STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES
season one | episode twenty-five; the devil in the dark
Mister Spock, you are second in command. This will be a dangerous hunt. Either one of us by himself is expendable. Both of us are not. Captain, there are approximately one hundred of us engaged in this search, against one creature. The odds against you and I both being killed are 2,228.7 to 1. 2,228.7 to 1? Those are pretty good odds, Mister Spock. And they are of course accurate, Captain. Of course. Well, I hate to use the word, but logically, with those kind of odds, you might as well stay.

amanda's comment in journey to babel 'i'm afraid you couldn't pronounce the vulcan name' would annoy jim SO much, he'd find out the correct pronunciation of spock's full name and practice until he got it right and one day they'd be playing chess in comfortable silence when jim out of nowhere slowly says "s'chn t'gai spock" and spock's hand just freezes mid move

Headcanon that the reason, in star trek s1 ep24 This side of paradise, that Kirk wasn't affected easily by the spores was because he was so upset at seeing Spock being all lovey dovey with someone that wasn't him that the intensity of his jealousy, similar to how the rage thing worked, killed the spores...
Or whatever I wasn't really paying attention to how they got their heads screwed back on. All I know is punch slap and they came right back.
