Soulsborne co-op is such a weirdly melancholic experience sometimes
Like, sometimes you find some rando you just vibe with, or who's rocking a build that compliments yours, is fun and goofy, maybe their character's got a Character Creator Abomination face that makes you laugh, or is just really fun to play with, but like, the second they die or you accidentally jostle your ethernet cable and DC, you just never know if you'll see them again
Like, sometimes hope's restored after they die and they summon you again and then it's like "Holy shit! They liked me enough to summon me twice!" and that's even better! You found the Cool Guy and they liked you and still wanna keep playing the game with you! And you're a socially maladjusted pack animal so that floods your brain with serotonin and that's rad! The two of you struggle, fight, overcome, and eventually build up to a climactic victory fighting the boss of the area, and that's so much fun! Like a little self-contained adventure story, just the two of you
But then after that you just like
You realize you may actually literally never see this person again, this person who's been your companion on this mini-adventure, who's had your back, who you've laughed with and fought beside. Brief as they were, they were good times had between the two of you, and you have to take a second to realize that may have been the only time the two of you will ever meet, like ships passing in the night
wherever you are, random guy who summoned me at every bonfire and for every bossfight in the Ringed City like three years ago, I still think of you sometimes. I hope you're doing well

Do you think Jakurai's hair is naturally that light purple on the inner layer or he did that at some point?
I feel like it would make sense if Doppo and Hifuni dyed their highlights but I can't tell with Jakurai. He doesn't seem like a guy who would ever even think to dye his hair
i think it’s natural lol!!! he’s had his two toned hair since childhood and like you said, he doesn’t seem the type to dye it. i checked out rosasa since they also have different toned hair colours and not only does sasara have his as a kid but his father also has two tones on his head (tho you can’t tell from this shot lol)
rosho tho???? i’m having a hard time telling bc of his bowl cut in his youth lol. but rosho is a type who would dye his hair for the aesthetic so if that’s what it comes down to, personality, sensei’s is def natural lol

Fanfic/fancomic idea I just thought of while watching SpongeBob clips:
Semi-early on in Rocket and Groot knowing each-other/working together, Groot sees Rocket’s cybernetics for the first time. Maybe it’s a similar moment to when Quill first saw them in the prison scene in Vol.1, maybe it was during a particularly intense battle with a bounty and Rocket gets the back of his shirt torn up exposing his back but just yells at Groot to focus on beating the other guy etc.
Whatever the case, Groot sees Rocket’s cybernetics and, not yet fully understanding the concept of cyborgs or anything, tries asking Rocket about them later. But Rocket just keeps either trying to deflect and change the subject or just tells Groot to shut it and quit bugging him about it.
So Groot, having no context or idea of Rockets trauma and everything, starts thinking and filling in the blanks in his own way. And after putting together:
The metal things on rockets body
His habit of stealing peoples robotic prosthetics, batteries and other electronics
The fact Rocket hates taking baths and (seemingly) most liquids apart from alcohol
The fact Rocket never laughs at Groots jokes
And the fact he never shows any genuine emotion other than rage or cockiness
Groot comes to the Galaxy shattering realisation that Rocket is, in fact… A ROBOT.
Aside from the intital internal screaming he has about everything making so much more sense now, Groot does find it strange how mammalian Rocket looks. But then Groot figures, since they have previously caught robot bounties who tried (and failed) to pass themselves as organics by wearing artificial skin, Rocket’s probably doing the same thing.
And oh no, maybe that’s why he was so defensive before about those metal parts of him showing?? Maybe he’s been discriminated against for being a robot and is trying to pass himself off as an organic animal to protect himself? And/or he has a deep seeded internalised robot phobia???? And Groot trying to push him about it made it worse?!??!??
So Groot, after realising the “truth”, tries to be more supportive of rocket and him being a robot. He doesn’t directly confront Rocket or try to press him on it. Since he tried that before and fails and he’s figured out it’s a sensitive subject for rocket. But Groot does his research on robots and tries to figure out what make and model rocket is (with very few results) so he can better look after him incase he malfunctions or something, he makes sure to “borrow” extra batteries and oil canisters when ever they’re at a place with electronics because he figures that’s what he really uses for sustenance instead of all the burgers and junk food he eats in front of Groot for (what he thinks is) the sake of appearance, tries to stop him from getting wet whenever it rains or they visit a mostly water-covered planet, calls Rocket out if/whenever he makes crude comments about other robots because (internally) Groot draws the line at Rocket taking his own issues about being a robot out on his fellow robots etc etc. All because Groot doesn’t care what Rocket is and just wants his best friend to be happy and feel safe and accepted as he is. As well as for him to trust Groot enough to come out in his own time when he feels ready.
Meanwhile Rocket is just. Completely baffled by Groot acting so weird around him all the sudden and doing all this. And no idea Groot thinks he’s a robot because of his cybernetics. Eventually culminating when things escalate out of hand and Groot cutting to the chase, gently telling rocket he knows he’s a robot and that he doesn’t have to be afraid of hiding it anymore because Groot still cares about him no matter what.
…And rocket, slightly less gently, telling Groot that goD FLARKIN DAMNIT GROOT!!! IM NOT A GODDAMN ROBOT YOU STUPID MOLDY OVERGROWN PEICE OF CRAP TWIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Basically, it’s the Krab Borg episode of SpongeBob if SpongeBob tried being a supportive robot ally to Mr.Krabs instead of jumping him in his office with Squidward.

He was an Extern from the town here. And although this Robert seemed the have everything the boy wanted, he still picked on him. Pushed him around and made fun of him… Well, like the Externs have done with the Internals for generations, right.“
Jo: „And vice versa.“
Bökh: „Exactly. And vice versa.“
Bökh: „…yes. And one day, the boy’s mother got sick. She was brought here to Kirchberg into the hospital and the boy snuck away from the boarding school every day to visit her. And one day he was caught by the boarding school director. And he got grounded.“
Martina: „Couldn’t he just say what was up?“
Bökh: „No, because it was a very… cold and stern man whom he didn’t trust. And Robert in turn knew from his father, who was a doctor at the hospital, that the boy’s mother was fighting for her life there. So he offered his help."
Bökh: „And so every night he layed in the boarding school bed in place of the boy. So that he could visit his mother. And then they became really good friends. Even had a band together. They weren’t all that bad.“ (sighs)
Bökh: „I certainly don’t need to tell you who this boy was, right?"
All of the kids in unison: „You, Herr Bökh.“
Bökh: „Exactly. And why I’m telling you this story.“
Uli: „I think I understand it.“
Matze: „So we get Chips and Lemonade?“
(chuckling)
Jo: „The Externs today aren’t like that.“
Bökh: „Jo, I obviously care about two things. Firstly; rules are well and good, but not as important as humanity. Ok? And secondly I want you to trust me, that you’re not afraid to come to me. Okay?“
The kids nod.
Bökh looks at his watch.
Bökh: „Alright. I need to get a bit of work done now.“
Martina: „But what happened to Robert?“
Bökh slumps back in his seat with a heavy sigh.
Bökh: „Ach. Robert, he… I think he later studied medicine in the city. Ah, we unfortunately lost touch.“
Jo: „Why?“
Bökh: „… Well, that- That happens sometimes when you become an adult, then… suddenly, your closed loved ones are gone.“
Jo: „… What, just like that?“
Bökh nods silently.
Bökh: „… Mhm.“
Matze: „How sad… I think friends should always stick together.“
Bökh: „Yeah, exactly.“
Jo: „Can’t you prevent that somehow?“
Bökh: „Yes. We need to look out for each other. Ok?“
Bökh: „Alright. I need to get a bit of work done now. Take your lemonades with you.“

I spent like a half hour arguing with a coworker that Azula deserved a redemption like Zuko and that she's just as much a victim of abuse as her brother AND that Ursa wasn't that great of a mom to either but ESPECIALLY to Azula AND that Azula wasn't given the same opportunities or teaching Zuko was while they were growing up!!!! She literally couldn't have turned out any other way!!!

i love it is kinda ambiguous what Fjord and Jester do with their time year-round, especially Fjord, and how their time is divided bc Jester's studio is said to be inspired by Veth's camp, iirc, so like how much of the year does that take up when the camp is a couple of months. And it is unclear what Fjord is doing day-to-day.
I've been saying since the campaign ended but especially since the start of the two-shot, fully like guys, @ especially Fjord, rotate your months: handful of weeks in port, handful of weeks sailing.

We sure are in the unenviable position of seeing the English be happy if they win which will be the most insufferable thing on Earth or everyone attributing Spain's win to their manager whom I won't even deign to mention by name when in fact, it'd be in spite of his and RFEF's every attempt to undermine them.

Silv/Gio thoughts bc aaaaaaaaaa *rams my head into wall at full speed*
Gods I'm so horny for Gio/Silver but most of all I'm so entranced by the idea of Silver still allowing this to happen.
Just, Silver clinging to moments in which he can forget that he was abandoned, he can pretend that Gio never left him and always has been here for him, that nothing ever changed. There is nothing but them being close and Silver clinging to his father, desperate for every ounce of affection and care and pleasure that is offered to him.
And maybe he could pretend Gio is at least a bit regretful about abandoning him, for those long harrowing three years that changed them so much but that would mean acknowledging it at all. That's more suitable for a bitter morning after, cold air and self hatred. So Silver won't ever allow that belief, that there is any regret at all, to take root. It's easier to hate himself for being so desperate and leave the second he opens his eyes.
