Mama Hens are back! Mama hen is a pattern I made all the way back in 2015 for Amigurumi.com's animal's at work themed contest. I decided the pattern needed a bit of updating.
Now, you too can make a mama hen in cotton yarn along with her apron and tiny spatula. Or, if you like, you can purchase one already made on my website (link in bio).

how do you hang plushies on the wall?
Hi! Im very glad you asked. I took this trick from desperate_danny on instagram a few years ago. So what i do is buy these fairly cheap bulk command hooks.
Then i tie a thin piece of thread or string loosely around the bear's neck. I like having about and inch of space so that its easier to place them on the hook, but a fairly tight loop probably works just fine as well. Just make sure there is enough room to put them on the hook.
From my experience this holds the bears up just fine. I have had issues with 1 apartment where the wall paint was so flaky that the bears kept falling off the wall and i had to use bigger command hooks to prevent them from falling. I recommend putting up 1 hook on your wall and hanging a bear up for 24-48 hours just to make sure they dont fall. If you live in a very humid area where your room gets pretty hot, you might want to upgrade to larger hooks cause the heat can cause the command strips to lose their stickiness and fall off the wall. You can also do this method with like nails or wall screws but thats a lot more permanent and since i move alot, i need my method to be portable and safely removable. I hope this helps!
