It’s not a jail cell. Hell, it’s not even an interrogation room. Not that Gintoki thinks they’ll actually, seriously throw him in either of those anytime soon, but anyway what kind of setup is this? Why does it feel oddly familiar? Why are the gorilla, the sadist, and Hijikata all sitting on one side of the chabudai—and why is Jimmy going over there to join them?! Now it’s four against one! The odds are stacked against him even before they’ve begun whatever it is that they’re about to begin!
Or: the Shinsengumi collectively give Gintoki their blessing to date their vice chief in typical Gintama fashion, and Gintoki learns the hard way that dating someone means also dating their whole damn family.

You stared at the words stamped on your skin. Black ink wrapped around your wrist as you pictured the moment when you would hear the fateful song finally tying you and your soulmate together at last. Until then, you'd have to imagine the sound of the chords intertwined with the lyrics of the song.
Your bike came to a halt as you just barely passed the entrance to your school. The gentle breeze caressed your face as you locked your bike into the bike rack and took your first step of the school day into Karasuno.
Baby, I'm Yours
Kei Tsukishima has heard enough about soulmates to know they were not a priority. His memory was ingrained, with scenes of two strangers making eye contact with each other and coming to the realization that the universe had destined them to be lovers. Soulmates were nothing more than an interruption in a schedule. His life wouldn't magically change because he met what the universe deemed as his soulmate, and he saw no reason to treat it like it would.
He slipped his headphones onto his blonde hair and let the music engulf him as he walked into Karasuno, expecting to eventually run into Yamaguchi.
Students poured into the hallways as the first-period bell rang. Finding your friends in the sea of unknown faces would be an almost impossible task. So rather than looking weird while you stared at your classmate's faces studying for a common one, you instead weaved through the crowd looking for your first-period class.
A tall figure shadowed over you for less than a millisecond before he was gone. You must've been losing it, but for a second you could swear time stopped, as you watched your life flash before your eyes with the similar blond-headed boy at the center of it.
Late nights, typing away on a blindingly bright laptop as he set a cup of tea next to you while berating to go to bed. Loud mornings cheering in a sea of people, watching the sweat roll down his cheek as his teammates around him shouted in victory. Quiet afternoons spent with books open and notes to be studied for an exam the next day. Every cherished moment you relished with him by your side
He looked back at you with soft-spoken eyes before they turned back to the stone.
Maybe you weren't losing it after all.
When he turned back around as if nothing had happened, everything around you continued. People passed by as if the moment you had shared had been nothing but an everyday occurrence. He pushed his headphones from where they sat and let them hang on his neck as he greeted a friend.
"Hey, wait!" You couldn't have imagined it, right? There's no way he would have reacted the same way if he hadn't felt something there. Right?
He was gone before you had a chance to catch up to him, and you were left wondering whether your sanity was still intact.
"Who was that?" Yamaguchi glanced towards you then turned back to his friend questioningly. "Seemed like they knew you."
"Never seen them before today," Everything that Tsukishima was feeling was like a puzzle, and it felt like something was missing.
Your head twisted and turned throughout the day, looking for his blond hair everywhere, hoping to catch a glimpse of it. You had been leaving school for the day, taking a seat on your bike when you heard it.
Fly me to the moon

The sweet melody flooded your ears, distracting enough that you almost didn't feel the painful sting on your wrists. The window to the music room must've been open, and you could hear the notes of the song you knew you were fated to hear.
Let me see what spring is like on

You followed the sound until you stopped in front of the gymnasium. You couldn't pinpoint the area of the song anymore as it swarmed you from all around.

His playlist was over, and the music app had been suggesting new songs when he heard it. The heart-stopping music he knew was meant to change his life forever.

Everyone around him had talked about the moment their song rang through their ears, and he had brushed it off. Brushed off the heartfelt scenes of soulmates reuniting as if they had spent their whole life wandering the Earth to find one another. Brushed off the stories told about the soulmates describing the feeling of meeting their true pair.
Baby, I'm yours
And I'll be yours until the sun no longer shines
But how was he supposed to brush off the sight of you staring back at him like you knew the very secrets seeped throughout his soul?
"Fly Me to the Moon?" You watched him peel his headphones off and tilt his head.
"No," Tsukishima looked at his wrist again then look around for anyone else in the vicinity. "I have Baby I'm Yours."
"This can't be right," You rushed to his side to examine his wrist. "When I looked at you, it felt like the universe had stopped for a second. It stopped! So why do we have different songs?"
Your fingertips burned as you rubbed at the ink on your wrist. You had spent your life wondering how you would meet him. You felt your pulse race when you looked into his eyes only to conclude that it was a lie created by your mind just to put you at ease?
You glanced at him as he stared into the sky, lost in his thoughts. He took the headphones from his neck and placed each side on your ears.
His soft voice wrapped you in warmth as the music played, "My headphones were playing a different song than what you heard, dummy."

Quiet footsteps echoed down the narrow alley, filling the empty static-like atmosphere with something a little more sinister. It was in the middle of the afternoon, and yet the grey sky made it feel so much later to him. He could smell the rain coming. It seemed to be raining a lot these days... Damp and shimmering streets still soaked from the last rainfall, he observes his distorted reflection through the gloom. City lights dancing around him precariously.
Why was he here? The young boss finds himself questioning the strange habits he had. He was restless, trying to find the peace that wouldn’t come soon enough. Eager to execute his next plan, hating having to wait for the right time... But acting carelessly could prove to be a fatal error on his behalf.
“I can’t stand this city...” Chisaki murmurs beneath his mask, amber eyes moving to look at his companion. Nemoto. “... Everyone’s sick. They don’t even realize it.”
And often, Nemoto seemed to be the one to accompany his Capo on these ritualistic walks. They were gratifying, fulfilling, no matter what kind of mood Chisaki was in. Being near him, it was enough to keep him content. But seeing the other so painfully discontent made him wish he could do more for the young Yakuza boss. For what was he if he could not? He only wished to be by his side, to see him succeed; to be the one that helped him get there.
But what a privilege it was to be this near.
This world city didn’t deserve a God like him.
What words were good enough to fill the empty space? What could he possibly say that could return everything Chisaki had given to him? Where he’d nearly given up on humanity filled with lies and deceit, Overhaul gave him hope again. Gave him a reason to live with purpose.
“You’ve already done so much. The city will see soon enough.” and then the world. The Shie Hassaikai were Deities among the decaying society filled with disease and rot.
Eyes hidden behind tinted lenses scan the boss’s features. Taking in every little detail and subtle movement only he could have known to look for. Finding himself admiring him for unusually long periods of time... he wonders if Overhaul has noticed, too. A part of him is grateful his face is hidden. He was perfect, in every way. There was no man more perfect than the one who stood before him.
“And I will follow you every step of the way.” to the ends of the earth.
He wanted this moment to last. They never felt long enough. And with the rain starting to fall...
he knew they’d head back soon.

The facts are this: Chuuya is a compassionate person. He cares too much and too fiercely. He gets attached easily and is undyingly loyal to the people around him. He also happens to be the strongest ability user this side of Japan since the turn of the century.
At age 16, Chuuya defects from the Port Mafia and drags his partner with him not so much kicking and screaming as silently begrudging, and the rest follow suit in time.

Chuuya and Dazai are dating, with enough PDA to make one vomit rainbows. Both are hiding a huge secret from each other: that they’re assassins.
Turns out they’re working for rival companies too. Turns out they were actually sent to kill each other by their respective companies. Turns out they actually hate each other’s guts and were just pretending to like each other (well, okay, maybe not the last one).

i don’t really read incomplete fics, but i didn’t realize this is incomplete till i was in the middle of reading it. it was still pretty good. the plot had just started picking up by the time i stopped at chapter 15.

i didn’t finish reading this fic. i stopped at about chapter five. it’s really really good, but super angsty. it’s a time loop where chuuya basically just dies every single day, over and over again. the writing is absolutely amazing, but i the angst really was too much for me this time.

Hijikata's shoulders do this little jump thing and then he straightens in his seat. His hands aren't covering his face anymore, but Gintoki's willing to bet that under the chabudai where no one can see, he's got his nails digging into his palms the way he always does whenever he's nervous.
...And now Gintoki's getting kinda nervous too. Are they actually in trouble? Wait, is there a no-dating clause somewhere in their Code or something? There wouldn't be, right? Hijikata wrote it, but he wouldn't go that far, right?

So I had a new WIP Idea that has building itself in my brain so here’s a little journal entry from one of our main characters. I’m excited for this one, honestly I’m happy I’m getting ideas, but brain you do realize I already have like five wips right? Anyway here’s your little tease for my new unnamed wip. Also feel free to send any questions about it and also I will have a taglist if you’d like to be added. This is from MC Luca’s perspective.
New WIP Tease
So I don't really do this journal thing much. Well I guess I did the last few days because of y'know what... But anyway this really bizzare thing happened to me. I thought I was dead and then... well obviously I wasn't, as I'm writing this, but someone had 'saved' me. You may be wondering why that’s in quotes. The truth is I didn't really want to be saved, it just sort of happened. So I woke up to find this boy- well I thought he was a boy at first, but then he had this fish-like tail which honestly terrified me. Not to mention he had these really pointy teeth- Then he told me he was siren. Not gonna lie I was scared he was gonna eat me but then- well, why would he save me if he was gonna eat me? hello? logic? Then he started explaining all these things about sirens and how I wasn't dreaming, honestly I still don't know if I fully believe that, but y'know I'm either crazy, dreaming, or sirens are real. He asked a lot of really strange questions- can't think of them in the moment but you get the point, this 'thing' obviously wasn't human. Anyway I don't know his name, but he told me to meet him again tomorrow night. I kind of want to but then again I'm not sure exactly what he wants with me- I mean he did say that he wanted legs and that I had He said I have magic. How weird is that? I did this weird zappy thing with my hands which hurt him by accident- but he didn't mind too much. He also asked to stay with me. Which in any other circumstance where an attractive boy asked to stay with me I would say yes. But where am I supposed to keep a siren? in the bathtub? I don’t think so- But I do think I'm gonna go see him again. He also complimented me and said I was pretty and had soft skin which is like the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me. Anyway tomorrow we'll see If I meet him or not.
Ooh this’ll be a goodie. Sirens? Magic? Humans being confused? Queer characters? what more could you ask for?
For some reason coming up with a name for this one has been hard, but I’m sure my brain will bring one to me soon.
