Tales of a spontaneous oneshot pt 2

Scheduling issues are so fun so we decided to play around with our characters from the last silly oneshot.

-more cheese the horse jokes were made

-this whole thing was improvised except one character I made today during study hall called Siena who was literally just a valley girl and that was it

-at one point while fighting swarms of fire bugs she casted Tasha’s hideous laughter and her little joke was What did I say to the bugs…… buzz off!

-they travelled to the shadow realm tonight, and one of the characters (Mavris) decided he wanted to see how his drugs would affect him differently there, and after a few characters took them a few crazy affects happened - he was able to see in color and his eyes turned white (shadow realm is greyscale) - one guy turned reaaaally stinky - and there was one more thing. the whole premise of the oneshot was going on a quest to rid themselves of dragon pheromones that were attracting dragons towards Mavris and Quinn. While taking together the fantasy equivalent of a tomato soup bath for skunk spray the two took the drugs and the wild magic table landed on this

i like to think that the tentacles in dungeon meshi are kinda like mushrooms or perhaps even lichens in that they are very confusing to identifty and have 200 completely different species that look very similar ("delicious brown tentacle vs BROWN DEATH TENDRIL") and you need to be an Expert to determine the difference between some of the more confusing species and some of them have like 300 different sexes and some of them are actually composite creatures composed of several different species and somehow yeast is involved and also no one really knows half of whats going on with them and in like 50 years someones gonna figure out that uhm actually these are two completely different types of tentacle creatures that arent related like at All they jusf happen to look similar and oh btw that one common house mold is actually a tentacle

some of the tags on my edit are making me think:

do you think random sinners who watched everything in stayed gone and never met alastor in person have like fan interpretations of how he looks like based on this one shitty drawing and his voice.

some draw him with a full body of fur. some draw him with a nose, some draw him without a nose. they come up with their own colour palettes too and they all look very different. there are some popular, agreed on interpretations of him too that are commonly drawn

some have interpreted the monocle to be a goofy mismatched eye so there are a lot of people who draw him like that too with one big eye and one small eye

vox has seen all of them and lost his mind about them because they're so WRONG AND INACCURATE (okay maybe he laughed at some of them, but how the hell is he going to enjoy sexy alastor art if they all draw him wrongly? and val doesn't care enough to draw him often) and he wonders if he should have just used the actual picture he had of him for his news broadcast instead so he wouldn't have to be subjected to these horrendously inaccurate interpretations of him. this is why he sent a proper reference when he commissioned luci--

Designs for adult versions of the clone cadets in bad batch as Rebellion leaders

The first weird thing I noticed was that they kept specifying that tbb are "defective CTs", whereas iirc most other clones leave out the "ct" part. additionally, "special training" must have been a reasonably expected occurrence for them, since it was used as the Hemlock-jungle-lab excuse. they're also, oddly enough, the only three survivors from a base full of both cadets and adult clones. and finally, all three of them have noticeably different face shapes.

so my guess for their origins is that they're the results of the kaminoans trying to replicate tbb's mutations in a commando template, making them all specialized CC command cadets. From what we've seen of them, they don't seem to have quite as prominent abilities as say, wrecker or hunter, but are definitely above average to have survived that long.

Anyways the mini-backstory for them here is that they end up joining the rebellion around 5 years later (assuming that they're 6/12 and 8/16 in tbb s3, they would be 11/22 and 13/26 here) as the lead squad for the clone rebel cell after rex, wolffe, and gregor retire (and echo and cody are presumably dead).

Bonus: I originally had Deke's hair as dyed blond, but then he started looking too much like Rex (esp with the jaig eyes and partial arc armor) so I changed it back

There’s something so fascinating about Cecil winning the tumblr sexyman poll when he for the most part doesn’t have a canonical appearance, he truly is the ultimate sexyman because he’s everyone, he’s no one, he’s whoever the listener imagines him to be, so different, and yet recognizable each time, you look at him across all his designs and interpretations and you just know. You just know.

My pet theory is that GHOST is gonna end up creating Quintessons, btw.

The evil GHOST grubs leaving behind purple Energon-ish residue and having an aesthetic similar to the Arachnobots implies that this is already technology made by humans that uses Energon as its primary power source.

Originally my theory regarding the Terrans was that they’re a “backup” of Cybertronians, using the local creatures as a growth template to generate the protoforms, but I’m actually finding it likelier that humans were a direct creation of Quintus, that Earth is a seeded world, and that humans and mecha are more compatible than either humans or mecha are aware of. GHOST trying to create its own “terrans” and ending up with tentacle monsters with a ravenous appetite for killing everything that isn’t exactly like them would make them an interesting dark mirror for the Terrans.
