Candles - Dream SMP Star Wars AU
A/N: Welcome to - Another piece that’s wayyy too long to submit. I spent two days straight writing this between writing the next chapter of Beginnings. I sent this as an ask but then I think Tumblr ate it so anyway here’s a fic based on the concept. This is from @dreamsmp-au-ideas‘s Star Wars AU. I’m a sucker for father/son Wilbur and Fundy, okay? Anyway, hope you enjoy! - Minty
TW: Major Character Death, drinking(?), kidnapping, fighting, cursing. (Tell me if I need to tag anything else!)
Summary: Wilbur still has hope of finding his missing son, and has a special way of remembering him. Fundy gets a renewed sense of hope for finding his own parents and grows closer with Wilbur.
-----------------------------------------
“Sir, you need to let us in.”
“The fuck I will!” Wilbur shouted angrily from the other side of the locked door. “We don’t want any part of- We’re not with the Rebellion, we’ve done nothing to you or the Empire. Leave us alone.”
“Sir, you need to open the door.”
“I know you’re taking kids, and I’m not letting you take him. You’ll have to get through me first, and I don’t go down so fucking easily.”
“Sir, please calm down and open the door.”
The house was humid and dim from the hot day, the windows shut and every entrance locked. The only way in was through the front door, which Wilbur trained his blaster at, ready to shoot whoever was stupid enough to enter. Sally sat behind him, her blaster on the ground as she held the small baby in her arms, trying her best to keep him quiet. Wilbur could hear screaming children and sobs from across the silent town, as the stormtroopers marched down the road, children grabbing back for their parents as the parents desperately rushed after their children only to be knocked down with the blunt of the blasters, a few bleeding out, writhing on the ground in agony with their skulls cracked open, a few dead bodies scattering the ground. He noticed a hysterical woman shaking the body of her husband, a bleeding wound in his chest, and a sizable dent in his head that looked like a bruised watermelon. He wasn’t moving. A sizable knot formed in Wilbur’s throat at the sight.
This was sick.
Wilbur’s body shook with anger and adrenaline as he heard the click of the stormtrooper’s gun. A tense moment of silence passed before the door flew open so quickly that it almost fell off its hinges as three stormtroopers rushed in. Wilbur gunned down the first in the chest, Sally managed to blow the second one’s head clean off from her position on the floor, leading the third scrambling for cover, not realizing exactly who he was messing with. “B-backup, I repeat we need backup in Section 10 House 23, two soldiers down, I repeat, two soldiers down!” Looking over to Sally with a nod, they moved deeper into the house for cover as they heard more stormtroopers approaching quickly, flooding into the house. “Shit, they’re Mandalorians!” A commander shouted from outside the house. “Surround the house, send a widespread barrage!”
From the sounds of it and the blasts whizzing by, there were at least twenty stormtroopers around the house, maybe thirty - it was hard to get an accurate count from where they were. Sally cupped his cheek as she gave him a reassuring smile. “You take the left, I’ll take the right?”
“As always.” Wilbur’s face brightened as the two shared a soft kiss. The small baby made grabby hands toward Wilbur as Sally gently put the child in his arms.
“Hm, looks like someone wants his Dad.” Wilbur loved how much Sally was always so confident, so relaxed when it came to times like this. At least, more relaxed than he was. She moved out of cover to begin to shoot back, and Wilbur kissed Fundy’s forehead.
“You’ve gotta be quiet as a mouse, alright? Stay right there for now and stay quiet, Dad’s gonna be right back.” Gently as he could, he placed the baby in a small steel cabinet to keep him safe from any stray fire. Fundy looked up at Wilbur with wide curious eyes, a hand in his mouth. Wilbur’s heart melted at the sight as he securely closed the cabinet, grabbing his second blaster and moving toward the window to aim.
------------------------------------------------
“Oh, uh… I didn’t mean to interrupt anything-” Fundy asked awkwardly from the doorway as Wilbur kneeled in front of a table, a single candle sat on it. The glowing flame was the only thing otherwise lighting up the dark room. Wilbur moved around quickly, slightly startled when he saw Fundy, and rushed to put his helmet back on. Though Wilbur couldn’t see Fundy’s face through his own helmet, he could see how the kid awkwardly shifted in the doorway, looking away quickly in embarrassment. “Wait, I’m not supposed to-! I’m so so sorry-!”
“No, no. It’s fine, Fundy.” Wilbur breathed, not exactly expecting any company. “Did you need something?”
“Yeah, uhm… well Eret wanted to go over the plans with you for the attack, and…”
Wilbur sucked in a breath as he nodded. “Yeah, yeah, of course. Tell him I’ll look it all over with him tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow…?”
Fuck, they didn’t know. He was so used to being left alone today that he forgot he wasn’t living on the ship anymore. They didn’t know. Wilbur mentally kicked himself. “Right. Uh… why is this so hard to explain…”
“Is this another Mandalorian thing?”
“Well, uh… not- not exactly.” Wilbur managed. “Kind of. It’s a long story.”
Fundy moved to sit down a bit behind Wilbur on the floor, smiling behind his helmet. “I’m all ears.”
“Heh.” Wilbur smiled behind his mask. “Well, you know how I lost my son to the Empire when he was a baby?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Well, in Mandalorian culture, we keep the memories alive of those who aren’t with us anymore, but we don’t really have any way to keep the memory alive for something like that. I know that he’s alive and out there somewhere, so any of the normal ceremonies just don’t feel right. I needed to do something to keep his memory alive in me, so I won’t forget him, and I can find him again.” Wilbur said, turning to gently take the candle in his hands, careful of the wax. “So, I light a candle on his birthday every year.”
“Every year?”
“Of course.”
Fundy’s eyebrows furrowed. “How are you so sure he’s still alive?” His eyes flicked down toward the ground in thought. “So much could have happened, I mean, it’s been so long...the Empire’s not exactly merciful.”
Wilbur slowly took Fundy’s hand in his, placing the candle down next to them. “I dunno, it’s like… there’s some kind of feeling in the air, like a connection. No matter how far away he is, I just have this feeling that I can’t ignore when it comes to him. As long as it’s there, I know he’s alive - out there, somewhere, and I’m gonna find him.”
Fundy stared up at him in awe, not finding any words. After this long, after everything that’s happened, Wilbur still had hope. He lit candles and sat and loved and remembered. Despite odds, despite logic, all because of a hunch. It was more than admirable, and Fundy moved to pick up the candle, watching the flame flicker. Something about all of this felt right. “Could I… maybe… light candles too? For my parents.”
Wilbur placed a comforting hand on Fundy’s shoulder and Fundy looked up to see Wilbur’s helmet framed and lit from the flame. “Of course.”
--------------------------------------------
“Drop your weapons.”
They were surrounded, several stormtroopers pointed their blasters at them. Even if they shot two of them down now they’d be dead within seconds. Sally looked over to him, her confident smile gone and replaced with worry. Wilbur swallowed the knot in his throat as he slowly raised his hands in surrender, dropping his blaster to the floor.
“I said drop ‘em, missy.” A stormtrooper growled at Sally, who reluctantly tossed her blaster to the ground and slowly raised her hands. The Commander looked around the small house for a moment before angrily pressing his blaster to Wilbur’s forehead. “Where’s the kid?!”
Wilbur took a shaky breath as he kept his calm. Quiet as a mouse, Fundy. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Within seconds, Wilbur was hit across his face with the blunt of the blaster as the Commander kicked in him the stomach, leaving Wilbur sputtering for breath. “Does that jog your memory?!”
“Babies go missing, sir. The galaxy’s an imperfect place.” Wilbur huffed from his place on the ground, gaining confidence at the Commander’s growing frustration. More pain suddenly as the Commander’s boot collided with his face, each kick making his vision more blurry as blood dripped to the floor. He struggled to breathe in as he heard Sally yell, pure emotion in her outburst.
“Leave him alone, fuckface!” Tears welled up in her eyes as she began to stand, ready to charge at him and tear him to shreds. Her arms were quickly pulled behind her back, and she struggled against their grip. Wilbur coughed a bit of blood, trying to stand, as the Commander slowly walked over toward Sally. He tilted her head up to face his.
“Such a rebellious spirit...stupid, reckless, pointless rebellion. You do know how the Empire treats rebellion, don’t you sweetheart?”
“Fuck you.” Quickly, Sally was thrown against the wall, pictures and furniture fell to the floor with a loud crash. Scratches and blood littered Sally’s skin as she struggled to move or even speak as the room spun like a top. “Ugh…”
“It’s time you learned to hold your tongue.” The Commander spat as he aimed his blaster at Sally.
“NO!” Wilbur leaped, helplessly, across the room only to be punched down once more. “Leave her alone, I told you the baby’s not even here-!”
Wilbur’s heart dropped as a baby’s cry rang throughout the room. The Commander stared down at him coldly. “Not even here, huh?”
Wilbur’s eyes grew wide. “I-” Another strike across Wilbur’s face and he went down, shaking as he tried to crawl and stop the Commander who was walking toward the cabinet swiftly. No, no no no Fundy-
Suddenly, Sally gripped the Commander’s blaster as tears streamed down her face, fighting for control. The Commander pushed her up against the wall with his blaster with ease, shoving her to the floor. The sound of a shot rang through the air as blood poured down from Sally’s head. Her body dropped to the floor in a heap.
No.
Tears welled up in Wilbur’s eyes as he couldn’t seem to take his eyes off her lifeless body. Nothing about this seemed right, nothing seemed real. She was just there, she was just alive and moving and talking, and the next moment she’s just… gone. Wilbur screamed as he rushed over to Sally’s body, tears streaming down his face as he shook her. Words tumbled out of his mouth like a waterfall, so fast he had no idea what he was even saying. His heart felt like it shattered as he held her cold hand in his, a pool of blood beginning to form that stained his clothes, but he didn’t even care. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as blood dripped down from her forehead across her limp body. Wilbur’s shaking hands ran through her hair for the last time.
Fundy’s cries quickly pulled his attention away from Sally toward the Commander, who looked down at the child making grabby hands toward Wilbur, hysterical. “Aw, what a cute kid.” Wilbur stumbled to his feet, pain coursing through his body. Blood seeped down his skin, and his head throbbed uncomfortably. He raised his fists in a sort of fighting stance.
“Get the fuck away from him.”
Another shot rang out as he rang down and saw crimson blood spill down to the floor from his chest. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t breathe. He fell to the floor, crimson spilling onto the floor as he fought to stay awake. He curled into himself, all he could feel was pain, pain, pain…
Tears blurred his vision as his body shook. The stormtroopers and the Commander looked down at him with almost pity. You’re weak. Weak weak weak weak...
He could practically hear the smile in the Commander’s voice. “The Empire thanks you for your sacrifice.”
------------------------------------------------
Fundy’s eyes lit up in wonder as Wilbur handed him the matches, and moved to go grab something. The two candles are old - one shorter than the other, each with varying fruity smells compared to Wilbur’s vanilla one. He leaned over, lighting up the tall yellow candle then the smaller pink one.  He turned, blowing out the match then turning to stare at the flames. Warmth spread in his chest as he whispered to himself, head bowed. “I’ll find you, Mom and Dad. I promise.”
“Guess what I found!” Wilbur smiled as he brought over a large corked bottle and two steel cups.
“What’s that?”
“Phil found Tihaar, I haven’t seen this stuff in years!” Wilbur smiled, and Fundy looked toward him confused. “It’s a Mandalorian drink, nothing too heavy, I promise.” Wilbur laughed a bit as he poured out the cups. “You can’t find any of the good stuff anymore anyway.”
Fundy took the cup and sniffed it curiously. “It smells like syrup.”
“Tastes a bit like it too. Much more sweet than alcoholic.” Wilbur said, raising his cup. “Now then - a toast.” Fundy raised his cup as well with a smile. “To all those we’ve lost along the way. We keep you in our thoughts always, and may we reunite again.”
“We will find each other again,” Fundy added, looking to the sky, more hopeful than he’s felt in months.
Wilbur looked over toward him, nodding in agreement. “We will find them again.”

Can you give me a general timeline for the Star Wars au because I’m slightly lost 😅
Oh boy. This timeline is going to be as confusing as the Star Wars timeline itself. This is going to take a while. I’m trying to make the ages somewhat sensible.
Alright so here we go. This is going to take a while so this might be answered a bit late.
---------------------
Pre-Plot:
12 years before Order 66: Phil decides that yep, he’s going to adopts some kids and adopts Techno and Wilbur ten minutes of meeting them.
11 years before Order 66: Wilbur and Sally meet :]
9 years before Order 66: Wilbur and Sally gets married :]
8 years before Order 66: Fundy is born :]
7 years before Order 66: Sally dies and Fundy is taken by the Empire that is slowly growing in secret :[

--------------------------
Canon time (Everything at this point is after Order 66 so assume that when looking at the years and months)

5 years 2 months: Dream, Sapnap, and George are all friends and all go into one mission and the Empire realizes that they surprisingly work really well together so they go and let them have more missions together. Punz is soon hired as extra manpower for them.

Eret sees Tubbo and they reunite privately. They bonded and Eret tells Tubbo not to tell anyone that they’re a Jedi.
7 years 1 month: Quackity says fuck you to Schlatt and steals a ship and half the money. Purpled decided to say fuck it, and joined the Resistance.
7 years 3 months: Karl joins Quackity on their missions. Tommy gets captured and has a very brief time in the ship. Also, he hates the Crimson with passion. Oh dear. He’s worst than Dream.
7 years 4 months: SBI fam gets Tommy out and also adopts this confused tall child (Ranboo) along the way. Fundy comes to the Resistance base and is now officially apart of the Resistance. Also, it turns out that the confused tall child also has the force. Neat.
7 years 6 months: Sapnap and George crash land on a planet and are assumed dead by everyone. Quackity and Karl meet them and one forced job at a Masquerade and some serious wake-up calls, they decided to stay with El Rapids. Still got a way to go, it’s just that now they going through recovery with El Rapids team.
7 years 11 months: Tubbo runs away and fights Dream. Reveal happens and he gets captured. Shit goes wrong for Tubbo fast. Everyone is panicking.
8 years 1 month: Tubbo is recovered after Dream anonymously sent a message to the Resistance. Punz is getting real concerned over Dream. Fundy and Wilbur reunite so that’s good. That’s good right?

8 years 3 months: Punz drags Dream with him to save Purpled and blow up an Empire Ship. Dream gets a crisis because of that.

(Dream: Hey Phil what’s that term you use when the captive bonds with their captor?
Phil: Stockholm Syndrome.
Dream: Great....Hey Phil, how do I get rid of it.)
8 years 8 months: El Rapids fucking finds out that Karl is force-sensitive and is about to schedule a meeting with the Resistance only to get an early one with Niki and Puffy pointing guns at Sapnap and George.
DTeam reunite and boy it’s awkward at first but they soon go back into the rhythm of their friendship again.
8 years 11 months: Dream and Tubbo Capture number 2, Electric Bulagoo. Those two do not have a good time and Dream is forced to go to missions and is a mess. Tubbo encounters the Crimson and it’s fucking creepy. Conditioning is continued for Tubbo.
8 years 12 months: Dream finds out and says fuck it and gets Tubbo out of there. Dream is shipped off to Pandora’s Vault.

9 years 10 months: Egg made into Omelette. Major loss to the Empire and major win for the Resistance.
9 years 11 months: Plans to stop the Empire are made.
10 years 1 month: Full on Rebellion within the Empire, Resistance attacking the Empire and winning, Dream and Tubbo vs the Crimson. Epic things happen. They win and galaxy is at peace. Or at least on the road to be at peace.
----------------------------
Okay there’s probably more in the future. But this is like the general gist of it. I’m missing something but oh well. This is the main plot.

Okay I love the Star Wars AU!!! So you know how Storm Troopers that some were taken as babies?? I want Fundy to be taken as a kid from Wilbur and Sally. (Sally stood up against the Order and got killed because of it in front of Wilbur no less.) He’s taken in but gets intercepted by the rebellion and is kind of raised by them. Anyway, Wilbur doesn’t know what happened to his son and grieves for Sally, blaming himself that he was too much of a coward to stand up and save his family. Now, with forming L’manburg, Wilbur promises himself that he will never be a coward and never stop fighting against the Order, for Sally’s sacrifice.
Well that just goes and fuel Wilbur’s need for Revolution more. Not only is Tubbo a victim of the Empire, but Fundy, his son, was taken by them and his wife was killed by the Order.
That would just be sad. That hurts.
Now I know you said that he got intercepted by the Rebellion but what if...he wasn’t. What if he was brought into the Stormtrooper ranks but always had a feeling that what they’re doing isn’t...right in a way.
What I’m saying is that Fundy goes and puts together the pieces fast and then he goes and helps a Rebellion fighter escape (Eret) and start learning about life and unlearning the propaganda and shit.
Then we can get some character growth and fluff and then we can get a nice Stormtrooper Rebellion.
Look I just love some character growth and I want a Stormtrooper Rebellion. Fuck the writers for not giving us that.

Star Wars AU, I know Eret's a rebel but I was thinking, what if Eret's another padawan or a newly knighted jedi who survived order 66?
Only Eret's still keeping it a secret even after they join the resistance? Maybe before then they had escaped with a group of jedi and padawans and over time saw them get caught and killed and so now they've just convinced them self that they can't tell anyone ever because one day someone will slip up or betray them.
Maybe if they ever meet Tubbo (idk of they do currently in the AU) they try to avoid them since in canon Jedi can I think at least somewhat sense each other through the force. So Eret is trying to keep his presence as small as possible to avoid attention.
Maybe at some point Dream almost convinces them to join the inquisitors before he gets dragged into a redemption arc because he tells Eret that they won't have to hide. They they'll be able to use the force and be themselves and be around other force sensitives like them and Eret is so close to buckling before he remembers what they did to those he cared about and runs and that just cements the idea that no one can know what he can do and he just locks that part of himself away.
Maybe because of this they have an uncanny ability to pilot or shoot and everyone just thinks they're a natural but really it's part of their force training kicking in subconsciously. They start making a name for themself in the rebellion because of it and that's just as terrifying because they want to be a nameless faceless rebellion agent, they want to fly under the radar.
And then they end up finding Stormtrooper Fundy when they've been caught (as a rebel not a jedi) and suddenly they aren't flying under the radar because they've got this defector with them and everyone in the rebellion is at least hearing whispers about it
🕸️
Eret as a newly knighted jedi who survived order 66? Nice. We get badass Eret in here.
They keep it a secret because oh lord, they’re going to die if they’re revealed. Then Tubbo comes along and distance himself so that he won’t get caught.
The Betrayal arc being them almost getting convinced to join the Inquisitors by Dream? Nice. I love that. I love that so much. I fucking love thsoe interactions like that.
And then we get Eret making a name for themself on accident because of his shooting ability and then they just find Fundy and now they can’t ever go back to under the radar. Especially after they got attached to Fundy. Oh dear.
Now I’m just imagining that it’s found out at some point. Either by Eret having to use their force powers to save Fundy or someone else or Dream just casually mentioning it when he’s dragged into the base by Puffy and Punz.

Fundy has a mask as well and we love it. Nice.
And then we get Fundy and WIlbur reunion and Phil has more kids! Yay!
Fundy with a stormtrooper helmet with bits ripped out and some of them painted? Nice. We love to see it.
Eret being a dramatic bitch who saved them at a cinematic moment when everyone thought she was dead? Valid. I can see it. She would definitely do that.

Viva La Revolution! - Star Wars AU
We love stromtrooper Fundy!!!! I couldn’t help but write something, may write more on Fundy’s revolution exploits if you guys enjoy. Hope you like the drabble!
——————————
Fundy knew this was crazy, this was completely against the rules, everything he’d ever been taught or believed in, but… it seemed right. It felt right. The rebel didn’t seem bad at all, kind even, to an enemy no less! When he pulled Fundy’s helmet off to get a better look at him, the older rebel’s eyes scanned Fundy’s, gentle as he slowly reached out and cupped his cheek, hurt and care in his eyes. The touch felt nice, really nice. He wasn’t allowed to take his helmet off in public, and touches of any kind were forbidden. Though, Fundy couldn’t understand how such a lovely feeling could ever be bad or dangerous… it was a confusing experience.  He couldn’t help but melt into the touch, closing his eyes briefly to focus on the warm feeling. “What did they do to you?”
“They…” Fundy began, soon trailing off as he couldn’t seem to find the right word for it. “They’re my family.”
  “They hurt you-”
“Only when I misbehave. They just want to keep me safe, they want to keep all of us safe! Rebels can be dangerous.” Fundy said, his eyebrows narrowing at what he said, looking to the Rebel. “Not… not all of them, though.”
The rebel slowly traced over a few of his scars, pain blossoming as Fundy winced slightly, and the Rebel quickly retracted his hand. “Family…” The Rebel sighed. “Family doesn’t hurt each other. It’s wrong.”
His name was Eret. He told Fundy many things, he told Fundy the truth. That was a hard day for the stormtrooper. The day he learned that nothing was done for the necessity and success of protecting innocents, but was only done in the desire of power. That he fought and killed just so they could maintain that power over others, just so they could watch them suffer.
The most horrible truth of all: the Empire didn’t really care about him, or any of the stormtroopers. They only cared about how many they had. Lose a few, well… they can always be easily replaced in the Empire’s eyes. Now he was surrounded by an army of them, of his friends and family and his commanding officer, blasters trained on him ready to fire at any moment. “
“TK-651,” His Commander looked down at him with utter distaste. “You have disrupted this ship, disrespected your brothers and sisters, and assisted in helping a rebel prisoner escape. If you want to do one single thing right that could possibly save you and redeem you from being a complete traitor and even lessen your punishment, you will escort the rebel back to his cell immediately.”
Fundy’s body shook with nerves. Was he doing the wrong thing here? Was Eret lying to him? He bit his lip, not knowing what to do or say. Eret looked over to him for guidance, for a plan, for any possible way out of this. Fundy met Eret’s eyes for a moment before he looked, scanning the crowd of around at least 25 stormtroopers surrounding them, guns trained and helmets on. Taking a deep breath to build up courage, Fundy took his helmet off, dropping it to the ground. “I’m not a traitor.” He said, his voice shaking a little, terrified of what was going to happen next. “But… but I think you are, Commander Julian.” He could see the Commander tense up at his words, eyes focused on him but not saying a word. “I know things now, things that you never wanted us to know. Things that you’ve lied about to everyone.” With every word, Fundy was slowly gaining confidence. He looked, turned over to the stormtroopers in his squadron, people he ate lunch with every day, joked and laughed with. “Do any of you wonder why we go to planets in deserted towns? In the poorest cities of the galaxy? Do you ever wonder why they’re that poor if they’re these dangerous Rebels that can’t be trusted? Why we always shoot first?!” He turned to glare at his Commander, pointing an accusing finger at them. “They lied to all of us. They used us. And the worst part is, they don’t even care when we’re dead-!”
“ENOUGH!” The Commander shouted as he grabbed a blaster out of another stormtrooper’s hands quickly, shooting Fundy in the stomach as he fell to the floor. The tense silence broke as a shootout began to take place in the hangar, and Eret dragged Fundy to cover. The Rebel helped Fundy sit up as he put pressure on the wound, Eret’s eyes wide with concern.
“Shit shit shit, Hold on Fundy-!” Eret panicked as Fundy grimaced at the pain. A stormtrooper  moved behind Eret but before Fundy could warm him another stormtrooper tackled the other to the ground, gave Fundy a nod as they moved back to their own cover. “You really started something, kid.” Eret smiled a bit proudly.
  “I…” Fundy sighed, eyebrows furrowed. “I didn’t mean to…”
Eret spotted his small rusted and slightly dented ship in the distance, and he began to move to support Fundy’s weight. Those stormtroopers won’t hold the rest off for long. “Fundy, we need to go. Come on, I’ll help you up and we can get to my ship-”
“No. We won’t make it, I’ll only slow you down and you know it.” Fundy said, clenching his teeth through the pain. He watched behind Eret as stormtrooper after stormtrooper fell to the ground, dead. This wasn’t right, they shouldn’t be fighting each other they should be fighting those twisted leaders! His hand moving wildly as he fought through the pain he opened a compartment in his armor and handed the files over to the Rebel. “You need to go, you don’t have much time until they send reinforcements, Julian probably already pulled the alarm.”
“No. If you don’t leave with me they’ll kill you.”
“I can’t leave them, Eret. I can’t just leave the rest of them to die.” Fundy said, breathless. “I started whatever this is, I gotta finish it.”
Eret looked own at the stormtrooper who saved him, the one who inspired the stormtroopers to fight back, the one who told them the truth, who looked so young. “Kid, are you sure?”
  “Go, Eret.” Fundy insisted.
“I’ll send reinforcements, I’ll talk to the others, maybe we can help,” Eret said, looking down at the stormtrooper with sympathy and gratitude. “Thank you, Fundy. I won’t forget this.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Fundy smiled as he grabbed Eret’s blaster, forcing himself to move. “I’ll cover you, go.” Eret nodded as he sprinted for his ship, Fundy leaning out of cover to shoot at the Commander and defend his friend. He looked around at teh stormtroopers in his side - many were shot, injured, or dead. They looked over at him in curiosity and wonder as Fundy raised his fist into the air, seeing more reinforcements arrive as Eret’s ship sped off into space. “VIVA LA REVOLUTION!” He shouted, and the rest of the stormtroopers who looked to him raised their fists to the sky as well.
  “VIVA LA REVOLUTION!”

I love the idea of stormtrooper Fundy!!! Imagine he’s becoming a large enough threat with his rebellion that one of the leaders offers to tell him who his family is and where they are if he agrees to stop the rebellion at once. Fundy is at first conflicted, but ultimately decides to turn it down and makes peace with the fact that he might never know or see his real family again, but the other stormtroopers he’s grown up with? They’re also his family, and he needs to protect them too.
Stormtrooper Fundy let’s go! We’re going to go and write what should have been given to Finn!
Fundy just becomes so great at what he does and being amazing that the Empire sees him as a threat. Man, imagine that.
Then we have him declining because he makes peace with the fact he’ll never see his real family again. Heart breaking but thank god he did.
ANd then we get him deciding to go save the Stormtroopers he grew up with and protecting them and I love it. I’m just fucking imagining that other people start seeing Fundy as this guy who is a symbol of hope for Stormtroopers.
That there is a choice and that they can take that choice. Man after a few weeks, L’Manberg is going to get a lot of Stormtroopers who escaped the Empire.

More Stormtrooper Fundy!!!!!!
What if after escaping with his rebellion family after blowing up one of the Empire’s big ships, Eret offers to help Fundy find his real family and gives him hope when Fundy worries they could be dead that “if they’re anything like you they’ll still be around, don’t worry.” Just supportive Eret becoming a bit of a father figure to Fundy as they become a team and side quest on finding Fundys parents??? Their relationship is a lot like Luke and Hans in the way that they care about each other a lot but won’t openly admit it too often.
Eret and Fundy are going to go and have bonding moments and go on a side quest of trying to see if Fundy’s family is still alive. Good! They deserve more bonding time!

Yeah, Aster's fine! Also please imagine the story of Fundy, the Stormtrooper who broke free, spreading throughout the stormtrooper ranks, and oops the Empire might have a small (a very large) internal rebellion on their hands now. - Aster
Fundy has become a story among the Stormtroopers and an idol. There is so much internal revolution in the Empire now. We’re going to get so much revolution.
Viva la Revolution baby!
I can imagine Fundy learning about this. He’s a story now? He’s someone the Stormtroopers look up to? Man. He probably is also one of the people who goes and helps defected Stormtroopers who landed in L’Manberg adjust and stuff.

🔱 - That post with Wilbur and Sally getting married while in battle made me wonder how Fundy's Mandalorian armor would look like.
I feel like everyone in the family would give him a piece of their armor, but Wilbur would give him two. Fundy and the people that joined the family later (I am thinking Tommy and Tubbo, I dunno if Ranboo got adopted into it??) don't know why, but by Techno and Phil's reaction to it they don't bring it up.
The extra piece that Wilbur gave Fundy belonged to Sally. When she passed, he took a piece of her armor, vowing to give it to their kid if- no, when he finds him again. He's worn it since then, if it's two parts of that armor that Wilbur takes care of, it's the bracer from his marriage to Sally, and the piece he took to give Fundy.
I don't know if Fundy completely repaints his armor, but I imagine the helmet he modifies quite a bit. He paints some fox motifs on it, because he's been likened to a fox by other stormtroopers, especially after his rebellion - cunning and full of tricks up his sleeve, he sneaks in and out, without anyone noticing.
Oh that’s nice. I love that. Man. That’s great.
