i heard that Biden was interrupted in his campaign speech like 10 times yesterday and i went to listen to it but i had to stop because the crowd would always drown out the protesters. A protester would yell "how many children have to die in gaz-" and then be drowned out by "4 more years!" You think the same crowd that would have the "stop racism and islamophobia etc" signs on their lawns would not be so politically opposed to people who used their freedom to dissent publicly against a president who claims to support his "diverse constituents unlike trump" while carpet bombing said diverse constituents' relatives. Pro-biden and pro-trump supporters have the same cultish mind sets as trump crowds fuck them. Youre not allowed to criticize the president that exists in their heads the ones they made fan edits for and thought would "save america from fascism." and if youre busy trying to write a response to my post about how these protesters are "allowed to do what they do but they shouldn't protest in such a vital stage of the election year" may i suggest that you understand that there is no "moral" reason not to protest a president that is sending billions of dollars to weapons to destroy Gaza. If you cant find that defensible or brave then might i suggest you read the first amendment and complain there. Because at that point its all respectability politics about a president that is responsible for genocide.

It too me a while to figure out how to answer how I feel about Ivan. I'm gonna answer this by diving into Alfreds feelings about Ivan. It' definitely not hatered Alfred feels. Granted I hc that Alfred is not really good at hating or holding long term grudges against anyone. This is absolute projection on my part tho, since it takes around 30 minutes for any fort of strong negative feelings towards anyone to pass for me. Alfred is similar in that regard, though for different reasons (cough cough attention span of a goldfish).

As for Ivan, he can hold Alfreds attention and interest far longer than any other personification can. Ivan never treated Alfred as a dumb kid or a "young and ambitious startup". There was never any "Interesting idea boy, you'll grow out of it." sentiment from Ivan. Ivan may insult him left right and center on any topic of his choosing, but it's never demeaning and dissmisive towards Alfred as a person. And more often than not it's a debate on equal grounds. I suppose there is an aspect of mutual respect. A respect Alfred had to earn from the older nations by stomping on every single on of them. Yes Ivan certainly thinks Alfred is idealistic and even idiotic at times, but he isn't implying it in a dissmisive sense, but a dangerous one.

One could even say he was charmed by the idiot yank.

Arthur is definitely more intimidated by Ivan than Alfred is. Whereas Alfred sees "danger" and belly flops into it, Arthur calmly gathers his belongings and fucks right off out of the situation (at least after his empire days). Needless to say Arthur is not in agreement with Ivan most of the time. He knows what a nation would do to get on top and while ha can somewhat influence Alfred to not leave chaos and gore after him, Ivan is unpredictable and therefore scary. And that's exactly why Alfred is in fascinated, even captivated by his Cold War rival.

But no, I do not hate the character of Ivan. He is complex, interesting and needs developing on my part (maybe if ppl r interested but idk don't wanna force a character on my blog if ppl aren't interested)

The way republicans talk about women, black people, trans people, gay people, and non-Christian religious groups is sickening.

Whenever a woman does something 'wrong' (in their eyes), like the judge who recently indicted this black guy, they emphasise 'female' when describing her. If they forgot to originally, they go back and restate their entire sentence just to add in 'female'.

And the way these assholes say 'female' just has this..dehumanising tinge to it. And when you hear one of them say the word, you immediately cringe in pain at just how disgusted they sounded, despite how badly they try to hide the tone of voice behind normalcy and mixing it in with the sentence. It just always sticks out.

And for black people..there's a heaping wad ton of shit here, so I'm not going to name it all off. I didn't even name off nearly as much as I should've for the women part.

But let's just say, Steve Bannon, the asshole running that republican TV show..he publicly stated to 'feel proud of being racist', and that 'Martin Luther King would be proud of Trump'.

And when they're 'defending' a black person? They highlight that that person is black, repeatedly. If that person were the victim, they wouldn't mention race, and they haven't plenty before. They're just doing it to look good.

We all know what republicans are doing and has been doing to trans and gay people..there's way too much to that.
