thinking about how Jace is Cordelia's descendant always throws my head into a loop like. what do you mean he's related to Mina through both Tessa and Jem 😭 his great great great grandma and first cousin four times removed married each other and had a kid and also adopted his 7th cousin...
Alec: Jace, you can't told my children that the solution for their problems is to cry dramatically in the shower or in the rain and then go out to kill something.
Actually need to see Clary’s reaction to Ash… I need it in my veins.
And on a more important note, I need to see Jocelyn’s reaction to Ash… cuz I know I’m going to cry. Like idk about you guys, but reading the way she spoke about Sebastian and what could have been always broke my heart (like COFA when she went to the hospital and saw that baby 💔). Like that’s her could’ve been son (and actual grandson!)
when we explore what happened in your childhood, it is not to blame your parents or have a biased judgement of them. it is to understand how events impacted you and what your experience was. so you don’t have to feel guilty about talking about it or as if you are betraying your family.
trauma can be of various types and it does not only have to be induced due to one major event. there can also be trauma from situations of acute stress over a prolonged period of time.
choosing the wrong or right people does not mean they are good or bad. it means understanding what is healthy for you and what you want. it’s not putting them into boxes, it’s simply knowing what is healthy for you.
why do you wait for a green light from others? what is your green light? why do your decisions have to be based on what others want? what do you want?
being a friendly person and being an open book does not mean that you cannot have boundaries.
you disappointing someone or them disappointing you does not have to be the end of the relationship.
some shadowhunter telling alec that it was a shame no one would inherit his blue eyes after he came out and then his and magnus’ son having blue eyes.. yep mhm thats right
"What is even the romantic appeal of Julian Blackthorn? He's toxic and possessive and-" Some of y'all have never been traumatized and it shows😭 Maybe some of us like the idea of someone who loves us so much they'd never abandon us.
Am I the only one who hopes Dru won't be a swordswoman? because as all the main female characters (except Tessa) are swordswoman, it's a bit boring in the long run
wait, you’re telling me that since will herondale believed he was cursed, then to him, the fact that all his friends were still alive meant that they didn’t love him???
he believed that if anyone loved him they would die, so if they were alive, then he just went on believing that they didn’t love him.
I think the reason why TID’s found family aspect feels so intense to me is because most of the main characters really had NOTHING else in the world. Tessa was orphaned with a missing brother, Jem was orphaned, for most of the series Will might well have been an orphan, Jessamine was an orphan, Charlotte if I recall correctly was also an orphan. The London Institute was all they had. Hits hard when you think about it.
The design for Helen in the graphic novel is absolutely gorgeous!!!
I can’t wait for the mortal instruments graphic novel series to be completed, and I hope they do end making graphic novels for some of the other series as well (a dark artifices graphic novel series would make me so happy)
SHES SOOO GORGEOUS!!! Cassandra Jean you ARE an icon!!!
