Welcome Home Characters as Things I Bought at the Dollar Store with my Friend:

Julie, Frank, and Wally Edition

Welcome Home has invaded my brain so badly that I bought these things, laid them out, and went "OMG [INSERT CHARACTER] WOULD BUY THAT!"

Frank Frankly:

I think he'd buy a butterfly journal, fidget critter, and a "Coffee Makes Things Happen" notebook. The butterfly journal is obvious, with his butterfly fixation. I just think he'd also like slugs and fidget toys, so the fidget critter would be good for him. I also headcanon that he likes coffee, like a lot of "grumpy" characters in media tend to (at least the ones I see).

Julie Joyful:

I think she'd buy a "Be Kind" notebook, a fidget critter, and a "Colors of Kindness" crayons box. Since all of the neighbors are very focused on being kind, due to the show being a kid's show, so I think that she'd be all over the crayons and notebook. The critter is because due to the fact that I believe she'd find it cute, as well as benefit from the stim toy. I can also just see her swinging it around like one of those wooden spinning rattles. She probably makes a "Critter Club" for all who own the fidget critter.

Wally Darling:

You've probably noticed the fidget critter is in every section by now. He'd also buy a ceramic mug paint kit, pastel crayons, the "Colors of Kindness" crayons, and fine line markers. The art stuff and ceramic mug kit are due to his love of art and expressing himself. The fidget critter is because he likes playing with it, as well as the fact that he wanted to join the "Critter Club" that Julie made.

As a little bonus, here's the colors in the "Colors of Kindness" crayon box, since they have cute names imo:

Some fanmerch, fanart, jewelry and accessories including doggie accessories that I got at the local anime con at the mall (if you can even call it that since most of the brand name shops moved out). It was a first time con run by one of the two anime stores that set up shop in the mall, with a few voice actors, cosplay guests and a host club, along with a dealer’s room and artist alley. The dealer’s room was in the old Victoria’s Secret lol.

I like small or slow cons since they’re not so overwhelming and I can actually take time to look at the merch for sale and buy stuff. At the big cons, well first of all, the plague prevents me from buying anything, but even before the plague, the artist alley was always too crowded for me to even look at the items unless they’re prints hanging above the crowd, or there’s a huge line or some folks yakking away so I have to grab a business card or snap a pic and go look for the artist online. Usually I go to big cons just to wear my cosplay and to see my friends and absorb weeb vibes lol.

None of these artists probably still use tumblr so I’m not tagging anything, but if you’re interested in these items, let me know, I’ll share the link.

Big Lots Haul

Some shit I bought at Big Lots this weekend:

Individual packs of snacks of popcorn, fruit & bars.

I like these. I am trying to include fruits and snacks in my eating plan. Keto doesn't allow for either of these...and that made me go a little nutz when trying to smash myself into a keto box.

Calorie counts on the bars. Because honestly sometimes I don't know why I buy these, it seems disingenuous.... because they are super processed and that is something I am trying to avoid for the most part. Obviously not going to avoid them if I bought them.

At least I stopped myself from buying shit I already had/have. And some things that the price point just wasn't good on.

They had Lankato products, yay! But I still have some from the last time I bought it.

$9 & change for 4 Quest cookies? No thanks.

Maybe I will do a post to figure out how to pair these in a satisfying way.

I feel like I eat ALOT. Or have the urge to eat alot. 🤔 It Is maddening. Sometimes it is just out of habit, & sometimes I am legitimately not hungry- like I just ate something.

Alot of that comes from being poor as a child and not knowing where my next meal would come from. Obviously I overdid it when food became available.

detangling brush

granted i have a superbly thin baby hair, but this hairbrush is ze best! had one back when i was living in Bogota. glad i got one here that is small and made more sense for my short hair.

not a fan of the colour but shouldn't be complaining for a discounted price lol.
