can i request headcanons of any hxh characters your choice (preferably including illumi, chrollo, and/or feitan) with a crush on/unestablished relationship with a gender neutral reader who refuses to fully align themselves with anyone but has an incredibly OP ability that requires their blood or body (can shoot blood in like spikes, detach their limbs to chase down and drag back runners, use their blood and/or tears to heal wounds, can just regrow lost limbs including their head, ect.) that would make being on their bad side more trouble then it's worth

so every fight they kind of /have/ to get injured to use it. Plus their ability weirdly doesn't seem to use nen (chrollo can't copy it and gyo doesn't show anything, ect.)

and when they're finally asked about it they're casually like "oh yeah, I'm not human. I was actually created to be an unstoppable force that infects and destroys humanity, but that's honestly too much work. Plus you give me snacks so I'd rather just hit whoever you tell me to." and their reactions to the fact this insanely overpowered goober they've fallen for is a stray shapeshifting little abomination who could have murdered the entire human race and that they're lowkey lucky reader likes getting bribed them so much

Illumi Zoldyck

the way you met Illumi was... not ideal to say the least

he was on a job to kill some scientist guy but little did he know scientist guy had quite literally created a monster

the day he was going to do his mission happened to be the day your power was finally realized

annnndddd Illumi walked in on you killing scientist guy and literally everyone else who worked for him

you had managed to pop your arms off and launch them like missiles, turn your blood into weapons and spikes around the room and also not die????? and grow your limbs back???????????

the weird part was Illumi couldn't sense any of your aura at all

he just assumed you were a super advanced nen user and were able to still keep up hatsu really well while fighting

which led him to the conclusion that he should either A. run away or B. try and get you on his side

when you noticed him just standing there you turned to stare at him like come at me bitch

"So? Are you here to poke me with more needles like the others? It won't end very well." "Actually I was here for the guy in the lab coat, but it seems like you did the job for me."

realizing he wasn't a threat (or trying to be because you know...you cant die) you let down your guard down

you ended up just following him around after that, not really having anywhere else to go so Illumi decided on plan B

turns out it took a lot less manipulating than he thought

he brought you to the estate and you agreed to help him with whatever for a popeyes chicken sandwich

watching how you wandered around the estate aimlessly and lounged about Illumi quickly realized you only use your abilities when threatened or bribed

so you become his personal little treat fueled killing machine

he takes you on missions with him because he doesn't trust you alone at the estate...

eventually he asks you about how your hatsu is so good and you're like wtf is that

and he's like What.

you tell him you we're pretty much created in that lab and they did all these tests and stuff and you didn't even really know how or why you had the power you did but you found out you did the day you met

and you were all like "they were so annoying and they told me to do stuff for free, I'd never kill you though you feed me :3"

he is so glad you are clueless and he got to you before anyone else because you could take over the entire world if you really wanted to

he is going to marry you ASAP

but again, you being clueless did not understand what marriage entails

and you agreed for the same reasons you agreed to literally anything else this man has asked of you

you are Illumi's most prized possession and no matter how freaky you are, he really does cherish you as normal people would their spouse

Chrollo Lucilfer

running into you on a heist was definitely unexpected

especially since you looked like you just got out of captivity

mistaking him for an enemy you shot your fist off at him and barely missed

and he was like woah im not an opp dw

then your hand grows back and hes like !?

he asked why you were there you explain that you were some sort of war weapon yada yada yada the guys got annoying you killed them and yeah

and Chrollo offers you to come back w him and the troupe and you're like sure if you feed me

so after the heist is over Chrollo takes you back to Phantom Troupe hq and then talks with the gang blah blah blah dismisses everyone and then takes you to wherever the hell and buys you whatever you want to eat

and while you're stuffing your face bro is like

"Your powers are pretty impressive. Mind telling me how they work?"

and not caring you tell him, mainly focused on your meal

and he's like huh what a useful ability time to steal it

one thing leads to another and he somehow gets you to touch his weird book and when he flips to where your nen should be the page is blank and he is insanely confused

and hes like "Why didn't my nen ability work on you?"

and you're like wtf is nen

and hes like oh my god I don't think this thing is human

so he asks

and you're like "I literally told you I'm a war weapon. A weapon created for war, but that's too much work."

now he is confused but also intrigued

he offers for you to join the troupe and you're like

"But being in a gang is so much wooorrrkkkkkuuuuhhhh"

you can literally destroy man kind but you don't because you're LAZY!?

you're not officially part of the troupe but you're practically an honorary member because you follow Chrollo around after your first encounter

and he decides it 's better than nothing

Feitan Portor

I can't think of a clever way for you guys to meet LMAO

umm uhhh idk maybe you were created to take out the chimera ants and happened to get deployed in meteor city the same time the troupe was hunting down the 'queen'

so when the troupe got there you were already fighting some ants

you look human enough but your abilities make Feitan think you might not be

soooo he tries attacking you before he ended up getting to the lizzard ant crocodile lady thing i don't remember what she was

and he couldn't beat you and you're like wtf do you want from me I'm trying to do my job

and hes like ??? you're not an ant?

and youre like no

and hes like oh and leaves you alone

then he throws the entire sun at the ant lady and leaves the building

he kinda forgot about you until he felts something lift the back of his cloak

and he's like !!?!?!??!

and he looks behind him to see you crawled under his coat and took the snacks he hides under there for himself

and he's like what the fuck

how did you even know he had those???? (you could smell it because you have super enhanced everything)

ok i just remembered his cloak got destroyed in this scene but pretend it didn't

anyways he snatches the bottom of it away from you and tries taking the snacks back out of your hands but you are quick to dodge

he's irritated but he just lets you have them he's too tired to deal with this

you end up following him after this like a lost puppy and the rest of the troupe is like ??????

but they can't get rid of you

and on the way out of meteor city you were like yap yap yap weapon yap yap created in a lab yap yap yap immortal

feitan could not care less about what you had to say but he was like ??? to the immortal thing

maybe you weren't a bad thing to keep around

the first time Leorio realized you were kinda weird is when one day you were walking down the street and saw some roadkill

and you were like "aww too bad, the skin and bones are too damaged to harvest"

"if you died i'd taxidermy you and re-articulate your skeleton so you'd be with me forever <3"

when he comes to your house for the first time and sees a bunch of bones, animal skins and wet specimens he damn near passes the fuck out

how do you just casually have dead things and remains around your house!?

whatever drew Illumi to you had to have been some type of power

aside from that power, to Illumi you were relatively normal and had a good grip on your emotions which made you a perfect candidate

that being said he could care less what your job was, you'd just end up working for or with him eventually

when he started bringing you around the estate, you often sought out their guard dog Mike and Illumi couldn't think of why

that is until you came back one day with a human femur and bright smile on your face

"... where did you even get that?" "From one of Mike's victims. If I collect enough I could make a whole set of bar stools!"

he blinked at you and chose to ignore your statement

i mean, to each their own am i right?

so you have ah hobby, big deal

Illumi just thinks you're pretty normal personality wise until you randomly but casually drop information about what you do in your free time or have in your home

so now whenever he has a job Illumi calls you in for cleanup

you get to do.... whatever it is you do and there's no evidence of a dead body left behind, it's a win win

Chrollo Lucilfer

he couldn't care less what your job is because it's probably not worse than his 😭

he didn't really notice anything "morbid" about you until he asked about your jewlery

you wore things like resin caster bug pendants or bird skull earrings and stuff

he just assumed they were fake and you bought them because they looked badass

but then you told him you make it all YOURSELF

he is intrigued

he doesn't really question you past that because you were probably buying the bones and stuff somewhere (spoiler alert you're not)

what really caused him to think was when you casually just picked up a dead rat off the floor in some abandoned building you were exploring and suck it in your pocket

bro was so confused

"What do you need that for?" "To make a new necklace :3"

yeah now he knows that your odd taste in jewelry goes deeper than just that

he won't judge you though, if anything you're a better person than he is considering you don't kill things yourself

he is literally a murderer and a thief and has committed like 3467633788 crimes so he couldn't judge even if he wanted to

so now when he sees dead animals and what not he bags them up and brings them to you

he likes to sit in on your cleaning and making process

you seem like a perfectly normal and sweet person to everyone else but Chrollo knows about your freaky little hobby and it just makes him like you even more

Feitan Portor

I feel like for you and Feitan to even be acquainted you have to be part of the troupe

whatever you do outside of it is your business

buttttttt since you are his s/o and Feitan is probably homeless he crashes wherever you are

thus him finding out about your hobby and other job

out of everyone on this list he is the most interested

he too is a morbid little freak

he goes with you to find things and will help you with the cleaning/taxidermy or whatever process if you let him

what he doesn't understand though is why you don't just kill the things you want instead of hunting for already dead things

sometimes he will go catch like a squirrel or something and bring it back to you like a cat and tell you he found it like that

made this college au bc thats the direction my brain went i hope thats ok >.<

Chrollo had always been intrigued by you

before you even started dating he's seen you around campus, often times arriving to school on your motorcycle

he thought you were seriously badass

but to him you were out of his league

why would someone as cool as you be even remotely interested in some bookworm philosophy major?

but lucky for him, you ended up formally meeting through a mutual friend

you both really hit it off at some house party Uvogin was throwing and that's how you guys ended up going on your first date

it was relatively normal, the both of you had met at a local cafe and talked about your interests and all that jazz but one detail you left out was your affinity for drifting, racing and cars

by the time the third date rolls around you insist on picking Chrollo up

he was unsure as of why but he just let it happen

another thing he was unsure of is why you scheduled this date really late at night

but when you pulled up to his apartment in this souped up sports car he was more confused about how you were even to afford all of that while being a college student

when you pulled off of the main road and into a clearing not too far out from the city he just got even more confused

"uh, were exactly are we going?" "You'll see"

after a little longer you guys saw a group of other parked sports cars and two large crowds on either side of a makeshift racetrack

before Chrollo could even fully process what was going on, you already pulled up next to this other car and there was some lady with a flag standing in front of you guys

and 3...2...1...GO! ZOOM YOU TAKE OFF AND CHROLLO IS LOSING HIS SHIT HE DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS SHIT!

you are speeding and drifting and racing this random guy, just doing your thing meanwhile Chrollo is screaming the entire time and gripping on his seat for dear life

after like an hour and a half of this madness it finally ends and you won the race yayyy

Chrollo was out of breath and could barely keep up with his own thoughts while you were already getting out of the car and claiming some sort of prize

when you get back in the car and start it back up is when he finally snaps his head towards you

"You're crazy!!...I kinda like that."

anyways you begin dating yayyy

and you always insist on doing all the driving just because you like cars so much

and Chrollo lets you because it saves him gas money but like...never race with him in the car again

he will go with you to whatever meets you want just let him out the car where he can watch semi safely from the sidelines

one day when he got into your car he noticed a sticker on the front of the dash that read "passenger princess" in pink fancy lettering

he bursts out laughing at this and its not like he can even deny it

you also bought Chrollo his own helmet for days you decide you want to ride your motorcycle

he is much more afraid of the motorcycle than your car and he refuses to ride it unless he knows for sure that what you're planning is something tame

but even if you do lie to him and take him somewhere to speed and race and drift and all of that the adrenaline makes you more attractive to him so he'll forgive you every time anyways

being Stein's daughter you're almost an exact replica of him

you're a meister, have crazy good control over your wavelength for your age but also

you're kind of insane.

weather you were already attending the academy or if you joined after Stein became a teacher you were paired with literally anyone because of your flexible soul much like your dad's

you and Maka became quick friends, being some of the top meisters in your class and also being part of the children of single fathers club

since your soul was very flexible, not only could you match wavelengths with almost any weapon but it was very easy to get along with people

which is what initially drew Maka to you

but also, there was something weird about your soul she couldn't quite put her finger on

Spirit has mixed feelings about the two of you being friends

he's like aww my daughter is friends with Stein's daughter but also MY DAUGHTER IS FRIENDS WITH STEINS DAUGHTER

but Maka couldn't gaf about his opinion on you

when she found out you were Stein's daughter she actually could not believe it

until she saw you in action that is.

the way you're able to channel your soul wavelength so effortlessly and counter the wavelength of other's really helped her put 2 and 2 together

but unlike your dad, your movements were a lot less calculated and much more erratic and aggressive

it isn't until later that she realizes that weird part of your soul was caused by inherent madness

during the whole witchy release of the kishin thing both you and your father start to slip

you begin to get all loopy and stuff and it's like a couple of screws have gone loose (HAHA GET IT? SCREWS LOOSE? CAUSE STEIN IS YOUR DAD? HA..haha.....hah)

so yeah she notices this and it also starts affecting her too because of how close you two are all the time and the black blood and yeah

buttttttt after she fights Crona and learns to go into madness then come back it's a lot easier for her to withstand your madness but also keep you grounded

you know how Marie was assigned to Stein because her wavelength would supposedly keep him down to earth? yeah well that's kind of what Maka does despite the both of you being meisters

im going to be cheesy and say that your guys' relationship is so strong that she keeps you from losing yourself to the kishin

Dawg I just wanna thank you for writing stuff for kurapika x reader in general, cuz that tag is dead (has been for a while) and nothing new besides rape and/or yandere pops up there 😭😭

U don’t have to (cuz let’s be honest, it’s kinda cringey 💀) but smth that’s almost always on my mind when thinking abt kurapika is him with a fem!kurta! Reader who’s a survivor. Him being stressed to hell and back makes me sad so I typically think of reader being a specialist (man do I love me some strong women-) who can take care of herself. since all of the Kurta have the same eye's I am assuming that means everyone in the clan save for those married into it are somewhat related

regardless he treats you like a sister (if that's not what you wanted sry)

that being said, when you say you want to help him get back the eyes of your brethren he's very hesitant

he tries keeping you away from the violent part of getting rid of the phantom troupe as much as possible

he understands if you have different morals but nothing you say is going to stop him from killing the members of the phantom troupe

i have no clue what he does with the eyes after getting them back(or if he does at all, it's been a while) but you guys kinda just have them????

but anyways lets say somehow Kurapika is losing a fight somewhere and out of nowhere

he doesn't really pay much mind to your height

it doesn't bother him or anything and its not like he could change your genetics

he's a huge help though

if you can't reach something he'll grab it for you and makes sure there's a stool in the house for times he's not around

Kurapika is around average height (some people still think 5'7 is short for a guy tho) sooo sometimes he needs the stool tool... (for some reason the kitchen cabinets in my house are SO HIGH UP)

Leorio Paladaknight

he's the tallest one out of all the characters on this list soo good luck

he's also the biggest tease about it too

he likes to lean his arm on the top of your head, pretend not to see you when you call him or hold things over your head and watch you jump for them

it's annoying. kick him in the shins.

sometimes when you try to give him kisses he likes to stand as straight as possible so you either have to climb him somehow or make him double over in pain lean down

Illumi Zoldyck

he's about a foot (if not more) taller than you so he will quite literally look over you

not even in a teasing way or anything he just genuinely did not see you

tbh he has no interest in you like at all unless you have some sort of ability or skill that makes up for your lack in height 🧍‍♂️

sooo being his s/o you've found a way to use your height to your advantage when it comes to combat

Illumi dates to marry and eventually have kids so if you're capable of birth he really really hopes his kids do NOT get the short gene 😭

Feitan Porter

Feitan is already only like 5'1 so if you're STILL shorter than that...I have no words

he doesn't give you shit for being short since he can relate to you

if anyone makes fun of either of you for your height he will beat them up

Kurapika normally wasn't the jealous type

he trusted that you were faithful, and you never bothered him about the women he worked with so who is he to tell you who to be friends with?

but this time... something in particular ticked him off

the two of you were walking around the city together, spending some much needed quality time together when some guy bumps into you

once you and the stranger recognized each other you got so excited and Kurapika concluded the two of you were old friends

this alone didn't bother him, however the way your friend pushed him aside and wrapped an arm around your shoulder did

you decided to invite this mystery man to go get lunch with you and Kurapika, completely forgetting about the blonde momentarily which made his eye twitch

he cleared his throat, catching your attention

"Oh, how rude of me! This is Lenny one of my childhood friends, and Leo this is Kurapika. He's-" "Her boyfriend."

he gave Leo a firm handshake and a hardened look that he didn't seem to pick up on

you guys all headed to a nice cozy restaurant and before he even had a chance to sit down Leo was already next to you

he begrudgingly sat down across from the two of you while you babbled on about things that happened in your childhood and whatnot

poor Kurapika was feeling left out :((

when the food came out he no longer had an appetite and just poked around his salad

what really got to him was watching the two of you feed each other

Leo was clueless, but you noticing the change in your boyfriend's behavior excused yourself from the table to go after him

you found him leaning against the side of the building with a hand pinching the bridge of his nose

you stood confused for a moment before you felt his arms wrap around you and his face rested in the crook of your neck

"I can't stand seeing you give someone else so much attention."

now everything finally clicked for you

your poor baby was jealous

you let out a giggle at this before returning his embraced

well now Kurapika just felt silly for jumping to conclusions

Warnings: canon typical violence? also for the purpose of being "feminine" reader has long hair and wears a skirt i imagine reader being in eglfashion but you don't have to it was just the first thing that came to mind

Illumi wasn't too sure what it was but there was something about a certain contestant in the hunter exams that happened to catch his eye. Perhaps it was the way they looked so out of place, seemingly to dainty and delicate for an exam such as this.

You looked as though you should be home in your father's castle, reading in a garden or something. Maybe your elegance is what drew Illumi to you. Your long flowing hair and the cute skirt you chose to wear was something Illumi could appreciate, as he too liked to dress his best.

During the fourth phase of the exam, Illumi awoke from his slumber earlier than he had anticipated. Having nothing better to do, he decides to seek you out, curious as to how you've managed to hold up this long. To quell his own curiosity he decided to watch you.

From afar of course.

He sat high up in a tree and spotted you sitting by the river, watching the fish and how the water flowed downstream. This was a gorgeous scene to the assassin, though he could not explain why. Yes nature is beautiful and yes there was no doubt that you were easy on the eyes but there's no way that Illumi could be attracted to you, right? It's not a feeling a good assassin should have. So, ignoring the way his heart tells him to approach you and wanting to get to know you he continues to watch from above, boiling these feelings down to simple curiosity.

Through his observations, Illumi noticed something different about you. He had realized he's never once heard you speak and you were awfully flat chested for a woman. After some time he brushed these thoughts off, he hadn't spent any time close enough to you to hear you speak and your cup size was simply just none of his business. The faintest sound of rustling leaves coming from the bushes below caught both your and Illumi's attention.

You snapped your head in the direction of the sound just in time to see some rando jump out at you. You swiftly dodge their attack, hitting them on the back of the neck and watching them fall to the ground, paralyzed. You could only assume that they drew your number at the beginning of the phase. You had already collected all the points you needed, but decided to take any badges off of the person before you.

"I don't really need these, but you tried attacking me and I don't like that very much. And it was a lousy attempt at that," you scoff, standing up and holding the two badges you just pulled out of their vest.

Illumi both heard and watched the scene unfold, now knowing what your voice sounds like. Again, it was quite odd for a woman.

"Oh and you can stop watching me now," you speak up again, looking up towards Illumi's spot in the tree.

He was impressed to say the least. Managing to notice the eldest of the Zoldyck children was a feat of its own but you had somehow known since the beginning. Maybe if he was attracted to you, which by the way he totally isn't, it wouldn't be so bad. You could be a fine addition to the family.

Having been caught, he jumped down from his spot in the tree and stood to face you.

"Nice work. You took out your opponent with a single blow and managed to notice me despite my concealed presence," he complimented.

"I know my way around the human body. And as for you," you say, looking him up and down. "I just happen to be very vigilant."

Now that he had gotten a chance to speak to you and has seen the smallest glimpse of what you're capable of, Illumi decides to cut to the chase. Despite you being a complete stranger, he had deemed you worthy enough to bring you to Kukuroo mountain and watch your attempt at the testing gates. His mother would be happy to find out that he had found a potential suitor. If anything were to go wrong Illumi was confident that you wouldn't be able to take him on, let alone the entire family.

"Why don't you come back home with me after this is all over. Assuming you survive, of course."

Your eyes widen slightly at his straightforwardness before you let out a laugh and offer your answer.

"Sure thing pretty boy but there's one thing you should know first. I'm a man."

Illumi's brain flat lines at those 3 simple words and all he can let out is a confused "Oh."

Those weird things he noticed about you now made sense. This wasn't the worst thing ever considering he was already technically married to Hisoka(a man) for business. And from what Illumi can tell you're strong and have a good sense of fashion, meaning his mother would like you. The only possible issue in pursuing you was that the two of you probably wouldn't be able to have biological children.

While Illumi was having an inner battle, you caress his shoulder as you walked away.

"I'll leave you to think about that for a while."

A shock traveled down his spine as he stood, finally coming to a decision.

Fuck it, I'll make it work.

but what he couldn't understand was why you were so mean to him

he doesn't think he's done anything wrong to you and really wishes you would just tell him if he did

he's under the impression you just don't like him and chalks it up to him being "asymmetrical garbage" :(((

after a week or so of him sulking Liz gets sick of his shit and tells him it's actually the exact opposite

but Kid never listens to her does he

so she calls an emergency Girls (+ Kid) meeting

Maka tells him "They're mean to you because they like you. It might be because they have a hard time expressing it otherwise."

and Tsubaki is like "There's a word for that in Japanese. They're called Tsunderes!"

and with that one word everything finally clicks for Kid

all the times you've snapped at him or made sassy comments with a red face wasn't out of anger

you were blushing

he's a lot less butthurt about it now that he's got you all figured out

every time you say something snappy he's like :3 cus he knows you dont mean it

sometimes he likes to respond a certain way to see you get flustered

and one day he decides to confess so suave omgg

"You're an idiot." "An idiot who wants to take you out."

is he a little embarassed? yes but he already has confirmation you like him back and the way you're quick to turn away from him confirms it

but yeah now that he see's past your facade you are dating and so happy yayy

he doesn't mind your 'tsundere' behavior all too much after that
