ok okokk i may be pushing it but i just cant stop picturing barry circa 2012 with leaving!bucky. i just feel like theyd have the cutest dynamic ever. he gives art student vibes like maybe hes studying film or literature. theyre childhood bestfriends and maybe they were eachother's homoerotic-codependent-friendship canon event. ok so this is so funny because i've actually been thinking ab how sweet those two would be together, cute little nerdy besties, and how they'd meet because of course curt has to be in this fic!!

and the first thing my mind went to was the cliche homoerotic codependent friendship trope too LMAO. i'm feeling like maybe they meet on the first day of highschool; neither of them share their english class with any friends, and they end up sat next to each other, and john keeps side–eyeing him because curt looks... interesting. (ie: deep into his emo phase. the fringe. the smudged eyeshadow. chipped black nail polish, band shirts– all things john does not let him live down as they grow up.)

but his eyes settle on some pin on curt's jacket that has some character from his favourite movie or something, and the yap jumps out, john can't control it. blurts out a "you like ___ too?!" and curt's head snaps over and he nods nervously and john takes one look at those big sad charcoal–ringed blue puppy eyes and is like yup. this is the one. will protect with my life.

(tiny headcanon that rly won't have a big effect on plot or anything, but i feel like it just fits very well with john/his character in leaving– dude's got madddd undiagnosed adhd. he's written off as a loud mouth/troublemaker in his childhood, but he wants to be a good kid, his mind is just always going too fast and sitting still is torture and his parents get frustrated and don't look into the root of the problem, trying to discipline it out of him instead. i will heal my inner child by healing him alright)

they're attached at the hip from that moment on and it makes sense to no one because they seem like complete opposites, curt more inclined towards the arts and bookish things and his friends are all the same, whereas john is more inclined towards athletics and science and hangs around that type of crowd as well. but they both love video games and movies and music and they bond over never really feeling like they fit in anywhere particular and both groups of friends get along just fine when they all get together. <3

but yk time goes on, they learn things about themselves as they grow up, and curt and john are so close and spend so much time together that they're already a lot closer than regular friends– they just don't realize it. they think nothing of cuddling up on the couch watching movies together, or sharing a bed when john stays over at curt's place after he gets into a fight with his parents, or being much more interested in spending time together than pursuing girls.

and curt's pretty– john nearly mistakes him for a girl that first day they meet. the summer before their senior year, john practically spends the whole summer at curt's house, and curt's mom doesn't mind; she works long hours and is glad her son isn't spending the summer moping around indoors alone, and she loves john and gets the feeling that her home is a sanctuary for him. one day they're in the backyard lazing around, and they get onto the topic of first kisses, and neither of them have had a proper relationship outside of those classic week–long middleschool flings that don't actually mean anything, so there's not much to talk about.

but being dumb teenage boys, they start worrying about "what if we're really bad at kissing and no girls wanna go with us to senior prom this year" etc. and one of them pops the suggestion of practicing together, and thus begins a summer of sweet stolen kisses and hand holding and experimenting and dancing around calling it something. it ends when the summer does because they realize that they both work better as friends, but they're as close as ever and both definitely learn they aren't straight (and they probably make a cute pact– "if we aren't in love by the time we're thirty, we'll just marry each other.")

i don't see them really doing much together because they're young and shy and inexperienced, but it's enough for john to decide that yeah, he definitely likes guys too, but that's all that really amounts to (until he meets gale) because he's growing up in a small town in wisconsin and it's not the easiest/most accepting place to find other queers. john probably ends up dating a real sweet girl during his last year of highschool, but she's going away for college and john's going to a local one so it ends amicably at the end of summer, both of them staying close friends. (if we wanna get sickeningly wholesome, maybe she ends up pining for a girl while john's pining for gale and they share their little stories and give each other advice and facetime every week to catch up <3)

(++ curt ends up falling head over heels for ken, who he meets through john when curt and john's friend groups get together for movie nights or summer parties. john pretends to be annoyed at how lovesick they are when they first start crushing, but he ends up matchmaking and being the one to push them to confess their feelings after graduation because he loves his friends.)

BUT THEN, leaving this fic's 'canon' to elaborate on the throuple stuff you said! i miss curtbuckbucky too </3

in a separate universe, curt doesn't end up with ken, and as much as he loves his friendship with john and agrees that a relationship wouldn't have worked at that time in their lives, he spends that first year of college pining. when john starts talking about some guy named gale during their second year, he's a little sad, but mostly protective, because "what do you MEAN he's in his 30s??" and "he's a BIKER?"

but john eventually introduces him to gale after a few months of telling curt about him, probably once he and gale actually start seeing each other, and curt immediately gets it. and then he's in double–hell because not only is he a bit (a lot) in love with his best friend, but he's blushing every time said best friend's new bf talks to him, and they're gonna notice eventually if they haven't already and he feels so guilty.

more yearning ensues and john is dense and doesn't realize but gale picks up on it, maybe even notices john doing a bit of pining of his own that john's not fully aware of. and his heart twists because his mind goes to his own insecurities about how john should be seeing someone his own age, so he sits john down and opens up a conversation about it. john is adamant that he's very, very happy with gale, but he tells gale about his and curt's past and admits that he has always still had feelings for him, but insists that it's not something he'd ever pursue, that he values curt's friendship more.

gale throws him off by saying he wouldn't mind if john wanted to explore those feelings, and at first john gets anxious gale is calling things off with the two of them and this is his way of softening the blow, but gale reassures him that's not the case, that he's very happy with their relationship. he just encourages that if he wants to talk to curt and feel things out, he wouldn't be opposed to john and curt seeing each other as well– gale's often busy, after all, so it would be nice for john to have someone else, as long as curt's comfortable with that kind of arrangement and as long as john keeps gale in the loop.

they decide to kinda just feel it out as they go, but soon enough gale starts coming home from work every so often to find the two of them curled up on his couch together, sweet and innocent. curt's wary at first, always slightly detaching himself from john when gale's around, but gale is always friendly and doesn't change up his routine, settling on the couch at john's other side like it's not a big deal at all, wanting to show curt he's welcome there, not wanting john to feel guilty.

it's another scenario where lines just sorta start to blur over time, curt spending a lot of time over at gale's house, and gale sees the way curt looks at him, probably noticed it from the first time they met but chalked it up to nerves at the time. curt's an angel and he's grown quite fond of him, but he doesn't want to overstep, so he leaves it up to curt, thinking maybe the boy will mention it to john one day and john will in turn come to gale to talk about it.

and eventually that happens, just like gale thought it might. curt's just gone home and john's head is in his lap on the couch while they watch tv, and john asks "what do you think about curt?" and gale tells him that he's sweet and he loves how much john smiles when he's around him, the usual. "so you like him?" john pushes, and gale immediately has a feeling where this conversation is going, drags his eyes away from the tv to look down at john.

says "of course" easily, and lets john take his time forming his thoughts. john ends up telling him that he and curt were fooling around earlier while gale was at work (and god help gale for the images that puts in his head) and that he'd made some offhand comment about how curt better hurry up if he doesn't want gale to come home and catch him half naked on their couch. and john's all shy when he says "and curt, uh. y'know. that... did it for him" with a vague gesture LOL. gale never fails to find it amusing how certain things can fluster john to talk about after all they've done together.

"so, anyway. i asked him about it after, if it was a coincidence, and he was real shy about it, but he did admit after a whole lot of apologizing that he likes you." gale listens to him nervously get his words out, petting his hair encouragingly, waits for him to be done before he asks "how do you feel about that?" only to watch the flush return when john mumbles "it's hot."

this is getting sooo long i need to take away my own typing privileges, but basically that's how things would start between the three of them– john and gale agree that gale will let himself be a bit flirty with curt and see how curt takes it. obviously this goes a little too well when curt gets hot and bothered sat between john and gale during a movie night with john's hand on his knee and gale's arm resting on the couch behind him while he plays with curt's hair.

the movie is forgotten when gale's finger catches on a tangled curl and curt doesn't bite back the little whine that slips out in time and john's head snaps over and he mumbles a "fuck" when he realizes what's happened, and his lack of filter comes out to play when he turns to curt and asks "curt, can gale kiss you?" and curt turns to gale with big doll eyes and nods.

john ends up palming himself over his shorts as he watches gale coax curt into his lap, face hot and pupils blown as he gets to see both his guys make out in front of him, almost dizzy seeing curt get so shy and needy and pliant because when it's just the two of them, he and curt are both very balanced in their dynamic. they've been such close friends for so long that not much gets the other truly shy like that, and they're always quick to voice their wants and crack jokes while fooling around and all. so to see curt get so flustered in that way with gale has him lightheaded, and by the time they all collapse into gale's bed at the end of the night, john's convinced this is the best decision he's ever made.

there's a lot of pining on curt's end because for a while it's kinda just sex when it's the three of them, and he loves it but he also finds himself wanting more but feeling too scared to voice it because he feels like he's intruding. but eventually they all get their shit sorted out; curt fits into their relationship just right in a way gale and john never intended or expected, and gale falls for curt just as much as john has and curt does the same with gale.

gale's got two sweet things glued to his side now and man, do they ever give him a run for his money, and if he'd thought john had too much energy (and stamina) it's nothing compared to keeping up with both of them, but he wouldn't have it any other way. <3

throuple things won't be happening in the actual fic, but i do love the idea of exploring the dynamic the three of them might have in a spin–off of that au so this was rly fun thx :-) maybe i'll write a pwp oneshot set in that universe as an excuse to write more curtbuckbucky once the fic is done LOL we'll see!

Final thoughts: Not at all like Young Royals. Some themes overlap but what can you do when you're talking about celebrities in the social media era. I suggest giving it a watch. It's well made, fast paced, and all around an easy watch. All the conflicts in the end are just kind of forgotten and resolved but there's nothing else to get too analytical about, it's not exactly a realistic slice of life like Skam or YR.

you know. sometimes a movie can just. be a movie. and at this point i will take it.

it is hard to state at this point how much my reactions can simple be due to my... nuclear irradiated brain and steel will. the ooze is coming from inside the house. and the extreme low bar of the previous movie.

like. they remembered to put the turtles in it. this is an extremely low bar. but i digress. i think theres some visual fix ups cause theyre like. ugly in a charming way. they have too wet human eyes but. u know. its alright. they can go inside their shells now. this is always important. they goof off and have fun doing their little tricks and stuff around the city. hanging out.

the human characters are. eh. its still. midteens meg.an fox in a thing produced by m. bay but i think she got a little more to do. get to have a little more fun. one honey pot ish scene aside. my fav moments of her were just any funny reaction faces she got to make. which is probably also pretty indicative of. the situation.

the whole. stephen a.mell casey thing is. he was.... fine. hey said the words u needed him to say. rip to the writing for making him a cop that sucks. in general too pro cop of a movie! you forget the turtles routes....

villains is like. hey you actually put ur shredder in it and you had him be the japanese man the whole time. etc etc. again. serviceable. krang was also there for his 2 scenes. love to see a little brain alien do his little brain alien things. they. animated him... so wet and goopy... i mean good on. do that thing...

the real thing of it is the bebop and rocksteady who truely are just. two dudes who are bros. and ready to. hench. like deep deep deep brain fungus i have but they seemed like they had fun and good for them. and probably some of the best full character cg. they didnt just look like. well rendered potatoes you kno.

plot is just a couple of mcguffin hunts, building heists. just. fucking movie shit you know it. but they did do character work. they set up some dynamics! they seeded some feelings of alienation and inter-team tension. they did a leo raph fight... but there was an actual impetus for it! they split the team up not to have the two characters fight MORE, but to be around the brother they are NOT fighting with. what a concept... And it was a problem leo thing and. fucking everyone had him out for it. just a little. and then they arced. and did the final act all focused on how they all respect each others various strength (called out by name as strategy, instincts, logic and heart <3)

and i guess bonus points for barely having splinter in it (these movies splinter is. uncomfortable...) but when he was he was nice to his kids. wow.

at this point. I will take it 👍🏻

aaa i have some stuff!!! not super fleshed out though and super subject to change!!!

- so far my favorite design is that koi fish mermaid i drew back in july so im gonna stick with that for now.,,,

- she still doesnt have a name,...some contenders are just koi (me being uncreative), tofu, soy, (adzuki is also a cute name!! name her after beans!!!!)

- im using that same mermaid lore i used a while back for a mermaid au: the way mermaids work is they all have items they carry with them that if they give it to a human, they can turn human too (so long as its in that humans possession. they cant return to the ocean and be a mermaid until said human gives their item back)

- that being said, im not sure what her item is yet!! probably pearls she wears around her tail!! gives them to oscar when she wants to come on land and be around him!!!

- i like to think shes pretty bubbly..,..very upbeat and excited about life..,,sweet and a little bit dumbass (but they all are so she kinda fits right in)

- her and mochi have a beef. theres a huge rivalry between the witches and the mermaids. probably dates back thousands of years to some sour grapes but basically now they hate each other. its also a bit of a pride/power thing, similar to the BU bear vs shark debate. on land the witch is the top magical creature but plot them into the ocean and the mermaids can kill their asses so its a bit of a fight there

- they both talk enough shit to get on each others nerves. when mermaid gf first came around to see oscar mochi was like NO. absolutely not. put that thing back where you got it or so help me-

- and of course oscar wont disobey her, he owes her a lot. but also it makes him sad. new friend gone :(. and lime has to be like "get your ass over here mochi we have to have a TALK." and gives her a scolding about being mean to oscars mermaid gf just because shes a mermaid

- eventually mochi is like fine youre right. oscars been through enough he can have this. goes up to oscar and goes "(sighh) i wont stop you from hanging out with mermaid gf" and hes HAPPY!!

- (worth noting at that point he doesnt.....particularly care? shes cute and all but he doesnt really know her, he just feels bad about mochi sending her away when mermaid gf just wanted to befriend him)

- her and mochi never really stop fighting. but they reach the point of friendship one day. still fire off insults and stereotypical jabs but they come to understand each other eventually (i believe at one point mermaid gf even protects mochi against the other mermaids trying to kill her)

- in terms of magic, mermaids are closer to like. the rock monsters and tree spirits than the mages and witches, despite being part humanish. this is because their magical features are inherint rather than gifted by the gods or whatever

- that being said, theyre not capable of the kind of magic witches or mages can use. but they have abilities like the turning human through the item thing i mentioned, and they also have special coral they can morph into any kind of weapon/object

- bouncing off that, mermaids are masters of arms!!! theres a few fighting types in tcwg, and aside from magic fighting and hand to hand combat, theres also weaponized combat which is what the mermaids are best at !!! they all carry a piece of coral they can morph into weapons when they need!! (mermaid gf here prefers a polearm, i believe.)

- shes veeeerrrrryyyy flexible

- perfect wavy hair all the time

- mermaids have natural eyeshadow and lipstick that matches their tails. its who they are as a species. they also have very long eyelashes and it makes witches go GRRRRR cuz witches are always seen as ugly old hags

- i want her to have a koi/ocean patterned wrap skirt when on land !!!!!

- her and coco are chill with each other. coco is like yooooo wanna try peanut butter on a spoon? and shes like YESSSSSS

- her and taffy are also chill. she looks at him for a long time, seems to remember he tried to kill mochi in the past, then goes "witches are the worst, amiright?" and he kind of cringes and goes "i am not the man i used to be-"

- she never becomes a member of the guild. but i consider her to be one of the various characters that just show up sometimes like sulluvan or the merchant or corvus. definately not a constant character but she shows up occasionally!! (i believe shes also timeskip-exclusive)

so ive had this idea for an amphibia fangame for a lil while now-

(LONG post)

its based around the idea that sometime after anne got sent back to earth, she decides to sneak out one night to visit sasha and marcys bedrooms and poke through their stuff. this causes a bunch of memories to come back to anne through flashbacks while she tries to process everything thats happened and her feelings abt their friendship.

i was thinking itd be mostly a visual novel type thing. maybe with a few small choices, but the story would be mostly linear. thered be around 3 main story beats: a prologue bit w/ anne sneaking out of her house, marcys bedroom, and sashas bedroom. also one of the main mechanics would be looking at one of their bedrooms and clicking on random objects of importance and triggering a flashback sequence.

it came from the idea that anne will probably try to just shove all her emotions down and try to ignore her feelings abt true colors and everything that went down then. especially with what we saw in the sneak peek, anne will probably try to hide her emotions and bottle them up, which is obviously not healthy. so eventually shes gonna have to work through her emptional baggage and try to process everything.

i havent thought through EVERYTHING just yet, just some more major plot points and maybe one or two ideas for flashbacks. nothing too solid yet. but heres a bit more detailed runthrough of the plot

summary - prologue

so it would start off with anne at home. she and her mom are talking outside annes room. her moms concerned abt how annes been handling everything that happened in amphibia but anne keeps brushing everything off. her mom tries to get her to open up, but she keeps dismissing her and eventually shuts herself in her room. after taking a bit to cool off and think anne decides that shes gonna take the night to just ride off her emotions and stop repressing them for once. she also makes an impulsive decision to sneak out and check out marcy and sashas rooms.

anne goes to gather her stuff in her room, and just as shes about to climb out the window, sprig walks in to check on her. hes still rly concerned abt his big sis but he knows he cant stop her. he tries to go with anne, but she tells him she needs to do this on her own. so, sprig lets her go and tries to cover for her while shes gone.

so at this point i’ll probably give the player the choice of whose house to visit first. it doesnt rly impact the story or whatever, but i guess it might have a small emotional impact depending on whose house u choose to go to first??

(quick note: after this bit, there arent too many specific details for the plot and stuff like that. its largely just an overall idea of how the plot is gonna go. and even then, there isnt much to it. i didnt think that far ahead yet, which is why there isnt as much refinement yet. so far i just have general ideas for how annes gonna get to the bedrooms, with a couple of vague flashback ideas. just keep that in mind; this whole thing is still being thought over and planned as im typing this out)

summary - sasha

with sasha, annes still rly conflicted abt how she feels abt her. of course shes still rly hurt by being backstabbed by her twice and swordfighting her as many times. but as much as she hates sasha she cant bring herself to fully give up on sash. she hates her guts but deep down shes still willing to give sash another chance.

there may or may not be a small sequence where anne has to sneak into sashas house, but eventually she works her way into sashas room. im not entirely sure abt the details of sashas house n her family yet. im probably gonna wait for info from s3 until i solidify anything, but for now i do know that sashas family has a big house n theyre probably rich.

so anne goes into sashas room and its been left pretty much untouched ever since annes birthday, save for the few times someone came in to dust things off. again, dont rly have all the details for sashas room, but it kind of has a vibe of controlled chaos, with organized clutter and a bit of a touch of a rebellious teen girl. one detail i do want to have is a calendar opened up to the month the trio disappeared, with annes birthday circled and highlighted so much that its impossible to miss.

the calendar itself might include a flashback. im thinking of also having a varsity jacket and some old stuffed animal be different “artifacts” that trigger their own memories. there’ll be a bunch more, but those are the only ideas i have so far fjsbndnd

summary - marcy

ok so i want to be rly mean about marcys segment: this is going off the theory that marcys parents moved away while the trio was in amphibia.

anne doesnt know this yet tho, so shes in for quite a surprise when she turns onto marcys street to find a realtor sign on the front lawn. the clues are all there: an empty driveway, sign on the lawn, an overall empty vibe coming from the house. but it doesnt completely register at first. its not til anne actually comes up close does she notice the sign.

anne tries to deny it, and decides to prove to herself that “no marcys parents wouldnt do this. theyre not that cruel. im just gonna check marcys room myself.” the front doors locked, so she just goes over to marcys window and climbs in.

but its completely empty.

ok not totally empty, but a lot of marcys furniture and stuff is gone, except for a few stray toys and other “junk.” the home guys (idk what theyre called????) are still kind of in the process of cleaning everything out, so theres still some stuff left here and there around the house. but its still way too empty. and its yet another gut punch for anne.

anne searches the rest of the house a bit more, hoping that shes just hallucinating. but no, marcys parents are really gone. she tried to deny it before, but now she has more of an idea of how shitty the wu parents are. so anne decides to just mope around in marcys old room, checking out the stuff their parents left behind.

maybe she finds an old blanket marcy liked when he was rly young. or an old rubiks cube from marcys vast collection. a cnc figurine, some cards, a pride flag, and old diary? a couple of other old toys, an old report card or two, or maybe even some stray clothes. whatever anne finds, its all thats left of marcy, at least in LA.

it really doesnt leave anne in that much of a better emotional position. she already felt conflicted enough about what happened in true colors and what she found out abt marcy. but seeing even a small glimpse of what marcy was dealing with, it just makes her more confused. marcy was such a sweet kid! theres no way they couldve done anything wrong. yet here anne was, betrayed by both of her childhood friends.

only now is anne really taking the time to process the fact that marcy essentially kidnapped her and sasha with the calamity box. he didnt mean to do it, and theres no way they couldve known the box would actually work, but it doesnt completely excuse marcy. his actions still hurt anne and sash, and while they meant the best of intentions, it didnt rly come through that way.

and now marcy was dead. stabbed in the back by the newt king.

and now annes curled up in an empty bedroom, wrapped up in one of marcys old blankets, trying to wrap her head around her feelings about marcy while reminiscing in the past.

summary - extras/epilogue??

i kind of like the idea that anne ends up drifting off in which ever bedroom ended up being the second one she visited. she slowly comes back to consciousness, with her surroundings feeling somewhat familiar, only to wake up in horror bc “OH SHIT I FORGOT TO GO BACK HOME” im not completely sold on the idea tho bc it feels a bit abrupt and like too much of a tone shift?? idk it doesnt feel exactly right

but anyways, im also playing around with the idea of a small epilogue scene with the calamity trio hanging out in annes room, a good amount of time after amphibia ended. dont know what theyre doing in there, but theyre just chilling and feeling a bit nostalgic i guess.

but uh yeah thats pretty much what ive got for the overall idea. it doesnt feel too out of reach, but somethjng like this would definitely be ambitious. i could mayyyybe handle writing out the vn and drawing the character sprites, but i have no idea how to code a vn or draw detailed backgrounds, both of which would be pretty important to this fangame fjsndj. so i might consider having help with this.

THIS ISNT ANY SORT OF PROMISE OR WHATEVER. id rly love to follow through and make this fangame a thing, but im not making any guarantees. i have no idea if i’ll actually follow through, but i would definitely love to.

who knows. maybe in like a couple years this might actually become a thing. but for now i have no idea

- could be on the verge of discovering a new genetic mutation (idk) while also being on the verge of passing out due to dehydration

- theyll come out for dinner and be like "yknow ive been having this weird headache all day"

- "probably because you havent drank any water today"

- will stare at you like "🤨" before replying "nah i dont think so 😹"

- you have to threaten letting them starve to get them to drink some water. and as soon as they do theyre chugging three cups

- five minutes later theyre like "babe ! it worked ! youre awesome"

- lots of pet names like babe/baby, my love, my darling (in a dramatic english accent), honey, and any others that youd prefer

- has a weird love for the cartoon archer (yknow that adult show with like 10 seaons ??)

- will literally no nothing about the plot or characters, and will only put the show on for background noise while theyre doing something, but will ALWAYS recommend archer to others and say its their favourite cartoon if asked

- also loves the amazing world of gumball (you got them into it) actually watches the show and loves it, yet never thinks of it when asked "what shows should i watch ?" or "what are some shows you like ?"

One day he straight up takes your hand and doesn't let you go.

"S-Solomon."

You try to pull your hand away, but he just looks you dead in the eye.

Then he kisses you deeply.

"You know that I love you right? All of you. Don't worry about your hands, but if it really bothers you I won't force you to hold my hand.", he says before letting go of you.

Simeon

This man sees nothing negative about you.

You're perfect in his eyes.

Everything you don't like about yourself is pure beauty for him.

You know that you can tell him everything, but something about your hands makes you hesitant.

What if that's the thing he doesn't like?

Simeon sees that something is bothering you and asks you about it.

His warm smile makes all your bad thoughts disappear.

So you tell him.

YES i always start with gina, and what about it??? i would die for her. anyway im CRYING over how she thought her mom forgot about her like? youve been gone for like 2 months, literally what parent would stop caring that quick? she doesnt think she deserves love like literally most of the time and my heart is ACHING

i came into this episode knowing the chocolates would be a bait and switch bc the preview 100% wanted us to think it was ricky. and yet i still caught myself believing he did it for a second there. i was looking forward to some good rina content this episode and i cant believe i let myself get bamboozled. like the conversation was nice but completely one-sided, and he ignored her to call nini; i get that hes literally in a relationship but im not a huge fan of how he just stopped giving a shit about gina once it wasnt romantic anymore? like,, they couldnt even stay friends?

generally my thing about rina isnt that i think its some big spectacular ship, but moreso that i always go for ships that make my favorite character the happiest. so most of my rina shipping comes from seeing how ricky was the first person that gina was so happy and open with, and how she trusts him even though she trusts literally no one ever and she just self-discloses around him unprompted. the infatuation and crush part on gina’s side is the part i like. but ricky? annoying n flaky as shit

random offshoot but i wouldve loved to see the chocolates come from ej. it wouldnt have made sense just based on the episode we were given, but what if gina and ricky had had that conversation in the hallway and ej overheard them and wanted to do something nice for her since he didnt have a gf to buy stuff for this year? could you IMAGINE? i know im gonna be complaining about how theyre throwing ej away all season but like seriously @ writers we get it youre getting rid of ej in s3. no need to cut him almost completely out of the show in s2. please someone give my man some PLOT im dying

ashlyn telling gina “i wish i could give you a valentine” is simultaneously gay and reeking of straight people nonsense. you can give your friends gifts on valentines day??? i didnt receive a romantic valentines gift until i was 17 years old but i still got stuff from friends every year? umm

speaking of ashlyn i get the track that theyre trying to go on by making it seem groundbreaking that a disney princess role went to someone whos not a size 2 but like. shes still a white woman and im tired. plus theyre dancing around it anyway. if you wanna give her body image issues then just fucking commit. half assing that conversation helps no one.

redlyn was very cute this episode. im still annoyed that theyre getting so much time and focus this season but like. i am a big red stan. the song in the credits was cute too

speaking of, tell me why they literally crammed all the songs at the end of this episode??? i was honestly thinking they wouldnt have any songs this week, thats how long it took

kourtneys beauty and the beast was pretty. also i know theyre gonna make howie her love interest bc clearly if a boy and girl on tv interact for more than 2 seconds it has to turn romantic. im pre-annoyed.

the ricky/nini plot didnt make a ton of sense bc... why didnt ricky just... hang out with her in the waiting room at the hospital? i am very confused as to why they had to make it so angsty and tropey like. youre literally in the same city and theres an easy solution here

im wondering if theyre gonna try to make miss jenn and mr mazzara a thing? im on the fence about how i feel about that tho. but i am annoyed that they didnt show miss jenns conversation with rickys dad at all

theyre making carlos so annoying this season, like idk whats going on or why they thought they needed to phone it in with his characterization this time around but like. what even was this seblos plot?

kourtney and seb conversations are always cute so i loved the piano scene

back to kourtney for a sec: why would big reds parents hire her as manager? why are they picking inexperienced teenagers for leadership roles? if nothing else, if howie has been around forever, why wouldnt they just promote him to manager??? instead of someone who has no idea how their pizza shop works like. i get that theyre trying to #girlboss kourtney this season, but was getting a job not enough growth and independence?

overall my biggest Gripe™ with this episode is that there wasnt enough gina or ej. and i get that its a big cast and not everyone can be the focus every time but literally when did redlyn become such a big priority to the writers? why are they getting so much screentime? i dont hate them or anything but like, i thought the main main characters were supposed to be nini, ricky, gina, and ej. so why is one of them getting like,, two lines per episode? im really out here picking up little ej crumbs like they wasted SO much potential with him as a character

My dear I have idea. So.

The team is on a case (+garcia because I say so) and it snows really bad so theyre all stuck at least another night and the only hotel around has only 1 family room available. So all 7 of them are sharing one family room and its all very family fluff. Maybe some gay with hotch/rossi, morgan/garcia, a little jemily.... its all I need in life

Not my usual stuff but I did a lot of school work today and I’m sitting here eating Frozen-themed graham cracker snacks and drinking water so I figured “eh, what the hell?” here we are:

The news had hit Hotch and JJ the hardest. Stuck here, in the snow, for another miserable night when they could be heading home to their kids. It’s not hard to imagine how they’d be upset and nothing is managing to stifle that disappointment.

“I don’t want to stay another night,” JJ mumbles, going where she’s pulled. She caves into Emily, sighing, and trying to do her best to suppress the sob that wants to tear through her mouth. Henry’s sick and they’ve just worked seventy-two hours solving the case of little boys left naked in the woods. She’s seen awful things and she just needs to hold her baby. To remind herself of humanity… the good parts.

Hotch remains passively silent where he stands looking out the sliding glass door. He doesn’t even turn around when the boy’s coming barging in.

The sudden intrusion causes a shiver of the cold wind from outside gushing in. It’s well-worth the goodies they come baring.

“I was starting to get worried,” Garcia says, uncurling her legs from underneath her. She stands and greets Morgan with a hug.

Who, in turn, wraps his unzipped coat around her, pulling her between the fabric and his warm chest. “You worry too much,” he mumbles kissing the top of her head. “We just got a little caught up. Dave needed to make an extra stop.”

Dave raises his head when he hears the mention of his name but shrugs it off. The second stop was mandatory. He’s seen Hotch slowly wilting throughout this case and giving the temperature outside and the coffee they’ve consumed… He figured it would help to soothe some nerves to stop for some ABC store bourbon and tea. The bourbon is for the restless night they have ahead and the tea is to stave off the colds they’ll likely end up with.

“JJ,” Dave calls, smiling sympathetically when he turns and Emily’s brushing tears away from JJ’s face. “I’m sorry we’re stuck here,” he starts, wrapping her up in his arms. “I really am.” He holds her for a good moment before pressing a kiss to her hair. “Do either of you have a heating pad?”

Emily nods first, placing why he’d want it before JJ. “Yeah, I can get it warmed up.” She takes JJ by the hand and directs her to one of the two beds they have to work with tonight. How seven adults are going to make that work is yet to be discovered but… they’ll figure it out. They always do.

“Pretty boy,” Morgan calls, motioning the younger man to him. “Chicken nuggets for the baby,” he jokes, handing Reid his chicken nuggets.

Reid fails to hide the crimson creeping up his cheeks at the taunt but he’s starving so he lets it go.

“Aaron--”

Hotch cringes and pulls away from Dave’s hand brushing lightly across his knuckles. He pulls it to his chest like it stings, “I-I’m not hungry.” He raises his eyes to Dave’s and any fight he might have conjured up melts. “Please,” he whispers, eyes tracking the others in the room.

Dave steadies him with a hand cupped to his cheek, shushing him. “Forget them,” Dave says, with a shake of his head. “Tell me what’s wrong.”

Hotch clears his throat, swallowing thickly around the trepidation building solidly there. “I…” he ducks his head. “My ear is… I’m just not very hungry and--” Hotch frowns as Dave nods, handing him a mug. It smells like peppermint. Tea, he figures out a moment later. Dave’s made him tea.

Dave affectionately brushes a thumb across his cheek. “Drink the tea,” he says softly. “Warm up a little and when you’re ready Emily’s got the heating pad for that ear. Okay?”

Hotch nods. He nervously shifts a little, eyes darting back to the team who could be watching. “Will you…”

There’s a fearful glaze of vulnerability in his eyes that breaks Dave’s heart. It makes it impossible for him to say no. Dave reaches down and squeezes his hand, “of course.”

The beds ended up not being that big of a deal. It’s the TV that nearly causes Hell to crack open from the cheap, stained carpet and swallow them whole.

Reid lays tangled along the bottom of Hotch and Rossi’s bed. He’s a bit of a blanket hog but he curls his long body into a ball and is out within minutes. He’s awake enough to side with Hotch and JJ when they vote for Alien over Cowboys and Aliens.

Dave’s drinking bourbon from the bottle too distracted to really care. And why would he? He’s got Hotch laying curled into one of his sides. A heating pad pressed to his chest where Hotch is laying with it pressed to his ear and he’s watching as Hotch slowly succumbs to his tea and the relief from the pain in his ear.

On the other side of the bed, Garcia’s talking Morgan through the heavy plot points of Alien (because Garcia had sided with Hotch and Reid). Her head is on his chest and Morgan’s rubbing a hand up and down her back. His eyes are closed and his head tilted back but he’s hanging on. Just hardly.

Emily and JJ are out cold. Getting the blonde to finally settle down was no small act but she’s a sucker for having her hair played with. So after about five minutes of softly brushing her hands through JJ’s hair, she was out like a light. Now, her lidded eyes are fighting to stay open. She scowls over at Hotch. She still feels betrayed that he sided with Reid and not her. Dick.

They fall asleep to the horrified screams of astronauts-- not a single one makes it through the whole movie.

It's a fairwell/chenry high school au loosely based on west side story since I was watching it earlier today

Charlotte sighed with relief when she finished with the last bit of homework. She cannot believe they weren't allowing her to leave her room, even going so far as to stand outside her door and at the bottom of her window. The brunette wondered if that was how every princess felt before they were rescued, trapped and alone, waiting for someone who sees them beyond their beauty and status.

'If only he would come.' She thought sadly. There was a knock at the door, no doubt it was Tatiana coming to talk about how much she hates the preppy sophomore, Will. "Come in." Charlotte said, barely loud enough to be heard. A pretty brunette girl came through the door instead of the demon in the shape of a 14 year old girl. 'Tessa?' She thought, 'why is she here?'

"Hello, Charlotte." Tessa said with a smile. "I was just talking with your guardian, Benedict, right? I told him about our project for science." A message from Henry. Oh he did come save her after all!

"I had completely forgotten, I'm grounded right now so I don't think I can go.."

"Nonsense," Benedict's first born, Gideon, said stepping into the room. "Father says as long as Gabe and I accompany you, you can go. There better not be any boys working on this project."

"Of course not, Gideon. No boys."

Gideon smiled and winked, "let's go then." 'Does he know? Is he helping me-' "Get all your stuff for the project." 'He does know! He's helping me escape!' She realized.

Charlotte packed up the small amount of stuff she had with her quickly. Tessa told Benedict that since it was Friday they were going to stay up late for the project, and then stay the night at Tessa's house, he asked if any of us minded Gideon and Gabriel staying the night as well, just to 'keep an eye on their 'sister''. Tessa said that they could sleep in the guest bedroom, and that she would feel safe having two tough guys in the house since her parents are in New York for a business trip.

Charlotte almost started crying when they got in the car and headed towards Henry's. Gideon and Gabriel were also leaving, Gideon turned 18 a few months after Charlotte and had been subtly making himself Gabriel's proper guardian. Henry had pulled them aside and told them his plan, that he loved Charlotte and wanted her to be safe from Benedict's control, Gideon could tell he was telling the truth and offered a deal, he'll get her away for good but he has to let him and his brother stay with them at Henry's weirdly large apartment.

She rushed out of the car and up the stairs to Henry's apartment, knocking rapidly in excitement. He answered the door and almost fell down by the force of Charlotte's hug, he squeezed her tightly, mumbling about how much he loved and missed her. If she wasn't crying before she definitely was now, she pulled away to look at him, he was her favorite sight.

Henry felt his legs shake, going numb again. "Lottie, help me to the couch please."

"Of course, my love." It was a running joke that she would carry him like a bride wherever he needed to go, which ever led to him breaking down and apologizing about not being strong enough to make her feel like the queen she is, Charlotte kissed him to shut him up because she thought it was utter nonsense.

She picked him up with not too much difficulty and laid him down on his favorite couch, the bouncy one with very ugly colors and patterns on it. He pulled her on top of him and kissed the top of her head, the brunette rolled her eyes playfully and grabbed the blanket that was hanging over the side of the couch.

She tried her best to put it over them but eventually Henry just had to do it since he was at a better angle than her. She heard Gideon and Gabriel come in, and Henry telling them to put their stuff in the two bedrooms that shared a bathroom and 'Lottie's' stuff in his. The brothers said goodnight before going into their rooms, Henry turned on one of those old movies that he liked, she could feel herself falling asleep, finally safe in her genius' arms.

"Can't wait to marry you.." She mumbled too tired to have control of her words.

Henry didn't even stiffen at the thought of marrying her, instead he smiled and kissed her forehead. "Tomorrow, that way he can't take you away again."

Charlotte couldn't believe this was her life now. Henry's parents and his friends' parents were involved in the candy and food business, and Benedict, who had adopted Charlotte when her parents died, was a food critic and kept trying to shut them all down. There wasn't anything wrong with the food, he just didn't like them. She remembers meeting Henry for the first time, at his moms' diner downtown. That was her mom's favorite place, she went there every year on the anniversary of their deaths.

Henry had just started working there, though his parents were worried seeing as the physical therapy was helping his legs much. Charlotte thought he was beautiful in his little apron. She got the same thing everytime she went, and she started going back more often just to see him, so he remembered her order.

Everytime she came in, he was quick to start her order before she's even seated. He wanted her to know that he remembered her. They got closer and closer during their visits at the diner. She once stayed from noon to almost one in the morning to help him with his shift because his legs weren't cooperating very well that day.

Charlotte wasn't expecting to see him at her new school when Benedict moved them so he'd be closer to work. They had every class together and got even closer, even going as far as adopting the new group of freshmen coming in with Gabriel when they were juniors. That's when things went south.

Henry's legs were getting worse, confining him to a wheelchair for most of the day, not to mention Benedict found out about them. He moved all her classes and grounded her and forbid her from seeing him, he used some not so nice language when describing Henry's condition and the fact that he has two moms. Charlotte was devastated, how could he do this to her after she had everything he ever asked with zero complaints or hesitation! But even during the torture that senoir had started out with, they still saw each other, she still went to the diner with Gabe and Gideon, and she still helped push his wheelchair around regardless if she would be late for class.

But he was her genius, he found a way for them to be together, and without resorting to violence or running away illegally to where Benedict could just get her back easily. Henry was her person, her happy ever after. And even though she didn't like the way fairy tales portray women, he always made her feel like Belle, beautiful and smart, kind and nurturing. Charlotte couldn't care less about their troubles, she was just glad they were getting their happy ending.

I WAS SAVING THIS FOR WHEN I FINALLY HAD TIME TO READ IT CORRECTLY AND IT WAS BETTER THAN I EVER COULD HAVE IMAGINED

hey besties, ya girl jamie here with a quick plot call for the current event. this one is gonna be long as usual so i’ll detail what all four of my idiots are doing below the cut! there should be a good variety of things so there should be smth to work with for everyone. ofc i’m more than open to any ideas that anyone else has. if u wanna plot just like this post or hmu in the ims/on d*sc*rd: yujeong hand in marriage pls#5703 .

jaewon:

he’s staying in bungalow c and yeah... not gonna lie he’ll probably spend a bunch of time there whenever he’s not expected somewhere, not like jaewon ever goes anywhere he doesn’t have to be

june 10: he’s teaching a songwriting class at the local community center so like anyone that is present hit him up (this was a terrible idea btw, jaewon’s english is abysmal and he’ll suffer but whtvr)

june 11: he’ll probably check out the foodtruck festival, nothing too crazy

june 11: he’s performing at the pop-up concert (performing jasmine, fiancé, run away and lost in a crowd) i’d love to do something with other performers

june 11: he’ll probably forego the pool party, jaewon isn’t too big on parties (or getting drunk in front of other idols, rip the halloween party) and he’s trying to micro-manage unity less so he’s not likely to attend (tho he might be swayed if anyone really wants him there)

june 12 & 13: both concert days he mainly focuses on the concert. he’s kinda annoyed about having to perform jopping, also a lil hmh about unity not performing kick it but it shouldn’t make him more disgruntled than usually? tho he’ll still be a bit annoyed

yuanjun:

he’s staying in villa b and rip to everyone there because he Will be a menace about it. he’s not looking for a roommate tho cuz he and jaeyeol are gonne wreck havoc together, rip everyone there

that being said he’s probably also frequently over at villa e for the sole purpose of annoying his boyfriend so catch him around there too

june 9: he’s doing a fan makeover and he’s absolutely over the moon about it, we all know yuanjun loves fashion and make-up things

june 10: also participating in the dance class, go off nation’s main dancer (im kidding ofc) but yeah he will be in his element and eager to have fun w the other ppl present

june 11: at the foodtruck festival, someone pls make the mistake of offering to buy him food and watch him work through an absolute impossible amount of food

june 11: he will be watching the softball game and rooting for the blue team (and oggling his boyfriend in the process) anyone willing to come hang out with him is more than welcome!!

june 11: also DEFINITELY going to the private pool party and honestly, i rlly want to have yuanjun going stupid crazy, he only needs like three drinks to get fucked up anyway so this is gonna be fun. come cause chaos w him, or attempt to reel him in, either one goes

june 12: he’ll def be hungover the next morning, offer him some helpful advice maybe?

june 12: luckily he has the rest of the day off and he’ll be back on his cheery bullshit by the time concert rehearsals and the concert rolls around (this applies to june 13 as well, he’s just glad to be here man)

staying at bungalow d, as im writing this still all by herself but i’m sure that will change soon enough anyway!

june 9: taking a floral dessign and arrangment class cuz she’s a wholesome lil hag, i love her for that

june 10: has a lot of free time on her hands, probably spends a lot of it calmly hanging around her bungalow, maybe writing some songs, but also just spending time with friends who prefer a calmer day in as well

june 11: most definitely attends the food truck festival, will buy people meals

june 11: also will probably attend the softball game to be a supportive friend, not rooting for any team in particular, theyre all winners!!!

june 11: most definitely will forego the pool party, the sole exception of her coming near that place is to pick up drunk friends if they text her they need help to get back to their accomodation

june 12 & 13: eager for the concerts like you’d expect from minah, truly just happy to be here, even if she wished they’d get to perform some bigger, older hits, even if just one (genie > news)

june 13: also partaking in the busking event, i’m super excited for this one, down for any sort of little collabs and duets so any muns partaking pls do hmu!!!

villa a ladies this is gonna be funnnn!! for yena at least, she’s just here to be drunk and look hot at the poolside. she does however still need a roommate tho, just saying

june 9: participating in the fashion show cuz shes a model who models!!! god this pretty bitch rlly will be in her element just walking around looking EXPENSIVE

june 9: probably goes to the open mic night to ‘support the other idols’ aka drink cocktails, she can multi task okay

not necessarily q4, just the current and vague future! plots are sprinkled throughout so feel free to like or hit me up if you wanna plot smth from here out, or if you have your own ideas! i particularly could use more threads on my non-jhwas, tho i’m down for more jhwa content too

jeonghwa

in terms of career, she just finished quick promos for ycswu, which was basically like a glorified portal

she also just signed with louis vuitton, and that’ll be made public soon

in about a month she’ll film for the first episode of her youtube variety show, show!terview, based on jessi’s of the same name. it’s an infrequent release schedule so it’ll run for a long time, but i hope it can be something she’ll keep on a season schedule in the future so mayb a minor plot if anyone sees some eps n is like sign me up for s2!

w/ uv, they’re performing for their first ever seoul concerts

and she’s part of the base christmas album. i have one thread open for the christmas tree decoration if anyone would like to take that up! her input is likely to be pretty chaotic, so someone who could match her energy, or perhaps be thrown out of balance by it sounds fun 2 me

looking forward, a lot of jeonghwa’s claims center around upkeeping the it girl image, so she’ll be a little bit in almost every category. little bit of variety, music, lot of modeling, acting (i think i might shoot for love playlist s2 to air in feb)

and i won’t tie myself to too much atm but just think,, hot jhwa summer 2022. nice

personally, jhwa is pretty grateful for the christmas album because without it, december would have been a pretty empty month. she’s been trying to avoid thinking about her ex too much or having too much extra time on her hands, because she’ll inevitably end up in the same circles as him, and with her friend and him having broken up, there’s less holding her back than there used to be

so when she does have free time, she’s looking to fill almost all of it. anyone who has schedules with jeonghwa around this time is likely to have her suggesting they do something together after the schedule ends. friends are likely to have her calling up more than usual to hang. and because idol friends tend to be so busy, she’ll also take the opportunity to actively seek out new friends

while this can all be settings for simple and positive threads, it could also lead to neutral to negative ones too. someone she tries to befriend that really isn’t into her effort, or they just don’t vibe at all. or a friend who is a little sick of her asking to hang out, or burnt out on how many times they’ve hung out

flings could also be a thing here, likely not with the intention of being serious on jeonghwa’s side, though she’s bad at giving the signals of not serious so that could be a point of contention too. maybe she can best friend’s brother someone (or sister i’m just making a Reference i think we all Reference)

andy

for their career, andy has a portal coming out v soon. the significance of it in andy’s life is less important than what it offers me as a mun, but the tldr for andy is that while they like it, theyre still a bit peeved that gs vanilla’d the track a lot

a good way to get on andy’s good side with that claim tho, if anyone mentions to andy that they like the punk influence, they’d get like +10 points from them. could work the other way around, if someone wanted more pop

they’re also filming for vincenzo right now! this is a much bigger accomplishment for them personally as its their first on screen acting role. they’re taking it very seriously. andy kind of feels like they need to give a lot in order to be given the things they want. being an idol is a lot of transactions to them, so they’ve really groveled to get to this point, but feel like it was worth it. the titular character i hc as being played by an actor that andy recently became closer to, and the characters of vincenzo and hanseo are very brotherly, so it’s a cute connection methinks

in general acting friends would be great! acting rivals too. if anyone is planning on claiming a drama where there’s a cameo for andy’s age range, i’m totally down to hopping on that for plot purposes

looking forward, i Currently don’t plan to have andy on another major acting job on screen until at least the end of next year. however, i would like them to do another musical or two, and maybe the aforementioned cameos

andy will also have a lot of variety, hopefully! single episode appearances could be good meeting places for threads if anyone wants to do those

andy’s personal life is alright? i think? there’s fam issues but i don’t really write abt that on dash so much. hwan breaks up w andy less than hwa bc there’s less fear of being publicly revealed n cloud is more established than andromeda so i Think they’re ‘on’ rn

they have a certain quota for how many soft types they keep around, because their usual type of person is those similar to them in some way. soft relationships can be in their own category, usually when the connection is strong it functions like a sibling r/s. they also are a lesbian friend collector, if that applies to anyone lol

but yeah a couple of strong positive connections would be really good? andy has a lot of negative connections and while it’s maybe realistic, positive things are good too, since most negative connections have less room for threading

sung’s career is,, smaller things atm?

i’ve put more focus in on him being a Producer. since creative claims aren’t tied to position anymore, i’m able to write my own story freeform of what i want from that. i wrote out a lot of that in a hc but the tldr is i’m working sung up to hopefully taking full credits on songs, and title tracks as well

any muses who write often, if they might vibe with sung we could make them work friends? people who connect over writing music (could apply to choreography too) or on the flip side, any muses who want help writing, sung has a pretty extensive komca list by now n loves helping ppl and talking music. i also have a general Goal for sung to write a whole album for someone. it’s a lofty goal, but i think a great step in sung’s storyline as a producer, so if yall have albums in mind and might want that, hit me up!

aside from that, sung was announced as face to cleantopia, a laundromat service, wherein his face was made into hangers [x] it’s one of my favorite brand deals sung’s ever done

looking forward, i hope to have sung work with a second charity as well. charity is smth i’ve had in mind since the claim opened up, since it’s a very Sung thing to want to be part of. if any other muses perhaps frequent charity galas, we could have sung and your muse meet that way

i hope to upkeep his lancome deal and sun’s goodnight (if you want your muse on the next round of the show, let me know! we could even thread the experience like jiah n him are doing if you like!) but beyond that basically it’s just focus on producing and modeling

sung’s incredibly heartbroken, though, bc he thought it was true love blah blah. the bf normalized a lot of things sung didn’t partake in before meeting him, like being with a man, being and dressing as he likes, sex, drinking, all to different levels of healthy or not. with that and sung’s lite likeliness to lean on vices when in pain, these things would pop up more

drinking wouldn’t be to the level as element break up, just weird for sung who rarely drinks

his relationship with his tastes in decor and fashion have been a little warped, which i can explain more in dms if anyone wants

and he’s more likely to lean into comfort wherever it comes. this could be in many forms but the overarching theme is sung whore era. he’s more likely to meet an attractive stranger, have a good initial connection, then take them home to boink, and similar to the exbf, try to convince them both that theyre dating the next day, likely to a lot of heartbreak. friends too, sung has had a long history with being attracted to friends but putting up blinders on seeing the signs. in this time period, it’s more likely those blinders could be pulled off and sung would make a move, which could lead to the pretending they’re dating, but also could lead to freaking out, or multiple other arenas. these are all open plots, so it depends on your muse, too

aside from the whore era he’s probably writing and listening to a lot of sad breakup songs, and he’s,, probs the most rebellious he’s ever been re: his parents? he told them they broke up and the reaction was o honey i’m sorry, it’s good tho, then almost immediately trying to set him up w girls to date again. and it upset sung so he’s throwing a minor tantrum and gasp, missing on a couple of facetime calls with mumsie

Okay if you can handle 07 cg animation and female character design. and the weird intro narration. ITS A BOP

I mean okay i dont even think its bad animation, just a little funky looking. but i love it. and has a very nice "spooky turtles fading into shadows with glowing eyes" effect. but yeah freaky stick arm ladies. rip. well theres only 3 of them anyway... ksdfbgs -> turtles difficulties.

the animated sets are gorgeous. like. lush environments for running around in. atmospheric lightin. DOING. the fucking most. with their water effects rendering of the time.

love a movie with. three intros. not really. but theres classic "hey look turtles, theyre mutants! and ninja!". theres hey this ancient evil thing needs a set up. and then theres. leos been hanging in... central america for 2 years. and thats. well. theres training reasons for it, but really theres angst reasons for it.

and yes. this is angst turtles narrative babeyyyyy. god help me but that was good ass leo raph fighting. the movies are gonna movie. and it is secondary mikey donnie. turtle movie constant :/. BUT. ITS GOOD. is the thing. leos been gone, and thinks he failed his training. in his absence don and mike moved to. more civilian occupations (aka IT support and kids birthdays lol). so raphs is doing a lone vigilante thing. motorbike and all.

Lemme try not to. Just repeat every narrative beat in this thread of the movie but. Just like, doing the vibe of anyone whose been away from family/friends for a while. Trying to mesh back in. Miscalculation due to things you've missed. And on top of that, trying to be the leader, with the insecurity of his perceived failure. And Raph who resents the idea they needed Leo, and hurt by his absense. And hiding his solo actions from everyone.

And well. When the words fail sometimes you want to see the characters have an emotional fraught duel!! And this fucking delivers. Maximal... catharsis i suppose.

The rest of the plot vibes well enough with keeping the emotional core of getting this family working together again. Capture monsters quests. Teases for future movies that never happened. But! It's fun! It is fun. It doing GREAT. On the funny and crying alignment chart for turtles media. Sweet boys, good dad splinter moments (even if not always good teacher, such is the way). Oh, and movie turtles that can USE THEIR WEAPONS. In fights. Like. On their opponents. Like. Just a pretty strong movie over all.

The only other thing to say about this is. great trivia to learn/s. Got fucked up by some studio stuff. INCLUDING. The weinstein company.... Which lead to recasting some of the rolls with celebrities. which is probably why the turtles are all veterans of VO work but then like. April, Casey and another character are all. BIG FAMOUS ACTORS. Cant have shit in animation. that been true and remains true huh.

you do not know what you have askd for. i have so many thoughts. you are getting an entire not!fic/fic outline here (also its 4am prepare fr typos this took so long to write my wrists hurt)(also put it under a cut bc it got LONG)

so basically it started with me Hating the pastelxpunk trope and making it Better. that is not important context but i also want it to be known

party is. Obnoxiously scene. they can and will pretend it is still 2007. the world past 2012 does not exist in their eyes. absolute king of kandi bracelets and neons you WILL get a headache from looking at them. they are the reason their school changed the rules about what hairstyles arent allowed and they r proud. did i mention this is sorta hs au. anyway they end up goig 2 a lot of local shows bc when it comes 2 alt music you cannot pick and choose in a relatively small city. reminder they are WILDLY scene they CAN and WILL glow in the dark from the amount of glow sticks they wear

ghoul is PUNK. and i mean he is properly PUNK he has the aesthetic the mindset the music. all r nothin baybe! and also. Doesnt like scene kids. bc headache inducing. he always has a shitton of patches on everything and makes most of them himself r they were gifts and like. hngh i just think he is Neat. patches nd denim jackets and doc martens that are falling apart nearly. so hes from the Big City and jus moved 2 party/kobra/jets town (they r childhood frendz) at the start o summer (YES TIMING IS IMPORTANT U WILL SEE) and is getting in2 the local alt scene.

and at one of these super cool shows he sees party poison fr the first time and is. Woah. theyre BRIGHT. and party is like used 2 ppl staring bc theyre the only super scene kid around but GOD, that guy doesnt seem 2 b staring in the GOOD way bc ghoul is fucking blind but refuses 2 wear glasses and cannot see anything other than Neon Blur (i am projecting here. also thats a cool kj name) but he KNOWS thats a scne kid so hes glaring bc this is a misfits cover band Why Are You Here kinda thing i guess? and partys all “whats up with you, fucker?” bc theyre defensive and impulsive and ghoul flat out punches them (he swears he was aiming fr their shoulder. but he also couldnt see very well. so he hit their face) and they end up getting thrown out fr fighting and they hate each other now.

and then. one day. kobra jet and party are all chillin sewhwere public. and party goes off probably to claires bc theres a sale and they Need more gloves and when they come back That Kid from the show is there???? talking to kobra and jet???? and party is like “kobes wht rh FUCK???????” and koba nd jet r just like. uhm. s this is fun ghoul? the guy? we told you about him? and party is like OU DIDNT SAY HE WAS DOUCHEBAG PUNK GUY!!!!!! and ghoul is like gay panicking bc they can actually See party now and Fuck Theyre Pretty but also PARTY POISON YOUR SIBLING AND TRUSTED FRIEND IS ANNOYING SCENE KID????????? ANDALSOREALLYCUTEOHDESTROYAHELPME but kobra and jet catch on and are like “nuh uh ur both coo people no fighting when we r around keep ur dumb little spat between urselves” and ghoul nd poison r like “>:( fine >:(” except secretly ghoul is :flushed: :pleading: :flushed:

so we fast forward 2 school starting in september and since i dont fuking understand the american school system, kobra is a year below ghoul&party and jet is a year ahead but somehow ghoul has classes w kobra bc i want them to and it is plot relevant. so ghoul and kobra bcome friends bc obviously they do and ghoul jet nd kobra hang out a lot bc party is Busy With Things i guess?? but like ghoul and party have a class 2gether and even tho they both have 2 tone down the aesthetics fr school they still intentionally annoy each othr in discreet ways

nd they sorta? keep that up? but ghoul and poison both realise “aw fuck, theyre actually. super cool” but both have chroic Cannot Admit My Mistakes disease so they resort to no longer plotting murder but PINING bc “oh noooo they hate meeee how sadddd” but theyre BOTH pining and think the other hates them. so to compensate thy keep doing little flirts in their own ways? party special orders darker kandi beads so they can make ghoul a bracelet that matches their aesthetic but ghoul of course knowns nothing of kandi and just. accepts it. and kobra and jet are like :bonk: bc WHAT THE FUCK???? cause they have baincells sorta kinda. and of course ghoul flirts by handsewing a patch fr party with ALSO special ordered neon thread and party is ALSO oblivious. this happens bc i think it is hilariously adorable that in their own subcultures thy r basically shoving signs saying DATE ME!!!!! I LIKE YOU!!!!!!!!!n each others faces but they dont know enough abt eachother to know that. miscommunicaion and gay pining. mmm yummy.

nd at this point they r Very Close 2gether and ghoul hands party the choker back ad is like ,,,csn you,,, help me put it on,,,? and it is very very charged as ghoul moves their hair out of the way for party to reach up and fasten the hoker and ghoul KNOWS they should TURN AOUND so party can see better and party KNOWS they should move their hands away from the ghouls neck even when theyve fastened it and they BOTH know theyr standing Very Close and partys hands r sota half holding ghouls shoulders nd partially his face and ghoul is just. Staring. and then they both sorta lean in and :)))) kith. and jetndkobra are like THANK FUCKING GOD FINALLY and party nd houl r like WE WERE HAVING A MOMENT also wdym FINALLY i totally couldnt tell they liked me! then they look at eah other like. HOW DID YOU NOT KNOW I LIKED YOU??????? HOW???? I GAVE YOU PATCHES/KANDI BRACELTS THATS BASICALLY A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL and then kith more. :)))) liddol homos
