One of the reasons why I think they saved confirming Will as gay for s4, is to distract from Mike's queercoding.
When the GA watch the rain fight, they probably think about how Will doesn't like girls, he's probably gay, and how sad it is to see Mike and Will's friendship fracture. This distracts from thinking about how "it's not my fault you don't like girls" also sounds a lot like projection, or how weird it is that the writers are having Mike trying to act grown up by dating El, dressed similarly to his father, in a show that celebrates childhood and friendships.
A similar phenomenon happens during the rink o mania fight. The GA tend to use this scene as proof of Will's sexuality, his jealousy and hurt over Mike not communicating with him like he did with El is the first big hint towards Will's feelings for Mike in s4. However, the rink o mania fight also works to distract from the fact that it's weird that Mike didn't talk to Will, or hug him in the airport, sending the message that he's ignoring him, despite them being best friends and then Mike noticing that Will is rolling his eyes and moping. The line "we're friends, we're friends" is so incriminating for Mike, like yeah, Will already knows that, what were you thinking Mike?? The trope of the endgame couple saying that they're "just friends" is always such obvious set up, it's an expectation just aching to be subverted, Mike and Will are going to end up as more than friends.
The thing is, the GA is so much more likely to pick up on Will's queercoding, not only because it has been more overtly hinted at throughout the previous seasons, and it is also more palatable since Will has never had a girlfriend, but also because we lack Mike's perspective in s3 and s4. Once we start seeing Mike's struggle with conformity, growing up and internalised homophobia, lines like "it's not my fault you don't like girls" and "we're friends, we're friends" is going to be considered as hints towards Mike liking Will on a wider scale.
In short, due to Will's more obvious and palatable queercoding, the GA are more likely to be looking for reasons to assume Will is gay, rather than Mike. Before Will had been confirmed as gay, the audience is more likely to think that byler scenes are supposed to hint at Will's sexuality, which they wouldn't have thought if this was already confirmed as there would be no need for this to be done. This may also lead to byler scenes being interpreted as "proof Will is gay" scenes instead of "proof byler is endgame" scenes.

I just watched Nimona with MFED (my family excluding dad) and it was great, but their commentary was so annoying......nehsusix
"why did everyone hate her? She didn't do anything to them, she could just shapeshift so people just decided to hate her for that, that's unrealistic " It's not !! It's literally what's happening in real life!! People are getting killed for miniscular things even when they're not hurting anyone! People are bullied and killed for being neurodivergent, gay, trans, black, poc, queer!! It's happening in the world even if it doesn't make logical sense!
"why did everyone forgive her so easily and made "I love nimona" notes after literally destroying the city?" Because she literally (supposedly) sacrificed herself and saved all of the citizens' life, which pretty much makes up for her destroying some parts of the city?? Are we watching the same movie??
"everyone hated her and she didn't do anything wrong why does everyone hate her it doesn't make sense" yeah that's the point. That's literally the point and that's exactly why it makes sense
This isn't to bash on my family or anything lol I just feel like they barely looked into the queercoding of it all even though it's very prevalent

OH MY LORD THEY TOLD US EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MIKE
Bare with me for a minute.
S2 Ep 5: (context: Nancy and Jonathan are with Murray talking about how to get the truth about Barb's death out there.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Behind the curtain is the truth. Some people aren't wired in the way that they want to know the truth, or search for the truth, or be skeptical of the information they're given. In other words, they accept the lies they're given easily because of this. They want to believe the surface level things, and not look deeper. Kinda reminds me of someone...
Tumblr media
Mike accepted Will's lie about the painting being from El so easily because he didn't want to dig deeper. According to the cast, he's pretty clueless. However, ignorance is a choice. He's choosing to look the other way because he hasn't come to terms with his own feelings for Will and is still not willing to admit him being queer is the truth behind the curtain, and something he can't change. That's why he just accepts this lie from Will. He thinks El needs him and he needs to tell her he loves her. He doesn't question anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"They like the curtain."
If we wanna go even deeper with this, (which we do because you wouldn't still be reading if you didn't) we could say the curtain = beard.
The beard = El
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Mike likes El. She provides stability, comfort, definition."
Hiding the truth behind his beard keeps up his heteronormative appearance and comforts him- makes him feel normal. El gives him stability.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"This would open the curtain, and open the curtain behind that curtain."
If Mike admitted his feelings for Will, it'd open up the curtain, revealing the part of himself he's been shamefully hiding for so long.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Come on guys! The Byler coded curtains? The window that most likely represents coming out? Literally malfunctioning at how planned this was. Mike has always been written as queer. This conversation with Murray is so queercoded it hurts. It's about Mike. Beyond the curtain is the truth that Mike has not been willing to admit. In season 5, we're going to see a resolution to this. He'll come to terms with his feelings and open the curtain, coming out. He's already beginning to let go of El, his beard- his curtain- and once he does, he'll reveal the truth behind it.

What do you think about the answer to this https://www.tumblr.com/gojuo/742796780522061824/is-satosugu-a-queerbaiting-ship?source=share ?
Each to their own, though I would like to add that it isn't "manipulative gaslighting" to see certain characters and their interactions through queercoded lenses and talk about it so much. I understand op's pov about how some stsg are annoying and send death threats to people who just want to have fun and ship gojo with whichever character they want because at the end of the day they're all fictional!! Let people think however they want and ship whoever they wish to!! But this argument also coexists with let stsg shippers make theories and art and memes and have fun without shitting on them so much just because you think it isn't canon. Fandom interactions are what makes a fandom, and fandom is a backbone of the series, I am sorry but that's the truth! You cannot separate fandom and the manga but sure you can choose not to interact or look away if it isn't what you like. And yes it's not canon but if a person chooses to view their interactions through queercoded lenses it's on them and you don't have any say in that. The artists and writers who take these characters base their art/fics around them are doing so because they love it, it can be delusional for you but that's how fandoms work, you take the characters and the interactions you like and choose to add onto that and it's fun!! Most fandoms do this, why do you think there are so many fix it, time travel, hurt-comfort fics? Sure it might get annoying because that's the most prevalent and loud part of this fandom and yes I agree shoko didn't get enough screentime and gege really fumbled with her (let's be honest he fumbled with all the potential his female characters had) but there are still some of us who root for them and wish to see more of her but thinking that just having more interactions of the trio would somehow "force" us to focus on "her dynamic with other characters in a meaningful way" as an argument against how that'd lessen the focus on ship is honestly very dumb. We have people dissecting the single panels of geto/shoko and gojo/shoko interactions, we have pages of thesis on "i was there too" panel, we have people writing and wondering about how everything effected her and we have art of her with both of them together, upon that if we had more of the trio the fandom would've simply shifted their focus on the trio+the ship, neither is going to lessen the focus on other. Her presence wouldn't take away but rather add more and fleshen out more personalities and quirks which inevitably would've led to more stsg content, just think about it. At the end of the day people who feel strongly about certain topics will continue to feel them and a stranger on internet stating their opinions isn't going to persuade them to do the otherwise easily, so think what you will!

I keep wanting to rant about give me the lOve bitxx, because I can't be the only one who finds this song inherently contradictory, right? Everything is at odds with itself, including the actions and thoughts of the narrator. I can't put my finger on his motivations, on which lines are sincere and insincere, and it's giving me a headache.
I'm always conflicted whether I should approach their songs about women with a queer lense or not. It makes sense to dig deeper into angel and the instinct part 1 songs where religious guilt ties in nicely with the queer themes, but obviously they have plenty of songs about women that don't require a look into the subtext and can be taken as what they are on the surface, aka bi anthems. In the case of this song, I think it makes the most sense to approach it through the lense of what they can't say, and the amount of internal conflict here feels very queercoded to me. On the one hand, it seems like it's from the perspective of someone who cares about the person he's singing about and is aware he wouldn't be a good partner because of his emotional issues, so he warns her not to get too close. On the other hand, it feels like the narrator isn't sure he's attracted to women and he feels annoyed with this woman who keeps clinging to him, but he admits he doesn't actually want her to leave, likely because he wants to maintain a veneer of "normalcy".
The sound of the song itself is sweet and innocent, but the title is passive aggressive. He demands to be given love even though the majority of the song focuses on pushing her away, and calling her a bitch comes across as resentment. The lyric beginning the song and every chorus is "don't make me pull the trigger", which is a very manipulative threat - he puts the blame for wanting to hurt her on her. As @atozmoongazer kindly pointed out to me, the imagery in the chorus is that of a holdup - freeze, give me your treasure, don't make me pull the trigger. The treasure in this case would likely be the titular love, and taking into account the rest of the song, he's not very keen on reciprocating it or treating it gently.
Her covering his mouth when he's talking could be read in two ways (once again thank you @atozmoongazer for pointing out to me what I missed - it's a reference to Yoojung's mouth being covered in the teaser, therefore a pretty important line). One interpretation is more literal, that she interrupts him, makes him feel like his words don't matter, maybe she prefers to kiss him instead of having a conversation, and all of that on top of the fact that he doesn't like how clingy she is results in him feeling bad and resentful in this relationship. The other interpretation is that he feels silenced whenever he's around her, and he blames her for his own inability to express what's on his mind. She could just be the scapegoat for everything and everyone else that's making him feel this way.
Even the lyrics that mention constantly thinking about her face and feeling strange could be read in two ways. The obvious one is that you normally think a lot about the person you like, but I know from experience how confusing it can be when you constantly think about a person you know you're supposed to like, but aren't sure you do. I spent a lot of time in the past going back and forth between "If I actually liked this person, I would know it and be certain of it, and since I'm constantly questioning whether my feelings are real or not, that means I clearly don't like them" and "I'm constantly thinking about them and wondering whether I like them or not, therefore I must like them since I've got this weird obsession with them". When he talks about hiding his feelings, playing dumb and feeling numb because of it, on the surface it might refer to making sure his romantic feelings don't show, but to me it feels much more like a continuation of the lines about feeling broken when they're near each other and continuing to put up with it.
Basically, I think this internal conflict and confusion are an intentional feature of the song, similarly to skinz. The narrator wants to hide behind a veneer of a sweet-sounding boy group love song and make sure you don't understand him just as much as he doesn't understand himself, but lying to the listener about everything makes him feel too silenced. Since he can't hold back all the negative feelings he's bottling up, it's easy to look through the cracks and catch a glimpse of everything waiting to pour out of him, and end up feeling just as conflicted and confused as he does.

what makes tenrose's s2 arc so compelling isn't the repression alone. it's the kind of repression. a lot of times with ships like this it's that they don't understand that they're in love, but deep down they know it.
with tenrose that is absolutely not the case. the doctor knows he is in love with rose. rose knows she's in love with the doctor. they know how the other feels. they just don't say it and don't act on it (despite what some of the fandom thinks, they were not having sex)
it's this specific dynamic. them being in love, and acting like they are in love, while still holding one part back that makes them so powerful in such a short span of time.
the doctor is only repressing his love for rose because he loves her so much that he knows that losing her would crush him, and it does! but it would be even more painful if he lost her after letting her all the way in. so he guards himself, and her; because he knows (or thinks) he could never have the life he wants to have with her and how that would have hurt both of them more in the end.
yet, he is absolutely very aware of his love for her. his love for her is oozing out of his pores, it's pushing against his teeth. ("can you imagine watching that happen to someone who you.../tell her... oh, she knows.") and he does not hold back from making her feel loved by him as much as he can which is why rose feels so secure in his love for her despite all of this.
this is also why "what was the end of that sentence?" is what makes her choose tentoo in the end. she knows, but by the time she is reunited with him after two seasons it does need saying and they all know that in that moment. if there is one thing rose knows it's that he loves her, she trusted in the end of that sentence so deeply that it's what made her choose the version of the doctor who had the freedom to give her what she crossed universes for. the end of that sentence.
and yes, they are queercoded because rtd is gay. i know.

saw your stupid post complaining a about queercoded Carol Danvers: bitch, MCU Carol has been read as queer since the moment they made a movie where she doesn't have a love interest, is best friends with a woman to the level she helped raising her kid. to the level the military gave her things to Maria instead of any Danvers. to the level Monica tells her she didn't get along with her parents so the Danbeaus became her family.
nothing screams lesbian louder than raising a kid with your single mom friend and be so important to the kid that she's bitter over you fucking up for thirty years.
nothing screams lesbians as much as leather jacket, ripped jeans, and flannel shirt.
this bitch has been gay from the moment they decided to make Carol Danvers sorta Mar-Vell protege instead of making Mar-Vell a dude and Carol just his love interest like the original version in the comics.
then they make her have a very clear marriage of convenience with the prince of the gayest planet of the MCU.
bonus that the fucking king of Asgard calls her Marv? makes a strap-on joke? those bitches fuck and fuck good.
not to count that oh, she's a fictional character? let this bitch be the biggest gay ever. if they're not gonna give us canonically queer characters from the comics like Loki, gimme Captain Carol "Raised a Kid With My Best Friend, Definitely Bangs the King Of Asgard and Is a Lesbian Car Mom" Danvers.
it's the internet, you don't get much space to be a incel, pathetic queerphobic bitch lol
WOW! I missed this particular load of b.s. Get a load of the sheer damage that the Queer Identity Cult has been doing to people and their common sense. Are you so warped, that you have never, ever heard of a person, male or female, not getting along with their family and going out, making their own?
Newsflash, HONEY! A shitload of kids from every background does that. I did that. My family sucked at a lot of things. The minute I was old enough, I moved to another state, made best friends with a crazy white chick, and was invited to move into the house, by HER mother. We had a blast..AND BOY, WERE WE BOY CRAZY. If I wasn't such a rolling stone, I'd still likely be there, helping her with her now grown son, and I know this, because over 30 years later, we are still close friends.
I can also imagine being missed by a child from another friend because I WAS missed by a loving goddaughter, as I bopped all over the place, for years and can easily imagine her being hurt, if something was wrong with her mother, and I did not contact them. That is how it works, even with the family that you choose. They have the right to be upset, if you fuck up.
I ALSO enjoyed wearing ripped jeans, flannel and leather jackets in school. It was called a phase, and I THINK I can blame it on Duran Duran, but I'll have to check my photo album.
I also had a preppy period that I CAN blame on Molly Ringwald. Everyone who wears flannel is not Gay, just like every girl with short hair is not a goddamn Lesbian.
You all have really screwed yourselves up by trying to command that every human being adhere to some kind of uniform to match their sexuality. It is beyond ignorant. One of you stupid fucks assumed that my sister was a Lesbian, just because she rocks a Halle Berry short. Another newsflash: My Sis? Loves DICK. Truly. She also has some pretty awesome male relationships in her life.
Also, how can Carole Danvers be BOTH canonically love interest to a man, in the comics, like you just said, if she's now suddenly, considered a Lesbian? You're also basically saying that every person who even sings, is Gay.
What I'm hearing you say is that women cannot possibly:
wear flannel and torn jeans
have chosen family
have fights with their father
go through sexual harassment or mysoginy
..even be missed by a child that they were close to..unless they are a Lesbian.
But hey, since you brought all of this up, let's talk about Nia DaCosta. It seems now that she was very determined to Queer code Carole Danvers in Captain Marvel. That got solidified real well by the sabotaging BULLSHIT pulled by little Miss Kamala Khan, herself. That was quite the interview she did, making sure that people knew Nia DaCosta had made the film Queer, "But it had to be cut out. Boo hoo! Trolls should attack the movie MORE!"
Message effing received. The whole thing was a fuck over. And ever since, you all have been trying to redeem the damage YOU have done. THERE IS NONE. You're disgusting.

What do you find most attractive in fictional characters? Give one physical trait and one personality trait if possible!
"If possible."
It really all depends, but you know that, on a basic level, I'm a sucker for blond anime boys for some reason. If they're the type to just smile mysteriously instead of answering a question about themselves, so much the better.
But I think my favorite characters in general are the ones who are determined to do what they think is right regardless of how painful or self-destructive it might be to do so, or how futile it might be overall (Hikigaya Hachiman, Lightning Farron, Siffrin). As you can see, I also really like characters who have to learn how to be vulnerable and learn how to (let themselves) express their feelings, especially with people they come to consider family.
I LOVE when characters are cheerful and never fully lose their optimism but have to acknowledge that they have been wrong wrong wrong and hurting people who they care about and let their friends help pick them up and learn and grow (Rex, and, in a way, Luke fon Fabre). But I also really love when characters just let themselves descend into their worst tendencies, acknowledging their own flaws while refusing to change them, just becoming a poisonous wreck incapable of forming meaningful comnections in favor of idolizing the self (Isamu Nitta, Albedo Piazzolla).
Of course, I also adore supremely cheerful characters whose lives are so fucking tough and to whom the world is almost nightmarish and who absolutely refuse to let that stop them from being happy and kind and helpful and naive (Marona, Sora). I love when characters who dont deserve that nightmare world decide to take revenge on it and then find the people they love and calm down and find peace and forgiveness in their hearts (Roxas, Axel, Walnut, Godot). But I also love when characters who wanted so desperately to do good end up so broken that they decide to become the villain (Big Boss, Lusamine, Guzma, Egil, Sprout).
Of course, I also adore characters who INSIST that they are evil but only if you frame it the right way (Laharl, Rozalin). I mean, characters who know they're evil but have a pathos about them get me too (Sigma, Metallia). But I think better than even those is when a nightmarishly powerful, truly deadful, overhwelmingly evil character decides to allow themself to change and be changed and become better people (Killia, Lambda).
But shoutouts to idealists who fall and never comfortably fit into villainy (Jin), idiots with ahoges who Blue Screen over something truly devastating happening to them only to decide their own new identities and throw off the reigns of the patrons who had for so long been manipulating them (Yumihiko Ichiyanagi, Shulk), and the characters who the developers didn't even realize they were queercoding (or maybe they did) who let us read so much pining into them it hurts (Reyn, Neku Sakuraba).
Also I love love love love LOVE when a character will sacrifice themself to protect someone, even if it's fucking STUPID of them and all they need to do is TRUST PEOPLE (Simon Blackquill), and characters who trust the protagonist but who the protagonist just can't trust implicitly (Klavier Gavin), and those very protagonists (Apollo Justice), and, yeah, I love a lot of characters and types.
I just love complexity and messiness and idealism in the face of despair (Makoto Naegi) and despair in the face of hope (Nagito Komaeda). I love bastards who know they're bastards, I love good people who fought long and hard to be good people and who will never acknowledge it (Solid Snake), I love good brothers (Gladion), I love cute friends (Hau), I love happiness and joy and I love sadness and despair. I love a lot. I have a lot of love.

Heteronormativity was trapping for the main four in CO. Yep, even Penny
I've often talked about how it hurt Agatha and Simon in much more direct and invasive ways (comphet). They're the damsel/prize and the hero who were pushed into a performance of traditional straight conventions, which wasn't what either of them wanted, but they were unable to see outside of it. They were friends, and they could see the other was pretty (not remembering if Agatha talks about Simon being handsome directly, but she does talk about how beautiful and handsome his parents were, so). But they weren't in love, and weren't sexually attracted. However, heteronormativity tells you than a boy and girl being able to see the other is pretty is enough to believe there's attraction.
Agatha and Simon share a braincell a lot, and they villanized Baz (~The Villain~) in the same silly, over-the-top fairytale style (srly Agatha? Poison in tea?) as if Baz was gonna show up with his widows' peak and dark eyeshadow wearing a long, dramatic ass cape to Evily Steal Away Agatha (did they seriously imagine Baz as a classical queercoded villain? Simon does say he looks like an alluring old black and white movie actor when he just wakes up... I joke but also, wait a minute–). Baz fell for the same fairytale bs too. He didn't know shit about their relationship but imagined they "stood in front of the sunset, looking into each others' eyes while the wind caressed their hair with romantic drama" or some shit, and he thought that based on optics alone ("the golden couple") (WS tell us he did watch movies such as the Princess Bride, which has this kind of imagery). Most importantly, it made Baz afraid. He felt much safer pretending to be interested in the girl than letting Simon know his true feelings. He imagined Simon seeing him as monstrous (and given how often his vampirism is tied to his queerness, well).
Heteronormativy also tells us that platonic love is "impossible" between boy and girl. That girls must compete over a boy's attention, that a girlfriend must be the most important girl in his life, and female friends are not to be trusted. Simon's closest friends are girls, and while this bullshit never got between his friendship with Penny, it did affect the dynamic of the trio. Agatha felt like the third wheel–like she wasn't as close to either Simon or Penny as they were to each other, which can be isolating, given that they don't mention other really close friends outside of the trio. From her POV she felt left out, like what she wanted didn't matter as much, like she wasn't as important (even though the "gf is supposed to be the most important") and she was the one burdened with expectations while Penny could just be Simon's friend, free from it all, even though "they liked each other better". It'd feel unfair, and there's jealousy and resentment there, but it's not romantic. These are complex and very valid feelings for a teenage girl in her position, but it was flattened and reframed as "hetero competition" with Penny (as if romance's the only valid form of closeness between girls and boys) producing the truly cringe-inducing exchange "you're my girl" "Penny's your girl".
And Penny could sense this. She could sense something was fucking with the trio, but she didn't fully understand why. She was just like "what did y'all have to date??" but didn't go much deeper. She gets close when she thinks Agatha "isn't suited at all" to be Simon's girlfriend, but that she's still Simon's friend, one of Simon's only friends. And the way she thinks about this implies she has been thinking about this for a long time, maybe she was even vocal about it. "Has Simon finally realized?" she wonders, mistakenly assuming that Simon not wanting to leave Baz's house was about "not wanting to get back together with Agatha" when it was about not wanting to leave Baz.
That's another thing: Penny didn't pick up on the vibes between Simon and Baz. I know Simon's Baz-related behavior around her can feel so obvious to the reader that there's the temptation to say Penny suspected, but let me tell y'all: she did not suspect shit. She didn't!
It took until Penny watched Baz homosexually embrace Simon while calling him "love" for her to understand. Only then does she think "everything is starting to make sense" meaning that she's able to look back and understand in hindsight that there was no heterosexual explanation for the obsession those two had for each other. Only then. She didn't pick it up at Baz's house: she looked at them and basically thought "when this truce is over and they go their separate ways" while the reader knows those two are already on kissing terms. She saw Baz looking a little crazy at the thought of Simon running (or literally flying) into danger, and she was like "mayhaps there are leftover feelings from their rivalry?". She went along with Simon's stalking at first, she sat down with Simon to watch Baz play football while wearing his little shorts and she didn't pick up shit. She had to limit Simon's "Baz-talk" so they wouldn't just talk about Baz 24/7 and she still didn't suspect shit!! While that's partly just being clueless about romance, it's heteronormativity too: seeing what's classic, obvious crush behavior to the reader but not being able to realize what she's seeing (at least in part) because it's two boys. It only becomes obvious to her once they're "explicitly" behaving like a couple. (Then again, Simon was so unhinged about it you can't blame her for electing to just tune it out lol)

Head canons/theories/things I noticed in reference to the new fnaf dlc
(SPOILERS)
All the models are different. Like big different. Roxy's whole face was remodeled (it honestly looks better in dlc), I don't pay attention to monty but there's gotta be some differences there, same with chica, all Freddy models I could find online don't have prototype on the foot like dlc Freddy, etc.
Freddy reminds me of nightmare fredbear with the stomach teeth thing going on
There's no arcade or atrium and we do not see much of the lobby, this is probably due to file size or something
It looked like the blob showed in on that one staircase with the big hole in the wall, though I am unable to confirm
THE DAYCARE ANIMATRONIC.
Has the same inner set of teeth as the mimic.
They have an inner set of teeth! That arent supposed to be seen on them when they're not messed up, which could either be some weird in universe design choice, or part of a past design they didn't wanna take out. Either way it's weird.
Their left eye looks bloodshot and human almost, it looks awesome and there's probably some explanation for it like the led in the eye being messed up with the rest of that side of the face
Their pants have wire in them, meaning the pants are solid, probably so children don't get hurt by the endoskeleton
The wrench socket in the back of their head is dlc only, the sun model (aka both models, moon is just repainted sun) do not have this at all, though there is space for it
Their torso also has wire like the pants do, though its hard to see
Their hands don't have any outer shell on them, or ALL of the paint has chipped away which I don't believe
All animatronic ai is weird, reminds me of before release builds where the ai doesn't update as fast as the player moves, except it's less obvious in the dlc and could be written off as a purposeful thing
The dlc kind of follows the same path as security breach. Enter, start going places, get sidetracked, go to daycare, deal with animatronics one at a time, one technically doesn't die, multiple endings where u have to do certain things to unlock them
The comic pages are interesting, they show pages from different endings which is odd and doesn't make sense in universe unless Gregory drew them and has crazy creativity.
BONNIE IS BLUE OH MY GOD HE'S BLUE
Bonnie is also gay, like why would supossedly nonsentient animatronics have permission to keep very queercoded posters from their bestie.
I'm loving it though
The minigames in the dlc were in the code of security breach unfinished, they probably recycled them since there was no reasonable place them in a main game update
I believe there was an extremely unfinished bowling game, I don't think it was in the dlc which is tragic
The weird glitch in the vanni mask is likely glitchtrap remnants, if it's confirmed I love the (re)design.
The camera system wasn't very useful with distracting animatronics, using it could be easily avoided in most areas (still a very cool mechanic though)
And that is all, I don't think many people will read this far, if at all, but it's nice just to get this all out of my head

I'm pretty convinced they're going for evil!will in S5. Most definitely in supernatural superpowered way. I can't wait. I've always loved the fanfics where Will lashes out with his powers.
Honestly, if we get evil!will i would fully support him.
But..
but i think if Will does actually have some powers, they will parallel it to Vecna, in a way that makes Will so much more better and powerful than him.
The line when Dustin is telling Eddie's uncle how he died protecting the town that hated him resonated with me about Will in some way of foreshadowing maybe (without the death)
Will was different, sensitive, bullied in school - called zombie boy and other stuff.
But even in the Upside down he survived on his own. If the Shadow monster tried to reach him there, he resisted, in opposite of Vecna/Henry who sought out that power to become more powerful.
Will being different, on top of being gay just wouldn't make sense to make him evil. There's too many stereotypes and bad tropes for queercoded villains, we don't need that again.
Instead, with vol. 2 the general audience finally see a bit more of how Will loves Mike, but not only Mike, but how he loves El and all his other friends and family. He would do so much to protect them. That's already what makes him so powerful! And the audience is rooting for him so much more now!
Henry was shown sensitive, different, but he used his abilities to hurt others, his own family! And that's where they differentiate SO MUCH.
I hope we get Will being more assured in who he is as a person, being okay and open about his love for Mike. To stand up for himself more, to know he has the support of all the people who love him. (Hell, Mike needs to wake up and be there for him. If we are going back full circle to s1, we might get back the more protective fierce Mike that was always by Will's side no matter what.)
But at the end of it all, being it a cliche or not, I think that the power of love will save them all once again. It didn't work with Eleven, because Mike's monologue wasn't honest and it wasn't what she actually needed to hear. Eleven (11) on the dice roll in 4x1 failed.
They have one more chance, as Will himself said in 4x9. They will fix it together.
And I feel that Will, this boy who the town called zombie boy and other names, will actually save Hawkins, this time with the power of gay love 💕

I love your blog! Your manga analysis is just brilliant.
I'd love your opinion on something I've been thinking about for a while. Do you think Yuu and Mika love each other in a romantic sense? Or at least one of them does? I know it's a shōnen, but I just get some total vibes from these two.
I'm not going to lie - I'm totally shipping them either way 😂
Hey, thank you! Honestly, mind boggling that you'd say that when I kinda just do random shit on my blog but I appreciate that!!
Anyways, about Mikayuu. They're definitely intended to give us vibes. I'm certain the creator wants us to see them as more than friends or family. And I do. See them as romantic, I mean. Even the other characters have acknowledged that they are completely obsessed with each other. They are always talking about saving each other, Yuu is affectionate and describes Mika as his reason to live, even to the point of wanting to kill himself if Mika is dead; Mika blushes around him constantly, wanted to run away with him etc. It's barely even subtext, it's just text.
But are they gonna get together? No. I don't think so. It's just queerbaiting, tho I do think that Mika might actually be canonically in love with Yuu, at least he's queercoded. Not only did he say I love you, even if that can be interpreted in different ways, he also has proven several times that Yuu means the absolute world to him and matters more than his own life, sacrificing himself to save Yuu and all that.
After all of this, I even believe that it'd be quite rude, if not blatantly disrespectful, if they don't get together in the end. I mean, they're so obvious it hurts.
Now, some people still disagree that they're romantic and I think that might be because of Shinoa and it being a generic shonen manga. Shinoa is the leading girl and that's her only role. Being in love with Yuu. Even Mika acknowledges that and even wants Yuu to be with her because, as I see it, he doesn't see himself worthy or capable of making Yuu happy. So he tells Yuu to be with someone else in hopes that Yuu can have a more normal, happier life without him in it.
But Yuu doesn't seem to care about Shinoa romantically at all. Are they still gonna get together in the end? Yeah. Most definitely. At least, I'm like 99% sure. Because it's a generic shonen. So the boy gets the girl, saves the world and everything's great. The end. That's what the story has been leading up to it seems.
Another thing. Mika is thousands of years old and Yuu was created Frankenstein style in order to resurrect him. He was literally made for him. And while that sounds romantic or like they're soulmates, their feelings could therefore be called artificial too. Or they have a reason to be so fixated on each other. Kagami makes it out to be as if their feelings for each other aren't real and that's why they can't be together.
Another thing to consider: the manga is trying to stay close to biblical canon, saying angels don't have a gender. What they also don't have is sexuality, so maybe Mika isn't even capable of attraction. If the plot is trying to be religious and Kagami wills it then God in this verse might be homophobic. That would be horrible...
Whatever. So the way I see it. Mika is in love with Yuu but doesn't want to be a couple. Yuu is oblivious and stupid, because for some reason that's what his character has been made into (he had potential to be smarter but since chapter like, 30 he's been dumb af) and doesn't understand romantic emotions yet, his own or others'. All he cares about is saving people.
So in the end, assuming everyone survives, Mika is gonna be a human because that's what Yuu promised him. And Yuu is gonna be a human too, who can finally concentrate on other things now besides saving everyone and keeping Mika, so he could eventually figure out his feelings for Shinoa and they'll be together. Mika isn't gonna mind it because he wants Yuu to be happy, so he's just kinda there.
I'd want Mikayuu to be together so badly but my expectations are low cause I'm sure they won't be a thing. And again, I do think that'd be disrespectful and I'd be angry because I've never before seen such blatant queerbaiting.

henry higgins started out as a nice lil secondary character in the first season of murdoch mysteries
and he was cute, and he was funny, but pushed to the background usually, just a joke and a helping hand when needed. but they kept pairing him with george, they became the best of friends, and we saw more and more of henry, and he was fun, he was stupid and jerky at times but he was loyal and he did what was right and he loved his friends, and he loved george the most because they were best friends!! they were so worried when the other was hurt!!! and they did everything together!!!
and in those ways henry's so believable and loveable, and for that i love him.
then in season 11 he got together with ruth! and they were silly and ditzy and sweet and perfect for each other, and they got married, and even when ruth lost her fortune henry loved her, which proved that he was marrying her for her and not her money and all that sappy stuff, and they had a baby and she's so cute and i love her and henry!!!!!! and you can even see the effects of fatherhood on him, he becomes more competent with police work, he worries, he cares!!!
then in december i started this fic, and george was the main character, and the ship is henry/george, because why not? i see it, they love each other they're best friends. and i got really invested in my fic. it was beautiful, an amazing idea about one of my favourite musicals and i loved it so much. and i ended up shipping henry/george more than i initially had.
because i loved my fic. and i loved henry.
it's not a big tag on ao3. 33 works as of the time of writing this. i read through all the ones i could tolerate. it's kind of funny, because george and henry were that genre of ships that you know isn't canon, that you know will never be canon, but they're such good friends, they're so close, they're so lovely that you can't help but keep in the back of your mind. they're not the "it's canon (if not only in our hearts)" ship, they're the "it's a lovely idea" ship. because murdoch mysteries is not a show known for its queer rep, this show's queer rep is terrible and there was no way henry and george could be canon. i imagined they loved each other. that was enough.
but. episode 13 of season 15 happens. sigmund freud (FREUD OF ALL PEOPLE) comes to the station house and reads henry's letter to george and asks about it. henry says what it is, and freud says "your lover's name is george?" and henry's like no george is my friend and freud: "you like to say his name don't you" HHHHHHHH??? freud is a dick and an idiot but that's so fucking romantic? and then at the end of the episode??? he tells brackenreid and watts about it like a joke and brax is like "even a broken clock..." and watts just stares,,,,
like what the fuck man. this little constable, who used to be just this tiny kid who made jokes and could hardly pull anything off alone without messing it up, just played for laughs, ends up with this amazing arc, he loves his friends, he loves his wife, he loves his daughter...
and he loves george.
and it's so weird, because... i got into murdoch mysteries in december of 2020, watching the episodes all out of order as reruns aired on my cable provider, because my friends already really liked and recommended it. they informed me beforehand that emily is canonically bi, and watts is canonically gay.
i know second/third hand that when llewellyn watts was comfirmed as gay in early 2020, the fandom collectively lost their minds. because watts had always been incredibly queercoded, and watts being gay was just confirmation of what the fandom had already decided, already known to be true.
but that wasn't the case for henry. no one shipping henry and george would really have gone as far to think "this is canon". but. the show acknowledged that henry loves george.
and it makes sense. it makes all the sense in the world. henry loves george. henry loves george. it doesn't even invalidate other canon relationships; henry loves ruth, he loves their daughter, and george loves effie newsome. but henry loves george.
and so i was propelled into a state of wonder and disbelief. (did i somehow manifest this with my fic?) why does this affect me as much as it does? why does this secondary tiny constable being canonically implied to love his best friend break me as much as it does?
it was at this moment that i realized that henry higgins-newsome was my favourite character.
this stupid show that hardly knew what it was doing made me care about the comic relief more than any of the main cast. they made this secondary tiny constable important. and canonically bisexual. maybe it's my own little happiness over unsignificant people being significant, and discovering yourself, and happy endings. and i love henry for that. so i say canon bi henry higgins??? to let everyone know.
tl;dr

[ID: A version of the "clever thoughts" meme, with a speech bubble coming from the mouth of an outline of the side view of a head. an arrow points from the text inside the head towards the mouth.
the text inside the speech bubble reads, in italics: "canon bi henry higgins???"
the text inside the head reads: "henry higgins-newsome is a side character originally intended for comic relief in a show that hardly ever treats its side characters with the respect they deserve, yet he somehow ended up complex and loveable and that means so much to me."

Any favourite info-dumps? <:O/genq
I love all of them! But here I'll share a few that really stood out to me! -The Julia one I mentioned before!: "I just….. I am love her. I was SO happy when she was introduced. Her first episode is my comfort media. Autistic representation where it isn’t framed as a bad thing is SO rare in children’s media, and “she does things a little bit differently, in a Julia sort of way” made me CRY. She is so much like me and she makes me so happy. The happy flaps when I saw her on the Sesame Street float at the Macy’s parade nearly hurt my wrist I was so happy. She is the best girl and deserves the best. Her puppet was designed to have a set of arms specifically so that she can stim, and she has a comfort toy like I do and doesn’t like the way paint feels like I don’t and loves to sing like I do and gets overwhelmed by sirens like I do and I just love her SO MUCH. (I didn’t link a picture because there are so many good ones! I like the one where she is looking at a feather, and also the one from the cover of the picture book she initially appeared in <3)" -Audrey II: "want to preface: either the stage version or the '86 movie version works, as both are portrayed by puppets! although neither is canonically a puppet in the story. i couldn't tell from the rules if this was disqualifying or not. BUT if i could get a word in for the movie Audrey II: WHAT A GORGEOUS PUPPET… or should i say SERIES of PUPPET/ANIMATRONIC HYBRIDS! there's somewhere in the ballpark of a dozen Twoies in the film to represent the different growth stages of the plant. they're all beautifully painted with vibrant detail, perfectly matching the high camp tone & setting! the mechanics of the puppet are also intricate and innovative; especially the MOUTH those lip syncs are so accurate and expressive! the largest puppets were actually so heavy that in order to remain accurate to the audio, they had to be operated along to the tracks and filmed at half speed, then sped up in editing… which means that when the actors appear with the plant in those scenes, they're ALSO performing at half speed! the stage play versions are (by necessity) less technical than these puppets, which were fabricated by the Jim Henson company btw, but lots are still really cool; a unique standout is the one from the Pasadena Playhouse production! whew. all this and i didnt even talk about the character… Audrey II is an alien plant that was beamed down to Earth and wants to take over the world. it sings some catchy songs about that. they can fit so much queercoding and slay into this plant. it's a girlboss it's a drag queen it manipulated a young man into committing several murders. we stan." -Spamton: "Hee heehee I am so obsessed with this silly puppet guy. I love how he went from an absolute snazzy lil salesman dude with his red tux, and just gradually turned into a complete disaster of himself. I like how little detail is actually shared about his past, so you're left to wonder if he was actually brought down by circumstances out of his control, or if he brought his failures upon himself and just doesn't want to accept that. I want to give him a hug and he would no doubt try to bargain for my soul in the process"
-Riley Ruckus: "SHES SO GENDER OH MY GOD SHES THIS COOL EVIL SCIENTIST WHO WAS MADE TO BE LIKE. A KIND BUT SLIGHTLY AGGRESSIVE SCIENCE TEACHER FOR A KIDS SHOW, BUT AFTER COMING TO LIFE HAD THAT TWISTED INTO MAD SCIENCE, AND SHE CARES SO MUCH ABOUT HER DOGGO AND SHES SO PRECIOUS AND WOULD ALSO RIP U APART AND IS SO VERY GENDER"
And honestly so many others! I love all the infodumps! From the long passionate paragraphs to the more silly jokey ones They're all so much fun to read!

hey fam. i can't with a good conscience continue to not address your comments on my anti m*leven post (censoring this so it doesnt show up in the tag just by the way)
me saying eleven was "barely a person"? that is not my opinion at all. she was just treated as such for over a decade at that point. she was a number, a weapon, and much of her character arc that started in the lost sister and played out for all of season three was figuring out who she was, where she came from, who she wanted to be and i just think that's a pretty cool arc for any character, especially a teenage girl that a lot of people (myself included) look up to so far as the youth audience is concerned. i think she's a fascinating character and i'm genuinely sorry that my post came off as ableist.
as a young queer person i have a lot to lose from these characters i care about not being queer especially after i've related to their (queercoded) experiences for so many years growing up with this show
also as a minor on the internet i still have a lot to learn about a lot of things. m*levels and b*lers have a history of not getting along and we have two years to go until either of us can claim victory (plot twist eleven mike and will all die and we all lose) so i'm trying to extend the olive branch
being a fan of this show for so many years now, i can get a little heated, especially when i'm hiding behind a url and especially late at night. i'm super sorry and i learned a lot in these past twenty four hours.
anyways can we agree that harringrove shippers are racist and homophobic? lol they're the real enemy here
i think that even if you ship m*leven or b*ler we can all agree that the wonder twins stole the show with their love for each other and they would be so supportive of the other dating mike however this pans out. they're the best i love them sm
I appreciate your apology and your acknowledgment that some of the things you said came off prejudiced. I also understand that your perspective of the show means a lot to you, and I’m not trying to take that away from you. I only take issue when this online discourse becomes personal or is prejudiced. I think it’s important to acknowledge that the things we say on the internet don’t just disappear into a void, they stay forever, so it’s good practice to really be ready to stand by whatever it is you say. Also that the text we put out onto the internet is read (especially when someone is directly tagged lol) and our words impact real people who read them. So even when it’s just talking about a show, saying that a character is barely a person because they’ve experienced abuse and trauma can affect real people; it can make them feel like there is something wrong with them, or at the least that that is how people perceive them.
I agree that a lot of season 3 was El finding herself - that was the story for all the kids that season, it was a story about growing up and maturing. But that doesn’t mean she’s not a person, or that she isn’t mature enough to be in a relationship, or that you can’t change and grow with another person. It’s great that you can relate to El, but I would hope that you can see that, just like you, she is worthy and deserving of love and acceptance from those in her life.
I can’t say I see the show the same way you do. I don’t see Mike as queer coded, nor do I see mutual b*ler existing in canon, sub-textually or otherwise. So I can’t say I agree with you that el would be happy either way, but mike leaving el for will is also not a possibility I’d ever actually consider. But it’s your right to take from this show whatever it is you want — I just might advise being prepared for b*ler not to materialize, so it doesn’t hurt you as much should it not happen.
I understand that you’re young - it’s hard for everyone in such a volatile environment, but especially as a teenager. I know I said a lot of dumb shit when I was 15 and part of the reason I am able to keep a safe(ish) distance from the media I consume and the beast that is fandom is in large part due to my age. So I have no hard feelings towards you. I respect the self reflection and an wishing you the best.
