“Darling, please just listen!” The red haired man tried to plead, stumbling as he grabbed your hand and squeezed it. His eyes were pitiful and guilty as his neck had practically the entire rainbow on it from lipstick and kisses that you hadn't given him.

You snatched your hand away, not wanting to feel his flimsy touch against you. You felt infuriated, infuriated with him and with yourself. You let out a shaky sigh as you held back tears, taking a few steps closer to him and backing him into a corner within his own mind. “Why? Why should I listen to a pathetic cheater?” You hissed, understandably unhappy with him.

He frowned and gulped, shaky in the knees as he tried to continue pleading with you. You were his everything, and he was stupid enough to throw that away.

You and Spirit Albarn had been together for about three years at this point, you lived together, you were together and slept together. Imagine your surprise when you found him in bed naked with not one, but two other women. One of which was wearing your underwear as she grinded against him In front of you while moaning, and the other drew circles into his chest with a dainty finger. And how he only seemed to be sorry once he noticed you were in the room.

“Baby please, I promise I'll be better-! Please please please!” He pleaded, practically on the verge of sobbing as he begged for your forgiveness. He couldn't stand to lose another lover due to his arrogant actions, he hated himself for doing this to you. You were like a mother to Maka and you were like a breath of fresh air for him but he threw it all away. You scoffed and let a few tears roll out, but stood your ground. “I'll pack my things and be out by the end of the week.” You spoke through gritted teeth.

All you wanted at this point was for it to be some nightmare, but you knew that it wasn't. You wanted every memory with him gone, you wanted that mental image of those women out of your mind.

Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Request: Hey, do you mind if i request oneshot or headcanon Spirit from soul eater with reader who is his son and Maka's little brother, reader was kind, smart guy but he really suck at fighting? (he is mesiter like Maka he use throwing knives)

Spirit would often be seen hanging around Maka and making attempts at getting her to give him a chance at being a good Dad but given how loud his attempts were people never realised that he had a younger son.

Most of the time it was because his son was very good at hiding himself, he was smart and kind, never stood out in a crowd but he didn’t share the families abilities in fighting, he was more suited to stealth missions or information gathering, he was a meister and his weapons were a set of throwing knives two twin brothers who were physically more imposing then he could ever hope to be.

The day you met the twins everyone was rushing around, you were a year younger than Maka but you were very rarely seen together when you were at school, you tried your hardest to be identified as a separate person to your sister but the only people that had succeeded with so far were the twins who stuck to you like glue. The upperclassman had an exam and most of them were cramming in some last minute studies before everything started, you were trying to weave your way through them when someone knocked you off your feet, Hunter one of the twins caught you setting you back on balance while Levi the other twin reached out, his hand latched onto the wrist the the guy who had just knocked you over “I didn’t hear an apology.” Levi said, his voice light, almost playful. “That’s because I didn’t give one.” The boy answered, trying to tug his arm away instead, Levi pulled him closer twisting his arm up behind his back. “I doubt that you are going to get what you want, little brother.” Hunter smiled as he stepped away from you to stand in front of the boy his brother was holding. “Guys I appreciate the help but this isn’t necessary.” You stepped forward and they both looked at you. “I don’t think that’s true, you know we’ve seen you around-” “You're nice to everyone, no one is nice to you, that’s not fair.” Hunter started the sentence and Levi finished it squeezing at the boy's arm, the boy who had bumped into you turned to look back at you and glared. “Get your freaks under control.” He ordered. “They don’t belong to me.” You informed him “I don’t even know him.” “He’s right!” Levi’s eyes widened as he threw the boy at his older brother and jogged over to you, Hunter caught the boy around the throat but before you could see anything else Levi took up a large portion of your field of vision, now the twins themselves weren’t very muscly but they were tall, taller than average, they would probably hit the 6 foot mark in the next few years but what really scared people was the disconnect between their actions and their personality, they were rarely aggressive with their words and there was always a smile on their faces. “I’m Levi and that’s my brother Hunter, we’re twin throwing knives and you're a meister right?” “Yeah my names-” “(Y/N) we know who you are.” He smiled. “Alright what is going on here?” You recognised your father's voice immediately although the playfulness that was usually directed at you was gone when he addressed others. “I think he was about to apologise to (Y/N) for knocking him off his feet right?” Hunter asked, his arm now looped around the boy's neck as if he were hugging him. “Sorry.” The boy muttered. “No problem.” You answered, Levi and his brother shared a look, Hunter let go of the boy and he scurried away. “You three, Lord Death wants to see you.” Your father said pointing at you and the twins. That was the day that you were paired together and they had never left your side since, even after finding out that you weren’t the best at fighting, even after you explained that they would probably never make it to the level of death scythes.

Levi snapped his fingers in front of your face as you blinked rapidly, focusing back on the present “did you hear me little mouse?” Levi asked. “Huh?” You asked. “Seems our miester is a little preoccupied.” Hunter smiled as he leaned forward on his elbow. “Hmm.” Levi hummed “something going on?” “They’ll call for us soon.” You mumbled and they both frowned. “What are you talking about?” Hunter asked. “They send us out when the others are busy and we all know that the others are busy.” You answered as your father walked into your homeroom and caught your eye gesturing for you to follow him. “Told you.” You mumbled.

Your father led you to Lord Death who briefed you on your mission and sent you on your way. The mission was supposed to be more simple then this but with the number of people here you couldn’t fight them all, you gritted your teeth “Hey little mouse maybe we should just go.” Levi suggested. “That’s probably the best option.” Hunter said, you wanted to argue with them but honestly there was no way that you were going to get out of this alive fighting them head on, so you turned and left the way that you came but when you were a safe distance from the house you were faced with your sister. “How many?” She asked, this was probably the first thing that she had said to you in a couple of days, with all the missions that she was on, you never really crossed paths anymore. “10 maybe 12” You answered. “Head back, we'll take it from here.” She said and you turned away from her as the twins appeared on either side of you and you headed back to the DWMA.

After that mission it was difficult to catch you outside of lessons these days, the only people that really saw you were the twins and that was only because you all lived together but it was your father who came looking for you. He had a key to your house so it was uncommon for him to be there but when he knocked on your door it still made you jump a little. “(Y/N) can I come in?” He asked. “Yeah.” You answered, you were sitting at your desk working through something and when the door opened you didn’t even look up. “What’s going on kid?” He asked as he closed the door behind him. “What? Nothing.” You answered. “Nice try kid… Something is going on?” He asked. “What does it matter? I’m no help out there anyway.” You mumbled. “What does that mean?” Your Dad walked over only stopping when you finally turned to him. “It means you should probably worry about Maka, she’s the one that’s going to save the world.” You informed him. “The world doesn’t need changing.” You could see that he wanted to laugh but thought better of it. “This has something to do with the last mission.” “Why do you bother sending me anywhere?” You asked. “I can’t fight, I can’t help anyone, I’m not worth the effort if you have to send my sister on clean up duty.” “That’s not what that was.” Your father said. “No then enlighten me, I watched her walk in there, she wasn’t even worried about the number, what did you send me for!? To compare, see who’s better, see who’s worth the training?” “Is that what you think?” He asked. “Have you ever thought that we sent you because you are the best stealth miester that we have you and we sent you because we knew that you could get in and out without anyone ever seeing you?” “I-” “You compare yourself to your sister too much and honestly, you are nothing alike, that doesn’t make you better or worse than the other, you are just different and when you work together you are dangerous.” He explained. “Now go out there and talk to your friends, they are worried about you, they feel what you feel so you should explain it to them.” He gently ruffled your hair as you batted him away. “Hey Dad.” You called as he walked towards the door, he looked back at you “Maka might not tell you this but you're pretty amazing you know that?” You asked. “Thanks kid.” He said before disappearing out of the room. You took a deep breath as you looked at the door where you could see the twins sitting in the living room, you knew that you should talk to them so you stood up ready to explain everything and get back to being you were before after all you apparently had a new skill to work on.

I usually hate poetic writings bc most I've read are filled with overdone sentences or metaphors that make no sense but your recent Stein fic was really well done ❤️

see when i read the first sentence my fingers twitched and i was about to rip you to shreds for comin into my inbox like that but THEENNNN i read the rest and was like ‘oh awww🥺’ so i want to sincerely thank you for telling me this, you’re so very sweet 💗 and it means that much more to me bc you mentioned you don’t like works that have a more poetic undertone to it, so the fact you took it upon yourself to say this is just :,))) ig my writing style includes making things sound poetic, whether it was intentional or not.

Day 1 -

SE Spirit Albarn x Reader - Winter Wonderland Proposal

Summary: Now that the Kishin has been released, and tomorrow isn't promised in Death City, Spirit has an important question to ask you.

Warnings: Mentions of death, slight angst, mostly fluff, blended family, step mother!reader, step daughter!maka

You shivered violently, pulling your coat tighter around you as you cast your gaze down at the snowy rooftops below, scanning for Spirit. He'd asked you to meet him after the school day ended on this balcony- maybe you'd come to the wrong one? Or maybe you were earlier than you thought you'd been? You quickly glanced at your watch, confirming that it was, indeed half pasted four, the agreed-upon time. You rolled your eyes. It was just like him to toy with your feelings like this. To run into your classroom, mid-lesson, pull you to the side and whisper in your ear that you just had to meet with him. To promise that he had something important to say. To leave you alone in the snow wondering what could have possibly been so urgent.

"I got hung up, I'm sorry," a nervous voice called from behind you. Spinning on your heels, you found none other than the death sythe himself, palms on his knees, hunched over and panting. "I didn't mean to keep you waiting." A bead of sweat slipped down his temple as you smiled at him.

"I was beginning to think you'd played me again, Spirit." You said slyly, leaning against the balcony railing. "Just like when we were kids." Your words made his stomach churn as he instantly recognized what you were referring to.

When the two of you were young, fresh-faced students of the DWMA, there had been a moment like this. It had been no secret that you'd had a crush on Spirit- everyone knew, including him. He'd asked you to meet him at this very balcony back then, after weeks of late-night studying, interlocked pinkies, and barely-there kisses. Though he never could bring himself to show up, his heart was too heavy, and it was in Kami's soft hands already.

"Right..." he said, halfheartedly. "Sorry about that, by the way..."

"Water under the bridge." you smiled, relieving him a bit. "But, now that you're here, what was so important you had to interrupt my class?"

"W-Well..." he stammered, stepping forward to lean on the railing beside you. "I guess I had an epiphany."

"Wow," you giggled behind your hand. "That's a big word for you, Spirit. What was this epiphany you had?"

Death Sythe blushed a bit at your chiding, clearing his throat into his fist before continuing. "I've come to realize that the world is ending."

You couldn't stifle your laughter, snorting at his ultra-serious, puffy-cheeked face. "Is that all?" you jeered playfully. "I always knew you tended to catastrophize, but I didn't know it was so bad!"

"(Y-Y/N), please..." he shriveled before you, embarrassed under your joy. "Let me finish..."

You began to come off your laughing fit, wiping a tear from your eye. "Go ahead, Spirit, out with it."

After taking in and expelling a deep breath, he humbly began to speak again. "It really does feel like the world is ending. The Kishin is out on the loose, everyone is in danger, I'm divorced, and my own daughter hates me."

Your smile instantly faltered and you laid a hand on your friend's shoulder. "Don't worry about the Kishin, we'll find him and get rid of him for good this time, I know we will. And Maka doesn't hate you, she loves you, she just-" You paused for a moment, finding yourself speeding into a topic you didn't want to get into. "She wants a reason to admire you, despite your flaws. Stand up, dust yourself off, and fight, Spirit. Give Maka a reason to be proud of you."

"If Maka admires anyone, it's you," he suddenly smiled sadly. "She wants to be strong like you."

"Well, that's very sweet," you replied weakly, choking back the tears of a warmed heart. "But that little girl has more strength in her pinky finger than I have in my entire body. She's your daughter after all."

"She could be your daughter too," Spirit confessed, a bit too quickly.

"W-What?" you stuttered, stepping back a bit in surprise. "What do you mean by that...?"

"I think you know..." he replied, straightening his back and stepping closer to you. Reaching out, he collected your hands in his and gazed deeply into your eyes. "With the Kishin free, none of us know what the future will look like, and every day, I'm becoming more and more aware that, even if we all somehow make it out of this unscathed, nothing will ever be the same."

"Spirit..." you muttered, at a loss for words.

"But I think that sometimes change is good." Sighing, he pulled you closer, close enough to sell the years catching in your lashes. "I promised Maka I wouldn't jump into another marriage but, that girl needs a mother, one that's present in more than just postcards. She needs a woman to confide in, to admire. She needs you." he paused, taking another sharp breath after his initial schpeel. "I need you. I know I've never been good to you, and we're not even in a relationship but..."

"But...?" you repeated breathlessly, watching him let you go, taking a step back and folding onto his knee, pulling something from his pocket.

"After we kill the Kishin, after the world ends and starts over again, will you marry me?" Sapphire eyes bore into you expectantly as he offered you a humble gold band with a single precious stone in the center.

Slowly, you too sank to your knees, falling into his chest without answering. "Do you promise to be true?" you sobbed into his dress shirt. "We'll be together?"

"I swear it, (Y/N)." he replied, wrapping you up in his arms, softly petting your hair. "I swear on my life."

"And Maka...?" you sniffled, glancing up at him.

"I already asked her," he grinned, plashing you that smile that always gave you butterflies as a girl. "She wants to be your maid of honor."

"Then yes!" you cried, nuzzling into him for a moment before pulling back to allow him to slip the ring over your finger. "I would love to marry you, Spirit."

For what felt like the first official time, your lips crashed to his in an emotional, loving, excited kiss as he held you until you felt the need to pull away again. "I love you..." you whispered. "And I can't wait until this is all over."

"I love you too, (Y/N)," he smirked, standing up and pulling you along with him. "Or should I call you Mrs. Albarn?"

Cuddling with Spirit and Stein would include

Stein:

- He's most likely a big spoon (Mans tall, so he's going to hold you)

- Usually, when you guys are cuddling, you're fast asleep laying on his chest while he reads over experiments or student essays

- If you talk in your sleep, he finds it adorable

- He'll even write it down, so he always has it

- Loves when you play with his hair when you guys cuddle

- You'll have a lengthy discussion while laying together

- His favorite part of the day is cuddling with you

- He's always got his arm around you to have you close to him because man is touch starved

Spirit:

- He's a switch between a little and big spoon

- Sometimes he likes to hold you and keep you safe, and sometimes he likes to cuddle up to you when he's sad or stressed

🔪 You're pretty cute and nice towards Maka, what more is there to like? Oh yeah, your personality.

🔪 It isn't until after he chases after you and pursues you, after he learns your personality and begins to like you, then you accept his advances.

🔪 Good thing he earned your trust too, or else you would've gone to Lord Death with a harassment charge.

added to this rq because you being stein's kid just makes so much sense also it's been a while so if i mess up the canonical sequence...oopsies

being Stein's daughter you're almost an exact replica of him

you're a meister, have crazy good control over your wavelength for your age but also

you're kind of insane.

weather you were already attending the academy or if you joined after Stein became a teacher you were paired with literally anyone because of your flexible soul much like your dad's

you and Maka became quick friends, being some of the top meisters in your class and also being part of the children of single fathers club

since your soul was very flexible, not only could you match wavelengths with almost any weapon but it was very easy to get along with people

which is what initially drew Maka to you

but also, there was something weird about your soul she couldn't quite put her finger on

Spirit has mixed feelings about the two of you being friends

he's like aww my daughter is friends with Stein's daughter but also MY DAUGHTER IS FRIENDS WITH STEINS DAUGHTER

but Maka couldn't gaf about his opinion on you

when she found out you were Stein's daughter she actually could not believe it

until she saw you in action that is.

the way you're able to channel your soul wavelength so effortlessly and counter the wavelength of other's really helped her put 2 and 2 together

but unlike your dad, your movements were a lot less calculated and much more erratic and aggressive

it isn't until later that she realizes that weird part of your soul was caused by inherent madness

during the whole witchy release of the kishin thing both you and your father start to slip

you begin to get all loopy and stuff and it's like a couple of screws have gone loose (HAHA GET IT? SCREWS LOOSE? CAUSE STEIN IS YOUR DAD? HA..haha.....hah)

so yeah she notices this and it also starts affecting her too because of how close you two are all the time and the black blood and yeah

buttttttt after she fights Crona and learns to go into madness then come back it's a lot easier for her to withstand your madness but also keep you grounded

you know how Marie was assigned to Stein because her wavelength would supposedly keep him down to earth? yeah well that's kind of what Maka does despite the both of you being meisters

im going to be cheesy and say that your guys' relationship is so strong that she keeps you from losing yourself to the kishin

you are high strung and crazy while Maka is your rock

you guys are like sodium and chlorine you balance each other out <3
