BOOT POST

Tiny little Parkhurst drop today, just 2 chukka boots. Not really my style, chukkas in general and also these are very low even for chukkas I feel like? Definitely reads more like a shoe than a boot to me. They are nice enough looking if you're into that kinda thing though, sort of dressy even in the roughout. And I do love my Parkhurst boots so I'm sure the quality on these is great 🤷 The mahogany leather is very pretty.

(normally i do not go to concerts when i dont know the band but a friend i havent seen in a year just texted me with an extra ticket to something tonight and im like... you know... friendship is more important than knowing who the band is, sometimes.)

oh heyyyy i wrote 500 words. they did not come easy and they are not amazing but we take what we can get around here.

Use a stovetop or an oven for cooking? Favorite recipe for each method?

I use both! Honestly most of the meals I make involve both the stovetop and oven. I make a lot of meat, and a lot of the time that involves searing it first and then finishing in the oven, or roasting something low and slow in the oven and then finishing it with a hard sear on the stovetop.

I don't really use recipes most of the time. I have a huge list of recipes saved in a folder on my taskbar just as like Ideas For Things To Make. And sometimes I look at a bunch of different recipes for the same thing to get a sort of average idea of how to make something. But I generally just look at recipes to figure out what groceries i need to buy and vaguely how long i should expect something to take, and I usually sub ingredients based on what I like/things i have/things i just dont feel like buying and change techniques because a lot of recipes ask you to do things that don't actually make any sense and sometimes actively lead you astray. I trust myself more than I trust 95% of recipe writers on the internet or even in cookbooks sometimes.

Hair ties. My hair got kind of long around like 2017 and I went through a brief man-bun-for-girls aka just a regular bun I guess but in a butch way phase? It wasn't especially cute I'll be honest. But yes, 100% hair ties.
