remembering a fun marble hornets trans wrights element throwback where i managed to show up for one of their first convention features & while this was ofc already [serious "hmm...Not Cis: me??"] occasions i wasn't yet out or anything like well time to suffer being known & perceived thusly....while i Was out by the same occasion the next year like well here i am again, different name, binder, no plans to give anyone any rundown about this thing, hope it goes smoothly anyways and/or i'm effectively giving a reintroduction anyhow even though i May have been up to more memorable things that last time....no conversations needed to be had, i think i had the impression i was recalled as the same person but it was an entirely chill time, just this as like an early and pretty unique Occasion of like, here's people who know me from In Person (and ig Kind of online, i also don't recall ever like distinctly linking said in person appearance to onlineness lol. it just may also have not been an unsolveable mystery or a mystery at all. but mostly in person, and that's the element i was focusing on anyways) and my showing up transly in person with a whole other name this time as the major difference really lol. like well hope this goes swimmingly....And It Did. and at some point not eons later ya boy tim with some cringe comp sincerety like oh let me make this post somewhere about how an epic element of being a known internet creator is meeting new & various people including explicitly the [mh fans are like exclusively The Gays. and then some unfiction posters] factor & i'm like lol well you're welcome. just doing my part. but fr that was neat like i'm glad to get chill indirect & direct trans validation from internet horror series contributors in that immediate period of coming out & having to sweat it like damn wasn't at this point last time around
#lot of highlights that first time around at said expo....#loved being present for this like. Season One Dvd Live Commentary as this like late event put on some non ground floor room....#like it wasn't Huge but an impressive number of ppl showed up waiting outside & then the space was pretty packed#& it was just a fun and spontaneous time lol#also like going ''hmm autistic: me??'' as seriously & framed thusly consideration came years later#& relatively recent posting from ya boy tim (twitter) abt like adhd / autistic: me?? are throwbacks lmao like#hey pal as a [yes to both: me] party i can say that like anyone who's chosen to have multiple relatively extensive exchanges w/myself....#it's kind of its own ''hmm. you sure you're nt'' occasion lol#i would be Unsurprised thusly just like i'm Unsurprised abt the [practically no one is cis/het] factor....#anyways i have no idea what's going on w/the fact mh has these organic like popularity resurgences especially including Now apparently#but who tf is ever tuned in? cool when people are having fun and being themselves.#sort of distantly interesting to see what material people come up with in organic novel [entire new groups of ppl / popularity wave]#and mh i guess does that more often than maybe other things do#as they say it's a) just There online for perusal b) accessible in other ways. there's handy playlists & it's basically a few movies.#and c) there's always some hot new online homemade horror material & people can get into That & then into others ig. like mh sitting there#it's a like ''huh. i guess'' surprise even when mutuals / followers from Completely Different Things i indirectly find also watch/ed mh#like well. i don't really have a frame of reference for all this stuff lmao. i Guess it's unsurprising but to me feels like a weird overlap#just wasn't that niche? Hi friend I just figured out where the hell my inbox is so very sorry for the delay!
I do have a story in my head for my support course Deku, and its a bit long SO GET READY FOR THE RIDE. Anyways, his backstory is the same, but he never got OFA from All Might, and failed his UA exam so he uhhhh… didn’t get in. After a period of depression and hopelessness about his inability to be a hero, he turns to looking into heroism through engineering support devices (maybe by watching a documentary on David Shield’s work to help All Might — just imagine something like Kiri’s revelation w/ Crimson Riot but Izuku and David instead). Except, boi doesn’t really have engineering skills, so he researches. And you know when he researches, HE RESEARCHES. It takes a couple months, but he already knows most things about heroes, including their costumes, so it’s not a huge jump. He’s attending a regular high school at this point - he focuses more in his STEM based classes in school to help him along.
He also keeps doing hero analyses, but taking account how support devices can aid them or how they could be improved. His crazy analysis skills and support item ideas (by means of a blog) get some attention from some scientists he was invited to attend a brief internship/study abroad thing on I-Island. After working with Melissa and the other students on I-Island, he gains confidence as a support engineer! He even gets offered a referral by David the man himself to attend UA the following semester (after he gets word of Izuku’s dream to attend), but Izuku turns it down cause he wants to *earn* it. He passes with a bit of difficulty (scoring really high in creativity and concept, not so much on execution), but he’s accepted in as a transfer to the 2nd year support course!
Meanwhile, UA has already heard rumors about the kid coming from I-Island as a transfer, someone who got a rec from THE david shield - and turned it down. They all think he’s a big shot oozing with confidence, since who tf thinks they’re that good to straight up refuse a UA referral?? Bakugou doesn’t know ANYTHING about Izuku since middle school, so though he has an inkling that it *might* be him, he’s brushes it off like ‘there’s no way, his ass is NOT confident’. Once Izuku gets to UA, he makes quick friends with Mei (through Melissa) and also has all of UA lining up to get support item/costume suggestions from him, and class 2-A (formerly 1-A) is no exception! It helps that he already met Iida and Momo through the Hero Expo on I-Island (hence him + Iida’s familiarity in the comic I drew), but he makes lotsa friends (eventually even Bkg) and exudes confidence in a humble manner while basically becoming the next generation’s David Shield.
I actually have more to this but this is already super long LOL so I may write it up later if anyone else is interested to know more!

Heyo fellow tumblr writers I need your help :)
Long Story Short: I want to write a story that takes place around the 1890s in London but I also want to include references to modern pop culture and somewhat modern technology, so my questions is…how tf do I do that????
Context : The world my story takes place in is a world where the humans and all supernatural creatures live together. The supernaturals were in hiding till the first world Expo (1851) where some captured supernatural creatures were shown and from then on there was an increase in sightings of supernatural beings till they were established as their own race in 1871 (and all the racism and prejudice that comes with it lol)
So I obviously had the idea of an alternative universe where technology and fashion and alas everything else progressed somewhat slower due to the discovery of the supernaturals but that still won’t help me if I want to I don’t know make a Star Wars reference. Maybe it’s just not possible and I’ll have to write the story without my precious references but I thought maybe ask some other kindred spirits, maybe they’ll have an idea lol

I went to fan expo a couple weekends ago and got to meet Caity Lotz! She was very sweet and her eyes are so blue in person it's almost unreal... I went just to meet her because why tf not? When, if ever, would I have the chance again?
Anyway! I don't know how you feel about attending Cons in general (especially now because of cv) but, who would have to be on that guestlist to get you to put pants on and go?
I attended a big con with an actress client from a hit show back when I did social media work, and loved it as an overall concept. I think it's such a fantastic experience for fans. It can be exhausting for the talent due to hurried travel, BTS chaos, often getting sick from meeting so many people (and this was pre-COVID), etc.
But generally, conventions are such an awesome place for fans, creators, and talent to come together and share connections (even if some talent is just there for the money -- many DO actually care about the fans and enjoy meeting people). It's overall frickin' wonderful, when they're run safely and efficiently, anyway.
I actually would have loved to have attended a Xena Con a few years ago. I know there's the 25th Anniversary one in LA this November, but I dunno if I want to risk that with this new pandemic wave happening. We'll see. Aside from that, people have asked me if I'd do ClexaCon as a speaker type situation in the future, and I'd love to.
Any shared experience with like-minded people who love certain content and it all involves art and fun and fans -- I am so down!

Thinkin bout how I’m goin to anime expo in LA next month, and how last year when I went, literally 10 minutes in I met three people that were tiktok famous and had no idea who tf they were cause I didn’t have tiktok and now I follow two of them and if I see them I’ll be freaking out internally but if I end up speaking to them I’ll just say “hey I saw y’all last year for like five minutes what’s up” but who knows if my anxiety will even let me
