Frickin. i am getting audited by the state over a $197 tax refund 😭. it should be fine i keep good records and worse case scenario I'm out $197, but like... This is such a waste of time! And money! There is no way it costs them less than $197 to process this audit!

This is so stupid and annoying. I don't make any money. I'm not poor, because Andrei makes a lot of money, but they dont know that! They are auditing somebody who makes well under the poverty line over less than $200. So like for me its honestly fine but if they're doing it to me they are also doing it to actually poor people and it makes me so angry! Audit rich people you idiots!

Me: WHICH TAXES. WHICH TAXES ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. TELL ME WHO'S ACTUALLY GETTING AFFECTED BY THESE TAXES YOU'RE SO CONCERNED WITH.

Reminder to always ask what it is that people aren't saying in these ads.

A lot of them want you to think that it is your personal taxes as a working-class person that they're talking about. But if it's taxes on the rich that they're "holding the line on," then they're using your desire to survive with a greater portion of your own income as fuel to keep the upper classes from paying their fair share.

I keep getting the same three or four political ads (half aren't even for the district I live in) and I'm frustrated that they use these transparent tactics and that there are probably people that don't have the time or background to take that moment to go 'what are they hoping I hear in this? What are they actually going to do?'

Choosing to take the state of Lincoln's wellbeing in the epilogue to mean that Grant got better too, btw. That they healed together, that Grant bettered himself for the sake of his son and learned to love and forgive himself with time. That they still get really competitive over bridge and play fifa, that Grant cried at Lincoln's (second EDIT NO THIRD!!!) wedding, that baby monitors are a thing of the past but calls between them are still frequent long after Lincoln has moved out. That they were both alright!
