I have the worlds djmbest custom lore hc fir my oc and a encounter with a terramorph
Bassicly right
(Feel free to lmk if i fucked anything up with the terramorph, i havent seen it in game yet but im keeping the voice hc thing bc this is kinda not happening in game so its abit headcannoney)
(Oh and also its quite dark so heavy TW hre abt references to neglectful mothers, ill put it under a read more section as a just in case)
Bassicly right, i thought maybe jtd would be a cool idea if like- a few days after Klover escaped Neon (hes a neon street rat), the ship they were on crashed on a random planet with a terramoprh on it
The terramoprj found them, abd mimiced the voice of their mother to tuant them before it killed them, but instead Klover just straight up said "why are you proud of me? You never even wanted to know I existed"
And then the terramorph just stopped right there and fucked off like bro didnt wanna deal with a 17 yr olds truama
BYT YEAH THATS MY FUNKY JDEA I WANT EVERYONES OPINION HERE BEFORE I DECIDED ITD BE A GOOD THING FOR MY OCS CUSTOM LORE

Today’s recent sleeper card is cheap mono-white reanimation, and even more than that. But there’s a catch, right? Barely.
Just like Secret Rendezvous and similar cards, Jailbreak gives you all the control in this situation. You can assess who has what in their graveyard, and who they’re likely to use this permanent you’re giving them against, or even figure out if they can use it to begin with, or if they’re behind and giving them a permanent would help the game be more fun for everyone. And you also control what you’re bringing back from your graveyard at the same time, opponents don’t get a choice at any point in this. A bit of discussion can generally ensure the opposing permanent isn’t used against you, because people like gifts. Or ensure the opponent with graveyard hate ready doesn’t use it if you give them a gift (they have a window to exile graveyard after getting their thing and before you get yours, but discuss it first.)
And note that along all of that, this returns any type of permanent, a two mana reanimation spell that can grab any utility creature, enchantments or planeswalkers you’d have in your graveyard, or part of a combo. Maybe the permanent you’re bringing back is even game-winning and what you’re giving them back is irrelevant because that player is dying this turn.
One of the neat tricks with Jailbreak: if you’re playing with fetchlands of any kind, Ash Barrens, Terramorphic Expanse or Hallowed Fountain, this becomes a two mana land ramp spell in mono-white, you can just give back anything to your opponent to get access to it. Maybe even give them back a land if they have fetches too, help your fellow non-green player ramp.
Overall, a very versatile and powerful card, not only as a group hug card, since you have all the control every step along the way. This card from the Streets of New Capenna commander decks currently retails for less than a quarter.

Some Lanjari lore. When magic is being used a radiation called strael is observed. Strael can be quite dangerous in large amounts such as at the casting of significant spells, near leylines or places where the Weave is particularly thick. It is considered a force of nature similar to light. To protect against strael, the more arcana sensitive life on Lanjari tends to have purple-grey pigment that protects against it. Most life has it in some variations, including terramorphs like humans and dwarfs, but within sophonts it is especially noticeable in elves. Particularly cavelves, that don't have the copper-brown pigment of most plains elves, express it very strongly.
Natural sources of strael are Velyon but also significantly the core of the planet. The deeper you go, the more intensitity of it you'll encounter. This source of energy creates an ecosystem commonly called the Underdark. The lack of light does not seem to be a major issue for strealoautotrophs, who use the present strael for producing energy instead. Common places to find macro life are in little subterranean ponds, all adapted to use strael as the base of their energy or profit off those that do. Some light is also found here, usually by luminescent fungi. In larger ponds there are also fish, invertibrates, crustaceans and other critters. One of the top predators of the ecosystem is a near-blind serpent that mainly hunts by arcanareceptors. These little sacoglossan mimics are an important resource for underdark communities. They are called pickers for their ease of being plucked out from between the rocks.

Basic Bits: Back to Nonbasic Winners
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wow. You guys stun me with your creativity every week, and this was clearly a popular contest, which means even more quality designs. Lots of gushing to be had in commentary, but the gushiest is about to follow.
Endless Vista by @halfsilveredmirror
This is absolutely one of those cards I passed over dismissively, before doing a double take and coming back to it. At first, this just tracks as Terramorphic Expanse with extra steps, but the way it works allows for some really interesting interplay. If you have a solid nonbasic in your hand but have already used your land drop for the turn, it can be fun- especially if that land enters tapped naturally, in which case this actually gives you more mana than Terramorphic would- since you can play the basic next turn untapped. Obviously there is the concern about Terramorphic #3 and how much it improves consistency in lower power decks, but I honestly think that’s pretty negligible. This design is an excellent example of how a very small change can completely alter how you play with a card.
Lake of Valkmir by @hiygamer
Okay, so one thing I expect to mention in the rest of commentary (when I get around to it) is how “can’t” is more interesting than “can only” when it comes to magic restrictions. Given the Kaldheim flavor, I expect this was made to play with foretell, just like Vega. However, let’s consider this from the other end- if you had made the second ability “spend this mana only to cast spells from exile”, this land would SUCK. Power level wise and also as a design, it would be restrictive and limiting. But by selectively preventing a common use for the mana, you gently guide the player towards using it for the intended purpose, while still allowing for clever players to use it for other shenanigans. Powerstones are a great example of this same principle= imagine how bad they would be if you could only use the mana to cast artifact spells. Anyways, rant over, good design, love the flavor text.
Forsaken Barrens by @misterstingyjack
There were a lot of Desert cards this week, so it seems only appropriate that one of the winners is the one that ties them all together. Historically, Deserts have a unifying theme of sacrifice/graveyards, which few other land types get to claim. This slots right in there with the rest of them, and honestly reads like a real card to me. Cycling the amonkhet lands lets you color fix, or use it to get an extra use out of your sacrificing deserts. It’s just such a cool card that does so much with one ability. If I had any nitpicks, it would be that I thiiiiiiink this should have the gray frame instead of the gold one? Since the inherent mana ability is colorless and not any color? Feel free to fact check me on that one though.
See you soon for the runners!

Sarah x female Captain. How about female Spacefarer/Captain wreaking havoc and hurting people due to being drugged with Terrormorph fluid? How would Sarah feel? What would she do? Very angry Sarah?
The aftermath would be greatly appreciated too, if you have the muse for it.
Ooooh, we love angst and protective Sarah in this house!
Sarah Morgan watched with terror as the UC dragged away her beloved.
Powerless.
She felt powerless. All her life she had fought to ensure the safety of the people around her, yet in these critical moments she could do nothing but watch.
Watch as her lover fought and injured brave soldiers, wounded civilians as Sarah tried to tackle the Spacefarer to the ground.
She couldn't fight her--no matter how hard she tried, the idea of hurting her, even as her hollow eyes bore into hers, her fist smashing against her stomach, she could never harm the woman she loved.
She watched as the Spacefarer was dragged away by her hair, covered in blood.
And fell to her knees.
She had no idea how long she remained like that. A medic stopped by and checked her for injuries-- thinking that she had been amidst the survivors and was in a state of shock.
It took Andreja to shake her awake as her friend grabbed her by her shoulders and pulled her to her feet.
She told her in a hushed voice where lover was being held. But while Sarah could hear the words being said, nothing felt real.
She had been in many examination rooms before.
Always on the 'good' side of the glass.
This time there was no good side to be on as she watched her lover, beaten and bruised, halfway slumped on the table, blood still dripping from her nose--begging the interrogator to hear her out.
Rage tore through her heart.
During the last few months, her eyes had sparked with a new flame. She'd spent countless hours letting them roam over her lover's body with nothing but affection and adoration.
But right now?
Right now, she could barely see past the hot tears that were threatening to break the surface.
There were no Gods left in Sarah Morgan’s universe, but she had found a glimpse of divinity in the embrace of the woman that found herself shackled to a table. She prayed, with everything she had, that her lover’s words were nothing but the truth. Because if her love had truly held such darkness in her that she would unleash pure hell on innocent people… Sarah Morgan had lost her belief in a God long ago—but she knew hell to be true. And she would not hesitate to show the Spacefarer what it looked like.
It took both Andreja and Sam to drag her out of that room. It took Noel and Sona’s pleading to get her to sit down and get some food in her system. It immediately went back up. She could not keep anything down, no matter how hard she tried. The days and nights blurred together. Why couldn’t the scientists hurry? Noel had explained to her, countless times that such processes took a LOT of time. But Sarah didn’t care.
She couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat, could hardly breathe with the weight on her chest—why should they?
Terramorph fluid. No one could have seen that one coming. Admiral Logan called Sarah—he had probably expected her to thank him, or at least a single word. But no. Soon as Sarah heard, she let her communicator clatter to the floor as she rushed out, jacket tucked under her arm as she all but sprinted out of the Lodge.
“…Should we follow her?” Sam tilted his head as the door slammed shut. Andreja and Barrett got up from their table and without a word, resigned themselves to run after the blur that was the Chair of Constellation.
There were no words that could express how relieved Sarah Morgan felt. Back in her quarters, her lover safe and sound, in her arms. She had showered the Spacefarer with kisses, soon as the doors closed behind them. Sarah Morgan wasn’t necessarily ‘needy’, quite the opposite. But that day, she locked her doors and refused to let the rest of the world interrupt her reunion with her love.
“You know, Sarah, I value your help, but perhaps you are being a little… zealous?” The Captain spoke, her voice barely above a whisper.
“I don’t see what you’re talking about.” Sarah said as she finished wiring the new security turret into the ceiling of her love’s bedroom, wiping her hands on her grey engineering outfit, covered with oil stains and soot.
It had been two weeks. Two weeks, and the Chair of Constellation had seemingly lost her mind. She had enlisted the help of the entirety of the organization in securing the Lodge. Security turrets were brought in, courtesy of Walter’s connections. Tripwires and motion sensors had been a joint project from Andreja and Noel. Vladimir had set up some high-tech surveillance equipment all around the building and neighboring area, while Sam had enlisted Matteo’s expertise in ensuring that none of the security measures would harm them.
The Spacefarer sighed and let her head rest on her knuckle, as Barrett walked by with a chuckle, another security turret perched on his shoulder to be set up in the corridor.
“I won’t let them touch you. Ever again.” Sarah said with a deceivingly bright smile, hiding the murderous glint in her eyes.

Why does a set get or not get evolving wilds or terramorphic expanse? MOM has plenty of three color legendarys people would want to fix for, or even heavy single color. Seemed like an interesting lack of inclusion.
There's a larger balance of lands that gets chosen to provide enough color fixing without making too much.

I'm really obsessed with that starfield gamer you posted about. Like I consider myself a gamer, I can enjoy a triple A video game. But... idk. Where's the whimsy. There's a certain game i love that I will replay to the moon and back— I have 90-odd hours in it. I can beat the game in an hour and 15 minutes.
Idk the exact thesis of this ask, but I think it's crazy that 150 hours to complete a game 'isn't enough'. I think there's blame to be had with how common live service games are nowadays, and the expectation those games set
It is easy to jump to live service games as an explanation, but I don't think that's the whole of it or even most of it. Skyrim, with three DLCs, takes an average of 230 hours to fully complete (get all the achievements). People made YouTube careers out of playing Borderlands 2, a game that's 130 hours long. That game also got 10 DLC packs. So people who played both of those games and who got a really high amount of playtime out of them expected every subsequent game those studios made to have the same amount of playtime - or MORE. Not only that, but the expectation has been set for every game in those genres - in this case, open-world and looter-shooter - to be as long or longer. A common complaint for both Borderlands 3 and Borderlands TPS was that they weren't as long as Borderlands 2. That there wasn't as much to do, as though 'as much to do' in Borderlands 2, in large part, didn't mean killing the same enemies over and over for hours until the RNG finally dropped the super specific version of the shield you wanted that would let you kill Terramorphous 5 seconds faster.
Even a game like Red Dead Online, which costs $27 standalone and you didn't pay for expansions (a la Destiny 2), people would play it for 200 hours and then ask when the devs were going to add content. Like how much content are you expecting for $27? At $1 an hour, you get what you paid for within 27 hours, which you can easily play the online for without getting close to finishing it. And if you were playing RDO because you had already finished RDR2, well, that DID cost $80 but you had gotten your money's worth already because RDR2 alone is 182 hours long!
Anyway I think what this actually is is a symptom of the general idea that digital content of any kind is functionally worthless, and if you have to pay $20+ for it it had better entertain you a damn long time.

Eldrazi Study- Part 3: Kozilek
Tumblr media
Kozilek, Titan of Distortion, is personally my favorite of the Titans, as he is actually the one who is currently overall the least clear what the hell he is doing. This is because his purpose dwells not in life or death, but in the in between. Kozilek distorts reality and shapes it into what is needed. His brood is the least straight forward, as what I believe their purpose is is to essentially not cull or rebirth the land, but reshape it from its culling so that rebirth is possible. What makes this so hard to understand is this would likely involve distorting another entity we know so little about, which is a World Soul.
What Does Kozilek Do?
Tumblr media
Kozilek essentially takes the land and distorts into a strange bismuth-like substance. We have no idea what exactly this material is, but my theory is it is what could be best described as a “universal material”. If my theory is correct, Kozilek and his brood essentially transform a plane into a world that is incredibly easy to mutate and mold, at least for the Eldrazi. This is why a lot of artwork that showcases Kozilek’s brood shows them in the earth or near an opening in the earth.
But what about living entities that Kozilek and his brood come in contact with? Well, Kozilek’s brood likely comes in after or alongside Ulamog’s brood. While Ulamog’s brood is well suited for combat, Kozilek’s brood can still engage in combat by using their terramorphic abilities to equally distort the minds of living beings. Much like how you can harm someone with construction tools, Kozilek’s reality warping abilities can equally ravage someone.
Tumblr media
Why Does Kozilek Do This?
The “how” as far as how Kozilek does all this is very unknown. Wibbly wobbly magic and all that. So instead, why does he do this? Well, after Ulamog crosses through a world and renders it basically dead, Kozilek moves through and distorts it in preparation for Emrakul. While Kozilek seems to be able to distort the world regardless of Ulamog’s presence, Ulamog doubtlessly renders it especially easy for Kozilek to distort the world as no life will be there to interrupt his processes.
Ulamog and Kozilek need to carry out their processes for their sister Emrakul. As stated by Emrakul, the soil “fought back” against her when she was on Innistrad. Kozilek needs to use his magic to make sure this doesn’t happen, and most importantly needs to make sure the World Soul is prepared. This is likely why Kozilek submerged himself beneath ground when he was on Zendikar. Not only was he distorting the ground itself, but also was likely “communing” with the World Soul.
Conclusion
To summarize, Ulamog comes in and attempts to nullify resistance. Kozilek then comes in with or behind his brother and readies the world for mutation by his sister Emrakul. He is not life or death. He is best described as a titan of substance and transition. There is a lot that is unclear as far as Kozilek’s exact purpose goes, but that is what makes him so interesting. He is very vexing.

Magnus & Musings
Greetings to you all. You may call me the Mysterious Hermit, and I am the human behind the blog. I think I've procrastinated long enough on making a proper pinned post, so allow me to do so now.
If you follow this account, know you will see more than just rp threads. You will most likely see artwork and writing, the occasional lore post, or just some banter. I am a mostly-rp account. Not every post is or will be in character.
The contents of this post will be as follows: > RP Expectations/Rules >My Portrayal of Magnus the Red >Side Muses Bios
RP Expectations/Rules What I do not rp/answer to:
I do not do NSFW rp of any kind, nor do I entertain NSFW asks of any kind.
I prefer mostly-serious threads. I do not mind the occasional banter, but PLEASE do not come spamming old TTS memes/recycled grimdank memes in my ask box.
What I would like as a thread/expectations you should have when starting a thread with me:
I do not mind doing crossovers! If I am not familiar with the original property/your OCs backstory/etc., I may ask about it.
I am willing to do threads during the Crusade/Heresy and the modern 40k era. If you do not specify which you would like, I'll most likely assume 40k.
I am sometimes very, very slow to respond. Please be patient, or hit me up if it's been a while and you want to continue a thread I might've dropped.
I try to match length in responses as best I can, but please do not feel pressured to do the same. All that I ask is multi-para replies do not get one singular sentence.
The Portrayal of Magnus the Red:
I try to stay as close to canon as I can, though occasionally I may deviate. I enjoy playing him as a complicated "road to hell paved with good intentions" kind of character, with all the hallmarks of his famous arrogance and gigantamax-brain-ness on display.
In the modern day, I have him currently focusing on his New Kingdom project, where he is trying to terramorph Prospero so that it is decently inhabitable again while training the human psykers who are being drawn to Sortiarius in droves. Instead of Prospero being a gunshop, I am instead running it as the future home of the human population, while Sortiarius stays for the Legion. There will still be industry on Prospero's surface, but to a lesser extent than to what has been described, since I just find it way more interesting.
Side Muses:
Kazakh, Daemon of Tzeentch
Kazakh is a small, brightly-colored daemonic bird who has been given the order of keeping an eye on Magnus. He generally acts as his small daemonic messenger and sometimes emotional support daemon if the time requires. He has a penchant for hoarding shiny objects within the fluff of his chest, and usually takes shiny things as payment for being a messenger or to get him to screw off. Though sometimes in response to the latter, he'll show off his very shiny knives. He has once tried to cut Fulgrim himself for not coughing up a shiny bauble for him.
Zikar-Sin, Master of Possession
Zikar-Sin is a former Thousand Son returning to the Legion for the first time in millennia. He still considers himself a Word Bearer, having been attached to a Host for these past few thousand years, but is happy to be returning to his parent Legion. His role in the creation of the New Kingdom has largely involved him aiding in the reconstruction of a viable biosphere, or helping to integrate the inbound humans to the teachings of the Legion. His sorcerous mastery mostly lies within diabolism, but he was an Athaenean in the ages long since past, and his telekinetic mastery has also improved. He can also be found accompanied by his tutelary, Sepa, who joins him in the form of small twin screamers.

Things I am pretty sure are true:
1. The Eridians are still alive and used the Machine to go back to their home dimension
Nyriad was the one to control the Machine, but she really didn't know wtf was going on. Tannis could use it to open a portal to Pandora... Who is to say it couldn't open one to another dimension like the Vaults. Also the Overseer mentions that the Guardians' masters have left the house... Not that they've died. She even talks about proving our worth to them as if they are still around and watching... I think she knows.
2. The Guardians specifically want more Vault Hunters because they want them to open more Vaults
"War is coming, ur gonna need all the Vault Hunters you can get, blah blah", none of the Guardians actually stopped the Vaults of 2, Tales, and 3 from getting opened, the Watcher let Zarps actually give the info of where the Vault was to Jack in tps and did nothing to stop her death and help Elpis get destroyed, then did nothing in 2 to stop Jack from opening the Vault, in fact in 3 the Seer is mad at Lilith, not the twins. And what did Lilith do? Took the key to Pandora away.
3. The Guardians can possess people/things/stuff, not just other Guardian bodies (unless...)
Cannot fucking believe I called this one with my silly H2O AU but you know... See: Grave and Ward possessing Graveward, and the Ava podcast bonus dlc where the Seer possesses a dude
Things I am fairly confident are true, but also if we get more evidence I'm not complaining:
1. Humans were created by/aided in their development by Eridians
The murals in the Vaults. Just. That. The fact that apparently we lived side by side and then magically forgot that tiny piece of info after the Eridians peaced out. Sirens exist for no clear reason other than 'space magic??' and have an obvious connection to eridium and the Vaults themselves and can absorb Guardian wisps and Eridium. The lost legion were psuedo sirens (notably, they were dudes!) created by hanging around in the Vault on Elpis with some toxic slutch. Human souls/spirits/ghosts/whatever are represented by wisps, the same things we see when Guardians are killed, and the same thing we see when Lilith gets her powers back. We can see the 'bodies/forms' of those wisps using Eridian tech grafted onto a gun. Possible addition: humans can be possessed by Guardians. Compatable hardware? (possible addition: we are living in a simulation crafted by the Eridians, so them leaving for a higher dimension was just them leaving the simulation. See how Guardians do their quick moves and leave behind holograms/trails that look pixelated, and how Tannis could create the mayhem system (also Digistruct Peak, tbh, eridium and salami fingers is NOT a good enough explanation). Also, see the Vault on Elpis having an eridium crystal be a sort of simulation you enter to fight the sentinel. You beat him in that simulation and he enters as his Actual Vault Monster form, which is significantly bigger... Because you're inside a vr crystal. Counter argument: its a video game series and sometimes they just want cool stuff to look cool... No consensus until more info is given.)
2. The Vault Monsters were experiments done by the Eridians- either they were built by them or experimented on by them
The eye of the Destroyer shows fear when injected with slag in TPS and then does some stuff that greatly resembles Siren powers. Non-Siren humans (and animals) start to go mad and mutate really fast when exposed to (any) Eridian stuff long term- Sledge's mine, Hector's whole team, Terramorphous being a thresher that lives in Eridian ruins and grew to be absolutely huge (granted they're from Elpis, so maybe they could grow that size on Pandora naturally, but still...), Bloodwing, Krieg!, etc, etc. I've gone over this hundreds of times :Y. The Warrior has Eridian stone tech grafted onto it with the wings/tail thing it has and has no free will. The Rampager absorbs wisps to change itself into different forms. Why were they locked away? Iunno. Too dangerous, not needed, got bored, etc? For what purpose were they made/experimented on? Personally, for the more organic ones, I think just because they could. Maybe a mix of 'we wanna profit off this unethical science' and 'let's see what we can do bc nobody here can stop us'. For the rock boys (Traveler, Sentinel) I think they had a specific purpose, like they actually tie into the themes of their Vaults, which is awesome. So I assume they had a greater purpose there. Even if it was just 'protect what's inside'.
3. The Guardians want Vault Hunters to open more Vaults so they can possess the Vault Monsters inside them
A mashing together of 2 and 3 from the above category. Vault Monsters are strong. Most Guardians, not so much (the Martyr and the Seer are the exceptions, (probably the Watcher as well), not the standard). In the Vault on Pandora that opens when you kill the Destroyer, there was a Guardian mind core that Tannis uses to make the mayhem system on sanc-3. Why was it in there? We will never know. (unless...). Addition that's not so much proof as it is another related theory, but: the Guardians are bitter that they were left to do their jobs when the Eridians ditched them (see prev post) and potentially cannot stop until they escape through other methods (tricking others into being their successors (the Overseer) or possessing other bodies that aren't bound by ur creator's rules).
Things I desperately hope BL4 is about:
1. Lilith took Elpis to the other dimension and is currently with the Eridians, and the game is all about finding her/them alongside a B-plot, and then BL5 is gonna be putting down the Guardian rebellion with them.
I still hope the Eridians are gonna be the ultimate villains of the series, but, in the event they're not and gearbox makes me sob irl, this would be a cool thing for Lilith since she'd get to master her powers (character goal) and follow in the footsteps of Nyriad. Additionally, the Vault Map in her room on Sanc-3 simply shows the firehawk symbol when clicked on. It was originally meant to point towards Vaults (places where u can enter the other dimension), but now points towards the firehawk symbol. That could mean she's gone to the other dimension and is chilling with the Eridians, or is permanently in phasewalk, or smth between the two. I'm guessing the B-plot will be the Guardians possessing Vault Monsters and stuff, tho I would not be opposed to uhhh Anshin and Pangolin lore. Pls???
2. The events of BL4 are going to have the Guardians as the villains, but the plot twist at the end is that they are gearing up (via possessing Vault Monsters that the VHs are going to race to kill) to go to war with the still-alive Eridians (or another enemy they were left to fight if the Eridians actually are dead, like the Seraphs (boo)) and we end up working together with some of them in BL5 to fight the Eridians, who we learn are kinda assholes and Just Another Corporation, let's be real
Uhhh see previous post bc I go into wayyy more detail, but basically the Guardians and the Eridians ditching them are a direct parallel to BL1 where Dahl ditches their workers on Pandora. Yeah, bandits end up being enemies in-game, but there are also groups of ppl who were left behind that are just trying to survive and do what they can to make a life for themselves and others. Can you blame them for being angry and bitter at Dahl? Tbh, I can't. I can't really blame the Guardians for being angry at the Eridians for leaving them, either. (Fuck you, Scourge the Martyr tho, I have beef with you, Personally.) There will likely be groups of Guardians that attack humans (esp if humans really were created by Eridians and the Guardians are jealous of our free will and or genuinely think humanity/Nyriad killed all the Eridians with the Machine, leaving the Guardians to rust), and then groups that are willing to work with us in order to accomplish their goals. Bonus points if in BL5 we get to work alongside all the Vault Monsters in the series as they are possessed by Guardians. I think that'd be neat and a cool send-off for the series.
3. The Guardians are the villains, the Eridians are Actually Dead, and the Watcher just wanted to help us prepare for the Guardian War by doing um... Nothing for a majority of the time.
Bad ending. Worse than the first option here, because at least then we'd get to see the Eridians in action even tho they're total jerks. Potentially, the Watcher was working behind the scenes with Lilith, since even Tannis didn't know why Lilith had an Eridian chest in her room and theorizes something more was going on. The Guardians are pissed off at humanity/Nyriad for killing the Eridians with the Machine and leaving the Guardians to do their jobs pointlessly forever with no Masters. Also for making that sacrifice be in vain by trying to open Pandora bc... greed. I'm guessing the Seer and the Martyr (Scourge) fucking hate each other lmao. It would be neat if we teamed up with a small subset of Guardians (like the Watcher) to fight other Guardians and got to witness giant Vault Monsters battling against each other. That's all I can really say abt this one.

Worldbuiltober Day 15: Gift.
A dwarf is presented with a traditional proposal of love and home-building by her partner, long awaited.
Tumblr media
Many cultures give gifts, wether physical, intellectual, social or practical. Terramorphs- dwarves, humans and halflings- are famous for their physical gifts. Especially dwarves have many rituals of gift-giving. From flowers to handmade items to monetary, every gift a dwarf gives symbolizes something. This intricate cultural symbolism makes craftspeople highly valued. Who else is going to make that specific type of pickaxe you need to symbolize wanting to build a home with your partner? Handmade items are especially valued. Tools are commonly given as a communication of wanting to do something, such as "dig out" your own little cavern- starting a home with pickaxe and rock hammer.
