I was gonna write a post about this; I wonder if they realize that they are linked together for the rest of their lives. Their performance as Alex and Henry was so powerful that they will be paired outside of that story in every opportunity. I wonder if they know, and how they feel about it!
Every time nick and taylor breathes a new ship of their characters gets invented in the rwrb fandom:
'this is exactly the kind of thing i've spent 15 years going 'i wish this scene existed' and being so frustrated that it didn't(..)watching Brokeback Mountain and being like 'okay sure but like Why is this all I'm getting over and over again?' in terms of what I'm seeing on screen'
youtube
Robbie talks about RWRB, and also about Mary & George, and about his work, it's definitely worth a watch/a listen!!
FEEL FREE TO CHECK ALSO:
so much RWRB content in this post/many many links!!
Talked briefly about RWRB with a classmate who said they didn’t really enjoy anything about it and followed that up with Taylor and Nicholas not being that great of actors.
I want to be mad (I am) but they weren’t being rude and it’s their opinion. I just literally do not understand, but they didn’t want to elaborate since I’d already said I loved it. I assume they didn’t want to a) hurt my feelings and b) start an argument. I tried to make it clear that I was literally just curious and wasn’t trying to start anything, but they refused, so I gave up.
I understand something not being your thing, but there’s a difference between it not being your thing and believing that something is poor quality because you don’t like it.
I don’t understand how someone can watch the NYE kiss, the walk in the gardens, Paris, the lake house, the fight in Kensington Palace, and walk away with the mindset that they are not good actors, regardless of how you feel about the movie in general. I really wish I could understand how people form their opinions on acting.
@pippin-katz posted about and I quote "Little riff of string and flute notes when Taylor and Nicholas’ credit card appears" which is just so cute and delightful, I wanted to add what they were talking about for reference but turns out you can't add videos in reblogs so here
with all these nights we're spending (my broken bones are mending)
Happy Saturday! I present to you 13k words of Prince Henry and Night Guard Alex <3
*rated M, 13.2k words
*read it on AO3
Summary:
It’s unexpected, and the softness that Prince Henry maintains is a shock to his system.
It makes him want to say something, even if it’s only to ask how his day was or to request an explanation for why he spent nearly fifteen fucking minutes looking at Cupid and Psyche with a forlorn look in his eyes. When he moves on, Alex gazes up at the sculpture and tries to discern the magic that must have captured the prince’s attention, but he comes up with no answers.
Which makes him want to ask more.
But he isn’t supposed to.
----
Or, Alex is the new V&A night guard and Henry is the prince that Alex has been explicitly instructed to leave alone.
I've never done one of these before, but seeing as I have no idea when I'll ever be done with any of the one shots I'm working on/want to work on, I figured I'd share what I have lmfao
Here's the beginning of a one shot I'm working on called Texas Tattoo:
Alex will not admit it, but his heart is about to beat out of his chest. This is not how he was expecting his first tattoo experience to go, but there is nothing he can do about it now. The room around him is a mess of blurry shapes and white noise. His mouth is dry and his hands are strategically hiding inside the ends of his sweater to prevent anyone from noticing them shaking.
He wants to call this whole thing off, but he takes one look at Nora's shit-eating grin and knows he can't. He just can't do it. Not with way June is watching him skeptically. Not with the delighted expression on Pez' face. Their opinions and feelings on the situation are plain as day. If he backs out now, they will never let it go. He will be on his deathbed and one of them will say, "Remember the time you chickened out of bet that was your idea?"
Their faces say it all.
In contrast, the one person Alex wishes he could read is giving away nothing. Henry has a simple, neutral smile. His eyes are a mixture of emotions that are preventing him from being able to tell what any of them mean. Alex can't tell if he's comforted by the face that he's not openly gloating, or more terrified by the mystery.
He chews on his lip as he recalls how he ended up in this situation.
Cool, so, yeah... lmfao I didn't get tagged or anything, I just wanted to share. No one feel pressured to tag me though, cause I have no idea if I'll have enough to post for future WIP Wednesdays so I don't want to disappoint anyone lol
