*･゜ﾟ A/N: Yan!Vil is adorable, isn't? I did some general hcs for him awhile ago (link's here) though I probly gonna redo it when I have time since I wrote that when I first enter the fandom. For this headcanon I focus more on the platonic side, so I hope u like it!

*･゜ﾟ Warning: Very soft yan!Vil cuz I really love him, platonic yandere, overprotectiveness, stalking, poison and potions, implied manipulation and fluffy. Rook and Epel have a slight appearance too!

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ In a platonic relationship some things are off the table: kidnappings or punishments are unlikely to occur but not impossible. And it's true that Vil isn't as demanding of you if you're just friends, despite that he would still like to take care of you.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ He would like to do your skin care, take you to lunch or just be there for you when you need him, you are like the little sibling he wished he had so much when he was younger. He's been known to be a bit possessive of your time and overprotective of you especially if you're a few years younger than him, but Vil tries hard not to be suffocating or maybe it will push you away from him. And he couldn't stand it, your friendship is very important to him.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Even though he is jealous and will passive aggressively criticize your other friends and/or lover behind your back, none of them are worth much in his opinion. And you certainly don't believe it when they come to you to tell you that Vil is a big meanie, how could you? He is always attentive and sweet to you. Vil is strict, of course, but he wouldn't do that. And you believe him more than you believe them.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ So many friendships and relationships fall apart because you can't see that he was pulling you away from the people he didn't think was right for you. In his eyes, you deserve more. Someone who will love you unconditionally with all your flaws and strengths, someone who will treat you like a deity, but there's no one else worthy of you and even if there was, Vil wouldn't approve of them.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ He wants to be someone's hero and if you happen to like his movies Vil will be sure to take you to the set so you can see how things work behind the scenes. He likes to hear your thoughts on the character he's playing now and would like to rehearse some scenes with you, and if you were an actor/actress he'd pull some strings to get you offered a role in the same movie.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Your presence is comforting for him and the simple attention he receives from you is enough to make him calm down in moments of anguish or anger, especially if he sees magazines and news comparing him to Neige or if he has to put up with grueling hours of modeling.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ One of his favorite pastimes is teaching you about poisons, any kind of poison, and potions. He knows a lot about them and while he loves seeing your curious eyes and hearing your questions about this or that, Vil also thinks how ironic it would be if he used those same potions on you just in case he needed to, just enough to make you sick and for him to care for.

.⁠｡⁠ * ⁠ ♡ At Vil's behest, Rook is always watching your movements and protecting you from dubious influences. But he is unable to tell you that Vil's behavior is abnormal because he loves watching the two of you interact with an almost dreamy sigh, getting a free pass to walk you to your classes and help you study Rook absolutely adores your innocence and he knows why Vil tries so hard to protect you.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ You are a precious little thing and he would love to see you shaking and crying if he could hunt you down, one can always dream. Even though he knew his queen would poison him if he tried anything against you.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Sometimes Vil invites you to etiquette sessions to teach you about posture, table etiquette and the like - while it's boring, you've gotten used to it by now. And usually Epel is always present at these sessions, trying to get away from them or mumbling under his breath the whole time and you can't stop yourself but try to help him, Vil's expectations are high but you know how to meet them perfectly.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Or, distract him enough that he doesn't notice how sloppy your movements are or that you've already forgotten how to behave at an important dinner. However, he definitely notices your distraction btw, he just can't get mad at you when all he wants to do is pinch your cheeks. Epel, on the other hand, is not so lucky but at least the boy has someone to spend time with during these tedious lessons.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Like I said before, he sees you like a little sibling so of course Vil always takes you to his place during the holidays and he shows you all the coolest sights there if it's your first time in his hometown. A friendship with him is comfortable and full of affection, and Vil will make every second of your time count.

ill be honest with you anon, evermore has always been a skip for me and i can barely understand what she's trying to say with this song, much less analyze it in the context of a character BUT let's give this a shot.

in no particular order, just whichever lyrics struck me first

oh yes jean is 100% unmoored after eau. also the 'guess' can be taken as jean trying to identify emotions from the jumbled mess that the nest has him feeling post-tkm

this doesn't even need an explanation, 'My name is Jean Moreau. My place is at Evermore. I belong to the Moriyamas.' is all we need, he has completely given up hope and has accepted that he was destined to face this pain

I rewind thе tape, but all it does is pause On thе very moment all was lost

this could be interpreted as jean trying to think of his time before the nest, back at marseille. the first scene where jean tries to remember elodie, he cannot go through with it purely because his memories are tainted with his parents' abuse and him being sold to the moriyamas. so the tape pauses on the moment all was lost.

Sending signals To be double-crossed

i cannot not think of kevjean in this. jean sending signals that he would do anything for kevin, and kevin nailing their coffins by using french in front of riko (i.e., double crossing him)

Writing letters Addressed to the fire

OKAY THIS it could symbolise holding on to something, knowing it is futile since it isn't there anymore, so riko, castle evermore, hell even marseille (i say marseille because there's a lot of 'burning the house down' talk regarding jean's family)

i’ll be honest guys, Dan Wilds has never been my favorite of favorites (perhaps it has a lot to do with her name… I’d really, really rather call her Danielle… or maybe it’s the cursed image of Kristen Bell… (was that a fever dream??) perhaps it has more to do with how she treated Kevin in the end… who cares) but MY GOD what a WOMAN.

she was a STRIPPER. do you know how good of a mental she had to have to keep her cool, keep her head clear, above water? she was a TEEN. she worked so hard. but by god did she work it.

i wanna talk to her “sisters” i wanna know everything about them and how they adopted her and cared for her in the hardest of times and made her the captain that she is in TFC-TKM. i wanna take young Danielle into my arms and protect her with my life and give her everything. she’s so strong. she deserves such softness. i wanna kiss Wymack for taking her away and giving her the Foxes.

i wanna know when she cries. i wanna know her nightmares. i wanna know how it started with Matt. i wanna know if she kept some of her stage heels. i wanna if she ever misses her cousins. i wanna know who was her first kiss and was it one of her “sisters”. i wanna know which Fox she sees herself in the most.

the women of the Foxes have such a wide array of strengths and i feel like Danielle is too often overlooked in favor of Renee and Allison. she’s not just the captain. she has extreme resilience; she’s confident in her body through everything; she is a born leader, fair but head held high and hardly swayed.

i wish we had more moments on the court to show her skills, the way we had show-stopping scenes for Andrew, Matt and Kevin.

i wish Andrew respected her more, i wish he could see the Hennessey in her and at least get where she comes from, that they are not as opposite and far apart on the spectrum as he might think.

i wish Kevin consulted her more, i wish he sought more of her wisdom and advice, that he went to her more as equals relying on one another. i wish he had her back more.

i wouldn’t change the characters for anything in the world. everything is the way it is for a reason. the Foxes are Foxes for a reason, a ragtag team challenged game after game, season after season, in peril of being disbanded, both internally and outwardly. Danielle being the outstanding woman and captain that she is ain’t enough to patch up their many shortcomings. they’re just wishes. fantasies.

okay enough time has passed: theories predictions hopes dreams fears what are you expecting from TSC

so. while my mind is still processing the tsc announcement i think i am finally read to try and answer this ask djdjdjjdjd ((had to add a read more because this got longer than i intended 🧍🏼‍♀️))

nora said it’s about jean learning to live, so i assume the story will either overlap a little with the og series’ timeline or begin with jean’s start at usc (or somewhere close to that). i don’t expect a bigger time jump than that tbh. also, thinking about pov i assume it’s single narrator/main focalizer (hopefully jean!). i’d be very surprised by a multiple pov narration happening—doesn’t really feel like a nora thing to do. to me. also i assume it's gonna be a one book thing. not a series.

i do not expect the foxes to be a big part of the story beyond maybe seeing them at a banquet or championship game. i cannot even see renee being a big part of the plot tbh. ((but don’t be fooled i will eat up these glimpse for sure)) nora seemed so. hesitant? to touch tfc that i don’t assume she wants to include them much.

we have no idea how long the book is going to be, but i assume it’s not gonna be longer than tkm? so as much as i love jerejean i don’t think it’s gonna be a thing nora is going to explore with this story. not just because of things she said in the past, but also because i think it would be hard to deal with jean working through his trauma and moving on to live life and not just exist AND develop a relationship. ((same goes for the renee/jean pairing tbh)). and i am fine with that. the most important thing for me about this book will be jean and seeing him heal and adjust and get better. i don’t NEED more. if we get more that’s great too, but i have my doubts about that.

i assume we will still get a decent amount of jeremy and jean interactions because i can really see jeremy (as captain but also just as the person i assume him to be) to take on the responsibility of caring for jean and help him recover from everything he has been through with riko and tetsuji. i think not matter what happens he’ll have a big part in helping jean navigate his new environment.

and omg do i expect jean to STRUGGLE!! the trojans are THEE anti-thesis to the ravens in attitude so i see jean really being a slightly disruptive force at first. while i think he’ll adjust to the trojan way i cannot see him being like the others. he’ll always be a little different but i think it will make the trojans stronger (i can totally see jean teach them raven drills lol).

now moving on from that and more into trojans and exy territory I WANT TO SEE THE TEAM DYNAMIC SO BAD. and i am sure we will see it. i want to see the trojans be soooo patient with jean and absorb his anger and hurt and trauma and transform it into something bearable. i want for jean to HAVE FUN playing exy and not just play it because he has to. i want him to really fall in love with the sport in a way that is not affected by the fact that the moriyama still own his game.

at the same time i want to see him build a life outside of exy. i want him to de-centre exy and find hobbies that fulfill him. i want him to have genuine friends. i want him to spend time like other 20 somethings. i want him to get a taste for a normal life and mundanity. and i want him to like it. i want him to learn to sit in that feeling of just. being okay. without the fear of things going sideways at any time. i want for tenderness and not violence to become the norm.

as for stuff i’d LOVE to see. i know i just said i don’t expect to see much of the foxes, i would kill for a jean and kevin interaction that has them Talk to each other about the past and the present and maybe even the future. not sure we’ll get that but a girl can dream. i honestly don’t expect a neil and jean reunion. but who knows? ((also. maybe jean reuniting with his sister??? that would be something wouldn’t it.))

i am a little scared and a little nervous to see what tsc will be about and how jean’s story will play out, but i do trust nora to do the characters and the story and us justice. ((that doesn’t necessarily mean giving us what we want but the story as a whole being a good fit for her characters and the aftg thesis of exploring life after trauma)). i also hope she won’t mess with aftg too much. i don’t think she will. but just to have it said.

in the end the only thing i want out of tsc is jean getting to a point where he feels okay and sees a future for himself that makes him want to live rather than simply exist. i want to see him embrace his new found freedom and get hobbies and interests and friends and break out of ravens’ nest MENTALLY for good. i want him to be able to look at himself in the mirror and be okay with the person he is. and excited to become the person he’s slowly becoming. i want him to learn to live life in the sun <3

⭐I headcanon that he would think that she's like.. too stupid.. maybe dumb or too loud? Something like this..

⭐Also Dongha tends to behave like a grown-up man, even if he's still 14.

⭐He's constantly busy with studying or with piano lessons, due to the fact that he's going to inherit the Yeon's conglomerate one day.

⭐So I think he even feels the weight of responsibilities, and have no time to be as carefree as mc is

⭐So I guess he would start to "see mc in a new light", if she proves to be determined to get his friendship

⭐I definitely can picture Dongha behaving arrogantly and speaking kind of sharply to her, but then seeing her coming back, especially when his trauma strikes again and he needs to be comforted.

⭐I headcanon that he would respond harshly to mc... like:

⭐"What the hell do you want again?!... I have no time to waste with your childish dreaming and carefree actions!!"

⭐Mc would show to be kind of hurt by his words. Her long and golden hair would cover half of her face as she would shyly say sorry and then leave the room

⭐Dongha would sigh and come back to do what he was doing, but in deep he would feel sad for treating mc like that..

⭐I don't think he would say sorry to her, because mc would come back sooner to "bother" him again, and it would happen it all over again and again... and again... oof-

⭐I bet he would never get bored around mc, especially with someone as energetic and fun like a Rapunzel-like one!

⭐Being so carefree, kind of a dreamer, and sunny all the time, mc would manage to infect Dongha with her dreamy thoughts.

⭐Even if Dongha would pretend not to listen to her- holding a book and pretending he's busy reading-, he would actually carefully listen to each of her words

⭐He would get surprised and interested more as she would tell him about her own dream

⭐Mc would speak with so cute expressions, while her eyes would start sparkling at the thought of her dream

⭐"What..? Really...? That one... is her dream..??.. Isn't it.. uhm.. too simple?...", he would think to himself

⭐Dongha would come back keeping silence as mc would ask him about his own dream

⭐His grip on the book would tighten, as his green piercing eyes would follow those words without even understanding what he's reading.

⭐"It's none of your business.. now get out of here.", he would mumble.

⭐Besides all these harsh actions, though, I think Dongha would grow fond with mc.

⭐He would be so happy to see her around his mansion, to listen to her happy and optimistic voice, to get infected by her determination and dreamer-like behaviour..

⭐He'd get even more happy if mc told him that she liked or appreciated him somehow.. Dongha's green eyes would give an unusual sweet look, while his cheeks would blush:

⭐"D-Do... do you really.... Do you mean it...?.. Oh... Th-thank you.... I.. I guess you're not that bad either, after all...."

⭐Nayuta has a very dry attitude towards people around him

⭐He's not chaotic, nor energetic at all, but dry and even kind of depressed-

⭐He has no trust in people so.. you can see how different he's from a Rapunzel-like mc!

⭐I bet he'd be the one with no energy and with the only desire of sleeping- or simply bored- while mc would speak all the time, trying to get him to do something, even simply having a walk..

⭐Nayuta isn't as "aggressive" or impulsive as his twin brother, that's why I think he wouldn't insult mc

⭐He wouldn't even respond her harshly, but coldly

⭐Nayuta seems the one who prefers to think, not to talk.

⭐So he would probably think that mc is too loud or too annoying, but will never say it directly, unless he feels like he wants to.

⭐"Damn... She's annoying.. I simply want to sleep-"

⭐In general, though, i can imagine him sitting and working on new cozmez costumes, while seeing mc even singing

⭐Mc would show her curiosity to see what Nayuta is doing, for sure, as she would lean closer to see Nayuta's sketch-book full of drawings

⭐As she lean closer, her long and golden hair would cover Nayuta's eyes and face completely.

⭐That's how he would smell her scent and blush softly while asking, keeping a dry composure:

⭐"What are you doing?..."

⭐His eyes would open slightly more at the sight of mc's excitement and happiness. He would hear her saying that he's talented and that his drawings are amazing..

⭐"Oh.. so you think that..? ..Thank you.", Nayuta would answer, keeping his usual low voice.. showing to be quite apathetic

⭐Since Rapunzel is also quite an adventurous girl, I really can headcanon mc managing to bring Nayuta outside

⭐Maybe they would hang out without Kanata and get to the park?

⭐Mc would show her passion for animals, as she would start following some cats. Nayuta would easily petted some, kneeling down and looking at them with a serious but cute expression.

⭐While being there, Nayuta would hear mc talking about her dream.

⭐I headcanon that in the middle of the afternoon it would start raining and, while Nayuta would cover himself, putting his jacket at the top of his head, he would look surprised to see mc laughing and dancing under the rain

⭐Carefreely she would laugh and look at the sky, while her long and blonde hair would get adorably wet, her eyes still sparkling, even if it's raining.

⭐In a few minutes she would manage to infect Nayuta with her carefree behaviour, until he would join her.

⭐But I think mc would get a kind of scold by Kanata after coming back- Nayuta is easy to get sick (also one of his weaknesses is rain itself), so I guess he would end up getting a fever or a cold and mc would get a scold by Kanata.

⭐She would say sorry to Nayuta for being so "stupid" while looking at him.

⭐He would be lying on the futon with his cheeks blushed due to the fever. That's when mc would see a small and genuine smile on his face.

⭐"N-no.. it's.. it's okay... I- I've had fun today.. Thank you."

⭐Oh well, Anne is surely the one who'd get along well with mc the best among these three!

⭐Anne is always so supportive and so friendly!

⭐They stan each kind of personality and person!

⭐ As long as you're yourself without being ashamed of who you are, then Anne surely respects and admires you!

⭐They represent the freedom of being amazingly and perfectly imperfect, somehow!

⭐So I think they wouldn't have any kind of problem being friend with a Rapunzel-like mc!

unpopular AFTG opinion

Alr first of all: Spoiler for TKM. you have been warned.

So before I get into this, Imma preface by saying that Riko is in no way a redeemable character. He is a bad person who does awful things and he deserves to be paid back for all of it. HOWEVER, I am firmly of the opinion that he didn’t deserve to die.

We all understand that I am in no way excusing his actions, right? K great, cause I have a lot of feelings about this so buckle your seatbelts.

Riko is, at best, an asshole, and at worst, an apathetic and unholy beast. But he didn’t deserve death by any means. Especially the one he got.

During TKM, Riko’s still little more than a kid. (I don’t remember the exact age, but he’s very early twenties.) He’s Kevin’s age, and while yes, they had similar upbringings at Evermore, Kevin had a life before he entered the Ravens’ cutthroat world. Kevin was able to escape and go on to be a good (if sometimes frustrating and single-minded) person, but the difference is that Kevin knew a world outside of the Raven’s Nest. He knew what life could be and he had something to escape to.

Riko had none of that. It’s mentioned in the books that he never even met his father or brother; he was passed off to his uncle and the secondary family right after his birth, and his mother was killed. Riko’s world, from the day he came into it, was about being the best. He wanted what every kid wants, for his family to love him. And for Riko, the only chance he had was making his uncle proud. If he did enough, if he just worked a little harder, if he made a big enough name for himself, they’d have to notice him eventually.

I don’t know too much about Riko’s life in the Nest, other than his cruelty. I do know that his uncle is every bit as cruel and violent as Riko, possibly even more so. Tetsuji seems to me like a man who delights in violence. He doesn’t use it just as a tool, he revels in making people hurt and seeing others inflict pain.

For Riko, the easiest way to earn his uncle’s “affection” is by becoming just as violent, just as cruel. When he hurts his teammates, when he breaks them, he does it to earn Tetsuji’s favor, and in turn his father and brother’s.

And then finally, finally, his brother notices him. Ichirou is there, in the same room as him, talking to him. Showing him what he easily might have mistaken for affection. It’s everything he’s always wanted, it’s what he’s worked for his entire life.

And then Riko’s dead.

It was something he knew could happen his whole life, but he still didn’t expect it. He knew he had to be the best, had to be worth the money he cost, but he thought he still was. One lost game wouldn’t be the reason he died. He expected a vicious beating, sure. But death? And at his own brother’s hand, the brother who he’d done everything to make proud? It was unimaginable.

When everything was over, Riko died the same way he’d lived all his life: Scared and utterly alone. Striving for his family’s love even though he’d never be good enough to earn it.

Riko Moriyama was a product of his upbringing: a child raised to be bloodthirsty. I’m always hesitant to judge these people too harshly; when all you know is violence, you learn to survive in the dark. Evermore was established to be cruel and unfeeling, it’s residents just as cold. Riko lived in that stadium from birth ‘till death. He never had a chance.

In a shocking turn of events when I read this series, Riko’s death was the only one I cried over. It wasn’t because of the person he was, it was because of the person he could have been.

Riko was his uncle’s creation: a little boy with a bright future and big dreams turned into a beast, starved for love and ready to attack anyone and everyone to get it.

Did he deserve retribution for his actions? Yes, absolutely. Put him in prison, keep him there ‘till the day he dies if that’s what’s needed. By the time we meet him, he’s too far gone to be saved. But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t try.

Every child deserves a chance. Even Riko.

quiero iniciar con que "afraid to loose you" contestó una duda que tenía hace tiempo: como es que ellos resolvían sus conflictos TT era altamente necesario explorar este lado de ellos ya que es imposible que no tengan desacuerdos de vez en cuando, Y CUANDO VI QUE DE ESO IBA A TRATAR ME ACOMODÉ Y ME PREPARÉ PARA SUFRIR y lo disfruté mucho (conocer este lado, no verlos pasarla mal, eso me partió el alma en miles de pedazos pero ver como lo resolvieron la restauró TT) en serio le agarré mucho cariño a este par </3. Y CUANDO SE EMPEZARON A DECIR LO MUCHO QUE SE AMABAN DURANTE EL MAKEUP SEX AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA casi exploto de amor. me gustó mucho este capítulo; nunca me voy a cansar de decirte que amo como escribes.

con "the king of the forest" te confieso que solté unas risitas mientras leía el capítulo JFAKSJ me resulta muy tierno el amor que se tienen la Reina y Chris, espero que sean felices toda la eternidad y que tengan muchos cachorros sanos TT. Sin embargo, te quiero reclamar con el cliffhanger en el que lo terminaste, eh >:( si sacas otro cap te aseguro que seré de las primeras personas en leerlo.

Y CON RESPECTO A LOS DRABBLES ))=(#$#OI/$OI%&#V

AY NO, el que se trata de chris desestresándose POR FAVOR, es que no encuentro las palabras para describir lo que sentí leyéndolo. lo más cercano que podría decir es que cuando me di cuenta estaba tocando el techo de lo alto que brinqué cuando le dijo, y cito: “Babe, we’ve been through this. I’m a fucking animal, remember? All that werewolf thing? You’re not gonna crush me, sit on me, get comfy, and brace yourself, yeah?” ES QUE NO AUTORIZO QUE SEA TAN ATRACTIVO. me la pasé muy bien, 10/10.

PERO EL QUE ME HIZO HACERLE UN HOYO AL TECHO, CHOCAR CON UNA PALOMA, TOCAR LAS NUBES, SALIR DE LA TIERRA Y LLEGAR A LA LUNA Y TENERLE QUE EXPLICAR A UN ALIEN QUE TERMINÉ AHÍ PORQUE ESTABA LEYENDO EL MEJOR SMUT QUE HE LEÍDO EN MI VIDA, ES EL ÚLTIMO QUE SUBISTE: EN EL QUE CHRIS SIENTE EL OLOR DE LOS COMPAÑEROS DE PRETTY EN ELLA Y TIENE QUE HACER ALGO AL RESPECTO.

cuando terminé de leerlo pensé, "wow, esto lo que necesito como celebración de que me fue bien en mis exámenes y como regalo de cumpleaños."

tuvo un impacto tan grande en mi que no paraba de pensar en eso mientras hacía cola en el banco JFAKSDJFA espero que no hubiera alguien que leyera la mente porque sino sabría que quiero que un hombre lobo me use como depósito de sus fluidos.
