“I’d rather not, but thank you for asking.”

Jaehyun frowned, folding his arms over his chest. “I’m trying to be romantic here.”

You rolled your eyes, fighting the growing smile threatening to show. “And I’m finding you annoying. You’re missing your mark here.”

“Well! Younghoon said it would work.” He muttered crossly.

You let out a bark of laughter. “And you listened to him? C’mon, you’re better than this! You know Younghoon will say anything as long as someone is still listening to him. He’s crazy.”

“And I’m not?”

“No, you’re just, how should I say, unique.”

Jaehyun scowled. “That’s just mean.”

You scoffed. “What do you want me to say? Look, I know you’ve heard all those stories about princesses wanting to be saved from their ivory towers, but I’m happy where I’m at. I have a lot of plans for the future of the kingdom. I’ve trained my whole life for this and I’m ready to prove myself to my people.”

“What about, like, arranged marriages and all that?”

Shrugging, you answered, “I mean as long as they don’t get in my way, then we should be fine.”

“You just really don’t want me to be romantic, huh?” He sighed. “You know, it took me a long time to come to terms with my feelings for you and tell you how I feel. If you didn’t feel the same, you could just tell me instead of stringing me on like this.”

With a frown, you said, “First off, I’m not stringing you along. I just find your attempts to woo me lacking. You go for the stereotypical stuff. It’s like you’re not even trying. And secondly, who says I didn’t like you like that? I know I have never said those words to you. So maybe if you stopped sulking and were actually direct with me, I would actually tell you that I want you to court me!”

“I-what?” He paused and you could practically hear the wheels turning in his brain from your balcony. “You actually like me back?”

“YES YOU STUPID BOY!” You couldn’t help but let out an exasperated laugh. “You’re a bit thick sometimes, but I still like you an awful lot.”

“Ah, right.” He chuckled, his cheeks a flame. “So does this mean we’re officially courting?”

“Well, you have to bring up your courtship proposal to my father, but it’s the middle of the night. So do it in the morning. I’m sure he’ll be thrilled.” You explained, sending him a sincere smile. “And I will gladly accept it as well.”

“Good.” Jaehyun blew you a kiss. “I shall see you in the morning, Princess.”

“Of course, in the morning. Good night, my lord.”

And here he is, sitting in front of you with his hand playing with your fingers sadness on his eyes. Trying his best to telling you anything inside his mind, but you seems not sure. Damn it, a tears falling from his eyes when you mention how he act before he know you and that word 'bad boy' coming from your mouth seems a little bit harsh even though he like that side of him before.

You observing him, he look so soft and you don't know he would be like this. "I will kill you if you break my heart." He still looking down while playing with your finger, nodding his head slowly. "Can't we staying at home in first date, we can bake." Hyunjae realized what you saying about, looking up while slowly showing you an adorable smile. He attack you with a hug, "absolutely, we can do whatever you want as long as you are mine."

Dancing in the Rain ~ *Lee Sangyeon*

Summary: Raining is falling from the sky. You know what that means; it's time to go outside.

"It's raining." You whisper mainly to yourself.

However, it's no surprise when Sangyeon's arms around you tighten a little. "It is."

"It's very beautiful."

"Sure, but you're more beautiful."

You giggle as he peppers your neck with kisses. "We should go outside."

He pauses his ministrations against your neck. "You want to go outside? In the rain? We'll catch a cold!"

"But we can dance in the rain." You shrug. "It's just a suggestion. We don't have to if you don't want to."

Sangyeon shakes his head, his hair tickling your chin. "No, let's go outside and dance in the rain. Although, be warned, I'm making us soup and tea when we're done."

"Is that a promise?"

"On my life. I don't want either of us getting sick." He pulls away just far enough that he's still holding your hand.

You shake your head. "We won't get sick. Not if we're careful."

"That means raincoats, boots, and umbrellas." He states, heading to the front closet where that stuff is kept. You follow along behind him and allow him to put your raincoat on you. He presses a soft kiss to your nose as he zips it up. You help him into his coat and kiss his lips when you're done. Once your boots are on, he hands you your umbrella.

"Ready?"

You nod and open the front door. It's raining hard, but it's not too cold out. It's a perfect spring rain that waters down the world like a watercolor painting. It's absolutely beautiful and you can't wait to spend this moment with the man you love.

Taking his hand in yours, you open your umbrella and step into the rain. A smile instantly overtakes you. The sound of the rain hitting the umbrella and the smell of wet grass overwhelms you. It feels like you're in a movie.

Sangyeon joins you with a smile. "You're right, it is beautiful out here."

"It's perfect." You reply before letting your umbrella drop, allowing your hair to get wet.

"Hey!" He shouts and puts his umbrella over your head so you're now sharing it with him. "I told you I don't want you to get sick!"

"It's just water! It's like taking a shower." You tease him.

His mouth opens and closes a couple of times before he shakes his head. "I don't even know how to respond to that."

"C'mon! We said we were going to dance in the rain!" You give a slight whine. "And it's hard to do that with umbrellas!"

"No it's not! Watch!" Sangyeon attempts to direct you through a waltz, which makes you laugh. It's clumsy and awkward, but you're having too much fun to care. What matters is he's making an effort and seeing his smile makes yours grow.

"Let me try, let me try!" You say between laughs.

"Aren't I supposed to lead?"

"Not when you're bad at it. My turn to lead!" You shoot back before discarding his umbrella. He whines about his hair getting wet but you don't care. Instead you really dance with him, spinning him around and around in the ever increasing rain.

Before too long, you both are soaked to the bone. But you're both too happy to care. Your cheeks hurt from smiling and your stomach aches from laughing so much. But you're happy and that's all that matters.

Sangyeon wraps you in his arms and whispers in your ear, "I love you."

"I love you too."

He pulls away and hooks his finger under your chin, pulling you closer for a kiss. However, before your lips can touch, a clap of thunder startles you apart.

"Okay, inside now." He exclaims before he quickly grabs your discarded umbrellas and tugs you inside. You shake off your umbrellas and hang up your coats to dry. You're still smiling as you do so.

"That was fun. We should do it again more often." You sigh.

He chuckles and shakes his wet hair. "Maybe. We'll see. Now go change into warm clothes while I get the soup and tea started."

"Don't forget to do the same." You reply before kissing his cheek. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome, love. Perhaps someday we will dance in the rain again."
