It is. Mainly because I don't know of any otger Tower of Heaven. That and the Fairy Tail one stuck out. Majorly. Also I imagine that if anyone tries and says they can go destroy the Tower for Yuu's peace of mind they might actually stop them, not only out of fear for the person's LIFE, but also out of fear that the cultists would use the slaves as living meat shields.
Glad that was confirmed :) Anyways, no, I can see them storming the tower for Erza!Yuu to destroy the tower. Yuu is just like: N-No?? Please don't, they're going to use my friends and family there against us.
I'm sure that most of them would understand, but the more empathetic ones (Lilia, Kalim, Deuce, etc.) would still feel uncomfortable about leaving innocent people stuck in the tower.
But it’s not like they’re not planning to attack the tower. At least, not yet.
For you see, Lilia is a general :) and he knows his way around hostage situations. Also his connections would probably make it easier
They’re villains, right? So they’re going to use everything in their powers to plan and prepare for the onslaught. Maybe even team up with Yuu's guild to increase their chances of saving the people from within.
But at the end of the day, they're just trying to help Yuu, and make the world a better place. It'll be worth it, to save innocent people. And trust me, they're going to be planning for anything that'll go wrong.
Even if Mal has to become a dragon to drag the cultists out :)

I don't know you personally so I'm not gonna assume shit, but I was in a similar situation (albeit I knew this person for way less long, more like 6 years). it felt like my comfort characters were snatched out of my hand and made someone else's property, and it was really hard to "reclaim" them because of all the gaps and holes the other person's absence left behind. but I did it eventually, I guess. I'm sure you're on a way different track when it comes to healing bc I'm a good deal younger than you nd such, but I hope you can get to a point where it isn't painful anymore because imho you deserve to have your boys.
Hey anon - thank you SO much for asking about my timelines tbh. It's honestly almost healing to talk about them bc I do care about them so much.
I have to specify that Startop is not my boy but belongs to []. I will never pretend that he's mine, and his story is not mine to tell, but his life is intertwined with Atumu's, and that makes it...hard. And in the other timeline, King is not mine. But these two characters, in those timelines, are the central focus of Atumu's life, and as much as I want to respect []'s distance from me, I cannot erase these shared experiences.
I don't think it'll ever not be painful as it seems i'll never get closure, hah, but I'm trying to become okay with it, you know? And deciding to talk about this despite all that is sort of my "moving on".
Nothing makes me heart feel as much as these stories.

Now I don't think that I'm the one to write about this, but all the fics I've seen of Hobie meeting Miles' parents always feel so... light. It's either "Hobie calls Jefferson a pig to his face and Miles gets grounded" or "Hobie is surprisingly respectful and polite and Miles' parents love him"
Even when the former is done, none of the underlying issue is really addressed. It feels just like silly banter and classic "oooh, the parents don't like the new boyfriend" stuff. Guess what? There are reasons people don't like cops.
I can't stop thinking about Hobie who is polite to Miles' parents, but in an obviously stilted and forced way. Hobie who usually slinks all around a room, but lingers extra close to Miles when his dad is around. Who keeps an arm around him in a way that usually reads as affectionate, but between all the side glances he tosses Jeff it's hard not to see as protective. Who makes a point for Miles to know he's always welcome back in Hobie's dimension. Who doesn't say anything too confrontational, not while the cop in question is in a direct position of authority over someone he loves, but has one hand tensed and ready to shoot webs at a moments notice. Because Hobie is unapologetically loud about his beliefs, but knows how to stand back and be more subtle support when the consequences would spread to others (like when he was prodding Miles about the spider society)
And Jefferson wants to be pissed, he does, but more than that he wishes he didn't look at this young man and get it. That he doesn't look at the anger and protectiveness and see the fear underneath. But they'll never actually get along, because Jeff wants to help things from the inside and Hobie believes there are no good cogs in a broken system.
I've just been feeling a kind of way, seeing some cop shit happening at pride. This situation is too racially charged for me to properly in depth explore it myself, but it's something on my mind each time I read Hobie meeting the parents.

Her eyes widened as the question left his lips, surprised that the Alfa Romeo driver would want to do the tradition with her. ''Uh, yeah, sure. I would love to.'' Her slightly open mouth turned into a bright smile.
''Rianna has been asking for you the entire week so you can see her then as well.'' The Finn grinned. The female driver had been Kimi's daughter's favourite driver since the girl had started attending the F1 races.
Y/N chuckled at his words. ''I'll bring some merch for her and Ace.''
''Really? That's very sweet, they'll like it a lot.'' Kimi appreciated all the time she would spend with his kids, knowing the joy it brought to them.
''I love spoiling my fans,'' she smiled, ''as long as I get like a cool helmet from you, though! I'm very particular about my collection.''
The young woman was known for all the helmets of other drivers she had received over the years. She had proudly shown them off in a livestream after someone asked about the drivers she had swapped helmets with, even admitting she had to buy several extra shelves to store all of them.
''I was told, I'll do my best.'' Kimi laughed, recalling someone from the Alfa Romeo team telling him about the driver's special collection as soon as he informed them about his desire to swap helmets with her.

They mumbled a ''thank you'' towards each other as they handed one another their helmets, reading the messages with soft smiles on their faces. The pair posed for a picture together, their own respective team's photographers and Kimi's wife, Minttu, snapping a photo of them.
''I'm gonna miss your silence.'' Y/N chuckled, causing others to do so as well.
''I will miss your loudness.'' Kimi retorted, having everyone laugh even harder at his blunt and witty response.
The Finn reached out to her with his free arm, initiating a hug with the young woman. She was caught off guard. The man had never offered her an embrace before- their physical interactions only going as far as a fistbump.
She accepted, wrapping her own free arm briefly around him and resting her hand on his back. Kimi patted her own back a few times.
The pair pulled back, satisfied smiles on both their faces. The Alfa Romeo driver crouched down next to his daughter. ''We will see her soon, okay?'' He reassured Rianna, who didn't take her eyes off the female driver as she absentmindedly nodded to what her father was saying.
''You can visit me and we can eat a lot of food together.'' Y/N told the small girl. Rianna smiled brightly at her words, nodding her head.
''Say bye bye to Y/N.'' Kimi whispered to her.
Rianna stepped out of her father's arms. ''Bye bye, Y/N.'' The little girl skipped over to her, jumping into the older woman's embrace. ''Bye bye.'' Y/N kissed the side of Rianna's head, touched by the youngest Raikkonen's love.
As the girls pulled apart, Kimi picked his daughter up- facing his, now, former competitor. ''Have a safe trip home, okay?''
Y/N nodded, appreciating his concern. ''You guys too.''
Minttu stepped forward, also offering the woman a hug. ''We wish you the best next season. We'll continue to root for you.'' She smiled, stating her support for the female driver.
''Thank you so much, and have a nice Christmas together.'' Y/N said to her, appreciating that their family would continue rooting for her. She also high-fived a shy looking Robin who clinged to his mother.
''We'll call, okay?'' Kimi mimicked a phone with his hand, looking at her. She nodded her head, delighted the man wanted to continue having contact with her.

A fellow Tiefling Hellrider, Tilses, is with him in the caves acting as his bodyguard. He sometimes calls her Tilly.
There is one bedroll in the caves shoved off in the far corner with a book titled "The Devil You Know: An Autobiography" - not sure if it's his personal writing or if he's reading it, either way it adds to the flavor of his of his tiefling pride (and/or anguish).

It is not as if we were well-loved before the archdevil's gambit. Our people have always struggled against the notion of 'devilkin', as if a single drop of infernal ichor inescapably corrupts. How amusing, when so many others willingly sell their souls to fiends, yet their culture as a whole escapes the blame.
By what method can we redeem ourselves, when the crime is not ours? I would drive a blade into every warlock that aided Asmodeus' damned ritual, but personal vengeance cannot undo the will of a god, much less one as slippery as the Lord of Lies.
When every passerby thinks you a thief and heretic, it is deeply tempting to become one. (cut off) The only thing that has stopped me is knowing Asmodeus wants nothing more than for all of us to fall from grace.
Around the his table are Invasion Plans for Elturgard, Traveler's Guide to Baldur's Gate, Traveler's Guide to the Sword Coast Vol IV: The Risen Road (which aligns when he tells you earlier there are gnolls on the road), and "Front and Center: a Thespian's Memoir" that reads:

After saving Zevlor, I forced myself to pick the "mean" options just to see how it goes.
If you tell him its his fault tieflings were imprisoned in moonrise, he says:
If you tell him "Do yo have a right to ask?" when he asks about the tieflings:
He doesn't argue with any of your remarks except one, when he says "For a moment I welcomed it" and you tell him "For a moment until you realized your reward would be a tadpole" he corrects you:
If you tell him if he wanted power he should live up to his own ideal:

When you tell him it's not his fault he was enthralled:
If you tell him "Fine. Good luck, Zevlor."

At the Netherbrain:

I know it's a Soldier thing to be proud to die for a cause but it still makes me worry for him given his background so far <:]

I don't know if there are other permutations of this letter, yet, but this is what I received:
I hope my penmanship has improved somewhat in the past months. When I first stumbled into this city, I shook so badly that I could scarcely hold the soup the priests pressed into my hands - let alone write and thank you as you deserve.
It is only when the city itself began to shake that I felt my hands grow still. Along with the other veterans sheltering at the temple - discards of Elturel's 'unworthy' legions - I watched that monstrosity rise over the city. We felt no fear. Only anger. Disgust. Purpose - and with it, power.
I do not know what oath we cling to now, or how long it will last - but we shall use it to ensure that this city will not suffer as Elturel did. Whether it wants us or not.
It is more than thanks alone I owe. No words can make amends for what I did to my people, but that is as it should be. More come to the temple every day to aid in the relief efforts, and if I am permitted to work alongside them, then I am content.

It's interesting — if not bitterswet, tragic, and inspiring — to hear that Zevlor and other Paladins regained their Oaths via pure, stubborn devotion to saving people when it began to look as bad as Elturel.

♪ Rosie is definitely a lot more physically involved with you; hugging you, holding your hand, kissing you; the list goes on honestly
♪ i think Alastor would be a lot more inclined to be physically intimate in a relationship despite what many people might think; he definitely wouldn't be like Rosie but kisses and a hand on your waist definitely; usually his way of expressing love is words of affirmation.
♪ have at least once tried to convince you to try demon meat; if you actually like it they'll be so happy but if it's not your thing they'll whine and compromise
♪ Rosie is constantly asking you to dance with her; and You and Alastor often sing n hum to the music that plays on his radio

♪ both whine and rant about their respective enemies and the people they don't like, fucking Susan and then pout while leaning into you, waiting for your affection
♪ absolutely desperate for your attention; sometimes they playfully (or not so playfully) fight over it

♪ they also shower you with gifts, you had to tell Rosie that boxes of pinky fingers isnt your thing and you had to tell Alastor that leaving the Head of the person you complained about the other day wasn't something you wanted to wake up with
