i understand the "oh Steve is so bad at fights" sentiment comes from the fact Jonathan and billy rocked his shit but I do feel the need to remind everyone he is 4-0 when it comes to beating monsters in fights. played pinata with the demogorgan. beat back multiple demodogs in a very literally sense. rammed monster billy with a car. bit a demobat and then beat it into the ground after getting strangled and chewed on. he is feral. he is desperate. like at what point do we acknowledge that he holds back against people 🤨

I think it's really important to reflect on when and how you're giving advice. It's so important to ask yourself:
Am I the right person to be giving this advice? (is it appropriate for me to provide this advice?)
Is this the right time? (will they be receptive right now?)
Am I suggesting something actionable?
#this is something I'm working on#but it's like... if a stranger yells advice at you on the street you wouldn't like that#it's the same if a faceless internet stranger gives you advice that you did not solicit#especially if it's personal#and you don't want to give advice that isn't actionable!! Like pointing out a stain when someone's already at an event. Don't do it!!#anyways this feels a little like a vague post but it's just me thinking thoughts about some of the anons that Jaime gets and wanting to say#something helpful (because I think I have helpful things to say!) but doing a self-check and realizing that I am not the right person#and I would not be able to suggest it in the right way#so I should not say anything#(basically I think this is a situation where advice from friends who she talks to every day is going to be more helpful than strangers#wandering by and lobbing [well meaning] suggestions)#idk what this post is so I'm going to just hit post and wander away lol
