spinneraki fic where they become roommates and it sparks the most insane "Am I the Asshole?" reddit story hero society has ever seen.

It starts with Kurogiri being captured before the canon story starts and AFO sends Shigaraki to a safe house out in the boonies. Giran owns the safe house, and since he never thought it would be used he rented it out to one of the locals, Spinner.

Shigaraki enters, already pissed, and there's just some guy there.

Spinner is innocently playing GTA when a villain breaks into his house and starts screaming about how he shouldn't be there. He takes to the internet asking for advice, and if he's the asshole for staying in the villain's house unknowingly. He is met with a myriad of responses, most of which consisting of "what the fuck dude call the police", but Spinner ignores these sane responses because "actually i think hes pretty cool for being a terrorist."

Shigaraki and Spinner slowly learn how to live with each other, and the original reddit post is given plenty of updates. People especially freak out when Spinner reveals that Shigaraki has been attacking him, but Spinner theorizes that "he's testing my strength and skill set". This theory ends up having merit when Spinner gets the drop on Shigaraki, and he says he's proud of Spinner.

So, they're sort of friends?

Spinner notices Shigaraki is a bit sheltered and hasn't experienced tons of the outside world. Spinner takes him out to arcades, festivals, all sorts of things with the intention of broadening his sort-of-friend's horizons, but any outsider would think they're on a date.

While spinneraki is learning how to tolerate each other, Kurogiri was spilling AFO's secrets. His DNA was matched with Shirakumo's, and Eraserhead and Present Mic have stuck by his side as he's been deprogrammed. The result of this is AFO flailing around trying to keep his villain organization together but failing miserably. He's been rather sparse with keeping in touch with Shigaraki, so Shigaraki has unlocked free thinking.

This comes to a head when Shigaraki is playing Minecraft and has a moral crisis over killing a baby sheep. He ends up naming the sheep "Red Pill" and firmly decides that murder is bad, actually.

Spinneraki share their first kiss when Spinner wins Shigaraki a stuffed Minecraft sheep from a claw machine. Spinner's now large reddit fanbase goes insane over the update.

Alright, latest chapter’s out and it’s discussing a very heavy and serious topic; heteromorphic discrimination (which is a blatant allegory for general racism, now more than ever). Which is why seeing people simplifying a lot of the arguments presented down by saying things like the heteromorphs using their oppression to just justify violence or that this prejudice isn’t as bad anymore is…a tad concerning. So time to do my duty as a League stan and play Villain’s advocate.

First; the idea that they’re just rampaging pointlessly to vent their rage and justifying it with past oppression. This is an especially idiotic take when Spinner keeps mentioning how they’re here for Kurogiri, something at least Present Mic knows as well. And I’ve mentioned more than a few times how Kurogiri is basically the only one with any chance of turning this war around from an otherwise 100% certain hero victory. So if these people are, in fact, putting their hopes in Shigaraki and Spinner to change things; then far from aimless rioting, this attack is the only strategically viable move they could’ve made.

Next is the idea of things not being so bad that they need to put their hopes in Shigaraki; a weird claim to make (even ignoring how real world parallels make it laughable) when this same chapter gave multiple people revealed to be scared for heteromorphic quirks. Including Shoji. To say nothing of the existence of the CRC.

And just in general; whenever you might look at a villain’s motivations rooted in some way the setting sucks and be tempted to say “oh things can’t be that bad”, they are. Pretty much every time. The only exceptions I can ever really think of belong to people who became heroes and escaped the sucky-ness with the position’s celebrity status. Which, like, is good enough for guys like Shinsou or Shoji I guess; but I don’t think there are enough open positions for the 15,000 people here to use that method.

And I already shared my initial thoughts on this; but even Shoji’s own call-outs feel unfair and ignorant of the circumstances. Like, saying they’re not considering the safety of the hospital patients when the heroes evacuated them last war? What, is he seriously expecting the villains to evacuate this hospital then? How would that even work? Heck, the heroes only evacuated the hospital after they entered in (obviously), but are any of the villains even in the Central Hospital yet? This feels like calling the villains out for killing their opponents instead of sending them to jail like the heroes do while ignoring the question of what jail they’d send them too. What other option were they expected to take besides leaving Kurogiri to rot?

Also, just want to point out that the heroes are the ones who took Kurogiri from Tartarus to put him deep in a building surrounded by the civilians Shoji is calling Spinner out for not considering. So who’s endangering the civilians here? Because the villains don’t exactly have many options low in collateral, but the heroes do and they choose to bring a high-profile villain to a civilian hospital knowing the chances that other villains would come for him.

Shuichi was unceremoniously shoved onto a bar stool, its faux leather surface slightly peeling. His eyes widened as Shigaraki slammed a battered, metallic first-aid kit onto the bar with a heavy thud. The contents rattled inside, and the kit skidded a few inches before stopping.

"Tomura," Kurogiri began cautiously. He paused his meticulous act of wiping down a glass, setting it down gently onto a shelf filled with dusty liquor bottles.

Shigaraki cut him off, his lips pulling back in a snarl. "I can do it!" He snapped, yanking open the kit so forcefully that a roll of bandages tumbled out and unspooled across the dark, mahogany bar counter.

Chapter 3: The Heart and the Home

Summary: Tomura has found his perfect place, but it's not quite *perfect* just yet. It's still missing a few things... or a few someones, rather.

Excerpt:

“Magne,” he said, pushing her back so they could talk, “You helped me, didn’t you? When All For One had broken me. You helped me pull myself back together. But it wasn’t just you, right? Jin was there.”

She nodded, taking off her sunglasses and wiping her eyes. “That’s right.”

Tomura swallowed the lump in his throat. “Can I… Can I go see him?” He wasn’t sure of the rules yet. Things seemed so nice. There had to be a catch somewhere, and maybe that catch was that he wouldn’t be allowed to leave. “I want to talk to him too. Where is he staying?”

Magne’s expression fell and Tomura felt sick. There it was. He was trapped in a gilded cage. “Oh sweetie, of course you can. But he’s not here right now. Not on this side.”

Unexpected. “What? Why not?”

“He’s with Himiko. She needs him like you needed us, or, I guess…” Her eyes went to Mon, sitting patiently beside Tomura, “Maybe more like you needed Mon.”

Tomura felt all the color drain from his face. “No.”

“Sugar—”

“No!” Tomura’s body was moving before his mind had caught up, already at the door, reaching for the black coat that had appeared beside it. “No! Midoriya promised to look after them for me! I can’t let them be hurt anymore! It’s not fair! I don’t give a shit if I’m dead or not, I will not let that crapsack world chew up any more of my friends!”

He opened the door, whistled for Mon, and left.

just played some Case Files with LoV part in it and just thought about a giant project like "every LoV filler ever in ANY media"

like games, manga (including those SMASH!! pages) or irl events (like ONE of LoV seyuu playing as LoV without any real footage of it) and most importantly - Ultra Impact events, but sadly I don't have ALL of them of at least I can't share jp server events that I know at least one happened before global started

I'm not that good with knowing what Ultra Rumble has as something special other than emotes, some phrases or outfits and I don't exactly play it

One's Justice 2 (the one Horikoshi named chapter with Hawks and Twice after) on the other hand has literally tons of interactions from just battle things and recruit talks that depend on your trust of something level to Arcade where defeat and a win give you a mini dialogue and LoV has levels with each other

the only problem with the latter is that I either did level them all up too much already and it would be a pain to lose progress or I'm not really interested in doing already hard to make screenshots one by one FOR EVERY SINGLE LOV FIGHT twice.

But since I've never found actual archive of those things aside from occasional video of Plus Ultra attacks or voicelines without any subtitles for jp vers or again Plus Ultra attacks only for the new characters... that's either worthless or it doesn't matter as much

Still! While 1-A class fillers and stories are so easy to find - literally in the novels or 90% of SMASH!! and Team-Up Missions (and I saw one thing that suspiciosly had LoV in there but still looking through it) while anything semi-canon or at least that can be considered such with LoV is either serves it's purpose in the final arc of the manga now or is actually hard to find since wiki doesn't actually keep up with the official games

maybe it's just an excuse to show little things that Ultra Impact keeps as it's canon for events like Tomura being good at poker and it first was in his "holiday story" and then it appeared in the event much later chronologically with MLA already working with LoV

Also if I remember correctly there are multiple vids with LoV somewhat main point of focus and there are still cool (like that one part of Peace Sign with villains suddenly being there for couple of seconds)

but meh... it's still just 1 am thoughts mostly
