fallen for you

an impulsive matty admits his feelings for you

word count: 1.1k

warnings: just a lil bit of smoking and a lil bt of pining

notes: this is the first time i've written a fic in years so I'M SORRY, not my best by far but all the writing on here inspired me to try and write again <3 also i wanted to write some nervous matty because he needs humbled so here we go (i also wrote this first thing in the morning so even more apologies for my tired brain) oh! and the reader is in the support band for the 1975 because i'm self indulgent in my writing like that

The stars in the sky were all that occupied your mind as you sat outside the venue. The night was a peaceful calm, a refreshing contrast compared to the show your band had just performed on stage opening for the boys.

However the night's quiet is disrupted as the heavy backdoor to the venue opens from behind and Matty appears to join you, already in his suit and tie ready to go onstage, only if he knew what that look did to scramble your brain every night, it was almost annoying that someone could look so effortlessly good.

He sits down and pulls out his packet of cigarettes, inhaling deeply as he lights one up and gestures briefly to you if you want one, you silently raise your hand up in refusal, he’s enough for you right now, your legs side by side as you sit on the freezing steps. The brief contact is enough to warm your entire body.

You sit in comfortable silence for minutes, the only sounds are the slow burning of his cigarette and the tapping of his shoes on the dark ground. You appreciate him silently, wondering to yourself how you even got this opportunity and how messy it's become now that you've unfortunately grown to appreciate the frontman of the band you're touring with in a not so platonic way. Grown so accustomed to the silence and the whirling of your thoughts his sudden speech is almost startling, his confession even more so.

“I’m totally obsessed with you,”

“I've wanted to kiss you for ages you know,” he adds after a beat. The shock of his confession causes the breath to seem to leave your lungs but you manage to whisper out “and what’s stopping you?”

“Didn’t think you’d want me to” he states, still refusing to make eye contact and looking into the waves of smoke floating up into the air instead. Despite his steady voice you realise he's nervous and the thought alone is enough to make you smile. Seconds pass and the cold evening air no longer seems to faze you as you build up enough confidence to ask what you've wanted for months now.

“Do it. Kiss me. Please,” your voice barely loud enough, but he seems to hear.

Despite his nervousness he bites back the teasing comment waiting to spill from the tip of his tongue; that could wait for later, he’d been thinking of this moment for too long to screw it up, and the boys would never let him forget it if he did.

He pulls the cigarette from his lips and exhales one last cloud of grey smoke, the addictive smell that you’ve grown to associate with him fills your chest as he throws the butt to the ground. His rough hands move to cradle your face so gently as if he fears you could pop and dissolve through his fingers at any moment, as if he was scared you would change your mind or even if this was all a dream.

The kiss surprises you in its gentleness and as you move together you realise this is something you’ll never bore of, the feeling of needing his lips engraved into your skin is dizzying, a sentiment he seems to share as he leans further into the kiss, his hands cradling the sides of your face like lifelines.

When he pulls back, his brown eyes are twinkling brighter than the stars you're under and the purest smile you’ve ever seen him wear graces his lips as he fixes your hair and places any strand moved back to its rightful place. He steps back, takes your cold hand in his and squeezes, his voice low and affectionate when he says “Come see me after the show, yeah?” and with your nod he disappears back inside the venue, leaving your brain to catch up with what just happened.

You’re glad he’s gone inside so he can’t see the seemingly immovable blush that's taken permanent residence on your cheeks, you'd never hear the end of the teasing if he saw that. You stay in the cold of the evening for a little longer, the chill of the air circling you and helping to slow the beating of your heart, the memory of the smell of his smoke and aftershave and how it now seems to cling to your clothes still working to fluster you despite his absence.

As you head back into the halls of the venue you feel the need to confirm that the moment was real, and not just another cruel daydream after months on the road. You take out your phone and text him,

‘i’m obsessed with you too, for the record’

His reply is almost immediate,

‘i know, love’ .

“Cocky prick” you whisper to yourself, his proud reply so Matty it makes you giggle and works to calm any growing concerns you may have had. Shoving the phone into your back pocket you make your way to the greenroom with everyone else to wait while the boys perform, your heart beating that bit faster as the set gets nearer and nearer to the end, “Come see me after the show, yeah?” playing over and over in your head.

Once the show was over and most of the set taken down, your steps are embarrassingly quick as you walk to the back of the venue, once again to the boys' delegated smoking area, already smelling the intoxicating smoke that hung in the air that was undoubtedly coming from him. He turns as you round the corner, his lips raising into a smirk as he throws the burnt out butt to the ground, stamping it with his dress shoes. He waits for you to walk close to him, his eyes never once leaving yours before grabbing out at your shirt and pulling you flush to him, your arms moving to rest on his chest. Despite the chill in the air the heat between your bodies was enough to make your skin blush immediately. His eyes looked down at you mischievously as his fingers toy with your shirt absentmindedly behind your back.

“So you’re obsessed with me, huh?”

You huff out a laugh and look up to see that smug grin plastered over his beautiful face, his skin glowing and his curls a mess after his performance onstage.

“Don’t let it go to your head, we don’t need any more to feed your ego” you tease, poking at his forehead and watching as he momentarily closes his eyes at the motion.

His saccharine grin returns, “Too late for that darlin, you’ve confessed your undying obsession with me there’s no getting rid of me now”

You drop your head to his chest, subtly revelling in the affection as his arms wrap around you, enveloping you in comfort, making it impossible to ever imagine leaving them.

“You’re insufferable, you know that,” you laugh and despite your teasing he drops a kiss to your head,

“Yeah but I’m yours now, and that’s all that matters”

ok so i was thinking something like: at first, you were just Nat's best friend, then you got adopted by the whole group, and perhaps developed a little crush on Ari and Curtis (the certified plugs and rugby boys, built like tanks). you've seen them around since you have mutual friends, but you've never spoken more than a sentence or two to them (let's be honest, they're very intimidating). 3 Worried sooner/the most is Marc, he's the one with the biggest fear of his loved ones getting hurt and all the abandonment issues

^ I for sure think Marc pushes people away before they can push him away, so he would be worried if you're not communicating, thinking the worst about your safety or about your feelings toward him.

4 I think they have tried everything, each one has their favourite way of staying organised and external communication. Steven definitely is a notebook kind of guy, Marc wrights down important things in random places and then he forgets about it but phone notes help. Jake uses post it notes to communicate with the others but he also has an agenda in his car.

^ I like your insight. I wonder if Steven uses the phone more since he has a smart phone. Since Marc is always moving around suddenly (maybe?), that could be him too. Or he might have a little notebook. I for sure see Jake using post-it's.

5 Jake pays the bills (he has the most money and the others always wonder how they end up still having some money by the end of the month)

7 Marc: if he showers, he does it at night/early in the morning after a mission. Steven: He doesn't have time in the morning as he rushes to go to work so he settles down to shower after work or before bed. Jake: baths, they can be triggering to Marc due to the water but he knows when they need to have a long bath and relax so he just does that.

8 Marc is going to have the biggest mental breakdown and denial and anger and he is going to have the worst relationship with Jake at the beginning of the show causing problems to everyone. Steven figured out there was another one and suspected that they might work for Khonshu so he emotional prepared himself

9 Jake chews gum after smoking and Steven to cope with anxiety and also ground himself. Marc doesn't, except if Layla pulls out a package idk, just seeing some gum makes him want some gum!

☆CHAPTER 3 THE TEAM☆

(by chapter 3 its the next day!)

Kyle looked into a mirror atleas 5 times bigger then him sitting on a table. Looking into noticing all the scrapes and paches on his jacket. suddenly stan was there, almsot like he teleported. "Hey lil dude!" "u ready to go?" stans smile once again wiped any bad thoughs from kyles head. "sorry i completely forgot were were going." "dont u remeber? Were going to find us some people to come with us to go through the plan. You'd be mad to go just the two of us!" stan said looking at kyle.

"right sorry!" kyle said quicky putting on his hat. "now im ready to go! :)" kyle smiled back to stan. "Allright!" stan set out his hand to kyle and awaited the same feeling of tiny feet on his plam. Kyle climbed on and sat crossed leg in has hand. He was no long affraid of him, he had a friend. Then stan put his hand up to his shirt pocket lightly shaking it as to not hurt kyle but to get him in it.

The same feelong came over kyle. Warm and soft. Kyle poked his head and arm out the pocket to look around. By the time he looked out they were allready going down a path to town square. Stan looked down just to make sure his friend was ok, looking at the tiny boy if his pocket. The bright sun shimmering in his red locks and glissened in his emerald eyes. consoles you when ur crying, sick n tired of feeling so scared all the time, wanting life to go back to normal! you love spending time with rafe but everything is getting to be a little bit... overwhelming. you're never alone anymore, never have time or the chance to just be with your friends. it's a lil suffocating but then someone else turns up dead and you retreat into safety, into what you think can protect you: rafe.

the big reveal is the make or break. in the real world youd run screaming for your life. but in shea's world ur just as crazy as he is, still believe he did everything for the right reason, brainwashed enough by him and his charm and his love for you that is so apparent he would kill for you and you let it sway you.

Rex had called you to the hangar, something about Anakin needing some help with something, his words rushed as if he didn't have time and you felt confused, it wasn't like there weren't any more mechanics working at the time, and the General had given you half day off, "as a birthday present," he had told you, after a little hug and a congratulations.

You rushed your steps, hair still slightly wet from the shower you took before and the thought of getting more engine oil on you made you roll your eyes.

This better be good.

Once you got to the hangar door, you found it was closed, frowning, you commed Rex.

"The door is closed."

You hear him coughing, a few murmurs are heard and you never felt more confused in your life, what was going on.

"Yeah, sorry." He mumbled, "Ahsoka locked it by, uh, accident." Rex sounded nervous, and for some reason it made your heart beat faster. Did something happen? If it required for the General, Commander and Captain to be in the room, it must be important, but then again, there's no power in this galaxy that could ever torn them apart.

"Its open now."

It's not long before the door opens before you, and as soon as you step into the room, a chant of "surprise!" is heard, keeping you in place as your brain processes the image before you, tears filling your eyes as soon as it settles in your heart.

Everyone is there, your fellow mechanics, Anakin, Ahsoka, the troopers you had become friends with, even the General of the 212th was there, with big smiles on their faces, a big sign with messy letters in aurebesh that read Happy Birthday colored with the 501st blue hung between two ships, it was almost falling off, but the thought warmed your soul. The "ay" looked incredibly smaller as they run out of space compared to the wide H at the beginning, they all had different styles, and you wondered if they agreed to write one letter per person.

"I–" you started, but words didn't come out, you were left speechless, many emotions running through your mind and your heart that you couldn't pick one to express what you felt.

"Thank you," you whisper, blinking quickly in hopes for the tears to disappear, but they don't, much less when Ahsoka comes for you and holds your hand, leading you towards everyone.

"Ah! it's nothing, the boys insisted we should celebrate." She told you, the mischievous smile she wore told you she was to blame.

"The boys? Snips you couldn't shut up about the surprise party for a week." Anakin said, walking towards you before enveloping in a warm hug, one that lasted longer than the one he gave you a few hours prior. "Happy birthday," he murmured softly in your ear, and you smiled widely.

Anakin hasn't been nothing but nice since you joined the Resolute, times spent at the hangar fixing whatever ship he completely destroyed in his perfect landings, and you were completely past knowing him solely as The General and more as Anakin.

"Thanks, boss."

He chuckled, ruffling your hair before Ahsoka pushed him away.

"Hey, we all want our hugs gramps," she said as she gave you the tightest of hugs, laughing quietly when you hear Anakin huff in annoyance. "Hope we have you many many more years with us."

It took you a while, to be congratulated by everyone, Obi Wan being the first right after Ahsoka, Rex lingering a bit more than most, his cheeks a sweet shade of pink as he stumbles over his words.

"I uh," he scratches the nape of his neck, aware of the line of clones behind him waiting to hug you, "I, I know this isn't much but," his eyes look down to his feet before meeting your eyes, golden eyes filled with nothing but affection, his fingers fumble awkwardly with his belt as he tries to take something from one of the many bags. "I got you this."

He gives you a little bouquet of flowers of your favorite color, already placed in a cup with water to keep them from dying.

"Rex you–" for the second time in the past hour, tears fill your eyes, a lump in your throat makes it hard for the words to be pushed past your lips, "you didn't have to."

"I wanted to." He frowns slightly, looking at the little box in your hands, "like i said, it's not much, but–"

"It's perfect, thank you."

You kiss his cheek, feeling like melting from all the love you're receiving, but mostly because how even now, in the middle of war, between so much death and suffering, they still find a moment to celebrate life, to still be kind, to be thoughtful and caring.

The tips of his ears turn red, and you giggle softly before thanking him again, he nods as he moves for the next person to give you his best wishes, a few give you little kisses on your cheeks, and others give you stiff hugs that made you chuckle.

Jesse is the last one to hug you, along with Hardcase and Fives.

"Happy birthday to not only the best mechanic in the GAR, but to our best friend as well." Jesse says before giving you a bone crushing hug, a loud, breathless laugh leaving your lips as he leaves a very wet kiss on your cheek.

Hardcase doesn't wait for Jesse to leave before he's hugging you too.

"Happy birthday!"

And it's not long before you have all the boys crushing you in the biggest bear hug you've ever had, feeling a bit claustrophobic for a moment but that doesn't stop you from enjoying the moment, your heart swelling with love.

When they all pull away to let you breath, Fives places a hand over your shoulders, walking you towards the Generals and the Commander waited for you.

"We got another surprise for you!"

"Oh really?" You ask, looking at Echo when he places himself on your other side, throwing his arm over your shoulders as well and walking in sync with you and Fives.

"Fives really insisted on it."

You hum, confused once more, but as soon as you meet with the others, you find what they were talking about.

There's a big cake being held by two astromechs, the white frosting perfectly placed under the blue letters that held your name right on the middle, sprinkles of at least eight different colors, one of the corners had way too much yellow and there was a tiny smiley face on another.

"There's no birthday if there's no cake." Fives stated, and everyone agreed.

"We made it, so we're not completely sure if it's good," Tup sheepishly admitted, and you almost melted at the thought.

They were too sweet, incredibly so that your heart couldn't take it.

"Thank you guys, I'm sure it's amazing."

"Oh! you cannot cut it without blowing the candle," Obi Wan spoke, patting his clothes trying to find the candle Anakin made sure he didn't forget.

He placed it on the when he found it, giving you a dashing smile and a wink once he did. R2 was quick to lit it up.

The boys made sure to be loud when singing the happy birthday song, Hardcase and Jesse making their voices as low and loud as they could, making Dogma roll his eyes and Fives laugh for most of the song.

Tears left your eyes a few times, overwhelmed with the affection they all had for you, your cheeks hurting with how wide you were smiling.

"What did you wish for?" Fives asked you at some point, to which you shook your head as you took another bite of cake that –to everyone's surprise,– it was actually good.

"Can't tell you."

"Why not?"

"Some say that if you say your wish, it won't happen." He scoffs.

"Sounds like bullshit." You laugh loudly, which makes Fives' face break into a smile.

You don't tell him, though, that you didn't wish for anything. Not really, for everything you wanted was right there, with you, the feeling of home, of warmth. Knowing you belonged somewhere, in a family you found all by yourself, surrounded with joy, and love.

They made sure it was your best birthday ever.

there are some days where tendou just feels,,, empty inside

despite having a line of fangirls wanting him

so when days like that ^^ happens, he just stays quiet and close off everyone around him

during his emo days, you just somehow miraculously tripped over your own feet

in front of him

but thanks to tendou’s fast reflexes he caught your arm just in time before you kiss the cold hard floor

it took a big fat minute for you two to understand what was going on

“you okay there?” he would ask, his eyes filled with concern

tendou watches you walk away from him with a small smile

“she’s cute...” he thinks to himself before going back to his sulky mode

the next day rolls in and he’s no longer in his emo mode so he’s back to being his fuckboy ass self

though the interaction with you is still lingering in the back of his head

lunch time rolls in and you and tendou walk inside the cafe the school had together

to which he tells you its because of him

“it’s because of me haha sorry bout that” he giggles, ordering himself a latte and whatever you order

you knew about his reputation

that was mainly the reason why you ran away from him the day you tripped over your own feet but he caught you

but surprisingly he’s actually a really nice person !

he’s got that quirky personality with amazing humor that gets you laughing at anything he says

and he reads mangas too!!

though you only read my hero academia and bungo stray dogs,, you two still got along because of that

“who’s your favorite character in my hero?” he asks, his eyes sparkling

“definitely bakugo for sure” you say in awe, dreamily thinking about bakugo

“i like the protagonist! deku is that bitch” he shares, staring at you in the eyes

“what about in stray dogs?” this time it was your turn to ask

“hmm...” he thinks for a moment, “akutagawa” he answers

“holy shit same! but i like dazai too”

in the end you two skipped classes and just stayed in the cafe til it was dark out either talking about mangas or just getting to know each other

this also means he walked you back to your dorm

“this is me.. hehe” you giggled, scratching the back of your head sheepishly as you two stop at the girls dormitory building

“see you around y/n-chan~ goodnight” tendou waves as he walks back to his dorm

after that tendou’s fuckboy habits have noticeably decreased

he barely talks or entertains his flings or girls who are after him in general

and his eyes and his overall demeanour would lighten up if he sees you or he talks to you

it was actually really sweet

“so no new chick on your radar these past few weeks?” you ask as you stared at him while eating your pasta

tendou sighs dreamily, “yep” he says popping the ‘p’ at the end

“that’s strange. aren’t you in your eye candy form right now?” you raised a brow, ruffling his already messy hair

“i mean.. yeah i am in eye candy form” he winks making you giggle

“what the fuck satori” you laughed out loud, almost choking on your food

“my chick radar detected a chick!” he exclaims, pointing his fingers around as if it’s pinpointing the target

then his finger stops at you

you turned around in case there was someone behind you til you realized it was only the two of you in the cafe

(you two skipped classes again)

“me?” you point to yourself in shock

“no i meant the ghost behind you. what’s up casper?” he says with the most deadpan expression, “of course it’s you!”

“you’re really cute and i like being around you” he shyly confessed, ruffling his hair as force of habit when he’s nervous

you stared at him in shock, still not processing his confession

tendou takes a peek at your shocked expression on the corner of his eye, “its okay if you don’t feel the same i was just sayi-”

you shut him up by giving him a kiss on the cheek

“lucky for you, i like you too” you blushed

“you do?!” now it was his turn to be shocked

“no” you blep at him making him laugh

“didn’t think you’d take revenge on me you meanie” he pouts, tucking your hair behind your ear as you smile widely at your new boyfriend

AssClass Bedroom Headcanons: Part 2

Part 1 Here

Kataoka

Definitely has the neatest room.

Her room is very light-colored with a lot of white furniture because she loves how classy it looks.

Her floor has to be clear or else she’ll lose her mind.

Has pastel feminine bedspread and decor because she likes the frills and girly vibe.

Has lots of posters of her favorite swimmers and women she looks up to.

Even her books and school supplies on her desk are so organized.

Enjoys stepping onto her soft, warm fluffy rug in the mornings.

Okajima

Has a comfy bed but honestly, this boy lives on the mini couch seating instead.

Like 99% of the time, he’s crouching there doing homework or camera stuff. Or also flipping through magazines.

Has a big window with nice curtains so he can control the lighting for picture-taking purposes.

He has the most boring ass covers lmao, it’s like a thin sheet that he sleeps under. His female friends roast him all the time for it.

Has a couple bookshelves filled with textbooks and photography equipment!

There’s a couple of plants but they were gifts from Sugaya.

Overall the vibes are nice and cozy. Slightly hermit vibes but it’s all good.

Kayano

I’m sorry but this room is so gorgeous to me, I just had to give it to her.

So like she lives in an apartment as a 3-E student and she definitely would be able to afford a rlly nice one, with her money from acting.

The room has really lovely boho vibes, but it’s also rlly modern at the same time??

Has a very large window with a stunning view that she looks at often, in thought.

Keeps a couple books at her bedside, along with painkillers and manuscripts.

Tbh it’s somewhat neat because she can’t stand messiness. But it gets messy often because she has other things to focus on and she’s sad.

There’s a bunch of pudding wrappers all around on the floor.

Hayami

Her room is a little basic by these standards tbh, but it’s super comfortable.

It’s fairly spacious since she practices dancing in there sometimes.

Has a lot of windows because she likes natural sunlight. And at night, she keeps them open slightly to enjoy the sounds of the night, like crickets, cars passing by, etc

Owns so many adorable cat plushies that she keeps in her bed.

I’d say her room is pretty neat, but during her time in 3-E, I can see Hayami throwing things around more often. Like she has other things to think about.

Her furniture is all so aesthetic looking and pretty. Like the vibes are very pretty in the room overall.

Sugino

I’m so sorry y’all, but I feel like his bedroom would be plain af 😭

Like it’s Sugino lmao. I can’t see him really thinking about “aesthetic” or “decor” lol. BUT don’t fret, it’s still very charming in its own way!

It would be pretty small since in canon, his family lives in a certain type of public housing/apartments.

His bed frame would be the kind that’s very low to the ground. Which is nice so he can just flop onto there when he’s dead tired.

Has very thick black-out curtains to block any sunlight since the boy wants all the rest he can get.

Has a single desk for his PC and as a place to do schoolwork. Also where he can play some video games lol.

Would have a couple stuffed animals on his bed UwU.

Yoshida

I’m getting very suave vibes for his bedroom tbh. Like out of all the guys, he’s the best at decorating.

Given that his family isn’t very big, I wanna say he’d have a decently-spaced room.

There’s super cool lighting in the room with the lights he hung up, and his lamp. Like the ambience is just 👌

Has pictures of his family and friends framed and sitting on his dresser. It’s so sweet.

Also has a stuffed teddy bear that he got when he was kids and playing with Hara.

Tbh he’s barely in his room. He’s usually either with the class, squad, or working on his motorcycles.

Has many books on physics, mechanics engineering, etc in a single bookshelf in his room.

Kimura

Idk, my first thought was that he’d have a small-ish room that’s packed with lots of stuff.

I feel like Kimura is the type of gremlin who would lowkey hoard things lmao. Like it would sit in his drawer for 4 years before he decides what to do.

But yeah. I can see him with small shelves filled with various different things. One of them has some indoor workout equipment.

He has a desk that’s constantly cluttered, no matter how often he clears it. It also has his computer.

The only reason his room is ever clean is because his mother has cleaned it. As soon as the 3-E girls find this out, they absolutely give him a lesson on tidiness.

Has some stuffed animals that he bought to try impress Kurahashi but he ended up loving them for real lmao.

Ritsu

Ok so of course, Ritsu has probably made her own lil world and home digitally. But that means she’d also decorate/create her own bedroom!

I’m a big advocate for a Ritsu who always changes aesthetic but I think her bedroom is pretty easy to figure out.

First of all, it would be hella random lmao. Like the absolute weirdest items and decorations are just all around, on the floor, wall, etc lmaoooo.

THE BED HAS TO BE EXTREMELY COMFY WITH A CUTE SPREAD. This will be her main residing area when she binges K-Dramas and other shows she loves.

Also there’s a giant TV in the room lmao.

All of her books, games, and forms of entertainment are probably lying on the floor lolol.

Yeah it’s pretty messy. One of her classmates or teachers has to remind her to clean up.
