Me and my girlfriend actually talked about this! It is indeed the safety and security that fanfiction brings. In fanfiction I can live a life of this 6'10 Austrian man being obsessed and possessive of me. But in real life? If a 6'10 Austrian man approached me and acted this way? I'm changing my name, throwing away my phone, using only cash and getting a flight to the nearest least populated island known to man kind.

Why do you think Ted and Michelle only ever had one kid, especially when they were both probably years into their relationship? Given that Ted's in his mid 40s, Henry must've been born when he was around 35.
i feel like they had to work especially hard to have henry. it wasn’t something that just Happened for them. countless doctor’s appointments, and attempts, and years and years of trying, and it just not happening. so when michelle did finally fall pregnant, henry was like a little miracle. and they were both entirely content to just have him. sure, they talked about having more kids, but that was before they went through everything they did to conceive henry. and that’s not to say that ted feels like his life is missing anything, because he DOESN’T. henry’s the most important thing on the face of the planet to him. he’s more than enough. but he did always dream of having more kids, giving henry siblings, having a full house. but it just wasn’t in the cards for them.

On Loid: Acknowledging Anya's Past
*Spoilers for Spy x Family Ch. 93*
Honestly, after reading this new chapter, I felt really... tearful? No joke I thought I was going to cry. And it wasn't even for anything crazy.
It was because I think this is the first time that Loid has asked Anya anything about her past:
The fact that Endo dedicates a significant portion of the page to this panel shows that it is a really important moment - but not just because it's about Anya's past, which we are all curious about!
I think it's also important because after Loid adopted her and said to call him her father 'from now on', he has not once asked her about her life Before. As far as we know, this is the first time.
I don't even know how to explain why this makes me want to cry. It's like their little secret. Only Loid and Anya know that she is adopted, she promised to call him "Papa" from now on (as though he has always been her father), and she has never slipped. Not once. She has completely dedicated herself to her new life, while he has maintained this distance from her, not once trying to get genuinely closer.
So, him choosing to acknowledge that in private between them feels like quite a vulnerable moment for them. Or at least, a significant moment.
We can guess that, at least initially, he didn't think it was worth asking her about her past because she was just part of the mission, and that she would return to the orphanages after the mission was over. I wonder if this moment is an indication that:
Loid is becoming curious about her past, and perhaps beginning to wonder how it affects her in the present day.
He is becoming invested in Anya as a person and as a child.
Loid has good reason to be curious about her past, but he doesn't know what we know. He probably still thinks Anya is an ordinary orphan.
So onto the second point - why be invested in Anya? Why ask her about her past? Not only is it not relevant to the mission, but it goes against his instincts as a spy. What does he have to gain from asking a child about their life before him? Where is the intel in that?
And then she answers like this:
We don't even see her face.
Endo. Does not show. Her face.
What does Loid see when he asks her about her past? I want to know. And it feels so significant that Endo chose to portray her answer like this, where the majority of her reaction is hidden from us.
Even in the following panels, we only see her eyes:
Loid has his eyes narrowed (tired? suspicious? disbelieving?) while we just see Anya's eyes looking up at her father, with few other clues as to what her expression could be.
It feels like such a tense moment. And I wanted to cry.
Here's hoping that we will start to get more snippets of genuine Loid and Anya moments - and that we start to learn more about her past. (Perhaps alongside Loid?)

#mine#origami#jellyfish#that was what the hexagons were for did you guess ? :)#original model is by Beth Johnson and only the bell/umbrella is in one single sheet (hexagonal)#the tentacles are all added separately#I wanted to see if I could do it all with one sheet of paper so I used the exact same hexagon CP for the bell and simply placed it#at the center of a bigger square of paper#pretty glad of how it came out#tentacles would need some cleanup if I ever fold this again and I could workshop a frillier edge for the bell as well#still really nice this is the most elaborate modification of an existing model I've made#if you want to see the original model it's in origami aquarium by Makoto Yamaguchi p.200#it looks so cute... teensy jelly#I used elephant hide paper (my enemy) to use up this roll i've had#i thought it'd at least be nice to collapse the hexagon tessellation which it was but that's really the only nice part asdfgh#if I fold this again I'll use smth thinner so the tentacles aren't as bulky#and to hell with the cleanliness of the hexagons#honestly the paper tension works in your favor for thoses#they get tightened when you round out the umbrella instead of flattened out as I feared#so the elephant hide really isn't needed... as usual!#anyway enjoy :3
