I know we talk a lot about the improvised lines/scenes in st4 but can we also talk about the actor’s reaction to them? I’ll start by the smaller stuff and then go to the bigger ones. Okay Winona and David doing that kiss. Can we appreciate how tender that was? It was so sweet and both of them knew how they wanted that scene to be. It was so tender but also held a ton of emotions like everything was jumping out at you. Then we have the ‘don’t ya big boy’ scene with Steve, Eddie, and Robin. Joe and Maya’s faces are priceless with that scene!! They were legit still in character when reacting to that shit!!! Now to the bigger ones!! Caleb’s ‘Erica help!’ It was already impactful but Erica/Priah just fucking standing there not knowing what to do. She has to help but she is seeing one of her friends fucking dying in her brother’s arms!!! Her brother is fucking crying hysterically and this is probably the first time that she is full on seeing him having a break down like this. She knows she has to help but she is just struck by the sheer horror of seeing Max die in her brother’s arms! Her brother is helpless too and this is major!! She knew Lucas and max were in trouble but she didn’t know it was them being dead until this moment!!! Fuck!! Now to my personal favorite. Eddie saying ‘I love you,’ to Dustin. Gaten’s reaction is fucking incredible!! He says ‘I love you too man,’ but it is soo choked up. He looks away from Eddie but pulls himself back towards Eddie. He doesn’t want to see Eddie die in his arms!!! But he knows he should! He wants Eddie to be surrounded by love in his last moments! He doesn’t want Eddie’s last moments to see a fucking nightmare of a world! He wants Eddie to see his face as he goes! He looks away and then looks back! He can’t watch but he feels like he owes Eddie that! Everyone’s reactions are so good especially Gaten’s reaction to that line. These actors are so fucking talented and I hate that they go under appreciated like this!!!!!
