There are two reasons why SMF Pt 2 comes out on top over Alone though Alone in many ways is the superior song. (1) The production (including the use of autotune) in SMF Pt 2 is incredible, and (2) because Alone ends on too disturbing a note for me to dwell on, knowing that it has come from Jimin.

Everything about Alone is perfect. The way the song begins with piano, then guitar, and then drums. Jimin’s voice. That man’s voice seriously fucks with my head. I can’t abide the thought that this is something Jimin went through recently, and that I relate in a very personal way. The emotions expressed in Alone feel too raw, too scary, and too real, and while that could point to a worrying state of mind in its author, I think Jimin’s idiosyncratic bluntness and clarity of speech in Alone shows the state of someone who still reflects often, is self-aware and also resilient.

Still, it’s a sad song to hear, an even sadder one to sing, but it is one of the most powerful and beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.

I appreciate the vision Jimin had for this song. Starting with the gag of him playing the Flea Waltz in the intro - the song the members have teased Jimin with repeatedly by saying it's the only song Jimin knows how to play on the piano - Jimin used that common (good-natured) taunt and then weaponized it in a song putting those who have crossed him in their place. It's clear by the second verse when Jimin raps that he's pushing himself to express what he means in as many ways as possible. He's challenging himself and sending a message, and that I can respect.

Anon in ask 1 who talked about the album showing the five stages of grief, I agree sort of. If we were to assign a response to each song, I'd say...

This is my least favourite song on the album because it never really develops, but it's also not supposed to. Jimin has said he wanted to express a dreamlike state in Like Crazy, and he does that impeccably well. The song leans into its 80s groove, heavy padded synths, something reminiscent of if Foster The People and The Weeknd made a song together. The thing about dreamlike states is that they lull your mind, and one easy way to create that effect is repetition and monotony. Think about why someone trying to hypnotize someone else tries to keep their voice steady, calm, and monotone. So, many times listening to Like Crazy I wanted the song to go somewhere, to become fuller or less predictable, but that would kill the trance so it didn't. While it's not my preference, I can appreciate Jimin's commitment to the idea of the song.

It's a great track even then. I sometimes listen to it right after Big Man, Little Dignity by Paramore.

Speaking of Like Crazy, there's been much ado about about Jimin's sexuality, queer-coding, etc in the song and so Anon in ask 5, I see where you're coming from.

Jimin is queer. I don't know what else there is to say about it or why even the mere possibility of Jimin being queer should generate the amount of fuss/discourse it does. It's possible I'm wrong of course, but like you Anon I don't think I saw Jimin even stand straight once during the entire MV. There’s not a single straight thing about this guy.

For the sticklers, perhaps the more diplomatic way of saying it is, 'many of us strongly suspect Jimin is queer.'

Jimin seems very pleased with his first album and this is my favourite thing about the last few weeks. Watching him for the last nine years, it's gratifying to see how he has fully embraced himself, his limitations, his pride, his vices, his virtues... The result is five great tracks, and I'm eager to see what more he will show us in the future.

Also cute lil Ohm is there. And Jennie. It's a good time and I appreciate how unpredictable it is. It's been my little happy evening watch lately.

Current favourite character: I think this was my answer last time I got tagged in one of these but. Ray from Only Friends. He's just so!! <3

Current WIP: I have a few fanvids in progress. Not gonna say they're still going at a promising pace but, I want them to be done so bad! I have a really fancy fun edit going to New Rules for SandRay & NickBoston. I also have a Buffy Summers edit going.

Aside from that I have a few fics but—while I certainly haven't given up on them—I'm not sure I'd call them WIPs considering the amount of time it's been since I last touched them.

Other things I've been working on include writing down Thai words I know on flashcards, which has been a fun if time-consuming process! It's a personal goal of mine to work on learning Thai. I've actually never learned a second language but have always wanted to, so it's rather special to me! I don't know a ton yet but I'm proud that I haven't given up on it. And it's honestly so satisfying when I'm watching something or listening to music and realize I understood something small without having to read subs, or understand a teeny tiny joke that wouldn't come across in English.

Besides that, I was doing a giant WIP in October which I didn't get that far on, but that's making the floofy Wednesday Addams dress. I've at least finished drafting a really nice fitted undershirt and making most of the detailed leather belt with a thick pleather material I had—it just needs to be assembled but I didn't do that bit yet bc my sewing machine was having issues for a while there (anyway I cut out 110 little shapes for the belt by hand with an xacto knife bless my SOUL). Hopefully I'll get back to the project when I'm feeling more energetic again!

A little author's note, if someone is interested.

I am terribly sorry for not posting much. 😭🙏 I don't know if I said it yet but I am now a Public School Teacher so I don't have that much time like before. I'm so bad in adapting to my new job that I'm becoming more anxious. But I'll be fine, I think. 🤗

Anyways, I only have three weeks of vacation before classes start once again. I haven't even been to a beach or travel much. But I've been enjoying some time for myself.

I went to the NCT Home exhibit in our country. I got a picture with Yuta using photoism but I'm so ugly and he looks unhappy. 😭 But I got one pic that I'm very proud of.

I also watched Kim Jaejoong's concert. To those who had been following this blog for a while you'll know that other than Yuta, Jaejoong is my first ultimate bias. And I cried so hard during the concert.

For fics, I'm currently working on some sub! Yuta and a husband! Yuta smuts. I also wanted to try writing an ABO fic but my writing vocabulary is so limited, it's frustrating. 🥺

Hey Storm . Hope you loved the Jikook fest on Jimin's Birthday . But I just realised that like Hobi said its a shared space But he didn't know the password only Jikook knew Okaaay!!!! .So HYBE knew they need to Decorate "Happy B Day JM " in Jungkook's studio .With those Balloon in Golden and Purple color . Do every member have a separate studio or only some? But still if that was Jungkook's personal studio then they knew that's were they need to decorate for Jimin or Did Hobi tease them knowingly that its both of their studio .Do they share a studio .And if you know can you tell what's the purpose a studio lol.

Jimin starts my saying hello, thanking ARMY for birthday wishes and staff for his cake which says "You're My Park Filter." He lights his candles (he struggles and it's adorable). Talks about how he didn't use to think Birthdays were that important but that this year he was really happy. His family came up to Seoul and he celebrated with them the day before and said that they agreed to have dinner together today too. He also said that he met up with and celebrated with some of his really good friends the night before and that they talked alot about ARMY and how grateful Jimin is for us. He mentioned how grateful he is for all his birthday projects and messages too. He is just the sweetest angel.

He talks about how his hair is really long and he needs to trim it and decide on his hairstyle soon (please please don't cut it, I'm loving it like this!). He talks about how hard they are preparing for the concert. He talks about running and working out lately and how it's making him happy. He also gets giggly and shy explaining how he feels like vlives get awkward when there is silence (we don't mind Jiminie, we just like seeing you!) and asks ARMY to please ask him questions and he will answer them so he knows what to talk about it. Lol

A little after 23 minutes we have the world's cutest phone call. You can see on Jimins face the exact moment he decided to call JK too. The little smile. It's the way his tone shifts and it's clear who he called as soon as he starts talking. And for me, it's the way Jimin playful scolds JK for overworking on his work out. Asks him to come. It's the way he knew exactly what Jungkook was doing at that moment. It wasn't a question of "are you busy" or "what are you doing" or "do you have time".... no it was "are you finished working out?" And then when he hung up the phone we just saw all the feelings, totally lovesick puppy eyes coming out from Jimin completely when he told us Jungkook was coming. Yes baby, we heard 🥺😭 and it's the way JK obviously just dropped everything he was doing and started making his way to the studio as soon as Jimin called because he got there soo fast. @dalloga also made a post explaining the "do you want me to come there?" Moment of the phone call that was really helpful in explaining the significance behind tone and word choice that JK used and why it was very significant to K jikookers, who have been calling this the "married couples phone call" too.

JK literally takes barely over a minute to get there (from supposedly 6 floors away) before we here beeping and he is letting himself in to the studio to join the live where he bows to the camera and they say hello where we get the cutest "I missed you" from Jimin. Please, you knew what he was doing before this and he knew exactly where you were (in his studio) yall probably saw each other 30 minutes ago 😭 they are too cute

JK comes in, sees the cake, relights it (to Jimins shock at how easy he lit the matches cute) and takes it to the door to pretend to come in and have delivered the cake to him. They sing and play a hand clapping game, it looked like patty cake and was cute AF. The giggles were beautiful. Jungkook sits down and Jimin hits us with this beautiful little one liner

He was feeling nervous and awkward about moments of silence in his vlive on his own. He called Jungkook, who dropped everything to come join him. And not even a minute into JK being there, Jimin is already feeling more at ease and comfortable live streaming and talking. You have no idea how soft this makes me. Like for real 🥺😭💜 JK also tells us about how he haircut was supposed to be a surprise for when we saw him during their concert, but he didn't even think twice about getting on vlive and spoiling the surprise if it meant Jimin would be more comfortable.

JK then playfully scolds Jimin about his camera angle. Jimin send he put it up because JK was standing. Jungkook puts it back down because Jimin is the star today 🥺 The way they scold each other is precious. The vibes it gives off! Jimin tells us how he is going to have his mom's cooking for dinner and JK shares that Jimin's mom makes really really good Kimchi. Jimin again expressing how it's a relief to have him there, just for JK to say he has to leave soon to go finish his workout because he was working out with 2 other people and Jimin asking him to stay. Literally I can't with these two... the hand holding through that whole little convo.

Jungkook says that his present for Jimin is currently on its way, being shipped by boat. Lol and jokes that he hasn't been very good lately and getting presents for people. And that next year he is going to try harder to get heartfelt presents for everyone. So is this confirmation that once again, JK only got Jimin a birthday present? Lol they also talk about Jin gifting Jimin mushrooms, which JK immediately knew exactly what kind of mushrooms Jimin was given, well aware of the gift received. Lol

JK asking if it's okay that he has been staying here. Jimin starting to go off of on a tangent about yes of course, ARMY loves all the members, just to turn around to JK puffing out his chest. And his response of slapping them? Yeah, he is never beating the Jimin loves JKs chest allegations. And JK telling Jimin that he is always cheering for him before he leaves (for the first time) before coming back with Jimins requested water and Soju (3 bottles and alcohol, no way Jimin will be thirsty on JKs watch) 🤣 To which our Jungkookie says goodbye again, before we hear a knock and he goes and let's Hobi in, and then also stays. (It's giving me Jimin saying goodbye 15 times and never leaving in NJ vlive vibes lol).

Hobi is the cutest. This segment of the vlive satisfies my 3J heart to its fullest capcity. Hobi talking about how it smells like chicken, all 3 saying they want chicken now. JK saying they should order some, weren't you leaving my guy? You said goodbye like 3 times now. Lmao Jimins reminder that his mother is cooking dinner too 🤣 ahh the domestic vibes are shining here in between the laughter.

We then have the cake comments. Hobi reads Jimins cake "you're my Park filter" which JK clarifies for him that it is because of Jimin's song, Filter. Hobi asks if JK prepared it, JK says yes. Lol I know alot of people think he really did, but I do really just think he was joking here. Jimin looks at him confused before saying that he already told us the staff prepared the cake and they all laugh. It is in line with him joking about delivering the cake to Jimin as well. The lyrics were pulled directly from his song "You're my Filter" with just his name added in there. I do think the staff prepared the cake for him and JK was just cracking a joke here. I'm very willing to be wrong though lol

And then of course we get to the "why are you filming this in his studio?" Hobi says he stopped by just to say Happy Birthday. Then asked but why are you filming in his studio. And then we have a second of awkward silence where Jimin and Jungkook clearly glance over at each other, Jimin looks back at Hobi and shyly looks back down to the ground trying not the laugh with the most flustered smile on his face. Like way to call them out?! Lmao he knew too. Which is why he immediately burst into laughter and hugged Jimin tightly before giving them their excuse, that it is of course a public space. Yes yes, public space, where everyone else needs to be let in but jikook can code themselves in. Lol

To answer your questions, I believe that JK and the rappers are the only ones with their own studios. The other 3 vocalists use general studio space. Correct me please if I am wrong. It is just Jungkook's studio, not both of theirs, Jimin obviously has access and can use it though. The decorations are.... well they are different and more pronounced then the decorations staff did for the others and the color scheme is very purple and yellow which is not something the staff does normally either. Personally, I think JK helped with the decorations. But that is me speculating is all. Jungkook also said he did the decorations at the back of his studio for his own birthday vlive, which were much smaller in scale but he still seemed proud of them. Lol so I don't think its totally off base to think he participated in the decorations here too 😂 and a studio is what they use for producing, writing or otherwise working on their music. JK also uses his for editting his films/photos.

Hobi's face after they do a cap of Soju is taking me out. Lmfao he does not like it at all, but he loves Jimin and so he drank some with him 🥺 lmao I love them. So much. 3J is everything. And the way Jimin jokingly left with them until they pushed him back in (yes, Jimin obviously knows the code).

Jimin came back and continued his live for a little over 20 more minutes after that. He said that after the members visited he felt like the vibe was much better and he was visibly more relaxed. I'm so happy they stopped by for him. The way he talked to JK about how he is awkward and nervous with vlives now when he didn't used to be as much because he hasn't gotten to see army in so long 🥺 I'm glad they stopped by to be with Jimin for a bit and help him relax.

Jimin spends the rest of his time just talking with us, being the angel that he is. Thanking everyone for his birthday projects and the ones he saw. How he is happy. He talks about how at first with the members they didn't all get along all the time because they were all so different, but now after 10 years, the way they feel about each other can't be described with words 🥺 and how he feels that same way about ARMYs too. How it first it felt like the fans were his friends and colleagues, and now that relationship feels beyond friendship that he can't describe with words. "You've become someone I love and miss at the same time." We do not deserve Park Jimin. He is the most precious and kindest soul. "Although I am happy, if I could wish for something, it would be to perform just once." If LA ARMYs aren't screaming their lungs out, I will riot. This is so special for them and for us. He thanks ARMYs for being born too and asked for our hand 🤣🤣 please Jimin. He spends the last 5ish minutes talking about concert prep, reading comments and again expressing how grateful he is ARMY and his birthday wishes before he turns it off. Seriously the sweetest human ever. And I don't care what anyone says that phone call to Jungkook was sooooo sweet and their entire interaction through since Jimin called him till they left were so insanely boyfriend. I can't handle it.

I've played football for a long time but strangely haven't gotten to experience this yet 🤔

Anyway the annoying thing was that not only did he send Jordan on so late but he could've used one more sub (since the max limit is 5 per game) and still done that pointless "cameo" sub at the end 🤦‍♀️

Battle Spirits Mirage ep 2... Just watched!! 💖💖 I need subs!! 😭😭😭 Soooo... Sometimes I have the feeling that this series is more Gundam/Geass alike than Battle Spirits... There's so much politics in it... I definitely need subs, yes! The things I got are that Varte is obsessed with revenge to the point of being a despot even with his own people... He seeks his own justice and power and I believe this will be the cause of his fall, at the end... Unless Gallet (who, on his part, seems quite f*cked as well with that reset plan 😱😱) does something. I'm glad that Magisa is back too! 💖 She seems on Gallet's side and we know how much straight forward she can be regarding the Core Light's Bearers... I trust her! 🥺💖 And finally Rein was able to fight against Varte!! I'm disappointed she hasn't met Gallet yet but I guess their meeting will be dulcis in fundo... I haven't understood if she has her original memories back since she said something about the original era, so she could but if her memories as Kajitsu had awakened she should have remembered or felt at least Yuuki/the King's presence... And it seems she didn't. I just have some doubts about the current reincarnations. Gallet inherited Red, Purple and White Core (but it still isn't confirmed if he just inherited the King's will and power or he truly is his reincarnation). Varte inherited Red and Blue Core (I'm not certain about how it's possible that the Red Core is split in two). Rein inherited Yellow and Green Core (she seems to prefer Yellow and somehow she seems having some glimpses of Clackey's memories) but when she activated the Green Core and summoned Houhouga... Awwww right in the kokoro! 😭💖💖💖 Anyway it seems that next episode will be out on March... I'm very disappointed on this schedule, honestly! After months I thought that episodes would lady at least 50 min, but they are just 23 min ordinary... 😔😔

Like legit one of the reasons I'd love to play as Rose in a future RE game is because we know she loves Ethan so much 🥺 and only because she knows what he did for her (like ik I talk a lot about the first time I watched that cutscene and how I wasn't that invested in Ethan then, but EVEN THEN I was touched by how she told him she loves him. My heart!). I feel like I'll immediately connect with her through that 😭

Yeah, there's this stupid thing I get into some videos where yt asks me to verify my age. Because I do happen to be 27, but yt wants proof. In what form, you ask? By asking me to show them a photo of my ID card or give them my credit card info. I have no single clue where that came from and why it exists. It's legit, it's not a scam, it's gοοgle itself asking me for that info. And I know there are multiple people who haven't done any of those yet they can still watch age-restricted videos. It's stupid and super annoying. Why does gοοgle want such private information just so I can watch gameplays of a horror game? Certain ones, specifically, because most are not age restricted! I don't know what they're smoking in gοοgle, but it's crap.

I tried using a vpn to pass through it, but I was still blocked out, so I'm pretty sure it's not because of the laws here (though I have found videos that are blocked in my country, specifically, the videos with the soundtrack from Outlander are blocked here for some stupid reason, and I can watch them with a vpn enabled). The vpn I have has an autopilot mode, which I guess makes me appear... nowhere, I guess. Like, normally, without the vpn on, my yt logo looks like this:

I belong nowhere. yt doesn't know what to do with me, and it allows me to watch age restricted videos. Perhaps it thinks I'm on a Space Station and so I'm a legal adult so I am allowed to watch what I want. Idk. Really fucked up that they ask me ID or credit card info to allow me to watch "adult stuff", if you ask me, but that's how capitalism and megacorporations work.

And back to RE stuff, I don't know how "canon" the dubs are considered (I mean, the ones the game itself offers are official, but still), but I like looking around for any differences even in like, small things. Like in the Four Lords scene, when Ethan looks at his restrained hands and says "Don't I get a say in this?", in Italian, Spanish and I think Portuguese, he says "Isn't my opinion important?" and I may not be an official translator myself, but I do kinda wanna make unofficial Greek subs for the game (if I ever figure out how to change the game files), and in Greek I would translate that into (almost literal, because our way of putting accent on the "me" would be to kind of repeat the word at the beginning of the sentence) "Aren't you gonna ask me?" because that's how I feel someone would say that in Greek, like, a literal translation of "Don't I get a say in this" could work but it would sound a bit archaic and even too formal for the situation. In any case, with the dubs and what little I understand from them, it feels like I'm watching the same thing but from another perspective. I wish I could understand the Japanese version, I feel like it's probably the closest to what the writers intended.
