I read it a couple days ago and really liked it!! i thought it did the rivals/enemies to lovers trope pretty well (ie they actually hated each other & didn't just get over it quickly) I just wish it was longer ๐

help our opinions are so similar ๐ญ a few notes
I think about Amatis so much like the off handed mentions of her in the circle short stories.... like wheres her short story??? and yeah she absolutely deserved better ๐
I remember lark but not the baguette debate hence the half a heart. I do remember three armed ash if that counts for something ๐ญ๐ญ
people.... HATE HELEN???????? that's my best friend wdym hate her ๐
I do kinda get the James/Cordelia/Matthew love triangle vision but with Grace it was just too much & imo it would have been more interesting to do more with James/Grace and Lucie/Matthew (in a very doomed way mind you)

like logically ik why theres all these hold-ups but I feel like CC probably should have accounted for them better in the beginning idk idk
sobh was always going to be the most time consuming & difficult shipment because not only do you have to make all the overarching decisions for the whole set, you have to turn a bunch of instalments that weren't made with the intention to be made into a book.... into a book. like it must have been hellish but everyone would have known that going in ๐ญ
