RWRB Essay Part Six: Keeping It Light
Word Count: 719
I've definitely seen some people upset that the leak wasn't played as big of a deal as it was in the book. I think this change is tied to the role of Miguel filling in for Richards, and I believe it's intentionally not as intense as the book.
They have made it clear that the movie's goal is lift people's spirits, to give them hope and courage for the future, to make them feel seen, and bring joy.
The side plot of Ellen's competitor legitimately stalking her son and setting him up is fucking horrible to say in the least. That part of the book is the heaviest of the despair and public humiliation that hits them.
While it's important to the plot that the emails get leaked, I think Matthew made a point of skipping around it a little because it would've brought the entire tone of the movie down to a truly depressing state. It's heartbreaking to read, and probably would've been absolutely devastating to watch, and while there's angst, Alex and Henry's story is meant to be a happy one, an inspiring one. They would not have had the time to properly engage with that level of angst and then get out of it without the viewer getting whiplash.
I think that's probably also why the conversation with the king was far shorter than the conversation with the queen in the book. With the goal being to make people happy, spending too long on the seriously negative parts of the narrative would have been problematic and counterproductive. Like I said in part two of this essay, Casey had all the time in the world to set that up and drop that bomb on the reader, and then all the time in the world to get Alex and Henry to climb out of the hole they'd fallen into.
The movie doesn't remove all the angst and heartbreak, but it does its best not to pull the viewer out of the fantasy. When something on screen hits too close to reality, when it's not supposed to, it can ruin the movie experience.
I just watched Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade the other day, and legitimately had myself yanked painfully back into reality with the Nazi scenes, specifically the book burning one. That movie takes place in the past, the idea being that things aren't like that anymore, but with the way things have been going in America, and specifically in the state of Florida, where I live, it was too much. It used to be ridiculous to watch historical fiction where Nazi's hung swastikas everywhere and burned books, but now I see pictures of modern day swastikas being worn and flown and it crushed me. I couldn't enjoy the rest of the movie, despite it obviously being a piece of action/historical fiction about the Holy Grail, not actually about WWII.
I think it's also why they removed the Luna and Richards plotline, because an older Republican politician using their position to take advantage of young girls and boys is very, very dark. It's too close to what we hear coming out of the news every day.
I can also see this being the reason they decided to keep Ellen and Oscar together in this version. The book has the time to go into how their divorce both negatively and positively effected their family dynamic.
I saw someone complaining that Oscar talking about his and Ellen's relationship being a risk didn't work because they were still together, and the conversation in the book is to make Alex realize that it's worth it even if it doesn't work.
Yes, that's the point in the book. That is not the goal in the movie.
Again, they wanted this to be a fantasy romance that uplifted everyone. Approaching that decision with the more pessimistic idea that they probably wouldn't work paints a different mood than the hope his parents being together gives Alex for him and Henry. These are two entirely different approaches! It's intentional!
If Red, White, & Royal Blue had done more with those parts of the book, it very likely would have pulled the viewer out of the immersion and remind them of the depressing realities of real life, which is not the goal.

Okay after looking up my favorite tweet of all time (a tweet from the official account of my favorite band, The Mountain Goats), I remembered how the twitter bot that posts lyrics from Mountain Goats songs got shadowbanned for tweeting the lyrics "I'm gonna bribe the officials/I'm gonna kill all the judges" and I wanted to look that up too.
And I've stumbled into QUITE the saga here that really I should have expected from a bot that tweets Mountain Goats song lyrics. here are some highlights.
(Links to tweets in alt.)
First off, apparently someone reported the bot for its concerning lyrics, which is funny on its own, but the response from the person who wrote those concerning lyrics really kicks it up a notch.
Tumblr media
[Image description: A tweet from mountain goats bot reading “twitter noooooo” and a crying emoji, followed by a screenshot of a Twitter Safety Notification that reads "Hello mountain goats bot, We're writing to you because a concerned individual has recently alerted us to potentially suicidal or self-harming comments posted on your account. In difficult times and when you need someone to talk to, it may help to speak to professionals who can assist you in coping with your current circumstances." There is a replied tweet from The Mountain Goats reading "looooool". End description.]
And then there are a few....poorly timed tweets with shocking prescient lyrics around the time of the January 6 insurrection.
Tumblr media
[Image description: A retweet from mountain goats bot. The original tweet is also from mountain goats bot and reads "I hope it stays dark forever I hope the worst isn't over". The retweet reads "I'M SORRY" in all capital letters. Both the original tweet and the retweet are dated January 6, 2021. End description.]
Tumblr media
[Image description: A tweet from mountain goats bot reading "It's gonna take you people years to recover from all of the damage". The tweet is dated January 7, 2021. End description.]
And finally, the saga of the bot getting locked for tweeting a lyric from the song "Up the Wolves". A lyric that it apparently tweeted plenty of times before without getting in trouble for. I wonder if the timing of the leaked decision that overturned Roe v. Wade had anything to do with it...
Tumblr media
(Note: the twitter account em (holland1945) is the creator of the mountain goats bot.)
[Image description: A tweet from em reading “tmgbot has tweeted this line dozens of times. wonder why twitter would suddenly be extra concerned about defending the poor little judges" followed by a screenshot of an email from Twitter. The email reads "Hi mountain goats bot, your account @tmgbot has been locked for violating the Twitter Rules. Specifically for: Violating our rules against abuse and harassment. You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. This includes wishing or hoping that someone experiences physical harm." The email screenshot includes a screenshot of a tweet from mountain goats bot reading "I'm gonna bribe the officials I'm gonna kill all the judges It's gonna take you people years to recover from all of the damage". The tweet from em is dated May 6, 2022. End description.]
Tumblr media
[Image description: A tweet from mountain goats bot reading "hey just a reminder this bot is not sentient and definitely DOESN’T encourage the killing of judges!" followed by an emoji of a red heart. The tweet includes a picture of a cat. Imposed over the picture are the addresses of the six US Supreme Court judges that overturned Roe v. Wade. End description.]
Anyways, go listen to The Mountain Goats.

#personal
For however long I've written here week to week, Tumblr has really been the most cohesive narrative I control. I've written some pretty crazy shit here describing my surroundings. And I have no real reason to lie or be anything other than transparent. And while the things I've written about only seem to get worse, there's always someone here to listen. I had my social media disrupted pretty hard along with my entire life. But I quit twitter awhile before I lost access to the emails tied to them due to my job shuttering the accounts. I was pretty prolific on twitter back in the day but I never really connected with people in a satisfying way. I was never verified or authentic on paper. I have a hard enough time selling my resume these days. I log onto Facebook only because I salvaged it from being locked forever along with instagram. But I don't feel connected to anything. The people you meet on those sites are generally people you've met in real life. And most of the people in real life if not all have decided to keep their distance from me. This includes professionally, musically and artistically. Like most people are afraid of going on record about what may or may not have been unfair that happened to you. They are led so far along by the ball and string of social media interactions that they only pay attention to themselves. For however important Tumblr interactions have become for me, I have no literally clue who half of anybody is. There's no verification. There's no social transaction in which I can say to my friends that I'm talking to this specific person or not. And the relationships I have on here are far more rewarding than anything out there that has grown to disappoint me. It's a community of people for years who encourage each other to be themselves even if we're not all alike. It's not forced or contrived. It's not manipulated by some psychotic billionaire who like other people with money think they can do whatever it is they want because they have more of it. The friendships I have here you cannot buy with anything other than the person you are. The focus is on where everyone meets together. And honestly over the years, I talk to people more deeply with sharing pictures back and forth than arguing or yelling at each other. There's sort of an unspoken culture here of people who care very deeply which is drastically different from what's going on in real life. I'm an adult who writes here and have been for ages. What I observe on other platforms is a scary level of childishness that leaks into real life. When people think because they know you write on a blog they can stare at you morning after morning through a kitchen window from the train. I can understand why people here especially women want to be anonymous and safe rather than verified and quantified by some guy who just bought a social media platform to hide his connections to Ghislaine Maxwell. Purportedly. I've seen the pictures on here don't act like they don't exist.
I have grown used to a trait of American society where people punish you by pretending you don't exist. It's cult like behavior. But it's also becoming very hard to navigate around personally. I coach myself by telling myself that I am not completely invisible. Or if I am, I'm anonymous enough to talk to without hurting anybody's reputation or career. And unfortunately knowing how a large portion of American society works now, I can understand how people don't want to be so high key about who they are. And yet these platforms which are traded on the stock market with their users as the product, thrive on knowing everything about you. We've all heard the joke that Tumblr tried to sell our information but nobody wanted it. If anything we've created the culture of oversharing that nobody pays attention to. There's a bit of freedom in that if you know how to work it. I don't expect most of these people who attack me in real life because they think they know what I've said have ever sat down and read any of these three paragraphs seriously. Maybe the police have skimmed it without a warrant because they don't need one. Maybe people from my old job stalk it to figure out where I am financially so they can drive the knife in deeper. I deal with it all just the same because no matter how much of a target I've become for always being on main? Nobody really remembers my name. They just think of me as some abstraction of the guy they think they know who is part of some group they've stereotyped me into out of fear. And through that noise I get lost in all the information kind of like we all get lost in the algorithms on instagram unless we post a funny meme or the entirety of our facial jaw construction to be sold to Palantir or some other publicly traded military contractor. If what we share here is almost always looked upon as irrelevant, we fly way below the radar. I grew up and worked in an era where you were actually judged on your social media and what you posted. If someone found your instagram getting crunk at a club, this might jeopardize your employment. Now it seems that you can't get hired or acknowledged unless you've provided the appropriate social theatre. Like if I apply for a job to manage a local sushi restaurant my twenty year information technology resume may be looked over because I don't have "enough of a social media presence." I'm a cybersecurity professional. We're taught to fear oversharing in the wrong place. Or at least be accountable for it. That's authenticity. You can't buy authenticity.
I often feel outside of here and maybe when Tumblr interacts with me on Linkedin that I don't actually matter anymore. I know I do. And I'm confident enough to know exactly who I matter to and why. You know I'm always here. Tumblr is like a text message to me. I barely get text messages aside from the Singaporean lady who I'm not entirely sure is real or not. I get catfished all the time. It's pretty much like my main form of a social media. I also research protecting people from scams and traps. I've been transparent only because I want to be trusted. And I've been safe enough to be a gentleman when it comes to making people feel comfortable around me online. So much so that people are hellbent on proving me wrong in public. Which is what twitter seems to be about for me now. Some extension of the gladiator arena where you can track down people in real life for things they may have said in passing. People do the same shit to me for what I write here. But if you haven't read and processed 3000 words for the last eight years I don't really think you have a point in approaching me. And this is where social media and being high key about it starts to impact the safety in our lives. We don't always have to be up front and center. We're not all from America. For all the talk of people hiding from their governments, my government has done absolutely nothing to protect my safety, my livelihood, the privacy or integrity of my information. There's a certification for cybersecurity that puts it point blank as to what the duty of a professional in the field is to protect. The CIA triad. I know sounds dangerous. But it's three key words. Confidentiality, Integrity and accessibility. In this context, confidentiality is a set of rules that limits access to information, integrity is the assurance that the information is trustworthy and accurate, and availability is a guarantee of reliable access to the information by authorized people. Any corporation or entity out there should be concerned with understanding how these goals should impact our experiences on the internet. Our government doesn't know how to hold corporations accountable for violating these. Because our government is run and controlled by people over fifty who act like fucking toddlers when they are behind the computer. And there's a social media platform run by a billionaire who was best friends with a woman who sold minors into human trafficking. I've been on here for years. I don't have anything like that to defend other than the culture and community that has embraced me here. I don't need to be verified. I stand up front and center every morning in this kitchen and watch the rest of the world bring it to my doorstep. I know the police don't really need a warrant to read what I feel about them. But you do need reading comprehension to understand that I don't really think the law is on your side. Neither do I think being a target on social media is very fun. You can tell by how long I've been blacklisted in mainstream society. Whatever is going on out there on other parts of the internet is set up to fail. You can pay however much money you want to feel important. We've all grown to know hanging out on a dead website that you aren't shit if everyone is comparing you to us. Enjoy however much longer you have to target your competition for the sake of your investments because you are a beta male fuckboy who can't understand the price of humility. <3 Tim

For those that message me here and on discord at my actual discord account. Yes, I have been logging, archiving, and keeping track of everything you guys and gals have been sending me. Yes, I have sent it all to the person whose info they are leaking and the accounts they are stealing pictures from to post. Yes, they have given them to the authorities and yes they have stated this individual is breaking multiple laws that even his state has and have begun to look into it. He wants to thank B for sending that archive of the stalker claiming to have rolled up on his mother’s home especially other or was true or not it shows intent, a clear threat, and the true depths of psychosis this person is in. Probably was the thing that made the cops decide to look into it to.
Yes, I have also triple checked with my own attorney on the laws in my state and we are extremely confident in a case that can be brought up against not only the current stalker but even all the past ones dating as far back as the originator Raven despite them having deleted their claims and lies and asked for it all to never be brought up again.
And last, no, my posted vids and explanation the actual situations are not considered communicating with or antagonizing the stalkers. The are awareness posts and getting information that is easy to confirm through other proper searches or common sense out. The massive amounts of first time support and evidence many of you have provided from specific blogs, servers, and DMs you all have access to have also been a great help. At this point the process is likely going to going to start but giving how deranged the current stalker is, it’s also beneficial to collect more and more stuff and you guys to send it in to the email and server I’ve provided.

Last week, two of the top scientific advisors to Anthony Fauci testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, which is investigating the origins of Covid-19.
Bob Garry told members of Congress that the novel coronavirus had emerged in nature and not from a lab.
His colleague, Kristian Andersen, denounced Republicans for spreading a “conspiracy theory” that he and Garry had worked with Fauci in early 2020 to produce disinformation about Covid’s origin in the form of a March 17, 2020 Nature Medicine paper, “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2.”
That paper dismissed the lab leak theory and has been viewed nearly six million times since its publication.
Andersen, a professor at Scripps Research, acknowledged that some earlier, heavily-publicized emails between him, his colleagues and Fauci had shown that they had previously considered the lab leak hypothesis as a serious possibility.
But, Andersen told Congress, after he and his co-authors had carefully considered the evidence, they concluded that “culturing” in different cells or animal species in a lab, which can make a virus more infectious and well-adapted for humans and other animal species, had not occurred, and that the virus had spilled over from wildlife to humans.
“By the time we published our final version of Proximal Origin,” Andersen explained in his written testimony, “I no longer believed that a ‘culturing’ scenario was plausible.”
Andersen emphasized to Congress that this wasn’t because Fauci, National Institute of Health Director Francis Collins, or anyone in the White House or Intelligence Community had asked him to. The reason was simply that he and his colleagues were practicing science.
“As is almost always the case in science,” explained Andersen, “this change in belief was not based on a single piece of evidence, but a combination of many factors, including additional data, analyses, learning more about coronaviruses, and discussions with colleagues and collaborators.”
But now, Public and Racket have obtained hundreds of previously unreleased email and Slack direct messages which cover the period when Andersen and his colleagues collaborated to write “Proximal Origin.”
Those communications paint a starkly different picture from the one Andersen and Garry presented to Congress last week. They show that Andersen and his colleagues clearly thought it was indeed possible not only that the virus that causes Covid-19 had leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but specifically that it had been cultured in the laboratory.
Crucially, these new documents make clear that pressure from “higher ups” — not “additional data, analyses, learning more about coronaviruses, and discussions with colleagues and collaborators” — led Andersen, Garry, and two of their coauthors to abandon the lab leak theory as implausible.
What’s more, the messages reveal that Andersen still suspected that a lab leak was possible in mid-April, a month after Nature Medicine officially published “Proximal Origin,” and two months after the authors published a preprint.
Tumblr media
“I’m still not fully convinced that no culture was involved,” Andersen wrote to his co-authors on April 16. “We also can't fully rule out engineering (for basic research).”
If the paper’s authors weren’t fully convinced that no culturing was possible, why did they rule out “any type of laboratory-based scenario” in their paper?
On April 16, NIH Director Francis Collins emailed Fauci. “I hoped the Nature Medicine article [‘Proximal Origin’] on the genomic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 would settle this… Wondering if there is something NIH can do to help put down this very destructive conspiracy.” By “very destructive conspiracy,” Collins was referring to an accidental lab leak, not a bioweapon or deliberate release.
The next day, April 17, Fauci described the “Proximal Origin” paper at a White House press briefing and said it came from a “group of highly qualified evolutionary virologists,” adding that he did not have their names and without disclosing that he had suggested writing the paper.
Now, the newly released messages show another case of the scientists manipulating a reporter, New York Times science journalist, Donald McNeil. Rather than honestly and openly answering his questions, they misdirected him through deceptive language.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Late last month, Congress released emails showing another senior advisor to Fauci talking about using his private Gmail account in order to avoid investigators in the future using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or Congressional subpoena to obtain his emails.
The newly released messages show Andersen attempting to similarly evade public scrutiny. “We should all just stay on Slack, that’s what we should do — and not use email,” wrote Andersen.
If the consensus opinion of the scientists across dozens of their initial emails and messages had to be summarized in a single phrase, it would be the name of the Slack channel: “project-wuhan_engineering.” The name showed just how probable they felt it was that the virus came from a lab.
Then, on February 6, something strange happened. Andersen changed the name of the Slack channel from “project-wuhan_engineering” to “project-wuhan_pangolin.” For three years, some proponents of the natural spillover theory have claimed that pangolins could be an intermediate link in the transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
Tumblr media
Wrote Andersen on February 1, 2020, “I think the main thing still in my mind is that the lab escape version of this is so friggin' likely to have happened because they were already doing this type of work and the molecular data is fully consistent with that scenario.” A few days later, he and the other authors were searching for a plausible intermediate host such as a pangolin that would allow them to refute the theory.
Tumblr media
The new Slacks and emails present overwhelming evidence that the paper’s co-authors were not simply following the data, but actively sought to discredit the lab leak, conceal information, deceive journalists, and mislead the public. The question now is why.
From “Project-Wuhan_Engineering” to “Project-Wuhan_Pangolin”
Only a tiny fraction of the communications between Andersen and his coauthors has been reported upon before now. Drawing on the newly released messages, Public has cataloged nearly 60 clear statements by Andersen and his colleagues expressing their belief that a lab leak, and the bioengineering of viruses, were the origin of Covid-19 between January 31 and February 28, 2020. Of those statements, only around a half-dozen have been previously reported upon.
In early February, Andersen and the other “Proximal Origin” authors agreed that the features they observed in SARS-CoV-2 exhibited exactly the steps they would have taken if they themselves had decided to engineer an infectious SARS-like coronavirus. The virus’ characteristics were “exactly what was expected by engineering,” wrote Edward Holmes on Slack on February 1.
A key piece of evidence that the virus may have been engineered is the “furin cleavage site” on the “spike protein.” The special feature allows SARS-CoV-2 to bind to human receptor sites, making the virus highly infectious.
In reference to it, Holmes said, “Bob [Garry] said the insertion was the 1st thing he would add.”
“Yeah,” agreed Andersen, “the furin site would be the first thing to add for sure.”
Garry explained how easy it would be to engineer the virus. “Transmitting a bat virus like RatG13 in HeLa cells and then asking your graduate student to insert a furin site…” he wrote. “It’s not crackpot to suggest this could have happened given the GoF [gain of function] research [which increases infectiousness] we know is happening.”
Tumblr media
“Bottom line,” said Andersen on February 2, “is that we can’t prove whether this is natural or escape.”
The newly revealed messages also show the scientists were specifically concerned with highly controversial research in the lab of a virologist named Shi Zhengli at the Wuhan Institute of Virology to make SARS-like coronaviruses to make them more infectious.
Public and Racket were the first to report last month that senior officials in the US government are “100%” confident that the first three people in the world to get sick with Covid-19 worked in Shi’s lab.
Referring to papers published by Shi’s team, and others, Andersen wrote on February 2, “The main concern coming up reading through all these papers is the kind of stuff that is being done — getting MERS-like viruses to infect humans, getting SARS-like viruses to cause disease in mice and infect humans, etc. There's a strong focus on the spike protein for all that work.”
Tumblr media
But then, three days later, on February 5, Andersen’s attitude changed radically.
In Congress, Andersen claimed he had changed his mind based on the scientific evidence that an intermediary animal host, such as a pangolin, was possible.
But their internal communications indicate otherwise.
On February 3, the group began casually searching for an intermediate animal species to support a natural spillover hypothesis. At first, they discussed the ferret. Were they working with the best available science? Perhaps not. Gary at one point shared the Wikipedia page of the Chinese ferret-badger.
Tumblr media
Two days later, Andersen shared pangolin viral sequences, began framing natural origin as the pre-conceived conclusion of their paper, and renamed the Slack channel. He thought the pangolin sequences might be the missing link they were desperately looking for.
But the pangolin sequences didn’t get them very far. On February 12, four days before Nature Medicine published “Proximal Origin, Andersen confessed on Slack: “For all I know, people could have infected the pangolin, not the other way.”
But in Proximal Origin, Andersen and his colleagues wrote something much more definitive: “The presence in pangolins of an RBD [receptor binding domain] very similar to that of SARS-CoV-2 means that we can infer this was also probably in the virus that jumped to humans” [emphasis added].
Then, on February 18, two days after the pre-print publication of “Proximal Origin,” Andersen once again admitted, “Clearly none of these pangolin sequences was the source though.” And then once again, on February 20, Andersen emphasized. “Unfortunately the pangolins don’t help clarify the story.”
Andersen’s colleague, Garry, agreed. “Pangolin seq give no def answer,” he wrote on Slack on February 22.
Unable to credibly identify ferrets or pangolins as intermediate hosts, the scientists continued to privately admit that they could not rule out a lab leak.
On April 16, two months after the publication of the “Proximal Origin” preprint, Andersen shared cell culturing papers from Shi’s lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology on Slack. He noted that Shi’s work was “the main reason I have been so concerned about the ‘culture’ scenario.”
Cell culturing is a method through which viruses can be passed multiple times through cells in order to render them more infectious, essentially re-creating the natural selection process in a lab. This method falls within the “laboratory-based scenarios” that the highly-cited “Proximal Origin” paper claimed to rule out.
Just one week later, on Twitter, though, Holmes disparaged “lab escape conspiracy theories.” Privately, the scientists were still asking questions, but publicly they were sticking to the narrative.
What happened in the days preceding February 5, when Andersen changed the name of the “Proximal Origin” team’s Slack channel from “project-wuhan_engineering” to “project-wuhan_pangolin”?
One clue comes from what has already been reported: Andersen and his co-authors had a February 1 conference call with Fauci and Collins who used the opportunity to “prompt” them to write the “Proximal Origin” paper.
The new messages reveal an additional clue. On February 3, Andersen attended a meeting arranged by Fauci at the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), the august science advisory organization created by Congress in 1863 to be scrupulously independent and above politics.
Tumblr media
The Academy meeting on February 3 occurred directly before Andersen, and others changed their tune for plainly non-scientific and apparently political reasons. Other attendees at the February 3 meeting included Collins and representatives from the FBI and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
One of the new messages shows that Andersen was anxious about his association with the Academy. “One main problem I have too,” he wrote on February 19, is that my name is on e.g., the NASEM letter and other 'official' things looking at this - so I need to be able to deflect potential future enquiries that could directly involve/name me.”
The context for Andersen writing that message was a discussion with his colleagues about how to misdirect a New York Times reporter, Don McNeil, who was asking tough questions about whether Covid-19 may have come from a lab.
On February 6, Rambaut shared an email from McNeil with the Slack channel. Rambaut’s copied text of McNeil’s email stated, “I'm trying to check out a rumor that an editor got from a government source — that the US government is trying to seriously investigate the possibility that the nCoV came out of the Wuhan Virus Laboratory rather than out of a wet market.”
Rather than answer honestly, Rambaut and the other authors began working to misdirect McNeil. Their discussions seemed more characteristic of a political spin operation than a good-faith attempt to inform the public. “I am thinking of just replying and saying that ‘I see nothing in the genome that would make me believe it has been genetically manipulated in a lab.’”
“It would be prudent to continue to pre-think responses” to McNeil, Garry suggested.
Eleven days later, the Slack group continued to coordinate their responses to McNeil. Kristian Andersen shared a new email, saying, “He's asking some very difficult to handle questions.”
In his drafted response to McNeil that he shared with the Slack Channel, Andersen wrote, “National security? White House? Spooks? I wish my life was that exciting, but I unfortunately don't have anything to add here - my existence isn't really in Technicolor, so I'm just focused on the science ;-).”
Tumblr media
Privately, Andersen told his fellow authors that the smiley face was “very deliberate” and that his reply “includes humor to deflect from the fact that I’m dismissing him. He added, “I really fucking wished my life wasn't this exciting... “
In a comment to Public and Racket, McNeil declined to comment on the contents of the emails but wrote, “Obviously, if one of the authors of the Proximal Origins paper had told me he thought it was actually created in a lab, I would have reported that.”
Who Were The “Higher Ups”?
The new emails and messages do not prove that Fauci, Collins, the FBI, ODNI, or anyone else associated with the National Academy meeting on February 3 turned Andersen and his colleagues away from the lab leak theory. Other factors may have been at play.
For example, the new messages show that a Nature Medicine editor and Nature Medicine reviewers pushed Andersen and the other authors to even more conclusively assert that natural origin was the only plausible scenario. They and others may have leaned on Andersen and the four other scientists to categorically abandon the lab leak theory.
But the messages and emails plainly show that what Andersen and his colleagues were doing wasn’t science but rather rhetoric. By their own account, they could not show how the virus had gone from bats to an intermediary, whether ferrets or pangolins, to humans.
The new messages also show that the scientists were pressured to publicize their findings by certain interested parties whom they called “higher-ups.” Andersen said the “Proximal Origins” paper was rushed because of “pressure from the higher-ups to get it out.”
Tumblr media
Later, in an interview with a Congressional committee, when asked who these “higher-ups” were, Garry said, “I don't want to speculate on who their higher-ups were. But, I mean, I was aware that there were people that were discussing the potential origins and, you know, a possible lab origin at, you know, different government agencies.”
One possibility was the top ally to Fauci and Collins in Britain, Jeremy Farrar of Wellcome Trust. On February 16, the day Nature Medicine published “Proximal Origins,” Farrar emailed one of Andersen’s coauthors, Andrew Holmes, asking him to make the paper public.
Farrar had already shared the paper with Collins, who had also emailed Holmes to push for immediate publication. A few hours later, Holmes wrote that he had submitted the paper after “pressure from on high.” Said Holmes, “Jeremy Farrar and Francis Collins are very happy.”
In a recently released interview with the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Andersen called Farrar the paper’s “father figure” but repeatedly denied that Fauci and Collins guided the paper and would not identify them as “higher ups”
“I wouldn't speculate on that,” Andersen said during the interview.
But then Andersen added that there were, indeed, “higher-ups,” and that they were “in the intelligence community both here and in the United Kingdom.” It is such a remarkable passage that it is worth quoting at length.
“I mean,”  said Andersen to the House Subcommittee, “it was clear that the White House Office of Science Technology Policy at that February 3rd conference call, Dr. Fauci, in my initial email to me, talked about contacting the intelligence community both here and in the United Kingdom. So that's what my assumption is, that when we're talking the higher-ups here, the White House was aware of this.”
While we still don’t know if those referred to as “on high” or “higher ups” are Fauci, Collins, Farrar, the White House, or the intelligence agencies, it’s clear that the authors were not operating independently. The paper they ultimately wrote was not just the product of a scientific inquiry but also of outside influence. What the nature of that influence is, we still do not know.
It is up to Congress to find out. For months, Fauci, Andersen, and their allies have been pushing the message that ”we may never know” what caused the Covid-19 pandemic. In truth, we are getting closer to understanding what happened with every new batch of emails and Slack messages.
Previously released messages show that a top Fauci advisor who boasted of evading FOIA with his Gmail, and hiding Fauci’s role.
“Tony [Fauci] doesn’t want his fingerprints on origin stories,” wrote Fauci advisor David M. Morens. “As you know, I try to always communicate on gmail because my NIH email is FOIA’d constantly… Don’t worry...I will delete anything I don’t want to see in the New York Times.”
The evidence now shows a clear pattern of Fauci’s top advisors behaving the way that people might if they were engaged in a cover-up. Fauci and Collins pressured Andersen and his colleagues to publish an article dismissing the lab leak even though they believed in it. Morens and Andersen both attempted to evade future FOIA and Subpoena requests using Gmail and Slack.
If it was really the case, as Garry and Andersen said, that Covid-19 did not leak from a lab and that the behaviors revealed by the emails and Slack messages are not a conspiracy theory, then what do they have to hide? Where is the Zoom recording of the February 3 meeting? What was said?
As a nation, we need to go from “we may never know” to “we must find out.” If the behavior by Fauci, Collins, Andersen, Garry, and the others was entirely above board, then they should have no objection to helping members of Congress, journalists, and the public understand what exactly happened between February 3 and February 6 for them to abandon “project-wuhan_engineering” for “project-wuhan_pangolin.”

Someone reached out to me to explain what was going on in the replies under the post I wrote, as it can be hard to understand and might give reasons to misunderstand. (Again, thank you for reaching out in a decent manner, I do appreciate it!)
Two years ago a friend of mine came across my CC being reuploaded to a different platform. This friend sent me a screenshot of a post, where you could see the package file and a picture of my CC, and a name who posted it. Not a real name, not an email, a username on that platform. No other info was shown, I was not part of that platform, so this is all I saw. The friend just wanted to let me know, that this is happening to my early access CC, since they are a friend and they care. I wanted to check if I find the same username among my patrons, which I did, since they used the same username. I blocked this user in December, 2020 when this all took place. That block button that is on every platform (twitter, insta etc.), which prevents that specific user to access your profile, in this case content. (Of course you can always make a new account, but I didn’t care.) I don't know who they are, never wanted to know or to deal with it anymore. This is what happened, no tracking, chainblocking, no sharing private data and emails, no doxxing rings and private secret clubs with lists. I create Early Access CC, which goes free after a couple of weeks, I have no intention to keep or leak data, never had, never will.
Back then I was new to Patreon, only started a few months ago, so I was trying to grow and seeing my early access content being reuploaded was discouraging and I did the only thing I could do in that situation - block the reuploader. I do understand if you think that it was not a nice move from me, I am sorry. Not gonna lie, only this one issue caused me so much stress that I decided then and there that I won't deal with blocking people or care if they reupload my stuff. No one else is on my block list since December, 2020. (in fact, that person was the only one who I ever blocked) I stopped caring, and started focusing on creating content to those who like and want it. I do appreciate every single one of you who supported me in any way over the years, I would never break the trust! ❤

Plot: “This happens during the period where Wesker is still with STARS, and after a very tiring and long day there at the office, he seeks her affection. And that growing need leads to him taking her out for a night in the city, just the two of them alone together where nothing else can exist to Albert, where the only thing he can think and focus on is her and her only, and ultimately after that loving night and they arrive home, where they have a passionate night together”
Pair: OC x Albert Wesker
Warnings: NSFW under the cut
Word count: 3k.
Commissions: for more info about what I write, characters and so on, please check this post. Thank you! 💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ever since he started his double life as the umbrella’s chief of security and as the captain of STARS, Wesker found it difficult to maintain the balance in his life. The switch he has to make between these two lives is exhausting and energy-draining, and it becomes difficult to focus on something else outside of his work. Many people control him, his actions, and the people that demand results in an unrealistic time frame. He managed at first to complete all his tasks, but the time-wore him out. He’s exhausted and because of that, he loses his temper easily, which is not in his character. Little things start to slip out of his attention, all of which hinder his work.
He takes his eyes off the computer for a second to check the time. It’s 5 p.m., his subordinates are long gone, and he is the only one that remained to finish the paperwork, but judging by the immense pile of reports, he won’t be home soon. If he wasn’t such a perfectionist, he would’ve been home by now, but the report must be corrected for any mistakes and handed in on time. Chris, Forest, and Richard are careless and make some grammar mistakes. Rebecca is young and doesn’t have the specific language needed as an officer. The only ones that Wesker trusts for a competent, decent report are Jill and Barry. Besides that, he still has to report back to the umbrella. Sadly, he can’t do that with an email as there is a risk of information leaking, so he has to go personally. Another long and tiring road Albert has to take, but he won’t feel it at all. One of the best things about that day is that road. The only thing that gives him the strength to continue like this is that at the destination, someone special awaits him, and no matter how tired or angry he is, she always manages to put a smile on his face. He knows that no matter what, there will always be someone who waits for him, and that not only gives him a feeling of stability, but also a feeling of joy. That someone was one of the few brilliant scientists he ever met in his career, and who won his heart not only with their intellect but also with their beauty.
"Ace..." he thinks about them, and his lips curl into a smile. He can’t wait to bury his nose in their brown hair, to hold them tight to his chest, to tell them how much he missed them during the day. At the end of the day, he just wants to feel them. He doesn’t have any pictures of them at the station, because in case of anything, he doesn’t want to get them involved. The only ones who know about their relationship are those at the umbrella. Wesker is very possessive and wants everyone else to know who she belongs to. Because of that, she made their a custom collar that says "Property of A. Wesker" that he could adjust in such a way that she could wear it either on their neck or their thigh. She proudly wears the collar everywhere, as a sign of their commitment and loyalty to him.
The thought of their wasn’t strong enough to keep their awake, so he went down to the first floor for a coffee.
The police station became less crowded. The coffee machine in their office broke, and he had to take a long walk to the West Office. Everyone greeted him along the way. He was a highly respected captain within the station.
Whenever he would speak, everyone would go silent. That stroked his ego a bit.
He returned with a fresh, hot coffee in hand, which he carefully placed next to the keyboard.
His work went smoothly as always, and before he knew it, he had finished his paperwork. He rubbed his temples and let his body slide on the chair, and he leant back.
“Finally…” All he could think about was Ace and how she must be waiting for him. After he finishes with Umbrella too, he will devote his attention to them. He felt that he had neglected them recently, that he hadn’t given them the attention she deserved. Not to mention other things that didn’t happen, things that he craved for.
The phone rang, and Albert quickly responded. A sweet and gentle voice was on the other line.
"Hey sweetie, you’re coming to talk with Sergei?"
"Yes, I’m leaving now." A smile formed on his face as this sweet, yet tired voice belonged to Ace. Their hard-working nature also captivated him.
"I still have work to do, so if I’m not done by the time you finish, you can go home ahead if you’re too tired."
The way she cared for him above herself was melting Wesker’s heart.
"Dear heart, don’t talk nonsense. I’ll wait for you as long as it takes."
"Fine Albie." Hurry up then, because I missed you. "
"I miss you too, my little dove." He hung up, cleaned his desk, and left in a rush. "A nice dinner would do..." he thought to himself.
The ride was long since the mansion was deep in the woods, but he didn’t feel the length of the road as his mind was busy thinking about a place to take Ace, and some of Wesker’s favorite music kept him distracted as well. She made him a special playlist with some songs he loved, meaning soft rock from the 70s.
After he passed the security check, he went straight to Sergei. He couldn’t wait to finish that too and check this meeting off his "to-do" list for the day.
Sergei usually talks in a monotone with his stern voice, without letting any emotions show. He was impressed by Wesker’s performance lately. Even if he was dying inside, he still managed to impress his superiors.
“You’re a great asset to us. Dismissed.” Sergei doesn’t praise his subordinates, but Wesker deserved it. It was music to Albert’s ears. Not only did he know that they trusted him, but he could continue with his plan without any trouble. Now he could finally rush to his beloved Ace and take her out of the cold lab where she probably stayed all day.
When he arrived, he saw her bent over a microscope, with a pen in her hand and her legs crossed. She didn’t notice the presence of Albert because they were too focused on the research. Wesker approached her with small steps, making sure not to disturb them.
Inches away from her body, he lowered himself and peeked over her shoulder. There were a lot of papers with messy writing, formulas, and a lot of crossed words. His face was between her neck and shoulder, his lips so close to her ear. He stayed there for a few seconds just to inhale her scent. He missed her so much.
“You work hard, doctor.“ He whispered, making her flinch. Her body was shaking because she knew the lab was empty and she was way too deep in her research to notice any presence. Wesker stood straight and waited for Ace to come back from shock.
“Albert, you scared me! Don’t do that again.” She called him by his full name, and she was pissed. She usually calls him Albie, but when it gets serious, she calls him Albert or even Wesker.
I'm truly sorry, love.He hugged her tight and held her for a few minutes. She hugged him back and rested her head on his chest. While doing so, he placed small kisses on her forehead.
“Do you want to see what I’ve been working on?” She asked.
“Of course, honey.”
They both sat at the table, and Ace began to show Wesker her recent notes on the virus. They were all scrambled, but they made sense eventually. Wesker’s eyes were moving back and forth, from the papers to Ace. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. Even if she was sleep deprived, burned out, she was still beautiful. Her hair was perfect, her make up was in perfect condition as it was this morning when she put it, and she still smelled nice despite being indoors near meds all day.
“…we know that the virus incorporates itself into the host's DNA, which substantially alters it..." She kept talking, but he wasn’t paying attention anymore. He was focused on her, on her body, on the way her legs were crossed. She was wearing a black, short dress, and her legs were easily exposed to his eager eyes. The collar was visible while sitting like that, with the words "property of A. Wesker" visible. They were written in red, after all. While she was talking, Wesker gently slid a hand over her thigh, his slender finger exposing the flesh until they reached the collar. He stroked it a few times, teasing her, and then removed the hand. He never took his eyes off her while doing so. Ace stopped talking once they felt Albert’s touch, then they looked back at him, unsure of what to say. Her cheeks turned pink.
“Let’s get out.” He broke the silence. “I know a nice place. You could use some fresh air.”
“Sure, it sounds good.”
Ace left her coat, fixed her appearance, and followed Wesker to the car. He had to cancel his plans for dinner because it was late and every restaurant was closed. There were other options, a bar, for example, but a place like that wasn’t to Wesker's taste because it didn’t offer the privacy he sought for both of them. Instead, he drove around the city. At every stop light, he would glare at Ace, feeling his desires grow. They looked so gorgeous in that black dress, it emphasised the shape of their body. Ace was giving him subtle looks too. She also admired his appearance. No matter how rough the day is, he still manages to look flawless.
At the next stop light, Wesker placed his hand on her thigh.
“I forgot to ask, how was your day. Did you remember to eat.” His fingers closed, gently squeezing the flesh.
“Yeah.” She exhaled, feeling the air trapped in her lungs. “I had better days.” She placed her leg next to the other, his hand never leaving her thigh even after the light turned green.  Ace spread her legs a little, making more room to move for his hand.
“I though about you today.” He said, fingers sliding further on the skin, feeling the growing heat.
“Oh, I thought about you too. In fact, I missed you so much that we didn’t get the chance to spend more time together.” She let out a sharp exhale when his fingers tapped on the fabric of their pants.
“I will find a solution, I promise.” He began to draw lines with his finger along the curve of her folds until the fabric was soaked.
“Albert...”
"Yes, dear heart."
They grabbed his hand by the wrist and guided it past their panties. Albert didn’t say a word and let Ace play with his hand as they pleased.
“You want to be touched there?"
"Yes," she said, guiding one of his fingers inside. When she was about to push the finger deeply, the car stopped.
“W-what?” A dazed Ace asked.
“We’re home.” He said, a devious smirk appearing on his face.
“Oh, you’re such a tease.”
“Come on, let me show you something better.” He rushed out of the car and opened Ace’s door. She quickly fixed her clothes, only for Wesker to ruffle them again. He lifted them up, and Ace quickly wrapped her legs around him.
“I’ll fuck your brains out.” He whispered while carrying her to the apartment. He’s not into dirty talk, but he thought to spice it up, and it worked since Ace went straight to his neck, starting to lick various portions of the skin.
While inside the apartment, none of them broke the kiss. Ace’s fingers unbuttoned his shirt, their delicate starting to explore his abdomen. Wesker’s hands squeezed her inner thighs as he lifted her dress. Then, his hands quickly grabbed her cheeks. Ace’s hands moved to his perfect, soft hair.
“I missed you so much, my dove.” He said breathlessly, between kisses.
“I missed you too, darling.” They said this while their hands were messing with his hair.
Wesker saw himself in a mirror just as Ace was falling down on her knees. His hair was a mess. To add to his ruffled appearance, he had these spots on his neck, red from all the nibbling and greyish from her lipstick.
“Oh my, look at all the mess you made”. He said, while touching his neck.
Ace loved to mark Albert, leaving visible marks.
“I guess I bit too hard.” She said, trying to contain her smile.
He cupped her chin with his fingers, lifting her head so she could look at him. His big thumb went over her lower lips, and Ace opened her mouth a little more to allow his finger to go in. He pressed on her tongue and went as deep as he could without making her gag. Ace, in response, started to suck on his finger and move her head.
“You’re such a good girl.” Ace moaned in response.
Wesker pulled it out after he felt his lower abdomen exploding and worked on his belt.
"No." They said, while grabbing his hands. “Let me.” Wesker’s hand fell near his body and let Ace do the rest. She quickly removed the belt and unbuttoned his pants. She was met by his huge bulge once she reached his boxers. She took a quick, sharp exhale and grabbed the elastic band, preparing to lower them as well.
“If you’re not in the mood, we can do it another day.”
“After all the teasing?” She said in a mocking tone and disposed of the boxers too revealing his rock hard member. Its glistering head was pulsating in front of her, waiting to be stimulated.
Ace pressed her lips on the tip, kissing it. Then she wrapped her tongue around it. All these actions have already made Wesker a little vocal. She kept on stimulating, and she could feel a salty taste on her tongue. Wesker took a handful of her brown hair in his fist and pulled her head gently. He pushes his hips further, urging her to take more and more. Soon, pleasure took over his mind, and he picked up the pace. His thrusts increased, and it was getting harder for Ace to take him. Even if tears rolled down her cheeks, they didn’t want to stop because of how excited they were to hear him moan and call her name. These words of praise escaped his lips. "Good girl," and "you're taking me so well," His tip hit the back of her throat multiple times, his throbbing member was bruising her throat, and Ace couldn’t have enough of it. All of this, his moans, his powerful thrusts, increased her interest. Wesker looked down for a second and noticed how ravaged Ace was. He pulled out, a line of saliva and precum connecting her bottom lip to his tip.
“Why did you stop?” She asked in a hoarse voice.
“I want you to feel good, my love.”
“I am feeling good, darling. You have no idea how much it pleases me to see you like this.”
“Dear heart, you’re a treasure.” He lifted Ace and carried her to bed, where he placed her with care on the edge of it and spread her legs. The collar remained and Wesker kept playing with it by pulling it and releasing it suddenly, the slap echoing in the room. He went down on his knees and pressed his palms on either side of her inner thighs. Her lips were red and soaked in her juice. Wesker uses his fingers to separate them, exposing her clit and throbbing hole. He wastes no time and presses his lips over it, his tongue immediately licking the sensitive bud, sucking it, while being very careful of how her body responds. He kept it exposed with his hands, running his tongue up and down, in circular motions, over the clitoral hood, avoiding her opening just to mess with her. Her hips and his movements were in rhythmic motion. At some point, Wesker stopped and Ace was riding on his face. He stopped when he felt that she was close.
“You’re worked up dear.” He said while pressing on the sides of the clit to expose it more. Then he pressed his finger and ran lines over it.
“Albie….”
“What dear?”
“I need you…”
It’s all he needed. He climbed into the bed, throwing Ace on top of him. This position finishes her every time; she gets to kiss the base of his neck and collarbone, where she is buried in the crotch of his neck. That’s the spot where she feels safest, and where Albert has his arms wrapped around her back, holding her tight.
He guides his cock inside, the insertion turning her body into jelly. He thrusts his shaft deep and slow at first, taking time between each thrust because he doesn't want to hurt her. When he feels her loosen a little bit he picks up the pace. His hands never left her ass and he kept on squeezing it as he moved faster.
“I love you.” She said while looking into his eyes. That was the most intimate part of the whole act, where she could stare into those light blue eyes.
“I love you too.” He replied, and he picked up the pace once again, his tip bruising that sweet spot inside Ace. They lose control, becoming a moaning mess. Only a few deep thrusts and Ace feels her climax coming.
“I’m-“
“Come for me.” He says this while going faster.
Her walls tighten around his cock and she comes all over his lower abdomen. His thrusts became erratic as well, and he soon followed Ace, coming deep inside her. With heavy breaths, she collapsed next to him.
They spend a few moments in silence, their breaths coming slowly back to normal. Wesker turned to face her and caressed her face. Her make up was a mess, the mascara and lipstick were everywhere.
“Let’s clean you up.” He’s very gentle after every intercourse.
After they clean up the mess they’ve caused, both of them fall asleep in a matter of seconds, in each other's arms, with Ace buried in the crotch of his neck.

what are your whole honest to god opinions on the ranboo leak ordeal? like full on analogy bc u have some rly good perspectives
okay so i guess when i think about ranboo's information getting leaked, i remember like the very first few leaks in private discord spaces and stuff like that and i think the first few leaks were completely unavoidable. ranboo didn't think about how his old mc account could eventually lead to people finding his email, school, ect ect, and if it'd just been those leaks specifically, then i seriously doubt much would've been bad. like okay we have your.. tumblr with a couple of riverdale and 2018 gay humor likes, and a possible city where you live but that's it. the problem is ranboo tried to hide all the wrong things. like he wouldn't even reveal his timezone so people couldn't figure out where in the usa he was, but then totally forgot to get rid of the actual pictures that come up when you search his name? he literally skimmed on the most important parts of internet safety (changing emails, deleting old accounts, getting people to delete pictures of you) but then did the absolute most for basically nothing. by april ranboo was 100% aware of the leaks and still did nothing, and his biggest mistake was doing nothing about it. he didn't contact his school to delete videos and pictures of him, he didn't change his emails or account names, he didn't get his friends to take down any pictures and tried to just ignore it but like.. tht's not something you do with a doxxing threat. he was too scared to address it head-on and only looked at it when it got to its worst and by then it was too late. probably 90% of my tumblr followers at least know 1 obscure bit of ranboo lore by now and it's upsetting because the initial leaks really weren't that horrible, but it grew because ranboo didn't do anything.
so that's everything ranboo did wrong, now what about the fandom? well the whole idea of leaktwt really exploded with ranboo, like sure dream was a huge leaktwt target but the problem is he wiped a lot of the internet of his old past before becoming a cc, so new dream leaks are rare and usually come from him (him talking to teamroothed about sam, ect ect) but ranboo did nothing of that. basically ranboo was a plethora of information just waiting to be exposed and people jumped on that because it made them feel cool to be able to find all that and spread it and be malicious on the internet. it all just comes from the fact that these kids and tired and true losers with nothing better to do than doxx literal children likee?!? leaktwt is bad but come on for a closeted 16 year old kid???? dude you guys need to recognize at a certain point that by doing this youre going to actually harm him. i remember when leaktwt was really bad (like may/june) and ranboo put on ranmail about how sad he was and all these fltwt accs were qrting like "oh god i feel bad" YES SO DEACTIVATE?? ITS LITERALLY YOUR FAULT?? honestly leaktwt would be a lot more respectable if it was just done in private, not saying its any better, youre still doxxing and digging but at least its far away from a very sensitive and vulnerable ranboo whos already very insecure

OBEY ME BROTHERS AS CELEBRITIES
Sorry I haven't been active. Between schoolwork and just a lack of motivation and creativity, I really dont know what else I should've written. I'm sorry for abandoning this blog for a while haha.
LUCIFER
He's an actor. But later turned into directing and producing movies.
Has an entire room dedicated to his awards, one wall lined up with all his Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys.
Involved in plenty of rumors and scandals, usually where the media thinks he's dating an actor or found a non celebrity partner. But really, he asked them out to talk business.
Whenever he's acting, his character can go from the charming boy to the rich spoiled brat to even the badass detective. He's not a big fan of starring in hero or action movies with lots of effects. Nor directing those types of movies.
Directed a horror movie once and that quickly got taken out of movies for how scary they were. Psychological horror to the extreme.
His stans are usually rich and probably like Quentin Tarantino or Clint Eastwood. Lucifer has beefed with Woody Allen and his stans do as well. Truly iconic.
Philanthropist.
MAMMON
He's a model in canon but I feel he could also be a photographer.
He knows his aesthetics and has plenty of portfolios.
He's probably gonna act a lot smarter now that he's famous and knows plenty of people would want to scam him.
He does give out to charity sometimes but usually he models for campaigns or sells his pictures at auctions and donates away the money or a percentage of it.
Involved in some scandals but they're quickly debunked by his stans or his management. Nothing too bad, just a dating rumor that spirled out of control.
He does have a good relationship with his fans and likes to do podcasts or go on lives and interact and answer questions, even invites them on his lives to talk with them.
He's filthy rich and he dresses filthy rich. His style is very earthy and casual, but he does have that expensive Hermes™ watch and some Prada™ boots.
LEVIATHAN
He's a YouTuber. He also streams every Friday and Saturday from 10pm-6am.
He liked to cosplay but now that he gets invited to gaming cons and events, he probably doesn't have much time to make a good cosplay up to his standards so he'd probably wearing Tanjiro's earrings one day and then his Naruto jacket the next.
Whenever he goes to concerts, it's a thing that fans secretly take pictures of him if they're near him and there's plenty of content of him drooling over Zaramela.
There's YouTube compliations of him going shy whenever someone is nice to him or someone attractive goes near him.
Because he games a lot, he probably would sweat a lot if he becomes concentrated. So whenever he'd brush his hair back or put it in a ponytail, his stans go feral.
Don't mess with his stans, they're the type to call and email anyone so you have your life ruined. But I promise they're usually soft stans.
He dresses like the gamer boy of your dreams tbh.
SATAN
He's a painter.
The next Picasso. Van Gogh. Monet. He has talent.
Many would say he could be an author cause he reads but I headcanon he could have synesthesia. So whenever he'd read a book and go over a specific scene, it'd inspire him to draw or paint something.
If he's stressed, he plays classical music and paints whatever the music says.
He was probably a college student when this happened and he had a lot of paintings he didn't know what to do with, so he just sold them or gave him away to charities under a fake name.
Like some Hannah Montana shit, he lived a double life for a couple months and then he got outed by some journalist that was supposed to keep up with him.
He gets invited to plenty of events and has painted for celebrities and politicians. Despite that, he's probably the least popular of his brother's but his stans are very dedicated to him and surprisingly there's rarely any fights within.
He has money but the most expensive his he owns is a watch and his car. More dad or nerdy boyfriend type look.
ASMODEUS
Triple Threat. Model, actor, singer.
He frequently goes on tour and drops albums. His music ranges so one album can help you explore your sexuality when his next album mostly focuses on who he truly is and so on.
Like Lucifer, he has plenty of awards. Probably has starred in one of his productions, too.
Has collaborated with NikkieTutorials, Rihanna and her Fenty collection, Beyonce, the biggest stars you could think of. Whether music or beauty.
Has his own fashion line as well as his own perfume collection and beauty products. A good percentage does go to charities and organizations like homeless college students or pro-lgbt groups.
Has YouTube compliations of men having gay panics over him.
Has been involved in many scandals and relationships, but many wind up false. Surprisingly. He is honest, so he does confirm if there was any chemistry between him and someone else.
His stans are more open and accepting, they don't really attack you or ruin your life but they can damage your self esteem for good.
They've also trended "#AsmoIsOverParty" just to promote a new project from him.
BEELZEBUB
He's an athlete.
There's plenty of videos of him with his shirt off and he may seem scary to many people, he's our big puppy.
"Beelzebub being cute for 4 minutes and 48 seconds" compliations rival "Levi being shy as a serotonin boost" compliations
Has the most fans. He's mentioned wanting a family and being family oriented before which probably caused his fan base to expand.
If you don't understand the sport, older stans would explain it for you. He also made a YouTube channel where he posts videos explaining how the game works and the positions. There's 5 videos, each video almost an hour long. He hasn't updated his channel since then.
Has also starred in Lucifers movies and usually does his own stunts.
He only wears expensive shoes as long as they last long or are comfortable for him. He also sometimes buys expensive athletic wear but majority of the time he doesn't check how expensive it is as long as he's comfortable.
Every week, he posts a video of himself working out or making a healthy and inexpensive meal to promote a healthier lifestyle.
BELPHAGOR
Music producer.
Despite being known to nap a lot or to be in his room a lot, it's usually because he spends a lot of time making beats and working on lyrics.
He's collaborated with plenty of artists but usually collaborates with Asmo.
Belphie also has his own music company which Asmo is under. Of course there's other producers in so he works alongside them and other artists and he usually makes his own music or adds back vocals to some songs.
If you find the back vocals within it, he's usually growling or moaning. His voice is deep but it's very soothing.
His stans usually send him letters or ask Asmo how he's doing or if he's eaten yet. He is very respected and his stans are FERAL. No mercy, absolutely ruthless.
Once had his mixtape "leaked" by Asmo and it was on the charts for a good while and broke a record or two. He doesn't like talking about it much but he does appreciate it.
He doesn't dress up much but whenever he does, it's like he's a different persona.

P!ATD: meeting Pete in late 2004
I’m going to get a bit more specific with dates here just because journalists were all over the map with whatever story they wanted to make up… I’ve seen dates published that are anywhere between early 2004 – spring 2005 for when the band met Pete.
So I’ll start in late November 2004... Fall Out Boy was recording in L.A. at this time. Ryan Ross (who was 18 & in college) had been spamming the internet and telling everyone to listen to his band. Journalists later wrote that Ryan had put his purevolume link on Pete’s myspace, youtube, livejournal, the FBR journal, and basically any site you could name (so they were confused about that too). Pete told Nylon in 2006:
“I ended up in a sort of ongoing livejournal skirmish with the guys in Panic!, where they would send me nasty messages and mess with me, and I’d mess with them back… One day they told me to listen to their band – which of course I did because I wanted to tell them how shitty they were – and was blown away. I couldn’t believe how awesome they sounded, so I signed them right away.”
Ryan told Big Cheese in early 2006:
“I sent a link to our purevolume page to his journal. I figured he’d never even hear it. He sent me an email saying he wanted to hear more, so he drove to Las Vegas and sat in on a band practice, and then he said he wanted to sign us.”
Spencer said in late August 2006:
“We had two demos online and Ryan posted a link to the website on Fall Out Boy’s livejournal on the internet. And Pete happened to see it, happened to click on it, listened to the songs, and contacted us.”
Ryan said “When we first talked, Pete said he usually never listens to anything people post, but by chance happened to that day.” (Pete’s also told a version of the story a few times where he initially wanted to listen to the song just to tell the guys they sucked... but instead he ended up scrambling to sign them).
These interview quotes from early 2006 give a good summary of what Ryan & Pete usually said.
So on November 28th Pete posted this after listening to the demos – you can still see Ryan’s reply in the comments. And if you glanced at some of the stuff I put in previous posts, you can probably tell what a huge FOB fan Ryan was in 2003-2004 and how surreal that moment must’ve been. (Also, Brendon’s early email address was just as funny as Ryan’s so I hope nobody’s mocking that still ha). In future interviews the band would sometimes say that Pete didn’t discover them – they found Pete.
Ryan’s November 28th livejournal post after he talked to Pete: “’take those pics and write the hits’ wow. big things have been happening. pete from fob heard the band and liked it. he and i talked today about alot of things about what we plan to do, as of now he’s going to go see us in california. who knows after that. wierd that someone in a band i really like is into my music. it feels good.”
Brent’s brother Blake later leaked a supposed transcript of an AIM chat between Ryan & Pete, but he was also trying to destroy the band’s image that season and was busy posting other inaccurate info that only showed how little Brent even knew about the band. So I’d definitely take the content in that chat “between Ryan & Pete” with a grain of salt (even if it seems fun). I definitely wouldn’t trust anything from Blake... especially something that he shared in mid-2006.
Anyways, Pete said he signed the band right away and Ryan said one time that Pete drove out the next day, but it was more like he drove out several days later (which was the story they usually went with anyways). Dan Suh was FOB’s tour manager who was with Pete when he met P!ATD for the first time, so I’ll be referencing a few of his livejournal posts just to show that everything was documented and definitely happened at this time. On November 30th (Wednesday) Dan said “there might be a field trip to vegas this weekend.”
MEETING PETE
Ryan posted a picture of P!ATD on his livejournal on Saturday 12/4 like Pete asked and then later updated it with their name & what each guy played. It wasn’t clear if that picture was taken before or after they met Pete, but this was the weekend when they met.
Pete drove from the LA area to Vegas. P!ATD’s Rolling Stone cover article claimed that Pete flew to Vegas right away to check out the band, but most other articles understood that he rented a car & drove. The Miami Herald also published this version of events: “Wentz heard the songs, flew to Las Vegas, and signed Panic! to his brand-new label, Decaydance. All this before Panic! had ever played a note to a live audience.” (Again, the phrasing is important: it’s technically true that the band by the name of P!ATD hadn’t played a single show before they met Pete).
The P!ATD guys had recorded their demos on garageband but didn’t know how to actually play them live as a band yet, so it sounded like there was some momentary panic there... they ended up playing them acoustically.
The band met Pete at a hotel (Brendon used to say it was the Palms but many years later he said the Aladdin so whatever idc). They took Pete to their practice space where he and the few people who were with him listened to Brendon & Ryan play acoustic versions of their demos. Someone who was in the practice space watching everything later told me that they only remembered hearing It’s Time To Dance... when Pete asked if the band had anything else, the guys said not really and so Pete just asked to hear that same song again & again (so that’s one person’s memory).
All four guys + Pete have given varying answers and contradicted themselves over the years about how many songs were played… it was somewhere between 1.5 to 3 songs but the answer was usually two. P!ATD had two demos online at that point (It’s Time to Dance + Nails for breakfast and tacks for snacks) but it sounded like they also had a third demo that wasn’t online and didn’t make it onto the album (I’m not talking about Relax, Relapse). So maybe that mystery demo factored into their memories of how many songs they had that season, idk.
Pete was really into the lyrics and later talked about how the fact that the acoustic version was still super compelling helped him see how good everything was.
update: Obviously Pete did not sign this band out of the goodness of his heart... he wasn’t there for a charity case. He was constantly hearing from bands who were desperate to be signed. Pete recognized the marketing potential in P!ATD and drove out to make sure that they had the right look & sound that could sell. This should be common sense. It was a business deal.
Pete said “I heard Panic! and my immediate reaction was jealousy. I was like these guys are writing songs I wish we had written. I think that it’s far more important as an A&R to chase songwriters not songs, because anyone can write a catchy song once. I want to find someone with a voice.”
He also told Alt Press in early 2006: “I think the thing that stood out immediately was that these songs maybe weren’t songs that could change the world, but these songwriters were capable of writing songs that could. A good A&R [person] chases songwriters, not songs. I remember listening to Time to Dance over and over again, wishing I had written it.”
I’m not going to list tons more quotes from Pete, I promise... but here’s one more.
Pete took them to Del Taco afterwards. The band’s early bio on several sites said “As they were driving back to Pete’s hotel, he expressed his interest in wanting to sign the band to his label.” (P!ATD was one of the first bands that Pete signed, but not the first like some magazines said. I’m pretty sure that was Gym Class Heroes).
In a few interviews the guys said they signed their contracts right away, so that sounded like December... but other interviews said 3/4 of the band were under 18 so they had to have their parents sign their contracts when they were sent around the new year. Either way, the contracts were signed around the end of 2004.
Pete later mentioned his first impression of Brendon.
On Monday 12/6 Dan Suh posted on livejournal: “this weekend was an impromptu road trip to vegas to check out a band…”
THE REST OF DECEMBER
The band got their myspace, and their AIM names were listed (Ryan = stitchesnwalkers, Brendon = aboynamedskip, Brent = screenametaken1, Spencer = twentyninepiecer). I’m mentioning that because in early April 2009 Spencer tweeted Brendon “have you seen this... My 29 piecer will be alive soon.” and it was fun to have that flashback to the early days.
12/15 on Ryan’s lj: “bombing finals. writing instead. this weekend.l.a. road trip.”
P!ATD went to visit FOB in L.A. and Brendon did some vocals for 7 Minutes In Heaven.
Pete told Billboard in 2008: “When I signed them, Brendon was 17 and he didn't have much life experience. He came to see me in California and stayed up all night because he was so excited about not having his parents tell him to go to bed.” (He easily could’ve been talking about when the guys visited him again in January 2005, though).
Pete posted on the FBR journal on 12/12: “urgent update: life aquatic is the best movie of the year. watch it. change the way you think.”
Sunday 12/19 on Dan’s lj: “panic at the disco are hilarious guys and a wonderful band to boot. listen closely to the next record for a guest appearance from their singer Brendan.”
Ryan’s comment on that post: “dan, this is ryan from panic at the disco, thank you for making it a good time last weekend. and keeping pete from thinking he's too cool.” Dan’s reply: “yoooooooo what's up duuuuuuuuude. cool of you guys to come hang out in LA. next time we'll all go to the hustler store. oh wait, you f—s aren't 18 yet. anyway, have a great christmas in the desert, hit me up if you need anything… word.” (btw: Ryan was definitely 18 & in college. The other 3 band members were 17 and in high school still).
12/20 on Ryan’s lj: “if i could bottle my hopes in a store bought scent they’d be nutmeg peach and they’d pay the rent. los angeles was good. life aquatic was good. mansoup was good. my updates suck because i have to keep my mouth shut. ‘i keep telling myself that i’m not the desperate type’”
Pete would quote vague things in 2007 & 2009 that would turn out to be new P!ATD lyrics, so I just love that Ryan got to do it to him in that last post.
here’s Brendon explaining the “man soup” part of Ryan’s lj post.
From a 2006 Nylon interview with Pete & Ryan:
Pete: “When we were recording we were living in Oakwood, which is corporate housing in L.A. It’s filled with young actors who just get wasted and hang out in the hot tub all night. We’d all hang out there, five or six dudes. It was so lame, so we called it man stew.” Ryan: “We had no bathing suits. We were all in our underwear.”
A COUPLE RANDOM QUOTES
Brendon in a Buzznet interview in late 2006:
“[Wentz is] the reason we were discovered. We were kind of reaching out to him. Just the fact that he took a chance on coming out and seeing a band who had never played a show is cool. He does a really good job. He’s put in a really good word for us during interviews. A lot of the hype we can owe to him.”
At the end of 2006 AbsolutePunk asked Spencer why they contacted Pete. Spencer’s answer:
“We were superfans. We had no idea how anything worked in the music business. We didn’t have any contacts whatsoever and only two songs. We liked their band and when you don’t think anything’s gonna come of it, it’s like ‘why not’?”

So why the velociraptor love? (Raptors are my fave too)
Buckle up cause we're about to down memory lane!
It allllll started years ago, with a movie called Jurassic Park, which I watched way too young. Lol, actually, wait no, I can trace it back further than that
It allllll started with a movie called Godzilla (98) (I think that's the year it came out? It was the american version set in Nyc with the babies). I was literally obsessed with that movie. You know how little kids can watch the same movie day in and day out, day after day? Yeah. Godzilla was that movie for me...when I was three-four!!! Like, I hadn't even started kindergarten yet!
But man, did I love that movie.
I had a 4-5 foot inflatable Godzilla that I used to wrestle and play imaginary games with and have tea parties (until it got a hole and deflated very slowly over time...my parents tried to find the leak and tape it but we're unsuccessful...I was devastated)
I also (still) have this plastic baby Godzilla. It was part of one of those "action" playsets I think? It's supposed to have a part of its side that clips on and off to show an injury but I lost that part in kindergarten sand box cause I brought it to school with me a lot. Also, at one point my dogs got a hold of it and chewed it's hand off...I glued it back on. Here's a picture
Tumblr media
Now, oddly enough, despite everything I just said, my first imaginary friend (that I can remember) was a Triceratops lol! And for a long time there if you asked me what my favorite dinosaur was, that would be my answer, and here's why:
Around the age of 6, I discovered The Land Before Time. And that became my new everyday movie (specifically 6: I forget the official title but it's the one with the baby three horns that speak baby talk going up to three horn mountain). I would rent a Land Before Time movie every time we went to the video rental store (I think the only reason my parents never actually bought at of the movies for me was cause they didn't want a Godzilla repeat (seriously, I remember bringing that movie to my mom's work office and watching it on a TV in a conference room cause she couldn't get a babysitter or something that day 😂))
During that video rental phase, there were a few other dinosaur movies I remember watching (specifically one that I Can Not Find because I can't remember the name, but it was practical effect baby dinosaurs that these kids find (like a long neck, a pteronodon, a Triceratops and I think a t rex if I remember correctly) I remember the kids keeping the dinosaurs a secret and they gave them names and little dog collars and if you know what movie I'm describing please let me know cause I've been wanting to watch it again for almost 20 years lol)
Ok...where was I?
Ah, yes, so. Jurassic Park. I actually saw The Lost World first and many more times than I have the actual original movie lol
Oddly enough, I remember after the first time watching it, I had a nightmare where the Velociraptors were hunting me through the tall grass like in one scene of the movie. So...I was actually scared of Velociraptors for a little bit there! Crazy, right!?
🤔 I... actually don't remember what caused the shift though? At some point, I remember swopping out my imaginary triceratop for a t rex run along (those things that run along side you when you're in a movie vehicle) then eventually the t rex shrunk to a Velociraptor cause I was literally only seeing the legs of the rex as it ran (🤣 child logic y'all)
I can also trace that same shift using my online usernames lol, my first email was Rex102092 (I remember that but not it's password or domain 😂). Somewhere around 5th or 6th grade, I joined this one website that had a site wide to group chat that was just, chaos (child friendly) role playing. There was this unspoken rule that were were all in this giant mountain bowl landscape, and everyone interacted with everyone else and I could seriously describe all on it still but couldn't find the site itself if you asked lol. My username there was Raptor102092 (I remember I wanted to make it Velociraptor102092 but I couldn't spell Velociraptor. One of my more vivid memories from that chat (other than being taught *is an action indication*) was something saying they thought my username was a reference to a video game monster and didn't realize it was a dinosaur. And for some reason that upset me enough that, I actually went to google to learn how to spell Velociraptor. I started looking up pictures every day as a way to practice spelling it too XD then, going forward all my usernames were Velociraptor102092.
Even when I first joined Tumblr, that was my url
Until
One day, while on tumblr, I realized no one else had numbers in their name (not really, unless they were a bit or something. So I realized I had to come up with something else.
And at that point in my life, I was obsessed with Velociraptors. I had a replica claw necklace, dozens of toys, a plushie I (still) sleep with. I've watched several documentaries where Velociraptors were either the focus, or featured. I googled pictures of them all the time, even had my own character that I drew constantly.
Thus, VelociraptorAddict.
Now, more recently (within the past 5 years), I made a friend who is big into the whole furry thing. And as a result I've kinda been dragged into it as well? Lol
I've been to a few conventions and a few local meet ups but I would exactly considered myself as invested in the whole thing as most people are. But the symptoms are definitely there XD just, very subdued.
But, yeah, if I had the motivation I'd probably build myself at least the wings. But there is No Way I'm spending the kind of money some people do to commission a suite, it's ridiculous! Like, 2-5k ridiculous! No thank you lol
Anyway
I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question.
I don't know where the love for Velociraptors came from?? Cause, The Lost World gave me nightmares...then suddenly, Velociraptors are an intricate part of my online life?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We are much closer to facism than most people would think
(from leftnortheast)
This is from the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.
[the slide includes a picture of poster that reads: early warning signs of facism in big print. Beneath it it lists the warning signs: powerful and continuing nationalism, disdain for human rights, identification of enemies as a unifying cause, supremacy of the military, rampant sexism, controlled mass media, obsession with national security, religion and government intertwined, corporate power protected, labor power suppressed, disdain for intellectuals and the arts, obsession with crime and punishment, rampant cronyism and corruption, and finally fraudulent election]
Each early warning sign is here in present-day America.
1) Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
both presidential candidates are relying strongly on nationalism to make their case for the Oval Office. Trump’s nationalism (“Make America Great Again/Keep America Great”) is much more obvious, but Biden’s emphasis on “fighting for the soul of our nation” and the like appeals to voters who want to restore their sense of American exceptionalism lost under Trump.
2) Disdain for Human Rights
there are ICE concentration camps at the US-Mexico border where many have died from awful conditions, gone missing, or have been separated from their families. The United States has destabilized, bombed, and invaded dozens of countries in the Middle East and the global south in the name of corporate profit. Millions are homeless and without healthcare in the richest country on the planet, and recently President Trump has proposed numerous transphobic pieces of legislation
3) Identification of Enemies as a Unifying Cause
the Cold War and the War on Terror are the most prominent examples of this “common enemy” tactic used to rally public opinion. In recent weeks, Trump and the GOP have used Antifa, which isn’t even a real organization, as a scapegoat for the protests and riot, despite leaked FBI documents showing there was zero evidence found of Antifa involvement in the George Floyd protests. The Democrats have also used the “common enemy” tactic, most often with Trump himself. The corporate owned DNC was able to justify nominating a centrist candidate whose policy measures do nothing to address the poverty and systematic poverty the majority of American people face
4) Supremacy of the Military
one of [leftnortheast’s] recent posts goes into detail about how much we spend on our military. Not only is it vast amounts of funding completely contrary to what Americans need, out military is used primarily by our politicians to install and maintain corporate-friendly governments in third world countries
5) Rampant Sexism
Donald Trump has dozens of rape allegations and was caught on tape saying he grabs women “by the pussy” to get them to sleep with him. Joe Biden has a number of allegations of inappropriate behavior himself, as well as an extremely credible rape accusation from Tara Reade
6) Controlled Mass Media
90% of American media is owned by five corporations. As [leftnortheast] talked about in [their] recent #MediaMonday post, these corporations are beginning to censor smaller, dissenting political voices
7) Obsession with National Security
after 9/11, the government passed the Patriot Act, and now out government (through the NSA, FBI, etc.) now have completely stripped Americans of their privacy by monitoring phone calls, messages, emails, etc. In fact, immediately following the first wave of George Floyd protests, an overwhelming bipartisan majority voted to give Trump increased survelliance powers, something that’s been done before. There were also credible reports of spy planes monitoring peaceful protests.
8) Religion and Government Intertwined
Trump’s bible photo-op was probably the most egregious example of this, but it’s not hard to find this. “In God we trust” remains the United State’s official motto, and “one nation, under God” remains in our Pledge of Allegiance. “God Bless America” is another one of Trump’s favorites.
9) Corporate Power Protected, Labor Power Suppressed
[leftnortheast] combined these two, as they are both untrusting to a capitalist economy— the two classes have conflicting interests and need to stymie the other’s in order to succeed. Corporate power is protected by the state, because the capitalist class uses lovbying, corporate media, and campaign donations to ensure politicians serve their interests and not those of the people, the working class.
10) Disdain for the Intellectuals and the Arts
Public schools and colleges across the country have cut arts and humanities programs at an alarming rate
11) Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Despite only making up 4% of the global population, the United States accounts for 20% of the world prison population. The US has the most people in prison per capita of any country on a Earth.
12) Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
For 2018, the median net worth of members of Congress was $511,000. The richest Congressional members are worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
13) Fraudulent Elections
There is more than enough evidence to conclude the Democratic Party rigged the 2016 presidential primary in favor of Hillary Clinton. Documents have been released revealing the DNC was working jointly with Hillary Clinton while the primary was still happening, and emails brought to the public show how the DNC would work with the media to manufacture smear campaigns against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. Mass voter suppression is prevalent throughout this country.
After the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was passed, voter suppression, which targets BIPOC and low income communities especially, was declining. By 2012 for example, 90.2% of eligible Black voters in Mississippi were registered to vote, compared to less than 10% prior to it’s passage. However, in 2013, the Supreme Court ruled that the Voting Rights Act was unconstitutional. Since then, thousands of polling places have been closed around the country, many of them in predominantly Black neighborhoods, and other obstacles target transgender, low income, BIPOC, and/or young voters like voter ID laws have become increasingly popular.
For example, in 2016, a voter ID law in Wisconsin had blocked around 27% of the systems Black population from voting, which the Republican Attourney General would later brag had helped Donald Trump win Wisconsin
Final Slide: If the working class is not aware that it is the flaws of capitalism and the actions of the bourgeoisie that has forced them into a poor material state, they will often misdirect their hatred, which is why a lot of fascist states scapegoated specific groups of people.
This was evident in many of the 20th century fascist states in Europe.
In times of economic strife, the bourgeoise are more likely to endorse a fascist revolution, because it will quell the working class and allow them to maintain their assets and power.
“Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism, because it is the merger of state and corporate power” - Benito Mussolini

Item #: SCP-081
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Only those with Level 4 clearance and written permission from ███████ may have access to SCP-081. Full hazard gear including suit, gloves, and an oxygen tank must be worn at all times when in the containment area. Suits must be sprayed with a disinfectant shower before leaving the containment area. If containment is breached, the entire area must be exposed to ultraviolet light and then bleached. Those who are suspected of being infected must be quarantined for at least ten (10) days. If no symptoms manifest after the tenth day, then quarantine can be lifted.
Description: SCP-081 is a contagious virus that appears to be a mutated version of the ███████ virus, but with █ segments in its RNA instead of █. The virus is human specific, but is spread by rats who act as passive carriers. SCP-081 can also be spread through sexual intercourse and exposure to infected blood.
SCP-081 infects adipocytes and leukocytes, inducing both to absorb nutrients at a vastly accelerated rate. As the nutrients are absorbed, infected B-Cells produce and secrete large quantities of a modified human antibody. Adipocytes expand and proliferate and the organism's caloric intake increases. When the concentration of adipose tissue reaches a critical point, the viral antibodies instigate systemic cell lysis, followed by an unknown process leading to the spontaneous combustion of the infected individual.
There is a one (1) week incubation period before initial symptoms begin to occur. The duration of the symptoms depends entirely on the body fat percentage of the infected. Infection proceeds through four (4) distinct stages.
Stage 1: During the first week there are no major symptoms, though subjects may report being slightly tired.
Stage 2: In the second week of infection, subjects will begin to experience “hot flashes” and an increased appetite.
Stage 3: Infected subjects demonstrate extreme polyphagia. They will do anything in their power to obtain food or anything edible. During this stage, metabolism slows down significantly and weight gain proceeds rapidly. There is no set time that will elapse before the fourth and final stage. In order for the virus to complete its life cycle, the victim must be composed of 55% body fat.
Stage 4: Once the subject reaches 55% body fat, the urge to eat will stop, though subjects report increased instances of "hot flashes." Soon afterward the body will go through an extremely violent version of widespread cell lysis. As cells burst, the modified antibodies catalyze the ignition of fatty compounds through unknown means. The body is incinerated from the inside out via the wick effect, with the additional fat serving as a fuel source. Because stage 4 is largely asymptomatic, subjects are never aware when combustion will occur and the exact timing is apparently random.
Addendum 081-1: The first recorded incident of SCP-081 was reported in 1763 by Frenchman Jonas Dupont. In his book De Incendiis Corporis Humani Spontaneis, he wrote about a case in Paris where a man was acquitted of killing his wife as the jury agreed that the wife died due to spontaneous human combustion. It should be noted that the woman was incredibly overweight at the time of her death. It was not until the death of Mary Reeser on July 2nd 1951 that SCP-081 was brought to the Foundation’s attention. Despite the Foundation’s best efforts, this information was leaked to the national media along with pictures of the incident. It is believed that most reported cases of spontaneous human combustion are caused by SCP-081.
Addendum 081-2: SCP-081 is estimated to have existed since the █th Century and thought to have originated in █████████████. Because of widespread poverty and malnutrition present in many European countries at the time, instances of third and fourth stage infections were rare. North America has experienced the most cases of SCP-081 in the last century, but because of cleaner conditions and active rat population control, SCP-081 cases have dropped significantly. Fewer than ███ people a year die from late-stage SCP-081.
Addendum 081-3: Due to the United States' current obesity epidemic, it is crucial that wild SCP-081 be eradicated. The exposure that would result from a wide scale epidemic would be disastrous to successful containment efforts. ---Dr. ██████████.
Addendum 081-4: During testing, it has been discovered that people who have diabetes have a natural immunity to SCP-081. This has not helped in the development of a treatment for the virus, and it remains incurable. Wild infections [DATA EXPUNGED] and an alternate cause of death provided.
Addendum 081-5: It was discovered by Agent █████ that SCP-081 can spread by exposure to the ashes of a deceased victim. Containment and epidemic contingency protocols are being amended, and emergency services personnel who responded to Ms. █████████'s call have been detained for evaluation. ---Dr. ██████████.
