Ryuji definitely finds Conventionally Attractive Girls pretty, but he realizes around postgame that he genuinely formed crushes on THREE people; Akira, Makoto, and Goro. And all three of them are people who carry themselves as a bit Soft and Delicate (akira and makoto w their personality and mannerisms, goro w his appearance) while also being deceptively strong. Yusuke WOULD fit into this but hes only strong in the metaverse. Also if u tried to argue that he still finds yusuke pretty, Ryuji would just say ‘yeah duh? Of course???’ and would not elaborate further.

I just think. Its cute 👉🏾👈🏾 Ryuji loves someone whos pretty and capable of knocking him flat on his ass lmao He LOVES a challenge and he likes that they can all challenge him in different ways.

Akira is way stronger than he looks; hes very toned and he used to be quite active before being shipped off to tokyo. And after fighting in the metaverse, hes gotten way better at using an enemies mass and momentum against them. Yeah he can properly knock someone down, but its way easier to let Ryuji charge him and use that momentum to sweep and pin. Which Ryuji remembers vividly for Weeks. Akira is not allowed to spar w him and Makoto for awhile after that.

Makoto is just strong as hell. But shes very defensive, and extremely patient. ‘Ill wait and see before I decide What to do’. Shes got good reaction timing and its hard to catch her offguard. Its very difficult to disorient her so oftentimes, his spars w her are more about endurance. And if he ASKS her to do so, she’ll actually fight him back. He never wins 😭 but she is very patient w him and she doesnt treat him like an idiot. She likes to give him tips and redirect his strengths to make up for his weaknesses and it makes him a bit warm in this chest

Spars w Goro are just fun. Theyre fun! Goro is way more aggressive and reckless than Makoto and Akira. He is looking for openings near constantly and Ryuji has to either keep up or tank hits. Its very. Engaging. For him. Sometimes he loses and Goro is giving him a look so smug, Ryuji wishes he could kick him in his fucking teeth (something he clearly couldnt do bc hes already been knocked flat on his ass). And sometimes he wins, and hes so shocked and HAPPY about it; he doesnt miss the way Goro looks away from him pouting like a brat (‘no fucking way are u POUTING man, what a sore loser 😭’). Goro and his uptight personality is thrown out the window completely and its so fun and refreshing to see. Hes tall and imposing w broad shoulders and toned arms and if Ryuji is staring, he finds himself immediately distracted when Goros cheerful, softspoken voice asks if hes willing to go another round.

I love it 👉🏾👈🏾 Ryujis got a complicated relationship w violence but it helps to have people he trusts engage with it in a way that doesnt make him feel like some brute. Theyre all kind of itching to beat the shit out of things for multiple reasons, but instead of taking that out on each other, they spend time training one another so that they can beat the shit out of OTHER things better. Its an efficient system 😊

“Are we gonna talk about it?”

“I wasnt really asking”

Jason finally lowered his book to look at Tim, mildly annoyed, and eyed his brother. “What is there to talk about?” he sighed, as if Tim where asking about the wether. The younger man made a strangled sound and crossed his arms, coming though the doorway he’d been standing in. “You send one of Gothems most infomous criminals to meet me in civi’s and you ask ‘whats there to talk about’!?” He was so exasperated, he barely caught the amused glint in Jasons eye as he shrugged, properly putting his book down to sit up.

When Jason didn't respond past the shift in position, Tim began paceing. “I mean, send him to Red Robin, that would be one thing but- In the middle of the day!?” He turned to face him harshly, though his movement didnt stop. “What where you thinking!?”

Jason did actually chuckle this time, leaning on his knees as he sat. “I was thinking you said you needed a job done and I said I know a guy. Thats my guy.” The way he said it made it sound obvious, which just pissed Tim off more. Sure, maybe it was if he’d asked Red Hood about it! But he hadn't asked Red Hood. he’d asked Jason. Maybe he knew someone in the company who’d do some digging or a good PI!

He just huffed, finally stopping his relentless pacing to glower daggers at his brother. The elder looked at him with vaughly more sympathy but still far to amused. “Look, Phantoms good at what he dose and I sent him because he’s trust worthy. More than most in his line of work.”

Jason seemed to be about to say something more when Tims phone bliped. He glanced at it, then double took. “Jesus.�� he muttered, re-reading it again. When Jason motioned for contexed, Tim blinked at him. “He's working as my P.A for cover.” Jason made a face, something between confusion, amusement and a little offence. Tim didn't acknowledge it. “Yesterday he got sent three different patents to proof read and file. He’s done.”

It had taken Tims last P.A a week to read over and submit one. Not to mention, and this is what really had Tim annoyed, it had been less that a week and his schedule had never been cleaner! Taxis where where he needed them, restaurants where booked and payed, even that one time he’d messiged Phantom he needed it done two minutes before he walked into the place. The worst part was smug bastered made a point of bringing him his coffe order ever morning! Exactly right. Every time.

Jason sat up and leaned back. “See? Now go put on your fancy suit, run your company and let Phantom do his Job. ” He picked up his book and Tim sighed.

That was the problem being in a family of vigilanties used to police. He could grill Jason for hours and not come away with any more than he already knew, if his brother didn't feel like answering. Atleast, he sounded genuin when he said Phantom was trust worthy.

That wasn't enough to make Tim buy in completely, but it quelled his fears that the man would cause any real trouble.

you are sort of right yes!!! with the whole imprisonment thing! let me give a bit more backstory first so things make sense :

since the circus bunch lives in hyrule while the whole ganondorf apocalypse thing is happening, pipimi is sort of their mini savior! since the link of this world is too far away to help them and too busy in the main areas of hyrule.

they r far enough away from the inner sections of hyrule to where they arent entirely affected by the main stuff everyone else is (dangerous monsters, plague spread, malice growth) but they arent immune from it. the malice (and malice in this au grows like crystals, large fleshy red crystals that bleed!) would bleed and seep into the waterways and possibly run down rivers their way, infecting their water.

so its sort of like The Plague (the fossils plague to be exact, a plague created by ganondorf that slowly turns the host into a stone statue) but worse, like a parasitic bug in ur brain almost!

halimaw got infected by the malice-water and started becoming brash and killing coworkers and visitors, and demanded to anyone he could not immediately kill that they bring him to ganondorf so he can 'serve his leader'. they could Not let this guy roam free of course. hes ruining business! so sirko compromised with him, occasionally feeding him a random visitor to the circus so that he stays in the basement. halimaw's agreement to this compromise allowed them to lock him on the basement for good, unbeknownst to him.

so thats the majority of how halimaw got thrown into the basement ! he doesnt stay there forever of course, and he does get justice, but not without sacrifice! :3

the main plotline (the mission to kill ganondorf) goes on long enough to where others in the circus start to become sick, showing early signs of the infection that halimaw currently inhibits.

this is quite literally right before vahlu (this au's link) slays ganondorf though, so when pipimi finally finds out its the water supply thats making everyone crazy and ill, everyone praises her for finding the problem and being the one to help vanquish it ; when in reality, the malice just sort of. dissipated because ganondorf was no longer living.

(and yes, i did add that little last part for yuri purposes .. holiday gets sick and pipimi blames herself .. after all, everything was just fine before she arrived. whys suddenly everything going wrong? :] )

maybe a weird question but ive been wondering this for a while and i kinda wanna hear ur opinion, would u still consider it hetbending if i headcanon natsume as a trans man and tsmg as a trans woman and ship them like this? cuz those are my hcs and sometimes i wonder if its like problematic?? waaa ur fine no worries!! i dont mind answering questions like these at all!!

i guess its sorta nuanced? i suppose by definition it would be considered hetbending, esp if one has an altered appearance to suit the assigned gender. but then theres also the headcanon aspect of it. since it is a headcanon that would make these genders be how you view the characters in their source, rather than altering them for ur own silly amusement

since these things are so nuanced i personally tend to tackle it from a portrayal point of view. Have i altered these characters to make one look like a man and the other a woman? if so, id say it should be tagged and considered as hetbend even if both or one party is trans and their sexualities are bisexual, because the point of tags such as "hetbend" or "genderbend" are so people who dont wish to see their favorite characters altered in these ways dont have to see it. these tags are used out of courtesy! Now, if you've taken the characters and headcanon one as a man and the other a woman but there have been no altercations and they look the exact same except for some pronouns and maybe some clothes change then id say it doesnt need the hetbend tag, as clothes do not have a gender and you can go by whichever pronouns you want while being a gender that said pronouns arent commonly applied to

Basically; if the appearances are altered it should be tagged accordingly out of care and consideration for those who dont wish to see that sort of thing for whatever reason. i dont get why people act like theres some morality thing at stake for tagging things like genderbend? trans or cis, the character looks different now which may be upsetting to some, so tag it!!! we're all just here to have fun!!!!

i also want to say enjoying or creating "hetbends" does not make you a bad person nor are you erasing queer rep, especially if you are keeping their queerness!! the original characters will remain the same no matter how much we may alter their gender and appearances in our niche circles, and there will always be a VAST majority of people representing the canon, so really theres no need to worry about wishing to indulge in the things that make you happy. none of us wish to hurt people with what we create!! and that is the REASON its tagged accordingly to begin with. So again; if you feel you have altered the characters to a point where some may be uncomfortable PLEASE tag it. and if there are things that make YOU uncomfortable PLEASE MUTE IT!! we tag things FOR YOU!!!!

im so brain fogged but staying cozy cause its been storming all morning and thats my shit right there but,

nancy loves her son. she does. literally is the only human out there that she ( and i ) could honestly say that theres something true and real in regards to those feelings, that for her falls very much flat with literally anybody else. she chose johnny, specifically, carefully, and she very much believes that given how things fell so easily into her palms when she had grown close to his birth mother all those years ago and eventually got her hands on baby johnny, it was fate in a sense. it was meant to happen how it did.

but by no means whatsoever does that mean nancy was particularly all that good of a mother, of a nurturing parent. did she have a mostly-positive experience raising him? yes. because he was a good boy. he listened. he did as he was told, when he was told. hardly gave her trouble, hardly acted out. he was overwhelmingly the good in their bond.

nancy, in the other hand, couldnt always keep up facade of being warm all the time, pleasant, nuturing. its not in her nature, it doesn't come easy or true most of the time - i could argue that perhaps outside of johnny theres been one or two very strong bonds with a partner or even someone she couldve considered an actual friend at some point. but otherwise? its all a series of masks she dons, roles to play, people to fool. to string along. manipulate.

and sadly, not even johnny was immune to that as a kid.
