DEMOCRATS HAVE TRIED MOST EVERYTHING TO GET TRUMP OUT OF POLITICS, GOVERNMENT, THE RACE FOR THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT AND THE WHITE HOUSE.

They did not care if they destroyed Trump as a person, a US citizen, destroyed his business, his family and friends, his political associates, his children. Democrats used mainstream media (CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, New York Times, countless magazines (Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, Vanity Fair and so on), social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, to name a few) to shut down dissent, to shut down the Trump political wave and they did this for the Democrats. They corrupted our sources of information to further their agenda.

Think about this, hard. If Democrats will do this to someone who stood up to them and their agenda, think about what they are doing and will do to us US citizens.

Please Repost Every Single Time

Trump has withstood the worst of the worst. No one, not one public person would have stood up to the continuing abuse of executive, judicial and government authority the way Trump has. Criminal indictments, baseless civil suits, changing laws to suit Democrats, judges favoring Democrats against Trump, the continued imprisonment of the J6 defendants.

How can any of us want a Democrat to represent us, the United States in the White House? How can any of us want a Democrat to represent us in Congress? If you do, you must be nuts, you must not care about anything but yourself. Destroying our way of life, our traditions and principles for this rising tide of "everything that is wrong with the world" is obscene.

It's now or never. Trump or America gets flushed. Simple as that.

Get rid of all Democrats. Local, State, Federal. Throw all of them out. Include the RINOS. Mitt Romney, Linsey Graham, McConnell, and the others.

Clean slate!!

Let us help ourselves. Let us help Trump get back into the White House. He will get the job done. He will make us proud. He has our backs. Let's have his.

The way people are focusing on "My fav Gojo is not racist, he's just ignorant" and "Gege really hates Gojo he made him racist" when it was not even the point of that interaction. The point was to educate and talk about some stereotypes about black people that are harmful to the community and, if you look into it I'm sure you'll find has it origins in slavery.

Besides, Gojo is privileged and comes from an old money family, and it looks like he isolatehimself from others. Of course, it's in character for him to say stupid things like that. Even if he strives for change.

Yeah, everyone is so pressed that their fave is being problematic (which honestly Gojo has always been, he's hardly a saint and he treats many people quite shitty like for example Utahime and Ijichi) that they miss the bigger picture of this. Given, I think there are better ways to get that point across, but the aim here was definitely not "look at what a uniquely bad person Gojo is, I want to make readers hate him" it's for readers to reflect upon themselves and their own biases, conscious or not. Gojo is often being a dick to people, Miguel included, but this wasn't it. He wasn't just being annoying as usual, he made a misinformed statement rooted in racism "black people are naturally stronger/tougher/more resistant" and he got told off for it, which actually led to him apologizing. He expresses bigoted views, that are quite common all around the world and can lead to real harm like for example medical discrimination, but people often don't question or even notice that they have these views. I think exactly because he's such a fan-favourite character, Miguel calling him out and Gojo admitting he said fucked up shit is important.

Gojo might make a trip to Kenya to meet Yuuta, but unsurprisingly doesn't have any real black acquaintances and the one black person he knows a little better doesn't like him because he treats him like shit, an expandable tool (given, Miguel did try to help someone do a genocide so it's not like him working to make up for that in principle is a problem, but Gojo is not just treating him badly because of that) and has dismissed him and his culture as a whole. Gojo's racism towards Miguel didn't come out of thin air with chapter 255.

No wonder Miguel wants him dead.

You could say Gojo's racism and ignorance got punished before as this powerful cursed tool he so casually dismisses here together with its history could have gotten him out of the box much earlier. If he hadn't gone out of his way to destroy part of Kenyian sorcerer's culture because of his fear that it might be used to hurt him, he might still be alive. This chapter the payback was just more direct, Miguel was given the space to push back and not just get beat up (making in the previous moment Gojo seem like the righteous cool guy, seen by how the fandom reacted to their fight) and he also didn't sugar-coat it and straight up said "you're being racist".

The fact that Gojo apologized, something quite rare for him, and didn't defend his uninformed views or mocked Miguel for questioning him also shows that a lot of this comes from unaddressed biases, irrational fears and having lived a sheltered life in terms of being exposed to other cultures (and actually valuing them) that influence his judgement. He's not trying to be maliciously racist, but he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about and why it is harmful. I don't think he revelled in destroying other people's culture, he was just driven by a base fear, but that doesn't make the harm he caused any better. He's never had any reason to engage with black people on a personal level and that has unsurprisingly led to some ignorant opinions about them. Again, a very common sentiment which Gege uses Gojo to highlight. This is clearly reflecting arguments and talking points Gege has heard themselves and tried to address here. I'm sure there are all kinds of wild racist takes about Miguel on Japanese social media, I know the English side has them plenty.

I think the message Gege wanted to send was executed a bit clunkily by for example still tying Miguel's CT to rhythm (replacing the inhumanly strong black guy stereotype with another common one) and putting the burden all on Miguel to educate the people around him. Similarly, having only one (explicit) black person in the manga who has to then explain anti-black racism to the reader makes it feel very forced. I think you could've avoided a lot of that and included these topics more dynamically by giving us more background on Miguel's technique and how he came to it and comparing it to cursed technique's of other Kenyan or African sorcerer's. Another option would be making Hakari for example Black-Asian (or Todo or Yaga). He has a darker skin tone than the other characters and differently textured hair (which would already lead to him having to face a bunch of bigotry in his everyday life) and he is hated by the conservative higher-ups. So actually do something with that and address it.

Even Japanese people who are merely slightly tanned get harassed. Just being from Kyushu or Okinawa, somewhere where it's much warmer and sunnier and therefore not being as pale as the average person in e.g. Tokyo will get you plenty of derogatory comments, especially if you're a woman. That goes extra for indigenous people like the Ryukyuan or Ainu who not only face prejudice because of their appearance but also legal discrimination because of their origins and challenge the very popular notion that Japan only has one ethnic group and one language. Japan still struggles with a lot of racism internally against their own people, so you can imagine that it's even worse for anyone who newly immigrated or with parents who immigrated (in the best of times you will always be treated as a foreigner no matter how well you speak the language or integrate into the culture simply because you look "different"). It has gotten better in recent times, but it's still a problem, as Gege pointed out in this chapter.

Coming back to Hakari, we would also be able to see through him how jujutsu society treats black-identified Japanese sorcerers, which would be a different perspective from Miguel's who only visits Japan occasionally and mostly operated outside the system until Gojo came along. Black people aren't just something distant overseas, they are also Japanese citizens. You could show if and how jujutsu society differs from regular Japanese society. Most likely they are even more behind as they also discriminate against what kind of cursed technique you have (modern or one based on a long bloodline, which would automatically work against anyone not born in Japan and with a long family history there). You could also combine it with the transphobia Kirara faced and generally show how this system fails young sorcerers who don't conform to their norm.

But yeah, sorry Gojo is not perfect and will fall into the same stereotypical and bigoted thinking as many other people who rarely step outside their narrow homogenous social circle. Like you said, he's privileged with old money and family history who pride themselves on their bloodline. He's generally very narrow-minded about things that don't interest him or he sees as irrelevant like how he doesn't bother to understand Maki or has no problem ignoring a starving child on the road (who cares what happens to Hana, she's weak and Megumi is the strong one, he's who matters here and deserves to be lifted out of poverty) and international sorcerers fall under that as well. There are so little of them so it's okay to ignore them, why should he bother reaching out or informing himself about people abroad, he's never gonna interact with them anyway. If they get too dangerous for his taste, he's just gonna slap them around a bit and take away their sharp toys.

Honestly, I think what Gojo did previously is worse than what he said this chapter. He can learn to check his internalized racism and be more mindful of how he talks to Miguel or black people in general (he shows openness to criticism and improvement here), but he can't bring back Black Rope. It falls to Kenya's sorcerers to recreate it, which will take decades. They'll feel the impact of Gojo's actions long past his death, even when he can't say anything ignorant or racist anymore.

So I don't think this ruins his character, was done by Gege to make Gojo fans feel bad, or meant to keep anyone from liking him. He has character flaws and that is fine. He gets challenged on them and receives push back for them plenty in the story. I can understand that some fans feel bad reading the chapter, hearing Gojo regurgitate talking points they might've heard said against them as well, but it's not really Gege's fault for addressing this very common issue.

you follow a bingo blog that says the prize is the entirety of palestine? do you understand how fucked up that is? you're not as morally correct as you think you are.

Its war- hospitals, homes, stores, etc sadly do get bombed during war. It’s happened throughout history- it’s messed up but it’s part of war. I’m not a heartless bitch- all the civilians who had lost their lives in this war along other wars that had broken out- I do pray that their memories are a blessing and that their families can find peace and comfort during their time of mourning. But on the flip side- Hamas is also doing the same thing too (bombing wise), but I’m guessing that you don’t care about that. By your logic- what about Russia and Ukraine? Hospitals, homes, stores, etc are also getting destroyed in that war. Along with the wars that’s happening throughout the Middle East. Do those people matter? Do you care about their dead? Or is it only about Palestinians? I only ask this because I’ve seen people only care about Palestinians being killed and ignoring the others who are affected by this war or ignoring other current horrible wars happening and their dead.

And let’s go back to Hamas- you do know that they also to blame for this? They also bombed their own hospital (and probably more). They also use hospitals as their bases- does that not disturb you? They are literally putting their civilians in danger. They are using their own civilians as human shields. Any resources- food,water, other essentials that is meant to go to the civilians- Hamas is taking them and using it for themselves. Let’s not forget that Hamas is a terrorist group with ties/connections to isis and other groups too.

Let’s talk about 10/7. Hamas full on invaded Israel bombed them. They kidnapped/k*lled/r**** Israeli citizens. They burned down homes to lure out civilians who were hiding in them. They also impersonated IDF soldiers. Hamas still are holding hostages and treating them horribly. Then they tried to play the good guys and “clean” up the freed hostages to make it look like they were treated well. They are still holding hostages and Hamas is now treating it like a sick saw game of executing them. Are you disturbed by this?

Of course Israel was gonna defend itself after what happened! They had the right to defend itself. Any country in their shoes would have done the same thing. By your logic- do you blame Ukraine for defending itself when Russia invaded them? Also does the Israeli government have issues? Yes- but so does all the other governments too. So blaming all of Israel and Jews (because asshats are blaming Jews) is pointless because they- the civilians are not at fault. It’s like blaming all of America for what happened in the Middle East- I can tell you right now that the majority of us Americans did not want that war. But our government did not give a damn and still don’t (they don’t even care about us civilians but that’s another story)

I can keep going- about the propaganda that Hamas is spreading, the antisemitism that is on the rise because people always blame the Jews, etc… but I’ve already talked about that.

As for sources? It’s not my job to find reliable information about what’s happening for you- you can do that. (I’m not gonna hold your hand and guide you.) Look at where you are getting your information from. Is it from the news? Or did you get it from social media/tic tok? Be very wary of information you get from social media and tic tok because it mostly will contain misinformation- not always but still be cautious. Even be careful about information you are getting from the news because it can be biased. I look and score through various sources from all over the board- it does take time and patience but I’m pretty confident with my findings.

As for the bingo- I’m positive that the person who created that bingo board already explained why it was created. You can look it up if you want.

I agree 100% with your analysis on Jihan and Ahjeong dating in public. You can acknowledge that they thought they wouldn’t get caught dating in public because they didn’t think anyone knew who they were while also acknowledging that they are extremely stupid for thinking that way. They’re perfectly aware that Dohan is being watched but somehow don’t think for a single second that they could also be watched? I understand they didn’t follow that logic but I can also say they are idiots for thinking that. I don’t think either of them are bad people but they are incredibly stupid and reckless and have been since the beginning when they got drunk and were a second away from spilling everything to the grandpa in the taxi. It’s not a crime to acknowledge that like some people seem to think it is. It’s not even saying Dohan has never been selfish while everyone else only thinks of themselves, but it just feels so uneven because Dohan has so much more to lose than anyone else. I look at reactions on multiple social media platforms so I’m not sure what is said where, but seeing people say that Dohan should out himself publicly to save Jihan and Ahjeong’s relationship just makes me feel like I’m going crazy. Seeing everyone act like Jihan has done nothing but give up everything he wants for the sake of Dohan makes me feel crazy. Seeing people act like Ahjeong was forced to marry Dohan against her will makes me feel crazy. I feel like I’m watching a different show than everyone else lol.

I cannot imagine people saying that Ah Jeong is being forced into this marriage. She agreed! She even had time to think it over, originally rejected it and then came back to it after Ji Han pissed her off. This is not something Do Han threatened her into or forced onto her. Ugh. I hope to never see that on my dash here.

But, yeah.

I was annoyed at both of them since the date at the movie festival early on. That was in a hugely public and well photographed place filled with the media and Ji Han just went and took his brother's fiance there and took her back to a hotel room together in front of a famous actress? And nothing ever came of that?! Still annoyed.

It's not that they're bad people, though I might argue they are. But it's more that they are truly being assholes to Do Han. What has Ji Han given up for Do Han?! He chose this path and then he tried to do everything in his power to destroy their marriage when he thought it was real!

Ji Han says he wants Do Han to be happy but what he really wants is for Do Han to be his idea of happy. Ji Han wants Do Han to lead the life Ji Han pictures for him, the life of marrying and working in this business and having a wife and power. That's all. And that's not truly wanting someone to be happy. that's wanting someone else to lead the life you don't lead.

Truthfully, Ji Han is so selfish but because he disguises it as caring about Do Han it doesn't feel selfish. But has he ever truly considered what Do Han wants? Or is just what Ji Han has decided Do Han wants every single time?

He accuses Do Han of being selfish with his choice but all Ji Han has ever done is encourage Do Han to give up his dreams and follow Ji Han's dreams instead.

Ah Jeong is, frankly, just a failure of writing. She is so close to being a good friend and the show could have made her one if it hadn't been so determined to write her in a Certain Way.

(Remember when she made a joke with Ji Han's coworkers about bringing his clothing back to him at work and how she implied they were lovers to, again, all of Ji Han's coworkers after she knew how powerful Do Han's family was and all his secrets? I remember.)

I'm very glad to be avoiding the mainstream discussion on this show. I'll just sit in my little corner and defend Do Han.

Firstly, sex and gender are different things. One is biological, the other is psychological. There's nothing preventing anyone of either sex from being a man or a woman.

Are you under the impression that I've never heard these claims before and your message is enough to prove me wrong? If you want me to believe what you're saying is true, you're going to have to provide evidence and an actual argument as to why you are correct. I'm willing to change my mind if you actually have a strong case and the evidence backs you up. But not because you simply state that it is so. I know kids aren't being taught how to think and reason anymore and just to parrot what they hear, but it's really important to know how to defend your own beliefs.

Sex and gender are the same thing. They have always been the same thing and always will be the same thing. When you say gender is "psychological" what you're really referring to is how people "identify." You can identify in your mind as whatever you want. But gender is also a physical reality. If you actually think the sentence "there's nothing preventing anyone of either sex from being a man or a woman" is logically sound and makes sense I feel very sad for you. A man can only be a man. He can think he's a woman and act like a woman, dress like a woman and try to look like a woman but he can't be a woman. A woman can only be a woman. She can think she's a man and act like a man, dress like a man and try to look like a man but she can't be a man. You can't change your biology and gender is biological because it's the same as sex. Male means man. Female means woman. Your brain can make you feel like the opposite gender but there is no credible or even valid evidence out there that suggests gender is psychological.

To accept that as truth when there is nothing out there to suggest that it's true means you are not listening to science or reality. You are following a pseudoscience that was the brain child of a disgusting pedophile who, when attempting to prove the idea that you just stated as though it's a fact, succeeded only in molesting young boys and completely destroying a young man's life by having his parents raise him as a girl (you know, because gender is psychological) and all that did was end with that man killing himself. So good for you for repeating that nonsense that does nothing except destroy people every time someone tries to prove it.

You just believe it because you follow the mob and that's what the mob believes so that's what you believe. But it's not true. And if it was you could do more than repeat long dead debunked talking points. I swear all you guys can say is "gender and sex are different things. One is biological the other is psychological." But I don't think any of you even know that what means because you can't even elaborate. All you have is that one sentence. Did they stick you in a reeducation camp or something and just make you repeat that line over and over again until you believed it and then send you out into the real world to try and defeat science and reality with that one, pathetic sentence?

Now, onto your socialism nonsense. That is, by far, the weakest definition and attempt at separating Hitler from socialism I have ever seen. Of course they were his beliefs because he was a national socialist. What exactly do you think you just said there? I'm not going to go too deep into this because this is a complicated topic and there's a lot to go over and I don't feel like a writing a book on socialism and Hitler (but you should honestly go read some) and even I did I'm quite confident it would go in one ear and out the other since you have a list of sentences that you will be repeating regardless of what I say.

But I will say your definition of socialism is just wrong. Socialism, at its core, is simply state control of the economy and there are different variants of socialism but they all involve, as their foundation, state control of the economy. The only reason people have been spreading the idea that Hitler wasn't socialist and was right wing is because there was a strong racial component to his socialism and people have been brainwashed into thinking that only right wing people can be racist but that is far from the truth.

National socialism is 100% socialism and Hitler's racism was his socialism because race is a necessary component of national socialism since race is what is considered the "nation" in this ideology. Hitler was, in every conceivable way, a socialist. He wanted the German state he created to be in complete control of the economy. He had socialist ideals, he was trying to create a socialist state and I can't believe people are naive enough to think they can debunk this by pointing that Hitler was racist. Yeah, duh. Of course he was he was a national socialist, which is not socialism in name only as you would know if you actually knew what you were talking about. See, all you know about Hitler is that he was a racist, and you think that's enough to prove he wasn't really a socialist but being racist doesn't cancel out being a socialist. It's possible (and necessary if you're a national socialist) to be both.

Honestly, these arguments are getting old. I've given plenty of reasoning throughout my conversations on this blog to the nonsense ideas of gender theory and the "Hitler wasn't a socialist" history revisionism going on but all you guys come back with is the same sentences I've already responded to over and over and over again providing no new argument or anything. Just the same words as if you think repeating them over and over again will get me to agree with you because that's how it worked on you. But that's not going to work on me. I require more thinking and rationalizing of ideas in order to believe something. Not just empty phrases.

So anyone else who just comes back with "sex and gender are different things" and "Hitler wasn't a socialist" without being able to bring anything new to the conversation will be ignored. Because I've thoroughly responded to both of those claims multiple times.

The car and trail cam interactions made me wonder, what is Firestar's opinion on humans? Like yes he was told to leave them behind and has seen them do horrible things, but he was also socialized as a kitten. He had owners that loved and cared for him.

I don't remember this being something the books covered (Maybe firestars quest? I don't remember) besides him repeating what he was told from day 1 of entering Thunderclan about not being able to live with humans and the clans.

For most of his early life, he was neutral-positive towards them. He knows they aren't all bad, they're WONDERFUL to Smudge, his housefolk adored him and kept him fed and loved. He didn't want to be fixed, but he understands it's really just part of the deal along with having your kits taken at a certain age.

He was the equivalent of 13 when he left, and he likes Clan Culture a lot more than Kittypet Culture in spite of all its flaws, but he did understand Princess' choice, and those like them.

But, you can't just watch everything you've ever loved get bulldozed, lose several loyal warriors, watch children die of starvation, and have your best friend get kidnapped without Reconsidering.

Cats died because of what the humans did, people he really loved. Dappletail taught him how to speak Clanmew. He watched Elderberry grow up and become an aunt. He expected Shrewpaw to become his son-in-law some day. Cricketclaw was mauled helping to defend Sunningrocks when they were thrown from their camp. Through all of this, he was responsible for them, and yet he was powerless to do a thing.

He's much, much less afraid of human things than his Clanmates, but he's not neutral about them anymore. He encourages his cats to stay safe and avoid humans at all costs, and he would NOT be opposed to outright attacking someone who tried to touch one of his cats. He's like Clan Dad, and everyone is one of his kittens.

So, really, it's lasting trauma. Most Clan cats have it, after the Forest is destroyed.

IMO, I don’t think A stans who attack Sansa for her classism truly cares about it. I mean, they want A to be queen/lady (and there’s nothing wrong with wanting that) but such an ending would only be reinforcing the structure they’re critising.

And it’s great and important that A plays with lowborn children and tried to defend Mycah but that doesn’t make her a marxist revolutionary lol, it doesn’t erase her own classism. All nobles are classist, a few of them bother to treat peasants relatively well (the Starks, Edmure, etc) but that unfair system still exists. You can’t have nobility without inequality.

And I'll paste this one in too:

Unpopular opinion but if Arya’s stans genuinely believed in her as someone who isn’t classist, they would imagine her leading a social revolution that topples and destroy feudalism. Not someone who serves the conception of hereditary monarchy, serfdom (despite treating them with humanity), hierarchical social categories, etc. Arya as QITN would be a reformist, not a revolutionnary.

So, I never thought more than being a good leader within the system was a possibility? During GoT they played up this idea that Dany was gonna change the system, "break the wheel," but that was mainly to hide the fact that going to war for a crown was a selfish thing to do, that she wasn't a hero for choosing that path. Considering how Martin has written about the tragedy of the Starks losing Winterfell, the little boys being chased from their home, I never imagined that his ending would involve a king or queen turning around and doing that to another noble child? IMO, there was never going to be any seizing and divvying up wealth.

In ASOIAF, it seems like the focus is much more on having a leader who will be capable of maintaining peace and delivering justice and taking care of some practical concerns. It never even occurred to me to expect an end to feudalism? So, yeah, I would agree that the most anyone could be was a reformist, but I didn't even think that was the idea (in the way fans would mean it) that Martin was tracking. It didn't seem to me that he was gonna do away with nobles, only that he was saying a good noble won't allow his smallfolk to be mistreated and wouldn't ruin their lives for the sake of a crown. I thought that's where the Robb criticism comes in. Robb should have chosen peace, not more fighting.

I also thought the good noble was being presented with Ned. Protect the vulnerable, be horrified by the death of the innocent, adhere to these personal values even when they are in defiance of what your world demands, even when it means betrayal of a "brother" or treason against your king. Obviously, Ned fell short of the ideal, but that's why his children will rise to power, because they have the same core values that Martin wants us to look at as good.

Personally, I think Arya being rebellious and kicking against the rules that annoy her is fun? My little sister was a tomboy, and I have sympathy for Sansa, but I'm amused by Arya. However, I do not attribute as much, uh, let's say, virtue to her behavior as others do. Nor do I attach the same amount of condemnation to Sansa (who recognizes class distinctions) that others do. To me, Martin used the Trident incident to illustrate how the class differences worked because it's a grievance of his that writers ignore them:

The bad authors adopt the class structures of the Middle Ages; where you had the royalty and then you had the nobility and you had the merchant class and then you have the peasants and so forth. But they don’t’ seem to realize what it actually meant. They have scenes where the spunky peasant girl tells off the pretty prince. The pretty prince would have raped the spunky peasant girl. He would have put her in the stocks and then had garbage thrown at her. You know. I mean, the class structures in places like this had teeth. They had consequences. And people were brought up from their childhood to know their place and to know that duties of their class and the privileges of their class. It was always a source of friction when someone got outside of that thing. And I tried to reflect that. (link)

With that in mind, I thought Martin wanted to impress upon the reader the severity of what the hierarchy meant, the prince can do whatever the hell he wants, the noble kid is in danger of being punished (Arya might have lost a hand, Sansa loses Lady), Mycah is killed. We were meant to understand, this world isn't ours. Arya in an important way, didn't understand how the world worked, not really, which is a tool the author was using, her grief and horror, to guide us through learning about station in ASOIAF. We needed to see and feel the disparity.

Obviously, Martin doesn't think that's a good system, but the author slapping us in the face with, “this is horrible but this is the way it is” doesn’t mean we’re to expect a total transformation of Westeros as a whole in the last few chapters of the final book. Martin wants to have some verisimilitude to (his perception of) medieval times, so imo, the idea was never turning Westeros on its head, but for people who cared to end up in control and be better. Not like a modern anarchist, but be good within the confines of that world.

Anyway, because of how many Arya fans hate Sansa/Sansa fans, I never did much with that side of the fandom, but I never had the impression they truly thought anyone would be revolutionizing things. It seemed to me that they believed her ending up QitN was revolutionary not in the sense that she would upend the system, but to them, having a girl who rejected societal norms come out on top felt like an important rejection of a traditional princess “winning.” I assume that's why so much of their focus is on Sansa and how she ruined Arya's life even though she and Arya have been separated for books. It isn't so much what the particular character will do as a leader, which theme is upheld by them ending up in a position of leadership, the "revolutionary" bit is determined by defiance of (what they believe are) genre norms, not societal overhaul on the page.

Now, if we accept that a total societal revolution is off the table in ASOIAF, and knowing that Martin opposes violence pretty vehemently, isn't in favor of imposing your will through violent means, how can someone who rejects society encourage gradual improvement? Wouldn't the "realism" Martin wants be found in a person, who say, can function really, really well within the structure of society but cares enough to try to make things better for others? Someone who can change it all from within because their societal position confers a certain amount of power, but also, they have a notable ability to win admiration, even when it is begrudgingly given? Someone whose compassion, even for enemies, is highlighted? Isn’t that someone who would be able to gradually bring about the kind of realistic change Martin would permit in his world?

about the dream allegations? im sorry but i cant fully believe amanduh's case because she has so many holes in her story to the point that she's also destroying her own case as well. i had a talk with my friend who was groomed for years and they told me what a victim usually acted when sharing their story.

i cant say if the victims should act like that all the time when exposing someone for grooming but it was really sus that she wasn't, uh how should i say this, emotional i guess???

(edit: i phrased that so bad but what im trying to say is that everyone has a different reactions to grooming but from amanduh's video, (i showed it to my friend after so that they'll the one who will judge her instead of me) both my friend and i noticed how she doesn't really put her heart into it in a sense? it's along that line technically but still not all victims have the same reaction as my friend.)

other than that, a lot of people were pointing out how the math ain't mathing with the story.

first, she said that she was turning 18 when dream texted her and allegedly started sexting her but in one of her tweets, she said that she just turned 17 last year. which is really confusing and downright idiotic if she lied about her age.

second, she said that she was with her boyfriend during the years 2020 to 2021 thus she stopped texting dream at that time range. but here's what confused me, she herself said that her and her boyfriend met at april 2022 tho??? someone might ask "but bella, this boyfriend might be the different one!!!" no, she didn't have an ex. she could have explicitly said "ex", "ex boyfriend" or "current boyfriend at that time" and her boyfriend confirmed that he was already with her when the dream situation happened.

third, she was still following dream up until today when people noticed that she made that post but still kept up to date with his life happenings in twitter. in fact, she was defending and liking posts about dream's face reveal no less than a week and few days ago. if she was a victim of his grooming, shouldn't she unfollowed and blocked him in all of his social media platforms??? make it make sense. (photos aren't mine, i forgot who the user is because of the sheer idiocy i witnessed).

fourth, she tried to get keemstar of all people to cover her case instead of going to literal lawyers if she wanted everyone to hear her and the "victims" voices. if she really want to make a credible case, she should hold her cards close to her chest instead of showcasing the evidences in the internet before she could even take legal actions against dream. it's literally the best and most logical action she could have done instead of this.

fifth, she already has a record of being...weird online?? like this photo for example is literally just crazy for me to read...i literally can't take face value if she's like this.

i also saw people how the first girl before amanduh already admitted that her claims were fake and i wont be surprised if this one is fake as well. look im not a die hard fan or a stan of dream but i do watch his content and my friend (from earlier) does so as well, and they're downright pissed at this situation because these girls might have destroyed the chances for actual victims of grooming to speak up about their own situations. all for what? clout? it disgusted me and my friend to see people using this serious matter for something so cruel and malicious. i used to believe on the "believe the victim first and foremost" but after the amber heard case and then this, i would be more on "listen and criticize if the victim's claims are true".

to the girls who made these claims and proven to be false, i hope you have a fun time in hell after all of this.

but if it was ever proven that dream literally did it, then i'll retract my statement and remove myself from the internet to reflect.

either way, only time will tell and i hope everything clears up.

I am a Harry Styles fan. I am not a "girlfriend stan." But when he dates someone, I don't automatically find reasons to hate her, pick her apart, dox her, ridicule her, belittle her, harass/cyberbully her, make up lies about her, talk shit about her appearance, judge her parenting if she's a mom, etc.

My first instinct is to uplift and encourage women. And when I see women being bashed or belittled for no reason, I want to protect them and defend them. I truly don't understand why a woman comes under immediate, intense scrutiny and harassment just because she dates Harry Styles. And I mean that for ANY and EVERYONE he has ever dated.

This fanbase picks women apart like they themselves are perfect, have never done anything wrong, never have put their foot in their mouths or said anything questionable, never had a bad hair day or a bad skin day, never had a wrinkle, a zit, never worn a bad outfit, never made a bad decision, etc.

How can the 1D fanbase be okay with inflicting pain and torment on other people, on women that date Harry? Because that's what constant, everyday bashing is, it's pain and torment. And if you're not bashing them directly, constantly talking shit about them online "empowers" other fans to go directly to their social media and bash them. Why is this fanbase's first instinct to immediately pick apart and HATE someone who dates Harry? I don't get it. Why is that seen as a "normal" thing to do, and if you don't do it, you're a "girlfriend stan?"

I am not a girlfriend stan but a women stan, a compassion-for-other -human beings stan, a stan for fairness, a stan for mental health, a stan for confidence, self-esteem, and uplifting others.

This fanbase tried to destroy Olivia Wilde for absolutely no reason at all. Olivia is only 10 years older than Harry. Harry is not 16 or 18. He's not an inexperienced, vulnerable teen, or a 22-year-old virgin with no life experience. He's well past the age where he can date someone 10 years older and it not be a problem. Why is it okay to age shame Olivia or mom shame Olivia? I know there are Harry fans the same age as Olivia or older who love Harry and have crushes on him. I know there are moms who have crushes on him. So why is it so wrong for him to fall in love with a mom who is older than him? Who in the hell are we in this fanbase to destroy, tear apart, shame, make up stories about, and harass her?

You have no right to pick apart Olivia and talk shit about her at every turn, and then uplift Taylor just because you "like" her and think she's "better" than Olivia. Or because he finally dated someone who "looks like you. (And I say that as a person of color). Do you know why? Because you have no right to judge, or "approve" the people who date Harry. You don't own him. You don't know him. And you don't know the people who date him.

I knew who Olivia Wilde, Kendall Jenner, and Taylor Swift were. But with Camille Rowe and Taylor Russell, I had never heard of them before Harry. But you know what I did when I first saw them with Harry? I smiled because it's nice to see someone I like, Harry Styles, dating someone, because that's what most people want in life, to find love. Not everybody, but most people. I don't stan women he dates, but I sure as fuck don't hate them or talk shit about them. Like I said, my first instinct is to uplift women, see the good in them, etc.

Do you know how abnormal, how freakish it is to start disliking and trashing someone just because they're dating your favorite popstar? You are not a good person if you do this. You are not kind. You are not sweet. You're not cool. You're not funny. You are not a "safe space."

Can you think of how awful you would feel, how traumatized you would be, if you started dating Harry, or someone in the public eye you're attracted to, and all of a sudden you get picked apart in every way possible and cyber bullied? Or a whole different situation, where if you posted something immature or questionable online, or put your foot in your mouth, you're judged or punished for it forever? Why is it okay for you to make mistakes and for people to give you grace, for you to have second chances, but you can't do the same for a stranger who just happens to date Harry Styles?

Don't you know that people have harmed themselves from getting bullied and abused? I'll bet that you'd say you never want to cause that type of pain to anyone, but the first thing you do is pick apart, harass, and shame anyone who dates Harry Styles. Please look deep within yourselves and fix whatever is going on inside of you that makes you do this to his girlfriends, or to any human being for any reason.

Instead of immediately hating on a woman who dates Harry, do you know what you can do? You can leave her the hell alone. Stop talking shit about her. Stop leaving disgusting hate on her social media. I'm going to be very blunt, but you AND me never stood a chance with Harry, not at all. So him having a girlfriend changes nothing.

You know why you bash his girlfriends, right? It's out of pure jealousy. And there's use denying it, because everyone knows it. that's the only reason. Those of you who are enjoying seeing Taylor Russell and Harry together, but who bashed Olivia, Camille, Kendall, and whoever else Harry has dated in the past, you've helped create an environment where it's okay to hate on Taylor. See what you've done?

(And another thing...why is it okay and "allowed" for some of the the 1D men to have girlfriends, get applauded for it, get talked about how cute they are as a couple (for example, Niall and his girlfriend), but Harry and his girlfriends immediately bashed hated on? Why is okay for Niall and say Liam, to want to have a partner, but not Harry? But that's a story for another post, and I'm tired right now).

i feel a lil bad asking this right when a lot of people are excited for hostile takeover, but for financial reasons, i might need to start putting some of my energy into more serious original projects again.

i'm not pausing HT — i don't think i could stop thinking about those lezbots if i tried — but being able to take breaks to work on other things tends to be good for my energy levels in general.

and honestly, when i first started, i thought HT itself was just going to be a quick break from those projects, and now i'm four months in and my plans keep growing >.>

anyway, the purpose of this post is that i wanted to gauge interest. i know most people follow me for murder drones stuff, but do any of the original stories i'm considering interest you?

more detailed pitches for each of these can be found under the cut. honesty is appreciated.

a note before i pitch them — when i write original fiction, i post it to my site and a site for original fiction called royalroad. i'll probably reserve my ao3 account for, yknow, fanfiction.

the plan is that while the stories will eventually be available publically, supporters to my patreon will get to read several chapters ahead of everyone else.

Aurora Moonrise

It is the nature of comets to dazzle and destroy. These eldritch spirits from beyond the stars grind kingdoms to dust with joyful ease. Only the power of a daughter of the moon can repel them. There are none left. Aurora knows she is different. Her father is a plain man, and her mother is a mystery. Her prismatic hair, her divergent mind, her inability to weave common enchantments — it must come from her mother's side. But her mother is gone and no one will say why or where or anything. It's enough to make her want to fight someone. And Aurora fights — people, animals, spirits, it doesn't matter. She doesn't want to hurt them, but it's thrilling. She'll just have to become a knight — knights get to fight things, right? And knights get answers to who their parents were. When a cursed storm leaves Aurora glowing in the light of the full moon, she awakens new powers she can't control. Powers unheard of, except in those old stories. But the word on the lips of churchmen is witchcraft — communion with unnatural spirits that spells doom. Will she defend humanity? Or is she a threat to it?

pitching this one is hard, because the most interesting thing about is a twist reveal at the end of the first arc. at first, you can see it's framed to suggest — and Aurora initially believes — her mother is a "daughter of the moon", but of course, she's actually a comet.

as the poll option suggests, her inhuman heritage makes urges her to fight and hinders her ability to understand the basics of human social interaction.

this would be a long story, lighter in tone than the others, and structured like a fantasy trilogy, about Aurora journeying across the land doing what she thinks heroes do. along the way, she picks up several party members with their own weird baggage. all of them girls, of course, and it gets very gay by the end — but it's slow going because, yknow, aurora doesn't understand romance, either.

i'm very excited about this project — just thinking about it is enough to get me bouncing. you can actually read a four chapter teaser right now, and i have over 70k words of notes past that, with the whole thing outlined start to finish.

Thy Wretched Mask

Everyone wants to peel off their skin and scream into the night. You're just supposed to keep a handle on that. Beca's trying. Now on the run, she'll just have to get it right in a new town. She's got nothing to her name save a pet raven, but a little pickpocketing will change that. Maybe a burglary or two. As long as she doesn't tear someone's flesh apart in broad daylight, she could keep things controlled. It's a lonely life, but friendship is only temptation. She should just keep to herself. So why does she listen when the woman from the shadows talks? They're making an offer that could lift her off the streets for good. The catch? She has to kill someone. Again. That's definitely too much temptation.

once again, the most interesting parts of this are a surprise. Beca isn't human; she's saddled predatory instincts she doesn't understand. the "fungal possession" comes into play several chapters in. it gets intense enough that i believe it's one of the few times i've teared up while writing something, and it's so far the first and only time i've written something that explores topics of plurality, which is pretty personal to us

i say HT is the first time i've written romance (and it is), but TWM came close, and would have gotten even closer if i continued it.

i've already written over 20k words of this (unpublished), but due to the writing exercise it began as, it requires substantial rewrites; i cringe when i try to reread it, and it honestly makes the prospect of returning a bit unexciting.

this would probably only about the length of a novel. (original projection was novella length, but i think i want to flesh it out more.)

of all of my potential projects, i think this one is probably the biggest thematic overlap with Hostile Takeover. but uh, it's dark enough to make that look like a sappy romance >.<

Running Out of Skin & Time

Tomorrow, a lord will be flayed alive. Once his flesh, freely given, is woven into a vast frame, enchanted scars will turn him into a living portal, a gift that could turn a blightstricken town into a bustling trade nexus. Apnoe has woken up beside the same dead girl three nights in a row. The lord's flaying is tomorrow — same as it was for the last three nights. She's the only one who's noticed. Assassins lurk in the flaying festival's crowds, and when they strike the lord dead, the whole town watches their dreams crumble, and then Apnoe wakes again as if from a dream. She knew this quite well; on the first night, she had killed him. Scarred flesh grants magic. How deep a wound did it take to make every living soul in the city relive the same day? It wasn't Apnoe's, and she doesn't know why only she remembers, but then again, most scar magic treats her differently. After all, she's dead half the time. Apnoe would kill to end this nightmare — but it seems the only way out is saving a man who'll die tomorrow anyway.

of all the options, this story is the least well flesh out (no pun intended), but it has a lot of potential. a "time loop" where a character relives the same day over and over is something not enough stories explore well

(if it means anything to you, the inspiration for this fic was literally just thinking "what if the Shibuya Incident was a time loop?")

i call this "superhero fantasy" because, while i havent figured out the tech level (it's industrial, but how modern?), the magic system gives everyone unique and specific abilities that are easiest to imagine as superpowers.

the time loop effect itself is the rube goldberg interaction of half a dozen powers, and part of the fic is puzzling out just how it works, as well as puzzling out how to overcome the various powers arrayed against the lord.

it would be a very complex, cerebral fic, all about power progression and fight scenes, but at its heart, i want it to be the story of two dead girls who love each other enough to unravel fate itself

Death and servitude leaves her gaze empty. It's easy to be a follower, but is there a purpose worth living for? First, the three need answers. A grand scheme is unfolding, and Duskroot was only the first step.

unlike all of the others, this isn't an idea for a story, or a plan for a story, it is a story, one i've written 100k words for. you can read it here

it's set in an expansive setting i've spent literal years thinking about with giant insects empowered by virulent mutant bat blood and cold black corruption pouring out from a hole in the sky.

it's also, shamelessly, only avoids being called naruto fanfiction by dint of sheer weirdness

Aurora Moonrise may be the story i'm most excited about, but ACH is the one with the most ambition and purpose behind it. if i could only ever tell one story in my life, it'd probably make it ACH. it might be over a million words if i ever finish it

but i also think it's probably too weird to get very popular.

And so on

if you can't tell already, i have a LOT of story ideas. before i ever watched murder drones, would you believe i was literally already working on a story about killer lesbian robots on a inhospitable frozen planet haunted by a creeping cosmic horror?

and i'm kind of tempted to work on a story about modular mushroom creatures that live underground. or a fricken pokemon mystery dungeon self-insert i've already finished one chapter of.

and of course, i have several other stories i could continue working on.

but like, the stories i've listed are the ones i can honestly say i might work on right now. and, practically speaking, the stories that might genuinely takeoff, if i dare hope.

I can probably guess, but how would those individuals getting the Death Note make things worse?

Well,

While she probably should have the book over Light, Emilia is far more ambitious and dangerous that he could be even without the notebook. She's sort of this embodiment of a child's imagination/rebellion in that she's this rebellious firecracker that can do basically anything and has very little respect for grown-ups and very little tolerance for injustice, but she's also egotistical and stubborn and has very little breaks and a very stunted sense of morality, among many other flaws. She's not really that bad, she's a trickster with a big heart trying to make the best of a fiercely opinionated brain and a lease in life she was never supposed to have, she grows for the better but, she did think about cutting off an angel's wings just to see what happened (she later saved the angel by beating Popeye with food poisoning). She held the world hostage with a shrinking spell to try and force the U.S President into ending war forever. Her first appearence had her win a fight by carving out a scorpion's eyeballs with a barbecue spit. Again, she's not evil, but she tends to rejects concepts like "nuance", "social filter" and "not getting to do what she wants right now". She absolutely would have a list planned for the occasion, and there would be a lot of politicians and big shot important folks in there. I'm starting to reconsider my stance on whether she should have the book or not.

The Golden Amazon actually is just straight up evil though. In the first book, she destroys most of England and attempts to rule the world by replacing humanity with synthetic beings, by the second she's leading a secret society of superwomen from the Amazon, and in the following books, while she became an "anti-hero" in the loosest sense possible, that's more so because she succeeds in taking over things and so now has to defend her matriarchy from aliens and saboteurs (I think the books might have retconned some details as they went along but she seems to be either defending Earth so she can rule it or already being it's ruler). She is the Dominatrix of the Solar System, the greatest scientist who ever lived, a cruel, ice cold murder expert superhuman who pretty much doesn't need the Death Note in any way, she really really doesn't need any kind of help in killing/torturing people. The real danger here is her learning about the existence of the shinigami and the shinigami world and deciding she doesn't like death gods in on her territory (existence itself) and deciding to do something about it.

The Black Bat, I mean, Tony Quinn is kind of a piece of shit. He's a scarred and miserable District Attorney turned vigilante serial killer who brands the corpses of the criminals he kills, and unlike The Spider he's not exactly dealing with apocalyptic extreme circumstances to make this behavior less insane, he's just fighting mobsters. Passing the Death Note from the son of a cop, into the hands of a disgraced District Attorney who already decided to go out at night to murder crime with guns and has associates at hand to help him do it is just, well it's not exactly a step up from the threat Light Yagami posed.

El Sombra, look, Djego tried, he truly did. He did a lot of good. If you gave him the Death Note, he'd use it exclusively to kill Nazis and he'd mean it, because that's all he ever did, if you handed him the book during the events of El Sombra and Gods of Manhattan he could have done a lot of good with it. It's just, Pax Omega happened, and what became of him is absolutely not someone who you want to hand something like the Death Note to. He failed, and he failed where it mattered most, and his reward for failure was becoming version 2.0 of everything he hated most and nearly dooming the entire planet. Even if he could have used it to kill Hitler and every member of Untergang, there was no happy ending to the tale of El Sombra. He just failed too profoundly for that to be possible.

The Whisperer, see The Black Bat's deal but times ten, or really just read that editor note above introducing him. The Whisperer is "Wildcat" James Gordon, a handsome young dandy Police Commissioner who, once elected, turned out to be a total maniac asshole (famously burned down an illegal casino as Commissioner, didn't even put on a disguise to do it) and who fights crime by transforming himself into an unrecognizably older persona so he can murder people with impunity. I feel like I don't have to elaborate much here, what's wrong with this guy is fairly brutally self-evident.

The Blue Morpho, because, well how long you've got? Even if you've never watched The Venture Bros and don't know all the horrible things he's done personally, I feel like "cartoon supervillain moonlighting as a dark violent pulp hero in order to kill all the other supervillains in town standing in his way" is fairly self-explanatory. Mr Fitzcarraldo here offed his world's Legion of Doom in one blow pretty much by accident. He's not really out to kill for killing's sake, he just wants to get one guy really badly, but he doesn't really care who he has to get rid of to do that, or even just killing people to solve minor dumb inconveniences like avoiding paying taxi fare or being annoyed by a henchman. He might have the biggest on-screen body count in a show that has Brock Samson in it and only became deadlier as The Blue Morpho, that's no small feat.

Hugo Danner, because there is not a single aspect of Hugo Danner's life that didn't suck and that he didn't find a way to make worse. Hugo Danner was every bad/evil/stupid take on Superman published years before the genuine article. Hugo Danner is the Garth Ennis Superman pisstake that Garth Ennis loved the character too much to actually do. Hugo Danner enlisted in WW1 and only realized he could have ended it single-handedly after he'd already slaughtered thousands and thousands of poor infantrymen with his bare hands and the war ended, and promptly hated himself for being such a colossal idiot. He could not conceive of solutions that didn't envolve "squeezing continents into submission" and punishing all the people too stupid and scared to love him the way he thought he deserved. He hated himself too much to even kickstart plans to create a master race. He got himself killed by cursing the skies and being struck by a lightning bolt on the final page. There's not a lot that the Death Note could have done to save his life from being a shit show, but all he ever did was perpetrate that shit show on others so, yeah, good riddance Danner you stupid bastard.

another on my list of favorite things about stede is that he's catty and bitchy and incredibly passive aggressive! this one i have so many thoughts about because i love that stede is incredibly flawed as a person; his cattiness and passive aggression are both a plus and a minus, as so many excellent character traits should be.

stede understands the aristocratic social settings of his time, his place - he may not be able to win them, but he understands them, he knows how to move in that world, he's just never been the person who could be liked and popular - but he UNDERSTANDS that world. He understands passive aggression and wields it like a master, sword and shield, aggressor and defender and sometimes coward, and like, as someone who hates passive aggression, i DO love when stede is being bitchy and catty because it's him having some backbone - i even love when he's doing it to the wrong people, because it shows where he stands and the room he has to grow.

when stede makes that fabulously bitchy little "trouble in paradise" remark, he knows that he's remarking on the underlying tension in ed and izzy's dynamic. when he's masterfully playing those french assholes, he's manipulating the social setting to his advantage, for his ends. even in episode 8, when he passive aggressively says that oh he's fine with his furniture being destroyed - he knows what he's doing! he's catty and bitchy and he's not naive and foolish and unable to understand communication, unable to converse. stede is often emotionally withholding and he doesn't necessarily understand himself or let others easily perceive him, but he's actually pretty good at the subtext. he lives in the subtext, communicates in it.

even in that bitchy moment to mary, where he says he forgives her for sleeping with doug - which he's not sincere about, he's passive aggressive there as he's been about other things throughout that episode (though even if it was sincere it would be gross and patronizing because you don't get to feel upset about that stede! you're the one who walked out!) - i both love and hate it. love it because god that's stede alright once again wielding passive aggression like a master, hate it because stede, buddy, pal, this is not a case where you're owed an apology, actually, this is not episode 8 where you want to say you hated that thing (and you're right to hate that thing) but you don't want to directly ask. this is the inverse of that, where you're upset about something to someone you don't have a right to be upset about -

but it's still good to see? because even if he's fucking it up, at least he's USING HIS WORDS. poorly, sure, but they aren't locked in his head.

and yes obviously i was with mary when she tried to kill him and glad when she failed. but also. it was a wonderfully bitchy little moment.

i hope that in season 2 we see more of catty and bitchy stede, but that its directed at the right people. i want to see him bitchy at izzy. i want to see him bitchy at pirates that disrespect him. i want to see him humble the english with passive aggression.

i want to see him wield his power for my own entertainment.

Wow amazing art but this is strike one. Yiffy was the inevitable failure of postcanon, even with the new union and art team, her very existence ruins Rosemary, ruins Jade, ruins the setting and pisses off the fanbase no matter what you do.

Remove Yiffany and you retcon a major plot point of postcanon and the 4th kid for the new kids for the Candy timeline, keep her in and Jade is still a futanari who imposed herself on Rose to ruin the fanbase’s favorite lesbian couple and raise the kid with a fascist because… people on Earth C are too nosy.

Yiffany destroyed all hype for the original Homestuck^2 when she was revealed, even for as mediocre as the comic started out as, there were fans and speculation, which turned to spite for being so poorly handled. Even now with the new team, r/homestuck at least seems to enjoy the new content (excluding a few voices and r/englishpumpkinparty) but clearly any content with yiffany is gonna piss someone off.

Literally if Hussie just stopped at the epilogues the fandom would like postcanon more. It would have its detractor but it’s easier to defend the epilogues than Beyond Canon.

I can actually understand and connect why Jade and Jane became the way they are in the epilogues. Jane’s encounters with trolls were awful and the mothergrub does lay thousands of eggs to deal with such a low rate of successful brooding grubs. Jade was alone on her island and in a ship for 3 years (post retcon) and needs human connection desperately. My issue was the epilogues do a very one-dimensional and extreme version of these characters and justifies this by saying “no one checked in on them or helped” over the course of a 7 year timeskip and even after the characters did a whole webcomic where the point was friendship and connection is healthy for a human to develop emotionally to maturity, are we seriously doing this theme again?!

But Jane in Beyond Canon is a villain with barely any screen time or dialogue to ramble about why she’s “doing the right thing” and Jade is stripped of any nuance to this invasive and careless brat who tries to gain sympathy by whining about how much her life sucked/still sucks

I swear, this comic will go on hiatus again by the end of 2024 (if everything goes right) or on 4/13 (if it all goes wrong)

At least Jade was justified because 1. She didn't know how Grandpa English died and only came to the shocking realization she accidentally killed him (Tavros had also intervened too during this). 2. She had to grow up alone on an ISLAND and has no social cues how to properly act. Sure she would have Internet, movies, games, and books to read. But they aren't the true basis of human connection. 3. Neither Hussie, James, or anyone in WhatPumpkin/HICU had given a reason why Bec couldn't just teleport her to meet with the others since he still had Space Powers. Some could say because it would ruin the plot and Sburb wouldn't happen that it only took the meddling of MSPA READER in Pesterquest to do it. Her situation is just as shit like Jake English. And look how the series, writers, and nu-fandom shit on Jake despite his conditions is just the same, if not WORSE because of the lusus animals trying to attack him that he had always be training to survive for his life. At this point, drop any faith you have in James Roach and Beyond Canon. Apologize. And hope that this will fail hard that James and Hussie will just let the fandom make up their own ending. Even say DO NOT GIVE James Roach any money if they do go through with the Homestuck merch and vinyl. You are better off supporting the fandom itself. Pay for commissions, buy fan merch on places like Etsy, etc. Do not give shitty people like James or Hussie any cash. Go give Toby Fox some love too. Because he is one of the few sane people left and is successful outside of Homestuck.

About this Build Poi situation

This entire situation took an extremely tragic turn. And everyone who harped about morals and justice are making memes . I don't have a high sense of morality but I honestly don't think that this is something to rejoice about. Now so many things have come to light after this whole situation. So many lives are being ruined. Poi, Build , the kids who posted slanderous comments, all their lives have been ruined. Now that Poi is the defendant in the case most people who wanted to destroy Build don't care anymore. Because now that Build has left BOC , there's 'no point in fighting for justice.' The sheer irony of this all.

Now people are coming forward and apologizing to Build for spreading fake allegations. And all who have publicly apologized until now are underage. There's even a 12 year old apologizing. These are children. But now they have obtained criminal records even before they became 18. And they are being dragged all around social media for what they have done.

Poi's plaigarism allegations against Build have been debunked and now ,it seems as if she hasn't even filed a lawsuit against him. Now she has become the Defendant of this case. The charges against her are criminal charges and if undisputed she will definitely get a criminal record. This has even gone to the Thai national media and now her reputation is also in ruins. People are making fun of her contradictory tweets and openly mocking her.

People are making fun of all these people involved. Some hate Build for his tweets,other hate Poi and those convicted children for their actions and now all of them are being dragged to hell and back.

Even though I sided with Build and disliked Poi no one truly won here.

Apo's own fans turned against him and flung racist, homophobic comments at him all because of a filter.

Regardless of what we feel about them, these are all real people who are involved.To make fun of their lives ,to joke at their expense isn't a morally superior thing to do.

What's the point in talking about 'justice', 'morals' and 'victims' if we dump the case the moment the tide turns?

I honestly had concrete beliefs too. I didn't even knowthat there was something called 'imperfect victims' until this case happened. I didn't realize that we have to give a voice to the victim ,(no matter how imperfect they are) first. That was my mistake.

Everyone who made documentations and discussions about it has abandoned it . People mocked Build for crying and now they are mocking Poi for what's happening to her. It's very clear that Poi needs medical intervention.

If Poi can be considered an imperfect victim so Build. If Build is innocent until proven guilty so is Poi.

This entire thing has become a nightmare .With more and more lives being ruined. The court of Public opinion is an extremely ruthless place and we all are a part of it.

What all these people have done might be inexcusable in someone's book but this situation should have been approached in a more humane way.

The court of Law forgives but The court of public opinion never does .The same people who stand by you will abandon you in a second.

There's one thing common in all these people involved ,they have all become social outcasts. We have pushed them out of society with no remorse.Because all of us ,from both sides decided to hate each other and drag all these people to hell.

Most of us just needed a scapegoat to hate .Now that Build seems to be the victim, Build has been replaced by Poi and the other people involved .

We all tried to force all these people to be picture perfect and when they don't fulfill it we get angry.

Build,Poi and everyone involved will have to live with this until they die. There's no escape for them.

At the end of the day everyone including me were complicit in spreading hatred and anger and dividing ourselves and expelling all these people.

I should have looked at this case in a humane manner ,but I failed to do so. We can find their actions inexcusable but they are inevitably paying for everything that they have done.

Degrading ,mocking ,rejoicing about their downfall is not the way to go in my opinion.But then again how can I talk about morality when I myself am not a good person?

This actually showed me that people truly don't care about things like justice and the victim .They will care only care if it affects them. That's the reality and human nature. They will discard the person the moment the victim becomes the defendant.

I am no better either.

The truth is a bitter pill to swallow,but I can accept it when I am wrong.

Poi,Build and the other 3 kids are a product of their society. Their experiences would have shaped them to take all those decisions that they took. They are all imperfect. They are all human.We don't care about the real issue here.

But people can't be imperfect right?

Everyone has to be perfect right?It's easy to mock them right?

It's easy to ignore these problems right?

Build's tears are crocodile tears because he's a devil and not human enough to cry, am I right?

Poi shouldn't be sympathized with because she is crazy and delusional right ?

Those children and their parents should be shamed and mocked because they committed crimes right ?

It's easy ignore their struggles and not care because they no longer matter to us right?

We only need them as scapegoats just to hate them right ?

It's fun to see them dragged to hell right?

Degrading them, Dehumanizing them , sensationalizing this whole situation,dropping them when we can no longer seem to care , Ignoring how they feel because they are wrong feels good right ?

Let's not give them a voice because they are monsters right?

Their feelings don't matter anymore because we hate them right ?

How we failed them all. It took me a long while to accept this all but this is the bitter reality .And I was complicit in it as well. So I am no better .

Initially this was made under a meme about Build's resignation but now I made my own post about it. People shouldn't make memes out of the destruction of a person's life no matter how much you hate them.

Watching the Amouranth situation is so incredibly disheartening. I never followed her before, apart from seeing her as a guest on streams, but from the little I saw of her she has always seemed like a very intelligent and kind person. Hearing her husband scream at her like that was extremely triggering, it was real and genuine. I know exactly how it feels.

“Why doesn’t she just leave? Call the police? Call a lawyer?”

It’s hard to explain how entrapped it feels to be a victim of emotional (and physical) abuse. A lot of people who haven’t been victims of abuse only see a surface level of what it’s like, when theres an iceberg of reasons under the surface as to why it’s impossible, or feels impossible to do.

So let me explain from my own personal experience as a victim of abuse.

When I would threaten to leave my abuser or kick her out, she would threaten to kill herself. She has held a knife to herself before. Or she would get in her car and drive recklessly where I could hear the sound of her speeding around. She would call me and tell me if she got into a car accident and died, it would be my fault. She wouldn’t stop until I was in tears and begging for her forgiveness and for her to come home.

She would destroy things- nice furniture, home appliances, to the point where I was terrified of leaving because I didn’t want her to destroy my things. I didn’t want to leave or runaway because I was scared she would kill my dogs while I was gone. I would go to bed at night taking mental notes of the things in my room that I could use to defend myself if she came in at night and tried to kill me. We were also scared to kick her out because we knew she was vindictive enough to harm her baby, and going to court to get custody of the baby would be a nightmare.

And other times when I tried to leave, she would stand behind our car and prevent us from leaving without potentially running her over. She would scream and hurt herself in an attempt to cause a scene in public to embarrass and traumatize us so we would never do it again. She had no sense of privacy or shame, and would use it against you if you did. The few times cops were called, they did nothing. We didn’t want her to ruin her record, because it meant she would be more vindictive. People who feel they have nothing to lose can be extremely dangerous. It was easier mentally to give in and give her what she wanted.

Through this time I told NO ONE, and even my best friends still don’t know the extent of my abuse. People who did know were judgmental because we ‘couldn’t figure our shit out.’ They would offer shallow solutions or say things like “i wouldn’t let it get that far” or “my family has discipline” or “just kick them out”. Some got conflicting information from my abuser who had a well-crafted persona, so rumors would spread and make my life a spectacle for the judgement of others. The few times I slightly hinted to my friends that things were bad, they were dismissive that it was normal to have fights with family, and I would stay quiet because I was more well-off than some of my friends, and I didn’t want to burden them or want them to judge me.

I still live with my abuser. Things get quiet for a while, bearable, livable, because you learn life is easier when you tiptoe around them instead of speaking up for yourself because that can set them off. You learn their warning signs and submit and hope one day they’ll fuck off and leave on their own or die because it’s easier than confronting them and dealing with everything that comes with it.

Now in Amouranth’s case, imagine that person also controls your bank account and social media accounts. On top of being your spouse, they’re your boss and you’re a sex worker. You’re not only giving yourself emotionally and physically to them as a partner, everything that you earn with your body is going through them as well. Someone who threatens you, degrades you, breaks your things, threatens your pets, threatens to cut you off from seeing family, threatens to take all your money, threatens to destroy your reputation and career. And throughout years and years, you’ve been conditioned to give in to him because it’s easier and safer for yourself mentally and physically than if you don’t.

All the while, you are already the victim of abuse by thousands of people online. People try to dox you and swat you, to the point police already know not to take calls about you seriously. You have stalkers completely unrelated who want to rape and kill you. People who have never met you hate you, because you are a successful woman and sex-worker. Imagine that all the evidence you give, physical proof, you are still being doubted- told it’s a stunt for publicity. Exactly something her abuser would spin to discredit her and prevent her from speaking out.

I can imagine how trapped Amouranth must feel. With the way things were cut off, I hope she is safe wherever she is, because as someone in a similar position, i’m terrified now that her husband has been exposed, he will hurt her out of vindictiveness. I know if I exposed my abuser like that, I would never see the end of it unless I moved away from my life entirely and left everyone behind.

Amouranth is incredibly fucking brave.
