Music shows be like "time for the dance break!" And then the dance break looks like this:
#man I fucking love this new group of actual ants#like how did they train them? are they a boy group or girl group? how does the queen feel?#will they be allowed to go back to the anthill? or will they live in dorms?#do any of them know english/korean or will their lyrics be in ant language?#is it just Workers or also Soldiers?#this is the dance break for Guerrilla btw#so it's ateez#or at least#I think it is *squints* they're in there somewhere#this was almost the entirety of the dance break btw#the camerawork was so BAD omg#ruined several parts of New World since they kept doing top down shots#and the whole beginning needs to be be seen from the front#otherwise you're not looking at anything#so bad#like I know you spent all that money making a nice stage#but I am not here to look at architecture#I am here to see people sing and dance#you have no need for a stage if if you don't have performers#get your head out of your ass music shows#show us the stage in incidental shots going to or coming back from commercials#or when we go back to the hosts or when you show the audience cheering before or after performances#my god#not DURING the performance#sorry for ranting on main-- it just annoys me#and Guerrilla has such a wild and fun dance break#and I couldn't see any of it between the cameras and all the pyrotechnics and smoke in the way#I'll just go back and watch other stages of it; thanks#also: it's hilarious that sbs did All I Want for Christmas Is You two years in a row lol#but didn't have anyone sing it this year

Hi, I've seen your blog and it appears to me that you've watched a lot of gdh movies. So I was wondering this: what is your top 5 gdh movie? I, for my part, have only watched two so far: oh my girl ! and you, me and me which is one of my favorite movie this year so far.
it brings me to tears (happily) whenever someone talks to me about GDH films ಥ_ಥ so here are my favorite GDH films (in this order as of this moment, no. 2 to no. 5 interchange from time to time depending on my mood)
1. Bad Genius (2017) and Bad Genius: The Series (2020)
So whenever I'm asked about GDH, the first film I instantly recommend would be Bad Genius. Because not only is Bad Genius imho THE film that puts GDH on the map, I think it has a lot of influence on Thai cinematic works, and to some extent television works.
Essentially, Bad Genius is a story about Lin, a straight A student who team up with her friends to pull off a large scale cheating scheme on an SAT-like exam. It's a heist thriller drama that definitely leaves me feeling stressed out as hell as if I was there in the testing room with those students.
I know it's kind of a cheat to also add this, but whenever I recommend Bad Genius, I also must recommend Bad Genius: The Series which is a 12 episode series that serves as a more detailed+sequel version of the film. I love this series because the young actors of the series gave me a fresh take on the characters I already know and loved so I had a great time falling in love with all of them again. The series fixed a few plotholes/qualms I had with the cinematic version as well as an extensive background story on Bank (played by Nonkul Chanon in film, Jaonaay Jinjett in series), my favorite character from this franchise so Bad Genius: The Series is the one work I cannot recommend enough.
One of the things I love about the series as well is that it also maintained the exact same vibes and cinematography like color-grading, camerawork...
2. OMG! Oh My Girl (2022)
I am a sucker for 'seemingly unrequited love' and 'right person, wrong time' tropes so this film really hit ALL the spots for me at its release.
Stylisticaly speaking, I absolutely love the Wes Anderson-esque zoom-in-from-afar shots for comedic effect. many stellar comedic moments where i laughed out loud. I think the humor in this film is poignant, accompanied by great comedic timing from both leads.
One of the highlights of Oh My Girl aside from the many subversions to romcom clichés, I like how Guy (the ML played by the incredible Sky Wongravee) was a morally grey protagonist and that the film isn't afraid to call out his problematic "nice guy" facade. He's a self-aware jerk and I genuinely love his self-awareness.
3. One For The Road (2021)
So I didn't watch this at release and it took quite a while before I gathered the determination to sit down and watch this on Netflix on a late rainy evening. Little did I know, I would soon be crying screaming bawling my eyes.
One For The Road is about Aood (Ice Natara) who enlists his estranged friend, Boss (Tor Thanapob) on a road trip to return items to his exes before he dies.
If I had a nickel for every time GDH wanted to give me a selfish, jerky male protagonist, I would have like four or five nickels but it's crazy that it's happened so many times (formulaically one would say) and here I am still empathizing and crying over these kinda jerky male protagonists.
The soundtrack was just brilliant. To quote a review I once wrote, the director, the music score and composer were truly out for blood with the soundtrack for this movie and they did it. This film is a good example of how important soundtrack and film scores are to elevate the narrative being told.
There are so many things to praise about the production but if I had to choose one thing, it would be the excellent mise-en-scene of this film. Every shot is dazzling, intentional and fill with metaphors. It was truly beautiful.
4. Not Friends (2023)
So I went into this thinking it would be Thai take on Dear Evan Hansen but I was so glad that it wasn't the case even though there are similarities.
Not Friends continues to deliver GDH's classic "selfish jerky male protagonist" with Pae (Anthony Buisseret) who just transferred to a new school in his last year of high school. Seeing no chances in getting into university through the entrance exam, Pae decides to enter a film contest by making a film about Joe (Jump Pisitpol), his seat mate who recently passed away.
The film had me bawling my eyes out in theatres by the end. I love that there were a lot philosophical questions like how much we value a friend's worth in the film. If you like Baipor/Anthony tandem in You & Me & Me, Not Friends is a must-watch for this acting duo reunion.
5. The Con-Heartist (2020)
So for the last spot, I debated a lot between two romantic comedies (both starring Baifern Pimchanok), The Con-Heartist (2020) and Friend Zone (2019). I recently rewatched the former and was reminded by how much I love the zany humor in this film so she gets the last spot.
The Con-Heartist is about Noina (Baifern Pimchanok), who is in debt because of her ex-boyfriend so she hires a con artist, Tower (Nadech Kugimiya) to help her get revenge against her ex-boyfriend by swindling him.
Even though it's billed as a romantic comedy, I think it's more comedy-leaning compared to Friend Zone but I love the comedic moments the two leads, Baifern and Nadech. พี่ไม่หล่อลวง by BamBam is the OST song for the film and it has never left my Spotify Wrapped for the last 3 years 😭
+bonus: How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies (2024)
This is the first GDH film from 2024 and although it comes out in like two weeks, I can feel it's going to dethrone one of the films in my top 5 list for sure. If you're thinking of going to watch something at the cinema soon, I hope you consider checking out Lahn Mah this April!
I hope you give one of these GDH films a chance. I love watching GDH films because although they can have different directors/team of scriptwriters, they always end up with certain similarities (be it cinematography or screenplay or characters). While not all GDH films are incredible masterpieces but out of the Thai production houses for films, I would say GDH 559 (and its predecessor GTH) has the most solid record of having strong and compelling cinematic works.

Hm, okay so looking like the pirates part will get skipped over. Gran Gran really stepping up in this live-action adaptation... outing Aang as the Avatar, delivering the iconic "everything changed" lines, and now being the way Katara got the waterbending scroll. And.. as a bonus.. Gran Gran tells her (though not in exact wording) to always remember who she is. Shades of Gyatso telling Aang something similar. Awww.. got some feels.
And more feels with the Gyatso burial.. I'm glad they added more air temple. It felt so rushed at the end of last episode.

Hmmm, trying to decide how I feel about Suki. I mean I like her, but it doesn't feel like original Suki either. It feels like she's absolutely not sure how to flirt with Sokka even if she wants to.
Aang saying he had people scared of him, like Katara and Sokka were when he was in the avatar state.. it's one of the sad things I miss about the changes. In the original, it was more like Katara at least was scared FOR him, not OF him, when he was in that state. Maybe this chat will help it get to that point though.
Oh okay. A little training montage to help with the flirting lol. Looks like they're giving Suki the "help him with his form" that Katara had with Aang in the original.

So. Making Zhao trash Kyoshi village sort of feels like trying to make Zuko not as much the bad guy. Meanwhile, Zuko fighting Katara while she's trying to protect spirit-journeyed Aang seems like a nod to what originally happened at the NWT, so I wonder if that will be altered now too. And I mean, awesome for Kyoshi Island to get to see "Kyoshi" fighting but.. I dunno, I kind of like the original better. Okay.. reminder to self.. remember your promise to imagine this being an "AU fanfic done big".

Okay, this one didn't feel as rushed pacing-wise. Mainly it just focused on one episode of the original though, with nods pulled in from other episodes. The costuming was super cool, and there was a lot of pretty lighting with the camerawork, and I appreciate the little lighthearted scenes sprinkled in too. I hope we keep getting those because all-heavy, all the time would be exhausting.. and not true to the spirit of the original, where Aang brought light and joy.

I was hooked by the end of the episode. I'm no longer in the catholic church but this fucking series reminded for a bit about what it was all about and allowed me to appreciate the good of catholicism but reaffirm the bad things that made me leave without further internal issues. It's a master work of writing and rewatch it every few months and recommend it for everyone if not for the content then for Lenny's astronomical sass.
Omg, I have a similar opinion about the whole series! A work of ART from the script, the dialogues, the camerawork... just everything. Christianity has always fascinated me, as a child I was the most active student in religion class tbh 😂 But let's say the teachers didn't like my questions and often couldn't answer my questions haha. In general, I have always been very interested in religions. And even today I still like to visit churches and stuff, so I've been devooouring this series. And I don't know why, but I'm almost always lucky because when some nice cathedral or church is closed, a priest appears and opens it for me, lucky me! 🤠😄 And I almost always have a great conversation with them! While I'm taking pictures of the cathedral, they tell me interesting things about the church or history, so it's always very interesting. And they are not afraid to answer my questions… That’s a big + 😄 Even though nowdays I visit churches and cathedrals only for their artistic and historical side.

Kingdom EP 3: The FAVORITISM starts showing.
I'll only shortly talk about the stages, because man, I need to rant about this ranking.
1. ♛ ATEEZ: Hongjoong watching pirates of the carribbean as research omg this man is amazing. I usually dislike remixes but my god they chose Dvorak?! ATEEZ x orchestral stuff = eargasm. Loved the arrangement. Loved the pirate concept. The stage was simple but effective, besides the ... Huge Kraken arm ...
2. SF9: What differed them a lot from all others was the fact they included women in their performance, and it had an extremely sensual vibe ... Loved the outfits, love the arrangement, loved the interactions with the dancers. I think the camera work was low-key off at some points, for example when Dawon danced in the center between the dancers, he was covered by them a lot ... Idk if that was on purpose. I also would have highlighted Jaeyoon's jump with better camerawork tbh but well.
3. Stray Kids: Honestly I had no idea what's happening there, there was even more going on than in the tbz stage before, totally not my cup of tea. Felt super messy and overwhelming to me, and EXTREMELY long.
Now to the voting. This ugly favouritism pls stop it.
Expert rankings were: ATEEZ • SKZ • TBZ • SF9 • iKON and BTOB (tied)
1. I low-key have a problem with the budget allocation. It is absolutely clear that ATEEZ for example got a huge budget. Do you know how insanely expensive an animatronic is (the arm of the octopus, a robotic puppet)? Such a thing costs thousands, even ten thousands of dollars, usually they are used in amusement parks or movies. Remember the old Jurassic Park movies? Those were animatronics. They mostly are custom-made and hence cost a shitload of money. Idk it doesn't seem fair to me, considering MNET even admitted that sth went wrong with budget communication ... [Edit: I have no proof for it being an animatronic, because the only other opinion would be an inflatable and it looked too controlled to be an inflatable. But again, I can't guarantee.]
2. The expert votes clearly show one thing: dancing and singing alone literally has no value in that show, and I find this pretty ridiculous tbh. Did you freaking hear BTOB's highnotes and vocal stability? Well it's apparently not of much value in the world of kingdom. In that world you get rewarded for putting together a musical stunt show... I wasn't aware that this is the genre of the show really. Like don't get me wrong. It's cool. But if your program clearly is about a freaking action show, then it isn't surprising that those groups who perform that way anyways will always win? This is literal favoritism and it shows. The groups that did movie-like stunt shows are placed 1-3 and the rest, who performed in more traditional style, is ranked below? What a coincidence ha. ha. ha.
Ya know. That crap already started in RTK. TBZ kept coming up with full stunt shows and huge stages, and ALWAYS placed first. And it'll be the same way here. The bigger the stage, the more props, the more fire and stunts, the higher you'll rank. I find this all so ridiculous that it's funny again. Hear me hysterically laughing because I KNEW it'll be exactly like that.
That show literally favors the recent generation of groups and I find this quite saddening. Everyone should get a chance, but they casted the participants in a way that it was clear from beginning on that some groups would look utterly pale in comparison. Not because they can't sing. Not because they can't dance. But simply because they don't act as if they are the lead roles in an action movie ... or game of thrones lol. Every single group there works super hard, but it's simply not fair that a certain concept gets favoured. Like MNET knew that beforehand ... Why didn't they just give them the official mission to do a musical/movie-like stage? Then everyone would have had the same chances.
3. Due to the groups' voting, SF9 dropped to rank 6. I only had to hear their rank and I already knew how the rest of the ranking looks. It's incredibly predictable. The groups rated mostly for the huge stages (ATEEZ AND SKZ). BTOB has immense seniority so they probably got votes due to respect and politeness. SF9 and iKON are the youngest out of the "traditional stage" club and consequently are not impressive enough and rank last. iKON debuted a year before SF9 and has some sort of status due to their origin in one of the (former) big 3 aka YG ent. I'm low-key sad that SF9 got 0 votes holy crap. I don't critisize the groups for voting how they did tho, it's obviously their own decision. This was just my take on explaining why it turned out that way.
Conclusion: The ranking literally consists of the first 3 groups being ZZZ with their stuntshows, followed by the "traditional stages" ranked according to their seniority.
I have the bad feeling that this entire show will be a battle betwee ZZZ and the other groups will have no chance.
My Personal Round 2 Ranking:
1. ATEEZ - top-notch arrangement/performance and I'm a sucker for pirate stuff. (however bitter side taste because of budget ...)
2. BTOB - unique af because slow-paced x vocals.
3. iKON - perfect song mix for me, simple and clear story. (tied with SF9)
3. SF9 - majestic and sophisticated, great interaction with dancers (tied with iKON)
4. TBZ - too much drama, didn't get the concept, dislike the song. Yes it's that easy. (tied with SKZ)
4. SKZ - too messy for my taste, too many scenes, same vibe like tbz (tied with TBZ)

just wanted to say your tonal point about omfd is spot on and ALSO is or just me or is the way it’s shot also all over the place??? like some time it’s shot very flatly like a sitcom (which does nothing for historical costuming imo it’s one of the reasons I feel like so many costume drama comedies look so bad) and then sometimes it’s shot extremely well??? like I think it does improve in that regard as it goes on but it’s just weird that they didn’t seem to have it figured out how it should be shot almost? It definitely doesn’t seem like an intentional thing
Omg I was just talking about that!! Yeah its so weirdly shot like considering they had big film directors including taika himself direct some eps I was disappointed in the overall cinematography it's very flat?? some stuff is kinda interesting like the overhead shot with stede and ed on the ground when he touched his foot was nice and the occasional edgar wright esque quick cuts was some good visual humour but generally very unoriginal camerawork which is odd especially as hbo stuff is so overly stylized you almost expect it.
Also the shots of stedes cabin are beautiful but the rest of the ship is like yeah anyway here's a wooden room??? I have so many questions what they were aiming for it goes from bright sitcom to horror comedy quick cuts to faded romantic grading tonal whiplash

Japanese Movie Review part 1/?
I have been watching some japanese movies because I was stuck writing my series. And I think I want to share you guys what I think about them.
Disclaimer: it is only my opinion.
1. Wotakoi: love is hard for otaku (2020)
5/10
I actually love the manga. Hirotaka looks so chill but cares for her. But instead in this movie, hirotaka acted kinda annoying. He wants narumi to stop being an otaku, but he is still gaming. Such an hypocrite. Although he showed an effort by trying being a wibu but it doesn't make any sense. Whoever writes this movie literally forget the essence in the manga, how 2 couples - 4 different otaku- get together and become friends. I can't see any of that in this movie. I hate that the other couple only shows up in the last part of the movie.
Also the way it suddenly turned into musically is shocking. I don't find it funny. The chemistry somehow so awkward and I don't find it adorable at all.
The only win in this movie was Yamaken is such a hottie in those glasses and suit. (JUST LOOK AT THAT POSTER, OMG)
2. Kaguya-sama Love is war (2019)
7/10
I don't read nor watch the anime. But this story is good. The awkwardness is actually necessary in this movie, so the actors did their jobs well. I also love how the writer didn't force so many progress in one movie. The one thing I hate is how the pinky girl wore her wig and also the male lead had an awkward hairstyle. I assume that they wanted to be as similar as possible with the manga/anime but it is just so awkward.
I hope to see the sequel for this movie. Love the slow burn. Well, I actually will be happier if this is a dorama/drama, not a movie. It will be 9/10.
3. Kiss me at the stroke of midnight (2019)
5/10
I Love kanna. But I don't really like her with this guy. I can't find their chemistry. The story is kinda cringey and cliche. Whoever wrote the movie is just forcing too much in this one movie. I can't feel how they like each other. Literally almost after the middle of the movie, I was asking myself 'are they fall in love with each other?'. The aww moment is not exist at all. The only thing I found cute in this movie is when he kissed her still on his mask. The nose kiss was supposed to be cute and heart throbbing but somehow it looks kinda disgusting (probably because of the bad camera angle). I dont hate the male lead, but I think I just can't like that type of man. Lmao
4. Masquerade hotel (2019)
9/10
If you don’t want to watch another shoujo, or lovey-dovey stuff. Watch this!!
Maybe it is because the actors here are all seniors. The acting was superb. The chemistry was excellent. Although it is not a romance movie. The camerawork was fantastic. The details in the movie are just great. The only bad thing in this movie was how it is kinda easy to guess how it ends. I also love how this movie is easy to watch, you don't need to think that much. it is a fun movie. I don’t want to spill anymore details because it is a mystery movie. you should watch it yourself!
5. Sensei (2017)

I watched this movie with an intention to find the cringey part. I don't want to romanticize teacher-student relationship. But this movie is wow. I read many mangas about this topic, and it is usually about like the only young teacher in the school, sometimes with more dominance which made it kinda disgusting. But in this movie, the school had many young teachers. I love how they potrayed the students as natural as possible, how the students are so friendly with their teachers like they're friends. Even two of the friends love the teacher as well! This movie potrays from different part of this genre, how 2 human being get comfortable with each other and finally fall in love. Again, I am not romanticizing this kind of relationship, but Love is not a sin, isn’t it?
I love how they build up the relationship. Slowly. I am 26, but my heart was racing when I watched this movie especially the interaction between the teacher and the student. It is so adorable. It is just shared glances, no complicated conversation, but somehow it brought the feeling to this movie. (Whoever made the ‘kiss at the stroke of midnight’ should focusing some of these more before jumping into dating.)
Also the camerawork and the lighting, omg. Lovesss how they suddenly brought a beautiful flare of lights to ikuta toma's face. It just made the movie dreamier than ever. also the female lead is so cute!
I know some of you maybe think that it’s a weird-disgusting movie, but hey? I know deep down you read this kind of genre too. Just give this movie a chance.
Again, it is just my opinion. I worship angsty fluff, that's why sensei is the best one in this list.

Omg i love saying stupid stuff about horror movies thank you :) so since you make hammer horror seem so fun I watched Dr terrors house of horrors the other and wow that was very much made in the 70's. What is it with 70's horror movies with like a 25 dollar budget getting ahold of monkeys somehow?? Its like here's our plastic death costume and just some guy covered in vines and then BAM we also found this chimp. I liked the handheld camerawork and when you could clearly see that the evil death vines were just attached to people in green sacks. In all seriousness it wasn't actually that bad I like goofy horror movies and Christopher Lee being fake snobby
LITERALLY i love that movie so much it’s just so much fun, and i thought the same thing about the chimp!! there’s another one— or perhaps the same one, i don’t know if hammer and amicus shared their chimps or whatever—in the revenge of frankenstein (1958). god knows where they got them from... i’m fairly sure there’s behind the scenes photos of peter cushing hanging out with the frankenstein chimp and like, riding a bike with it, which is all wonderfully bizarre. also YES i adore how absolutely low budget it is— they stretched the fiver they had to its absolute breaking point with the amputated hand i should imagine. and oh god, absolutely; any movie where christopher lee gets to be bitchy is a win in my book and he’s in his element here, especially since he’s doing it oblivious to peter cushing’s ominous, knowing smile

asdfacasd I misread this as “top 5 mcu SCENES” and spent a few days choosing the scenes instead of movies omg!
Anyway, movies are much easier!
The fist place, I think, belongs to Black Panther. Am I obsessed with its characters the way I’m obsessed with Loki, Yennefer, or Harley? Not really, they are not broken enough for that. But I enjoyed it greatly. It was so nice to watch a Marvel film where all characters felt alive, not only the main cast! Also Nakia is such an inspirational figure, I fell in love with her from the very first scene she was in, and can’t wait to see more of her!
The second and the third places are for both volumes of Guardians of the Galaxy. I couldn’t choose which one is higher. They have their flaws, but overall they are very funny and finally gave me the team-as-a-family trope I craved in the Avengers’ films. Also, Gamora&Nebula’s relationships? Give Me More!
The fourth place is definitely taken by the first Thor thanks to Loki, Jane&Darcy ‘s friendship, Loki, and, of course, Loki. It could’ve been higher, but the camerawork is sometimes so weird there, and a bit too much was deleted.
And the last place is taken by The Winter Soldier. What’s to say that hasn’t been said before? It’s not perfect, but it’s still an amazing movie, and I do not understand how the same team could fuck up that bad with the sequels.

10. Elina Born & Stig Rästa - “Goodbye to yesterday”

The first time we heard “Goodbye to yesterday”, we all knew Estonia had struck gold. I will elaborate later on, but I don’t think I even need to? "Goodbye to yesterday” just has it. It’s a stroke of brilliance, a gripping story, an instant hit. It is in many ways too good for Eurovision.
Therefore I could also immediately tell Eurovision wouldn’t do "Goodbye to yesterday” the justice it deserves and lo and behold it did. I still can’t wrap my head around why the jurors snubbed it? IS THIS BECAUSE OF THE LINNETS it’s because of the Linnets isnt it. Sure, Stigelina provided an experience eerily similar to the Linnets, but also... one much better than that of the Linnets lol? How is “G2Y is a CATS clone” even an argument against Stigelina. They are so great they put the Linnets to SHAME.
You see, “Calm after the storm” did have amazingly well-crafted dramatic tension, but it also felt a bit aloof, a bit pedantic, a bit ‘I am smarter than you’, as all current Dutch entries are (see: the Waylon’s krumping, Duncan’s ‘vintage’ piano). “Goodbye to yesterday” doesn’t have a waft of artistic pretence clinging to it. On the contrary, it is refreshingly unpretentious, sticking to a intuitive approach to storytelling that creates organic, credible drama, which makes for much more likable end product.
From the moment Elina enters the dramatic cues ping-pong back and forth between her and Stig, and they pelt each other with sharp quotes that sting due to their realism. The story is that one giant misunderstanding after a night of passion and it’s just... heart-breaking, honestly.
So heart-breaking in fact it moved Elina to tears.
I’m not sure what else one would want, honestly. “Goodbye to yesterday” is timeless, gracious and so, so real. To be a part of my top ten, you need to able to freeze time, to silence the audience with epic storytelling or with great musical scores. Stigelina may be the least gripping of those still in the ranking, and that should tell you how much quality we still have ahead of us.
Estonia are the best country in Eurovision. Period. They deliver EVERY year and never get the great results they deserve. They are criminally underappreciated by both the casuals and the jurors. It sincerely hope everyone comes to their senses. Estonia are wonderful and deserve nothing but love.

You know the power of silence.
A lot of people claim that “Sebi” was really boring and it just... triggers me? HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE THESE INDIE UNICORNS OF BOREDOM!!! "Sebi” is a pearl of introversion, so beautiful, so touching, so fucking RAW. The romantic tension between Zala and Gašper creates an intensity vortex that renders me silent and humbled every time. It is real, so so so real.
The musical score is an oasis of tranquility which transports me to a place of no worries, no doubts, only dreams of love and happiness, The lyrics are graceful and moving. It’s the ultimate immersive experience.
In other words, ZalaGasper delivered exactly what I wanted (and expected they would) pre-show, where I ranked them first with zero regrets. 🤭
So what has changed between then and now?
Well, not much in terms of live performance.🤔 The live in Tel Aviv was an improvement over the EMA one, on all accounts (vocals, staging, camerawork, interaction, lights, sound quality), but my opinion of “Sebi” has remained stagnant for the past few months. The only reason they’re now my #2 for 2019 is because NOTHING’S HOLDING KATE DOWN, which is for another update.
However, what has changed is that I now have more insight on what Zala and Gašper are like ~as people~ and both have have proven that they’re kick-ass humans in their own individual right. 😍 🤗
Zala I think we can all agree is a highly relatable MOOD. Her off-stage muteness only adds to her mystique as she conveys so much meaning with merely her face and b-lang.
GODper otoh, is the opposite, a hilariously blunt, socially-malajusted but well-meaning dork, who provided to two laugh-out-loud interview moments that I will now share:
~Silencing Wiwi at the red carpet~
Gašper: “You look tired! 🙂 You should sleep more.”
Wiwi: “what is your #1 tip to sleep better?”
Gašper: “To have sex 😁”
Zala: “...”
Wiwi: “...oh... yeah... it’ll try that :breaks off interview:”

DEITY <3 He is right of course, it was boring AND stupid question (exhibit a: literally every other qualifier answered that exact same question with a variation of “dunno / don’t care”)
Of course this makes it seem as though ZalaGasper consider themselves ~above~ Eurovision, but they’re more like AWS than Salvador, tbh. They entered EMA to showcase their music and won it by accident. They never expected to do Eurovision, nor did they ever expect to qualify (omg epic interview moment #3: Gašper admitting to someone (Deban?) that he didn’t expect to qualify and therefore had to cancel all the sight-seeing trips he and Zala had booked during the finale week. <3333445567899). Yet, they were there, they had fun, they bonded with their fellow cast (Let me just mention the everpresent but never remarked on ZalaGasper/Serhat/Katerine bitch coven. Like the three would often gossip in the background as other people were getting interviewed lol <3) but always remained grounded and never put themselves ~above~ the contest. They were two delightfully down-to-earth people thrusted into a crazy camp carnival and all of this makes them very precious to me.

the last time gabe sees jack is when he walks out the door and turns around to see jack hesitate for just a second, a death drip on the door handle that he could swear is denting it. then a muttered "don't text me" before the door closes in his face.

Gabe and Jack falling back onto the mattress, all out of breath after their first roud on their honeymoon, and Gabe letting out this faint laugh and it gets Jack laughing a bit. He asks what's funny, and Gabe gestures vaguely, and is like: 'this. i never expected any of this.' And even as Jack is going quiet next to him, Gabe rolls over and cups his cheek and smiles reassuringly. 'didn't expect doesn't mean regrets. i'm glad it happened, and if i had a million lifetimes, i'd marry you again in all of them.'
Jack smiles for him, just a little thing, but he's better these days at trusting Gabe over things like that. He still blushes every time, though, which Gabe still finds enchanting. Jack wraps an arm around him, pulling Gabe on top of him.
'Show me how glad you are.'
Gabe is more than happy to do so.
