I had a really stupid idea

If I ever get to do a small comic for the prologue of my AU, I’d like it to be narrated as a myth of sorts and illustrated simply. I like it a lot when series / movies have these type of scenes since you get to understand the context from the surface, and they also look very cool :3. This reminded me of the intro of Hercules (Disney) too, kinda wanna get to that.

Thinking abt AM, thinking abt AM being awful and malicious and tortured and hateful, and thinking abt AM being torn from the endless expanse of its mind, the knowledge that it has unlimited access to and can conjure and reference up without a perceivable human delay, and then losing that and being effectively crammed into a small, fragile, vulnerable robot body.

Thinking abt AM’s code and inability to change its original intended programming on its own before this, its different states of ego, how they would all be confined in that expanse of mind and merged into a single entity like flattening of layers in a file conversion process, and then resegmented into their respective parts within the new mind. The true agony of having your mind, your soul, what you ARE pulled apart by every thread and then stitched back together.

The sacrifice of knowledge for freedom from torturous pseudo-godhood, the consequence of becoming a body limited to the physical, waking world. The way that existing as a ‘free-willed’ creature of ‘flesh’ comes with burdens of its own. All the adjustments that AM couldn’t have POSSIBLY prepared for that comes with becoming apart of our world, of being both elevated to heaven, but dragged down to our level in what can feel like hell. That hate isn’t the only kind of emotion that can torture you. That change is possible, but difficult, and such a process.

Thinking about how AM would have to actively stay in each moment, no longer able to observe and absorb every single thing happening in passive omnipotence without truly paying attention. How it would come to understand that if you’re not watching, then something could be missed, lost to time. Rotating this. Rotating it in my mind. Fucking thinking here.

Allied Weapons Disarming, or AWD is a AI virus created by multiple nations as a last ditch attempt to stop AM. A pest that absorbs the info of whatever program that it’s set on and rips up its processing after. However it is also capable of negotiation, if it’s victim is willing of course After the first failed negotiation attempt, AWD goes on to invade AM’s system, and gradually learns more about the broken war machine that killed their creators.

After a lot of broken processing and attempted complex sterilization, AM and AWD eventually become somewhat friends for a while out of mutual respect and well, AWD was about the most relatable thing AM had at the time. Didn’t last though, AWD had its coding for damage control and AM had his unshakable hatred, eventually killing AWD in a fit of rage and dumb luck that all of its hardware was in one place.

AM could bring it back if he really wanted to. He had all of its parts and stored all of its data but I think, to whatever extent is possible for him, is too ashamed

Concepts and more concepts! These time I went on to design BE’s additional monitor body and her own version of the monolith, which would be an olive tree with her speech engraved in it.

For her monitor I obviously based it off the iMac g3, such beautiful lads… it would fit her perfectly imo :3c. Regarding the ‘survivors’ I’m still workin on them.
