Hear me out. I've been watching the episodes of the 80s cartoon show Rainbow Brite. In episodes 1 and 2, you can safely assume she's a magical human child in outer space, right? Then comes episode 3! In episode 3, she interacts with a human boy from Earth, and he looks completely different from RB and the color kids. He's taller, thinner, more normally proportionate, smaller head. So, if THAT'S what humans look like in RB's universe, she and the Color Kids clearly aren't human! So what are they? I think they're Space Dwarves! They're built shorter and wider than human children. They have magic powers. They live on another planet that connects to Earth through the use of rainbows. They mine crystals with the sprites. They're SPACE DWARVES!
imperium: we can’t use AI because they’ll get corrupted by chaos
leagues of votann: that’s ‘cause yer not insulatin’ ‘em against the warp *angry dwarven muttering* there, there, bosco, they don’t know what they’re talkin’ about
t’au: what the fuck is chaos, and who gives a shit *doom music starts playing*
Holy SHIT this took me forever to finish. I procrastinated on this for multiple weeks because Past Me thought it would be a good idea to try and experiment with thin delicate line-art again and I re-discovered my hatred for it because it makes coloring a massive PAIN IN THE ASS. Also, drawing braids (derogatory) and shading hair (derogatory).
So, I like dwarfs. I like space. I like bugs (including maggots and grubs). I've gotten into Deep Rock Galactic lately (the chat in the bottom right references Mission Control a bit), and when I encountered an old interpretation of dwarfs as having originated from "the maggots of Ymir", so my brain went "ALIEN BUG DORFS" and this came of it.
Design based off of maggots and beetle grubs. Feet based off of mountain goat hooves, allowing them to climb things that most people would not expect them to be able to climb. Very stout and durable. Looks squishy, but is actually rather strong and tanky. The three eyes in the middle of their forehead are ocelli similar to ants or wasps. Admittedly rushed the coloring, but thin line-art is a pain in the ass to color lmao.
do u know that even the size of the different size of vegetables at another country amazed me because from where i came from they are all smaller and scrawnier
