When BoJack Horseman (2014-2020) said "you can't keep doing shitty things and then feel bad about yourself like that makes it ok. you need to be better" and "all we have are the connections we make" and "I really should've thought about the view from halfway down" and "sometimes you have to take responsibility for your own happiness" and "you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, you turn yourself around, THAT'S what it's all about" and "things have to get worse before they can get better" and "in real life, the big gesture isn't enough, you need to be consistent" and "if we hadn't met each other until now, we wouldn't be the people we are now" and, my personal favourite, "every day it gets a little easier, but you gotta do it every day, that's the hard part, but it does get easier".

Katja Cleaver doesn't get enough attention for being the most 'poor little meow meow' character i've ever seen in my life. literally off the walls 'she was found in a wet cardboard box on the side of the road' energy

i've seen a couple people assuming that A Madelyne Situation is happening, and that's absolutely not impossible (the baby is nathan, sinister is in the opening...) but the next episode is called "fire made flesh" which makes me think we're doing more of a phoenix thing, similar to that one "what if" where phoenix!jean accidentally kills not-phoenix!jean (although obviously in this situation not-phoenix!jean is still alive)
or maybe we're combining both of those concepts, idk. the baby in that "what if" was rachel, after all, not nathan.

I can’t even with how when the monkees are at the beach they’re just all like asleep under an umbrella or something while Davy sits there playing in the sand like a three year old. Like what is he doing? Little boy things, picking sand up and putting it down. He’s having a good time, but like, did a director tell real Davy to do that? Show-Davy just likes to play in the sand like a little one.
I’m sure peter comes over and plays with him sometimes, maybe micky goes and runs around. Or he bothers Mike, who’s sitting there watching them all with his sunglasses on because he is the dad™️, and sitting under the umbrella because if he steps out of the shade, he burns like a bitch cause he’s so pale.
If the “kids” aren’t all occupied, Mike sometimes has one in his lap because it’s sunny and beach naps are nice and Mike is always good at giving cuddles. He’s got long arms, he could hug all three.

Not to be an animanga fan on main (one of the main topics i talk about) BUT oushi from a sign of affection sucks so much ass dude. Say what you want about him as a kid learning sing language and calling yuki an idiot, he was a kid its whatever. The issue is. He acts the exact same, while also infantalizing yuki and acting like she cant make her own decisions, and deciding that, even though he knows nothing about itsuomi and hasnt seen yuki and itsuomi interact, that CLEARLY itsuomi is just using her and eventually he’ll leave or some shit. Hes made up this whole false narrative, as if yuki cant make her own decisions, because she’s a disabled person. Literally fuck off sooo much dude. She’s deaf, not a fucking child. Get a grip, and acknowledge that shes never gonna be in a relationship w you dude. And also maybe grow as a person or some shit godbless.

special interest rant.
i get so sad when people hate certain aspects of my special interests :(
my main special interest is the my little pony franchise; that includes every version. but people only like friendship is magic (the 2010 tv show) and it makes me sad cuz all the other generations (thats what each version is called) are just as good :(
my favourite generation is generation 3 but people think its creepy :( when its not !!! its the sweetest tv show and i like it because i can actually process it unlike shows made for older audiences. sometimes i just want to watch cute ponies throwing parties everyday man... sometimes (most of the time tbh) thats all i can handle. same with generation 5 (the most recent version); its the cutest little series and i love it dearly but everyone hates it and everytime i see people hating on it i feel like crying. ive had meltdowns over it before and its honestly very embarrassing
like why does this thing that brings me so much comfort, stability and joy bring you so much hatred ??? in my mind that just doesnt make sense :(

Maybe I just need to stop expecting you to be a good person, so that way, I won't get hurt when you're not.

Out of all the things that threw me through a loop in the mario movie, the bros taking their gloves off was the most oddly jarring. I said out loud “they have flesh hAnds!-”

I think my favorite character detail for Blitz is his complete adoration of horses. There's no tragedy or anything there, he's just adored them since he was a kid, growing up around a bunch in the circus. And it's like, he makes the same face every time
(in this last one Blitz is saying the names of the horses he wants to get for the circus he wanted, and real quick, HE WANTED TO NAME THE HORSES STAPLER AND BISCUIT QUEEN 🥺🥺)

So according to this research, Mariah's Bastet can speed up the metal objects to Mach 2, which is about the speed of a bullet, the closer the objects get to her victims.
Considering if CDDH is canon (which I do), the way that magnetised Hol managed to turn the corner and close the door against all the swords and sharp objects chasing after him in the very last seconds, just screams more proof of Hol's agility to me :0
To turn the corner while making sure those swords don't make a turn along with him, takes a millisecond decision-making and less than one second of dodging.
And to react to the swords chasing him back by closing the door the exact time they reach Mach 2...
Given Hol's approximate age in CDDH, my man didn't seemed to skip training his mental finesse. Even if his body is not durable (which it actually is, as shown in Chapter 12), Hol's quick thinking is truly his strength card.
While it is not possible for a human to dodge a bullet, in Mariah's case, the objects move slower than Mach 2 at a certain distance, giving Hol enough time i.e. milliseconds to dodge as long as he can see these objects and mentally calculate the distance and speed before they reach him. Which I'm sure he can do so in a blink, considering that he can expertly control his bullets at that same Mach 2 speed.
Now I just want Hol Horse's backstory to how he managed to be so freaking agile, like what sort of Rocky Balboa training he had as a gunslinger. Obviously his agility is not Emperor's work...

I think one of my favourite moments from Bojack Horseman is when Emily is asking Todd if he's gay. Because Todd says 'I'm not gay, but I don't think I'm straight either. I think I might be nothing'. And like. Same.
I remember before finding out I was ace, that I genuinely thought I was nothing because I had never heard of a sexuality that described what I felt. I was so confused for so long and eventually I just gave up and accepted I 'wasn't anything'.
I think the whole 'i think I might be nothing' might be a universal experience for asexual and aromatic people. It probably applies to other people too, because there just isn't enough queer media out there with sexualities and gender identities that are less well known. Which is very messed up but that's a topic for another day.
Anyway the point is I love that scene because I had never seen an Ace character like me before I watched it. And it makes me want to sob on the floor uncontrollably every time I re-watch it because it makes me feel seen. And after that scene Todd being Ace isn't something that's never mentioned again. It isn't something that's shoehorned in there so they can tick a diversity box, it's actually good representation. He has a whole character arc where he realises who he is and he even says out loud that he's asexual. It isn't implied, he is canonically ace. And not a single character makes fun of him for it. They actually made sure it was good representation.
I love Bojack Horseman. It's a great show.
