Summary: A S7 fix-it in which Emily's trauma is acknowledged and Hotch doesn't want to take her for granted again. (A friends-to-lovers slow-ish burn that also deals with Emily's relationships with the rest of the team, but is decidedly Hotchniss in nature.)
Chapter Excerpt:
“Maybe we could just take it in turns – one of us stands in the doorway for a couple of hours while the other takes a nap in this little sliver of hallway light.”
He shoots her an amused look and keeps digging. “I never take it out – I’m sure it’s. . . Got it.” He holds it up and clicks it on triumphantly, creating a little beam of light and pointing it experimentally around the room.
“Well, aren’t you prepared for anything,” she says, impressed. “What else have you got in your bag of tricks?”
“Granola bars,” he replies, producing a pack and holding them up in his other hand. “You want one?”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.”

This can work for sub/dom or alpha/omega vibes, hell anything in this dynamic, but I love the thought of a marriage necklace.
Choker or a regular necklace. One that sits a little be between where the collarbones join and the sternum beginning.
The idea that I might not give Bucky and Tony traditional rings in my AU would either be this, a marriage necklace or a ring that isn't traditionally seen as a wedding ring. It would be them (also because I would like a marriage necklace more than a ring, the practicality of it all too).
Tony has a deep red to blue star pendant on his necklace, with engravings on the edges that is gold. Bucky with the same one, and reflects under it is an Aquamarine under it, reflecting brightly or looking purple depending on the color of the star.
Or, their rings would be an emerald encrusted by aquamarine and aquamarine surrounded by emerald for their respective rings. A sort of non-verbal oath. The metal is a little bit of the Ironman and one of Bucky's arm (post-damage and fixed), melted down and joined.
Ugh. Gonna draw Tony and Bucky with their marriage necklaces later on.
