will be total shock. He'll be so scared for Will, and feel lost. Even if El can see Will in the void and realises that he's reliving his memories like she did in Nevada, and tells Mike that he is strong and will wake up. It's just hard for Mike not being able to help him.
And since they couldn't film S4 and S5 back to back, they need a long time skip, so yes, the coma will probably last years. And that will deeply affect everybody. So, a solution could be a bridge episode to actually show those years. I'd say Will collapsing as a cliffhanger at the end of ep 2, and ep 3 as a bridge episode. I really hope they do that! If I'm right, we may see scenes of Mike visiting Will, talking to him, and asking him to wake up because they all miss him so much. HE misses him so much, and life is not the same without him. And maybe... he will read him a letter. Or letterS. Maybe he writes them while Will is in his coma, or they are the letters he wrote between S3 and S4 but was too insecure to send, because he didn't even know if Will cared about him anymore. Doing that, will help Mike to finally admit what he feels for his best friend.
In those years, I think we'll also see him and El becoming good friends, Byler and Lumax parallels, and Mike and Lucas supporting each other. And we'll see Mike grow, and realise that he is indeed a smart leader. The heart of the party. They're really gonna need a good leader, because closing the gates is just a way to buy time. Vecna is still alive. Spores are gonna be everywhere, possibly infecting people. Plus, Colonel Sullivan still wants El dead, and a lot of people think that Eddie and his friends are evil. With journalists talking about curses, plus the satanic panic, I think we could even see the rise of a cult in S5, that sees our heroes as the villains (this is so Stephen King). So, while Will sleeps and relives the scariest days of his life in UD Hawkins, Mike and the others will have to deal with just as a scary Hawkins in our world.
This is one more reason the van scene is so important for Mike's development . Imo, they made Will say those things also because he won't be around for a long time, and without him, Mike will think about his words, and realise that he can be what Will told him he is.
There's a little problem tho. Vecna. I 100% believe that Mike gets vecna'd in S5. Vecna knows all too well he is important to Will (and El and Nancy, too). And that he ruined his plans too many times. Killing Mike would break Will and make it easier to reclaim him. I even read a theory that Vecna waited until Mike left Hawkins in S4 to start killing the kids, but I'm not sure about that. The explanation could be that he needed to plan every move, and how to use El's power to make it impossible for her to close the gates again (he doesn't think Will can help, since his powers are blocked). And that takes time.
But I don't know when he's going to target Mike. Maybe at the beginning of the season? So that's how they realise Will is Vecna's target, that he has powers etc? Or Vecna is still too weak, so he doesn't attack Mike, or Will in his coma, and he targets them when Will wakes up, so that's when Mike realises what he feels for him? Hm. I don't know. But one thing I'm sure of is that S5 will be Mike's best season. I can't wait!

🐱---- Is your muse graceful? Do they possess a skill that they're quite precise and never sloppy with?
Graceful? Not really. He's not necessarily a klutz but he nor others would consider him graceful. He does possess a precise skill if you count him transforming others into werewolves. In both blessing and bite he has maximized powerful transformations with minimal blood.
🐶 ---- Does your muse get excited easily? Is there someone (or particular people) that make them excited?
It depends, even though he'd not show it visibly (aside from his tail). Of course the loves of his life make him excited, and he practically beams upon seeing them
🐎 ---- How strong is your muse? Could they fight someone with a stronger skillset than them?
Extremely strong. He is an Embodiment after all, a rank stronger than Titans. Not only that but I've mentioned many a time how he has herculean build in his werewolf form that is more than 3x the height of a human. Could he fight someone stronger? Yes. Will he always win/be invincible? No. On his own he wouldn't have been able to defeat the Scarlet King if it weren't for his fellow pantheon that weakened the SK.

He's indifferent to it. He's also indifferent to his own height, in both forms.

Murder mostly. And being the figure of worship for two cults. And some more murder. Rizzing upRomancing the enemy. He does technically sneak away every full moon, mainly for the safety of the building and subsequently his friends and family.

Not necessarily a pattern but he does sometimes involuntarily shift into his full-wolf form while he sleeps. He tries not to sleep at all, but ever since gaining more than a few new partners he's found a joy in sleeping in, spooning.

He isn't hot-headed and his temper has cooled thanks to Eight providing him with some therapy. Some signs of him reaching a boiling point includes forced transformation, destruction of property (usually a mug), and the splintering of his antlers.

Counting his step children he has 63 of them, and he tries as much as he can to be there for him. Thankfully they're all busy so he can dedicate most of his time to being a councilman, but he would drop everything to help them in an instant!

Has he? Yes (although I'm totally blanking on a specific example). He doesn't talk badly about others behind his back though, and he usually isn't two-faced, either biting his tongue or critiquing them directly.

Yes. They definitely wonder why he's not full time department of technological development, considering he made the Power Inhibitors the Foundation uses globally. Instead he splits his time with that department as well Anomalous Welfare.

He's only a hugger to those he's close with. He definitely enjoys romantic-based physical affection, although usually he won't say no to some head scritches.

Four keeps his wise words to himself. He'd much rather other, more profound people like Eight talk...er, sign. No, he's not often a wise old man.

He's generally not sociable at all, only getting talkative with close friends (Five, Six) and family and loved ones. He doesn't make friends easily, and that's usually because everyone is intimidates by him lol.

Extremely, and yes..and yes! I have written him murdering before and I will continue to in the future. With his grand reveal as the Embodiment of Nature, there's so much that he's capable of doing no >:D

For others who don't have flowers in their ascension materials, then let's take their favourite flower
Of course, there are still a few flowers mixed in with how many people hate mc so get this
What if no one ever found out mc was the true creator until after their death?
The mc dying alone, choking in tears and flowers and blood and surrounded by them. Wheezing for someone to hear their prayers, anyone to help, anything to help please they can't breathe it's so painful-
Then a character finds them and sees their favourite flowers on this 'imposter' and the scene that lays before them is just so pitiful and ... disgusting. They didn't want to touch mc honestly, what if something contaminated them?
They need to get rid of the vermin... but they can't do it right now, so they'll go back to get some proper tools and people to dispose mc
But then, after that, the flowers the character love begins rotting away rapidly. Not just withering, the flowers are actually rotting rotting and smell disgusting, absolutely putrid
And slowly, the flora in Teyvat all start rotting away too and everyone's just so confused? What was happening?
People beg and beg their imposter Creator to bring back the floras because businesses are being ruined, restaurants have to shut down, farmers are having a hard time making money, some people are starving, some are even falling sick, lives are at stake! Why won't the Creator do anything?
The imposter Creator obviously can't do anything about it, but let's say they're smart enough to make an excuse. Something like, "This is my punishment to Teyvat." People take it of course, since it is from their almighty imposter Creator
Bringing back the mc into the picture, the character finally came with some help to finally rid Teyvat of mc. Then they notice how mc's body is surrounded by every single type of flower, and the thing is, the flowers are blooming and fresh! How can that be?! They've only been seeing rotten ones and anytime they do find a surviving flower, it immediately rots when they touch it.
But this? So many flowers are brushing against mc's skin yet nothing's happening. Even the petals that have fallen off have not withered away or dried out. Impossible!
The flower which the character had so loved, one nestled gently in your hands, as if to spite them. At this moment, there's this dawning realisation... No, they have to check first
They try to pluck a flower only to have it disintegrate into ashes in their hands... what? No, no... it can't be. This was weird. There is a possible explanation and if that's the case... no. It can't be.
So, they send out a message to the other archons to come investigate the scene and also their imposter Creator
My favourite part~ They finally catch the imposter Creator and they realise what a huge huge HUGE mistake they made. And they cannot undo it.
I just love the idea of the characters suffering with the guilt that it was their flowers that killed their loved Creator. The blood that people tried to clean off from the mc refuses to come off, a stubborn stain that will forever remind the character that it's their fault their fault their fault their fault their fault their fault their fault their fault their fault their fault
And as if to spite them even more, flowers actually slowly start to grow back once the imposter was dealt with, except for their flower. The only time they could ever see it was if they visited the mc's flower grave (nature refused anyone to move mc, so they were just left there, but people built a grave around the mc, to protect and honour them, and perhaps to repent it was too late to) It's a hauntingly beautiful sight.
Last thing, just think about this. The nature of people can be ugly. Jealousy, anger, bitterness... selfishness. Too much of these and it can be quite catastrophic. As a result, the character gets blamed. There will definitely be people who will start blaming them, "You killed our Creator and you were cursed. This is all your fault. How dare you show your face here. Aren't you the slightest bit ashamed?" As if they didn't chase mc down either, but well, as long as the blame was shifted to someone else, that didn't matter, did it?
That's right, a whole life full of suffering, guilt and pain is what's left for the character:)

Hi! I know you're one of the older fans on Tumblr & I wanted to ask you about the anti movement. I'm 19 & when I see people talking about the ages of anti fans, they're often within the 14-25 age range & I have no idea why. I also feel it's a little unfair to say that younger fans tend to be antis, though it is understandable since I've also made mistakes when I didn't know things. Why do you think most antis are younger fans? What should younger fans who aren't antis do to be more involved?
Hee! I’m 40, which, tbh, actually isn’t that old for Tumblr (though it’s certainly old compared to the common perception of tumblr), so sure, I can probably answer this. I guess there are two questions here: 1. Is it true and 2. why, if so?
1. Experience suggests that antis do tend to be young... but it does not follow that young people tend to be antis. (You’d have to know the proportion of antis relative to the overall population of fandom, which we don’t. I think the majority of people of any age tend to want to read fic in peace and not be roped into endless wank.) I definitely see some ringleaders who are older and good at manipulating fandom trends for their own ends too.
2. Why would this be the case?
When I was in college, we used to joke about all the freshman year Marxists. It’s an eternal phenomenon: people who don’t have much experience learn a new thing and are on fire to change the world using the one tool in their toolbox. (To a man with a hammer, yadda yadda.) There’s no passion like the passion of the newly converted, and young people tend to have a lot more energy and often a lot more free time to yell on social media. Antis may be one expression of this among people currently in that age bracket. It’s not like people my age didn’t do other annoying-ass things when we were that age. You just don’t see it because it was 20 years ago, a lot of it was never online, and all the websites/platforms from then have been systematically destroyed. (Often by yahoo. Fuck yahoo.)
The other half of the reason, in my opinion, is that there have been concerted efforts to sway lefty/socially liberal people in specific--often TERFy--ways. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the right wing radicalization of gamer guys.
People are susceptible to it because their lives suck and because they don’t know enough history or have enough confidence to form their own opinions and stand up for them. Sure, some people are going to go hardcore for anti views no matter how much they know, but a lot of people are just being swept along with the tide because something sounds superficially pro-gay or pro-protecting kids or whatever.
I cannot emphasize enough that the things that make someone ripe for the alt right are the same things that make them ripe for cults and for various kinds of toxic fandom shit: it’s usually the smart, sensitive overthinkers who don’t have enough close actual friends and who aren’t in a good place in their lives.

So what can you do?
You can try to make fewer more significant friendships and make sure your support system isn’t people you only know because you currently share a fandom. Most of my offline friends are people I found through fandom meetups, don’t get me wrong. I’m all for making fandom your life and only hanging out with fandom people, but we’re just regular friends who have dinner parties and shit (well, when it’s not the plaguetimes). Most of the time, we don’t share specific ships or fandoms. It’s vitally important to have a real support network that can’t be ripped away by social media wank.
The next thing we can all do is publicly stand up for what we believe in and not cave to pressure just because someone yelled “think of the children”. It’s important to be clear about the real history and logic behind these things, whether it’s the history of censorship that inspires people to support AO3′s extremely permissive policies or the fact that ‘queer’ was a fully reclaimed umbrella term in the 90s.
It’s okay if we don’t all agree. What’s not okay is appeals to emotion and ignoring science. A lot of anti bullshit is like “Rape fantasies are an abnormal red flag”, and this goes against every damn thing we know about human sexuality.
Part of this is examining our own stances for illogic and hypocrisy. If thought crimes aren’t real, then all of them aren’t real. I see way too many “Okay, but that one gross kink though!” comments from people who claim to be on my side, and this is very silly.
Possibly the biggest thing, though, is that we as a planet need to start being savvier about shitty social media and how it’s destroying our mental health. I don’t have a good overall solution, and obviously, I’m still on tumblr, but we all really need to cut down the amount of time we’re on sites like Facebook and Twitter and probably tumblr too. The more it has an algorithm and the less it has moderation, the more it’s a problem. Individual discords and spaces that can have moderation are better. It’s fine if some of them are 100% antis. The point is to have multiple spaces with rules that suit different groups.
A thing you can do is make your own spaces: be the owner of a discord for your ship, not just a passive participant at the mercy of shitty mods in an existing one. Run a fic exchange with rules you think are sensible and be firm when people try to scream about problematique things you don’t agree are a problem. One of the most pernicious anti problems is mods breaking the rules of their own spaces (usually a “no kinkshaming” one) to cave to social pressure from the loudest, most assholish set of people in the server. They don’t know how many people quietly disapprove and quietly leave their fandoms because they only fear the loud harassers, not the silent toll of caving to them.
Honestly, the climate of fear is the big issue more than a bit of yelling: I routinely meet 20-somethings who live in fear of being canceled and shunned. You can help this by... not being like that with your friends. If they’re friends with a canceled person, don’t ask them to drop the canceled person or face the same fate. If you disagree about some fandom hot take, talk about it calmly and don’t act like the friendship will be over in 5 seconds and you’ll use all your knowledge of them against them in a public callout because they didn’t instantly agree.
Basically, have some self confidence and don’t be fucking terrified all the time... which can be a tall order and probably explains the age thing also.

Grumpinati Grumpus ocs anyone? Here we have Foxling Foulwater, and Aedhoehraiae (Adora) Pobblebottom. More info under cut
Starting with Foxling, he grew up in an incredibly strict household as the only son and the oldest. Being that he was quite a nerd he frequently got bullied in school getting in physical altercations and the likes, then getting picked on and beat by his own father for things out of his own control. When the bullies broke his nose that's when his demeanor of tolerating the abuse changed and he became far more sinister and dangerous using those dimwits to have power over someone else as a result of his father's abuse, when he became bored with them he made sure they'd never tell. They were never seen again. This is where some of his behaviour comes from today, tolerating grumpus until given a reason not to see them as worth that respect. Into his young adult years his father broke his tusk, he had the root covered and made the tusk guards to protect them and moved away from his home town, after his father had went missing on a fishing trip. Roughly about 32 in the bugsnax timeline, by now he's decently high up in the Grumpinati science devision due to his intelligence computer skills and disposal skills, but mostly the first two hes in charge of running simulations on bugsnax evolution, the rate of the island movement and activity and run experiments on bugsnax to see if he can cause mutation and evolution into different forms. He's gained a degree in parasites through working there so he knows what he's doing and he despises the disgusting parasites, fascinated by their strategy and evolution of course what a way to get rid of a body but disgusted nonetheless. He works hard and keeps to himself he's no risk of blabbing to anyone. His nose has a metal strip in from when it was broken which he has magnetise to his glasses to prevent them falling off. He also has an egg pouch, one of the things his father didn't approve of seeing as no other males from his father's side had ever had that before and despite being out of Foxlings control due to biological genetic reasons his father Mr Foulaby saw it as his fault. Mr Foulaby also despised Foxling claws for not being retractable unlike his own. Foxling never got much protection from his mother and he does despise her for that but he knows she was likely protecting herself her egg and her other grumpling, sacrificing one for the many. He's secretly a very lonely grumpus, but he doesn't like to dwell on that feeling or risk letting anyone close he avoids talking to coworkers so they don't have anything over him and so they can't spread anything personal he might share with one of them. He has made low ranked grumpus who dared mess with him disappear, there was an incident with salted googley eyed coffee that saw 3 low ranks vanish within days of each other and a coffee machine put into his private office, higher ups turned a blind eye to the joke gone sour, if it was him he'd done a good job leaving no trace. The others know not to cross him as they found he was scary when angry and stronger than they anticipated.
Next we have Adora Pobblebottom! And no I'm not spelling her full name again, it's lots of silent letters her mother was being unique. She's was a middle child to a large growing family but was a runt egg when her mom laid two, from a young age she was incredibly coddled for being so tiny and vulnerable and as she got older it never stopped. Quickly she learned that she could get away with anything, it couldn't have been her she's too little and fragile and a nasty spot quickly grew inside her. She was incredibly spoilt but would act as innocent and sweet as can be thankful and grateful for all the things she got while waiting knowing there would always be more for darling little Adora. She's still kinda small and very soft her fur is incredibly fluffy and naturally curly she makes sure to curl and fluff it each day for maximum curly volume and cuteness. She's quite a low rank actually in the Grumpinati, she helps scout out new members finding vulnerable people who look like they need something more in life need a calling and goes about recruiting them, lovebombing them showering them in attention, tricking them into the cult smiling so sweetly holding their paw telling them its all gonna be okay and she'll look after them. She knows they'll either grow and get in better positions or die, that's life and she's getting paid good for this, it's her or them and she'd rather stay alive. She outgrew her family in a way it was good but they smothered her too much and didn't have the money for the things she wanted, she was smart making sure not to ruin that relationship simply saying she needed to forge her own path and now here she is working to recruit people into a cult. She's also a very good mole, noone suspects the small fluffy curls of being eyes and ears on people trying to gain intel on the grumpinati, they don't notice her when she sits nearby listening in they don't view her as a threat or acknowledge her as anything more than a sweet runt. Its a perfect for getting the information she needs to report back to have them shut down. Of course it has its draw backs her own coworkers who know of her job think she's a mole, which is just annoying the people she's working with outright not trusting her enough to talk around her when she knows noone really trusts anyone there so why single her out? She misses the good gossip. Despite being low rank she usually is able to bluff blink and blag her way into higher access points despite no security card, she'll blink her eyes all big and shuffle her feet and say she just thought she'd fetch coffee for everyone as they work so hard she's so sorry she didn't know it was high access only she was just able to walk in. And bingo, the coffee usually gets them, and she gets their coffee she's not an idiot she knows they need it they associate her with coffee they let her in they're happy she gets away with breaking rules. Plus she makes a good drink. Of course Foxling would be more reluctant and closely watch her using his monitor if she made a coffee in his lab, arguing when called Foxly by her ever so sweetly "it's pronounced Fauxling", but she doesn't disrespect him so he remains neutral, ignoring the fact her coffee is pretty good actually.... Adora is about 27 so she's still kind of young and it makes Foxling worry if shes around him too long he doesn't want to be seen as a creep even if Adora is initiating all the social interactions (its only a 5 year gap he's just not used to grumpus). Adora was born without a pouch due to her genetics, feeling in her fur there's a slight different where the top of the pouch should be but it never fully developed, she finds it slightly annoying as it means no storage she can't hide weapons on her person but has to deal. Likely attends Grumpinati training for self defence purposes in case a mission goes bad and can use a weapon if necessary, shes partial to concealed blades that are unsuspecting until revealed much like her.

🔮 what book/series has your favorite magic system?
Reading this, my initial, immediate, slightly overwhelming internal response was SHADES OF MAGIC. So, uh, Shades of Magic. To say that I loved this series is a rather massive understatement. I read it very early this year and it's still one of my favorites of this year. I don't really see that changing, either. And that's mostly because the magic was so goddamn cool?? Multiple versions of London aside, the more "basic" magic of this world is even pretty fantastic. For goodness sake, they have a magic tournament. A MAGIC TOURNAMENT. There are so many different types of magic, too, and different people have different strengths, and, then, obviously Kell's magic is pretty spectacular. This is not the coherent, dignified response I wanted it to be, really. Suffice it to say, Shades of Magic has good magic and I liked it a lot.
🙄 what’s a popular book that you dislike, but you’ll get crucified if you say it?
Ok, so I answered this in the last ask, but I am full of bitterness and have another answer. I'm sorry in advance, Devon. It's The Night Circus. I know. I know. I just—I think this book was too smart for me. There was too much jumping around and rules that I didn't quite understand and, uh (seriously, Devon look away) I never really got the romance. I know. Yes, the "I wished for her" part was appropriately swoony, but the rest? Was not great? At least for me. The writing was gorgeous and I did really appreciate the imagery of the circus itself, but I never found myself truly invested in the story. Sorry, Devon. I think your fic is fantastic.
🥺 what’s a truly underrated book/series you recommend and wish the whole world would read?
Another one that I answered, but I have another one! The Lord of Stariel series. These books had absolutely no business being as good as they were. Gaslamp fantasies are not usually my jam — in that I do not think I have ever read one once, but this was a D E L I G H T. Hetta was a fantastic heroine without once feeling like she had to be obnoxious about her own power and there are few things I adore more than childhood friends to OH NO HE'S HOT lovers. When that lover is also the head butler of your brand-new estate (tre scandal!) and a runaway fae prince (tre super scandal!) I ascend to some sort of book-reading heaven where I get everything I ever wanted. Plus, Wyn, our consummate head buter/runaway fae prince, only occasionally succumbed to the requisite WE CAN'T BE TOGETHER FOR YOUR SAFETY. For the most part, Hetta and Wynn had very little relationship drama. The relationship was the calm amidst the storm of everything else. See, everything I ever wanted. Not to mention, the contrast between the issues of running the estate (we need electricity! what will we do about the sheep on the far pasture!) and dealing with the fae (what if everyone gets killed???) was so well done, I still can't quite believe it happened.
😈 who’s your favorite villain/antagonist? are they special to you like a protagonist is?
Hmmm I don't know that I have one? That's a copout answer, I know, but I legit just scrolled through my Goodreads and not once was like, Oh! Them! I will, however, say, that The Darkling's presence in Rule of the Wolves was one of my favorite things that I've read this year. Like, he was just such a stereotype, right? Dark-haired dude full of angst and anger with his cult of equally dumb dudes who probably think they're REAL NICE but girls don't want guys like that. If they had fedoras in Ravka, the Darkling's followers would wear them.

Farcry 5: Zoë Seed!!
Omg that’s me 😏 she was an entomologist checking out the cool insects of Hope county and unfortunately for her she doesn’t believe in private property when it comes to discovering nature. One day chosen find her trespassing on John seeds property. They think she’s a spy for the resistance as she has a camera, binoculars etc. They take her to the main church (conveniently was a Sunday) once service is over shes handed over to the father and himself and John go through her camera. They only find insect pictures and omg wow she’s not a spy. She’s indoctrinated into the cult and ends up eventually becoming John’s right hand of god 😌🙏 sinners who happen to be an extra annoyance go to her where she makes them confess in whatever way possible. Or they die in the process, whoops 💅🏻 She’s polyamorous with all of the seed siblings including Faith cos like come on now let’s be real they all crave and need loving. However she’s married to John Seed because that baby boy is everything 😤❤️ She also likes to do cult posters and help write songs and sing them cos it’s fun as hell. She is closest with John and Faith Seed specifically out of the 4 Seeds. Other cultists are scared of her, or is it respect? Hmm who knows 😌 She also tortures sinners for fun and chases them around the forest making them as shit scared as possible. Oops 😏
The Magnus Archives: is my oc who is an Avatar of the eye and Rayn Porter is my oc who a avatar of the corruption. They both have the same last name as they are both the same person just if they had gone down different entity routes in their life. I’ll talk about Rose first! (I also have an avatar of the flesh and the vast but I haven’t worked on them yet or got them ‘fully fleshed out’ 😏
Rose Porter: avatar of the Eye, marked by the stranger, the spiral and the vast.
From an early age Rose always felt the need to watch people, to know, to understand. As she got older these feelings only became stronger and she begins to stalk people, not because she finds that person special for any particular reason they just happened to look to long at her and she saw them doing so. That just sets something off In her so now they must be followed, acknowledged, understood and scrutinised (me self projecting right into my ocs 😌). She found the Magnus institute one day as she started stalking Rosie. when she had seen the woman walking into a large glorious building she knew something was off, like the itching feeling you get, the feeling in your gut, the sensation of something important. She did not know what had over come her to walk in the building so quickly as that would ruin her chances of learning further about this person who dared make her feel so uncomfortable. But there she was. She was hired immediately of course as a librarian, then moving on the be an archival assistant, shocking to her. But obviously not to Elias Bouchard who knew just how useful her alignment to his almighty beholder. To say she had a crush on him would be an understatement. She can’t explain it. Some would call infatuation, some would call it chemistry, but smart ones say it’s because they are both devotees to the eye and she is in so much deeper than she has ever anticipated or even realises 👀
Rayn Porter: avatar of the corruption, marked by the flesh, the lonely and the stranger.
Rayn despises people (same queen 🙄) they put animals on a higher level of respect than humans. The corruption took ahold of them as a young child, they would always follow and play with cockroaches as a child. However their mother was to say the least an unempathetic, transphobic and cruel woman to say the least. Rayn was raised in a household full of scrutiny, hate and fear. Because of this had very little friends as the only social interaction they knew was their bitch ass mother they turned to the ‘pests’ of their home. Whether these were the slugs and snails in the basement of their home, or they were the cockroaches, house centipedes and rats that dwelled in their attic. They loved and appreciated them all, but their was still something deeper to it. A deep rot had started to form in Rayn and they hated their mother and family. They hated them for how they had cast them aside for not being female, they hated them for all the mistreatment they had faced as a child. The rot started small, a odd old smell that started to lurk around Rayn. Eventually others would notice the smell but would shrug it off as the smell would soon be covered by the smell of Rayns chain smoking. Then one day Rayn was staring in mirror poking at their face and squeezing. They found a sore on her face and squeezed it, pus comes out but something moves underneath. They squeeze harder and something wriggles forth, it’s a very small, juvenile cockroach, streaked slightly in something slimey. As you can imagine that fucked them up a bit, but they learnt to embrace it. Learnt to love that crawling away just underneath their skin are thousands of little legs connected to cockroach’s of many sizes. Sometimes if not managed roaches will find themselves sneaking out of nostrils, mouth and ears. Sometimes even out from behind her eyes. One way they feed the corruption is they set forth the filth at a selected location. All it takes is for them to place a cockroach down in a building and within a week there will be a infestation so strong causing the people in said building to be taken down with it. The Cockroaches will feed on those that they can over power and The Corruption always needs feeding... (Also just want to add cockroaches themselves aren’t actually dirty, they’re actually obsessive cleaners. the locations they live in are dirty)
Telltale Batman- Roz Traegers:
first encounter with John Doe (the eventually to be known Joker) was at the bar he frequented. They had never once seen him drink a drop of alcohol. He would order beer constantly for his alcoholic sure but never consume it himself. Aside from his alabaster white skin nothing about him seemed out of the ordinary to them. Well except the fact he liked to stare, a lot. You would constantly worry it’s because he was just judging you based on your appearance (a lot of people do) however John just likes to stare at people and found you interesting for some reason (cliches I know, but me and John Doe are basically the same person and I like to think he’d think I’m interesting). Roz has a great dislike towards the people John works with, they don’t appreciate how badly they treat him. Especially Harley. John is so obsessed with Harley and she treats him like absolute shit. Roz had a plan to get Harley arrested, however John found out and threatened to never speak to Roz again. Roz has a soft spot for Mr Freeze specifically from the gang also.
Vampyr: Rose Pine
works as an assistant to Camellia at the florist. Rose isn’t a very chatty person and has had quite a traumatic up bringing. Her mother, sister and father are all unfortunately deceased. Her father killed her mother, then sister, then Rose, then turned the knife on himself. Rose survived her injuries (hence the scar on her throat) and was put out into the adoption system. Roses father believed he had been doing his family a service by taking their lives before they could be claimed by Ekons. Roses father had been a vampire believer long before they had even breeched the city. Rose always waves hello to Jonathan Reid when she sees him galavanting around. He always waves back and occasionally they will exchange a conversation. One evening they exchange more than just brief chit chat when Jonathan is required to save her from a group of feral Skals. Rose is very badly injured from her encounter and Jonathan ends up having to change the sweet little florist he sees most evenings into a Ekon. Rose is also good friends with Charlotte Ashbury and Charlottes mother Elisabeth. I haven’t played Vampyr in a wee while, I want to get back into it soon so plan on adding more to her story.
Outlast: Rosie Porter
Rosie worked as a live in psychiatrist for those at mount massive asylum. She lives on the premises that way patient can be attended to at any time. Her experiences throughout life gives her empathy for those that are locked up, that the other guards and majority of other staff just don’t have. Rosie has always been able to empathise with those who would be considered ‘evil’ whether she empathised out of her own sick fascination or because of her heart hurting too much is another question. Rosies favourite patients are Eddie Gluskin and Chris Walker. She was hired after Jeremy Blaire forcibly admitted Chris Walker. Rosie is enamoured with Eddie and he knows it. Knows he has his little psychologist wrapped around his finger. However Eddie would be a hypocrite if he said he also wasn’t wrapped around her finger. Rosie is forcibly committed to the asylum by Jeremy Blaire they start Project Walrider on the patients. Rosie was against it and threatened to blow the whistle on the whole thing (dumb idea) and Jeremy uses her as the first female Walrider test subject. Rosie has engaged in an affair with her boss Jeremy Blaire when she first started working there. Due to their past ‘hands on’ relationship, Rosie is allowed more time with her patients and allowed to be alone with her patients. This has allowed for her to further her work with her patients, as they’re quite open when the know they aren’t being openly judged by the security staff.
Hannibal: Jessi Trees
is a forensic entomologist who works alongside Beverly, Jimmy and Brian analysing dead people n shit. Jessi first met Will Graham on the scene of a crime when they had both been called out. It was the mushroom killer from memory as the soil was packed with invertebrates filled with evidence. Will has just finished doing his whole ‘this is my design’ when Jessi walks up to him and stands quietly beside him, where they say: “These fuckers are filled with worms and I don’t know shit about worms” Will Graham turns and looks at them like what the fuck? Those are dead people. Jessi merely shrugs, smirks and walks off. Jessi can be described by a lot of people as ‘a cold person’ or ‘indifferent’ but passionate. They dehumanise the corpses they’re working with at that’s the only way they can get justice for them. If they get too caught up in all the sadness of it, they can’t move forward from it. Jessi has a crush on Will Graham and Beverly Katz. Jessi questions Will and Hannibals relationship quietly from the background but never really comments.
Bonus character!! Stardew Valley: Zoë
This bad ass came all the way from Zuzu city in need of a better and different life. They inherit their grandfathers old farm and get it up and running. The town is filled with wonderful, amazing people. But of course Zoë has to want to become close friends with the person who hates me everyone: Shane (they’re kindred spirits, Shane isn’t aware of this however because he seems to think he’s the only person who can suffer from substance abuse and sever depression haha.) Shane hates them of course until they keep harassing him and he reasilizes she’s a lot more screwed up than he was aware. Zoë is close friends with Shane (ends up marrying him one day), Linus (I would fucking die for him and anyone who’s cruel to him gets my foot in the butthole), Leah (they hang out frequently and like to paint in the forest together), Emily (I have a massive crush on Emily haha, she’s so similar to me it’s great), is also friends with Sam’s dad and Jodis husband Kent (Kent suffers from PTSD and I’ve developed a lot of my own techniques to help with my own PTSD so we help each other out. Also Jodi I’m stealing your husband, just kidding, unless). Zoë’s favourite animals on her farm are her blue chickens (raised by Shane) and her horse Aaron. Zoë’s favourite yearly event is the moonlight jellies festival!

Hello, it’s ETN time again! I believe this may be my longest reaction post yet! I’m working on my ‘possessed guest’ theory.

But I do agree with Ro. I don't trust the SAE.
I missed Mat. "I mean, Jael and Ryu are kinda weird. Bit quiet. They puke magic. It's kinda disgusting." Lol

I love how whenever the group gets a note and someone reads it out, you can see Ro trying to remember it and figure it out in the background.
Ok, three riddles to open the three gates of the maze. The answer to each riddle will be an object inside the maze. This sounds cool, I love riddles! I’m not great at them but I like them.
Nikita: "Shut up and just look cute. I'm gonna save your ass."
First riddle: "I have a head a tail but no body." No body but it has a head and tail?
Ohh! It's a coin. Good thinking Nikita! And Nikita got captured!
Now we're with team Mat.
Oh so they have to find what each statue was missing and return it to said statue.
Okay, The Sorceress was helping Ro hide from The Gorgon was awesome and now I want The Sorceress and Ro to be friends!

Second riddle: "Feed me and I live. Give me a drink and I'll die." EEK! I know this one! It's fire, the answer is fire!
Nikita: "A candle. Look for something with fire." Alex: "Don't listen to her." And Alex keeps trying to convince everyone that he's not bad?
Grapes? Okay, now Bretman has used the lighter!
Okay, the second gate has been opened. One more to go!
Bretman has been captured as well.
Now it's Joey's turn! Third riddle: "When you need me you throw me away. When you are done with me you bring me back." Hmm?
Wait! On the table is an anchor! It's the anchor! It's the anchor, Joey!
Third and final gate complete! And Joey didn’t get caught.
Uh oh... Joey has to vote for himself or vote for either Nikita, Bretman or Alex and Joey will get immunity.
Back to team Mat.
Good thinking with the empty pedestals, Ro!
I love how Ro takes the high pedestal and has to, literally, climb on top of it because she's so tiny, while Mat and Colleen have the short pedestal and just have to step onto it.

Colleen: "Mat and I have to stand on the one that says, "Kiss of the jewelled lover." Matt's married and has a kid. I'm married and have a kid. So that ain't happening. So he's gonna get a big ol' kiss on the cheek."
Colleen: "Are we doing this?" Matt: "Give me a kiss, lover!" The way that Matt says that is hilarious!
Mat: "Are you the new Calliope? Are you the one who's shuffling the cards?"
Sorceress: "I'm The Sorceress."
Ro: "She's pretty cool, Matt."
Mat: "Yeah?"
Ro: "Yeah, she's really helpful."
Colleen: "Snake lady freaks me out."
Matt: "Didn't Joey say that she killed him?" That whole interaction was brilliant.
Phew, Joey voted for himself. Which makes my earlier dig about him not volunteering look stupid now.
Ro asks Alex if he wants to go in and he said yes!
WHAT? Who the heck voted for Colleen?
ASDFGHJKL! Bretman: "Miss Colleen, prove yourself, Duchess." It was Bretman!
Alex is going in too!
Alex: "What? Rosanna! I didn't know what I was saying earlier. I was just cold." Ro: "You told me to vote for you!" Anyone getting S1X06 Matt vibes here? When he said he'd do the exorcism and then tried to back out?
Oh this is an interesting challenge! The ‘guardian angels’ Mat and Nikita has to traverse the maze and find the parts of a puzzle, while Alex and Colleen have to assemble the puzzle pieces to make the Parthenon.
Nikita crawls under the legs of the Minotaur! That is gutsy!

And that’s my reaction post for S4X06 done!
And as I thought about the end of this episode, I thought that, apart from Nikita, Rosanna is the only girl left in the group. If Nikita only stays for one more episode then Ro will definitely be the only girl left and that should guarantee that she is one of this seasons survivors! Until I thought that Colleen is seen in the pirates episode, which means she may be revived, which will probably be bad for Ro as they probably won’t have 2 female survivors (Although Ro is is the pirate episode as well). Excluding S2, The survivors are always Joey, a boy and a girl, so it’s unlikely that it would be 2 girls and Joey to win this season unless they decide to change that. But who knows?

Hello~ may I ask, how does Rook behave when he's sick? How do you think all the Seeds act when they're sick? (if you can't tell I'm sick too right now and in need of a pick me up 🤧)
Rook is mostly alright, he’s not too awful when he’s sick, just a bit short with people and mostly drowsy from the medicine. (All those side effects? Yeah, Rook gets most of them. Sometimes the medicine makes him feel worse than the illness.) That being said, if the sickness gets into his ears? He’s a nightmare of a human being. He has absolutely no tolerance for ear pain. You can tell he has an earache because he’s face down on his desk, holding his head like it’s going to explode, and whimpering. He gets bitchy and mean and is barely tolerable to be around.
Joseph takes it mostly in stride. Illness is a part of life, after all, and he’s bound to get it given his general disregard for personal space. He refuses to take medicine for the most part, relying on the Bliss for any pain, and only taking antibiotics when the cult’s doctors insist. He’s a bit more reserved when he’s sick, touching people less--he did work in a hospital of some aspect, he knows about how easily things spread--and just generally keeping to himself. (Which does double duty of ensuring the followers don’t see him weak. He has to present an illusion of constant strength lest they doubt their Father.)
Jacob just straight up denies that he’s sick. He could be emptying his stomach every five minutes and he’d be like “Huh. Must’ve been something I ate.” If his nose is running? Well, he’s up in the mountains, higher elevation will do that. A cough? He spent god knows how many years inhaling sand and gunpowder. Sure, he’s gonna have a cough. You know that person who looks like they might’ve died like a couple hours ago and they’re still insisting they’re fine and don’t need to rest? That’s Jacob. But he’s at least smart about it and he’ll take whatever medicine the doctors thrust at him. He was a soldier, he’s used to the army medics shoving stuff in his direction and expecting it to be into his body by the time they look up from their chart.
John is someone who I think wavers. I’m never really sure. On one hand, I think he’s a giant drama queen who lays in bed and acts as though he may pass at any moment. The dude who gets a cough and starts to look over his will to make sure all his assets are in order. At the same time, this is the same man who was raised by the Duncan’s. Every errant sneeze or cough was probably taken as a sign of weakness, of something evil inside him. Either John proclaims to the whole world that he’s sick, or he hides and you won’t hear a word from him until he’s better. Sort of like an injured animal running back to its den to lick its wounds.
Faith is absolutely a baby about it. She’s so pampered all the time, I can’t imagine her being anything else. I think she just curls up, sniffles pathetically, and has the faithful running here, there, and everywhere for anything she needs. She’s the cults darling and whatever she wants, she gets. She’ll use the Bliss when she needs it, take whatever medicine is available (except any opiates. I can see Faith being very strict to never go near them, even for medicinal use), and just generally lay around until she’s better. All that being said? I think she recovers the fastest. Like the second she starts on the path to recovery, she’s up and moving again. It might knock her down for a day or two, but after that she has no time for it and just goes about her business.
