Also knows his husband is the more stubborn one. Hates that he always caves first—even if Mickey apologizes right after. Promised himself he wouldn’t this time. But he made bigger promises, too. Vows.
Ian knocks. Waits. Mickey opens their door.

So I have some thoughts….
*There is just inches in-between us, I want you to give in audio playing in the background*
I imagine you and Anakin being in sort of the same kind of bodyguard situation like him and Padme in the movies. Anakin has been assigned to you for some of time and even though he sure wasn’t supposed to, he couldn’t help but fall for you, despite the guard he put up. Anakin tries to act cold and distant knowing that he can’t let himself get too close to you, but at the same time wanting to rebel against the ways of the jedi. His words and orders ending up sounding more harsh than he want them to, in an attempt to distance him you from him. Anakin would do everything in his power to keep you safe, still, he has the strong urge to make sure you know how to defend yourself and fight back, should the need for it arise, even though he desperately hope that it won’t. What Anakin hadn’t considered however, was that being this close to you, sweat gleaming on your skin, soft pants leaving your lips as he pushes you to train harder, is nothing short of torture to him.
“Have you not listened to anything I’ve told you for the last hour? Your stance is all wrong and when you throw the punch, your thumb needs to be on the outside of your fist, or else it could break.” Anakin huffs, looking down at you with a cold gaze and knitted eyebrows, hands behind his back as he shakes his head.
“I’m sorry, there’s just a lot to remember. I’ll try again,” you mutter, correcting the position of your feet on the cold floor. Anakin’s broody demeanor and huge frame has intimated you since the day he was assigned as your jedi bodyguard. He was undeniably beautiful and you desperately wanted to discover more about him, not that you probably ever would, you thought. The attraction you felt towards him, definitely made it more difficult to focus on the words leaving his lips during your training sessions. “And you also need to rotate your body simultaneously, like this” you let out a nearly inaudible gasp as his rough hands finds your hips, the thumb of his warm hand slightly grazing the skin where the fabric of your tights end. You look up at him stunned, the closeness of your bodies, affecting you more than you’d care to admit. However as your eyes finds his though, he is already looking right at you, jaw clenched and theres something in his eyes that you can’t quite decipher…

this is an Elysium drama update!! drama in the loosest dumbest sense of the world. in which Sæ, if you’ll recall is Loki & Jesse’s daughter, is six years old currently and it’s taken us this long to figure out what her deal is. But finally!! AT LONG LAST….
Just like any of Loki’s children, It turns out her “deal” is just…. super extremely weird!!! For literally no reason at all, Sæ has revealed at last that she was born with the innate ability to turn into a gigantic squid monster 💙 duh…. What else

…yeah, I don’t know either lmfaoooo. Jesse certainly doesn’t, and Loki’s just. rolling with this par for the course. You see Loki’s biological nightmare labyrinth of a reproductive system, mockery of the concept of genetics that it is, is constantly producing kids that are just. Well they’re just anything at all! Sæ’s special abilities may have come a little bit later as a surprise instead of since birth but it’s not a complete shock…. To Loki. Do you think it's correct to divide school shooters into two categorizes like Peter Langman has done? psychopathic and psychotic?

hello, my squid friend 🦑 thank you for your question and your time.
i don’t think it’s necessarily incorrect to categorize. in psychology, we have a tendency to categorize behaviors into classes; i think it’s often for organizational purposes, but those classes are often based on human judgement and opinion, which is always biased (no matter how hard you try). even if you were to feed this information into a computer, a human still has to lay out the perimeters…therefore still making it biased. but the categorization helps us generalize behavioral patterns. the thing about personality and behavior is that it’s so fluid, it’s hard to “capture” them correctly.
with that being said, i think dr. langman is a powerful mind and i respect his opinions because he’s done the work. this does not mean i need to agree with him all the time!
his definition of “psychotic rampage”: “unlike the traumatized shooters, the psychotic shooter came from stable homes with no history of abuse. they had schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, including schizophrenia or schizotypal personality disorder.” he classifies dylan klebold in this categories…i highly, highly disagree with this. dylan, in my opinion, didn’t show any signs of schizotypy.
his thoughts on dylan, which i'll break down in two parts:
first, he states that the condition of this category is that the shooter did not come from an unstable home. i already struggle to accept sue as a reliable narrator; not because i think she is a bad person or anything, but because her perspective is obviously heavily biased. that's not something she can help. however, there were a few signs in her own book that point us toward the home being relatively unstable. they kicked out byron after he was caught with weed. sue and dylan had at least one physical confrontation that we know of. according to dylan's diversion documents, the family yells at each other when there's conflict and he's out of touch with his older brother, byron. dylan was never pushed to attend counseling or seek any sort of treatment when his family acknowledge he suffers with anger and loneliness.
peter langman remarks that these small traits in dylan's behavior mark him as "schizotypal," and therefore, a "psychotic" type. here's the thing: dylan's "neologisms" and words that don't exist, his poor grammer, etc. don't strike me as someone with borderline schizophrenia. dave claims that dylan was a bright young man but...he was literally a teenage boy with bad grammar. sure, he was in the gifted and talented program, but that never translated beyond his youth. he was more interested in working with his hands than putting numbers to paper. as he grew older, dylan stopped paying attention in class because he was not interested. he had no interest in trying or succeeding. i don't think he has any jumbled speech or weird narratives that say "SCHIZO!" no, to me, these are the writings of a mid-level intelligence teenage boy. no offense? furthermore, the "jumbled language" and neologisms are few and far between in his writings. the major reference dave makes is "being a god" or being "godlike"
here's a little gaming history tidbit: it was popularized by gamers in the 1990s to say "i'm feeling godlike" whenever they hit a winning streak. eric and dylan were both heavy video gamers. coincidence? maybe? just maybe?? i mean, they were known to adopt bits and pieces of things they enjoyed and apply it into their own lives ("going NBK" being a reference to their favorite movie, natural born killers, for example).
the other part that gets me:
how many times do i have to say it. how many times have i said it? dylan klebold more than likely suffered from ocd. here's another fun example.
"paranoia" is an anxiety-symptom, born out of ocd...which is, you guessed it, an anxiety-based disorder.
his fear of being persecuted by God is...whoa, whoa, whoa...A SYMPTOM OF OCD.
dylan was raised in a religious household. we do know that much. he actually went to church events with zack heckler from time to time, so we know he was involved with religion to some degree. dylan writes in his journal about masturbation and how he's trying to quit because he feels it will boost morally cleanse him:
"My humanity has a foot fetish & bondage extreme liking. I try to thwart it sometimes to no effect. Yet the masturbation has stopped."
i know, funny, foot fetish haha. but seriously. he references "his humanity," or the form of himself that he has disassociated from. he had gotten to the point that he was so upset, so disappointed with himself, that he was separating what he felt was him from the physical actions his body made every day. dissociation is a very common symptom of many emotional disorders. this does not mean he was schizotypal.
i'm just going to reiterate it: OCD. OCD. OCD. OCD. OCD.
i have preached it a million times over and over. the more we over look small behavioral patterns in favor of major, major diagnoses (psycopathy and schizotypy), the more we risk losing intervening at the right time.
read this post i made about why he's just plain wrong about eric being a psychopath. i don't want to keep rambling.
long story short: i see where he is coming from with categorizing dylan. he's a brilliant psychologist and i definitely can see, from his perspective, how he could theorize schizotypy for dylan. for myself, however, it just doesn't seem feasible.
so, to answer your question in short: i don't think categorizing behavior is wrong, but it's very difficult to do right because of the inherent biases we, as humans, researchers, and mental health professional, will always hold. i think it's correct in psychology to create these categories and conduct this kind of research but it is oh-so goddamn important that we do it right!

Greater Marrows new fisherman ponders his abrupt arrival. A horrifying find jars him from his thoughts.
(Based off the start of the game so hopefully no spoilers!)
The sun had begun to dip towards the horizon, painting the sky in swathes of yellow and orange. The sea slowly but surely had grown more agitated, now lapping aggressively at the sides of the fishing vessel. I lamented there was only one lousy rod on the loaned ship. It had done the job well enough so far, at least.
With nothing better to do, my mind drifted back to my abrupt arrival. The crash. I couldn’t remember much - the memory was blurred at the edges, distorted. It didn’t make sense. I could handle a boat, couldn’t I? The lighthouse hadn’t pierced the thick fog as it should have. As the mayor had said - “It was shining right at you”. In daylight my new vessel had passed the scene of the accident. The rock wasn’t there anymore. Or maybe it was - no - had it shifted? Damn it. It was as if the ever-present fog had muddied my own mind. The townsfolk almost seemed scared of it. The lighthouse keeper certainly was, the perpetual scowl etched on her face. Or maybe that was just when conversing with me - an outsider. Everyone else had been friendly enough.
I was jarred out of my thoughts by the telltale thrashing of a fish. The blanket of night had crept in - how long had it been? I stumbled towards the line. The catch fought with an unnatural strength and rhythm. Finally, I reeled it in, scarcely believing my eyes, choking on my own breath. The rod landed with a clatter, slamming the writhing thing onto the deck.
It should have been a squid but it wasn’t. Not entirely.
The mantle was intact but it soon ballooned into something grotesque and twisted. Soon the maroon head of the squid became ribbons of flesh, engulfed by a green glowing gelatinous sack. It was a miracle, or perhaps a curse that it was alive. Malformed tendrils writhed beneath it. No tentacles, eyes, or mouth to feed itself. Just a carrier… of… something. The smaller viridescent cores were suspended within a mass of goo. I dared not touch it. The blood - ichor more likely, it was thicker than blood - around the hook was black.
Panic seized my chest. I didn’t know what to do in the face of such an aberration. My face burned with heat despite the cold shards of fear that pierced my lungs with every breath. My ears rang in alarm, head began to throb the more I dared look at it. This was wrong. All wrong. A distant, distorted wail of a foghorn brought me back to my senses. I made an effort to slow my breathing with the rising and falling of the boat, consoling myself with the knowledge I was not far from Greater Marrow. I would return to solid land where I could steady my nerves and get an appraisal of this thing from the fishmonger there. Yes, I would be interested to hear his appraisal. He had asked for an odd fish. Not something like this- I took another steadying breath. It was just a fish, nothing more. As I turned the ship to leave, I saw it had stopped moving. It had died seconds since it was removed from the water and yet it continued to twitch and pulse out the corner of my eye. I doggedly focused on the lights of the town, revving the engine louder than needed to try and drown out my own thoughts. No matter how much it made my skin crawl it was just a fish.
The fishmonger did not seem surprised when the bell announced my arrival. He politely averted his gaze at my state of disarray, bushy eyebrows lowering to cover his eyes. His expression soon shifted when I presented my find to him, hands shaking. He knew I’d found it. This was far from a mere ‘deformity’ as he’d described. I was seized by a pang of guilt. I shouldn’t have given this to him, I shouldn’t have. I knew he intended to eat it. Eat it! He hadn’t been subtle about his intentions at all. I could be killing this man for all I know-
I had scarcely been listening to what the man was saying, his appraisal of it, head bobbing in approval. He picked up the specimen with no fear, feeling it for a moment before bringing a sharp knife to its side and splitting it cleanly in half. Green and black mingled on the wooden counter. An air of morbid curiosity settled as he picked out a square of fabric - a delicately patterned handkerchief, white with crimson thread - from within the sludge. I tried to focus. He paid me generously from the catch, asking I send more of these monstrosities his way should I find them. Bile burned my throat. The world swayed precariously beneath my feet as if I was still at sea.
In the blink of an eye I found myself back in my boat, in bed, suppressing the urge to tremble. I would not be able to sleep if I did not find peace now. Shapes and shadows danced tauntingly across the cabin window, until a man manifested from the darkness. My stomach lurched, the cold shock of fear spreading through my system. His face was entirely obscured by the contrast of the glare from the light inside the cabin against the dark sky and sea. I scrambled to my feet. He leant against the frame, unperturbed by my horror.
“I know what you took to the fishmonger. And I’ll be clear - I know he extracted an artifact from it. I need to inspect it. But not here. Meet me on Blackstone Isle. Head out of this bay and cut South. I have a business proposition for you that you’ll want to hear.”
Suddenly he stepped backwards, the night enveloping him like a cloak. He did not wait to hear my response. His final words rang in my ears, haunting.
“I’ll be waiting.”
Sleep did not find me that night.
