Idk how to say it but- Insomniac Spider-Man is like:
love is the strongest thing you have, and it will destroy you. love is the thing that makes you reach for your better self, and it's the thing that makes you your worst. love is the buoy, love is the anchor, love is the albatross around your neck and the concrete around your feet. love is the truth, and love is the lie. love will save the world, as surely as it will destroy it. love is the thing you must hold on to, and the thing you must let go of. hold on. let go. hold on. let go. it’s a dance. life is the music that keeps playing long after you’ve stopped. you stop dancing so the music can still play.

@atimebomb liked for a starter! (For Norman)
The laboratory is never fully silent. There's always the soft hum of electronics, the quiet whir of machinery or the soft crackle of sketches on paper, because no matter how advanced the holotable Norman has, Harry still thinks best with pencil and paper.
The room is mostly quiet, however, and the faint noises are not enough to wake Harry up, head resting over an arm and arms over dozens of scribbled formulas, of ideas and attempts and considerations that exhaustion had not let Harry continue.
He only blinks awake as he hears steps approaching, and even then it takes him a moment to be fully aware of them. But he recognizes them.
"Dad?" He mumbles, stifling a yawn, and only then realizing he'd fallen asleep hunched over the desk. For a moment he considers pretending otherwise, then he abandons the idea. It's far from the first time it happens anyway.
On the corner, alone and safe and away, and as dreaded as it is hope, rests a sealed pale green vial.

So like 95% of Miraculous Ladybug, the idea of Gabriel dying and asking Marinette not to tell Adrien the truth about him isn't inherently a bad idea. Marinette not wanting to tarnish Adrien's perception of his father is an understandable character motivation since she wouldn't want to hurt the person she loves. This exact thing happened in Spider-Man 1 in which Norman asked Peter not to tell Harry the truth about him. Yet the big difference between Gabriel and Norman is that while the latter had an evil alter ego who took control of him and made him do terrible things, Gabriel doesn't have that excuse since he fully knew what he was doing. While both may not have been the best fathers, Spider-Man 1 established that Norman loved his son. Yet Miraculous Ladybug has showcased the exact opposite between Gabriel's emotional abuse, gaslighting, and even physically harming his son even after learning he's Chat Noir! So for the show to tell me that Adrien's perception is his father would be ruined if he learned the truth about his father is BS! If anything, it would serve as an explanation to Adrien as to why his father was a piece of crap.
Furthermore, this show isn't going to do this plot thread justice given the show's track record. I guarantee that when Adrien discovers that Marinette has been keeping this huge secret from him, he won't be mad at all. Knowing this show, they'll have Adrien fall even more in love with Marinette and be touched that she wanted to spare his feelings!

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered." - Nelson Mandela
Hey, hey, people, Greg Owlman here. What? Did you expect someone else? Now, I know that it has been nearly a year since last we saw one another, but I have a valid excuse this time. Stuff happened. That's right, this is my excuse, and I am sticking to it. Sufficient to say is that on the Internet, it's best not to give away too much about yourself. However, posting your opinions, whether they are relevant or not, is another matter entirely. Where was I again? Right, I was just about to tell you about our newest offer. A THREE-IN-ONE COMBO PACKAGE, ALL FOR THE PRICE OF ONE. You heard it right folks, its three ideas for one post. A real doozy and a downright steal considering the economy. Not convinced, let me give you a taste of things that might have been.
"I need more photos of Spider-Man!" ; a classic meme about our favorite Web Crawler, but you want to know what's not a classic or favoured by anyone with taste? The answer is the current run of the Amazing Spider-Man title, which it's best described as the Paul Rabin SI/OC story. Dear lord, I can't even call this a narrative let alone a story. Are we sure it isn't Dan Slott writing under a pseudonym? He is doing another Superior WHO run afterwards? Jeez, not only is there another lame fanfiction in official printing, but we also have to deal with the Superior Spider-Man 3: The Revengeance instead of the Amazing Spider-Man 3 for crying out loud. Anyways, let's clean up this mess shall we? First off, no more Paul. Forget he exists and let's assume everything done following the Spider-Man Beyond didn't happen. Peter Parker has finally beaten those allegations and gotten his doctorate, hallelujah. Let's be honest, Peter is nearly in his late twenties and he doesn't need to deal with academics anymore than the rest of us. He is back working at the Daily Bugle again under Robbie as his go-to guy regarding science since it neatly combines two aspects about Spidey, his past working for the press and his love for science. But, Peter wants something more suited towards research and development. Here comes old Norman Osborn, stalking Peter once more since he wants the two of them to work together and is trying to break the ice regarding the fate of baby May Parker. You know Peter and MJ's newborn who supposedly died, but was actually kidnapped by Norman? Yeah, that May. Anyways, besides these things, Peter is facing his biggest challenge yet, which is being content with his life and beginning to find his happiness. Who is he dating, you might ask? Well, the way I see it, Peter might just deal with a burgeoning polyamorous relationship between him, MJ and Felicia, after all if it worked for the X-Men, it will work for these guys. Also, the way I see it, Peter is doing a lot more team-ups this time around rather than being forced to solo it. I want a proper New Avengers reunion, dang it!
Todd Howard at it again with his newest classic, Skyrim IN SPACE! I am not the first to say that Starfield is average at best, but that has to do mostly with the fact that Bethesda kept under wraps and didn't interact with their audience to receive feedback while they could still change the game. But I am not here to rant about the game, there are plenty of people doing that. Instead, I will present my own vision about what it could have been. First of all, I would restrict the number of systems to only a handful, after all quality trumps quantity every time. Second of all, I would move most of the major settlements to one world. That planet being Proxima Centauri b since apparently Alpha Centauri is a bust and we can't blame the Stranger from Outer Wilds regarding cloaking those worlds. If you are curious about how the maps would look like here are some Reddit threads that had the closest things in mind to my idea, the images belong to their respective creators. Here are the links: https://reddit.com/r/imaginarymaps/s/ASsmDhI3du and https://reddit.com/r/imaginarymaps/s/bVFWQGzk33 . Personally, I would have liked for all recruitable crew members to have a loyalty mission or even some recurring mini quests other than the stuff we needed to do in order to get them. With that in mind, maybe they could have added more dialogue options for the members of Constellation that don't get to interact with the main character as much. Looking at you, Mateo. Or maybe have the same aforementioned treatment, but sadly, old Toady boy decided that it isn't too cash money to implement. Also, am I the only one not really interested with whatever the Freestar Rangers plotline is doing? Sure, exposing the corruption hidden in plain sight within the Collective is all fine and dandy, but maybe we could have gotten something more exciting like uncovering a conspiracy to create psychic super soldiers and agents of a vague, yet menacing, government agency à la Firefly. Would have been way more fun than playing Space Texas Ranger. Speaking of factions, maybe they could have added some benefits to joining them other than getting a nice apartment at the end, like a monthly salary, the ability to skip contraband searches every once in a while or even discounts at affiliated shops for crying out loud. Honestly, at this point maybe it would be better to play Star Sector rather than give you guys idea about modding an economic simulation in a Bethesda game, thereby letting you play the role of a space merchant à la Salvor Hardin from Asimov's Foundation series. The books, not the TV series.
Star Wars is a long way from home. Honestly, a lot of the stuff that Disney has done is a hit or miss, therefore the expanded material such as books and especially comic books have been carrying the franchise moreso than the movies or the shows. If it were up to me, I would just send the Sequels down the way of the dinosaurs, but sadly they are here to stay in all their uncreative glory. Therefore, I will not waste my time or yours with talking about anything after the Original Trilogy in terms of chronology. Oh, dear readers, what I have mind will take us all over the timeline. Honestly, I like the High Republic era, but they could have just said that the Republic lost contact with the Outer Rim territories after the Great Hyperspace Disaster than saying they haven't even been explored yet. Another thing that I liked is Star Wars Visions, which explores various themes and ideas while using the GFFA as background material without necessarily incorporating the stories into the timeline. Where am I going with this? Well, I have been wondering what if there were stories set throughout the Star Wars galaxy that we just haven't heard about and they are canon? I mean, we have a blank slate spanning thousands of years past and future, where we can incorporate our own stories regarding this galaxy far, far away without worrying about existing material contradicting us and these small chapters in the very large book that we call history could have consequences on the movie era stories or even happen long after these events passed. This is an opportunity, that too few authors online that I have seen have taken since most of them prefer to stick to what we already seen. As such, I duly elected myself to notify you about taking this chance by the jugular and see how far you can stretch the material. Have fun!
Now that I have presented my offer, all I can say that it's good to make a comeback even if no one will take notice of it. Also, I will take this opportunity to mention that my last post regarding Star Trek Discovery and how it could have been improved has done better than expected, therefore it would be great if you would spread the love to those other lonely posts of mine. Enough shilling and let's properly end this new chapter in my little corner of the platform.
This has been Greg for Owlman's Previously Owned Ideas. We do not advise you to trust Todd Howard's little lies ever again. We also do no refunds.

“Fine line” Part II

Peter Parker x Reader x Harry Osborn

SERIES MASTERLIST | MY MASTERLIST
You couldn't help the hiss that escaped your lips as Peter gently padded the cut on your shoulder with gauze.
"Sorry" He flinched, "I'm being as soft as I can…"
"I know, Pete, it's ok" You reassured him.
He sighed,
"No, it's not. I'm good at this, god knows I've had practice, but I'm not a doctor…" nonetheless, he grabbed the needle and medical thread, "You should have let Simmons take a look at you"
"She was rather busy"
"I know" Peter was well aware of the carnage, the attack on the city had been vicious. S.H.I.E.L.D Tower now laid in ruins, hundreds of agents hurt or even…
"Your sister is going to be ok" He reassured you. Again. You nodded, swallowing through the knot on your throat. Peter finished his work, placing the softest, most careful of kisses right under the injury. He knew how scared, how worried you were. He knew that was the reason you didn't let doctor Simmons take care of you, cause you didn't want to distract her from tending to Daisy.
"I mean it" He insisted, "She's strong, just like you"
"Yeah, I know" You sighed, "I just wish we were smarter"
You had been naive, the both of you, in believing you had seen the last of the Goblin for the night, not realizing the whole incident with Harry had been just a distraction.
But the Goblin had miscalculated too, he hadn't counted on your whole former team being in the city to meet your boyfriend. All of S.H.I.E.L.D'S best and brightest in the same place, at the same time.
That mistake had ultimately cost him his life.
"What happened to Norman?" You hadn't stuck around for the clean up, too occupied taking an unconscious Daisy, and other badly hurt agents, into the med bay of the Zephyr to get treated. "To the body, I mean"
Peter avoided your eyes, instead choosing to keep wrapping a bandage around your shoulder.
"Peter?"
"I took him back home" He finally blurted out, still not meeting your gaze, "His home, I mean. I know Fury probably wanted to study him or something but I just… Harry, I couldn't- his father, disappearing just like that? Harry deserves to know, he deserves to know his father is not coming back. O-or if S.H.I.E.L.D didn't take the body... I couldn't let Harry find him like that, all broken and bloody on the street. I just-... I just couldn't…"
It clicked then, watching your boyfriend's tear streaked face. All the late night phone calls, talking till sunrise, all the times his patrols around the city had taken him to Oscorp, his diving head first tonight to save Harry, suddenly it all made sense.
"You're in love with him"
"So are you" It wasn't an accusation, just the statement of a fact. You weren't really surprised he had realized, not when he could hear your heartbeat quicken whenever Harry showed up in the news.
The silence fell between you like ghost, a heavy presence, invisible but suffocating, for several moments, until Peter gathered enough courage to break it,
"I still love you, Six. This doesn't change that"
"I know," you sighed, "I still love you too"
"What are we going to do now?" He looked about as lost as you felt.
"I don't know, Peter…"
"I- I don't want to lose you" He choked out a sob.
"You won't" You stood, pulling him in, wrapping your arms around him. He held onto you hard, almost so hard it hurt, but you couldn't let go. You wouldn't. "You won't lose me, Peter, ever. Not for this, not for anything"
He leaned back just enough to crush his lips to yours, pouring all his desperation, all his fear and guilt into a bittersweet kiss. His arms wound even tighter around you in an iron grip, afraid if he let go for just a second, you would disappear from his side.
"Don't leave me… please don't leave me" He didn't realize the words were escaping his mouth between kisses until your answer reached his ears, soothing like a balm:
"I won't. I'm never leaving you"
The ground was swept from under your feet, as Peter picked you up, bridal style. He needed you, his sunshine, his anchor to-
"I'm sorry to interrupt, Peter" Karen's voice resonated through the apartment, "But Harry Osborn is in the lobby, asking for you"
You both froze. It wasn't completely unexpected, you knew how brilliant the blonde heir was under that frivolous bad boy façade, but Peter seemed to be taken by surprise. He searched your eyes, silently begging for guidance, but deep down, he knew what the right thing to do was, the only possible course of action.
"Send him up" He ordered Karen, gently setting you down on your feet again.
"Of course, Peter" The AI replied, with what Peter could have sworn was approval, if that was even possible.
You found a silk robe to put on over your flimsy summer pajamas, covering your body not out of modesty, but to somewhat conceal the bandages and bruises littering your skin. Peter smiled, it was just like you to hide your vulnerabilities, especially if you were expecting a confrontation. He took your hand, and you stepped out of the bedroom together. Come what may, you knew you could face it, as long as you had each other.
"Harry!" The gasp left Peter's throat unbidden, as soon as his eyes fell on his friend. It was a pitiful sight, the blonde still wearing the same clothes from last night, rumpled and dirty, the stench of alcohol coming out of his pores, so strong even you without your super senses could smell it from the other side of the room. He rushed to him, couldn't help it, but Harry's words stopped him dead in his tracks, in the middle of the living room.
"It was you wasn't it? You killed my father. I broke into his lab, read his files… he was the Goblin. Did you know?"
"Harry-"
"DID YOU KNOW IT?!"
Peter hesitated, but in the end he answered honestly.
"Yes"
"And you still killed him… you knew he was my father, and you still killed him!"
You took a step forward, subtly placing yourself between them; you knew your boyfriend would not defend himself if Harry was to lash out, probably believing he deserved it.
"No, Harry. I did." Peter might have knocked the monster out, but the coup de grâce had been all you. You could try to defend yourself, to make excuses, say you were following orders, that he was too dangerous to live. But the truth was, when you had seen Daisy go down, bleeding, her body shattered, limbs bent in strange, wrong angles, you had seen red. You would have done the exact same thing, even without director Fury's voice in your ear.
"The Goblin almost killed her sister" Peter intertwined his fingers with yours. Of course he would advocate for you even if he wouldn't for himself, "and he also... hurt Kate" Understatement of the fucking century, but at least her injuries weren't life threatening.
Harry crumbled in front of your eyes, all the fight leaving him at once.
"He tried to kill me too" His own dad, the one person in the world who was supposed to love him unconditionally, had tried to murder him. Without flinching, without hesitating, all to mess with Spider-Man's head. Had Peter made a different call, go for you instead of him...
"The serum that transformed him affected his mind, Harry" You pointed out, consoling, "We don't know how much of your father was left inside the Goblin"
Harry scoffed, it would have been easier to believe your words if it had been the first time. But he could still remember, if only barely, the cold water of the pool in winter, lungs burning with lack of oxygen, his small legs kicking desperately, uselessly, and his father's blue eyes, colder than the water, watching him from above, doing nothing. Until the gardener had saved him
No, Norman Osborn had been a monster long before becoming the Goblin.
And what did that make Harry, then? Why had he come looking for Peter and you? At first he had thought he wanted blood, but now, having the both of you in front of him, he wasn't so sure.
Without your battle uniforms, you didn't look like the super human, terrifying villains his alcohol ridden brain had built you up to be. Standing there, bare feet in your sleeping clothes you were frail, vulnerable. Red eyed and bruised, you looked almost as bone weary and exhausted as he felt.
He couldn't do it.
"Did you mean it?" He managed to get out through the sobs shaking his frame, "What you said back on top of that building? Tha-that it's the choices we make and… and not what we are… th-that define us?"
Peter sidestepped you, advancing towards Harry.
"Every word" Slowly, ever so slowly, like approaching a wild animal he didn't want to spook, he reached out, "Give me the gun, Harry"
Harry's eyes went wide, but he complied, untucking the small 9 mm from the back of his waistband. He handed it over to Peter, who in turn offered it to you. Quick as lightning, you released the latch, unloading it and tossing it on the coffee table.
"I'm sorry" Harry croaked between tears, "I'm so sorry"
He hadn't noticed how cold he was, until Peter enveloped him in his warm embrace.
"It's ok, Haz" You heard him whisper, "It's going to be ok. We got you now…"
"Make it stop" Harry's cries were muffled against your boyfriend's shoulder, but you still could feel the pain in his voice, loud and clear. It hurt like a physical blow to your chest, knocking the air out of you. You had tried, you really had, but apparently your feelings for the blue eyed boy weren't as under control as you had thought "Please… make it stop"
He wasn't even conscious of the words leaving his mouth, as he begged to a god he didn't believe in, to whoever might be listening, for something to numb the pain. To feel anything else than that soul crushing agony consuming him.
Peter's eyes found yours, a silent request for permission. You didn't know what was in his mind, but you trusted him, with more than your life: You trusted him with your heart.
You nodded. It was all Peter needed. He cupped Harry's face with his hands, and kissed him.
It was surreal. Suddenly, you were witnessing your boyfriend passionately making out with the man that had been haunting your dreams for months, and you should have felt jealousy or betrayal, but the truth was, those were the furthest things from your mind. Because Harry seemed to be finally kissing back, fingers tangling in Peter's curls, still wet from your shared shower, tugging just enough for the brunet to let out the most delicious little whimper and fuck, but that had to be the hottest thing you had ever seen in your life.
And Peter had probably felt the change in you, the rising in your temperature, the beating of your heart, cause he reached for your hand without even looking, pulling you closer, guiding the blond man towards your lips. His once familiar mouth quickly reacquainted itself with yours, tongue exploring, teeth nibbling softly. The shock sent shivers down your spine, as Peter's hands opened your robe, sliding the cool silk down your arms. His lips on your neck had your head spinning, and you had to hold onto Harry's strong shoulders to stop yourself from falling.
"Hello" He breathed out as you broke the kiss, cursing your need for oxygen.
"Hi" You smiled, "It's been too long"
"Far too long" Harry agreed, the beautiful ocean of his eyes, dark and turbulent with lust.
Peter didn't stay idle for long, agile fingers working open Harry's shirt, stepping closer, pushing your body further into Harry's space. It wasn't long till you found yourself trapped between two naked, equally stunning torsos, pushing and pulling, as Peter's and Harry's lips collided again over your shoulder.
You felt your boyfriend's hand slip inside your sleeping shorts, teasing you over your panties.
"Peter" You reached back, arm hooked on the back of his neck for purchase, as he tugged your underwear to the side, and buried two fingers inside your tight heat.
"Fuck!"
Startled, you opened the eyes you hadn't even realized you had closed. You were ashamed to admit you had pretty much forgotten the other man's presence, Peter was just that good, knew your body that well, but Harry was still standing in front of you, eyes fixed on the erotic way Peter's hand was moving inside your shorts. His other hand lowered the straps of your camisole one by one, baring your chest to Harry's wonderstruck stare.
The moan that escaped your lips as Peter started expertly massaging your breast finally pulled the golden haired man out of his trance,
"Can I…"
"Touch her?" Peter finished for him, placing a sweet kiss on your temple, as your head rolled back, coming to rest on his chest, "I don't know, buddy. You'll have to ask her"
You heard Harry's voice, but it was hard to concentrate with Peter's fingers penetrating you over and over again, grazing that perfect spot inside you every time. Peter chuckled a little smugly,
"Baby girl, is it ok if Harry touches you?"
"Yes!" You panted, at last "Yes, please, Harry… touch me"
He did more than that, lips closing around the nipple not currently between Peter's fingers, hands roving all around your body, tearing and ripping at clothes with Peter's help, until you were completely naked, and completely at their mercy.
Your boyfriend laid you down on the massive chaise lounge that dominated the living room, yellow, like almost everything else on your apartment, he wanted everything to remind him of his sunflower when you weren't there. He positioned you so your legs would hang out the border, guiding Harry to kneel between them.
"Bossy, aren't you?" The blond quipped, playfully.
"Oh, you have no idea" Peter smirked from behind his back, turning his head to capture his lips again in the filthiest of kisses. You watched Peter's hands trail down Harry's chest, lower down his abs and further south stil, undoing his button and his fly, disappearing inside his pants.
Your breath catched at the same time as his, when Peter's hand closed around his member, slowly pumping up and down, up and down, the same hypnotic, insanity inducing rhythm you had taught him a lifetime ago on a tropical island.
Harry's head fell forward, eyes closed in bliss, but that was when Peter saw you.
"Naughty girl," He murmured, eyes zeroing in the way your index finger was rubbing circles on your clit, "you know I hate it when you do that…"
Your smirk was defiant,
"What are you going to do about it?" You let your other hand travel over your skin, caressing softly, teasing yourself as much as teasing him "You have your hands full"
"I'll take care of her" Haz was looking at you longingly, "Please, Peter… let me take care of her…"
"Hmmm… only because you ask so nicely" Peter's words were a little slurred, and you knew he was drunk with the power. Having both you and Harry to dominate, to do as he said was making him dizzy, almost overwhelmed.
But for once, having his senses dialed up to eleven wasn't painful, no. He was in heaven.
"Put your mouth on her, Haz… she's fucking delicious, tastes just like strawberries…"
Harry bent over, licking his lips, eyes fixed on yours. The movement pressed his ass against Peter's hard on, making him hiss.
"Can I-"
"Yes, please"
Your boyfriend tugged both Harry's pants and boxers down. You couldn’t see exactly what he was doing, but Harry’s handsome face, contorting in pleasure, gave you a pretty good idea.
"Oh, god, Harry!" You gasped as his tongue, at last, made contact with your flesh.
He hummed as if in agreement, flattening his tongue over your slit before using the tip to tap your pearl. Your hand flew to his head, finding purchase in his golden curls as he licked into you eagerly, rocking his whole face against you.
He was nothing like Peter. This was messy, obscene, it lacked Peter's finesse and precision, but fuck it was good.
You could feel the coil tighten inside you, already so close to the brink from Peter's hand, but just as it was about to snap, Harry's lips left you.
"Oh, fuck!" His curse was muffled against your thigh. You could see your boyfriend's curls over the curve of Harry's back and you could only guess what his wicked tongue was doing to the boy between your legs.
"Oh yeah, he's quite talented at that isn't he?" You giggled despite your frustration
"So good" Harry moaned, "So so good…"
Peter came into view then, placing kisses along Harry's spine.
"If you want my mouth on you" He whispered in his ear, loud enough for you to hear, "keep yours on her"
Harry nodded, enthusiastically.
"And make sure she comes," He went on, "that's the only rule: Our girl gets to come… Over, and over," He punctuated every word with a kiss down Harry's back again, "and over, and over…"
The most wanton of noises left Harry and you knew conversation time was over as he dove right back in, separating your lips with his fingers, thrusting his tongue inside you as deep as it would go. Your back arched off the chaise, crying out loud when Harry decided to add a finger, and then another one, as his lips closed around your clit, sucking a little too hard.
It was too much.
"Haz… fuck, ah!... Slow down, baby"
"Keep going, Harry" Peter's tone was stern, as he watched you writhe in pleasure. He was on his knees again, coating two of his fingers with lube. When had he gone and fetch it, you had no idea. "Make her come… god you have to see her, she is so gorgeous when she comes…"
And it wasn't going to take long, with the way Harry's tongue was circling your clit and the vibrations from his own moans and sweet little whines, you could feel yourself right at that edge, all you needed was something to tip you over.
Harry's hand made its way to your chest, finding your breast and massaging just the way you liked it, the way you had done earlier. He was a fast learner. But you didn't have much time to marvel about that, cause you were finally falling, every nerve of your body going up in sparks, your cries of ecstasy intermingling with his, as Peter finally, finally entered him, torturously slow, making him feel every lavish inch.
The stronger boy's measured but powerful thrusts pushed Harry's body forwards. He wrapped his arms around your waist, burying his face on your stomach, mouth slack against your skin, muffling his sounds.
"Careful there," Peter warned, slowing down his movements almost to a stop, "She's hurt"
Harry opened his eyes, and they came to rest on your bruised ribs. You could see the thoughts behind his icy blues crystal clear, the misplaced guilt twisting a knot in his entrails: His father had done that to you. But you refused to let those heavy feelings invade your bubble of solace, refused to let his father ruin this for him too. Squaring your jaw, you looked up at Peter,
"What are you waiting for, Tiger?" Your boyfriend's eyes went wide at your commanding tone, "Fuck him like you mean it"
Peter gulped, goosebumps erupting on his skin. Oh yeah, he might be a big boy now, but your dominant voice could still make him weak. He wondered absently if it was simply you, and everything you did, that turned him to putty in your hands.
"Yes, ma'am" He grabbed onto Harry's hips, picking up his rhythm.
"Oh god!" Harry sobbed into your skin. You ran your hand through his curls, caressing soothingly.
"He feels good, doesn't he? So hard and big…"
"So big…" The blonde agreed, "so deep…"
"How does Harry feel, Peter?"
Your boyfriend was biting his lip, looking down, fixated on the place he was disappearing inside Harry.
"So good, so fucking tight…"
You sighed, yearningly. They were breathtakingly, heartbreakingly beautiful. All lean and strong muscles, locking and releasing, miles of soft creamy skin colliding on skin, tiny beads of sweat glistening in the soft morning light. It was fascinating, watching them move together, the dirty sounds leaving them more than enough to make you wet and ready again.
But before you could say something, you felt Harry's turquoise stare on you.
"Six… I need you, please" He pleaded, small and shy, as if afraid you would say no. You looked at Peter for reassurance, but he was already bending over, reaching for Harry's cock and unrolling a condom around it, pushing him further up your body. The blond whined in complaint when the movement caused Peter to slip out of him.
"You liked that, didn't you?" Your boyfriend moved closer, kissing his shoulder, "Like me filling you up so good…"
Harry and you moaned in unison, making him chuckle.
"It's her turn now. She needs to be filled too. So go on, bury that gorgeous cock of yours between her legs" Peter encouraged, softly, his tone a stark contrast to the vulgarity of his words, "and I will fuck you so hard she will feel it"
Harry cursed, Peter’s dirty mouth was going to be the death of him, he just knew it.
No, he was already in heaven, he decided, as he braced himself on his forearms at each side of your head, taking his sweet time entering you. He would be lying if he said he hadn’t thought about this, the truth was he had, a million times. In fact, every time he had taken a girl that looked just enough like you into his bed. But they were never quite right. Never had your perfume, or their hair was the wrong color, or their eyes were the wrong shade. Now it was really you, and never in his wildest dreams had he pictured it could be like this, your breathy moans underneath him, your heat embracing him so perfectly… As your boyfriend did obscene, immoral, delicious things to him from behind, driving him right to the brink of sanity.
And he didn't waste any time, thrusting hard and fast. Soon, Harry was a sobbing mess, trapped as every move to escape Peter’s cock drove him deeper into you, every motion backwards and away from you impaling him further on Peter’s cock. There wasn’t much he could do, but take whatever Peter gave him.
You clung onto his back, blunt fingernails digging into his skin,
“I'm going to come… Harry, I'm going to come on your cock”
Fuck, you were just as dirty as your boyfriend. And it was truth, he could feel it, feel your walls quivering around his dick, feel your body starting to shake with the force of your orgasm. Peter bended over, grabbing hold of his shoulders, changing the angle, hitting his prostate over and over, white hot pleasure exploding without warning. Harry drown his screams into your mouth, his climax almost painful in it’s intensity, his vision going black.
“…Alright, then what about the Academy of Science and Technology?”
You made a face,
“You need at least one PhD to get in…”
“I got a master’s in engineering, does that count?”
“You could get into the Academy of Communications with that” Peter interjected, lazily caressing your naked back. The three of you were in bed, a mess of legs and arms intertwined together, as the sun went down over the city outside.
“That’s the easiest of S.H.I.E.L.D’s academies to get into, right?” Harry mused. Freedom, what a strange thing it was: He had spent his whole life craving it, wishing to be able to do whatever he wanted, go wherever he wanted, be with whoever he really wanted, without fear of his father judgement, without fear of his wrath, and now that he finally could… It was slightly terrifying.
A part of him almost felt guilty, for being so eager to tear apart everything his father had worked so hard for years to turn him into. For allowing himself to feel something this good not even 24 hours after his death. But a touch of your hand, or a glimpse of warm brown eyes, and it all faded away. His second thoughts, his doubts, his responsabilities… In fact, everything outside that bed faded away until there was nothing more than the three of you, alone in the world, still tangled together just talking and touching and basking in the afterglow.
You nodded,
“Data specialists and field agents. But I seriously think you could get into Operations, if you really want to”
“I think she’s right. I'm getting into the Academy of Operations this fall, and” Peter decided, finding Harry’s hand under the sheets, interlocking their fingers together “I really would like you to be there with me”
Harry was speechless. He had wish, he had dreamed, but he hadn’t let himself hope. That this… whatever it was, wild, and exiting, and delicate and precious between the three of you was not a one time thing. He had tried to convince himself that he would be fine if it was, that he was going to treasure it anyway, be glad it happened, enjoy it while it lasted. Even if it killed him the next day.
It was a fine line between happiness and heartbreak, the one he had been walking with you today.
“I… Well, I mean” He stammered “I think I would love to. Go with you, I mean. If I can get in, that is”
Peter and you exchanged a look, one of those silent communication things you seemed to always have going on, and he felt the littlest pang of envy. He wanted to be privy to those conversations, like he wanted to be a part of yours and Peter’s world. He wanted to know what the Cavalry was and why Peter seemed to be so scared of it. He wanted to be able to keep up with yours and Peter stamina. He wanted to spend so much time with you that not knowing your name stopped bothering him, cause he literally knew everything else about you, like Peter did. He wanted to speak the same language you two seemed to share…
And maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t an impossible dream. Because suddenly he found himself with an armful if you, capturing his lips in a possessive kiss that spoke of something deeper than lust and passion, something permanent and meaningful and as inescapable as fate, ‘You are ours now, you belong to us. And we are never letting you go'
Yeah, outside of that bed, the world had shifted again, fallen apart and crumbled to pieces for Harry just like it had for Peter almost a year before. And once you left it, you were going to have to face the aftermath. Harry was going to have to deal with the press, and the fact that his father was a villain. Peter would have to deal with his aunt, and Pepper and to not only explain his sexuality wasn’t conventional, but his relationship now wasn’t either. And you would have to deal with S.H.I.E.L.D, and the rebuilt, and to explain Fury and May how you had ended up with no one, but two boyfriends that had once been your mission. And none of you had any idea how you were going to do that. Or how you were going to make this between the three of you work, because the world was cruel, and didn’t take kindly to things that were different. But you knew the alternative was to painful to even think about it.
Truth was, there was a lot the three of you didn’t know. But there, in each others arms, watching the NYC lights start to shine outside the massive window, you knew one thing: You were going to be alright.
THE END.

TPN S02E09 - Initial Thoughts (anime-only)
[ Reaction video w/ captions/subs ] we collectively have a breakdown about the pen, please enjoy it pff-
.
... hmmm... yeah I... ain’t feeling it. I think my tpn feelings overall are carrying this more than anything pff. I didn’t hate it, it was just...... mediocre... like if this wasn’t tpn, I probably would have dropped it at this point.
BUT IT IS TPN SO LET’S GIVE SOME THOUGHTS.
.
. Random thoughts I don’t want to re-arrange
when Emma was like “share your pain with us!!”, I liked how Norman turned to Ray like “Ray. help. tell her I’m right” kind of like Ray did in s1 pfff-
Norman cried the words he didn’t allow himself to say in s1 :( I’M EMOTIONAL. it might not be the icing on the cake execution wise but GOD MY HEART. And knowing he’s going to die to it’s just- (well not if the pen has something to say about it but more about that later)
where- wheres my trio hug :((( RAY HUG THE CHILD NOW
it’s interesting that while Emma got the entire emotional speech spotlight, only Ray got a reaction shot to “I won’t live long”?? equivalent.... exchange...?
I thought Norman had a seizure when he broke down in front of Emma and Ray and I kinda wish he had because while it’s good to have him say it outright (a win for communicationnn), imagine THE ANGST. “I want to live with yo- *coughs up fountains of blood*”.
So. yknow that hideout Cislo or Vincent referenced when talking to Emma and Ray. Yknow where Norman hid the children they stole from farms, making it look like demons did it? ... w-what about them? will we see them? Are they getting left behind? it would have worked for Norman’s plan, since all they had to do was stay put and wait for demons to be yeeted. But now... he’d have to take them all too. But... I doubt we’re gonna introduce a bunch of new designs and characters? Or are we? Who knows. I don’t. I have unreasonably amount of protecc feelings for those children I’ve never even seen haha- WHERE ARE THEY. I mean... the plan rn is to immediately use the gate right? or is the plan to eradicte the GF farm staff and higher ups? I guess if thats the plan it might work. Or I guess the plan is to save Phil for now???
the idea of Sonju just... slicing his arm and throwing it at demons in a loop sounds so funny to me please someone make that.
I liked that Mujika turned to the lambda kids after giving a cup to the demon children but then we didn’t see their reaction or anything and then it cuts to the temple??? that was weird. was there sth missing there? confusion.
I also like Isabella remarking "[a radio] was supposed to be there" regarding the shelter, because it further heavily implies they know of the shelters and just let them be. Which further confirms that they should have just reframed the shelter and had the kids escape from it quickly but oH WELL.
I really liked demon Emma apologizing and Norman's reaction to that. it was a sweet little moment and like, the realization of apologizing for something that she didn't do but is aware of and all that. Cycle of hatred and all that shiz hell ye. Ik the anime won't rly delve into that but I kind of relish in the angst potential of the village - sure it was undone but some were still eaten and died and transforming people back won't bring those back. So, that’s some hella terrifying implications for families; and I'm assuming Norman is aware of those so. guilt time! not that he wasn't aware it was bad but yeah- I teared up at that moment :<<
I feel like this season really does its best when it’s doing the whole two worlds/species angle. Mujika and Sonju, the village, demon and human Emma... all that stuff.
I wish we had gotten more time (god this is really the season’s downfall) thought to see Vylk talk to the GF kids more often. it’s implied he told them not to hang out there before but I would have liked to have him show up a few more times before that but yeah. Runtime very RIP.
I also feel like CW is bending over backwards to put cliffhangers at the end of episodes. that was already a problem in s1 when they had Phil come in when Don and Gilda were in Isabella's room. it was obvious it'd be a copout but they still did it. I'm just wondering why we had to have Vincent disagree with the group to this extend (and if the shock value might play a part in that). we have 2 more episodes, why are they introducing more plot threads? Just streamline it you dofuses. I just don't know what good can come of it unless it's like an ultra big brain move to help them?? (and then we're back with the forcing cliffhangers thing) - if it's actual conflict, this'll just make things more confusing and clustered, and we don't have time for that right now imo. But who knows maybe it plays into something I just don't understand yet and it'll work out somehow
.
. Animation flow kinda dead.
I felt like this episode was kind of... awkwardly executed whenever something that was a slightly dynamic movement happened?
The whole bit while Emma is walking up to Norman could have been better, but it’s passable, except that a lot is spelled out for us.
But then she takes his hand really weirdly in a far away shot with bad inbetween timing?? what is that haha-
Or him collapsing is cut really weirdly. you barely really see it, you just kinda piece it together from Emma’s reaction and her catching him.
Most facial expressions are good though, which is arguably the more important part in this scene. I feel like a better execution just would have elevated it even more.
The only one I felt was really awkward in its entirety is Barbara’s scene with the children demons. I felt like that was in particular kind of stiff and the cut between the child and her was too sudden and felt jarring. TPN anime doesn’t really do that sort of stuff a lot, so imo it’s kind of “??” when they do it. With Norman it was too, but that at least had a good transition over to it (with bg and fg panning) and nice animation. Barbara’s just kind of switched. Tbh don’t switch it out, and as the child screams, switch over to her facial expression as her own voice fades into the scream? I think that would have done it too and also be low effort.
I think it’s moreso the flow of the shots than the actual shots though? it’s a bit too fast paced and sometimes missing inbetweens (like the wild demon eating sonju’s hand is literally just 2 frames) - it’s very weird. It’s jarring, but I can’t really explain why.
I’m sorry for the staff, I’m sure the production hasn’t been easy. maybe with the bluray release we’ll get some updated animations/inbetweens.
Some appreciation though:
as mentioned, most of the facial expressions, even if the body language was a bit stiff.
the cut from the trio talking to the eye-transition of the demon and the following breath animation looked nice. Also his arm regenerating!
Sonju smirking as he cuts his arm off, what a bastard
they didn’t have to show Vylk’s arm regenerating casually while they’re talking but they did.
.
. the lambda crew
If only I cared about you guys. Hahhh it’s just... introducing characters so close to the end is just. A mess. A recipe for disaster.
Where has the anime’s “show off the younger kids” angle gone? I thought they were always pretty good at that. but they haven’t really contributed anything since the whole tidbit about the older children always eating less for them. And even then it was just Lani and Thoma.
Potentially, what segments we saw in the shelter will come back for the GF raid thematically but I’m just... EH?
.
. the cure pen
at this point, just stick a syringe part at the end of the stick and just inject it and it’s gonna solve everything probably.
I just don’t understand why that needed to happen. Assuming they go to the human world, it’d be perfectly acceptable for me for medicine to be so advanced that it’d be able to like, lessen their symptoms and significantly improve their lifespan.
Don’t just... REMOVE their struggles. It’s okay to not be normal and cured. it’s okay for their lives to be impacted by it going forward. In fact, I’d much prefer that.
(added in later) OH wait they literally spell out why the cure being in the pen is meaningful - because it opens up a path where they can live through not having annihilated all the demons - it's essentially the moral "reward" for not killing them. Since they probably wouldn't have gotten it if they did that. I still think it wasn't needed and the blueprint on its own would suffice for another pen-convinience moment but I kind of get what they're going for, I just don't think it's worth it . In their case, going to the human world (while they don't know it) means having more medical expertise at their disposal which they can then use to survive. UNLESS they're actually not welcome over there and have to hide or something, in that case... that might be hard, true. I guess I'll come back to think about this once it's over. For now, it feels kind of unearned and it wouldn’t even have to be this way in my eyes which makes it somewhat worse.
But good, let’s say in-universe you need it NOW, then at least don’t put??? the medicine??? recipe??? INTO the hologram.
What if they just checked the GF blueprint and Norman goes “hey, Vincent... do you think this [database/archive room] could have some data on our experiments?” - Norman said he tried to develop a drug to help them but the supporters who had that data were purged. but... they had Smee to help them too. But SOMEHOW, a dude from 15 years ago just HAS the cure??? (at least let Norman develop it himself and have the data be just THE DATA and not the recipe).
It might still check out somewhat??
15+ years ago, James Ratri was assumingly still the gatekeeper since the switch to Peter seems somewhat recent considering his big "era of James has ended" speech.
I guess the implication is that just like Smee => Krone => Norman, a supporter all that time ago gave random person the pen when they escaped.
When Vylk found him, he also had just the data medium of the pen (not the entire pen), so maybe the farm thought they eliminated it and that’s why they didn’t change their methods to not work with those drugs anymore? It's still a bit curious that their experimentation hasn't changed at all in 15 years but maybe that's because they keep killing the smart people instead of making them scientists to research for them :D
Somewhere since those 15 years, Smee gave Krone the pen (probably a few years before she got to GF?), which means that at that point the gate the keyword "future" sent them to, was still in tact when Smee gave Krone the pen. Maybe WM wasn't discovered yet at that point?
then WM got discovered, James was chased. He made that phonecall update and was probably eventually killed, along with the human location (and likely bunkers since they knew a radio was supposed to be there, begs the question why they didn't remove it) being discovered (the one with the future keyword) and the gate there being destroyed.
The problem is just that it can make sense when you think about it for way too long and assume things in good-faith, but it still feels unearned.
Maybe I would care more or this would feel a little more earned if we knew ANYTHING about that person? They seemed fairly young, so it’s probably not Minerva/James Ratri. The “hope” talk reminded me of the book in the shelter, but I’m not sure if that checks out either? The cookies were rotten but not completely. I know cookies hold out relatively long, but would they rly not be completely rotten after 15 years? I MEAN. Maybe not. Who knows. I tried to google it but didn’t find anything.
But anyway. That tidbit is going into my “shelter kids OC project” I guess.
But even if the worldbuilding makes sense, I think the data set in itself makes little sense?? How did they find that pen part? Did a supporter give it to them? Why do they have the cure? Clearly their group of escapees wasn’t doing too hot (#help) and they seemed relatively young too so they probably couldn’t have worked in the farm.
Were the shelter escapees lambda escapees? but if that was the case, wouldn’t the WM group have secured the cure information more properly than in just one pen (maybe it was and those were just destroyed, to be fair) - it’s just WEIRD to put the cure for Lambda experiments on the same blueprint as the GF layout??? that makes so little sense.
Plus, why would you send them to GF, when it’s so secured and all that, and not just send them to the human support place our GF kids were sent with the “future” keyword, which had a gate. Maybe it didn’t exist 15 years ago (that the humans had control over it, that is), but even then it seems weird to me to imply to send them to GF instead of one of the other gates that existed. I mean. The “future” location’s gate wasn’t destroyed when Krone got the pen right?
I’m guessing maybe it was meant as help for escaping? But then again, why the cure? I guess if they met lambda experiments? I’m just confused.
Also: do we just accept that the layout of GUARDS and SECURITY MEASURES has not changed in 15 years???
.
*sigh* welp. Still looking forward to seeing some stuff with Isabella hopefully. Time... is not on their side and it shows. Neither run-time wise nor production wise.

NOT WHAT IT SEEMS (9)
Summary: Social Media AU; Y/N L/N, Peter Parker, and Harry Osborn are thick as thieves. Best friends till the end. They just don’t tell each other everything. Peter doesn’t know Y/N is in love with him, and Y/N doesn’t know he’s Spiderman. College is hard enough without all the secrets and lies. But everything has to come to light at some point? Doesn’t it?
A/N: This chapter is mostly text but there’s a few pictures also. Only two more chapters after this... (ps i see the typo in the text)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You are really sucking at this game,” Peter says laughing.
“What 20 year old has Guess Who anyway,” you say and flip-down more characters.
“Completely mature and grown-up ones. Duh,” he says and smiles cheekily.
“Your smile’s really cute,” you say and put your face down to hide how much you’re freaking out. You didn’t mean to say that comment aloud.
“Peter- I,” you say at the same time he says “Y/N, you-” and the two of you nervously giggle and he shakes his head.
“You first,” he says and you nod.
“I really like you, Pete,” you admit shyly.
“Thank fucking god,” he says and your head snaps up. “I really like you too.” And for a moment it feels like there aren’t any barriers between you. It doesn’t feel like you’re Black Cat, the vigilante thief who kills people. It just feels like you’re a girl. A girl in love with her best friend.
His eyes drift to your lips and you slowly lean in closer to him. You’ve been dreaming of kissing Peter Parker for far too long, and it finally is going to come true. Until he freezes and looks shaken.
“I- uh. I have to go,” he says suddenly and grabs his jacket before taking off. From his apartment. You have no idea what happened. Maybe this was all too much for him...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You use a grappling hook to swing near where the Avenger’s tower is. It’s late and the only thing illuminating the city is neon lights. The A on the tower shines bright, a symbol of hope for all people. All people who don’t see the greedy nature of Tony Stark, or annoying need to be good that Spiderman exudes. The need that jailed your ex-boyfriend instead of giving him the slow excruciating death he deserves. You take in a breath and release your retractable claws. There’s a fight to win.
You land on the building next to the tower and watch the scene unfold in the distance. Spiderman and Goblin are at fighting at the top of the building and it doesn’t look good. Harry’s throwing punches, but Spiderman dodges every one or swings out of their reach. Their skills are matched and Harry needs a tipping point to win. A tipping point that has your name written on it. You switch your comm to the channel Harry told you to use and perch yourself on the side of the building you’re on.
“Goblin, where’s the file,” you shout knowing that the file on the flashdrive is what matters most.
“By the glass door!” he yells back between grunts. You back up and take off running towards the tower using your claws to grip the railing of the launchpad beneath where they’re fighting. You know Spiderman can sense you now and will see you any minute now.
You attach the grappling hook again, this time to the structure above you and front flip right into the spider’s eyesight.
“Black Cat! Nice to meet you. I don’t like cats very much!” he says and still manages to grab Harry’s fist mid punch. This time though it knocks Harry off balance and sends him falling to the ground. It allows Spiderman to run over to where you are, and you lose the time advantage to grab the file still laying by the doors at least twenty feet away. You try to twist and leap off the story you’re on and land back on the landing pad, but he thwips a web at your leg and pulls you back down to the ground. He goes to pull the web towards him, but you use your claw to cut the substance from you. It gives you enough time to turn his trick against him and yank the web sending him towards you and on top of you.
“Hi, there spider,” you say sweetly and reach a hand up and caress his masked face.
“Huh?” he says at your motion, and you weave your leg over his allowing you to flip your body over his and cage him in. It works like a charm and stuns him enough to get you to stand.
“Cat, I got the drive, we need to get out of here,” Harry says over the comms and you do a back walkover to the edge of the building.
“You were fun to play with Spidey, but I gotta go!” you coo and dive backward off the building landing in a crouched position on the landing pad. Harry uses his glider to reach you and shows you the drive in his hand.
“We’re in business again,” he says and you can tell beneath his mask he’s grinning. He reaches a leg up to board his glider again, but instead is paralyzed and you see electricity move through his body. It causes him to collapse to the ground again.
You spot the thread connected to his suit and follow it to see it reach Spiderman’s hands. He’s dangling from the upper layer with one arm and using the other to send a taser web to the Goblins’ suit. It had to have caused his suit to reboot and leave him temporarily vulnerable. He releases the taser web and sends a new web to grab the drive that has fallen from Harry’s gloved hand to the ground next to him. He isn’t quick enough though and you jump to grab the drive and get pulled back to where Spiderman hangs.
“Someone’s eager for another round,” you say before getting ready to steal the drive back. It gets tossed to the other side of the building. You have to get Spiderman off the roof before you can get it.
“Just can’t let this in the hands of a cat burglar. No hard feelings though,” he chuckles.
The two of you are mere feet apart and circle each other like predators intimidating their prey.
“You do know cats kill spiders for fun, right?” you say and run towards him, sliding beneath his legs at the last minute getting him off balance. He swings a web your way but you duck it and double back towards him.
You get close enough and manage to kick his stomach. He recoils in pain but doesn’t drop.
“You’re pretty resilient. But baby, so am I,” you scoff and walk towards him. He throws a punch that you dodge. It allows you to get behind him and claw his back with your talons.
“Fuck! That stung!” he yells. Finally, Harry flies back up and tosses one of him bombs towards Spiderman. It goes off with a loud bang and a fire starts. The two of you worked in the Oscorp labs to lace Harry’s bombs with a neuroinhibitor that temporarily disables Spiderman’s spidey senses.
Harry flies to where the drive is, but Spiderman follows behind and throws a web to grab hold of Goblin. But instead, it attaches to his mask and knocks it loose. With a yank of the web, the mask comes off. You’re sure it wasn’t Spiderman’s intention to unmask Harry, but it’s been done. And it’s abundantly clear that the heir to Oscorp, the headliner of many gossip columns, and son of Norman Osborn has been wreaking havoc on the city.
“Shit,” you mutter under your breath. There’s no coming back from this. Harry is done for.
“Harry Osborn?” Spiderman says and Harry freezes for a second upon hearing his name. But he swiftly gets his footing back and grabs another bomb from his glider. Before he can throw it towards the spider, his wrist is kicked and the bomb gets thrown towards you.
“Y/N look out!” Harry yells out instinctively. His eyes go wide once he realizes his mistake and all he can do is blink. You duck the bomb effortlessly, letting it hit a corner of the building and the area goes up in flames.
“Y/N?” The masked spider says. There’s hurt laced in his voice and you don’t know why. All you know is your days of being a masked vigilante are gone. You relied on being in the shadows, and unknown force that took justice into her own claws. But all that is over now.
Spiderman pulls at his mask, and you’re left face to face with the boy you’ve been in love with for as long as you can remember. Peter Parker. Your Peter Parker. The same guy you were just playing a game with mere hours ago. The guy who trips on his laces and sends you goofy chemistry puns. He’s been a superhero this entire time. Not just a superhero, the one you have been helping Harry takedown.
“Pete?” you say and drop your mask too, there’s no point in trying to keep anonymity now.
“You’re spiderman?” You ask rhetorically. You can’t wrap your mind around the fact he’s the spider. God, he’s Harrys best friend too. They’re roommates for christ’s sake. How did everything get so twisted?
“Oh god. What have we done,” you say and collapse to the ground. A tear leaves your eye. All you wanted was to help those who didn’t get justice. And serve that justice to those who escaped it. Maybe steal a few things from those who didn’t need them, but you never meant to let it get this far.
“I’m so sorry. I can’t fight you. I’m in love with you!” you admit aloud and Peter kneels beside you. He wraps his arms tightly and you hold him tight. But Harry comes to shatter the reunion.
“You fucking killed my father!” He says venomously. Peter stands up to try and reason with him, but he doesn’t stop and impales Peter on a sharp-tipped boomerang. The blade goes straight through Peter’s chest and he collapses to the ground.
“You stabbed him!” you cry out. Harry reaches unceremoniously for the drive that fell from Peter’s hand and goes to take off. As if he didn’t just stab his best friend.
“Y/N! We need to go!” he says without any discernable emotion, but you can’t move. You can’t leave your Peter here to bleed out.
“I’m not going with you, Harry. This has all gotten out of hand!” you say and Harry takes off. Leaving you and a bleeding Peter parker. Both unmasked, and in a situation, you shouldn’t be in.

I come with questions! — 1) Really enjoyed Identity Crisis so I was wondering how the idea for it came about? Like, was it a small vague idea that grew or was it full grown idea straight from the get go? What things changed as you were writing it? 2) What's your method of writing? Do you plan ahead/outline or just go with the flow and edit as you go/later? I am a mess and so I like knowing stuff like that lol
OMG I absolutely DIE when I get questions like these!!!
Tumblr media
If you can’t tell, almost no one ever asks me author related questions so I get super excited when someone does 😆 Your girl is about to rammmmbbllleeeeeeee!
Alright, so! Identity Crisis. How did the idea come about? That’s a good one.
I don’t know.
😅
Next question?
Lol, but for real. I came up with the idea during chapter 12 of Identity Theft. That was the chapter I realized “Oh shit, there is NO WAY in any universe I’ll ever be able to tell this entire narrative in one fanfic. Uhhhh...crap. Okay, so...well...uh....sequel? Eck, no, sequel sounds grabby. A continuation. Yes. We’ll *continue* the story in another installment. Shit. Am I doing a series? Goddamnit. I didn’t sign up for this. This is bullshit.”
Basically, when I was writing Identity Theft, I threw every single idea, concept, piece of dialogue, plot thread - all of it. I threw it into a document and began sorting it out. Things I wanted to write, things I wanted to happen, things I felt needed to happen, ect ect and ect ect. Those oddball moments of daydreaming while driving home from work? I logged it all. No thought was spared from being documented.
I’d say maybe 50% got moved into the Identity Crisis folder because there was only so much I could pack into Identity Theft while still holding true to the original narrative I wanted to tell (that being: Tony realizes just how much Peter means to him, Peter gets himself into a pickle, Tony thinks he’s lost him for good/almost looses him for good, Tony comes to realize he’s #dad and ain’t going back)
Was it always a small vague idea? Yeah, kinda. I always knew I wanted to do Venom. Similar to how Identity Theft’s barebone concept was Tony #dad, the barebone concept for Identity Crisis was Peter having PTSD from Identity Theft, and his emotions being manifested and manipulated into something much more extreme by the symbiote. Now, for a HOT second, I was annoyed with how  many Venom fics were popping up thanks to Sony’s Venom movie, and I reallllyyy didn’t want to seem like I was doing the same, so I entertained the idea of using Kraven the Hunter as the antagonist for the fic instead (seeing as he’s Dimitri’s brother) However, it never clicked, it never worked, and I never even got the concept on paper. I absolutely needed the symbiote for Peter’s character arc, and definitely needed it for Norman’s (which also leads into something bigger than this narrative can contain, godeffingdamnit I really did NOT sign up for this!)
The only major change the story has seen since outlining it has been length. It was originally only outlined as...20 chapters, I think? The problem is, the further out you outline, the more vague your layouts become. You outline “May and Tony have a talk” only to actually *write* that talk and realize it was most of the chapter, and you need to start splitting things up to avoid reader fatigue.
So I guess that leads right into question #2! Do I plan ahead/outline? Abas-posta-tivly-loutly. Every scene, every chapter, even pieces of dialogue are all already pre-written and laid out.
Again, some are very simplistic - May and Tony discuss Peter’s behavior over lunch. Others are much more detailed - I have 20% of a conversation between Peter and Tony during Chapter 19 already written out, and I wrote it easily over a year ago. As I think of it, I write it. Most of the time, I make notes in my phone, and then copy that back into my computer documents when I have the free time.
The whole “I’ll remember that later” thing is a trap and no writer should ever fall for it.
I also have all my chapters divided into Acts. All my stories have 5 Acts - that’s always been the number that works for me. Act 1 is the foundation, Act 2 is the build up, Act 3 is Shit Goes Down, Act 4 is the More Shit Goes Down/and the Aftermath, Act 5 is the conclusion. Sometimes I view the Acts as seasons, too. Like a TV show. I dunno, it just helps me plan and keep a solid flow to the story.
Outlining never happens in one day either, by the way. I was outlining Identity Crisis WHILE writing Identity Theft. I’m outlining the final story in this series while writing Identity Crisis. The outline can change a little bit once the story starts - I’ve added a few unplanned scenes in both fics along the way, and deleted a few others too. Doctor Strange helping during Peter’s surgery in Chapter 24 of Identity Theft? Was never originally planned. Thor showing up at the end of Identity Theft? THAT was originally planned, and scrapped. Tony asking Hank Pym for Pym Particulars during Chapter 12 of Identity Crisis? Was never planned. I still go with the flow when writing. I don’t stick strictly to an outline i f it doesn’t work anymore. Now, that always adds to my chapter lengths, word count, stresses me out and gives me anxiety - but hey. That’s writing for ya

For Blue, Blue Skies
Read it Here on AO3
Mathematically, one of two things should have happened when Peter and Harry became friends. The first solution was that Peter’s negative social status would bring Harry down. The second solution was that Harry’s overwhelming social prowess would make Peter popular enough that Flash Thompson would invite him to a party.
It actually ended up equalling zero.
Flash had stopped bothering him. At least, he waited until Peter was a few steps ahead of him before telling Liz how much Peter Parker could suck it. That was something Peter could handle.
Peter was invited out because Harry was going out.
“Come get drinks with us,” he would say as he stood in the mirror tying his tie. He’d watch Peter in the reflection as he flipped through the radio channels pretending to be busy. He was waiting for Harry to leave so he could slip out the window and into the night. “I convinced Gwen to come.”
For the first time, Peter had something resembling a friend group, even if the only people he could consider himself close to were Harry, Gwen, and MJ. On the occasional Friday night he found himself out instead of swinging around. He went to parties, he flirted, he fell in love. Peter actually got to be Peter instead of being Spider-Man, and it felt amazing.
The first time Gwen leaned into him, cheeks flush from the alcohol, and whispered into Peter’s ear that she hoped they could do this again, he forgot Betty Brant’s name altogether.
Peter wasn’t an outcast looking over his shoulder anymore. He also wasn’t too popular for his “job.” Harry’s friendship had helped develop a happy balance between social life and vigilantism.
Social indifference wasn’t the only benefit to Harry’s friendship. Having a place to live was decently nice, especially since he was letting Peter stay in his apartment for free. There was also the fact that Harry’s father was Norman Osborn, owner and CEO of the largest tech company on the east coast.
“Take the job.” Harry urged for the umpteenth time. “You’re a hard worker. It’s a job you’ll be able to get on your own eventually. It’s not cheating to get a head start.”
That’s exactly what cheating was. That didn’t make the offer any less appealing.
“It doesn’t feel right, Har,” Peter said because his suit felt hot under his clothes. Harry didn’t know just how well Peter actually knew his father. Thankfully, Norman hadn't shown any sign of remembering his stint as the Green Goblin. That meant that he didn't remember Peter being Spider-Man, but Peter was sure that luck would run out eventually. If a hit to the head could make him forget, what said a harder hit to the head wouldn't make him remember? It was also because… “I don’t want to get a job just because I’m your friend.”
“Fine.” Harry kicked his shoes off as he pushed into the apartment. “How about this? You interview with my dad, just like anyone else, and you see how it goes?”
Peter hesitated. He was going to be out of college soon enough, and a leg up would be nice, especially considering the fact that he'd had a hard time in class due to his "job." Besides, if Norman was going to remember him, not taking the job wouldn't change that.
“No guarantees?” The corner of Peter’s lip twitched.
Harry held out a fist. “No guarantees.”
Peter got the job. When he approached Harry about this, straddling the line between ungrateful and triumphant, Harry had simply shrugged and slid the bowl of cereal he had poured across the table to Peter. “I guess this calls for celebration, then. You were qualified. I’m proud of you, man. When you start making bank I’m gonna start charging you rent.”
Peter smiled and ate a bite of cereal.
Harry’s friendship didn’t come without its downfalls. It was something Peter picked up on slowly. Piece by piece. After the night at the theater, after their fight. After Harry had tried to kick Peter out.
Harry had more pills in his medicine cabinet than a pharmacist had at work. Quite a few of them weren’t legal. Even more were, which was more concerning.
Spider-Man could fight off villains (and he did his fair share of that), but Peter couldn’t approach Harry without getting trod on.
More than once broaching the subject led to an argument. It was always the drugs-- and MJ, sometimes, but most of those arguments were had when Harry wasn’t in his right mind. Peter felt, sometimes, like he was trying to hold onto a fraying thread. Being Harry’s friend sometimes felt like a full-time job, and that wasn’t something Peter could handle on top of work, school, and babysitting the city.
He talked to everyone he could think to-- MJ, Gwen, even Norman, but it didn’t do anything. The night Norman Osborn died, Harry was on bed rest and still suffering from a bad trip. For the past few days, the apartment had been quiet and eerie, but not nearly as unsettling as walking into the Osborn mansion and finding a discombobulated Harry. If Norman had let him see him, Peter might have been able to understand. He may have been given a chance to see his best friend as himself one last time. Instead, Peter saw him confused and lost, looking for someone to help him understand. Instead of helping, Peter continued his search for revenge.
When Norman Osborn died it didn’t take long for the papers to start blaming Spider-Man. For once, J. Jonah Jameson wasn’t publishing lies, just not the full truth, and the fact made Peter a little sick to his stomach.
After the glider had impaled him, Peter took the time to remove Norman's Green Goblin costume to ensure anonymity.
He did it to assuage his own guiltlessness.
Spider-Man doesn’t kill. Until he did, that is, and Peter was disgusted by how unashamed it made him feel. He had just killed someone-- he had just killed his best friend’s father and he felt nothing as he shifted the body back into position and prepared to leave with the mask and costume.
Even the thought of an avenged Gwen didn’t fill him with relief.
Peter returned home to find MJ outside their apartment. He took his confusion out on her.
They'd gotten medical clearance for Harry to attend Norman's funeral. Standing in line, Harry still looked gaunt and shaky. Peter watched him carefully. His Spider senses were tingling, but he couldn't figure out why, so he forced himself to chalk it up to MJ pointedly avoiding his gaze.
When the funeral ended, Peter put an arm out for a hug. Harry fell into him, his head buried in Peter's shoulder, his arm tight around his neck. Peter held them both upright as Harry shuddered. For the first time, Peter felt the stirrings of guilt.
"C'mon," he murmured into his friend's ear, "Let's head home."
After returning to the apartment, though, they simply sat in a simmering silence that Peter didn’t know what to do with.
“I hate him,” Harry said. There were tears streaming down his cheeks. Peter looked up, confused. “Spider-Man. I hate him.” Peter’s lips formed an ‘O.’
“They don’t know for a fact that it was him,” he tried carefully.
“God, not you too.” His hand clenched into a white-knuckled fist. “If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck--”
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” Peter looked down at his lap.
“Everyone is out there defending him and saying what a hero he is--”
“I just meant--”
“You’re supposed to be on my side, Peter.”
“I am on your side,” Peter shot back. “Everyone is on your side, Harry. All any of us have wanted to do is help you.” He cleared his throat. When he spoke again, his voice was lower. “I know how you feel.” He chose to ignore the glare Harry aimed at him. “When my uncle died all I wanted to do was find the guy who killed him and… But that’s not the way, Har. You’ll get so obsessed with revenge that you’ll lose track of everything else.”
“That’s not the same thing.” Harry’s tone made Peter flinch. “The man who killed your uncle got arrested. I know who killed my dad, and no one is going to do anything about it but me.”
“People are investigating--”
“He killed Gwen, too. Are you just going to forget that?”
Peter’s heart jumped. He could tell by the look Harry was giving him that the line was meant to hurt him. He was supposed to rise to the bait. Instead he answered calmly, “of course I’m not.” and stood. “I should probably--”
"Wait, Peter." Harry reached out and grabbed Peter's wrist. "I’m sorry. Pl-please don't go."
Peter looked down at where they were connected. He swallowed, then met Harry's gaze. His eyes were wide and wild, and Peter suddenly thought about any medicine they'd missed when he, Gwen and MJ had swept the apartment. He thought about Harry, high, pleading, "please don't go. How will I know that you were really here, Peter?"
he said finally, "I'm just going to grab some water… I'll get you one, too."
MJ had silently forgiven Peter for the night Gwen died. She arrived at his apartment with two cups of coffee and a serious expression on her face. That was the day he broke down and told her. She'd taken it better than he expected (what was the proper way to respond when you found out that your ex's best friend is Spider-Man?), But she hadn't judged him or shied away.
“Gwen,” she said, “You didn’t…”
Peter shook his head. “She fell from the bridge. I tried to catch her. I don’t know what killed her, if it was the fall, if it was the webbing-- I don’t. I don’t know.”
“And Goblin was…”
“Harry’s father, yeah.”
“Jesus,” she breathed. “Peter, I’m so sorry.”
“Yeah,” he murmured. He ducked his head and stared at the top of the kitchen table. “I’m sorry I couldn’t save her.”
MJ put a hand on his. “I don’t blame you.” A pause. “But you gotta move on, Peter. Don’t let this eat you up.”
Coffee dates became something of a weekly event.
“You can’t save everyone,” MJ reminded him gently. They were sitting on a rooftop, staring out over the city. He could tell it bothered her too. Harry was her friend just as much as his. “He’s sick.”
She’d said this before the declaration. Before Harry-but-not-Harry had looked Peter in the eye and sworn to kill Spider-Man. Before he hadn’t heard from Harry in two weeks.
Peter took a long swig of his coffee. He was in his suit, but his mask was off. Sweat clung to his forehead and his muscles were sore, but this break made him restless. It was one of the first times he'd been out since Norman Osborn's death had been publicized and he'd forgotten how much he missed the freedom, the weightlessness.
“I can try,” he said. He felt guilty as soon as he said it. He tried again, “I can try to save him, at least.”
MJ sighed. “I’m not going to try to stop you,” she told him, which he knew meant do your best.
Trying his best started by talking to him as a friend. Harry, pulled up into himself, eyes glinting with something that wasn’t quite human, looking past Peter. It’s the drugs, Peter reminded himself, but it didn’t make him feel better.
It had taken Peter a while to find him. He was holed up in his father’s old house-- a place Peter hadn’t been welcome since Norman kicked him out when Harry had overdosed.
“I know a doctor,” Peter told him. “We can get you help.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Harry argued, and Peter sighed. He thought about the first time they’d had this conversation when Peter had tried to talk him out of taking so much medicine. That had been the first time Harry had warned him to mind his own business. “I’m fine.”
MJ had tried to talk to him, too. She was the only one who ever managed to get through to him, but he didn’t even budge this time.
“I’m not in the business of listening to women that aren’t dating me,” he said, and he didn’t apologize when MJ recoiled.
“It’s not him,” Peter reminded her, quiet, but he wasn’t sure anymore. He turned his attention back to the friend they were trying to help. “Why don’t you come home? This is a big place to be in all alone.”
“I’ve been using my father’s research,” Harry said, “It’s too much to bring home.”
“His research?” Peter leaned forward in his seat. “What for?”
Harry looked up with only his eyes and said simply, “I’m going to kill Spider-Man.”
When Peter saw the Green Goblin again, he didn’t have any doubts about who it was. The fight was harder than he’d expected it to be. He was disappointed.
He’d expected Harry to be better.
When Harry died, it was the silence that tore Peter apart. When his hand went slack in Peter’s, it wasn’t grief that struck Peter first. It was relief, and then guilt, and then crippling loneliness.
The ambulance sped up. EMTs swarmed. Peter realized it didn’t matter. Harry died gripping Peter’s hand. Silent. When the ambulance pulled up to the hospital, Peter swung away without looking back.
He recounted the battle to MJ on the front porch steps of the funeral home. His forehead was in his hand. His voice was steely.
This wasn’t the first time Spider-Man had failed to save someone. He’d gotten used to that. Being a hero meant losing people. It meant trying, and failing, and trying a little bit harder. This feeling was different. More Personal. It was akin to watching Uncle Ben die. Except, no one could blame Spider-Man for this, not even Peter.
For the first time in his life, Peter had failed to save someone.
“That’s not true, you know.” MJ frowned at Peter when he finished explaining this. “You did save him.”
Peter scoffed.
“I’m serious,” MJ said. She looked guilty. Peter hadn’t noticed that before.
"He asked me for help," Peter said. "The night Gwen died."
"Peter, you can't--"
"He begged me for help, MJ. And you know what I did?" Peter laughed, harsh, but tears welled up in his eyes. "I ignored him, and I went out, and I killed his dad."
MJ didn't respond. Her head was bowed, face cased in shadow. She was crying, sniffling quietly into the night.
“This might not have happened,” Peter said. His jaw was set. His eyes were misty. Part of him was tempted to reach out and comfort MJ by putting a hand on her shoulder, but it didn’t feel right. He kept his hands to himself. “If I had stayed.”
“Or it might have.” MJ wiped her nose with the back of her sleeve. “What difference does it make? You can’t change the past, you can only live with what youve done.”
“What if I can’t?” Peter’s voice was hoarse.
“I don’t think you really have a choice.” MJ looked at him. She reached out and took his hand. Gentle. “I think about that night outside the theater all the time. And the next day. I was awful to him. I can’t take that back.”
Peter slumped and rested his head against the side of hers. People were starting to file out of the funeral parlor: classmates, family, press. Peter hadn’t realized how alone they’d been until they were suddenly in the middle of a crowd.
“You were able to give him peace, you know,” MJ said, just loud enough for Peter to hear. “Before he died. Forgiveness. Not everyone gets that.” She was rubbing her thumb against the back of his hand. “Sometimes saving people doesn’t mean punching their enemies.”
Peter closed his eyes. He hummed, something of agreement, or acknowledgment, or exhaustion.
"I said some pretty horrible things to you that night, too," he said. His voice was hoarse. "I never apologized for it."
"I know," MJ answered simply.
"I'm sorry."
"I know."
The parking lot emptied out. Once again, it was just MJ and Peter outside of the funeral home, still connected, still holding hands. MJ sighed, long and low, and Peter hummed again. For a moment, he could imagine he was in the back of the ambulance again comforting his best friend. Reconciling. He thought, again, about that being a form of saviorism. The thought made his chest tight, but not in a bad way. He hoped Harry was at peace.

introduction.
harold theopolis osborn is the only child of norman osborn and emily lyman.
the circumstances of harry’s birth weakened emily and after a long illness, she passed away. due to this, norman was hardly what anyone would consider a loving father by any means. he often dismissed or lashed out in fury at harry.
harry was caught between desperately seeking norman’s love and approval and resenting him for being such a negligent father.
he turned to the typical lifestyle of a rich kid lacking any guidance or attention outside of his father’s butler or employees :  he began experimenting with drugs in his teen years. he picked up addictive habits. smoking, drinking, anything that helped ease his troubles.
this became especially prevalent after his father became the supervillain known as the green goblin and would have occasionally violent or verbal outbursts, though harry remained unaware of the cause.
attending midtown high, harry met peter parker. though he initially took a disliking to peter, he eventually learned that his first impression of him had been entirely wrong. peter later turn out to be harry osborn’s best friend.
unaware of both his father’s endeavors as the green goblin and spider - man’s true identity, he suspected nothing. he was unaware of the life his father had secretly been leading.
the death of norman osborn pans out exactly like it did in the 2002 film. harry stumbles upon spider - man standing over the body of his dead father, assuming him to be the cause of his death, and hates the super - hero from then on.
my portrayal of harry varies. it incorporates a lot of j*mes fr*ncos rendition of the character ( considering a lot of elements were kept from the comic and as much as i’m not a fan of him, he did a good job with harry ), but somewhat based in an mcu setting. ideally, the death of harry’s father happens prior to peter becoming involved with the avengers ! so it doesn’t interfere with any of the canon elements of recent mcu films.
he doesn’t remember the death of his father and harry certainly doesn’t remember quentin beck outing peter to the rest of the world-- his memory is stripped back to the events before civil war, homecoming, far from home or any of that. so he’ll likely be clueless about any references from that time.
he knows nothing. but all he does know is this : peter parker is his best friend. the only person in the world he can really trust. at least for now. dun dun dun.

Red Thread (Noremma Week - Day 3: Distance\Reunion
Instantly after putting his feet inside his room, Norman noticed the phone of cups stuck underneath his window swinging frantically. The boy hung up his coat and walked to the window, observing through the window the open window of the house opposite his, where was a girl around his age whose orange hair stood out miles away.
That was Emma, his best friend, in fact the only one, because due to his fragile health, his Uncle Peter rarely allowed him to leave home, even to the point of teaching him at home to avoid the need to enrol him in a school. And although Peter pretended to be doing this just to protect him, deep down, Norman knew that the real reason for this was that his uncle was discounting from him all the repressed anger and resentment he had nurtured by James, his deceased father.
As such, his social interactions were limited to talking to Emma through the cup phone that was connected from one window to another. However, even if he lived in such a way, Norman did not complain, as everything would be fine as long as he had Emma's company.
The boy unlocked the window and raised the windscreen, trembling a little bit as he felt a cold breeze invading his room. He rubbed his arms over the shirt to scare away the cold and finally took the glass deposited on the window sill, stretching the red wire to his ear.
"Pumpkin's Head calling White Spectre. You’re listening, White Spectrum?" the somewhat muffled voice of the redhead echoed in his ear and the albino laughed a little at the nicknames.
On the day Emma introduced him to her with the cups phone, she told him that this was a special line of communication only for ‘secret agents’, and therefore they both needed codenames worthy of a secret agent. The redhead gave him the nickname ‘White Spectrum’ because, according to her, Norman's albinism made him look like a ghost. The boy, on the other hand, chose ‘Pumpkin's Head’ as the nickname for Emma. The reason for the choice was the girl's short, orange hair, which made her look like a pumpkin.
“White Spectrum listening.” after answering, Norman took his own cup back to his ear.
“How was the doctor? Are you all right?” she asked. Through the window the albino watched her change her position to listen to his answer.
“Yes, he gave me some pills that made me feel a little better. So I'm fine now.”
“That's great! Hey, I made you an improvement card. Wait a minute.”
That said, Emma disappeared from her field of vision, coming back minutes later with a piece of paper in hand. She began to fold the sheet until it had turned into a paper plane; the redhead then stretched out the window a little and threw the plane into the air. Even though he almost collided with the branches of the tree located on the ground between the houses, the afternoon breeze managed to take the paper plane to Norman's room.
The boy placed his cup on the window sill and took the paper plane, then began to undo the folds. On the sheet was a picture of him dressed like a ghost, and right next to him was Emma, whose head was a smiling pumpkin with bright green eyes. Above the drawing made of crayon, it was written: "Try to get better soon. You are still not allowed to become a literal white spectrum."
A smile formed on the albino's face and he felt his heart begin to melt. It was amazing how that simple drawing made him feel like the most loved person in the world. “Thank you, Emma. I'll take good care of him” the redhead scratched her neck and smiled. Norman could have sworn he saw her blush a little, but because of the distance he couldn't be sure.
“It's just a silly drawing.” she said, a little dull. “Hey, I just remembered something really funny that happened at school. The teacher asked me to help her get some paint and...”
Emma continued to bombard him with several stories that occurred throughout her day, and Norman listened attentively to each of them, dropping a few laughs over and over again. He loved to hear her talk about his day to day, as he felt as if it made him a little closer to her.
The two of them were so involved in the conversation that they didn't see the hours passing, and by the time they realized it was time for dinner. Then, even with regret, the children had to say goodbye.
                                                   [...]
Norman woke up in the middle of the night, his breathing was irregular and a cold sweat ran all over his face. His mind took a few seconds to process what had happened: he had had another nightmare.
The boy kicked the covers and turned on the lamp to illuminate the room, then came down from the bed. He put on his coat and picked up a flashlight that he kept in his desk, then walked to the window and opened it. Norman tried to ignore the cold and pointed the flashlight at Emma's window, he turned the light on and off repeatedly, stopping only when he saw the girl's room light up.
Emma appeared in front of the window and opened it, the albino then raised his cup, indicating that he wanted to talk; the redhead nodded and put her own cup near her ear.
“I had a nightmare” he said, almost whispering. “Can you sing to me?” he asked. Then he put the cup over his ear and in a moment a melody began to echo from the object. That song was a bit melancholic, but whenever Emma hummed it, Norman felt a sense of peace and would calmly take care of himself.
He closed his eyes, focusing on the melody, and for a few moments Norman closed himself in his own childish world, where everything was colorful and only he and Emma existed.
                                                      [...]
“Hey, Norman.” he heard her through the cup. “Your birthday is tomorrow, right?”  the boy nodded affirmatively in front of the window. “I've been thinking, what if we were to celebrate your birthday at the amusement park?”
Upon hearing that, Norman's heart almost jumped out of his chest and he let the phone fall out of his hand. He looked nervously at the door of his room before recovering the cup.
“Emma, you know I can't. If my uncle even hears me talking about it, I'm sure I'll get a worse punishment than usual.”
“We'll be able to get out and back without anyone noticing, trust me. And this is a secret line, remember? Nobody will listen to us or catch us in the act. After all, we are the best secret agents in the world, right?”
The redhead gave her a determined look and Norman stared at her for a few moments before finally responding. Leaving was very risky and just the idea of being discovered by Peter was enough to make his legs tremble, however, he would be lying if he said that didn't want to go out there to have fun with Emma, to hug her....
“You're crazy” a smile then formed on his lips. “But I trust you.”
                                                [...]
The plan was put into practice as soon as Peter left for work. As both the doors and the windows on the lower floor of the residence were always locked, Norman had to leave the house going down the tree near his window. He thought he couldn't, but his determination got the better of his fear, so the boy slowly descended the tree being assisted by Emma's instructions.
“That, you're doing very well. Now all you have to do is jump.”
“J-jump?” the albino clung tightly to the branch where he was.
“I'll be here to get you, so you don't have to be afraid. Just jump.” Emma tried to convince him.
“What if you can't hold me?”
“I will. Ray is certainly heavier than you and I can carry him easily. Well, not so easily, he's always kicking me so I can put him down.”
Norman laughed a little at the comment, the moment of relaxation ended up relieving a little the tension he felt. He breathed deeply and closed his eyes firmly, then jumped off the branch, moments later the boy felt a pair of arms holding his little body.
“Wow, you're really light.” the albino opened his eyes, facing Emma's smiling face, she then helped him stand on the ground. “Shall we?”
The redhead stretched out her hand to him, but Norman remained motionless staring. Then some tears began to flow from his eyes.
“Huh? Is something wrong? Did you get hurt?" she asked, her voice exhaling genuine concern. The albino didn't answer her instead he wrapped her in a hug, taking her by surprise.
“No. Everything is fine.” he murmured. Emma felt her heart warm up and she returned the hug.
“Happy birthday, Norman.” the redhead rubbed the boy's back with one hand and the two remained hugged for a few minutes, until she walked away. “We'd better go soon. We can't take too long.”
“You're right.” Norman sniffed and wiped the tears with the sleeve of his coat, then held the redhead's hand. “Let's go.”
The two ran through the streets, stopping only when they were a safe distance away from their homes. They drove to a bus stop, which Emma said would take them to the park. Norman observed the landscape through the window with his eyes shining all the way through, as if he rarely left home, there were several places in the city he did not know about, so it was as if a new world was opening up to him.
When they arrived at the park, Emma wasted no time and soon pulled him to one of the attractions. They shared the same horse on the merry-go-round and then shared a cotton candy, which Norman ended up putting out minutes later, because of the abrupt laps that the redhead performed in the crash cart.
"Norman, look!" Emma pointed to a plush giraffe exposed on the shelf of a tent. "She's beautiful."
"Do you kids wanna?" asked the owner of the tent. "It's simple. You just have to hit the ball on that pile of cans. You're entitled to three tries and if you can knock down all the cans, you can choose whatever prize you want."
"I'll try. - said Norman, determinedly.
"I'll definitely win that giraffe for you, Emma." he thought.
The albino placed the few coins he had on the counter of the tent and the shopkeeper handed him three balls for him to throw. Even though he was confident, Norman ended up missing all three attempts.
“You did well, Norman” The redhead tried to cheer him up. “Hey, now it's my turn.”
Emma put the money on the counter and took one of the balls, she stared at the tin tower and finally made her throw, which hit the cans not leaving a single one standing. Both Norman and the shopkeeper stared at the girl in amazement.
“I won! Wow!” she celebrated, hugging the giraffe. Then she and the albino started walking towards another attraction.
“Hey, you don't have to be like that”. the girl spoke, referring to the fact that the boy was visibly disappointed.
 “I'm fine, don't worry.”
“Don't lie to me” Emma held the plush in front of her and changed her tone of voice a little, pretending that the giraffe who was talking. “I can smell your sadness. That's why I, the giraffe Emma, will give you a hug to scare her away.” Having said that, the redhead moved her arms, making her hug the albino, who laughed a little.
“I thought you were a pumpkin and not a giraffe.”
“We secret agents need to have several disguises, don't we? And besides the white spectrum, you could be the king of the fortress of solitude. What do you think?”
“Emma!” Norman gave her a look of reprehension, but soon they both laughed.
                                                     [...]
On their way back, Emma had to carry Norman in her back from the bus stop to the house, because the boy's length of breath was really short, in fact, it was amazing that he had been able to walk here and there for so long.
“I'm sorry to bother you” said the albino timidly.
“You know you don't have to apologize. It was my idea to get you out of the house after all.”
Norman decided not to continue the discussion, because he needed to save energy to climb back up the tree, so he just tucked his head on Emma's shoulder and let her carry him. She stopped when there was only one street from home, so the albino came down from her back and the two continued the rest of the way. However, as soon as they turned the corner, the two children saw Norman's uncle; they froze in place and only watched the man approach them in quick and heavy steps.
“You...” Peter grabbed the boy by the arm and cast a threatening glance at him. “Do you have any idea how long of my life I sacrificed to take care of you?  And then you thank me by disobeying me, just to get sick and force me to spend more time and money on you.” the man tightened the albino's arm firmly, making him wring his face in pain.
“Hey, you can't treat him like that. He just-“
“Shut. Up!” Even though Emma used to fear nothing, that tone of voice gave her the creeps. “You're coming with me” Peter said, beginning to drag his nephew toward his house. “I'm going to take you to a place where you'll never be able to see that little pest or anybody else again.”
“Norman!” she tried to follow him, but the boy looked in her direction and shook his head negatively, making her stop. So, Emma just watched Norman being taken away, and there was nothing she could do about it.
Peter actually fulfilled his threat, for the next day the redhead found that the red wire of the cup phone was broken and the albino's window was locked, with thick curtains blocking the view through the glass. And only a few days after the event, the boy moved away, without even having the opportunity to say goodbye.
                                                       [...]
As soon as he reached the bus stop, Norman sat on the bench there. He put his backpack on his legs and groped the inside in search of his cell phone to get some distraction while he waited, but he ended up coiled his hand in some kind of line. As he removed his hand from the inside of the backpack, the albino winked a few times and a smile opened in his face when he saw that it was a cup with a red thread attached to the bottom.
As he unrolled the thread of his hand, some memories of his childhood began to fill his mind. That was the only part of the cup phone she used to communicate with Emma, his neighbor, and the first friend he had in his life. Norman had to go through the dumpster to get him back before he left, but he didn't complain, after all, he had already been so lucky that he hadn't been picked up that week.
Although his health remained very fragile, Norman's life had changed a lot since then. He was now an independent adult and no longer needed to put up with his uncle's mistreatment, so his life was considerably better now. However, he lamented that Emma could not be part of this new phase of his life.
The albino even traveled to that city once in an attempt to find her, however, the girl had already moved there a long time ago. Emma had been such an important person in her life and yet Norman didn't even have a picture of her. All that remained of the girl had been her childhood memories and that broken cup phone, which he carried everywhere as if it were a precious artifact.
"White Spectrum calling Pumpkin’s Head. Are you listening, Pumpkin’s Head?" the albino spoke to the cup.
He was so distracted by the object that he didn't notice the girl who was walking down the sidewalk just behind the bench, whose long orange hair was shaking because of the soft summer breeze. Upon hearing this, she stopped and turned toward the bench, watching Norman from behind.
  "Pumpkin's head listening."

“While they're depicted as happy and in love, there are a lot of details that don't make sense.”
Oh boy I can’t wait to hear this from the pinnacle of comic book journalism that is Screenrant....
20 EVERYTHING ABOUT "ONE MORE DAY"
 Okay fair enough
19 THEY HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON
Sense of humour. Study different forms of science. Science and acting are both about making sense of life. Troubled childhoods. Living double lives. Living with guilt over relegating on responsibilities which hurt your family. Immense inner strength. Oh and btw having shit in common isn’t the be all and end all of romantic relationships so shut up.
“It's possible for two people to love each other and not have much in common. ”
 That’s what I said.
“At some point, however, a couple needs to have something to build a relationship on.”
And they did see above and add in being one another’s friends, confidants and support group.
“Peter Parker and Mary Jane couldn't be further apart from each other in almost every single way. He's a science geek with a weird sense of humor and no social skills.”
Also heroic, also gult ridden, also responsible, also inner strength, also working class, also lost a parent, also lived a double life....like MJ.
“Meanwhile, MJ is an aspiring model/actress, except for when she's a super successful model/actress.”
 Everyone knows model/actress = a personality right.
“In recent years, she's shown a more entrepreneurial side, but that still involved opening a nightclub, the sort of place where Peter doesn't fit in at all. They say opposites attract, but there comes a point where that just becomes nonsensical.”
Yes there is but that point is well beyond the ways in which Peter and MJ are opposite to one another because their traits often balance one another out.
18 THEY GOT TOGETHER WAY TOO SOON AFTER GWEN'S DEMISE
They got together almost 2 years after Gwen died shut up.
“Time in comic books is a funny thing. The Marvel Universe has a sliding timescale, meaning that it's hard to peg down when stories took place in relation to each other. The time that passes in the real world means nothing. That being said, Peter and MJ started dating way too soon after Gwen Stacy's demise.”
Canonically its still 2 years so shut up.
“She lost her life in Amazing Spider-Man #121 (1973) by Gerry Conway and Gil Kane. By the end of the next issue, the seeds were being planted for them to get together. They didn't immediately start dating, but Peter seemed to get over his "one, true love" suspiciously fast”
2 years isn’t too fast and she wasn’t his one true love. Nobody has a one true love.
 17 SHE FLIP-FLOPS ON PETE'S LIFE AS SPIDER-MAN
This list is about stuff that doesn’t make sense. Anybody dating a superhero is probably going to flip flop over their own or their loved ones’ lives being potentially endangered by super powered serial killers.
“Look, dating a superhero must be hard. Nobody can blame someone for not wanting to deal with it, or trying to convince a loved one not to risk their life. Also, it can make having a social life impossible. It's understandably frustrating, but at some point, enough is enough.
It seems like Mary Jane can't make up her mind about Peter's life as Spider-Man.”
Obviously she can because she chose to date him, chose to marry him and stayed with him all the time sans stories where she was written as OOC.
She both likes it and dislikes it which makes her compelling and its realistic too. She doesn’t HAVE to make up her mind definitively and every day stay on track with liking or hating it because people flip flop over shit all the time.
Shit Spider-Man himself flip flops about BEING SPIDER-MAN!
“Sometimes she's fully supportive, while other times she wants him to quit. ”
Gee its almost like something as dangerous as a superhero’s life would have lots of factors that impact how you feel depending upon what side of the bed you got up from.
Also she never wanted him to quit outside of when she was OOC. She only once wanted him to remain retired when she was heavily pregnant.
“Considering that she knew Peter was Spider-Man before she even met him, it's time for her to figure out her feelings and make a decision. ”
 a)                  She did, hence they married
b)                  She doesn’t need to make a decision YOU the individual reader want her to but realistically the character for her own sake doesn’t have to
“They both know he's not going to give up being a hero, so it's time to be grown ups.”
16 THEIR ENGAGEMENT WAS SUPER QUICK
In the history of mankind there have been quicker engagements.
Shit STAN LEE got married super quick, he married his wife Joan of 60 something years literally the day she got divorced.
“In Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21 (1987) by David Michelinie, Jim Shooter, and Paul Ryan, Peter Parker married Mary Jane. Behind the scenes, this occurred because Stan Lee wanted Spider-Man to get married in the newspaper comic strip that he was writing at the time. Marvel liked the idea, and decided to have them get married in the comics as well.
The problem was that they were broken up at the time. So, the writers had to quickly bring her back, rekindle the romance, have Peter propose, and then get married.”
 This is total fucking bullshit.
Mary Jane had been a mainstay in the titles for over 4 years before the wedding, being the most recurring character sans Spider-Man himself.
Moreover broken up isn’t strictly accurate, Peter and Mj years prior to their wedding had been effectively dating whilst being in denial about it to one another or publicly.
Their romance and love was always there they just weren’t being honest about it until Peter proposed.
Yeah the proposal-wedding was a few issues, but the romantic tension and relationship had been years in the making.
“Anyone that's ever planned a real wedding knows how unrealistic this whole timeline was.”
Yeah unless you were having a quick wedding at city hall with a small ceremony and there was a time skip before and during the final part of the story where they tie the knot.
15 DO THEY HAVE A BABY OR NOT?
“The second Clone Saga that ran during the mid '90s had one of the most confusing endings ever written. Basically, the writers needed to finish Ben Reilly's storyline while also tying up all of Peter's loose ends to make it possible for Peter to become Spider-Man again. One of these plot threads was the fact that Mary Jane was pregnant.
The editors felt that Spider-Man being a dad would age him, so they suggested that Mary Jane not have the baby, after all. However, it was also heavily implied at the time that Norman Osborn had the baby taken away. This storyline was teased for a few years, before ultimately being forgotten about.”
This list is about things that do not make sense. This list is not about things that are merely unresolved.
14 WHY DOES PETER STILL USE THE BLACK SUIT?
“In Amazing Spider-Man #299 (1988) by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane, Venom made his frightening first appearance. Mary Jane thought she saw Peter wearing his black costume, until a mouth formed and turned into a horrific smile. Venom didn't hurt Mary Jane, but the experience was still pretty traumatic for her.
After Spidey defeated the villain, Mary Jane asked him to stop wearing the black costume. This made sense, and Peter happily obliged. Except, he keeps bringing the costume back from time to time.”
Yeah and it’s justified each time.
He brought it back in the 1990s during McFarlane’s run because he needed something stealthy and he discussed this with MJ.
He brought part of it back in the Clone Saga because he had nothing else to wear but it wasn’t the whole suit.
He brought it back during the Mackie run with Larsen because again he had nothing else to wear and MJ was presumed dead at the time anyway.
He wore it again in Back in Black at a time where he wasn’t wearing it in front of MJ and wanted to send a message to criminals that he was now going to be a more violent and scary fucker (it worked).
He wore it again in Brand New Day when he was impersonating Venom and he and MJ were broken up.
He wore it again in ASM #800 when he needed the power boost from the symbiote to beat Red Goblin.
And all this aside, MJ got over her fear of Venom anyway.
So rather than making no sense each individual instance actually did add up.
“Sometimes there's a specific reason, other times he just seems to feel like wearing it. He knows it scares his wife, but apparently Peter likes the way it looks too much to care.”
Not true as I just explained. Peter himself doesn’t even LIKE the suit anymore.
13 HOW SUCCESSFUL IS HER CAREER?
“Not everyone is a fan of Peter and Mary Jane's relationship. While many fans love her, some feel that it's weird for Peter Parker to be married to a supermodel. That can be a valid complaint, but the problem is that Mary Jane has had one of the most inconsistent careers ever.
She's constantly moving between being a struggling model, a highly sought after model, a soap opera actress, and even giving up on show business completely multiple times. It's understandable for careers to have ups and downs, but it seems like the writers can't even decide if she's famous or not.”
Because a model and actresses career and fame can’t fluctuate right?
12 THEY'VE BOTH DEALT WITH TOO MANY STALKERS
WTF is too many exactly when one of you is a famous-semi-famous actress and model and the other is a superhero?
Like shit dude, there are people, a lot of them women, who aren’t famous and can have stalkers.
“In the late '90s, Marvel's first attempt to undo Spider-Man's marriage resulted in Mary Jane getting on a plane which then exploded mid-flight.”
Technically that was not their first attempt.
“For the next year or so, everyone believed she had passed away. Instead, she had been snatched away by a deranged stalker, who caused the explosion so that no one would look for her.
Before that, Mary Jane had to deal with Jonathan Ceaser, who attempted to take her away several times in the early '90s.”
OP misspelled ‘once’ as ‘several times’.
“Even Peter had to deal with his ex girlfriend, Felicia Hardy, dating Flash Thompson just so she could be near him during that same time period. ”
That isn’t a stalker.
“People really need to give these two their privacy.”
Again...not a thing that doesn’t make sense which is the point of the article.
 11 THEY BREAK UP CONSTANTLY
constantly
Dictionary result for constantly
/ˈkɒnst(ə)ntli/
adverb
1.    continuously over a period of time; always.
Hmmmmmm...doesn’t seem to add up with breaking up:
For the first time in the late 1970s.
Again in Spider-Man vs. Wolverine.
Trial separating (which isn’t a proper break up) in 2001.
Seperating for real in OMD/OMIT
Breaking up again in Superior when it wasn’t even the real Spider-Man. And no her dumping him again twice doesn’t count.
Gee, four break ups across 40+ years = constantly apparently.
“Comic books can't just rely on action, they also need to have drama. One of the most common places writers create drama is in the hero's relationships. It's probably very hard to date a superhero, and it's understandable that not everyone would want to sign up for that ride. At some point, however, enough is enough.”
I’m not saying I’m innocent of lazily repeating the same words and phrases over and over again, but I also don’t get paid to write for a big website.
Also, wtf does enough’s enough even mean?
They broke up a few times, one due to genuine issues, once because of a misunderstanding, once because MJ wasn’t well and Peter was OOC (which doesn’t count) and every other time also because they were both OOC.
“It's hard to feel bad for them when Peter and Mary Jane break up, because they do it all the time. He's always focusing on saving people, she's constantly moving to another part of the country to work on her career. When Mephisto forced them to break-up, he could've just waited a few months and gotten the same result.”
Again all the time and constantly does not = 4 times across 40 years.
Also that wasn’t Mephisto’s endgame but whatever.
10 HOW DID SHE NOT NOTICE OTTO'S MIND IN PETER'S BODY
Hey look, the secod legitimate point on this list. The answer was because bad writing.
9 HOW DO THEY AFFORD THEIR APARTMENTS?
“A common complaint across various forms of fiction is that characters always seem to be able to afford apartments that they shouldn't be able to. For Spider-Man and Mary Jane, however, it's pretty bad. Of course, there are times when Mary Jane's career is going very well, which explains how they can afford a nice apartment.
For the most part, however, Peter is a struggling photographer and she's a struggling model. Somehow, they are consistently able to afford apartments with giant skylights. ”
If this happens across most fiction in ways which aren’t more egregious than anything else (because Joey and Chandler’s apartment is egregious given their jobs) then it’s not worth mentioning on this list.
“Seriously, Tony Stark would struggle to afford some of the places they've lived in over the years.”
He really wouldn’t.
8 PETER WAS SUPER SHALLOW ABOUT MEETING HER
First off he wasn’t super shallow, he was as shallow as you would expect any teenager to be in that situation.
Also, a teenager being shallow. Thats certainly something that doesn’t make sense and belongs on a list entirely about shit that makes no sense.
“In the early stories, Peter could be kind of shallow. Granted, he was a teenager, but he always just seemed interested in dating the prettiest girls. ”
Ugh...no he didn’t. He asked out 3 young women who were all relatively attractive but none of whom were like compared to Hollywood starlets of the era. There was something of an implication that Betty Brant, his high school love, was not as attractive as the more glamorous Liz Allan whom he typically rebuffed in favour of Betty.
Also if we’re playing the ‘its super shallow to just date the hottest people you can’ then Peter and MJ were no worse than one another at those ages.
“Considering that he was always getting bullied and picked on, he should've been more understanding.”
a)        Being bullied and picked on isn’t innately going to make you more understanding of anybody
b)        Understanding of who? Who was he being inconsiderate towards exactly? He asked out two girls he was attracted to, attraction being an involuntary thing in the first place. He presumed his elderly not hip aunt who described MJ as being a good house wife was going to pick someone unattractive or boring, especially considering that if she was going to be set up with him she probably couldn’t get a date with anyone else. Meaning in his teenage head she must be unattractive
“Then, when he found out that she was beautiful, he was suddenly interested. ”
My God how dare characters as teens be shallow and flawed. It makes no seeeeeeense!
“It turns out, Peter's type was "any girl that looks good, regardless of her interests or personality."”
That’s true which is why he quickly began to turn away from MJ because he found her shallow and preferred Gwen who was seemingly not shallow...
7 WHY DID SHE NEED TO BE SET UP WITH PETER IN THE FIRST PLACE?
...huh?
“Every comic book fan knows the story of how Peter and MJ met. A recurring plot line in early Spider-Man stories was Aunt May constantly trying to set Peter up with her friend's niece. The two didn't actually meet until The Amazing Spider-Man #43 (1966) by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, when Peter opened the door and she said the iconic phrase "face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot!"”
Wow...the degree of incompetence in this paragraph is truly impressive.
First of all it was ASM #42 not #43...how do you fuck that up. More importantly it was with Lee and Romita Senior not Lee and Ditko. SERIOUSLY how do you fuck that up.
“What's weird about this, however, is that Mary Jane was a beautiful and outgoing girl. Peter was busy being Spider-Man, and was considered a nerd by his peers, so it's understandable that he'd need help getting dates. Mary Jane, on the other hand, should have been doing just fine.”
Lets ignore how this was explained in Parallel Lives a story which has a major plot point referenced by the article more than once.
...why is this presumption Mj NEEDED to be set up. Maybe she just agreed as a favour to her aunt.
6 HOW DID SHE KNOW TO SAY THE JACKPOT LINE?
Because she knew she was sexy and could tell by his reaction he didn’t realize that and was taken aback by it.
“Ok, this might seem like a nitpick,”
Why let that bother you now.
“The famous scene where Peter and Mary Jane first meet plays out like this: Peter answers the door, and Mary Jane is standing and delivers the famous line. It's a memorable moment, but it also doesn't make any sense.
Mary Jane never met Peter before this.”
Not formally no, but yes she had and knew what he looked like.
“How did she know she was a "jackpot" for him? Maybe she wasn't his type?”
His reaction spelled it out for her.
“For all she knew, he could have answered the door and been very disappointed. Also, maybe he wouldn't care what she looked like? It was a pretty arrogant thing to say, looking back, and she's lucky it didn't backfire.”
 *rolls eyes* oh fuck off.
5 THE REASON SHE CALLS HIM TIGER MAKES NO SENSE
“For years, everyone focused on the "jackpot" part of Mary Jane's famous introduction, but apparently, Peter was focused on a different part. Apparently, he never understood why she called him "tiger," especially because the nickname stuck. In all honesty, it's a good question. Especially during those early years, Peter Parker was anything but a "tiger."
In the original Clone Saga that ran during 1975, Peter actually asked Mary Jane for the reason. It turns out, it's because he's not a tiger and she's just playfully teasing him. That's fine, except why did she say it the first time she met him? How did she know he wasn't a "tiger?"”
a)           Because she called everyone that
b)           Because Aunt May and Aunt Anna probably told her about him
4 THEY DON'T EVEN TRY TO HIDE KNOWING EACH OTHER
Yeah they do.
“Peter's never been great at keeping a secret identity.”
Yeah that is why hardly anyone knew it before Civil War...
“His entire scheme is that he takes pictures of himself fighting crime as Spider-Man, and then pretends that he's just Spidey's photographer. He's basically telling everyone that he's connected to the wall-crawler in some way.”
Yet it worked so obviously he is good at hiding it.
“Even worse, whenever Spider-Man runs into Mary Jane, they often blatantly talk to each other in public. They always forget to pretend that Mary Jane isn't supposed to know Spider-Man. ”
He talks to lots of people in public and MJ has the easy cover story of knowing/dating Spider-Man’s friend Peter Parker.
“That, or they go way over the top and really awkwardly state that they don't know each other.”
No they don’t.
“At some point, someone's going to notice Spidey flirting with Peter Parker's wife and put two and two together.”
Yet they never have so...
3 HOW DID SHE FIGURE OUT HIS SECRET ID?
“As previously stated, Peter is kind of terrible at keeping a secret identity. ”
As previously stated no he isn’t
“Often times, Peter doesn't even get caught as Spider-Man, people just end up figuring it out.”
Again a lie from the author who didn’t even know Romita Senior isn’t Steve Ditko.
“For example, after dating Peter during the '70s and the '80s, Mary Jane broke up with him, moved away, and then came back to New York. ”
Actually they broke up in the 70s and began dating after she returned in the 80s.
“When she returned, she revealed that she had figured out his secret.
While that made sense, later stories contradicted this. It was eventually revealed that she saw Peter leaving his house dressed as Spider-Man the night Uncle Ben died. So, she didn't figure it out. Obviously, this was a retcon, but the result is that Mary Jane lied to Peter. She didn't figure anything out!”
a)           Seeing Peter Parker enter an abandoned house and Spider-Man emerge would count as figuring out his identity
b)           She never actually told him directly she figured it out like she was a goddam detective
2 THEY BOTH KEEP HANGING AROUND THEIR EXES
As do most comic book characters...
“Both Peter and Mary Jane had healthy dating lives before marrying one another. There's nothing wrong with that. On the other hand, it's strange how they're both constantly hanging around their exes. ”
Or refreshingly healthy...
“Peter still brings Black Cat around constantly, and he and Betty Brant are still very close.”
He dated Betty as a friggin teenager and the author reaffirms he doesn’t understand what constantly means.
“Meanwhile, Mary Jane dated Harry Osborn while they were both in college, and the relationship did not end well for him. Now, years later, everyone is always hanging out together and that's a little strange. Hanging around with your exes typically leads to disaster, and based on how many ex-boyfriends and girlfriends are around, Peter's Spidey-sense should be tingling.”
Or again healthy and an affirmation of a deep bonded friendship that goes beyond personal baggage from when they were young and dumb.
1 GWEN WAS MEANT TO BE PETER'S TRUE LOVE, NOT MJ
Again, not something that doesn’t make sense. In fact it makes less sense for Gwen to be his true love since they were not a great match and true loves are fairy tale bullshit.
“The end of Gwen Stacy is one of the most defining moments in comic book history. Up until that point, the hero saved the girl. Part of what made this story so memorable was that Gwen Stacy was always meant to be Peter's one true love.”
As far as Stan Lee was concerned yes but not everyone else.
Also OTLs are bullshit.
“Her demise rocked his world, and he's still affected by it, even to this day.
That's understandable, but it also strains Peter's relationship with MJ. She's always been understanding, but how many times can she come across him crying over Gwen's picture in the attic before it starts to effect her.”
He has literally never ever done this ever.
“She's constantly being reminded that she might be Peter's second choice.
Again with the misuse of constantly and no she isn’t because Peter has told and shown her she isn’t second best more than once.
And again, not a thing that doesn’t make sense however you slice it.
You what really doesn’t make sense.
This person being paid for this garbage.

How to Read Marvel's Absolute Carnage Crossover

How to Read Marvel's Absolute Carnage Crossover
Tumblr media
The dust has barely settled from War of the Realms, but already the next major Marvel crossover is brewing. Absolute Carnage officially kicks off on Wednesday, August 7, as Earth’s heroes unite against a deadly attack from a super-charged version of Carnage, Spider-Man and Venom’s eternal foe.Whether you’re a hardcore Marvel reader or simply have fond memories of the Maximum Carnage crossover and its tie-in video game, we have a full breakdown of this new superhero epic and how you can follow the story.
What Is Absolute Carnage?
Absolute Carnage might be described as a spiritual sequel to 1993’s Maximum Carnage. While its plot isn’t directly connected to Maximum Carnage, Absolute Carnage again features Spider-Man and Venom teaming up with a wide variety of Marvel heroes to deal with the threat posed by Cletus Kasady.

This time around, however, Carnage is flying solo. Where in the past Cletus Kasady was interested only in causing chaos and bloodshed, he now has a more specific mission. He’s intent on killing everyone who’s ever bonded with a symbiote, hero or villain. By absorbing the trace remnants of the symbiotes in their bodies, Carnage hopes to achieve his ultimate power and finally free Knull, the god of the symbiotes, from his eternal prison.
Marvel’s New Symbiote Mythology
If you haven’t been reading comics like Venom recently, you may not be aware of Knull or his place in the mythology of the symbiotes. The current volume of Venom has introduced Knull, a godlike being revealed to be the creator of symbiotes like Venom and Carnage. Knull existed in the black void before the Big Bang. He was angered when light and life exploded into being and invaded his endless dark realm. Ever since the Big Bang, Knull has been waging war against the Celestials and other cosmic deities, hoping to restore the perfect nothingness that used to be everywhere.
Venom’s 30 Most WTF Moments
Tumblr media
During the course of that war, Knull created the symbiote race known as the Klyntar. The symbiotes exist as a hive mind controlled by Knull himself, and their weakness to fire and sound is basically a design flaw created from their original forging. However, the connection between Knull and his creations (also known as the codex) was severed, and now Knull remains trapped in a prison within the Klyntar homeworld, waiting for the day when he can break free and resume his war on creation. Through Cletus Kasady, Knull has found his most devoted and capable servant.
The Road to Absolute Carnage
Before getting to the main event, we should cover the essential comics fans should read to prepare for Absolute Carnage.
A Visual History of Venom
Tumblr media
Most of the direct build-up to Absolute Carnage has taken place in the current volume of Venom, which is written by Donny Cates and mostly drawn by artist Ryan Stegman. That makes sense, as Cates and Stegman are also the creators behind Absolute Carnage itself. Interested readers should check out the first trade paperback, Venom by Donny Cates Vol. 1: Rex. This book collects the story that rewrites Venom’s Marvel history and introduces Knull. The second volume, Abyss, is less directly relevant to the events of Absolute Carnage, but it does deal with some important developments in Eddie Brock’s personal life.
Also key is a one-shot special titled Web of Venom: Cult of Carnage #1, from writer Frank Tieri and artist Joshua Cassara. This book, as much as any other, directly sets the stage for Absolute Carnage. It resurrects Cletus Kasady (following a brief period where he was dead and Norman Osborn inherited the Carnage symbiote), reveals the bond he’s shared with Knull since birth and establishes Kasady’s new mission of hunting down and killing every person who’s ever bonded a symbiote. That includes traditional Spider-Man characters like Peter Parker, Eddie Brock and Mac Gargan as well as other Marvel heroes like Captain America, The Thing and Wolverine. All of them are now in Carnage’s crosshairs, as he seeks to absorb their trace symbiote fragments, reassemble the codex and open a doorway for Knull.

Finally, readers should also hunt down the recent Free Comic Book Day 2019 – Spider-Man/Venom comic. The Venom portion is handled by Cates and Stegman and acts as a direct prologue to Absolute Carnage. It may be tough to find a print copy at this point, but the digital version is available to read for free on Comixology.
Absolute Carnage: What to Read
The Absolute Carnage crossover officially begins with the release of Absolute Carnage #1 on Wednesday, August 7 and runs until early November. In addition to the core Absolute Carnage miniseries (which was originally announced as being four issues but has since expanded to five), Marvel will publish a number of other Absolute Carnage-branded tie-in books. Alongside those releases, both the ongoing Venom and Amazing Spider-Man titles will tie into Absolute Carnage. Marvel released this checklist for all the comics involved in Absolute Carnage:
Tumblr media
Naturally, fans who want to follow the main story threads without buying dozens of tie-in books can follow Absolute Carnage alone and get a complete story. The rest of these books will focus more on how other characters like Spider-Man Miles Morales, Deadpool, Ghost Rider and Hulk are impacted by Carnage’s global attack. Amazing Spider-Man will build on the recent “Red Goblin” storyline from 2018, as Norman Osborn and his grandson Normie are targeted by Cletus Kasady.
If any tie-in book is worth prioritizing, it’s probably Venom. This is the only Absolute Carnage tie-in also written by Cates. This book will deal with Eddie Brock struggle to protect his son Dylan from an army of symbiotes.
What’s Next for Marvel?
As massive as Absolute Carnage is in terms of scope and importance to the Spider-Man/Venom franchise, it also serves as the next step towards a major mystery project Marvel has been teasing in 2019. According to this image, Absolute Carnage, along with War of the Realms and House of X and Powers of X, is a piece of a larger puzzle that culminates in a new project in December 2019.
Tumblr media
What this mystery project might be is still anyone’s guess. We don’t expect Marvel to reveal much until their December 2019 solicitations are revealed in September. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if this book revolves around Knull. If Carnage is ultimately successful in freeing his god, then the entire Marvel Universe will have reason to fear the wrath of Knull. Marvel has already been making efforts to tie Knull to other Marvel characters through books like Thor and Silver Surfer: Black. That could all be in preparation for a Knull-focused crossover event to cap off 2019.
Tumblr media
Another, wildly different possibility is that Marvel is setting the stage for an X-Men vs. Fantastic Four crossover. The two teams were shown butting heads in the recent House of X #1. With Charles Xavier’s recent power grab reverberating across the Marvel Universe, these former allies may find themselves becoming bitter enemies, with powerful mutant Franklin Richards caught in the middle.Jesse is a mild-mannered writer for IGN. VERSES RUNDOWN
Tumblr media
SOME CHESS PIECES ON A BOARD ARE TWO STEPS FORWARD AGAINST THE OPPOSITION |  616 PRE - RETCON v
DEFAULT 616 VERSE.   this verse follows the canon storyline of the prime marvel universe prior to major retcons of character relationships and his character in general. (  mostly due to me not being a huge fan of the carnage mess that happened recently   )
it pulls together the classic canon and current canon up to a point, playing all throughout the canon as it is. where he sits is   JUST BEFORE   he shows up for the final fight before the goblin formula is removed from him by peter in the last issue of the superior spider - man arc. liz removing him of the situation furthered his ability to rise again.
Tumblr media
DESTRUCTIBLE AND VIOLENT  ;  RIPS APART FABRIC AND ‘ LOVED ONES ‘  ALIKE IN THE NAME OF PROGRESS | 616 POST  -  RETCON
SECONDARY 616 VERSE.   basically going to be the exact   opposite   of the pre - retcon. it essentially is the opposite of where the timeline sits. he’s more dangerous simply for the fact that his mental state hasn’t been treated proper  --  he came out of the broken assumption that he was  cletus kasady  and recalled his memories. he knows who spider - man is yet the brain damage from classic canon and the mess that had been carnage, his state is far from stable. though earlier on in this verse he might be a   little   more aggressive. depends.
Tumblr media
I WAS ONCE THE COLDEST STORY EVER TOLD  ;  HEARTLESS AND    FROZEN BUT NOW IN THAW  |  EARTH 91101 VERSE
FOLLOWS DIVERGENT / ALTERED 616 CANON.   the alternate clone saga has norman’s death reversed in the form of being alive again as a clone. he’s better than the first, perfect and not ill like the first before him. he’s more calm, collected and doesn’t hold hatred toward any spider. pretty much  ??   he’s what norman could have been like without the influence of his father pushing him forth, the trauma that it brought, formula within him affecting his personality and mental state and finally  -- the subsequent brain damage from the explosion back in classic 616 canon. he simply wants the cycle of violence to cease.
Tumblr media
A KING OF TWO CASTLES  ;  A KING WITH AN HEIR  ;  AFFLUENCE AND A GROWING EMPIRE ON THE RISE  |  MCU VERSE
ENTIRELY HC BASED UNTIL OTHERWISE.  has no canon and simply follows the guise of this tweet considering the implication the osborn’s exist within the mcu. either way,  he follows 616 comic classic canon from a man creating oscorp from the ground up,  building his company from nothing after graduating college and playing the board of its pieces.  betrayals are inevitable in business and oscorp stands to be growing bigger and larger as the years move on.
an obvious competitor to stark industries,  there’s more than a large rivalry between the two companies and in instances where norman   is   the green goblin,  its clear in its tone when attacks are put forth toward the company and oscorp competitors. yet at beginning there’s no full harm put forth until later when the aggression gets more so.
at current standing he’s bought out and renovating  (   or finished and sitting pretty in his office   )   the avengers tower and being a gremlin man as he always seems to be.
please note:  whether norman is green goblin or just   norman   is entirely up to the partner i write with.  i won’t force anythin’ on anyone  !!
Tumblr media
MY TASK IS TO KILL PETER PARKER | USM VERSE
follows canon of the  comic   ultimate spider-man run from 2000 -  2015 (  the universe is still rolling along i guess but norman kinda was in an out but besides the point   )   where he’s pretty crazy and wishing for peter parker and miles morales to join him. however, upon being denied, in true goblin fashion, tries to kill them both.
at current he’s currently rebuilding his former residence from the ground up through contracts, favors, and money he’s got stored while also running amok and regularly fighting with spider-man.
Tumblr media
GOD SPEED SPIDERMAN | EARTH 96283 / OG SM FILMS VERSE
follows along events of sam raimi’s 2002 spider - man film, during and afterward. due to the serum  (   and, like, every canon  )  he revives and is healed from his injuries sustained from his glider. threads can be anywhere during first  -  third films. still having issues with the goblin’s influence and declining mental health its simply a struggle to present  (   if following SM3 canon, especially after the loss of his only heir.  )
Tumblr media
THIS . .  IS OPPORTUNITY KNOCKING | INSOMNIAC V
follows along the events of insomniac games’ ps4 spider - man game, during or afterward. everything that he’s done in this canon is included in his character, thus his slightly more personable demeanor is there yet still shadowed his his normal self. threads can sit prior to the game but will need to have proper plotting / development.
Tumblr media
THE MORTAL ENEMY YOU BECAME ; KILLED ALL IN YOUR WAY | ALTER  -- SPIDER
SPIDER NORMAN.   this follows the events of   edge of spider - geddon #4  in how it establishes norman is the current  spider - man  of his universe as he tries to find a way to dimensional travel. he’s murdered peter parker and in a battle, his son, harry osborn. most of what comes after he’s pulled into another portal by spider - punk is in the air until after or during spider - geddon.
however most interactions will be him showing up or another muse showing up in his building.
Tumblr media
SOME EARTHS KEEP THE STATUS QUO . . THIS ISN'T ONE OF THEM  |    EARTH 94 VERSE
closed verse with @brothergained.  dances around in their canon and its just a whole plotted hullaballo where everyone’s happy for once

Okay so now that the game is out and I have played fully through the story, here’s what I’ll take as canon for my post-grad verse:
Full Spoilers for the game under the cut
Okay so Peter and MJ’s relationship makes sense in my own internal timeline. I’m thinking like Goblin and Gwen stuff / TASM 2 events taking place in junior year of college, so then a grief stricken Peter focuses his senior year on his studies exclusively and stops being Spidey for that time, during this last year, his already-existing friendship with MJ (since they are ooooooold pals and neighbors and all) blossoms into a full relationship, it is also during this senior year that he starts being a lab assistant for Otto Octavious, and later joins him at Octavious Industries.
I envision there being a one or two year gap between end of college to events of the game, which gives time for his friendship with Otto to breathe and evolve and for his relationship with MJ to deteriorate before breaking up six months before the events of the game.
Him going after Fisk makes sense since Fisk is originally a Spidey villain, I know he is more Daredevil-focused in the MCU so this could be a case of ‘well Pete had been working this with Matt but Matt was busy dealing with Bullseye / taking Fisk down as an attorney’ or whatever
The whole Norman / Harry stuff is dicey considering Harry is Future Symbiote Host #1, so this could be like, events of TASM 2 are a bit skewed as Norman doesn’t die / becomes a head in a jar (oh yeah that totally happens in TASM 2 it’s just cut from the final movie), so maybe it’s a bit like Spectacular Spidey in that regard where Harry drank the goblin formula and went a Bit crazy whereas Norman just absorbed it as a gas and was much better as a result and such, so maybe it’s a similar case where Harry injected the spider venom into himself instead of absorbing it as a gas and such and Norman sent Harry to Europe for ‘’treatment’’ but really he’s currently in Symbiote Jello?? Does this make any sense???? idk, it’s not Entirely Vital currently
I really love the design of the Advanced Suit so it might be?? canon?? for this verse?? it’s a sexy suit and heroes get design upgrades all the time, heck Tom’s allegedly getting a new Spidey Suit for Far From Home so it makes sense.
AS FOR THE BIG ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
I don’t want to take May’s death as canon. I mean, I loved how they did it in the game, it was extremely well acted and written but, it feels like a dick-move to be like ‘HERE IS THIS HUGE THING IN MY OWN CANON THAT YOU MIGHT NOT NECESSARILY AGREE WITH’ to writing partners, you know? I could take it as canon in plotted-out threads, if need be, but my go-to is that she doesn’t die due to Devil’s Breath, maybe just Really Messed Up.
And as a final note Pete’s job-less status at the end of the game coupled with his stick-it note at the beginning of the game about ‘Calling TS about job offer’ fits perfectly with my adult verse being all about Pete being a scientist working for SI so, game is really in-line with all my verses in that regard lmfao
DOES THIS MAKE ANY LICK OF SENSE?? OR IS THIS JUST A GIANT POINTLESS WORD VOMIT? JOKES ON YOU TI’S BOTH

Your Friendly Neighborhood Pool Guy cp.3
When I wake up I feel as those I’ve just been thrown through a wall. My head is pounding something awful and my body aches in ways I’ve never felt before, but the most obvious difference is I can see. I can see everything perfectly fine, which wasn’t the case yesterday. I reach up feeling across my eyes and waiting to touch glass but my glasses aren’t there. Scrambling to sit up I look around my room in a daze. All the colors are brighter, more intense and if I focus on my backpack I can see the threads of the fabric.
The stabbing feeling splitting through my head starts to get worse as I look around causing me to lay back down. I try to correct my breathing as I lay in bed going over everything that’s happened in the last twenty-four hours. The field trip, a spider bite- I check my hand only opening my left eye enough to inspect the area. Nothing.
I stay like that in bed for what feels like forever, breathing in deeply through my mouth and out my nose trying to feel somewhat normal again. Finally feel well enough to sit up, and when I do I take a moment to settle before I try to stand. Once I’m up it’s like all the pain was just a dream, I feel- amazing. Like new really.
“Peter!” I hear aunt May call from somewhere down stairs.
“Yeah?” I answer.
“You’d better be up!”
“I am!” Pulling off the clothes they must have left me in from yesterday I turn to start going through my drawer for a new shirt when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Now I’ve never really been anything other than thin, just a stick with no muscle to speak of, but looking at myself now it’s hard to believe I’ve never actually stepped foot into a gym outside of a school setting. The definition in my abdomen isn’t something that usually pops up overnight.
I continue to inspect myself as I undress completely, taking note of the differences in my body from just the day before. I look to my hand again as I pull on a new shirt. This has to have something to do with that spider from the museum. Deciding that I’ll ask Harry about those papers he mentioned possibly getting I shrug it off for the moment I make my way down stairs. Aunt May’s got the table set up as always with more than enough food for everyone.
“How are you feeling?” She asks as I take my spot at the table.
“Better, a lot better actually.” I smile up at her and she nods.
“Good, wouldn’t want you missing any school.” This time I nod as I begin to fill me plate. Ben walks in not too long after.
“Look at you- good as new, huh?” He raises an eyebrow, to which I nod sipping my orange juice.
“Yeah, I guess so.” He laughs and ruffles my already unruly hair.
“That’s my boy!”
“You know,” Aunt May starts, “Harry seemed very worried yesterday, couldn’t get straight sentence out of him while he was on the phone.” She’s got this know-it-all smile on as I flush a deep red.
“He’s a good friend!” I say quickly. “I would hope he would be worried.”
“Friend hmm?” Ben says next to me.
“Both of you stop it now.” I plead feeling the embarrassment in my bones. Aunt May and uncle Ben had known about my crush just about as long as I had. From the get-go I’d been a little too infatuated with the cool boy from my class. At least that’s how I’d referred to him before we’d been formally introduced. It was during one of Oscorps holiday parties, Mom and Dad had been over the moon when they found out that kids were going to be allowed that year. It was the first time I’d ever had to wear anything formal but it was completely worth it because from that day Harry and I had been somewhat inseparable.
I remember when Mrs. Osborns diagnoses had been confirmed, Harry had cried with me in his room for hours. Same with when his mother died, and then he’d been there for me when my parents had been killed in the accident. Mr. Osborn had offered to adopt me but I chose to live with aunt May and uncle Ben.
“Whatever you say Peter.” May says, as usual having to have the last word. Ben smiles at his wife fondly. I truly am lucky for have such understanding people in my life.
Once I’ve finished breakfast I kiss aunt May and grad everything I’ll need for school that day, feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket as I step out of the door. I pull up messages as I stand on the sidewalk smiling when I see it’s from Harry.
-Pete, picking you up, stay where you are nerd.
-I hope this doesn’t mean we’re going to be late to school. May’s really tired of getting those calls you know.
-Seriously you care about this stuff way too much.
-That’s because I actually need to get good grades to go to a nice school and get a job.
-Are you implying that I don’t?
-You know you don’t. I laugh looking up as a sleek black car pulls up to the curb in front of me. The back door pushes open showing off a pouty Harry.
“That stings Pete.” He says as I slip into the back.
“Yeah well it’s the truth.” This time he sighs.
“You might be right. It’s just that you’re the only person with enough balls to actually tell me the truth.” He slumps down into the seat.
“And that, my dear friend, is why you keep me around. I keep you grounded in reality.” I pull my backpack around to sit in my lap.
“Among other things, I suppose.” Harry whispers to himself, but I ignore it.
“Hey, Har?” He raises his eyebrow at me in a way that suggest I should continue. “About those papers you were saying you could get for me-” He laughs.
“Knew you couldn’t resist, which is why I asked dad last night- and,” He reaches into his own backpack that’s sitting on the floor of the car unzipped and untidy inside. “I got them this morning, you’re welcome nerd.”
“Why do you always call me that?” I ask grabbing the papers from him and beginning to flip through them.
“Because you are a nerd.” I spend the rest of the ride completely immersed in the papers. As far as I can tell there doesn’t seem to be anything too crazy about the experiments going on, but there’s parts were it seems like some information has been deleted. The only thing of any real interest is this previous experiment they keep referencing, but before I can get too far in the papers we're pulling up to the school.
I say goodbye to Harry as we part in the front entryway of the school, promising to see him at lunch in the library. Getting to my first class isn’t too hard but focusing is something else completely. By the end I just barely manage to finish the paper that was passed out. The whole day seems to go by like that, slow and uneventful, until lunch rolls around. We’re in the library, I have the papers out and am trying to find anything that could tell what experiment they’re referencing when the flat screen tv’s that were gifted to the school by one Norman Osborn turn on. The speakers that are usually used for the announcements come on as the picture on the tv zooms in on who could only be Tony Stark.
“Holy shit.” Harry says as the telecaster starts to inform of us of what we’re watching.
“We’ve just received word today that Tony Stark, owner of Stark industries has been rescued after spending close to a year in captivity. Mr. Stark disappeared last year during a military weapons display. Obadiah Stane, acting CEO of Stark Industries released a statement on behalf of the Company.” I stop listening after that as I watch the most well known man be escorted onto a plane.
“I totally thought he was dead.” Harry states.
“Everyone did.” I answer, but my mind’s elsewhere. Oscorp isn’t the only one working on this project. “Hey Har?” He turns to me.
“Yeah?”
“Does Stark Industries keep different files?” He looks confused.
“I don’t think so? It wouldn’t be much of a collaboration if they did. Why? Is there something wrong with the papers?” He leans closer looking them over quickly.
“These paragraphs aren’t very cohesive. See this one,” I point it out on the paper so he can follow along. “Doesn’t flow into the next one, as if there’s supposed to be something between them that’s been taken out. Without that paragraph this, no these papers are useless.” Harry picks them up and starts reading over them himself.
“So you think Stark industries is keeping something from Oscorp?” He asks looking at me.
“That or your dad didn’t give you the whole thing.” He thinks for a minute before nodding.
“I think I know someone we can ask about this. You free after class?” And that is how we end up down at the campus.
“Are we even allowed to be here?” I whisper as we walk through the halls.
“Are you kidding me? I don’t know if you realize it or not but my dad has a bit of a penchant for talking about you with his work friends, which mean most of these professors are already drooling themselves over the prospect of teaching you, so it’s safe to say we’re fine. Besides, they know me.” He waves to a security guard to prove his point and the man nods back.
We have to wait outside one of the lecture halls for about twenty minutes, which Harry spends teasing me about random things. I’m nearly ready to call myself a cab and call it a day when the first of the students start filing out. We stand there for at least eight more minutes before there’s finally a break in the wave of students and we can make our way inside. Once we’re inside I see that we’ve just spent thirty minutes waiting to talk to Doctor Octavius.
“Harry?” I look over to him wildly, grabbing his arm pulling him back. He stumbles a bit, having to break his I-have-a-purpose walk.
“What?’ He whisper yells back to me, eyes ridiculously wide.
“We can’t just walk in on Doctor Octavius!” I say and he huffs rolling his eyes.
“And why not?” He asks putting his hands into his slack pockets casually, making his blazer to that- that thing that just, god, I wish he wouldn’t wear such fancy clothes, he looks so good in them.
“Well we aren’t his students for one,” I gesture between us, but Harry looks unphased and perfect. “And he’s probably busy.”
“Yeah, okay, you stay here then and I’ll go talk to him.” He turns to leave but I grab his arm again.
“Harry!” I whine, because I give up, yes I whine.
“Peter!” He mimics me. “When did you get so strong?” He asks, looking me over.
“I- what?” Shit, I nearly forgot. Wait for I really do have muscles now?
“Nevermind- com’on stop being such a baby.” He grabs my wrist and pulls me to his side where he then puts his hand on the small of my back pushing forward. “Octavius!” Harry pulls that charming yet not at all real smile he gives everyone accept people he knows. The Doctor turn his head smiling just as nicely at us as we walk down.
“Ah, Harry Osborn what a nice surprise.” He shakes Harry’s hand and then turns to me. “And who’s this? The boyfriend maybe?” He looks at Harry knowingly.
“Possibly.” Harry says and I am completely blindsided though in the next moment he’s pulling the papers out and moving on. “Well Otto, I’m going to get right to it because I know you’re a busy man,” He holds them out to the man who takes them easily, flipping through them and skimming quickly.
“This isn’t really my area of expertise.” He says.
“That’s true, but I was wondering if maybe you know of the experiment they mention. It seems to be a fairly old one, but every time it’s mentioned the paragraph after is deleted so the information is useless.” The Doctor looks it over again, huming to himself as he notices the discrepancies himself.
“What project is this for?” He asks.
“It’s a collaboration between Oscorp and Stark Industries.” Recognition flares in his eyes.
“I do know the experiment they’re talking about in these.” Harry looks at me and then back to the Doctor.
“Well?” He asks.
“The super soldier experiments they did back in world war two. I didn’t know that anyone was still trying to recreate the experiment after Dr.Bruce Banner's failed attempts.” I recognize that name.
“Doctor Baner died in those experiments.” I say looking at Harry, Doctor Octavius suddenly seems very uncomfortable. “Didn’t he?” I ask. The man looks around skeptically.
“I didn’t tell you this, okay? After I tell you this I suggest you drop it. Nothing good will come from any of it, you understand. This isn’t the first time those fools have tried this type of thing, the last time Dr. Banner- he, hell I don’t know what happened to him but he just wasn’t the same and know one’s seen him since. And the time before was the explosion at Oscorp.” I suck in a sharp breath and feel Harry place a hand on my back.
“Has it ever been successful?” He asks.
“Yes,” The Doctor nods. “Only once though, in 1941, but those were very special circumstances.”
“Why?” Harry presses.
“This is that last thing I’ll tell you and then I want you to walk away from this okay?”
“Yeah okay.” Harry promises.
“His names was Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America.” He says.
“I thought he was just some character.” Harry seems surprised, I am too, no one really believed he was all they said.
“That’s what they wanted.” The Doctor sighs. “Now if you’ll excuse me.” He says pointedly and Harry nods.
“What could they want with a super soldier?” Harry asks once the Doctors left and we’re walking out.
“I don’t know.” I say quietly, but I plan to find out. After all I didn’t promise to let it go.
