Eddie isn’t sure how long he has been staring at Steve’s Little League trophy. But he’s just about certain he is now inspecting it so closely – even from the distance of the sweaty comfort of Steve’s bed and tight embrace – that it needs dusting.

Their breathing has evened out now, bare chests pressed together and moving in perfect sync.

Steve is tucked between the crook of Eddie’s neck and a rather crumpled pillow as they lay together, legs intertwined amongst twisted bedsheets.

Eddie runs a delicate finger up Steve’s back, moving over the scars that rise and fall like valleys and sweeping hills as he continues to stare ahead.

He isn’t sure if Steve is even asleep yet. The guy usually conks out after a few minutes. But his body still feels tense – as if he is clinging onto Eddie like a liferaft.

Plus he isn’t snoring at the volume of a lawn mower directly in his ear either.

“Steve?” he whispers.

“Hrmpf?”

He puffs out the sweetest little sigh, his breath ghosting across Eddie's shoulder.

“Are you okay?” he says, unsuccessfully hiding a gulp and a sniffle.

Tonight was quiet and slow. Tender and painfully gentle.

They get like that sometimes.

And it’s a lot – during and after. Enough that Steve got a little teary as they were lazily cleaning up enough to fall against the mattress in a heap. Enough that Eddie feels tears prickling up now as he thinks about this very new and overwhelming desire to clean Steve’s bedroom.

But he’ll have to be brave and dare ask where the vacuum is first.

Steve loosens his grip, lifting his head just enough so Eddie can get a look at him.

His eyes are hooded, sleepy of course. Eddie can feel a barely-receded blush creep back up his cheeks as Steve’s eyes search his teary own.

“Yeah,” Steve answers, giving a small smile, “Are you okay?”

He detangles himself enough to reach his hand up and swipe a thumb under Eddie’s eye, catching a stray tear.

Eddie nods and pulls Steve closer.

I’ve mentioned it before but I’m a fucking sucker for unhealthy dependent relationships. There’s just something about them that is so. Chef’s kiss 👌

Anyway I’m still thinking about how Law was so attached to Cora and was so traumatized by his death that he literally devoted thirteen YEARS of his life to revenge killing Doflamingo. Even though all Cora ever wanted was for Law to just be free and live his life happily. And Law spending all his time in a hateful revenge spiral is literally the exact OPPOSITE of what Cora wanted for him. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE. If the thirteen years of endless devotion to avenging his savior wasn’t enough Law 1. Named his pirate crew the Heart Pirates in honor of Cora, 2. Covered himself in permanent heart-themed tattoos in honor of Cora, and 3. Fashioned his Jolly Roger to be a mockery of Doflamingo’s and ALSO to honor Cora. Homie is a walking memorial for a man he only really knew for six months and again crafted the most intricate plan known to mankind to murder Cora’s killer. Because losing Cora fucked him up THAT much. Because even though Cora set him free, the moment Doflamingo shot him Law was chained to the memory of a man who no longer existed. Law literally fashioned his entire life down to his own appearance after Cora and it makes me so insane. I cannot even imagine what went through his head after Dressrosa I mean how do you move on after a thirteen year grudge is put to rest. What is he supposed to do now. Avenging Cora was literally his entire existence, his entire reason for living for half of his life. He needs therapy probably. If Cora somehow ever did come back to life Law would lose his fucking mind. The dependency is SO unhealthy and I am SO here for it

Thinking about Sam and how central autonomy and violation is to his character. How many times and ways he had his choice taken away throughout the series. All the things we don’t know about his time with Lucifer, but are also so heavily implied that we do.

Imagining he eventually gets out of The Life and becomes a victim’s advocate. He ultimately decides not to try and pursue law school at this stage in his life—it’s been so long and so much has changed—but finishes his bachelor’s and pursues a master’s in social work. He never expected to end up here: the boy with the demon blood, no longer living out some doomed and twisted fate, helping people. He’s passionate about representing those made most vulnerable and unsafe in their own skin, supporting others as they come out the other side survivors, lending the compassion he’s always struggled to have for himself. Every time he listens to someone else’s story, helps connect them to resources, advocates for their case, he heals a little bit too.

not to get ahead of myself but thinking abt future opla zolu made me a little emotional bc depending on how many seasons the show manages to get, there's high chances of seeing so many of luffy and zoro's moments. and the thing is - there's a lot of them? their relationship is built upon all these moments and interactions, some small, some big, some when they're not even together but still end up referencing or mirroring one another in some way. it's just so good. I can remember more than few off the top of my head in alabasta, jaya, skypiea, water 7/enies lobby, thriller bark, sabaody etc and that's just pre-timeskip. opla has so much potential to go absolutely bonkers with these two I'm unwell

I love Tang cause like, he was definitely suspicious that his name was Tang, and that he had a friend named Pigsy, who had a friend named Sandy, and then MK and Mei (who is a descendant of the dragon of the west) came along, and you know the entire time in the back of his head he was thinking "oh my god we're the pilgrims????", but at the same time, how could they be? He's just Tang, he's not comparable to the great Monk Tang Sanzang. And Pigsy isn't Zhu Bajie, he's just Pigsy. They're just them. And besides, he met Pigsy's parents. It make absolutely no sense! (Deep down he knows it's true)
