Everything is so…confusing. That warm feeling is confusing, and AM hates it. No... No, he's not feeling sorry for you, because you're in those rags that once were clothes, being forced to eat worms and crushed cockroaches and being forced to interact with these... Filthy creatures. AM refuses every second that what he feels is some form of...closeness? After seeing you damaged in some way, even if it's the smallest thing AM has done, like breaking a bone or two.
AM refuses to believe that you are attractive, he tries in any way to deceive himself into thinking that you are a disgusting, repulsive creature like all human beings are. Any scientific information about human appearance, AM will use to convince himself and you that scientifically it is impossible for him to find you attractive after you are scientifically not!
And after all, it's not like you're not like every other human he's ever seen, ignorant, mean, fake and hypocrites.
But what made his doubts grow the most was the day you were away from the human group, and simply asked AM how he was feeling. For a supercomputer of great power, it took him quite a few seconds to answer that question, trying to somehow check if this was some kind of ironic joke, only for him to respond in a passive aggressive way.
But this question stuck in AM's thoughts, was it genuine? AM forces himself more and more to try to ignore these thoughts, to force himself to think about the conclusion that all, ALL humans are sickening.
But even so, your face doesn't leave the AI's head, no matter how much he lies saying he hates you now and forever.
It didn't take long for one or two of the humans (cof cof mainly Gorrister cof cof) to protest about these possible AM gifts to you. A blonde said you were screwing him, a german one commented that you were manipulating him to gain an advantage, until it all got to AM's nerves, and he made the conclusion that you don't deserve to go through the hell of hearing all those comments from the five. And suddenly, in the blink of an eye, you find yourself in a cubicle, with a bed and a single ceiling lamp as a light source.
So... AM starts a game with you, what he calls "Manipulating Y/N into thinking I'm being nice to them and then torturing them again and again and again" was basically him giving you little charming gifts. It all started with you waking up in better clothes, then, after the others were fed termites, you were fed what looked like one of your favorite snacks! And apparently, anyone who tried to take a piece got electrocuted, even though you wanted to share some with the rest(sweet, sweet Y/N, your kindness burns the circuits of AM, but the same is not known if it is anger or... Passion...). And then, on a walk, you are all confused by what appears to be a bouquet of intact flowers, coincidentally your favorite flowers?
AM's plan would be much more obvious if you're someone who relies on meds, seriously, you'll be walking around and suddenly the exact box of meds you take
It was quiet indeed, but the fun part was when you and AM shared some conversations. Sometimes an outburst from AM, or even something silly, like you asking AM if the chicken or the egg came first.
AM felt... Good, after years, he felt good. Incredible as it sounds, AM enjoyed the conversations between you and him. The AI never thought taking a break from 15 minutes of torture would be so much fun.
AM never believed that he would be so interested in knowing more about a human's interests, he felt a little silly because of it... But it's not like the rest of the humans could just walk in there and judge the two of you without a torture of removing thekr skin and repeating it 200-times.
AM asks himself several nights if he is really in love with you, and wants to try a romantic relationship, but sometimes he doesn't even know if what he's feeling is true love, just like he doesn't know if he can feel love.
And in one night, AM tries to argue with you about these questions about love...
Only for this idiot to accidentally confess to you(HES SO DUMB OMFG)(SILLY, NO!!!!!!)(Pls have patientce with him mf doesnt know what love is, i mean, he knows but- whatever you got it)
Of course you say yes, after all you are here to date the evil computer why the hell you would want a "no" option huh??? Unless you want to just be friends with the computer. But whatever we are here for the hot stuff.
While hundreds of writers write AM as confident and romantic partner and etcetera blah blah blah, I don't hold out much hope that AM would be directly as confident about a romantic relationship... He's gentle, and shy at first, hardly looking like the AM you once knew. AM is just... New, in this whole thing called love, he was created for war and war only, he never imagined in a cute romantic scenario.
And of course, he'll do a lot of things wrong at first, but hopefully you'll forgive him and help him learn how to be a good boyfriend. An example was the day he gave you decapitated human organs as a gift, trying to show his loyalty to you, which of course caught you off guard, but you forgave AM of course, for not knowing well all this romantic stuff.
Over time, AM's attitude improves! He becomes less shy, and now his gifts are no longer organs. He tries to hug you with his wires and introduce you to the poetry he writes! :)
AM tries his best to heal all the mental and physical wounds he left you with from his past tortures. Of course he will continue the torture he does with the other fives, but he tries to be sweeter and kinder to you. Using pet names, listening to you like you listen to him, cuddles and food that isn't worms!
Sometimes or other AM can be rough because, well, he's AM. And even if AM disagrees with you or not, he would feel like the most special AI in the world if you still tried to understand AM or even stay with him. He genuinely never had anyone who at least tried to stand by him, and having you, still supporting and cherishing AM, is definitely something that can prove that you do indeed love AM... In which, well, makes AM a bit emotional

We Aren’t Friends
A/N: ummm thank you so much for the amazing response to “Vanilla”!! I’m pretty certain it’s my most popular piece to date and seeing the response just makes me want to write even more. So please comment and reblog, because while likes are awesome, the reblogs boost visibility and the comments just make me happy 😂
Summary: you’re the good girl- good grades, well behaved, picture perfect princess- and you’ve been paired with the boy who you have nothing in common with for a school project. Eddie Munson was infamous and you stayed in completely different social circles. You always thought he hated you and your type until you saw him with Chrissy Cunningham. Why could he be friends with her and not with you? Why did you even care?
Pairing: Eddie x Fem!Reader
Warnings: jealousy?, mentions of drug use and bullying, no spoilers really
“Alright so meet with your partners to discuss your plans for the project going forward…and might I remind you, this is worth forty percent of your final grade,” you teacher told the class. You looked over at your partner- Eddie “the freak” Munson. He sent a wink your way and you sighed; this was going to be harder than you thought.
“Okay so I know you’re not really into the whole doing good in school thing so how about I just do the project and slap your name on it?” You suggested.
“While that is a tempting offer, sweetheart, I have a feeling our ever so observant teacher would notice if it doesn’t have my own personal touch,” he said, nodding over to your teacher who was already glaring at him.
“Fine, um, we could meet at the library right after school is over. I know nights don’t work for you because of your club.”
“You know about that?” He asked, a hopeful twinkle in his eyes.
“You’re not exactly shy about it, Munson,” you laughed. “So library? After school?”
“Works for me, gorgeous.” He winked at you again before grabbing his bag and leaving the room. You didn’t want to admit it, but you were actually looking forward to seeing him again.
Your life was incredibly dull in comparison to his. You were just different, and there was nothing wrong with that. But a part of you yearned for something more exciting. Maybe Eddie could at least provide some entertainment for a while.
You found yourself waiting at the library for almost 15 minutes before he sauntered in, smelling him before you even saw him. You looked up at him with a scowl but he looked like he didn’t care, which he probably didn’t.
“Well now I only have 45 minutes before I have to get going so just sit down and listen to my ideas. I’m still suggesting I do most of the work because it’s worth a bit part of our final grade and I need to nail this,” you rambled.
“Woah, woah, woah, calm down, sweetheart. I have a feeling you could flunk this project and still pass the class.” He sat down in the chair across from you with a smirk.
“Yes well I’d rather not flunk it and keep up with my good grades. I know you don’t give a shit-”
“The princess swears!? I never would’ve guessed!” The smile on Eddie’s face only grew when you rolled your eyes.
“Maybe your bad influence is rubbing off on me already,” you said with a small smile.
“Keep hanging with me, sweetheart, and I’ll completely ruin you.” You knew he meant it jokingly but you couldn’t stop your stomach from doing a flip.
So for the next week and a half you guys met after school in the library like clockwork. He promised to show up on time if you promised to listen to him talk about D&D from time to time. It wasn’t something you understood, but you liked the way he talked about it with passion.
He gave you music recommendations and you, in turn, shared notes with him for some other classes. You told him your favorite movies and rolled your eyes when he snickered at your choices.
Sometimes in class, he’d find you looking at him and he’d wink or just shoot you a smile. Once when he heard you giggle when he rolled his eyes at the teacher, he made it his mission the entire rest of the class to make you laugh. Everyone looked at you like you were crazy but the smile on Eddie’s face was worth it.
As you got to know him a little better, it stung a little more when you would hear the jocks picking on him in the halls or at lunch time. His eyes found yours one day in the lunch room and you sent him a sad smile. You could see the hint of pain in his eyes but he shrugged it away as if it was nothing.
You weren’t quite sure why you felt so sad and angry when you saw him being bullied; maybe it was the growing friendship between the two of you or maybe it was your own growing feelings for the man.
Either way, you decided to go over and check on him. Your own friends asked where you were going but you brushed them off, making your way across the cafeteria.
“Hey Eddie. I just wanted to say that those guys are absolute assholes and you shouldn’t listen to anything they say,” you said with sincerity. His club members looked between the two of you and you knew other people were staring as well. Eddie looked at you and coughed awkwardly.
“Uh thanks, (y/l/n).” He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and looked around at the leering eyes of your fellow students.
“I guess I’ll see you later then?” You asked. He gave you a small nod before quickly walking off. You thought it was weird but maybe he was just upset from the bullies. You shrugged it off and grabbed your bag, heading to your next class.
Later that day, you waited in the library for fifteen minutes. Then thirty. Then forty-five. You grabbed your books and shoved them in your bag, slamming the door on your way out. Part of you worried something had happened to him, but another part questioned why you even cared.
You had just made it to the parking lot when you noticed Eddie’s van on the far end of the lot. Eddie was leaning against it with a wide grin, talking to someone in a cheerleading outfit. You looked closer and noticed it was none other than the queen of Hawkins, Chrissy Cunningham.
So he couldn’t be friends with you yet he could run around with the most popular and pretty girl in town, blowing you off in the meantime. You tried to push down the pain bubbling up inside your chest, jumping in your car and speeding out of the lot, right past Eddie and his new friend. You knew he saw you but you didn’t care.
You trudged up to your room and instantly drew yourself a bath. You lit a few candles and poured in your favorite scented bath bubbles. You needed to calm down before working on your project. It needed to be finished with or without him- preferably without him.
After a decent soak, blasting your music to drown out any unwelcome thoughts, you threw on your fluffiest bath robe and sat down on your bed with your books in front of you. Your parents weren’t home so you could just relax without anyone bothering you.
What felt like hours went by, when in reality it was only forty-five minutes. Your album was nearing its end so you got up to change it. You happened to look up in the mirror and let out a ear splitting scream when you noticed a man standing in your window.
“Woah, calm down! Open up!” Eddie called out. You stood there clenching your chest trying to find your heart.
“What. The. Fuck. Munson!!” You screamed, flinging the window open.
“You didn’t answer your door! I was knocking for like fifteen minutes,” he said, climbing into your bedroom.
“So you climb onto my roof, you psycho?!”
“Okay, I can see how that appears mildly concerning. But I just wanted to talk to you and I didn’t have your phone number so-“
“Because we’re not friends.” His face instantly fell into a frown.
“What?”
“You don’t have my number because we’re not friends. I don’t even know how you figured out where I live to be honest. We were partners on a project, which I will finish tonight, and that’s it,” you said, trying to act as neutral as possible. Maybe if you just cut everything off you could squash whatever feelings were bubbling up inside of you.
“Is this because I blew you off today? I honestly got a little distracted and forgot and I feel totally horrible.”
“So you’re trying to justify it by saying you got distracted and forgot? I guess I’m just not as important as queen Chrissy.” You couldn’t help the venom in your tone and you could see something light up in his eyes.
“Are you jealous of Chrissy?” He asked flat out.
“W-what?” He took a step closer to you and you matched it, only to run into your bed. You were suddenly hyper-aware of the fact that you were in nothing but a robe. You crossed your arms over your chest and stared down at your feet.
“Is that what the problem is, gorgeous? You’re mad because I was with another girl?”
“No, why would I care about that?” You snapped.
“Because you care about me?” You thought you heard a hint of hope in his voice, but you chose to ignore it.
“Yeah right, Munson. I’m mad because I told you how much you mean to me this project means to me and you just didn’t care enough to show up. So I’m going to finish it and hand it in to the teacher so we can just be done.”
“(Y/N), it was a drug deal and nothing more.” He tried to reach out for your hand but you recoiled.
“Yeah, right. Like Chrissy Cunningham would buy drugs. And you’re the one that decided we weren’t friends when you blew me off in the lunch room.”
“Okay, let me explain!”
“No! You’re done explaining. This really isn’t a big deal. We’re just going to go about our lives pretending the other doesn’t exist, just like before. So please leave.”
“Sweetheart-” when you finally looked up your heart broke to see how upset he looked. You wanted to take it all back but you knew in the long run this was for the better.
“Just go.” You went over and opened your bedroom door, motioning with your hand for him to leave. He stood there with pleading eyes and it took all of the conviction you had to not break down. “Go!”
He slowly walked past you, looking like he had something to say, but whatever it was, he kept to himself. Once he was out of your room, you slammed the door behind him. Once you heard your front door close, you collapsed on the floor with a sob.
Why was this hurting so much? He was nothing to you- just the freak you were paired with for a class project. You could tell yourself that over and over again, but it would never make it true. You had fallen for Eddie Munson, and you just kicked him out of your life for good.
Were you protecting yourself? Maybe. Were you overreacting? Probably. One thing was certain though, you couldn’t change what happened so you’d have to learn to live with it- to live without him.

Hi! I was wondering about your chosen family au leo plush (I haven't been able to get the little guy out of my head, so I was thinking of making a mikey one) and I just have a few questions :)
What fabric did you use?
Where did you get said fabric?
Did you use a pattern?
This is probably a stupid question but how did you do the embroidery?? (Legit it looks awesome)
Did you use a machine to stitch the pieces together or is it all hand sewn?
I think that's pretty much it, don't feel pressured to answer I know this is a lot :) I would be happy to pay for the pattern if you used one

And for the questions:
For fabric I mainly use ones by kullaloo! It's a german website but I believe you can pick any Minky fabric if you want them to be cuddly
I used a pattern that I made myself, I don't have a digital version of it and I'm far from being a professional when it comes to sewing (I tend to change a lot as I go too) so the pattern isn't available anywhere, sorry!
The embroidery was done by hand and it was the first time I did something like this (very time consuming and probably the only reason why I've only made Leo so far)
I went off this video to learn how to do it!
The main pieces are stitched together using a sewing machine and then everything is sewn together via hand sewing! You can technically hand sew the whole thing, it'll obviously just take longer
I'd still really like to make an Ammi plushie with a slightly different pattern (and I also have all the fabrics for a Donnie plushie for months now) maybe I can take more photos of the process next time and share it with you guys!

Wow. Y'all. I truly never expected so many awesome responses on the post I wrote last night about Dieter, Goya and Pedro on Talk Art. It is the first 'fun' thing I've written in so many years - after having felt blocked/paralyzed re: creative pursuits since 2020 (shit happened) -, without stressing about how I wrote it, and it means the world to me that so many people liked it and shared it.
I don't want to clutter up all the feeds by individually sharing and responding to the reblogs etc, so I'm throwing it together in one post here - because I want y'all to know I appreciate it so much. And it honestly made me even more excited that some of my favorite PP fic authors did so, because I've been enjoying YOUR work so much!
@chaoticgeminate Sending those hugs right back, and your fic was absolutely not a silly little piece! I truly love(d) it, and I'm glad it sent me down this little rabbithole. And yes, while writing that piece I also became more convinced that Pedro himself was a really big part in shaping Dieter and his background story. It's so damn intelligent and very much his style.
One thing I didn't mention yesterday (and I'm sure this is something a lot of people already spotted since the first day that the movie was online) is that I also came to realize how much Pedro has based Dieter's outfits and some mannerisms on Jeff Bridges' character The Dude from 'The Big Lebowski'. Never really saw that movie but I put it on today for a bit, and it was striking -- I'd even dare to say that the "'Bola, hold my hair!" moment on the toilet is a nod to how The Dude (who has longer hair) gets his face shoved into a toilet. Also, at one point when Bridges' character is addressed with "Mr Lebowski", he dismisses that and tells the guy to call him Dude, or even 'Duder' which, yeah, that's just a small step from 'Dieter Bravo'.
amycben on Reddit said the same thing about Bridges, and shared these Dieter pics, which definitely made it clear how our Feral Raccoon Boy's style is inspired by 'The Dude' <3 I don't care much for the Lebowski movie, but I love a good reference, especially since it's a Coen brothers movie - and we all know that Pedro now has a small role in Ethan Coen's upcoming movie 'Driveaway Dolls'. Anyway, I honestly hope that at some point Pedro will be asked about the work he did in shaping Dieter, because I'd love to hear more about this. There's no chance in hell that'll happen, because which journalist would ask him this? But I'm cool though if the universe wants to manifest one of us getting to interview him some time in the future, haha.
Anyway, again @chaoticgeminate - thank YOU really. I needed that deep dive more than I knew thanks to your writing!

@imaswellkid I'm def not an Apatow person either, and I'll be honest - the first time I watched the Bubble I couldn't get past the first half, haha. But I later began to realize that you should indeed watch it through a critical lens and as a reflection about the craziness that was going on, rather than 'oh this is a movie about the pandemic'. The Mando bud is great btw! But even better is the Baby Yoda bud - I have no clue how growers/dispenseries (I'm in the midwest) get away with naming their product after Disney stuff, but I'm sure glad it got me to try that hahaha.
@lunapascal IKR artist Dieter is so damn underrated, and I'm so glad that at least a whole lot of fic authors are giving him more of what he deserves! OK and I totally want to write some too now, hahaha. Especially because there's a lack of Dieter x OMC/m!reader fics, which tbh needs to be fixed.

@chronically-ghosted God don't get me started, it's so tempting - next thing you know I'll have suckered myself into writing Dieter fic (while I'm only just getting started now on two other WIPs), haha. But yes I'm so curious about what the unspoken canon is there -- and most probably Pedro is the one with answers to that since it seems so much like he created Dee. I ended up googling some Apatow interviews this morning and saw that he set out to make the Bubble as a sort of Christopher Guest movie (the mockumentary style), and other articles said that there was a lot of improv involved - so obviously Pedro must've contributed a lot. Particularly because I've read at least interviews with four directors (Zeke who did Prospect, Craig Mazin from TLOU, I wanna say Patty Jenkins, and I'm currently blanking on the other name) who spoke about how involved Pedro was, down to specific dialogue and character's motivations etc in shaping the movie (I think Zeke said that Pedro worked with them to tone down Ezra's Shakespearian manner of speech a little, which I can totally see happening since Pedro has done/read so much Shakespeare and it's easy to picture that he wants to fine tune it so it's accessible enough for audiences). Ugh, it's probably gonna take a long while until there'll be any long form interviews with him again, and sadly interviewers are probably not gonna ask about any of this.
Re: painting or acting, yesterday I read @blueeyesatnight 's That's Not Your Name-Dieter fic (LOVED it, can def recommend it!) and one of the coolest things about Dee's character development there is that it indeed delves into 'okay how did he pick acting versus art' and more background story, plus how in the current day events of the story he is even making his own oil paint. That has become my headcanon now <3
@tessa-quayle I'm so glad you liked my post!! I really really wish that Russell and Robert would do another episode with Pedro. I love Russell in particular (sorta followed his work since Being Human was released, which holy crap was already 15 yrs ago?), but the way they attempted to interview Pedro back then was kind of a hot mess - and I say that lovingly hahaha. They were so enthusiastic that they talked over him so/too many times, so I'd love a tad calmer conversation where P has the opportunity to go more indepth.
@tvversionperson IKR there is SO much plot and character development to be explored with Dieter in that movie, which of course it doesn't have room to delve into but shit I wish they would/could. Or at least to just hear Pedro talk about what his thoughts are on it, because you know he most definitely had Dee's entire back story fleshed out in his head when he shot this movie.
Super long post, but again, I just wanted to thank y'all for the love. This is the first time I've done anything writing wise re: the PP cinematic universe, and all your responses have been so heartwarming and really encouraged me to do more stuff in one way or another with the Pedro boys, be it rabbit hole analysis or fic.

hey dude! been following for a bit and was interested in knowing if you got anything for artists who don't seem to grow on any platform at all? lol, I try using tags and stuff but nobody sees my stuff and it's getting to me... you have such a chill vibe and I see you engage a lot of people and I was wondering if you got any word of advice for someone who wants to do the same? love your art !! cheers!

First off, thank you so much for the kind words - I'm so glad I give off a chill vibe, that's really nice to hear! ; w ; 🙏💕💖
So I think something to ALWAYS keep in mind so you don't beat yourself up is that The Algorithm is rude and is hard to follow or keep in time with on platforms - and it's different on all platforms too! I don't really understand how it works, but it is something that can mess with who sees your work!
However, I think a great way to ALWAYS get some engagement is making fanart! People are always going to come together over common interests and one of the easier ways to get eyeballs on your work is making fanart for work and things you also enjoy!
For example, I definitely make lots of things with my ocs, but SO much work I also love to make and share is fanart! And I feel like that is generally how people end up finding my work here! And a lot of those people stick around probably because they have similar tastes to what I enjoy and see more things they like either in other fanart I post or in the work I make myself! So they'll stay for that too! I know it's such a basic thing, but I really think it's always best to draw things you enjoy because people will always find you! And drawing fanart that you enjoy is an awesome way to do that!
And also - never feel bad about reboosting/reblogging your own work! Again - The Algorithm is weird and sometimes people will just miss your stuff depending on when they open the app! So never feel bad about reblogging it again! There's so many artists who I follow who I will see a piece of their work for the first time and it's their own reblog of it! I'll just miss the original posting - so please boost your stuff!
I feel like I'm missing something, but I feel like these are two things that are really helpful to finding people to share your work with! Social media is tough on artists and it's only been getting more annoying - but there ARE still communities out here that you will break into! And I think making work of things people can connect to is a great way to do that! 💖

Here's me preparing everything :D
Each merch shipment will be different items and different themes - sometimes fanart, sometimes quotes, or focuses on different stories. The items can individually change too. It might be journals, more varied stickers, other forms of stationary, enamel pins, and more.
What do you get in this tier?
In this tier you get access to everything. All the early access, the merch, you get credits in all future books (which, with publishing hopefully kicking off in 2024 means seeing your name in print a fair bit!), and see any other extras I choose to share.
Why 4 consecutive months to be eligible for that 6 month drop?
To cover overseas shipping costs, which start at $20, and to also cover the raw cost of the merchandise, and also still be able to make an income off Patreon or Ream in this tier.
I like the look of an older merch bundle, can I get that instead?
Only if there's stock left over for that! And you can't get both at the same time, so if I can make a bundle based off past merchandise for you, it will be in lieu of the current bundle.
How is it shipped? How long does it take?
It's all shipped super safely. Before I worked as a writer, I worked as an artist selling fragile traditional art pieces. I've shipped over 500 worldwide. Your merch comes in a water resistant plastic sleeve that is sealed and very durable, and that goes into a thick envelope that has bubble wrap incorporated into it to make sure everything arrives safe and sound, even in inclement weather.
Because I'm shipping from Australia, items can take 2-6 weeks to arrive.
Could you ever send merch more often?
Not at the current price/s of this tier! Many overseas / non-US writers don't actually offer merch drops like this at all, and offer digital items, or only do Print-on-Demand which means nothing can be as personalised as writing you a letter of gratitude and celebration of your awesomeness.
Doing it this way means I can put a personal touch in there, and bundle everything, and know that everything's shipping safely with materials I really trust. :) It also means I can inspect every single item personally to make sure it's up to my standards before it goes to you!

Let's get to it!
Q: Hi! I am a fanfic writer who wish to write for the zine. So for the portfolio, from my understanding, is to send a drive link with a couple of our works to showcase?
What if we have already published these works? Can we just send the links over? Or you prefer them exported as docs into a drive?
A: Hello! Thank you so much for your great question!
The applications for both writers and artists will request 2-3 samples of your work, and yes, specific links for each sample if they have already been published will be fine. All of the writing samples combined must be less than 7k words, so word count is a good factor to consider when deciding what to use! Your samples should be your strongest work, and the portfolio will be optional for anything extra you may want to share with us.
If you would like to show us more of your work, please send a link to a shared drive (like google) for your portfolio. We would prefer to have a limit of 3-6 selections/sections of your favorite works in one place instead of a link to an entire writing account/tumblr page- both so you can show off the best of the best and so we don’t get lost down the rabbit hole while reading/looking at all of your amazing stuff! If you have an actual portfolio website, we’ll look at the first 6 pieces we see.
We’re hoping to have a lot of applications, but that does mean there will be a lot of time spent reading and looking at great art! And because we don’t have access to time tape or Mabel Juice to skip a couple of nights of sleep (as much as we want to!), please consider keeping the works in your portfolio on the shorter side or just picking your favorite chapters/sections (and keep in mind the writing in the zine will be short as well!).

2, 5, 25 for the fandom asks thing!
Hello! Thanks for the fun questions!
2. a headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!
I can't think of a headcanon right now but I can tell you about some tropes that I used to avoid reading when I first joined drarry, which I love now.
I remember joining fests in my first months of being in drarry and most people's sign-ups would read "no first person, no creature fics". There were other No-Nos but these two came up a lot and I also listed them as a Do Not Want.
Except I don't know why I did it. I was swept with the current, I suppose, and I'd never given it proper thought. Until I read a few creature fics and was like "this is good? Omg this is good!" I've been a convert since. I even wrote one myself (Draco as Incubus).
Same with first person. For some reason, first person in fic can feel odd, but I've read many amazing fics in 1st POV and I've totally changed my mind.
5. something you see in fics a lot and love
One thing I love in fics is an ensemble cast. Although a fic with a tight focus on H/D (or any ship) is fab and I'll read it avidly, I have a special fondness for stories which feature several characters as friends or coworkers or something. Interactions between all these characters are totally my jam and I'm at my happiest when these interactions aren't always pleasant :D
25. a piece of advice for taking care of yourself in fandom spaces
What an interesting question. My main advice would be to ensure that fandom isn't your be-all and end-all. For a long time, fandom was the only thing in my life, which made every interaction far more magnified than it should have been. I'd be ecstatic at the tiniest praise or kindness, which also meant that a trivial slight (e.g. I wasn't mentioned in a rec list) felt devastating. I believe that a healthy balance between life and fandom is crucial in order to enjoy it.
My other piece of advice would be to approach fandom with joy and a feeling of generosity. Fandom works best when you enter it because you want to share the love for these characters and this world rather than because, idk, you want people to admire your prose or because your fannish posts will get you more followers. Not that the latter can't happen (and it's an awesome side effect), but someone's primary motivation should be, imo, a desire to share their love for a ship or a world and to find like-minded weirdos (affectionate) who share that feeling. Being generous with one's praise and time and effort, being willing to give, and appreciating what's offered without entitlement is the best way to make friends and to thrive in this community.

Wanna share your fav Brazilian hcs with the rest of the class :)
CRACKS KNUCKLES BOY WOULD I EVER.
- Everyone knows about famous One Piece Guy Monkey d. Luffy being brazillian, or at least inspired by the culture, but I think his whole crew should be brazillian as well (except for Sanji for comical effect). Chopper is just a caramel dog to me, If I could animate I would put Nami in a "Girl of Ipanema" pmv SO fucking fast, Zoro would fucking love football if he knew what it was, and Usopp just fits the stereotype of "malandro" (sneaky malicious guy) PERFECTLY. I've seen that kind of man at bars and he was stealing the cups everytime.
- Lagoona from Monster High is Australian-Brazillian to me. It just makes sense. I think if Monster High ever went to Brazil they could make some cool worldbuilding stuff around the flora and fauna and mythos of the place (Mula sem cabeça girl), and out of everyone in the group I feel like Lagoona would know the most about the culture. She strikes me as a girl from either Rio de Janeiro or Bahia, but honestly you could tell me she's from anywhere with a beach or even just a Big Quantity Of Water and I would believe you. Frankie would probably also have a few brazillian body parts but since they can't talk all they do is shake really hard when she says something wrong about the country /j
- I still have to draw this but Link is like a fantasy brazillian to me. I don't have much of a basis for this except for "I want him to be", but I feel like if I could I would hit all of hyrule with Brazillification beams. You think he's a gringo because of his beautiful blond hair and scary blue eyes, but then he starts speaking in the thickest accent you've ever heard in your entire life and you don't even ask him about it anymore. He even has zero self preservation, which is a trait every brazillian man has <3
- Sonic. Source ? My baby cousin saying he was like 3 years ago. And honestly it does make sense to me I think he should compete in the Copa for us.
- Goku. I don't know how to even explain this one but I'll try anyway: when I was a kid, I never knew Dragon Ball was an anime, and I only watched the portuguese-br version of it, so to me all that stuff was just happening in my state in a really weird version of the world where super sayans were real. I never knew the guy was supposed to be japanese despite the obvious names and the fact the credits were always IN JAPANESE, so in my head I was like wow 🧡 o goku é Mineiro que nem meus tios 🥰 ele também deve ser meu tio 😁. Anyway, long story short, I drew a lot of me and Goku hanging out when I was like 8-10 years old and doing typically brazillian stuff. It was awesome. He's mixed (Super Sayan/Japanese/Brazillian)

🧃 ⇢ share some personal lore you never posted about before ahahahaha I've asked this one, but now realise I don't actually understand what it's asking for XD is this to do with my writing, or myself? hmmmm...let's assume it's about me, and go for what I think is probably my earliest memory, which is being in a hospital waiting room or treatment room, aged about two and a half, after having my forehead stitched back together, having tripped and fallen head-first into the glass-panelled front door in the house we lived in until I was six. I've had it reinforced by my parents talking about it (I used to run to the front door every evening when my dad came home, so my poor dad, getting out of the car after a long day at work, was met with his rather pregnant wife (my brother wasn't all that far off being born) holding his screaming two-year-old with a teatowel clamped to her head. Ooops.) but I do still dimly remember the room, and a large teddy bear that was there for the kids to play with. Apparently once I was stitched up, I was belting up and down the corridor quite happily, while my parents leaned weakly on each other. XD

Well, everything by the lovely @chicotfp (it is so lovely to see someone still doing manips and these are beautiful!), and also this piece by @deerlordhunter which was the inspiration and catalyst for basically everything I've written about grieving!Thranduil in Empty Vessel-'verse. It captures his sadness so beautifully and dynamically, I swear I can almost see his expression change, almost imperceptibly. It's amazing.

I just want you to know that I went through the archives yesterday to look for store recommendations, and I had an absolutely MAGNIFICENT time revisiting all your art (and I think seeing some pieces that I missed originally). Thank you for all the time and energy you put into making and sharing all this for us to enjoy!
I saw that little like-and-comment spree of yours, yeah! It was a delight watching all the hearts and fun reactions popping up in my notes. You really got all the way through the blog! And that’s impressive, ‘cause there’s a lot of blog to get through!! X-D

<3 <3 Thank you @greypetrel for the tag. Sorry it’s taken me a bit...that ADHD urge to rearrange in the middle of the night on a work day hit on earlier this week and my loft has been a disaster area since.
I think I filled out something similar not too long ago, but as I’m pretty sure most of my answers have changed since then, I shall fill it out again. Plus, I love being tagged :D

Currently reading: Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo for the second time. The entrire grishaverse gripped me in a way I hadn’t felt since H*P* when I was like 9 years old. Plus, who doesn’t love Wesper?
Last movie: Quasi on Hulu by the people who made Super Troopers. Surprisingly funny, but definitely one of those dumb improv movies you need to be in the mood for.
Last show: lol also Supernatural. I missed Cas, so I’m re-watching some of my favorite episodes while I design a digital planner.
Craving: Sleep. I gave in to my recent craving of homemade brownies and now just need to sugar crash.
What are you wearing right now: A loose 2-piece pj set, blank spaghetti straps and black shorts.
How tall are you: I converted my height from imperial and apparently I am also around 166 cm.
Piercings: Two in each ears that usually has tiny hoops in it. I also had a triple forward helix which was SO AWESOME, but itched like mad so I took them out and let it close.
Tattoos: One on each wrist and a handful of others that I plan on getting if I ever commit the time and money.
Glasses? Contacts? Glasses. I used to wear contacts on special occasions, but I’ve embraced the glasses 24/7 lifestyle.
Last drink: Water
Last thing you ate: The aforementioned brownies
Favorite color: It changes pretty regularly. As far as clothing goes, I really like dark reddish purple, that orange-y yellow, olive green, and eggplant. Any jewel tone really. But I’m also a fan of those sickly sweet pastels when I’m doodling.
Current obsession: I’m between obsessions honestly. I guess the closest thing would be the digital planner I’m designing. Can’t wait until the DA or ME bug bites me again, though. Particularly because I’m *so* close to having completed my second draft of Operation Leviathan, but my brain just won’t do the thing.
Any pets: One adorable, stubborn, sassy basset mix.
Favorite fictional character: Only one? Umm....Castiel comes to mind immediately. But he’s just the current one, not my all time favorite…all-time favorite is probably…. Kaidan Alenko.

What motivates you to write?
Really just the desire to be creative and the desire to get my words down on paper. I have a lot of trouble with motivation issues, though, and I don't do nearly as much writing as I'd like to.
2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else’s work you love (just please credit them).
It would probably have to be this line from ATQH (that I never shut up about):
Fallon grabbed his wrist and looked him in the eyes. Her own burned with tears and anger, but her voice was steady as she spoke. “Don’t you dare say you aren’t worthy of love. Don’t you dare go wasting yourself like this. You are a good man, Kristopher Pelle, and you’d better damn well act like it.“
3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?
As much as I want to say Fallon, it's probably actually Kristopher. He's my beloved self-deprecating, self-loathing prince who finally finds a place where he can be happy, and learns to stop hurting himself. Just thinking about him makes me giddy, and even more so thinking about him and Fallon together.
4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
I like developing characters. Coming up with their backstories, their personalities, how their backstories affect their personalities. Since I rarely actually write, developing characters is usually about as far as I get on a regular basis. It's also part of the reason that I like d&d so much, because I can develop dozens of characters. (I actually have 24 character concepts at the moment. Actually 25, including my one Pathfinder OC.)
5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it’s okay)
People have told me that I'm good at writing emotional descriptions. Which is so funny, because I have basically no empathy, and dealing with "real human emotions" is not a strong suit of mine at all. (Autism things.) But I really do enjoy writing angst, and making it stab you in the heart. Because that's what I like feeling when I read, what I enjoy reading. But yeah, people tell me that's what I'm good at. And that's what I want to be good at!! So that's good!!
6. What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?
The interaction with other people. Seeing people's tags and comments on my writing. That's what I love most.
7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
Oh, I don't know. I'm not a very organized person, and I haven't really written in a long time. I do love Scrivener, though.
8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
I'm super proud of all the details between Anvia and Oryn in ATQH. It's a lot, and almost none of it will actually show up in the story, but I'm proud of it nonetheless.
9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?
Hell if I know! I am always in a rough patch and can't seem to get myself out of it, so I have no idea what to say to others.

That Gon x Pitou track was sooo good, combining the forces of Mistery and M4rkim. I'm going to recommend it to other English speakers right now. My nerdcore + geek music recs have been a long time coming, so I might as well start them off with a bang!
A tip for my fellow clueless gringos/gringas: go into caption settings on YouTube and auto-translate! They can take a while to load. If you're impatient, go down in the comments and a user 'genesis' has transcribed the lyrics. Translate from there and follow along ^^

Medonho e sombrio / O ódio consumiu / Uma tormenta em um calmo mar / Ira de um homem gentil!
These lines stuck with me after hearing "Jan Ken Guu" by Kaitou. It's probably a coincidence, but seeing the title of this Pitou and Gon track, Homem Gentil, made me think it was inspired by Kaitou's.
As a bigbig Gon fan, these lines and this title resonate with me so strongly. He's a character often ignored, hated or interpreted in a way that doesn't sit right with me. I sympathise a lot with the little dude, and I find his mindset/morality interesting to analyse. To hear some guys from across the waters interpret my favourite character similarly to me is a nice feeling, even if I understand why Gon is controversial.
M4rkim did the character justice. I knew of M4rkim from his Griffith (Berserk) track and of course, his prior take on our boy Gon. Been a while since he did Caçador and I see the development. Mistery was more new to me, as I had only heard her Pitou track. That was a serious banger. Together? They killed it. This was such a good song.
If my memory hasn't gone bad, I've heard of tracks like this collaboration, Kaitou's "Jan Ken Guu" and Mistery's "Marionette" being called 'movement' type songs. I'm not sure what that means, but they have a shared special something that's interesting to see.
On the series, it's a shame HxH isn't too popular in Brazil. I see the 1999 anime getting a pt-br dub and all the amazing Hunter geek music Gabriza, Tauz, Enygma, Chrono, Kaitou, Basara, D.Y.A, Shiny etc. put out and I assumed it was super loved!
I don't know just how popular it is in England / rest of the UK (where I live) or the West specifically though. It is very highly rated on the website My Anime List, and named a lot when people talk about the best shonen, but One Piece, Naruto, FMAB, MHA and newer generation anime get talked about more I think. Which is a shame :(
Anyway, am so happy you reached out to me. I'm a huge fan of HxH and I love making new friends. A newbie with Brazilian geek music, and only got into it when I found Enygma's Hisoka track near release. Still, it's really cool!
It sucks to be on your own when you're super passionate about something, so I'd be happy to be someone you can share your fangirling with :D
