Spoilers for new chapter of ONS: Yuu has ANGEL MIKAELAS soul, right? But the events in ancient Greece (that had to have happened much later after Shikama was damned) show that "Yuu?" was still able to talk to angel Mikas corpse. So who was he talking to if Angel Mika's soul is in Yuu?

In the ancient Greece flashbacks, yuu was able to be resurrected over and over like he was being cloned. This kind of makes sense seeing how eyeball Yuu was able to make humans. Maybe these default humans have the appearance of "Yuu"? But when host Yuu dies, what happens to the Yuu who had mikaelas soul? Is it his soul that keeps being reincarnated into a Yuu body?

ALSO if the souls of the fallen angels went into the new humans, WHERE DID THAT SOUL GO??? did it just get kicked out when Mikaelas soul went into Yuu? What!???!?

And obviously, the elephant in the room- WHO IS MIKA(demon/vampire/human)???

He's a vessel most likely, and has his own separate soul from Yuuichiro. But if Mika is a vessel, why has shikama saved angel Mikaelas body?

I could never be Merlin. None of us could be Merlin. Imagine your best friend kills your first love and you just have to silently forgive him for it without ever bringing that up. Merlin just wanted an excuse to flee from this terrible destiny of having to stick with the royal prat family that kills his kind, and then he finds this girl that's just like him so he takes the opportunity to run away with her. But no, the universe, the old religion, the gods, magic itself or whatever tf is just like, sike! and makes Arthur unknowingly kill Merlin's gf so that Merlin can't get away.

I'd have become so frustrated with all the already pent up resentment I might've actually turned evil at that. I could've killed Arthur myself then. I would've gone on a rampage.

This experience alone made sure of Merlin never having a relationship ever again because he was certain he'd get his significant other murdered or otherwise in severe danger. So he falls for Arthur instead cause he's stuck with him anyway. He gives up saving magic or preserving himself because protecting Arthur is more important than the other part of the prophecy. It's almost like Stockholm syndrome?

I think we don't talk enough about how insane that is. We love saying that Merthur is destiny because that's romantic and also what the show specifically told us. But it seems more like a horror story about the universe hating Merlin so much it controls his life to the point of him losing even the one thing that was promised to him after already having sacrificed everything he had, including himself.

This is a kids show, guys. But the more I read into it the more terrifying it gets.

I need a fic where Arthur comes back because Merlin goes insane and becomes the threat to humanity that's supposed to awaken Arthur. So then they're ENEMIES cause Merlin, over the centuries, has seen so much misery and trauma.

Like, maybe, he was arrested during the witch trials and tortured because you know how they dealt with that shit. Maybe he had to be drafted into multiple wars. Maybe he died in horrific ways and recovered so many times that he lost his mind and his magic is going crazy.

So he decides, "fuck humanity, they've only ever hurt me and magic". So he becomes the threat and Arthur comes back and sees what Merlin is doing and is like wtf man stahp

I'm so confused how Shikama is Mika's father. How is that possible when angels don't reproduce? Angels canonically have neither gender nor sexuality so how can one be another's father? Shouldn't the father just be God since he directly creates angels himself? But Shikama said that he isn't God because God seems to be his enemy. How does that make any sense?
