This post contains spoilers for The great ace attorney 2‼️‼️🤯
Something I really like about Herlock Sholmes is his music. In Joint Reasoning, the time signature is in 7/8, which is famously the hardest and most annoying time signature to play in. In Herlocks deductions with Ryunosuke, he’s messing up, he’s getting things wrong, and overall not being very good at his job. The 7/8 time signature is a nod to how much he’s messing up in these deductions. However in Partners- the song that plays when Herlock is doing a deduction with Mikotoba- the time signature is in 4/4, the easiest time signature to play in. In his deduction with Mikotoba, he’s obviously much more comfortable and is staying on the side lines helping Mikotoba through the deduction and seemingly knows everything that is going on already. The 4/4 signature is showing that he’s finally able to get his shit together.
Another thing about Joint Reasoning is that while the strings are heavily included, the main instrument of Herlocks part is a viola. While in Partners, the main instrument of Herlocks part is a violin. If you remember back to Unspeakable Story, while Herlock is very good at playing the violin, the viola is a struggle for him. He’s struggling in the song where the viola is playing, but he’s doing just fine in the song the violin is playing.
A detective is nothing without his partner

i’m so tired of the “psych ward patient” stereotypes. i’m so tired of the bloody costumes, the straightjackets, the unkempt hair that’s supposed to signify they’re “crazy”. i was in a (pediatric) psych ward. we were all just children. hurt and traumatized children. yes, sometimes we were unkempt and neglected ourselves. yes, sometimes we were violent towards ourselves or others. we were children. i’m so fucking over demonizing mentally ill people. i don’t care what your justification is, this shit hurts kids like me and the others in the hospital with me

pervy shigaraki that convinces you into an endurance game—one where you both hold a vibrating toy against the other to see who cums the fastest. if he wins, he gets to do whatever he wants to you, and honestly, you shouldn’t agree to it when he gets that look in his eye. the one that holds a plan of torture against your sweet little cunt, a plethora of ideas of what he could do to you, for how long before you’re passing out and waking again because of another orgasm.
you only agree because you get something equally as sweet if you win but—you should’ve known that the odds were against you before they game had even begun. shiggy asked you to this game, although he omitted the information that he had already jerked off three times today. you lost before even starting.
he still looks so good though, during the contest. his legs scissoring yours as you hold a hitachi wand right under the head of his pulsing tip. his eyes are low and lidded, his mouth parted in shaky little breaths, his chest heaving every time you run the wand down his shaft to vibrate against his balls. you lost, but you still revel in the imagery burned into your head.

I relate to Tubbo on frankly an astronomical level. If he’s upset he needs a reason, an explanation behind it. There’s simply no way he can just be..upset. There’s a reason, there’s a solution
But, he’ll be faced with the EXACT reason he’s upset and he will disregard it because fuck, what is he if his problems can’t be solved by a complicated plan. What is he if he has to talk to people. If the solution doesn’t fit into his algorithms, what is he if he has to show his hands and he has to be honest and talk, and understand or comprehend. What is he if he can’t fix himself

Spoilers for season 5 of tma
How am I supposed to move on with my life knowing that Jon was doomed from the beginning? The second touched that goddamned Lietner he was done for. And Elias knew this. That's why he made Jon head Archivist. That's why he put Jon through all that bullshit. And that's why he told Jon in his little ritual-statement that it was all just rotten luck because he couldn’t let Jon believe that he had any chance of saving the world.

Yeah no, Pluto definitely did not die from suicide. At least, I don’t think so.
The world of Nevermore is very, very influenced by Edgar Allen Poe. For example, Prospero. In the original Edgar Allen Poe short story “The Masque of Red Death”, he was a prince, which could explain how prim and proper he acts in Nevermore, and he died from the Red Death, which at the beginning of the story is stated to be a plague. I wonder whose spectre is a plague doctor. Also, Fortunato, Duke’s stage name, was a character in the short story The Cask of Amontillado, who dies from being trapped in a wall. Sounds familiar? Anyways, my point is, a lot of names and deaths and details are inspired directly from Edgar Allen Poe.
Now, Pluto. Our beloved British catboy. Coincidentally, the name of a cat from my favorite Edgar Allen Poe story; The Black Cat.
The Black Cat is not one of the cuter stories of Edgar Allen Poe’s works. It starts with a man; he loves animals and finds a wife who loves animals too, and they both adopt a plethora of animals together. One of them in particular takes a liking to the man: a black cat, named Pluto.
The man’s life begins to go downhill when he starts becoming an alcoholic. He begins to abuse his animals just for the perverseness of it, and he becomes a lot more mean-spirited than the person he was before. One day, he comes home, and thinks that Pluto is ignoring him. In his annoyance, he forcibly picks up the cat, causing the cat to bite him slightly on the finger. This small inconvenience causes the man to become so enraged that, in his anger, he takes a knife, and gouges out Pluto’s eye.
Obviously, after this, the cat is positively terrified of the man. He avoids him as much as possible, but after about a week, it seems his eye injury has healed and is doing him no harm.
Then, just for the pleasure that doing the wrong thing gives him, one morning, the man takes it upon himself to finish the deed and hangs the poor car in cold blood.
That’s the end of the relevant section. If you want to know the rest of the story, I would recommend reading it-just search up The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe online and you can easily find it for free.
Anyways, what does this have to do with our beloved Nevermore Pluto?
Well, besides from the obvious similarities that Pluto shares with the Edgar Allen Poe cat, what stood out to me the most was the nature of the man. In episode whatchamacallitimtootiredtofinditrightnow, it is revealed the Pluto’s father is an alcoholic. Not only that, but enraged that Pluto wants to leave home and see the lights, he gouges out his son’s eye. Again, very close to the story. I wonder what the man did next to Pluto in that story?
I suppose it could be implied suicide due to the fact it was awakened in Pluto when he felt relieved, but remember in the story how Pluto’s eye injury had finally healed before the man killed him? It may be a far cry, but I believe that Pluto could have finally thought he was free from his father and that he made it out of his house before his father found him again and hung him. Finally relieved before it is yanked away from him. After all, that’s what he did in the story, and when he experienced the flashback of his death, he didn’t think or feel the thoughts of a relieved suicidal person (as memories of the time seem to slightly return during those flashbacks), but rather panic and fear, which would be odd if it was a suicide that made him feel finally relieved.
Also, he died wanting to go beyond the binds of society and what humanity deems is possible. If he had such a strong dream that he absolutely wanted to make happen, even present while dying, why would he kill himself and destroy his opportunity?
Honestly, I would also find it odd at this point if that wasn’t what happened. After all, the authors have been very accurate to the poems and stories of Edgar Allen Poe for the characters ripped from them. Again, Prospero and Duke, Eulalie has lavender eyes as described in her poem, and Berenice has a very heavy teeth theme like in her story. Not only that, but after following the story of the Black Cat for so long in Pluto’s backstory, I would find it odd if they changed the one thing that both Plutos were killed by if they were so accurate with Duke.
But who knows?
Perhaps I ramble like a madwoman.

I always feel weird when people talk about how Rainwings handle raising kids.
Because it inevitably turns into “now that Glory is queen she’ll make everyone into a nuclear family and they’ll all be good attentive parents now :)”
Which is kinda… gross to be blunt.
What happened to Glory and to the Rainwings that were kidnapped wasn’t because of their family structure, it was because they didn’t pay attention.
There was no one keeping track of or guarding the nests. So someone stealing an egg would happen even if it was a singular couple’s nest.
Besides this, there isn’t anything inherently wrong with how the Rainwings raise their hatchlings.
They clearly have ways of ensuring the ones that hatched are kept track of, named, and taught.
Plus they have a bulid-in way of seeing who’s closely related. (Granted they’ll definitely have to start keeping records of that now that there’s Nightwings around)
Now i’m not saying that any inclusion of a Rainwing nuclear family is bad!
Honestly I think its likely that Glory would offer potential Rainwing parents the option of being the main caregivers to their bio kids along with the traditional collaborated style.
But there’s a difference between acknowledging the changes that inevitably come about from the events of the books and just deciding that there is only one way to have a family or raise kids.

We should really talk more about
When everyone admired my power and wanted to flatter me , you’re the only who scolded me. Now, when everyone wants me to die or hates me, you’re the only one standing by my side.
This is such a powerful quote as a whole, with a very sincere and honest sentiment, but I wanna talk about the first part.
When everyone admired my power and wanted to flatter me, you’re the only who scolded me.
And look, I know we all love a smitten and indulgent Lan Zhan, I love him too! But! This right here, this quote, this sentiment, this is literally the baseline to any long lasting, healthy relationship.
Like, yeah, you’ve got to negotiate and surrender some things for the relationship to actually work, but unless you want an unstable, unhealthy relationship then you’ve also got to be firm and stubborn about other things. You’ve got to have your own opinion and most importantly, you’ve got to trust the other person enough to share that opinion.
I cannot emphasize enough just how much trust in your relationship it actually takes to disagree with someone you care about, to scold that someone.
And I’m not saying that you should go around starting petty arguments with everyone you care about just because, neither I’m saying you should put up with someone when the only thing they do is scold or criticize you, because that’s also unhealthy. All I’m saying is that it takes an enormous amount of trust and love to care enough to tell someone no, to tell them when you think they’re making the wrong decision- not because you want them to feel less or insecure, but because you know they’ll be hurting in the end and you do not want that- which is exactly what Lan wangji did, considering all the information at his disposal.
I’m not saying he didn’t make any mistakes because he did and there were a lot of times when he was the one in the wrong, but I am saying that I believe he did that out of care and love and concern. And Wei Ying seeing that? Accepting that? That’s like a huge step in their relationship if you consider that before his resurrection he was convinced Lan Zhan hated him and was actively trying to antagonize him.
Lwj was brave enough to sacrifice one of the things he cherishes the most (aka his relationship with wwx) if it meant that wwx would listen to him, would not be hurt by the choices he was making (because that’s what lwj thought the end result would be, and it was). He was willing to argue and fight and make wwx hate him but he was not willing to let wwx be hurt, even if it was wwx himself the one inflicting the injury.
And that’s just. So much love. You’ve got responsibilities when you’re in a relationship and one of them is protecting your beloved even if it’s from themselves- especially if it’s from themselves-.
Lwj knew that if he didn’t try to protect wwx from himself no one else would because they all were or too afraid of him or depended on him too much to actually pick a fight with him.
That also says a lot about how lwj sees their relationship.
In this fandom we talk a lot about wangxian being equals in everything, but this just goes and gives it a whole new meaning.
They’re equals in strength and in mind, yes, but even when wwx chose the ghost path and separated himself from lwj’s path, lwj still considered him an equal, he considered them well enough matched to know that he could confidently tell him things as they were, bluntly, that he could be upfront and frank with him.
And that’s just !!! And it all really comes full circle with post redirection lwj, who’s so willing to indulge wwx not because he’s just following him blindly, but because now he’s got the full information and realizes that wwx is in the right- if he really thought that wwx was in the wrong he would’ve told him.

I know there’s a lot of negativity surrounding the new generation of children but imo children are like the sweetest people ever. I see a ton of kids at work and they’re always the first to call me pretty or to wave hi or to do something funny to make me laugh. you know what I also see a lot at work? parents getting mad at their kids for getting too excited, parents on their phones instead of watching their kids and even worse, parents handing their kids phones or tablets when they get too rowdy. personally I think the problem is that this generation of parents aren’t loving their kids enough. I know it’s hard to be a parent, but it’s sad to know that parents are just handing their children electronics instead of… y’now, spending time with them? I hate the narrative of “ohhhh it’s so harddd to be a parent!!” when you chose to have kids and you now choose to ignore them. kids are really sweet and I will probably always defend your kid before I defend you.

tell me abt the dadow and sonadow enchanted au
so basically since sonic is king arthur and a prince in sonic underground i figured he could work in giselle’s role of being from a fantasy universe and accidentally ending up in a modern city
and silver would see him walking around the city that night which would lead to sonic and shadow meeting and shadow letting him stay with them until he could get home
and it would work similarly to the movie with sonic doing a bunch of things that annoy shadow who’s just trying to get rid of him and them eventually falling for each other with the added bonus of sonic and silver bonding (also sonic would get to try a chili dog for the first time since giselle eats a hotdog in the movie lmao)
and since enchanted is technically a story of two relationships i thought about having knuckles & rouge in edward and nancy’s roles but instead of being in relationships with shadow and sonic initially rouge would just be shadow’s friend who helps him with silver sometimes and knuckles would jump through the portal to find sonic and bring him home since that’s his friend (also tails would be with him kinda like pip)
i haven’t really decided on the main villains yet but i did have an idea of making it sonic’s mom from underground or just eggman (it could technically be both)
i haven’t thought out everything yet but this is what i came up with while rewatching the movie

I relate a lot to detransitioned & dysphoric women in some ways. Thankfully, I never transitioned. But I did go through a brief period of time where I questioned my “gender identity.”
I went through a really rough patch around the ages of 14/15. I think that’s when the horrors of misogyny really started to sink in for me. I slipped into complete despair. I thought there was no hope for women. I started to believe that we really were just born to be oppressed. I would break down crying over stupid misogynistic shit I saw online. Etc.
I hated being female and I hated being perceived as a woman. When I talked to my friends at the time about these feelings, they told me I was probably gender-fluid or a trans man.
I will admit that I somewhat blame blackpill radical feminism for my feelings of self hatred. Because at the time I started having these ~gender issues~ was also around the time I started looking further into radical feminism. Of course, I am thankful that I ultimately went down the gender critical/radfem path instead of the trans path. But I don’t think radical feminism is faultless.
I am now in a much better place regarding my relationship with womanhood. And I block blackpill radfems & feminists that say shit like, “there’s no hope for women.” Personally, I don’t even consider them feminists. I don’t think you can call yourself a feminist if you believe that there is no hope for women.
Being a feminist is hard & staying positive is hard, but I believe that sort of pessimistic rhetoric does more harm than good. Especially to young girls like I was. It’s completely counterproductive. Why would young girls want to become radical feminists if radical feminism believes there’s no hope for women? Any teenage girl would choose being a trans man over that…

sorry this is random but i just saw someone call these 2 popular rn youtubers/influencers “the next dan and phil” and …. i find that sentiment so interesting? and i guess it says a lot about the ppl that weren’t truly in the fandom and how they view things (and why locals/casuals are so quick to get mad and say “well we don’t truly know anything but what they say” when you point out dnp are together and always have been). they always say it towards 2 male influencers with a strong friendship who also like to playfully flirt with each other and bait the audience (not queer bait i don’t think real ppl can do that lol) and it’s just…. i mean i guess i don’t blame locals or causal fans but comparing any duo to dnp is so crazy to me bc even from an outside perspective if you don’t know the lore and their history and timeline etc and just take what is given to you from their content these are two youtubers who are both gay, came out at the same time, have lived together for years and were referenced to be in a relationship by dan himself at one point (not that it ever ended but yk in locals eyes just presenting facts). and they’ve never playfully/jokingly flirted on camera before in the way these other duos have. all dnps real flirting was in 2009 for the general public to see 💀💀 it’s just strange bc how do you look at all that and compare them to dnp? it’s just interesting to think about how locals and/or casual fans view them and their relationship.
it is interesting how that happens with celebrities and well-known people in general, often who are queer or queer-presumed. for someone who knows dan and phil only on the surface level, like maybe they’ve watched a few videos or maybe even subscribed, and they never do research on their past or who they are outside of just those videos… it must warp their sense of the big picture right? and if those people have the same relationship to other youtubers/content creators/etc they watch, it’s easier to relate them to one another. i do understand it in a way, cause it’s a human trait to notice patterns and draw lines between them, but sometimes that means ignoring whole entire complex human beings and their histories. which necessarily isn’t inherently wrong either, cause i’m sure we’ve all done it consciously or not, but it’s something that can result in people thinking they know someone when it’s just a portrayed image or reflection of their own opinions, not pure truth. a lot to think about there for sure!

So now that I know the imps are canon in your Villain AU does the kings and queens of hell exist in the AU like Lucifer, Asmodeus, Belzeebub and Mammon
(I only say those 4 because Satan, Leviathan and Belphegor don't appear yet)
Kinda. I’m mostly trying to follow with Inky mystery lore in terms of hell but then again I don’t know a whole lot about hell in that context so it’s not perfect. So I also use helluva boss to fill in those gaps? I do know that asmodeus and stolas are canon in IM (they’re a bit different in design but oh well) so yes they are canon. Im not sure about the others.
I mostly just drew Kobie as an Imp from helluva boss because i liked the design. In IM all demons look different from each other. There isn’t really much consistency in design. So I used Helluva Doss’ design as inspiration and a direction to go for Kobie.
But largely things run like in Inky Mystery. For example how things run for imps: like imps all possessing emotion manipulation magic. Imp names being related to their magic. That imps are one of the lower “class” and usually used as servants. That they’re all treated like trash for doing something wrong or messing up. That sort of thing.
I assume Lucifer is just the devil in IM so he’s dead. And I just found out that satan and Lucifer aren’t the same people (I had to look this up so I’m not sure).
I just don’t think those characters, asmodeus, belzeebub, mammon, etc; are known as sins? I’d have to re-read TAP’s descriptions on Hell’s government system to really know. But looks like to me in IM Asmodeus and Stolas are equals in stature from what I can tell as princes of hell. Where in helluva boss asmodeus has a higher rank than stolas as a sin of hell.
Basically I’m mostly using character designs from helluva boss and some other facts and plugging it into inky mystery lore. The governmental system, culture, and customs are all from IM.
I hope this answered your questions! Sorry if it was vague! 😭

So… I just binged a bunch of MILGRAM content stuff, including a lot of posts about it, and I have a few (possibly nonsensical) thoughts.
MILGRAM is supposed to be an experiment, right? I think everyone can agree with that. It gets its name from the real life Milgram experiment, and as such they share a bunch of similarities.
I think the general view in the fandom is that we should try to help them with their various traumas and mental illnesses. A common joke I see is that instead of innocent or guilty, we should have a “therapy” option.
Although I absolutely do also want what is best for the characters, that’s not really the point, is it? Their reactions to the votes, whether or not they really should be forgiven; that has never been the point of MILGRAM. For all we know, certain characters could never be saved. Our careful choices could end up not even mattering at all, because some characters may not have even a possibility of a happy ending. But really, that’s not the point.
In the actual Milgram experiment, there are three roles that must be filled: The experimenter, the teacher, and the learner. The experimenter tells the teacher to administer shocks to the learner, who will then let out increased reactions of agony to these shocks.
However, the learner is not the person being experimented on. The teacher is. The learner’s experience is irrelevant; they’re an actor, and they feel none of the actual shocks.
The prisoners in MILGRAM have never been the subjects of the experiment. We are. Our reactions are what is being tested, not the prisoners’. MILGRAM is testing our own limits, our own judgements of ‘innocent or guilty’, or ‘good or evil’, and how these judgements change when we are fed more and more information.
As a side note: the more and more MILGRAM stuff I consume (I am still making my way through all the voice dramas) the more I worry for the fate of these characters. It seems cruel, doesn’t it, for all these mentally ill or traumatized people to be put into prison instead of therapy?
I realized, though, that in a way, the prisoners are actors. They’re all fictional (not that it means that you are wrong for caring about them, ofc).
The prisoners’ pain will end when the experiment is over. They will be carefully contained as they were, but no further than that. We will still worry for them, their fates, but they will cease to truly exist. Our choices, though, our feelings, won’t.
This post was rather long, sorry. If I don’t make much sense, just ignore me.

Hello :D! Wanted to pop by and say I absolutely adore your art! I’ve followed you (on here and on twitter) for quite a while now and you’ve rlly become someone whose silly little posts/tweets make me smile, I love ur energy. It’s always so cool to see you talk abt ur interests or ocs
speaking of ur ocs, who I love and will never mind you ranting abt, is there anything else u could tell me about Sherbet?
and last thing. I was wondering if you don’t mind me asking, how did you get into dnd :0? I think it seems so cool but I have no clue how to get started
alright, that’s it, I hope u have an amazing day!
Awe, tysm!! I’m so glad that my silly little posts are able to make you happy, that means a lot :’D
In terms of Sherbet lore… hmmmm. In the universe he’s in there is currently an epidemic? Plage? Going around in the major city he lives in, which is completely quarantined with big walls set up to keep people in as well as out. Like I said before he’s a scientist, mainly focused around finding a way to stop the mold, while being secretly infected with it himself (found a way to keep it from being contagious, but unable to find a cure). Basically travels around activating all these big machines that’ll help spread the cure when it’s discovered, but that involves more characters and will probably be explained later. In the meantime, have a little lore sketch of my vague plans for his character ;)
Tumblr media
In terms of dnd- I wasn’t able to play at all until I hit college, and then I just talked to enough people that some various groups running games found out I was interested and invited me! Just tell enough people you’re looking to play and hope for the best!
