Basically the whole Mushroom Kingdom
Knowing how Mario and Peach “secretly” feel about each other must be exhausting😆
THIS. ☝️😭
Especially for Luigi, omg. >< I mean sure: Toadsworth, Daisy, Toadette and all the Kingdom's citizens would have a hard time keeping their mouths shut when watching Peach demurely clasp her hands together to make a wish - ever the same one, no doubt - and sigh dejectedly to herself in quiet longing.
But they wouldn't know what it's like to deal with a sibling who's literally lovesick. To enter a room and find their brother hunched over and grimacing in obvious distress, his eyes lost and imploring as he would turn and say: "I love her so much, Lou... I- it hurts," with pained and hopeless surrender. To listen to his enamored ramblings for hours on end, yet only have vague and constrained support to offer. To see him hurting so badly on some days, and somehow still having to refrain from grabbing him by the shoulders and yelling "She LOVES you, ebete!!" to his bewildered face. Oh, to just end that needless suffering... It would be so easy. But he can't. When all would be pleasant and bright, he wouldn't mind, and would even take some enjoyment from what he secretly knows... But there would also be times - disheartened and crestfallen - when that silent vow would be very hard for Luigi to keep. 🥺😣

I think Hugo and Richard need to work together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi my dear 🤍 and thank you for throwing yet another opportunity in my direction to talk about my main and my side-obession in one post 👀
Please hold the line, I need to process my immense love for men venturing out into fruity/feminine fashion, I'll be right with you 😀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok, now that's better 👌🏼
I think so too! And maybe they would get along well. You will laugh, but my delusional mind immediately draws some similarities between them (eventhough they have pretty different characters) - most likely just because they're both artists and I have a thing for them, but still.
Both Richard and Hugo were determined to become an artist from an early age on - Richard telling others as a child that he'll become a rockstar when he grows up, Hugo stepped foot out of school and went straight into acting school without looking back. While both being immensely successful in their respective careers - Richard having world wide success with Rammstein and is filling stadiums year after year now, Hugo quite literally hopping from one modern classic to the next (Lord of the Rings, Matrix, The Hobbit, V for Vendetta, Priscilla and more), both make indications that they kind of prefere the quieter/more simpler surroundings. Richard emphasizing several times how he would like to do a more toned down stage performance to give the music more space (I have an ask about it here), Hugo prefering smaller sets more than the immense big ones like LotR and Matrix and finds a lot of joy in theater acting (more raw and direct than movies). Both really live for their familys - in the linked interview Hugo mentiones he would gladly give his career up for his family and rather stays in Australia than to move closer to Hollywood (which he isn't a big fan of anyway), Richard moving back to Berlin to ensure a proper surrounding for the upbringing of his child as well as gathers his loved ones around him a lot.
And especially, both are extremely passionate about their work and can get quite intense about it, and while watching and reading interviews, you can immediately recognize their drive and passion. Which ultimatively is one of the things I absolutely love in people the most, and draws me to them most of the time 😊
And they are kind of a tiny bit connected! 'Du hast' was included on the soundtrack of the first Matrix movie (only on CD, not in the movie itself) in which Hugo played the infamous role of Agent Smith.
In a parallel universe, like in a 'Richard ventures out as a producer and cinema-lover into the world of movies'-AU (producing a movie, writing music for it, etc.), maybe they really could work together 😅 And Hugo once mentioned that he really likes Berlin due to the vast amount of different theaters the city has to offer 😊
Oh, and some more compelling arguments in my eyes regarding silly similarities (mentioning them just because i can):
Both have no problem dressing up in women's clothing and seemingly find a LOT of joy in it (like you already shown so beautifully in your ask 🙏🏼):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both also have absolutely no problem going all in when it comes to kissing their male counterparts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And both have an ass that won't quit, this is beside the point but still:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(gif sources: x, x)
All in all, thank you for coming to my delusional TED Talk about the several connections between my two favourites I made up in my unhinged little mind 🤝🏼

In retribution to my dear mutual @prototypelq's post, I will also be writing about my 3 favorites games of all time! Making this list was a bit easier than I expected, but because I have too many beloved games to choose from expect a lot of honorable mentions hehehe
And the first game on the list is, of course:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Tumblr media
It's no surprise that this game would be here. I mean, it's not like I replay it every year!
SOTN is a game of the genre "Metroidvania". You probably know this term if you have heard of games like Hollow Knight or Ori, but if you don't, basically, a Metroidvania game takes place on a huge map consisting of interconnected smaller rooms. When playing, you'll travel and explore around these rooms, defeating enemies and unlocking new abilities that allow you to acess new areas that were unaccessible before.
The OG Metroid on the NES can be considered the very first game of this genre, but Super Metroid and SOTN together were responsible for defining its standards and popularity today. Hence the term, "Metroidvania".
This game is a heck lot of fun to play. Dracula's Castle is huge and full of interesting areas to explore, filled with enemies and secrets of all kinds. SOTN is based on an RPG-like stat and level system, and you gradually grow stronger as you defeat foes, gain EXP, and level up. Weapons, armor, and other equipment are found all through the castle, further increasing your stats and other attributes.
Tumblr media
The soundtrack is an absolute masterpiece. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Castlevania as a franchise has some of the best OST's out there. Michiru Yamane is a great composer, and her instrumental works fit CV's themes and tone really well.
SOTN does not use MIDI samples processed by the PSX's sound chip (except for the Librarian's theme). Instead, all of the game's songs are played through audio streams, granting them CD-like quality, which is a little rare in other games on the system. Here's an example of what Yamane could do with this audio quality:
youtube
Sounds great, doesn't it?
Another aspect of SOTN that I love is of course, the visuals. To this day, I consider this game to have some of the best 2D graphics ever. The levels and backgrounds are beautiful, and every tile is filled with plenty of detail. All of Alucard's animations are fluid, graceful, and an absolute delight to watch and control. Often, the game will mix in 3D elements to enhance the beauty of an area, and it looks great.
There are so many little hidden details in the game that make you appreciate the developers's love and care even more. For example, in the Outer Wall area, a small suspended room can be found at the area map's bottom. In this room alone:
A falcon/hawk/eagle/bird of prey can be observed in her nest. As you progress through the game and return to this room, you can see the falcon coming back everytime to lay, incubate, and take care of her offspring. It's really damn cute.
A telescope can be found in the left wall. Using it allows you to see the Ferryman from the Underground Caverns.
Alucard can sit in one of the chairs. Leaving him there for a few minutes will cause him to fall asleep. Aditionally, in the Japanese version, the fairy familiar will sing him a lullaby (she can sing in any chair, in fact.)
Now, what is the purpose of this area, you ask? None. There are no items, weapons, enemies, or anything of use to the player (except for map completion). The devs just created this room to add more life and personality to the game. And this is just one example!
Tumblr media
As much as I love this game, though, I do admit that it isn't as perfect as most people make it. It does have its flaws: the game has very bad balancing issues, and the difficulty curve is essentially non-existent.
I never liked the Inverted Castle. Not because it's just the normal castle turned 180º, but because it doesn't feel like it was coherently designed, instead just quickly put together so they could ship the game claiming it to have double the original content (Galamoth was a great addition, though. I might make a post someday on why I love this boss so damn much).
Overall, this game means a lot to me. It pretty much set up my standards and taste with video games, and it made me understand why I enjoy playing them so much. It's a great game that I recommend to pretty much everyone! It's fun and really easy to pick up, taking only about 12-18 hours to beat for the first time, at max.
Also, can we just appreciate Ayami Kojima's wonderful cover art for the game?
Tumblr media
And now, for my second most favorite game:
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Tumblr media
My first (and only so far) FromSoft game, and boy did I fall in love with this game.
Well, to begin it, Sekiro has one of the best combat systems I have ever had the honor to experience. It's based primarely on player reaction, testing their ability to counter, parry, and dodge the various attacks thrown at them. Equipped with only one sword (and a few very useful prosthetic appendages), our protagonist Wolf must defeat all sorts of opponents, from respected warriors, shinobis with no honor, animals (yes I did die to a rooster. Twice), the undead, demons, and much more, all so can rescue and avenge his master.
Using your trusted katana, you have the ability to deflect enemy strikes based on your input timing, dropping their guard and allowing for attacks of your own. When fighting enemies in this game, you are not aiming for their health. Instead, you aim for their posture. As you deflect attacks with perfect timing, your enemy will slowy begin to lose posture, and once said posture breaks, you can go for a finisher attack that instantly depletes their whole health bar. It's hella satisfying to pull off. Deflecting attacks poorly can lead to your own posture breaking, though, so paying attention is essential.
Tumblr media
There are other aspects to the game's combat, such as Perilous Attacks, which cannot be deflected. To deal with them, you must either dodge, jump, or counter, adding even more danger to a fight and demanding focus from the player. Your prosthetic can also hold a few unique abilities, such as the Firecracker, which helps stunning certain opponents. Wise usage of these Prosthetic Tools will greatly help you on the harder fights.
Oh, and there's a catch: Wolf is no mere shinobi. He was blessed (or rather cursed?) with the power of the Divine Heritage, granting him immortality and the ability to revive from the dead for all of eternity. Gameplay-wise, this means that whenever you die, you'll receive one (or two, sometimes three) chance to revive on the spot at half health, allowing you to properly finish off your opponent. But don't think this makes the game easy! Reviving in the face of a tough boss never means an immediate victory, trust me.
Unlike Dark Souls, which rewards a more defensive playstyle, in Sekiro, the player must be aggressive and constantly take risks to overtake their opponents. Dodging everything and staying away will only drag on the fight and allow the enemy to regain their posture. As a certain character would say, "Hesitation is defeat".
But the amazing combat isn't this game's only strength. Another aspect that I love is how beautiful the game looks. Everything from the lighting, the colors, the gorgeous views, and the very well designed areas come together really nicely, and exploring this rather linear game is an absolute delight.
Tumblr media
The battles look graceful, and not just because of the combat system. The special effects look amazing, and add great beauty and danger to every strike. The Divine Dragon's bossfight is the most gorgeous part of the game. It's so cinematic and breath-taking that despite being one of From's easiest bosses, it's easily one of the most memorable ones.
youtube
The instrumental soundtrack is really nice, complementing each moment of the game pretty well. The Divine Dragon battle above has one of my tracks in the game.
And as expected, the game is tough as nails (I died like, 50 times at the first mini-boss. The Ogre has no fucking chill). One of the hardest FromSoft games, according to fans. This game demands a lot of the player's attention, skill, and mostly importantly: their knowledge of the game and how everything works. Your first few hours will be very difficult, as you slowly get an grasp on the game. But once you beat Lady Butterfly or Genichiro (two of the game's most important skill checks), everything just clicks and the rest of the game becomes a lot more doable.
Overall, this game was an blast to play, but it may not be for everyone. I recommend it for anyone who likes FromSoft's other titles, as well as for those who enjoy a good challenge. If you want to get into more difficult games, this game is not too bad of a choice, since it's extremely balanced and very skill-based, completely free of bullshit.
Oh well, time for my last but not least favorite!:
Devil May Cry 5
Tumblr media
This shouldn't come off as a huge surprise xD
I might have only gotten into this game earlier this year, but the 160 hours I currently have on it speaks more than enough. I LOVE this game and don't plan on dropping it anytime soon!
It's rare for me to hyperfixate on one specific game and play it for hours and hours without tiring like this, and DMC5 is currently my second worst case of this xD (the first one being Castlevania of course, in which I have 100%'d like 4 games :P).
DMC's combat system is simply too much fun. You have lots of moves at your disposal, and using them creatively and with as much style as possible adds so much depth to the game that beating the heck out of demons never stops being fun and rewarding.
It's also very skill-based, adding another layer of satisfaction to everything. Building up the skill to perform a new combo, finally managing to use Royal Guard with consistency, defeating that one difficult enemy/boss with an SSS rank, or just beating the higher difficulties is absolutely worth it. And even if you don't have much skill with the game, nothing is ever stopping you from bullying enemies in your favorite ways.
The dynamic soundtrack fits the combat really well and gives you the right ammount of adrenaline and motivation to slash through hordes and hordes of enemies. Also thank you Capcom for adding the Jukebox. I can finally listen to Devils Never Cry during an actual battle (and not just the DMC3 credits one!)
The characters are another great strength for me. The DMC Crew is so unique and fun to watch, and the Spardas in particular have a lot of depth to them, keeping the mind of fans very busy thinking about them xD.
So yeah, this game is way too fun for my own good, aparently. Never saw such a powerful brainrot coming. Absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone who likes some good video-gamey time!
And now, time to cast the spotlight to a few games that I love, but not enough to consider them my top 3 favorites:
Honorable Mentions
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow & Dawn of Sorrow
My second favorite CV games. Aria of Sorrow picked everything that was good about SOTN and polished it to perfection, creating one of the best metroidvanias out there. Dawn of Sorrow may not be as good, but it has a very special place in my heart.
Final Fantasy IX
One of my favorite JRPGs ever. This game is so charming, but under it's seemingly light appearance is a great story about the meaning of life, and about coming in terms with your own mortality. The battle system is fun and the music is as good as ever. The characters are wonderful and I cherish them to this day.
Final Fantasy X
One of the best games I have ever played. Of all the (4) Final Fantasy games that I've played so far, this one has the best battle system and some of the best enemy/boss design in the series. Alongside the gameplay, the story is the game's second biggest strength, and it has a very high chance to make you cry. The soundtrack is one of Nobue Uematsu's best works for this franchise, making you feel all sorts of emotions. Can't recommend this game enough.
The Legend of the Zelda: Breath of the Wild
This is the only Zelda game that I've ever played (please don't kill me), but boy is it a good one. The land of Hyrule is vast and very fun to explore. The game has such a relaxing vibe: sometimes I would just ride my horse, let it follow a road automatically, and just chill to the music watching the beautiful landscape. I put 170 hours in this game and didn't even realize it until I beat Ganon xD
Devil May Cry 3
Second favorite DMC game! This game is surprisingly polished for its time, and it barely feels dated at all! I personally prefer DMC3's DMD mode over 5's, as I find it more fleshed out, but it sure is a LOT harder.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
My first Metal Gear game. It may be short and relatively simple in terms of combat depth, but it's a lot of fun, the soundtrack is a BANGER, and the cutscenes are a joy to watch. The memes just never end, do they?
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Quite possibly Kojima's craziest game to date, but also one of the most fun ones! Not as good as MGS3, but there's something about the old-school MGS gameplay that I absolutely adore. Also the dialogue and plot are so batshit insane that you end up enjoying it despite not understanding a single thing xD
Castlevania: Bloodlines
Most underrated CV game ever, and my favorite old-fashioned Castlevania game. It stands up to SCIV, its SNES counterpart, really well. In fact, I personally enjoyed this game's gameplay and level design more than the latter.
(just three more games I promise)
Pokémon: Black and White (and their sequels)
These games are the most fun i've ever had with Pokémon. They're really good. They've got the best plot of any Pokémon game, and the first BW games actually made me question the morality of keeping these creatures and leading them into battles.
The Great Ace Attorney
My favorite Ace Attorney game. Great story with lovely characters. The cases were a lot of fun, and I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes nerd, so it's only natural that this game appealed to me, I guess xD. I still have to play the sequel, tho.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
This game might be technically unfinished, but it has some of the best gameplay in the series. The filler side-missions get repetitive but they're oddly fun to finish. It's my second most played MG game, right behind MGRR.

i feel like i am talking about my own poetry all the time (lie. i am very aware of how often i talk about my own poetry and try and keep it to a minimum to compensate for how much i Want to talk about it) but i really am sincerely proud of myself in that field. i know i have improved immensely since i started writing poems and i really love my own work and i think i’m doing a really good fucking job actually. this month has been rough so i will almost definitely not finish escapril but i have done a fair amount of poems for it!!! goal was to try and submit somewhere by end of month but if that doesn’t happen that’s okay. i’m very proud of myself forever regardless and i love my work.

🔀 and Steddie because I am hopeless 🫡
hiiiii annnnna!!! if you’re hopeless i’m a lost cause!! thanks for sending this ask, friend!!
While you go get another drink I think of ways to tell you I'm fine One more vodka soda then you'll never even know that I'm lying I used to wonder why You never said goodbye But now you're off my mind
oooft this one's a doozy and just reeks of denial!!
so what if a spicy little steddie friends with benefits au? one where steve and eddie end up in the same city together (either indianapolis or chicago), and steve's figured out he's bisexual but he's never been with a guy before and he wants to know what it's like.
who better to figure it out with than eddie? he’s got experience, he can show him the ropes, and steve can trust him. and because they're just friends, there's no chance of one of them developing romantic feelings for the other, right? especially if they set out ground rules from the beginning. neither one of them are looking for a relationship.....
but of course, it happens. steve starts to have feelings for eddie. probably did from the beginning if he's being honest with himself (which he's not). probably a lot longer than that. but when he finally figures it out, he doesn't want another relationship that's just meaningless sex. he knows the feelings he has for eddie are real, just like he knows eddie doesn't feel the same way. they both just wanted something casual.
meanwhile eddie has never thought he was worth more than a quick fuck. fun for a hookup, but ultimately too much. he's not someone people stick around for and commit to. he convinces himself he doesn't want a relationship, with anyone. even steve. especially steve. especially because he's been crushing on him for years. but it's cool, he can do casual. he can absolutely separate his feelings from something as easy and meaningless as sex. it's called compartmentalization, thank you very much.
but the thing is, they work. on the streets and in the sheets. they were never exclusive, but they both basically acted like they were.
steve breaks things off (maybe during sex for maximum ouchies. it’s just that eddie is being so sweet with him, holding him like he’s something precious and steve can’t take it anymore. he can’t take a single more second of this tender affection or he’s going to explode and not in the fun way. he’s going to do something stupid like tell eddie exactly how he feels).
so steve breaks things off and shows up at their favorite bar with a new girl on his arm right after their breakup, and it hurts more than eddie ever thought it would so he gets the hell out of dodge that very night.
steve keeps unconsciously looking for eddie everywhere he goes, expecting him to be just around the next corner, expecting eddie to just be there at all their usual haunts, as one does after a breakup. but it's not even a breakup! they were never really together! it's fine, he's fine, he's not even thinking about him.
but eddie's gone to california, and he didn't tell anyone. certainly not steve. not until he shows up on argyle and jonathan's doorstep with all his worldly possessions packed in his beat up old van and asks if he could crash for a while.
eventually steve hears about eddie through the grapevine, and it shocks him to his core that eddie dropped everything, dropped his job, his friends, his steve, and just left like that without even saying goodbye. he stops himself from calling eddie all the time, definitely doesn't think about the things they did together that had nothing to do with sex. about the feelings he thought would go away once he broke things off.
and he finally realizes his mistake. he finally realizes what a colossal idiot he was for letting the best relationship of his life slip through his fingers. for breaking things off and then being upset about eddie not sticking around to deal with the fallout with him, gah he's such a hypocrite!
so in the summer of 1990-whatever, he finally gets all his ducks in a row, packs up his own car, and heads out to california himself. chasing the sun to try and get eddie back in his life, however he'll have him.
send me a 🔀 and a pairing and i'll make up a little au

For that not-so-nice ask game:
ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?
skin: How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they grapple with anything that lives inside them—a beast, a curse, a failure, a monster? How do they face the smallest, weakest, most horrible version of themself? Are they able to acknowledge it at all?
gonna do these with cecilia because she’s the one i need to flesh out more. also i adore her.
ghost: cecilia doesn’t fully remember why she was cursed to roam her forest. she only has vague memories of someone— something— a concept she loved enough to sacrifice herself for… but even then, she doesn’t remember a name, a face, not even a voice. it’s kind of like those orpheus and eurydice retellings where he saves eurydice but doesn’t recognize her anymore. right now (this is kind of rough) i have it where cecilia’s partner died of an illness or something and she begged the gods/higher beings to bring them back— and they agreed on one term. that she trades her life for one in the forest. and cecilia, desperate, agrees, not knowing what it would entail— or maybe she did? nevertheless, the deal was done, and their partner awoke the next day with no knowledge as to where cecilia went. as for cecilia, she now lives amongst the forests of the mountains, deep enough to where you’d get lost if you weren’t a professional. she’s an enchantress of sorts. her negative emotions— which is really all she’s reduced to at this point— are converted into the magic she uses to control said forest, sometimes not by choice if she’s angry or sad enough.
skin: short answer, absolutely not comfortable at all. long answer, cecilia kind of.. doesn’t have a consistent appearance. it’s hard to portray that through art (which is mostly all i have at the moment), but her appearance alters with the most common perception of her at the time— because of course that forest has a village once you get out of it, and folklore!!!! but anyway. the point is, cecilia is nothing like she was when she was still a human. she’s got those angel-like wings, eyes that hypnotize, crooked, jagged sharp teeth, nails on her hands that can extend into claws. in some iterations of folklore her hands ARE large claws. in some, she has vampire-like fangs. in some, her eyes are obscured, only revealed to those she is cursing. she’s constantly battling with a lack of identity. she doesn’t know who she is— or what she was. what she’s supposed to be, even. she doesn’t even really know what she looks like herself. she avoids the lake as to not see her own reflection. she’s scared of herself. she acknowledges the fact that she only lives for another person— or thing— but that eats her alive. she’s constantly weeping over it, “why do i still live if i suffer?”
hopefully i answered those alright!! thank you :)

HELLO MY DEAR
So I watched red white and royal blue! It was GOOD! I loved it. I probably wouldn't have gotten around to reading the book any soon so I was glad that the movie exists. They used the word bisexual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That felt very good to see. The B isn't silent in LGBTQ!!!!! Have you watched it? If not, do you plan on watching it? If yes, what were your thoughts?
I wish we had a sapphic movie like that too. Hopefully we'll get it soon 🤞
Also there was one part of the movie I didn't like, they called both of the men homosexual when one of them is obviously bisexual. I honestly don't like it when people call bisexuals homo because we are bi not half homo half het. But the movie was overall good
HELLOOOO MY DEAR!
It is so nice to hear from you and get this ask! My angel buddy and best friend of 13 years (my way to say pet dog lol) died last night, so this is a wonderful distraction, and your asks always bring a smile to my face.
I’ve heard such good things about Red White and Royal Blue! And I’ve seen the gifsets of it :) which is the tumblr way of watching adverts lol. I haven’t seen it yet, but I think I’m going to need to watch sometime it since you’ve recommended it! ❤️🤍💙
AKDKJSJWJD THEY SAY THE WORD BISEXUAL. Out loud. That’s amazing. I remember when I watching Helluva Boss (same universe as Hazbin Hotel) with @random-friendly-1ntrovert and in episode uhhhh is it season 1, episode 6? I don’t know. But the episode Exes and Oh’s, there’s this one part where a character says “I’m bisexual” out loud and I just. I had never heard a character say that before. I’m not joking. I just paused it to stare in awe at the screen for a moment lol.
Oooo a sapphic movie like that would be wonderful! Hopefully we will get a movie like that soon! 🤞 I know it would make so so many people, myself included, resonate with it and feel less alone 💝 and my dear Sana, I’ll let you know if I ever write one ;)
Quick question! Was it a protagonistic or deuteragonistic character, or an antagonistic character who called them both homosexuals? Like if it’s a character we’re supposed to look up to and is portrayed in a heroic light, yeah that’s upsetting to add in the movie, but if it’s a negative character, then the bi erasure would totally be in character.
Thank you for the movie review! 💝💝💝 and feel free to send me asks if you watch and have reviews for anymore queer movies! <3

Favourite or a notable childhood movie you really like or keep returning to for whatever reason? Or just a niche one you'd like to highlight
Thank you for the great ask, dear mutual!

I'm not 100% sure why I loved this movie so damn much, like, I don't even remember when I watched it for the first time, but I loved it so much to the point that I rewatched it at least, 2 times a week I believe xD In fact, I rewatched it so many times that I pretty much memorized every line of dialogue and even the exact movements that the characters performed! (nowadays I pretty much forgot almost everything tho)
I'm not even exaggerating. Stuff like this makes me seriously question if I really was a normal kid xD (i probably wasn't but hey i was a happy one at least!)
But anyways, aside from childhood obsession, I genuinely really like this movie. It's not a very known Disney movie, and it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, but it does have its qualities!
The plot revolves around a dog named Bolt, who is a movie/show star, and his friend and owner Penny, a young girl who performs alongside him. Their whole lives pretty much revolve only around this show they perform, to the point that Bolt actually believes that he has real superpowers, and that he and Penny defeat villains and save cities together almost every day.
This all goes relatively well to the studio until Penny gets "captured" by the villain while filming an episode, and to "keep the immersion" of the scene, the filming crew locks up Bolt in his trailer and keeps Penny away from comforting her very distressed dog, so that he actually believes that she is in serious danger.
This sets up a chain of events where Bolt sets off into the outside world all by himself in an attempt to find and rescue his owner. During his journey, he makes friends with a streetcat called Mittens, who believes that owners do not truly love their pets and that Bolt's search is pointless, and a hamster called Rhino, who is a huge fan of Bolt's show and all of its encompassing themes and stuff. They both serve as foils to Bolt's beliefs and goals, and seeing their friendship grow through the movie is super cute.
I won't spoil the rest but overall, it's a super charming movie about loyalty and true love, and it also has a very nice roadtrip aspect to it. Oh and it pretty much raised me, yeah xD I even have a Bolt plushie that my uncle gave me when I was little! I used to have a Mittens one too, but I think I lost her in a pool? (to this day i'm not sure what exactly happened, but alright i guess lol)

ask game: fandom faves - 📚 book
oh man. *the adhd urge to list at least 50 titles while being ashamed not to have completed any physical books in the past..... too long* i'm absolutely going to sit here for 20 minutes trying to decide on a book so i'm just going to say one title from my scattered piles of books that i've started reading recently :D which is Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle
