on the right is mela, and on the left is pera!

artist ramble under the cut

mela is italian for apple, and pera is pear :]

i thought of mela first, and for a while mela was mario and peach’s only child, but i also really like the idea of them having twins so uh. two of them

and originally the thought process was really just ‘italian fruit’ to be a combination of both naming conventions but it also turned out to also be a (typically) red fruit starting with the letter m

for pera i was in between that and some variant of arancio (orange) bc haha jjba moment and both are also sort of paired with apples but!! pears are typically green and coincidentally it started with a p so i had to roll with it

a headcanon of mine is that it’s traditional for sibling pairs in the mushroom world to wear some shade of red for the eldest, and green for the youngest. i think my mario is semi isekai (born in the mushroom world, sent to earth post PiT, returns for smb) so those are why mario and luigi grew up with the colors, but it also happens to be their favorite colors

i tried to adhere to it here with a lime green and magenta :]

they have earrings solely bc i had my ears pierced as a baby ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ no other reason

Edit since a lot of people seem confused - your "real" name is the name that you want to be referred to in real life. It doesn't have to be your legal name. So if you're trans and you have a different name to whats on your birth certificate, even if not many people call you by the name, it still counts as your real name.

The Marvels was a great time. It was colorful and fun and had really lovely moments of depth and character growth.

If you didn’t like The Marvels bc it’s style just wasn’t your cup of tea kind of movie then valid.

But if you’re one of those “this is the worst MCU movie ever it completely sucked” film guys…

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O

unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!

my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not
