I need to re-watch the scene for exact details, but I've been thinking all day about Nate's failed Diamond Dogs attempt and why it crashed and burned so hard. I mean, the obvious takeaway is that there is none of the love and support from which to build that kind of group at West Ham. As Beard lays out for Trent in the same episode, they're laying bare their innermost thoughts, feelings, and experiences. If you don't trust the people in the room (which Nate has no reason to yet - it strikes me that they're left in this awkward silence while waiting to officially begin, rather than the casual camaraderie we see in Ted's office) and if there's no respect (which there isn't, particularly between Rupert and Nate: Nate is catching on to all of Rupert's manipulations - what name to call him, cheating with his secretary, etc. - and Rupert just straight up refuses to see him as a person) then of course the core foundation of what the group is built on will crumble.
However, beyond that I also think intention is important too. The original Diamond Dogs forms because Ted needs advice about sleeping with Sassy. He makes himself vulnerable to the very group he's forming as a way of modeling what the Diamond Dogs are all about. In contrast, Nate's first meeting feels more like an excuse to brag. Yes, he does have a similar problem to unpack, namely the question of how he should navigate this relationship, but that felt secondary to me, with the excuse to tell these top dog (pardon the pun) men that he's finally landed a maybe girlfriend forefronting his motivations. Remember, Rupert was meant to be in the room and Nate makes it clear that this meeting is not really about the group helping each other, it's about them paying attention to his partial success/continued worries. The fact that the other guy (I don't even know his name, which speaks to the lack of bonds in this room) wants to talk about taking care of his ailing parents but Nate shuts him down kinda says it all. Compare that to Beard graciously telling Ted that he has the floor and then, once Ted is done, he asks if anyone else has a problem to unpack, including Roy. Nate's Diamond Dogs, beyond lacking the relationships necessary to work in the first place, feels like it's built on his own, stubborn self-interest; it was an attempted replacement for Rupert/formerly the social media/formerly Ted. What outside force is building up my self-confidence nowadays, especially when Richmond is on a winning streak? Nothing except a maybe girlfriend! Let's try to create a new source of validation.
Nate has undoubtedly improved a great deal throughout this season. I actually thought at first that he was improving too quickly and with, to my mind, no narrative explanation. It was only when I saw other fans pointing out the power of getting distance from those who have enacted real and perceived harm (AKA the club and Ted) that Nate's kinda-offscreen growth made a bit more sense to me. However, now I'm actually glad to see him failing in these ways. Trying to talk to Ted after the game, spotting Rupert's manipulation, fluff family time that makes no mention of his father's expectations, a perfect end to his terrible date, not caring that his box got crushed, not spitting in the mirror... it felt like the show was absolutely speed-running Nate's redemption arc because it's the last season, rather than allowing him to organically struggle with these issues and face on-screen events that act as a catalyst for his growth. To say nothing of how the show argues very strongly that growth has to be modeled/supported for an extended period of time... and Nate is without both this season, yet still seems to 'magically' be improving. Given where we left him, I kinda feel like I'm watching an alcoholic suddenly overcome their addiction while working in a brewery. Yeah, of course that's possible... but I very much expected this to happen in a different environment, or at least with far, FAR more support. So now, despite only having three episodes left, I'm reassured by the backslide. Nate refuses to wave to Ted in front of the crowd. He's still trying to suck up to Rupert, both over text and in person. He forms a group that, although oh-so-obviously modeled after Ted's, is really just a Nate the Great show. It feels like the show remembers that he has too much to work on to 'fix' it all with a girlfriend storyline. Nate is a very complicated character who needs a great deal of screen-time to come back from where we left him last season; frankly, more screen-time than he can feasibly get with just a few episodes left and a cast this large. Despite the potential pitfalls of that though, I think it's good that the season is reintroducing some of that complexity. Nate isn't just on a winning streak of his own with soft looks cast towards Richmond photos and an adoring girl in his bed. That need for external validation is still very much there and he's never going to fully come into himself until he realizes what the himbo boys did this season: Belief isn't a sign up on the wall, or a kind coach, or a girlfriend, or a Diamond Dogs group. Those all help support you, yes, but ultimately it has to come from within.

i say this with no ill intentions and i want to point out that i think it's mostly the huge difference between the very young teens/adults who watch the show vs the older people, a.k.a me and everybody else who is nearing 30 or is 30+ but joe is not an influencer. he's not a blogger/youtuber/streamer. he's an actor. he has a career and before eddie, while he wasn't known world-wide, he was still very good at his job and acting alongside amazing actresses/actors such as olivia colman and helen mirren. i wouldn't put it past me that if the duffer brothers and netflix hadn't point out that it'd be nice for him to have a social media to boost the audience's interest and interact with fans, he wouldn't even have made one. he doesn't need to be posting a pic every single day or every single month, the interviews will come to him, he'll probably do a lot of press for the movie and go back to posting to, again, interact and boost the audience. he's fine. he's a private person. celebrities can be private too. doesn't mean they'll fade into obscurity. it's been almost an entire year since st4 aired and joe trends every single time his name is mentioned in something. a football team just recently raised a huge poster of eddie playing guitar in the middle of a game. joe can't go to a con without trending for hours and hours. instagram doesn't mean anything. i've been a fan of pedro pascal every since oberyn. i've binge watched narcos so many times i know every line. when he got the role as mando, we all thought 'this is it. it's gonna be his biggest role.' and it was and it gave him plenty of new fans and opportunities. it was all we could talk about for a moment there. then it slowed down. and now with joel, holy shit, so many new fans, so many young fans---watching him grow as big as he is right now has been surreal 'cause i was there before he even had a million followers on instagram. now i think he's nearing 4 million and it's amazing. but it took him a while to get to these 4 million. and he never faded out. joe got to 8 million in like, what, a week? it's okay for him to lose followers. some were probably bots, others were fans who followed him during all the hype, others followed him probably thinking he'd be the kind of person to post bts pics and so on. it's not a big deal, it really isn't. jamie has been putting himself out there for a while, he's got his band but even with all that and the hype of st, he's at 5 million. which is already HUGE but i'm just trying to point out how big joe got and how many people gravitated towards him and some of them were probably just following the hype, which is totally fine too. so don't worry, joe's fine, he''s gonna be fine. had he dropped from 8 million to, say, 2 million ins the spam of a week then yeah, it'd be cause for worry. but you can notice the drop has been happening very slowly which really confirms it's just a matter of hype. keery himself couldn't stand being online anymore and deleted his instagram. sure he has a djo account but he keeps that account exclusively for djo content and his followers there are no where near the number he had on his 'personal' instagram. so again, it's fine, don't worry about social media. joe is very dreamy, very handsome, very charming but he is, above all, an amazing actor. he gives it his all no matter the role. no matter how small or big his involvement is. he's got this covered and i'm sure the love he gets from us only helps things. everything's fine.
I love you 💗
You perfectly explained the situation and I love you for the comparison with Pedro

My Boys
Tumblr media
The theme for this excerpt is the ghosts of boyfriends passed. Typically, talking crap about my ex’s is pretty common. I could probably speak for most when I say that. There’s also a lot of material there for some of these boys and 4 total worth mentioning. It took me awhile to recognize some of the good things my boys brought into my life, especially for boy #2 and #4. However, after giving it some thought I can honestly say that there were some pros as well.
Boy #1 ~ This is definitely the youngest boy that I’ve had in my life. Although, you do have to multiply that number by 7 which actually makes him 14 years older. He has a brown coat and a white stripe running down the middle of his face. He’s a goofball with a big personality and a red nose. He’s my dog. I listed this boy first because well .. he is. Boy #1 has brought me joy, dependable love and a maternal instinct.
Boy #2 ~ My highschool sweetheart. I’m not sure if sweetheart is the right word to use for this person because of all the toxicity that surrounded this 4 year relationship. Boy #2 was about 6ft tall, strong build with a sense of humor. He was a football player in high school but that’s not as cliche as it sounds.. our football team was terrible. We fell in love. Not the healthy kind though. From the start our relationship was based on manipulation, double standards and petty arguments. As young kids, you know no better.
Things really took a decline when we went to college. Boy #2 joined a frat and was heavily drinking. He was a sensitive guy and typically more on the shy side but with the power of liquid courage he was really able to step out of his shell. He became that guy that everyone wanted to get intoxicated to watch him do the most outrageous dumb shit. He was more of a liability than anything else and I had to step into a motherly role. Always having to make sure that he didn’t break this or didn’t get caught doing that. It was draining to have to keep it together all the time. The scariest part of it all was when he would blackout though. The look that he would get in his eyes. The glazed over, nobody's home look. Zombie mode, I called it. When he got to this point he became aggressive and it wasn’t any different with me. He put his hands on me a handful of times which is honestly surprising considering the amount of blackouts he was having. Anyway, you get the point. Not a good relationship. For this boy it was tough to think of any pros. I’ve been racking my brain for awhile but I think I’ve figured it out. Boy #2 built my character and gave me something to overcome. He taught me to never take shit like that again. He made me stronger, resilient and I thank him for that.
Boy #3 ~ My sweet love. He was about 6’3” and thin. He had luscious blonde hair and at first glance looked like a Californian surfer. This boy was about 3 years younger than me. My brother’s roommate actually. Boy #3 is the only one I’ve ever fallen head over heels for. We had the sweet kind of love. The kind that can make you stay in bed all day just talking and making love.
We dated for 2 and half years and on March 26th I peed on a stick and found out that I was pregnant. He wasn’t ready and his reaction wasn’t what I had hoped for. I understood that we were young and this wasn’t the right time but there was a part of me that wished for him to want this. 2 days after I told him the news, I got a call from a friend. She told me that my sweet luscious haired boyfriend was on a very provocative dating app. My world came crashing down. I knew that the last 6 months of our relationship wasn’t perfect and that we hadn’t been prioritizing eachother but this was the last thing that I expected. He broke me. He broke me for a while and honestly I would be lying if I said that I didn’t get emotional while writing this. Funny how life happens though and in my mind this was a sign from god that guided me (read the High Priestess below).
Boy #3 taught me a couple of things. First of all, he taught me how to cook. He was excellent in the kitchen which was extremely sexy too. For this skill, I don’t know how to thank him enough. The second thing that he taught me was that flirtatious, sweet, head over heels love does exist. I never knew the meaning of the word until I met him. They do say it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
Boy #4 ~ This boy was older than me by 5 years. He’s actually the oldest guy that I’ve ever dated which was my goal at the time seeing that boy #3 was much younger and afraid of commitment (more about boy #4 in The Knight of Cups).
Everything was very fast. We had moved in together and got engaged all within 8 months. He was pushy but at the time I was ready. Ready to settle down, ready to meet someone that was on the same page and ready to jump into something I guess. I let him push some of my boundaries at first but then I started to notice that he was trying to push every boundary I had. It became exhausting to fight every time I felt like I had to stand my ground. He chipped away at me like the splinters on a wooden plank. I lost my peace. 2 weeks after the engagement, I broke it off.
I was angry with myself for another failed relationship but with time I was able to see that I had made a personal stride. With my past boys I had beat our relationship into a pulp. Breaking up then getting back together but this time was different. I knew what was best for me, I acted and never looked back. I earned back some of my own trust and I was growing.
This boy knew a little more about computers than I did and he helped me to publish this blog. Thank you boy #4 for being the vessel to share my ideas.

I went thru my folder with old hockey magazines I had saved from around 2011 to 2015 and came across this one and thought it could be a fun to make a post about now in hindsight.
This is Jääkiekko magazine from May 2012, they always have a section of "99 questions with ..." and in this issue they interviewed Teräväinen.
I’ve translated the questions I found interesting under the cut! It ended up being about half of the interview. (*) are my additions.
On the cover "seuraava superjokeri" means the next super joker, he played for Helsingin Jokerit so it's a word play from that. Under, on the blue print it says: "The 17-year-old forward will become a first round draft pick in the summer. The natural goal scorer can dominate in SM-Liiga as soon as next season."
In the 2nd photo the headline and lead paragraph goes:
"A post with dents* - A year ago Teuvo Teräväinen was known only within a small number of hockey insiders. Few passers-by recognize him now either but after a flashy rookie season the Jokerit sensation is on the radar of every NHL team and is a strong contender to become a first round draft pick. Next season with Jokerit the talented second line center will be one of the main talking points in the SM-Liiga."
(*references the net Teräväinen had in his backyard and into which he practiced his shooting)
3. You've been described as a magician, top scorer, wunderkind and a prodigy. What do you think of these descriptions?
TT: Heh, those are some descriptions yeah. What can I really say? Don't really wanna comment on them much.
4. How nervous are you about the Draft?
TT: I try not to be nervous as best as I can. In a way I don't have anything to be nervous about since I don't care which team picks me or at what number I go.
6. Which is stressing you more, English interviews or physical tests?
TT: Maybe both. Bench press (laughs) and English interviews can be tough.
12. How far along have you planned your career with, for example, your parents or your agent?
TT: Haven't really planned things with others but I've thought about them myself. I try to go step by step and not jump too far ahead.
14. How does it feel to be so young with all the star players in Jokerit?
TT: How to say it? I haven't felt like I was young but a part of the team instead. The team's been very good with me and they haven't been looking down at me like: "oh he's young". It's been fun to play in an experienced team.
15. Is there a generational gap between players?
TT: You can see the age difference, older players look older but we're all childish, at least with our topics.
17. What does a 17-year-old do in the sauna nights of the team?
TT: I actually haven't been in any yet. I've always been at national team's camps or something.
19. Did you get the number you wanted?
TT: I did, yeah. I could've taken #18 but Semir (Ben-Amor) has it. But i'm happy with #86, it's good.
23. What are your strengths as a player?
TT: Offensive play and with that playing with the puck, passing, IQ, power play and skill, just the usual skill - skill with hands.
24. And weaknesses?
TT: They are to do with defensive play, strength and physicality. Battles and such but I think I took a step forward last season. That's a good thing.
25. Have you ever been "pressed into a mold" or has your playing style gotten to develop naturally?
TT: As a kid the play was mostly offensive/attacking, I didn't have to think about playing defence. Up until 15 years old, I got to attack pretty freely. Playing defence became more important when I started to play in A-juniors a couple seasons ago.
26. On a scale from 1 to 10 how determined are you?
TT: Maybe 8, feels like an 8.
32. What kind of role are you planning to take with Jokerit next season?
TT: I think a pretty big one. I try to be a top player and not just take others' example but give others example myself too. So that someone in the team can take something out of the way I do things on the ice and off the ice.
35. If you could pick anyone, who would be your car driver?
TT: Nico Manelius for sure. He's been my driver this season. I've had others too, like Riku Hahl but he's not nearly at the same level. Nico’s clearly the best.
36. What are the most important qualifications to be a good driver?
TT: The car is obviously important. Hahl's car is totally awful, he takes a lot of heat for it from the guys too. I wouldn't dare driving with him. Manelius is a steady performer, never lets you down.
38. What sports did you play as a 10-year-old?
TT: Hockey and floorball, probably football (soccer) during the summers at the time too.
42. When did you decide to focus only on hockey?
TT: So when I stopped playing other sports? Three years ago, before that floorball was kind of a side thing, I played a couple of games in the regular season and playoffs.
45. Do you follow floorball or other sports? Go to games?
TT: I don't go to games but I like to watch floorball on TV, it's an interesting sport. Sometimes I watch football too but I don't follow it much. Feels like they never score there.
47. Have you ever played with a wooden stick?
TT: As a kid I did play with a wooden stick.
49. You won the hockey players' golf tournament last summer even though there were more experienced players too. Are you good with all stick games?
TT: Well, I've been pretty good in all of them. I've played golf for a long time and still play it.
50. How is your swing?
TT: Pretty bold, kind of a hockey swing. I don't really care where the ball goes - as long as it goes far.
52. What do you think of off-ice training?
TT: Let's just say it's more stupid than being on the ice but you still gotta do it to be better on the ice.
56. Which word describes your professional relationship (with his coach, Tomek Valtonen), tranquil or colorful?
TT: Colorful of course. At times we're joking around, other times it's more serious but the relationship is really good.
57. Coaching you has been described in many words: good, bad, worse. What are they?
TT: Heh, well... I won't tell them here. He (Tomek) keeps the discipline during practices but sometimes when things haven't gone to a plan I've had to jump on an exercise bike in the middle of a practice.
58. What have been the reasons?
TT: I'll quote Tomek: "when I haven't been present".
59. Have you ever tried to turn the resistance of the bike to zero?
TT: (Laughs) Of course I have and sometimes I've even succeeded.
60. Describe your diet in three words?
TT: Greasy, healthy and good!
64. Your first name is not common for people your age. How did your parents come up with it?
TT: I actually don't even know. Maybe they didn't want a usual Ville*....
(*very common name for men of all ages in Finland)
66. Which of these is the most important: skill, unexpectedness or courage?
TT: Skill!
68. Your longest video game stint?
TT: Six hours, at least. I've played a lot of War of Duty lately.
72. The dumbest thing that has made you upset in hockey?
TT: Probably if I didn't get an assist on a goal even though I should have. Or even worse is if I score and they mark it down for someone else.
79. Have you had any concussions?
TT: I haven't had any, I've managed to always dodge them.*
(*ouch, tho it's good the recent one is his only as far as i remember)
84. In 2011 Team Finland finished in the 5th place at the U-18 tournament. Why only as 5th?
TT: Because we lost to Team Russia in the quarter final, just as well we could have won that game too.
89. You didn't get to be on the ice to accept the SM-Liiga bronze medal (because of the U-18's). When and where did you get it?
TT: I actually still haven't received it, I don't know where it is.
93. What is the population of Helsinki?
TT: There's like 5 million people in Finland so maybe around 500k in Helsinki? (to be exact 596k) Did i really get it right...?
94. Who's the mayor of Helsinki?
TT: I don't know, I barely know the president.
95. Do you think the municipalities in the capital city area should merge?
TT: Luckily I don't have to decide but they probably shouldn't.
96. What do you check first in the news paper?
TT: The sports section.
97. Your favorite tv show?
TT: Putous* was pretty good, I liked a lot of the characters. The grandma was pretty good.
(*Finnish live improvisation comedy/sketch show (there are still new seasons, the latest just finished). Every actor comes up with a humor character with a catchy phrase and one of them wins. "The grandma" is Marja Tyrni and I just got such flashbacks from typing this sentence.)
98. Last book you read?
TT: I don't read many books. The last book was a study book, a Finnish book. I wrote an essay on Tiki (Esa) Tikkanen's biography. An eventful book, great career and a lot of chirps.
99. Who should we ask the 99 questions next?
TT: Riku Hahl could have good stories, he's also seen a lot of the world.

Oscar Diaz-No Sharing
Written for a follower on wattpad
Enjoy guys! <3
~
It was your senior year, the year everything was suppose to be perfect. You already had the somewhat perfect life, at least in your own opinion. You were the top cheerleader and your boyfriend of two years just made captain on the varsity team. You had straight A’s and amazing friends...See? Perfect. That was until Oscar Diaz got out of jail and walked into your life a few weeks ago.
You met him the last weekend before school started back up at a party that you attended after a argument with your boyfriend. His party to be more precise. One thing led to another and somehow you ended up in his bed. Your boyfriend long forgotten as Oscar thrusted into you, his lips making sure to cover every single inch of your body. After that, you were hooked. The two of you meeting up almost every night for a secret rendezvous.
“What are you thinking about?” Oscar asks softly as you lay your head on his chest.
“Hm? Oh nothing, just the game tomorrow.”
“Damn I forgot you had a game tomorrow.” Oscar frowns, hating that practices and game days took up so much of your day,”You gonna come over after? You can stay the night.”
“Our first sleepover?” You smile as you sit up in the bed, the sheet falling into your lap and exposing your bare chest,”Sounds fun.”
“Well on one condition.” He smirks as he takes in your freshly fucked body,”You gotta bring your little uniform and put on a show for me.”
“You’re so lame.” You giggle as you throw the rest of the sheet off of you,”I’m not saying no, but I’ll let you know tomorrow.”
“Why? Plans with your little boyfriend?” Oscar asks, his mood completely changing,”You still letting him hit?”
“What? No!” You scoff as you search for your underwear,”I haven’t slept with him since I met you. Why are you even bringing him up?”
“I’m bringing him up because he’s obviously the reason you can’t give me a straight answer about tomorrow.” He says as he reaches for
his boxers and pulls them on from where he still lays,”I don’t know why you can’t just leave his ass.”
“Oscar.” You sigh softly as you pull on your underwear, followed by your t-shirt,”I’ve been with him for so long, I can’t just break it off for no reason.”
“Oh so I’m not reason enough?” Oscar asks with a raised eyebrow
“I didn’t mean it like that.” You say with a shake of your head as you stride over to the bed and straddle his lap, your hands on either side of his face,”You’re more than reason enough, but he’s not going to see it like that. I don’t want everybody to know that I did him dirty. Just give me a little more time and I’ll do it. I promise.”
“How long?” Oscar says with a scowl
“Few days, a week tops.” You shrug as you rest your forehead against his and let him hear what he wants,”Look we have a dinner planned with his family tomorrow after the game and then after that me and my little uniform are all yours. So lighten up Spooooky.”
“Aight, fine.” He says with a small smile,”I can’t wait till you’re only mine.” He adds, his hands sliding down to your ass and roughly squeezing it,”Never sharing you with anybody again. You’re only gonna be my girl.”
“Your’s.” You agree with a smile and pull your shirt off once more so you can remind him of that fact.
~
*Why are you ignoring me?* You read the seventh message from Oscar popping up on your screen before you glance at your boyfriend in the drivers seat who had picked you up this morning.
*Can’t talk right now. I’ll hit you up later.* you quickly reply before blocking his number and deleting the evidence. Already knowing that you’ll get a earful about it tonight, Oscar hating when you blocked him.
“We still on for tonight?” Aaron asks as he focuses on the road in front of him.
“Yeah. Totally.” You smile as you look over at him.
“Maybe I could sneak in tonight.” He offers hopefully.
“Oh...I don’t know. I think Sara was spending the night.” You lie with ease,”Sorry. She asked me yesterday.”
“Seriously babe?”
“Seriously what?”
“We haven’t done anything in weeks, I mean even the last time you kissed me was like a week ago. Is something going on?”
“Nothing’s gong on.” You groan,”I’m fine. Everything is fine, but I already said yes to Sara.”
“Then what’s up? Why have you been distant?”
“I’m not trying to be, I swear. I’m sorry if I’m coming off that way.”
“Do you still love me?” He asks, his eyes glancing over at you,”Cause it doesn’t feel like it lately.”
“Yes. Always.” You tell him, which wasn’t a lie. He was your best friend before he was your boyfriend, you’d always have love for him. He was your first everything which is why you feel like the shittiest person in the world right now.
“I love you more.” He reply’s contently with your answer and grabs your hand to press a small kiss to the back of it.
I’m the worst person ever. The thought replaying over and over again in your mind as you stare at Aaron with a sad smile as he continues the drive to school.
~
“Yeah! Let’s go boys!” You cheer as the football game resumes after half time. Your red and blue uniform ironed to perfection, your white sneakers a blinding white, and Aaron’s jersey number painted on your cheek.
“Yo! Y/N!” You hear a all to familiar voice yell from the sidelines,”Aye, turn your ass around ma!”
You slowly turn around and take in the scene before you, Oscar along with the core 4 seated in the first row of the stands. You offer a small wave with your Pom-Pom before turning around and trying to calm your nerves down. Of course he would show up here, you’ve been ignoring him since this morning. This was his way of getting innocent revenge, he knew him being here would make you squirm at the thought of Aaron possibly finding out about you two. You shake the thought and get back into your over preppy robotic persona with the rest of your squad. You try to focus on the game but every few minutes you catch yourself glancing back at Oscar.
“Winning touch down by Mr.Aaron Cardenas!” The announcer shouts, the crowd going crazy as the home team wins a while later. You shout out in victory and do one final jump before your boyfriend comes over and picks you up.
“Did you see that?!” He asks out of breath as he spins you around one time.
“I did, good job.” You smile and wrap your arms around his neck. His face inching towards yours for a kiss,”You’re all sweaty.” You object and turn your head to the side, Aaron not liking this and setting you back down.
“It’s never been a problem before.” He says,”What’s going on Y/N?”
“Nothing, I already told you.” You say with a small reassuring smile,”Just go hop in the shower so we can get going. I don’t want to keep your parents waiting.”
“No, you’ve been being distant so I’m going to ask you again. What’s up? And don’t lie to me, we’ve known each other for far too long. Just be real with me Y/N.”
“I can’t tell you Aaron. At least not here, so please can we just hurry and go with your parents.” You tell him quietly as you look at anywhere but him.
“No.” He says with a shake of his head,”I’m done tonight. If you can’t be honest with me then what’s the point of us being together. It seems like we both need some time for our selves.”
“Aaron I.” You begin to object but get cut off by him.
“Stop.” He says with a sigh,”Hit me up when you actually want to act like a girlfriend, or don’t. I don’t care at this point.” With those final words he picks up his helmet and bag from the ground and heads for the locker rooms. You can’t help but get teary eyed as you gather the rest of your things, not bothering to shower or change. You just wanted to get out of here and fast.
“Where you think you going? Walking past me like I’m a fucking stranger.” Oscar smacks as you walk by him as he leaned on the hood of his car with his arms crossed,”You still ignoring me?”
“I’m going home.” You reply as you stop in your tracks and slowly turn to face him with tears in your eyes,”Can I please do that? I know you’re angry, but can we just do this tomorrow?”
“Get in the car.” He says as he pushes himself forward and snatches your bag,”Lets go.” He demands and tosses your belongings in the back before sliding into the drivers seat. A small huff escapes you as you walk over to the car and climb in. You didn’t really feel like walking anyway.
“Go on then. Take me home.” You say after buckling up.
“Nah.” He says with a shake of his head as he reaches into the back seat and grabs a rag,”And take that stupid shit off your face. You’re my girl not his.” Oscar orders as he tosses the rag into your lap.
“If you’re going to be a dick just let me get out right now.” You warn as you reach for the door handle.
“Chill. I’m just saying that I don’t want to see his fucking jersey number on your face.” He says as he stops your actions by pulling out of the parking spot.
“Yeah well he’s not a issue anymore, you obviously know that since I’m currently in your car and not with him.”
“Is that why you’re crying?” Oscar asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Yes.” You say as you wipe at a fallen tear with a shake of your head,”I feel like shit.”
“He found out about us?” He asks confusedly
“No. He just said that I was being distant and acting weird so he dumped me.”
“I don’t really see the problem ma.” Oscar shrugs,”You were going to break up with him anyway.”
“Yes Oscar but I still feel like a horrible person.” You snort,”You wouldn’t understand...and I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” You add as you pull down the visor and begin to rub at your cheek with the rag.
Oscar doesn’t reply and opts for turning the radio on instead so you can recompose yourself. It’s not until the car is parked in the driveway that he speaks,”You gonna be okay?” He asks, annoyed at the reason you were upset but keeping it to himself so he could try to help you feel better.
“I’m okay.” You nod,”I just needed to get that out...and I did. So let’s go in, yeah?” You sniffle offering a small reassuring smile. You don’t regret what you had going on with Oscar because what you two shared was special. He made you feel things that Aaron never could, how could you regret that? The only thing that you wish you could change was how the whole relationship started. It’s to late for that though, now it’s time to live in the present. In the present with Oscar,”It’s our first sleep over and I promised you a little show. You don’t want to miss it, do you?” You smirk as you hurry out of the car, the older Diaz brother hot on your heels.
~
“Who’s girl are you?” Oscar asks sleepily as the two of you cuddle under his sheets after a few wild rounds.
“Your girl.” You reply with a lazy smile.
“Hm, that’s right.” He grins as he nuzzles his face into your neck,”Say it again.”
“I’m your girl. Only yours.”
“Yeah, my girl.” He says as he let’s his eyes close, the two of you dozing off moments later, this being the first night of many for you two.

Translation: Julian Brandt Interview for “11 Freunde” (June 18, 2020)
Attention: long post! Julian talks about overblown salaries in football, why he even stays at two-star hotels, why he thinks football should not be dramaticly reformed and why you won’t see him in Gucci clothing & more.
Tumblr media
Julian Brandt, what do you miss the most at the moment?
Ju:     Just going outside and sitting in a café with some friends. Enjoying a bit more freedom. But I think many people have the same wishes right now.
Yet, the break because of the Corona pandemic seem to have lifted you. You were involved in all four goals during the 4-0 win against Schalke.
Ju:     I would still have preferred it, without the break. I mean it’s like this: sometimes you need just a few days to arrive at a place, sometimes it takes months. Feeling well in a city, a club and with my teammates is important. I’m a football player that needs a comfortable environment.
How was it for you at BVB in the beginning?
Ju:     There were definitely no fireworks at the beginning. But honestly, I kind of expected to need more time. I think thats normal after five and a half years at Bayer Leverkusen. It was a great time there, but in the end it was a comfort zone for me. I switched to BVB because I wanted to do something new.
And because Marco Reus asked you.
Ju:     Many people were in favour of me going to Dortmund. Even my mother wore yellow pullovers astonishingly often, during the time before my transfer happend. And Marco asked me at the national team, that’s true. I felt honored, but I saw a chance playing for a team which plays competitively for the title until the end of the season and is represented in the Champions League regularly, those were the main reasons for my transfer.
What else is different in Dortmund than in Leverkusen?
Ju:     Dortmund is bigger in almost every regard. Even the stadium is enormous and it becomes even more imposing with people in it. Building such a stadium somewhere is one thing. Brining it to live however like in Dortmund – that’s an art in and of itself. You don’t get that very often in Europe. Leverkusen – and I have to be honest here – has never been on my radar for me as a boy. But it’s the perfect club if you want to develop as a young player. I already suspected this after I talked to Rudi Völler for the first time.
Tumblr media
I was told, you said „Rudi Völler has honest eyes“ to your father afterwards.
Ju:     He has a sincere attitude. I would have believed everything he said. And his promises became reality. We were playing attractive and successful football. And you don’t get so much pressure as a young player from the outside. The media landscape for example is much smaller in Leverkusen than elsewhere.
Do you miss the fans in the stadium in Dortmund?
Ju:     I was never that guy who was aware of stuff that happend on the stands. But after the game against Inter Mailand, where we were behind 0-2 before the break and won 3-2 in the end – I recognized how important football is for the people here and how much they were willing to support us. It was so honest, authentic and direct. One of the best games thus far.
Before that Michael Rummenigge critized you as „C-youth player“. That was after the Inter game where you scored as well. Was that a key moment?
Ju:     Everybody can voice their opinions that’s totally fine for me. I’m not a person who jumps on it.  And I wasn’t really satisfied with my game as well. Perhaps the 2-1 win against Gladbach a few days before was a turning point. Not only, because I scored twice, but rather because I was able to play on the ten for the first time. After that my game became better.
You said in the beginning of your time at BVB „Peter Bosz liked the risk. We don’t really have that here in Dortmund“. Did the way you play now changed?
Ju:     We play nice football under Lucien Favre. He likes an offensive tactic. Adding that, we score alot of goals. But Peter Bosz was a special coach in that regard because we played a modern version of football with a high amount of ball possesion – often over 80 percent. And we not only wanted to keep the ball all the time, while playing until our opponent gets tired like it’s the case with tiki-taka football. We were always on the attack. At BVB we put more emphasis on the defensive at the beginning. It was a change for me, since I wanted to have the ball and not running behind him all the time.
Tumblr media
Is football an elegant game?
Ju:     My room as child was full of „Bravo“-magazine posters with offensive players. Nedved, Robinho, Del Piero and the best among the best: Ronaldinho. I liked it whenever players carry their street football skills to the pitch. Whenever somebody is looking for something spectacular. I want to gamble and not just act in a rigid system.
Doesn’t modern tactics prevent something like this?
Ju:     You are basically being funneled at youth football academies with: receive the ball, passing, receiving, passing. There a strict requirements you have to follow. But I think good teams need self-confident players, saying „No, I won’t fit in, but I rather go into a one-on-one situation“. We have such guys in our national team. Leroy Sané or Timo Werner. Kai Havertz is a player who has a street football mentality too. Often it looks very easy, but it’s not. It just passed over into blood.
You are wearing the jersey number 10 at the national team. Like you also wore at Leverkusen. Does that do something with you?
Ju:     I feel lighter in some sense. Perhaps because I know that you have to earn the number ten. Not like in the past, but I do think it has a certain meaning yes.
We heard you don’t like to talk about your strengths. Why?
Ju:     I think, it looks like I’m a show off. I have enough self-confidence already.
Yet you do know that you can shoot really good. Who taught you?
Ju:     Many things happened because I just tried. I even knew as a ten-year old boy: if I want to become a great football player I have to be able to shoot well with both feet. So, for weeks I shoot with my left foot on our lawn. Shot, flank, pass. It helped a lot. I met Federico Palacios during my youth time in Wolfsburg. He taught me insane techniques. I had a phase were I was obsessively training my first contact: not trying to stop the ball between the lines, but rather take the ball without defender nor midfielder getting the ball instead.
What are your weaknesses?
Ju:     My headers. But I’m currently working on it and I often score. At least without opponent (laughs). Some people say I can work more on my defensive work. And yes, there is some truth to it, even after I already worked on it for quite some time. The thing is: I’m not an aggressive person, its not who I am. But of course, I understand whenever coaches say I need to have a certain minimum amount of aggressive behavior on the pitch.
Do you have a career plan?
Ju:     No, everything I do, I do spontaneously.
But everything you do looks so reasonable: youth football for your home club. Training at a football academy in Wolfsburg. Professional debut at Bayer Leverkusen, your transfer to BVB a year ago…
Ju:     Honestly: I could not have imagined going to VfL Wolfsburg as well at the beginning. Why should a boy do this, when he basically grew up just a 20 minute bike ride away from the Weser stadium in Bremen and was standing in the fan curve in his youth?
Tumblr media
Because Werder [Bremen] overlooked you?
Ju:     That’s not true. I even got invited to a try-out training. But then I looked at some other academies. I wasn’t only looking at VfL Wolfsburg. For example I looked at FC St. Pauli as well. Yet, I had the best feeling with Wolfsburg.
Why?
Especially during the ages 15 to 18 a lot is happening: you grow, your muscle mass is increasing, you slowly get to play with the professionals. On the other hand, many doors are opening. Your friends go partying for example. I liked being on a football academy for two and a half years. You couldn’t leave the campus after 11 o’clock in the evening. Apart from that we were very successful and won the German a-youth championship. But I can still remember how perplexed my parents were at the breakfast table, back when I told them about my decision to join Wolfsburg.
You are being called the “Anti-Star” of the business quite often. Does that do something with you?
Ju:     Many people seem to think it’s probably because I have no tattoos and my father is my agent. But to be honest: there are some football player clichées I fit in. I like fast cars. I like playing playstation and I have 40 pairs of shoes in my closet. I just try not to pretend to be someone else. I wouldn’t look good in a Gucci-pullover.
Others like to call you “premature”. You were allowed to train with the professionals at the age of 15 in Wolfsburg. How did you do that?
Ju:     That was insane and unreal. I was riding my bike to the training ground one day and the assistant coach Bernd Hollerbach took me to his side and said: “Introduce yourself to the coach”. So, I went into his office. “Hello Mr. Magath, I’m Julian from the under-17 team.” Of course, I was suspecting he already knew me otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten an invitation. But he was just staring at the television. After a while – it felt like an eternity – he looked at me, didn’t say a word, total silence and then he turned away. And then I was sneaking out of the room.
Magath wanted to test you?
Ju:     I was unsettled a bit, but I wasn’t thinking about it anymore on the pitch. It doesn’t matter who is on your side, or whether your opponent is twenty years older than you and who your father is.
Did you nutmeg someone?
Ju:     I would have been beaten for that. On the other hand: the pain fades away, the nutmeg stays (laughs). I remember I unintentionally shoot a ball into Marvin Hitz’s face.
Tumblr media
How many agents were lining up at your doorstep at the time?
Ju:     I stopped counting it after a while. I don’t think all agents are bad but I don’t need one at the moment. I have my father. He may not be Mino Raiola with thousands of contacts all over the world. But he doesn’t need them.
Nevertheless: this son-father-constellation also has it’s potential conflicts…
Ju:     Our family sticks together – we are very harmonic and strong. I can’t remember a time where we were had an argument. I lived together with my brother in Cologne. I also have a connection with my father because of football. He used to play for the first team at SC Borgfeld – which was also my first club. I still remember: we went into the clubhouse whenever the Champions League was on. It was the best day of the week.
Tumblr media
Now it’s about big business. Do you know your own worth?
Ju:     It was downgraded since the outbreak of the pandemic. I read that on so some sites.
But it’s still 40 million euros. What does such a number do with you?
Ju:     I can handle that because I can manage those numbers quite well. There is a lot money floating around in football. And I know its not easy to comprehend it with normal standards anymore. We live in our own bubble in that regard. The salaries in football are in no relation to what normal people earn – even with football being the greatest sport on earth. But why is that the case? Because sponsors are flushing so unbelievable high amounts of money into football. I think it’s important not to make the sport a luxury item. It has to stay affordable. In the stadium as well as in front of the TV.
Explain to us: why does a professional football player negotiate whether he should get 10 or 11 million euros per year?
Ju:     It shows how greedy people can be sometimes. But that’s not football specific. It’s as unfair as the richest one percent of the world’s population owning more than half of the world’s wealth, right?
Could this crisis perhaps be a chance in order for football to calm down?
Ju:     Perhaps in the short term. For the next one or two years. If any. I can’t imagine a player like Mbappé being sold next year for 80 million euros. Someone will always pay those insane sums of money.
How do you ground yourself?
Ju:     Through my family and friends. Many are studying or doing an apprenticeship. It’s never about money when we talk, I just like having a great time with them. We don’t need a luxury vacation. But one time: we went to Mallorca for four or five days just as we qualified for the Champions League with Bayer Leverkusen. We stayed at a normal two-star-hotel, one room with a bed and a bathroom – that was it. We went to the beach and relaxed.
Tumblr media
Has there never been a situation where a friend or family member had to take you back to the ground?
Ju:     No. I can’t remember that I ever reacted arrogant or snooty. Or a situation where I thought: “Wow. That’s not who you are”. I’m fully aware of my very privileged life. In short: my greatest worry is whether we will win or loose on the weekends. It’s important to be thankful and to remind yourself what you got every once in a while.
Why do you have to remind yourself stuff like that all the time?
Ju:     In order for it never to become normal. I know cheese costs about 69 cents at the grocery store and a different one costs 1,29 euros. But if a tool or device breaks down I sometimes just buy myself a new one. Whereas in the past I would have repaired it by myself.
But is football still the same game you fell in love with as a kid?
Ju:     Absolutely. The game itself hasn’t really changed much. Okay, we have the goal line technology – which I support. And we got the video assistant referee, were people can argue. I abstain in that question. Once in a while, new ideas are being floated: like reducing the playtime to 60 minutes, new tournaments, elite leagues – I think it’s all bullshit. Keep football like it is. The way we learned it. With all its faults and tricky aspects. Even if something goes wrong.
Like during the World Cup 2018. Did you know that you could be the first DFB-team leaving the tournament after the group stage?
Ju:     At some point he heard of it. It doesn’t really look good on your vita but it happened. Perhaps we needed this in order for something new to emerge. You have to remember: other great football nations also failed in similar ways. Italy, Spain or France all crashed out of the group stage after they won the World Cup.
Did the photo with Mesut Özil and Erdogan brought some unrest into the team?
Tumblr media
Ju:     The fact that almost all reporting was revolving around that topic was irritating sometimes. Don’t get me wrong: I think its important for the media to cover political topics extensively and with background stories. But I remember after the game against Sweden – after we barely won because of Toni Kroos free kick: shortly after the game you get asked whether the poor performance during the first 75 minutes were due to the photo – and you thinking: why don’t we talk about the game? Mesut became the poster boy for the disappointing World Cup. That’s nonsense. We all played shitty.
During the Confed-Cup the year before, many young players were in the team. At the World Cup the established players came back. Did Löw put his trust into the wrong players in Russia?
Ju:     You can come to that conclusion afterwards, but you don’t know it in advance. I could fully understand Low though. He was loyal and in some cases he felt some gratitude. He couldn’t and he didn’t want to replace a World Cup winner from 2014 with a young player. The way we were defeated at the World Cup was not foreseeable. Because we also played great football between 2014 and 2018.
The team made it to the semifinals at the EURO 2016 and you became second with the Olympic football team in Rio.
Ju:     A great experience with a team that was just thrown together. A contribution of Horst Hrubesch.
Tumblr media
What makes him special?
Ju:     He is just great, the guy! He’s from a different generation which you can tell with a lot of things around him. Once he wanted to show me how to shot from the side. I almost tore my muscle fiber doing it. But he manages it very well forming a team with young players. He’s a very free coach and very direct. He always called me lazy (laughs). And he has a very nice and dry sense of humor.
An example?
Ju:     Me and the Bender-twins were sitting together shortly before the semifinal against Nigeria. He came up and said: “Guys, losing today doesn’t make any sense anymore.” A funny sentence, but also true if you think about it.
Julian Brandt, you made over 200 Bundesliga games, played Champions League and participated in one World Cup. You just turned 24. Do you even still have time to suck it all in and enjoy it?
Ju:     Football is quick. I can still remember coming to Leverkusen – as if it was yesterday: my first game for the under 23 team against Essen. My Bundesliga debut against Schalke a week later. That was a little more than six years ago already. Crazy. Veteran players always say: “Enjoy it, because quickly your career will be over.” But how should you enjoy it? A game every four or five days. New photos, new events. You don’t have an awful lot of time to let everything sink in for a moment. I usually do that on new years eve. On a friend’s balcony. I even get sentimental then.

so now that its been over a year since ive graduated high school id like to tell you all a story that ive been thinking about a lot recently. its a bit long, but i promise its worth it.
this post gets political, fair warning
for context: i went to high school in a very upper middle class, very white town. everyone i talk about in this story is white.
trigger warning: mentions of the german political administration during ww2, their tactics, and extreme right politics
junior year i took ap us history. the class itself was absolutely fantastic, definitely one of the best i took in high school. but we had Quite the assortment of kids...
my high school had this dumb thing called the university program. essentially you applied in 8th grade and it was advertised as this Special Accelerated Learning Program. spoiler alert: it was pretty stupid, all we did was take a certain number of ap classes per year and do x amount of community service. everyone hated it but we all stuck it out cause you got a chord at graduation. so if you were in the university program, you started only being in class with like a variation of the same 75 people. ap us history was one of those classes.
in our class we had quite the mix: 98% of us were members of national honor society but in addition we had the girl who would go on to be the salutatorian, this one guy who knew more about bitcoin than anyone should, two football players who were actually not assholes, and this really passionately german kid.
now this german kid, were going to call him s. he was...interesting. he was very very smart (everyone thought he was going to be valedictorian but he wasn't) but he took his ethnicity very seriously. and when i say ethnicity im referring to that period of german history from 1939-1945. s knew far too much about german politics, esp ww2 german politics (if youre picking up what im putting down there) and he often went as far as to “correct” our various teachers whenever germany came up and talk about very radical right ideas. but our apush teacher was a no-nonsense kinda lady and had no problem telling him “s youre wrong” which all of us absolutely Loved.
the other person in our story is one of the not asshole football players. we’ll call him d. he was what you Wished football players were like, nice, funny, almost like a class clown, would no doubt stand up for anyone getting shit talked, talked to everyone in class no matter what their “group” was and he was really smart, but not in an in your face kinda way like s was.
so anyway. in apush we would periodically have these Round Table Debates, where there were 4 groups: 1 group of jurors who would ask questions and then three teams that were defending their own stance on whatever historical argument we were having. our teacher would sit in the back corner and take shorthand notes on what we were saying, essentially leaving the entire discussion up to us except to tell us when it was time to move on to the next group. we all Loved round table debates because we were all an intelligent group and ended up having really deep and insightful debates and also whichever team won got 5 points of extra credit as did the juror who asked the best questions. about halfway through the year, we had a debate on what to do with the philippines after world war 2 (because they were technically a us colony at that time)
i dont remember what the three different stances were that we were arguing, but i do remember that d was one of the jurors and had asked one of the teams a question. s happened to be on this team and he answered the question. they went back and forth for awhile and things started to get Pretty Heated. we were all watching them intently, not really understanding a good half of what was being said because s had a way of talking in complicated circles that took at least 5 braincells minimum to understand, and all of us being crazy ap students, only had about 2 brain cells each.
but then, s said something in his usual backwards fashion, and d paused dramatically, staring at s intently and all of us were collectively like o shit. i have never heard a classroom that quiet, you could hear a literal pin drop. we were all waiting for 1. d to decipher what s had just said and 2. see what he was going to say in return.
several long moments passed. d leaned forwards in his seat, so far that it looked like he was going to tip the desk over, and, looking completely and utterly baffled, opened his mouth and said:
“are you defending e t h n i c   c l e a n s i n g?”
the entire classroom e r u p t e d. cause holy shit, we all knew that s had some, to put it very simply, problematic conservative viewpoints that linked back to ww2 administration germany, but no one had ever called him out on it before (aside from our teacher telling him to be quiet during her lectures). and also this was supposed to be a history role play debate of sorts, the whole point of it was to take on a viewpoint that might not be your own and argue it to the best of your ability. but d knew and everyone else in the class knew that ethnic cleansing was not something that s was pretending to defend for the sake of the debate (public school might be wild but we never touched that topic in a debate setting because our teacher knew that it would make people uncomfortable to argue in favor of), it wasn't even in the prompt sheet, it was something that he had come up with entirely on his own.
so when s started spewing random nonsense as an attempt to backtrack and take back what he had just said, d started shouting back at him about how it was wrong and was halfway out of his seat, fists clenched, ready to literally fight s (if you recall, d was a football/baseball/wrestling guy, at least 6 feet tall, and as far as high school guys go, pretty jacked. he was Scary when he was mad)
it was at this exact moment that our teacher spoke up (which she n e v e r did during debates). she looked pretty shocked at the whole turn of events (as in, s defending ethnic cleansing, not d almost decking him) (and nothing ever phased her) and said, as calmly as she could muster, “alright. lets move on to the next question.”
we were all 16/17 year olds. we couldn't vote yet, but we still had very strong opinions. and d knew the implications of s’s opinions, knew that they were hurtful to other people, promoted the hurting of other people, and called him out on it. publicly. in front of our history class, filled with his friends and peers, our teacher, and some of the smartest kids in our grade.
after that day, s never suggested radical right ideas in class again, and if anyone else had similar ideas, they kept them to themselves. and from that point on d had my complete and utter respect.
now, im not telling you to almost beat up your classmate in class in front of your teacher and risk suspension, but if someone you know has a viewpoint (especially a young person) that is hurtful or promotes hate/harm to a group of people, dont be afraid to try and educate them. we might be young and the older generations might brush us off, but in a few years its going to be this generation pulling most of the weight in polls. educate your ignorant friends, family members, classmates etc. every little bit helps. and education is the only way that we will be able to promote change. this is not a battle that we are going to win overnight, but that doesnt mean we should ignore it if it doesnt affect us.
(oh and yes, d totally got 5 extra credit points from that debate)
((if this post offends anyone or is wrong in any way let me know and ill take it down or edit it))

Elorcan Modern AU Chapter 5 Elide’s POV
You have got to be kidding me. Lorcan Salvettere is my partner for a 6 week project. I officially have the worst luck in history, I mean how mad must my luck me to have to be partnered with him. I guess Ms. Ansel must have finished reading the names because the time I get out of my shock people are meeting up with their partners. I look up to see Lorcan walking over, with a slightly nervous face. What does he have to be nervous about? He’s not the one who almost got pushed over and apparently might be playing some sort of game with me.
“ Hey..” Lorcan quietly as he sat down next to me.
“ Hey..”
After a couple more minutes of awkward silence Ms. Ansel came around and gave us the topic we would write a debate about.
“ So... when do you want to me.” I asked quietly.
“ Um... I can’t do tonight and after school I have football practice until 4 everyday.”
“ Oh um.. maybe Wednesday at 5:00 we can meet at the public library?”
“ Sure that works.”
“ Great...”
Another couple of moments of awkward silence and of course we both decide to talk at the same time.
“ Oh you can go first” I saw quickly.
“ Oh um.. I just wanted to say sorry about PE class. You seemed pretty uncomfortable.”
I was shocked, I totally forgot that he was there in class when I explained my ankle and was basically embarrassed in front of the whole class.
“ It’s fine, people would have found out at some point.” I said quietly
“ Well I’m sorry that happened to you. I saw you limping earlier and I thought it was because of this morning.”
“ Oh no, I was fine, just shocked this morning. Not the best way to start a new school by almost being pushed to the ground by a door.”
“ Ya, I am sorry about that. I was just frustrated about football.”
“ Like I said it’s fine and you technically already did apologize for it during history. I guess we some sort of odd luck. I mean your the one who I almost ran into, sat next to each other in history, and now this..” I say and immediately regret it.
I looked at him and saw he seemed kinda nervous and uncomfortable. And your stream of luck continues Elide you just started to be fine and you just had to go and ruin it.
“ I guess so. We definitely have some sort of odd luck. “
Thank god, hopefully that doesn’t get brought up again.
“ Yeah.. I guess we can go over some of the basics of this project now, we still have some time before class ends.”
“ Oh sure..”
We talked with ease about different stuff about school and the project for the rest of class. I don’t really get what Aelin and the rest of them were going on about during lunch, Lorcan seemed like a nice guy. Soon the bell rang and school was over for the day.
“ Well I will see you tomorrow morning.” I said quickly as I went to go find one of my new friends and tell them what happened.
“ See ya.”
After leaving class I walked towards the doors to leave school when I saw my friends talking to Maeve and the rest of the Cadre. Somehow Lorcan was already there and he seemed like a different person. I walked closer and I could hear insults being thrown around, including some my Lorcan. Who was this person because it was not the person I was just talking to in class.
“ Well if it isn’t the new little crippled girl,” I hear Maeve say as I walk closer to them.
I see Lorcan look at me with shock and his cold front started to come down.
“ Don’t you dare talk to her like that!” Aelin yells at her.
“ Why should I. I mean she is crippled with her poor little ankle.”
“ Shut it or you will regret it you little bitch.” Manon steps in.
I see Maeve look a little more hesitate as Manon steps in along with Rowan and Dorian.
“ Let’s go boys, we will see the little cripple tomorrow,” Maeve said.
They walked away and I looked at Lorcan and I could see regret and disappointment in his eyes as he walked away with Maeve and the Cadre.
“ Sorry about that Elide, they are a bunch of bullies and bitches,” Aelin says as she goes to hug me.
“ Oh it’s fine, I was expecting it at some point.”
“ Still doesn’t make it right, so how was the rest of the school day?”
“ Oh, um it was good. I got paired with Lorcan for the debate project.” I said not really showing that I was worried about it or that it was a big deal.
I looked around at them with shock and disgust on their faces.
“ You got paired with Salvettere. Maeve’s favorite little cronie and devoted to her?”  “ Oh, ya that’s him. Don’t worry we talked during class and were all good. We’re meeting Wednesday after school at the library to start working on the project.”
They still all looked mad and worried.
“ You and Lorcan worked it out?” Lysandra asked me.
“ Yeah, he apologized again for this morning and about PE class and we talked some about school and the project.”
They looked even more shocked which I didn’t know was possible.
“ He apologized to you to your face?” Rowan asked like it was totally unbelievable.
“ Yeah, I still don’t get why your making a big deal about this. He was nice to me.”
“ Well I don’t know what magic powers you posses Miss Lochan but if you somehow got the Lorcan Salvettere to apologize and be nice to you I defiantly like you.” Aelin said, “ Hey the rest of the girls are coming over to my house for dinner now, do you want to come?”
Now it was my turn to look shocked.
“ Seriously, you want me to come over.”
“ Yeah, your one of us now, and like I said earlier, you’re stuck with us.”
I smiled and was so glad that I really had made a good group of friends.
“ Yeah, let me text my uncle that I won’t be there until later tonight, you guys head out I will be there in a sec.”
They walked away and I was so excited but realized I don’t know what my uncle will say. I take out my old phone which only has his number on it and call him. It rings for a little bit before I hear my uncle’s drunk voice on the other end.
“ What do you want,” he grumbles.
“ Hey, I made some friends at school and they asked if I wanted to have dinner with them.”
“ You made friends, ha!”
“ Yeah I did, so can I go?”
“ hmm.. fine.” and he hung up.
I was relieved he seemed to be in one of his better moods. I quickly got my bags and went to met my friends. I saw them by a white BMW which I assume is Aelin’s.
“ Hey there you are, you ready?” Aelin asked.
“ Yeah my uncle said it’s fine. Let’s go.”
Aelin, Manon, Lysadnra, and I all got into the car, me in the back seat next to Manon. Manon seemed like a girl that many people were scared of, but I had a knack for seeing through people’s façade. I could tell that she was a nice person deep down.
“ So where do you live Elide?” Lysandra asked me.
“ Oh, um about a ten minute walk from school on Hollin Ave.”
“ Oh perfect. When I drop you guys off Lysandra your house is on the way to Manon from Lyandra’s house,” Aelin said
“ Oh you don’t have to drop me off. I can walk or get and Uber or something.”
“ Nonsense, it’s on the way and there’s no way I’m letting you walk in the dark,”
After a couple minutes we pulled into a house, that was more of a mini castle. I mean it was ginormous with pillars at the front with vines growing and was two stories tall with a stone drive in and a gate.
“ The girls often come over here to hang out. It’s practically like a second home to them, so welcome to your second home Elide.”

angst #10 for the prompts!
Takes place sometime in Pt. 4
“How was I such an idiot, to believe that you, out of all people, could ever love me?”
It rocked her, but didn’t come as a total surprise when Nicholas Scratch showed up to Baxter High.  He fit in easily, slipping into the Baxter High Halls and into a Letterman Jacket.  Sabrina had never seen him play a sport in his life but of course he picked up football quickly because he was Nick and good at damn near everything.
He and the rest of the teenage Coven had started mortal high school at the beginning of the year.  With Blackwood at large with his terrors and the dismantling and crippling of the Churches of Darkness, they had needed to lay low.
She’d seen him for the first time up close since the defeat of the Pagans in class.  He’d been around, but she’d made herself scarce all Summer, and they hadn’t spoken.  He waltzed his way into Drama Class with that jacket and a smirk, a spitting image of the Nick from Batibat’s dream.  He’d made a beeline for her, said hey, Spellman and took his seat.
After the initial greeting he didn’t bother her much, mostly sticking to himself and the Weird Sisters.  He was popular, but didn’t form any deep relationships, retreating into himself or corners of the library.  He came to learn he had to avoid it though, memories of Sabrina in a red dress by a roaring fire plagued him, flooding his brain with vengeful familiars that ruined their tender moment.
Sabrina struggled to see him every day in all of her classes.  She had thought Baxter High would be where she could go to avoid him.  Since her feelings weren’t going anywhere, and candle spells proved to be unhelpful, she thought she could count on school being a safe space.
After ignoring her for months, Sabrina had finally had it one afternoon before Fall Break after witnessing some cheerleader give Nick her phone number by his locker.  He looked confused, not sure what the numbers on the piece of paper were, but shrugged and put it in his pocket.  Her rage had been building for months.  But the fact that he was willing to be with a mortal, one he barely knew, and not her?  That sent her torpedoing over the edge.  He had no idea what was coming for him when she stomped over and slammed his locker shut.  There was fire in her eyes that he hadn’t seen in a while.
“Sabrina, what are you-?”
“What the Hell, Nicholas!”  She boomed.  He looked at her confusedly.
“Yes, Sabrina?”  He treaded lightly.  He knew Sabrina too well and when she was upset about something her mind was made up.
“It’s really not a good idea for you to start dating a mortal, Nicholas.”  Sabrina crossed her arms.  He raised his eyebrows at her.  He didn’t dare call out her jealousy that he could feel coming off of her.
“Um, I’m not dating a mortal?”
“Then what was that phone number you just got?”  Sabrina raised her eyebrows now.  Nick smirked as he pulled out the crumpled piece of paper.
“Oh is that what this is for?”  Nick held open his hand as the paper went up in flames and disappeared before their eyes.  “Don’t need it.”
“I know you.  You could have memorized it already.”  Sabrina raised her chin and Nick did his very best not to roll his eyes.  Sure Sabrina may be annoyed that some nameless cheerleader gave him a seemingly important piece of paper.  But that’s not why she had approached him after so many months.  Not really.
“Sabrina why are you really over here?”  He asked her bluntly and when she opened her mouth to retort he cut her off.  “Because we both know it’s not about me dating some mortal.  We also both know I wouldn’t do that.”
Her armor began to crack and Nick took notice.  She used to like it when he called her out, but now the gaze he was giving her was knowing and it made her uneasy.  It wasn’t fair that they knew each other but couldn’t have each other.
Then in perfect Sabrina Spellman fashion, as if it was Hellfire itself flowing from her fingertips, her eyes were ablaze again.
“Honestly?  I’m standing here trying to figure out how it is we ever dated when you won’t even talk to me.”
“I’m talking to you right now.”  He was avoiding.  They both knew it.
“You know what I mean.”
“It’s complicated, Sabrina.”  Nick shifted on both of his feet.  He had a suspicion this conversation was headed towards a place he wasn’t ready to venture.
“Too complicated to offer me an explanation?  For any of it?”  Sabrina raised her voice slightly.
“Spellman-”
“No.  Don’t you call me that until you can explain how any of this makes sense.  The lying, the cheating, the pushing me away, the breaking up with me.”  Sabrina counted on her fingers and with every word Nick felt his heart rate pick up.  “Do you even have an explanation?  For hurting me, the person you loved, and then ignoring her for months?”
“Sabrina, I-”  Nick’s thoughts were racing.  How could he explain it to her when he didn’t have an explanation yet.  Everything that had happened to him made no sense to him so how was he supposed to explain it to her?
“How is that love?”  Sabrina asked him point blank.  He stared back at her trying to form an answer.  He was trying to figure it all out.  “How was I such an idiot, to believe that you, out of all people, could ever love me?”
“And what is that supposed to mean.”  Nick sneered, snapping to reality at her questioning how he felt.
“You know who you are, Nick. An ace at passion and lust.”  She said using his own words against him.  She was shocked by his sudden attention to the conversation, but wasn’t deterred.  “You can’t love me.  And you probably never did.”  Sabrina stated with finality and cringed, knowing both what she was saying was untrue and hurting him in a deep way.  She regretted it but couldn’t bring herself to take it back.  She supposed this tiny thought that Nick would grow bored of her and toss her away to move on to the next experiment had only grown since his liberation from Hell.  Nick’s face contorted in confusion as his brain worked a million miles a minute.
“You think I don’t love you.  Is that really how you feel?”  Nick asked her, taking a step closer to her.  She didn’t budge.
No.
“Yes.”  She lied hoping he’d go away so she didn’t have to see him loving her anymore.
She still saw him.  She’d always seen him.  The real him.  From the moment he’d sat with her at lunch shed seen him and felt that pull.  She knew right away that this warlock, this boy, would be in her life for the long-haul.
Before she could say anything else or turn away Nick’s hands were on her.  She felt electrified immediately, energy pulsing from her hip and hair where his hands rested.  He pushed her against his locker with a thump which drew a soft gasp from her lips before his were on them.  He was putting everything he had into it just to prove to her that every breath that fell from his lips were for her.
It’d been so long since he kissed her.  Even longer since he’d kissed her like that.  Gone were the hesitations to touch her that he’d exhibited fresh from Hell.  The way he kissed her now, with her back against the locker and pressed so close she could feel all of him and his hand burning at where it gripped her waist, was the Nick she knew.  She kissed him back in earnest because she wasn’t sure when he’d let her glimpse at him again.  She wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity he was giving her.  Not when he was letting his guard down and allowing her a small glimpse behind the veil.
When he pulled away his chest was bouncing up and down with heavy breaths.  His eyes were screwed shut because if he kept them closed he could pretend they were together on the dance floor at Dorian’s.  And not miles apart at fucking mortal high school.
When he finally did open them he saw that she was just as breathless as he was.  Her lips were swollen and red from how he had captured them and she was staring at him with big, confused, and loving eyes.  He pulled her back in to rest his forehead to hers.  He wanted to take in her rose shampoo one more time before he turned away again.
“Don’t you ever think for one second that I don’t love you, Sabrina Spellman.  I love you more than everything.  You are everything.”
“Nick…” she spoke out delicately like a gentle breeze.  His name falling off her lips like a gentle kiss was what would get him through.  He brushed his fingertips against her cheek as she fisted his shirt in her hand.
“I love you, Sabrina.”  He swallowed hard, his tone one of goodbye, but his forehead was still pressed firmly against hers. “Say you believe me.”
“I believe you.”  She whispered, not even trying to keep the tears at bay.
He was gone then, pulling away from her and teleporting to who knows where.
She stood there rooted in the spot gingerly touching her tingling lips, wondering where he went.  And praying to Hecate he would be okay.  And wishing she had told him she loved him too.

After escaping the dark room, Carolina, Yoongi and Sarah were one of the first people to figure out where they needed to go. Stepping outside, the harsh wind hit them strongly, specially Carolina that was barely wearing anything on her legs.
Despite the cold, the three were filled with adrenaline and only stopped walking in a fast pace once they found a bus stop. Stepping inside the little cubicle, they cowered into one of the corners so the wind couldn't hit them as badly as it had been for the entire night.
The key they had in their hands was too small to be for a regular sized door. They excluded that option right away. The little keychain that was attached to it had engraved the number 8 in one side and on the other #FightOn!.
Quickly, Sarah deduced that in order for it to have the sports' catchphrase, it was probably from one of the lockers. That made both of her teammates think about their lockers' keys. Carolina had long changed the keychain attached to her locker key but she could assure that one didn't belong to the volley team, and Yoongi followed suit. It wasn't from the basketball team either.
The blonde girl moved away from the circle, a frustrated sigh leaving her lips. They had been pretty lucky so far, she couldn't believe that their luck would end now. She looked around. They hadn't walked that much from the cinematic department, where they got the key, so maybe the lockers were near them too. Following that line of thinking, the football stadium quickly came to her mind. It had to be it!
“GUYS!” Sara turned around thrilled, her mind working too fast. “I think I know where this belongs to!”
“The football lockers?” Yoongi asked with a smirk; arms crossed over his chest in an attempt of blocking the cold away.
“How-”
“Although we look like weird, hence dumb people-” Carolina started but Yoongi interrupted her with a talk for yourself making her glance at him before continuing. “Our brains work just fine. Well, at least they didn’t freeze yet.”
“Thank God you two are on my team!” Sarah let out excited and pointed towards the stadium with her head, her two hands were secluded in her pockets. “Shall we win this game?”
“Fine by me!” Yoongi started to move followed right behind Carolina when a static noise was mixed with the howling of the wind. The three of them froze in place.
“If I were you I would move faster… Your friend here is outta time”
Sarah was trying to stay composed but looking from Carolina to Yoongi and seeing the so unfazed boy was now looking like he just saw a ghost made her understand once again that this was not just a game.
“Wha-What… is he-” Carolina tried to say something but she was completely choked up and not because of the cold, that was the least of her problems right now.
“It’s Taehyung.” Yoongi said certain.
“What do you mean it’s Taehyung?!” Carolina snapped, her voice sounding hoarse.
“Outta time. I showed him that song the other day when you two were painting those jackets-”
“What are you talking about?!” Carolina was almost yelling now. The fear of something happening to Taehyung crawling under her skin. Yoongi wasn’t helping, she had never seen him so apathetic, his eyes trailed on the dark asphalt.
“The Oasis song Carolina!” his eyes moved to find hers.
Sarah was having a hard time to breathe, all she could think about was that if this so called game master had so much personal information about everyone, then this thing was more serious than what they were thinking.
“I came to your apartment that day to find you and Taehyung alone painting jackets and I put Outta Time of Oasis to play because I told you I was talking to Lindsay about it!”
Carolina’s eyes were still on his but she was seeing nothing more than a blurry black. “And he painted it… He painted it on his jacket” She mumbled, Yoongi nodding. “Fuck. He has Taehyung.”
“Ok! Let’s not jump into conclusions guys!” Sarah felt the need to interrupt, the two of them were looking like a mess. “We don’t know for a fact that was what he was referring to- I mean how would he know this??”
“He said outta time not out of time or... whatever! I heard him.” Carolina said exasperated; Yoongi was still like a statue and if it weren’t for the white foam forming right in front of his mouth indicating he was breathing you would believe he was indeed one.
“It could just be a coincidence!”
“It’s not. Why would every friend of mine be here if this were to be a random Halloween game??? Why couldn’t we stay with our phones??? None of this makes sense, Sarah!” Carolina continued and the other girl had no means to disagree. Something felt eerie indeed. “The only thing I know is Namjoon is ok and Taehyung and Jin are missing until I see them to say otherwise and I’m not acting like everything will be ok until I finish this game and this stupid son of a bitch can-”
“OK! I GOT IT!” Sarah exclaimed not wanting the girl to finish that particular phrase. “Let’s go to the stadium and win this. And let’s stay close from now on ok?” Everyone nodded.
The three grabbed their backpacks hard. Running was difficult on their numb bodies but they had to find a way to stay warm. They ran at the same pace so no one would stay behind and soon the big stadium where the football games took place came to view.
As they came closer and closer, they slowed their pace until they were walking, carefully looking from side to side. Yoongi was extremely alert after the last intermission that sounded from their walkie talkies and he wanted no more surprises.
Entering the building, Carolina kept rubbing her arms in an attempt to warm up. It was chillier than outside and the wind howled through the cracks of the doors.
They rummaged through their bags. Every step they took into the deep hall making it get darker and darker. Their flashlights were already starting to fail a little and the light coming from them was dim but they managed to find their way and reach a door with a little golden plaque that read Lockers.
The three exchanged glances, a little reticent to open the door, not knowing what was on the other side. Carolina took the first step, grabbing the knob and turning it slowly. She felt a hand touch her and quickly jumped, her heart racing as fast as ever. She turned back ferociously to see Sarah with an apologetic look on her face, before letting her focus on the task she had been doing so far.
The door creaked while opening, ruining the chance of silence for the trio.
Quickly, they formed a circle, protecting each other’s backs as they walked into the even darker room. Yoongi closed the door where they came from just in case someone was to come in. That way they wouldn’t be caught off guard.
They started reading the numbers engraved on the lockers, each of them jumped in front of their eyes until they found the familiar one they were expecting to find.
Number 8.
“Who has the key?” Sarah’s voice sounded and Yoongi stepped in between the two girls, hands deep in his pocket to find the object.
He battled a little to get the key in the lock, his fingers had become stiff from the coldness in the room. The key turned into the metal door and they heard the latch click, meaning they were in the right place after all. Yoongi mumbled a low fuck, too focused on the moment that was happening. He could feel the girls eyes shifting from him to the locker even in the dark
“What’s that?” He asked, squinting his eyes hard once the door was open.
“Another clue!” Sarah squealed, excitedly taking the finger into her hands.
As they rummaged through their backpacks to keep the clue safe, another group was entering the building.
14
“It was not like I was going to let her be taken by zombies dude!” Taehyung sighed for the thousand time on that half an hour. He was honestly starting to get frustrated with that Jack guy.
Ever since he found Taehyung and Deo back at the cinematic department he had been whining about being taken by zombies and how both of them just ditched him or how Taehyung took her away. “It was no big deal”. He tried to brush it off praying for him to let the subject go.
Jack, on the other hand, was more than ready to say something to the girl who was partially ignoring all that, opened his mouth and closing it the second later. He gave a quick glance at Taehyung while replying “I’m not talking to you, for starters-” and then focused on his girlfriend once again.
"Jesus fucking christ..." Deo rolled her eyes while crossing her arms, more for protecting herself from the chilly atmosphere than to show she was mad about their never ending bickering.
“Can we just go on with this game?” Taehyung pleaded while scanning the place with his flashlight, not even bothering to look at his teammates.
“That’s what we’re doing already weirdo.” The other one retorted making Deo let out another frustrated grunt.
“Is it?! Oh, my! I must’ve been trapped in my head all along” He answers in a dramatic way, eyes rolling in the end.
"Can the two of you just shut the fuck up?!” Deo bursted glancing from one to the other, while both of them were still dueling each other with eye contact. Her hands were outstretched emphasizing how done she was. “It's fucking freezing and the two of you- ARGH!" Both of them looked at her after that. She gave up trying to make them stop fighting and simply turned around going back to search whatever they were searching for.
“That’s what I’ve been saying for the past five minutes but this guy just wants to pick a fight!” Taehyung said simply pointing in vain to Jack who was already opening his mouth again to start another fight. “Don’t even start dude!” He glanced harshly at him, making Jack gulp down whatever he was going to retort.
"Was that even necessary?" The girl turns back to give him a roll of eyes. "Just- Go first and Jack goes behind me ok?" She looks between the two, quickly giving up wandering all by herself at the front. The place was just too eerie and dark.
“Why would he go first?! He can’t even kill a fly!”
“That way I can die first and end this suffering.” Taehyung replies with his back turned to both his teammates. As deep as his voice sounded, it could also let the others feel his boredom through it. He didn’t wait for a reply though, his hands were quick to grab the knob and turn it.
Taehyung couldn't help the noise the door made, a loud squeak reverberating through the white tile walls as he tried to quietly open it. Instantaneously, his shoulders came up in an attempt to protect himself if something was to appear from the dark room.
As he turned around, Deo's eyes were wide from the noise the door had made while Jack was only waving his flashlight around to see if they were indeed alone in the long dark corridor. Pushing the door fully open, they got inside.
Their first instinct was to scan the areas closer to them. They were certain this was the right place, the key had to belong to the football's lockers. If not, Jack was a complete idiot for not knowing his own keychain since he was the one remembering to come here. Deo and Taehyung immediately recognized it too from Jimin.
As they walked further in the room, it didn't felt right for the door to be swung open so without saying a word, Deo mimicked for Jack to close it.
There was a big slam and the sound echoed through the entire room. In the corridor too, they were certain. If something was inside, it had already been warned that there was visitors but if it was outside… it knew where the group was too.
"Dude!" Deo and Taehyung screamed in a whisper to the boy that had close the door and made the noise.
"What?" He arched an eyebrow, clearly not understanding the severity of what he had done. The two teammates rolled their eyes, before pointing their flashlights straight ahead.
They pass by the shower zone and walk into a corridor of lockers. Taehyung finally stops on his tracks. He points with his light to the locker and then to Deo, making a confused face. It takes her a while to remember that she had the key on her, too afraid that the two boys might've lost it on their way there.
She takes it out of her bag, showing the boys the engraved number. Lucky number 13. They quickly shift from one locker to another, looking for the one that would be open with the key they had in hands.
The room was icy. It would be expected that such an expensive school would have AC everywhere, but tonight, everything seemed out of order.
Not too long after, they find the locker. Of course it had to be a long one, Deo thought to herself. The three of them freeze in front of it, the suspense of the night taking control of their bodies for a second before they are able to react.
"Can you ladies give me the fucking key?" Jack said after a long sigh. Tired of waiting for a reaction. He grabs the item out of Taehyung's hand harshly before stepping in front of the locker.
"Actually…" He stops, looking at the boy again. "Since you're the first one to do everything... Why don't you go ahead and do the honors?" A smirk is splattered on his lips as he looks defiantly.
"Seriously…" Taehyung answers back in a whisper, grabbing the key once again and putting it in the lock.
With the key in place, Taehyung takes a deep breath before turning it slowly. They can hear the spring inside twitching as he turns it. The tension grows in the room and the click is finally heard. Taehyung swings the door open as fast as he can and Deo lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding as she only sees a red balloon coming out of the long confinement. No pennywise this time.
"Hello!" A high pitched voice sounds behind them and they quickly turn around as the crazy clown laughs at the girl's terrified face.
For a second, Taehyung freezes. Getting caught off guard, his only reaction is to nervously smile.
"Do you want to be my friend?" Pennywise chuckles as he goes to reach out for the other two but he misses.
Seeing the look on the face of his girlfriend, tears starting to form in her eyes and how she was unable to move, Jack grabs Deo's hand and pulls her out of there.
"HURRY JACK!" Deo screams as the boy is struggling with the door he had previously slammed. He pulls hard on it but he struggles as it seems jammed. "JACK!!" The girl screams again, as the clown walks happily towards the two.
Finally managing to open the door, the two flee, leaving Taehyung behind alone in the locker room. As they turn around, the clown keeps chasing them, jumping on his legs and moving his arms up and down. Every now and then, he lets out a giggle to let them know he's still chasing the two, patiently waiting for them to get tired. Deo is barely out of breath and as they make a turn, they bump into something.
"Shit!" Jack says, as he runs into someone, barely being able to stand up.
"Run! Pennywise is coming!!" Deo almost screams, her mind lost in fear.
“What the fuck?!” Carolina yells back, too lost with the bumping. Yoongi had his fists balled ready to fight whatever it was that went against him. “Taehyung????” The girl had her eyes squinted to see a shadow whom ran towards their direction. She knew that particular running too well.
“Guys- Hey!” The one being called emerges from the darkness that was the corridor behind him to focus on what was happening. “We’re all here! Look- We’re all here!” He says to his group pointing his two friends out like it was a big happy coincidence. The seriousness of the situation never weighing on him.
“What happened? We heard someone scream!” Sarah said ogling everyone trying to see if someone was hurt in any way.
“Are you ok?”
“How are you in the game too?” Yoongi and Carolina paid no mind to their teammate concerns. Instead they attacked Taehyung with a bunch of questions.
“Why…? Why wouldn’t I be ok?” The boy answered simply with a lost face.
"Didn't you saw him?? Where is he?" Deo asked, checking the boy up and down and then picking her head to see if there was anyone on the other end of the corridor.
“Who is he??”
“He vanished.” Taehyung ignored the last question and answered Deo. He was just confused as she was. “I was running after him- after you two left me there but he just… vanished.”
“YOU GUYS LEFT HIM THERE??” Carolina panicked.
"He came chasing after us!" Deo threw her hands up in defense.
“Ok but who is he? What are we talking about?!” Sarah was as confused as Yoongi but the boy preferred to keep quiet. Everyone was just too nervous and agitated to give him solid answers anyways.
“Are you guys fucking deaf?” Jack said sarcastically. “The fucking Pennywise that’s who! Or what? Are we the only ones being chased by the weird clown?!” He kept ranting while team 8 exchanged glances. They realized right at that moment team 5 was completely oblivious to the real danger.
“Listen you brute-” Sarah started but Carolina held her by the wrist with a tight grip.
“Listen to me-” She started focusing on Taehyung only. “this is not a game anymore. They have Seokjin-”
“They wha-” The boy was just as confused as his teammates, whom had their eyebrows furrowed and looked at the girl as if she was an alien.
“We thought they had you. But you’re here so it must be Jin!” She talked nervously now. Sarah’s hand was rubbing her back gently trying to calm her down.
“Who's they? How do they have Jin?" Deo asked confused. She wasn't understanding a word from that, the sudden meeting with Pennywise still stuck on her mind.
“We don’t have much time. But the game master kidnapped our friend, ok? That’s all you need to know.” Yoongi took the step and said it like it had to be said.
“Alright. You guys are just being insane now. Are you drugged?” Jack scoffed; his hands going to his hair in frustration. “Cause you must be drugged to say something like that. It’s just Halloween, dudes. This is not JigSaw.”
“They have Jin?” Taehyung let out in a whisper and nobody heard it. It was as if he was talking to himself. Eyes glued to the floor, still perplexed. His mind was floating and nothing made sense anymore.
“Oh shut up you little shit!” Carolina retorted Jack. “If you don’t want to take this thing seriously and act as if you’re only being chased by Pennywise or whatever it was, fine by me! But don’t take matters that don’t involve you lightly just because they don’t involve you.”
“We should go now, we already found our clue.” Sarah interrupted.
“I can’t leave him alone!” Carolina said more to Yoongi than anything while pointing towards Taehyung.
“Wait- how are you even sure it's Jin? I haven't seen Hoseok the entire night." Deo said after finally having absorbed the information but still not convinced with the story. If what they were saying was true, it could be a lot of people. "Holy shit… could it be Hobi?" She looked desperately to Jack searching for some comfort. The boy gave her a soft smile, hands find the small of her back.
“This was supposed to be a game...” Taehyung whispered again.
“Did the game master contacted you guys saying something about him?” Yoongi asked the short girl with arms crossed.
"No but since you were thinking it was Taehyung and now Jin I'm guessing he didn't say any names to you either." Deo crossed her arms back at him.
“He said it was a friend of ours. And made some mentions but we mistook it for Taehyung. I first thought it was Jin but then he said- Nevermind. The important thing here is you’re safe and Namjoon too. But they- They have him. He’s being tortured-”
“THEY ARE BEING WHAT?!” Jack laughed hard in disbelief. “Oh for fucks sake-!” He let out once Deo offered him a harsh look. “Grow up people. We’re not in a horror movie or in your Sci-Fi films! It’s a Halloween game! It’s supposed to look spooky!”
“If you’re only going to say shit why don’t you just shut up?” Taehyung raised his voice. The look on his face was ice cold; his jaw was tensed and his brows were now furrowed.
“We need to continue the game guys.” Sarah hated to interrupt but time was ticking and if they used it for chatting something worst could happen.
“Ok, listen-” Carolina said to Taehyung as if she was in a hurry and what she was about to tell him was from extreme importance. “We don’t have any source of communication between teams but I met Namjoon earlier. I- I’m counting on him to do something.” She gave him a glance to check if he was noting mentally everything she was saying. “But please be safe.” She looked at Deo now too, in hopes at least she would be someone he could trust.
“Oh my God” Jack rubbed his hands on his face, placing them on his pockets right after. “You guys should really apply to the theatre plays here on campus. You are naturals.”
“Aren’t you that guy that plays football?” Yoongi casually asked in a monotone.
“Yeah.”
“Hm.. I figure you need your legs to play right?”
“Are you trying to come at me bro?” Jack was about to go at him when the static noise made Sarah jump and Deo hold on to her in fear Pennywise was coming back.
“Tik tok players… Chatting is fun! Should we include your friend in the conversation?”
One second in silence passed by and every one of them had their breaths held in anticipation and fear. “HmmHElmmmph-” Another electric noise was heard and not the static they were so used to, a muffled and pained scream followed. “Your friend is having SOOOO much fun! Should we proceed?”
Carolina pressed the button of her walkie talkie too fast. “OK WE HEARD IT YOU SICK BASTARD! ENOUGH!” She said exasperated while the others glanced at each other, some coming to realisation of what was happening and some with fear. “WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US???”
“Tik tok…”
Was the last thing they heard echoing through the icy walls of the lockers room.
15
It was dark and the only source of light the girls had were the dim rays that were coming from their flashlights. It took them awhile to figure out where they needed to be headed was the locker rooms. Every since the night started, Jennifer had been complaining about each decision their teammates made.
“Guys I’m pretty sure it’s on the other end.” Jennifer’s tongue clicked.
“No Jennifer, it’s that way beca-” Emma started, trying her best to stay calm.
“Bitch! I know what I’m talking about! I come here everyday, like every-single-day!”
“Girl, listen to me! We don’t care if you come here to slut around. We’re just saying our number is that way and stop saying it’s not because you’re dumb and suck at math.” V snapped at the brunette.
“Bitch I’m the best from my class and I’m taking economics and finance.” Jennifer flipped her ginger wig.
“Well, then your grades are bought.”
“Guys, please just stop fighting…” Emma pleaded, sick of hearing the two. “I just want to finish this and go home and sleep.”
Emma continued walking forward, not caring enough to wait for the other two. After an intense stare fight from the two teammates, they rushed after the other one. What were really two minutes, seemed more like an hour to the girls who were freezing.
Once Emma pointed her flashlight to the locker standing tall right in front of her, V let out a rushed thank God. She was feeling drained from the events of the night.
Jennifer quickly pushed past the two, grabbing the key she had been holding and impatiently pushing it inside the lock. She swung the door open, but nothing was inside.
“Seriously?? Nothing??” She asked as she turned around to talk to the other girls, feeling indignated.
Their locker was in the exact end of the final row. And in the exact same moment Jennifer turned around, Baby Face peeked from behind the locker number 313.
The girls didn’t notice him, at first. V was too worried at counter striking at Jennifer to notice her surroundings. Emma, on the other end, was scanning the locker after some kind of hidden compartment where the clue could be. And that’s when all happened.
In a flash, Emma was being pushed inside the locker by a screaming Jennifer, too worried about getting away from Baby Face to care about her teammates. When she turned around, all she saw was the hideous mask staring back at her and in an impulse, she closed the door shut, to feel secure, even if that meant she was trapped with nowhere to run.
She could hear the clinking of Baby Face’s knife against the cold metal door and when she closed her eyes, she could hear her heart beating in her ears and his hard breathing against the mask.
Suddenly, she heard V’s voice, shouting.
“YO BABY FACE!!! COME GET ME MOTHERFUCKER!”
In a blink of an eye, Baby Face’s presence could no longer be felt by the girl trapped inside, the clinking stopping right away.
Emma reluctantly tried to open the door to get out and run away from that cold place but she found herself really trapped this time. There was no way to open the locker from the inside. She wanted to scream out for help but she was too afraid he would be the one hearing her and come back.
“EMMA HURRY UP! LET’S GO!” V’s voice echoed again.
“I CAN’T! I’M TRAPPED!” Emma’s voice sounded muffled.
“OH FUCK-“ Suddenly Baby Face was already catching up to V and she felt like she had nowhere to go. Without someone to help her she had no way to escape or to help out her teammate.
“WHAT? WHAT IS HAPPENING??” Emma asked clueless. She felt almost like she had lost her primary sense.
“What is going on here?!” A third voice echoed on the gloomy lockers room and in a flash Baby Face disappeared in between the many corridors of metal spaces. “Oh my God what was that?!”
“Thank God!” Emma could hear V’s voice again sounding relieved. “If it weren’t for you I was a goner- Oh! EMMA!” The girl rushed back to free her teammate.
“Emma? Who’s Emma?” Another voice asked.
“V?? WHAT IS GOING ON OUT THERE?” Emma tried once again. And before she could hear her reply the metal door was being busted open. Four faces staring at her with their flashlights pointed towards the almost blinded girl, looking like a hypnotised deer.
“You’re ok girl?” V asked her, concern adorning her face. “Everything happened so fast-”
“Why were you inside a locker?” A girl dressed exactly like Jennifer asked and if she wasn’t smaller and fairer than her teammate Emma would’ve had mistaken her for the cruel girl.
“Where’s Jennifer?” Was all she could ask.
“The bitch pushed past us two to run away, she’s probably outside already” V ranted.
“Are you guys ok?” A khaleesi look alike asked visibly worried.
“Yeah, thanks to you guys!” V answered for both of them, Emma still recovering from the scare. “We’re gonna head off now, but thanks for showing up. Timing really is everything! I’m never doubting coach again.” She finished making the girls laugh.
The girl and Emma made their way quickly towards the entrance door, and if they managed to find Jennifer outside, she was definitely going to listen to some not so amiable complaining.
“Well that was… interesting” Esme said blankly, still pointing her flashlight to where Emma and V had just gone through.
In an agreeable silence the three started looking around with their flashlights held up firmly, the previous situation seeming not so weird after everything that had happened until now.
“I’ve never been here before…” Aashna started, a chill going down her spine while she checked out the shower section, right next to some tall lockers. “Anyone knows where we should be looking?” She added glancing back to see her teammates.
“Not sure.” Esme shrugged. “I’ve never been here either!” Her voice sounded like an echo even though she tried to whisper.
“This place is scary...” Aashna was checking the golden numbers engraved on the lockers carefully while she talked to Esme. Something about her keeping a conversation made her feel more at ease in a place like this. “And extremely cold!” She said letting out a shudder.
“Hey- Where’s Nina?” Esme interrupted her quickly, glancing around. She stopped once her flashlight illuminated a long and overly dark corridor.
“Nina!” Aashna whispered in a loudly manner.
“Nina this is not funny!”
A metal like sound ringed through the place making them jump in place. Esme swiftly closed the distance between her and Aashna. None of them noticed but they had their breaths held.
Flashlights pointed towards the corridor were the noise had come from. Something was coming from there, they could hear the footsteps. Aashna’s hands were beginning to shake, Esme was holding tight on her arm.
Another metallic noise.
Their brains screaming to run but their feet stuck to the floor as if they had glue on them.
And then, in a split of a second Nina appeared saying a loudly “Guys!” and both of them jumped scared to death.
Esme’s free hand going to her chest as breathing proved to be difficult, while Aashna exhaled everything she was holding in. “Geez…”
Nina continued watching her teammates recovering from the scare. “Calm down you guys, it’s just me!” She chuckled.
“Yeah-“ Esme tried but she was still panting.
“I found our locker by the way.” Nina said while pointing towards the gloomy corridor; she had her shoulder leaning on the wall casually.
“Let’s go then.” said Aashna, “The faster we finish this the better, I still have a party to enjoy!”
And the three made their way to their destination, Nina leading them towards the locker that matched their key. It didn’t took long, but Esme kept looking back, seeing the entrance being engulfed by the darkness, their flashlights not being able to illuminate it anymore.
“This one!” Nina whispered pointing the blueish light towards the number adorning the long locker. The other two came to a halt right after her.
“Here-” Aashna gave her the key; the clinking of the metal seeming too noisy due to the painful silence. “You open it.”
Nina took the object in hands, sniffing since it was so cold she could feel her nose starting to petrify. As soon as she inserted the key, she turned it. “Ok, c’mon...” she whispered more to herself than anything and swung the door open.
As soon as they pointed their flashlights to see what was inside the cubicle they spotted a pair of yellow eyes adorning the grotesque face they encountered earlier that night.
A strident scream was heard.
Aashna was quick to turn around and run away from it this time. Not so quick, Esme had her breath still held, no voice escaping even though her mouth was opened, her eyes terrified. Nina had to hold her arm to pull her to run. They heard the sound of The Nun stepping out of the metal confinement to the tiles floor. And although they were running fast, away from that scary being, the sounds it made reverberated in a slow and torturing way.

Group number 4 had just came out in a hurry of the lockers entering the football stadium randomly while trying to escape Freddy Krueger. Sana was panting frantically while holding Jeremy’s arm in a tight grip. Jin was a loud and jumpy mess, also the reason why the team ended up in the field instead of the exit door to the exterior.
In all of their fear to escape, they didn’t noticed what was happening there. That was until someone grabbed Jin by his neck and obliged him to put his hands behind his back.
“Hey! Let me go!!” He shouted while putting up a fight against his assaulter.
“Back off!” Jeremy threatened when another masked man tried to do the same to him and Sana. “I said back off-!”
Jin was already on his knees in the ground, still shouting and struggling, but when the bleachers came to view, right on his left, he saw a few familiar faces chained up and debating just as he was. Everything stopped for a moment as if they were moving in slow motion. He was petrified and this wasn’t a game anymore.
“Ashi!” Was the last thing Sana was able to say before she had her mouth taped up like the rest of the players. The friend she called over tried to scream back at her but with no success, only muffled sounds could be heard.
A deafening sound screeched from the stadium loudspeakers maddening the hostages spread on the humid seats. The so familiar grotesque voice echoed through the stadium making them all more alert.
“Now that we are all here… Let’s begin game number seven shall we?”
The groups were all placed together on the bleachers, a few seats apart from each other. Jimin and Deo exchanged comforting glances while Hyori kept her head low trying her best to stay calm and gather every bit of information she had so far.
Jungkook kept debating with his chains, his voice would probably be lost if he kept on trying to shout with that tape over his mouth. Tori was having a hard time since his chains were also hers and Jason’s, so every time he pulled, they would also feel it stinging on their own skin.
“Oh- My bad,” The voice faked an apology. “There is someone missing isn’t it? I guess I forgot it since he’s been such a good company here by my side!”
A hideous laughter was heard right after. Some grunts in protest and clinks of the chains were heard too but completely ignored by the so called game master.
“So here’s what is going to happen players- You will compete against each other now. And you all may ask, why would we do that? Well, the answer is simple: Either you do it or he dies!”
As soon as those cruel words were spoken they were all blinded by the harsh lights of the big projector set up right in the middle of them all. The light was pointed towards the other side of the field, onto a wide white screen. The clear image of a guy whose face was covered by a black back appeared.
He was sat down on a chair in the middle of a bad lit room, his calves taped onto the metal feet of the so said chair and his arms hidden by his own back. Chivers went through Hyori and her eyes started to get teary. Deo tried hard to get up but her effort was for nothing. Same thing for Jungkook. They knew it was Hoseok. They knew from the moment they saw Cole and Asa already sat there and chained one to the other without Hoseok.
Nina’s thoughts were running wild. Could it be someone she knew? Could it be some of her friends? She knew for sure it was a guy… And although she came to the party with her girls, she was in fact planning on meeting some of her other friends later on. The constant teasing and threatening she received from the game master on her walkie talkie indicated that yes, it was, indeed, someone dear to her. But what if it was all playing pretend? Then again, what if it wasn’t?
“And if you think I won’t do it… Here are some proof I will.”
The voice said simply before tasering the guy in the neck making him grunt and contort in pain before passing out. The reactions to this were various. The majority of them grunted too or debated themselves, while others kept it quiet, fear in their eyes.
“So, umm… Maybe group one versus… Group ten? This will be entertaining!”
As he said it, masked men came out once again, freeing both groups and taking them to the middle of the field.
“Oh! Forgot to say, if someone tries to run… You know, Tzzzzz!”
Another cruel laughter reverberated.
Hyori looked back at where her friends were being held hostage, where she was previously in. She needed to do something, but if she did, Hoseok would suffer even more.
“What is this for?” She heard Jae, a girl she knew from the library, ask with a red balloon in hands.
“Hyori!” Silvia called her. “You have to focus girl, c’mon!”
“Sorry-” Right at that moment a masked man came towards group one delivering them red balloons and a needle. The three of them were baffled. What was that about?
“Ok players! Ready, set… And begin!”
Was all the voice said. No rules, no goal, no nothing.
The six of them kept looking at each other without knowing what to do. A beep echoed and the image on the white screen changed from the hostage to a countdown.
Three minutes.
And suddenly Tessa was running towards group one, ready to pop their balloons. Hyori and Silvia did the same, quickly reaching Jae and Cecilia to try and win the game.
“I’m sorry dude!” Tessa said before reaching Namjoon. He wouldn’t move, his thoughts running wild. What was going on? And pop! His balloon was a goner. As well as the minutes that reached zero in a blink of an eye.
As if nothing had happened, the masked men came again, retrieving the needles and remaining balloons. The two groups were back at being chained and taped. Not before Namjoon mouthing a do not pop it to Yoongi and Carolina, who were watching everything attentively.
“Hmph, not that exciting after all…” The game master said. “Let’s see if I get something better out of these. Bring it on group two and… Oh this is a good one! Group eight!”
By the time they all got to the field Yoongi could see Jungkook foaming with rage. He lived long enough with the boy to know that as soon as the game master said go, he would come at full force to pop their balloons. Carolina knew it too.
“I don’t know why Namjoon said that but I’m trusting we shouldn’t pop the balloons.” The girl whispered to Yoongi while keeping eyes on the beast a few meters away from them on the field, pacing forth and backwards.
“Any plans on how we are going to defend ours from those two?” Yoongi asked while taking his balloon in hands as well as his needle which he was quick to discard on the grass. His eyes, as well as Carolina’s, were on Jason and Jungkook.
“Hey I wanna know the plan too!” Sarah came closer to them.
“Ok, so here’s the deal. Presuming we can’t leave the field otherwise he will torture the shit out of that poor guy, you’re gonna take our balloons,” Carolina started handing Sarah her balloon and making Yoongi follow the action. “And you’re going to run as far away as possible from the mess that is going to follow.” She kept going and Sarah kept nodding as if taking instructions for her first game of football ever. “If anything that girl over there will come after you, so keep running and in any moment let someone pop our balloons ok? And you can discard your needle.”
“Ok, protect balloons. I’m on it!”
“So I’m guessing we’re taking over those two?” Yoongi asked. His arms crossed the whole time.
“Yeah… Don’t ask me how just-”
“I won’t promise anything but I have been taking judo classes… Let’s hope for the best.” He tried to be cheerful. “Who do I take on?”
“The one that comes to you first-” Was the last thing Carolina was able to say before the beep echoed on the field. Jungkook and Jason running fast, their balloons in hands. Tori sat on the floor. Three minutes left.
Sarah was already running when Yoongi saw Jason going for her. He designedly intercepted the guy by standing on his way. Both of them collapsed and Yoongi tried his best to pin Jason down.
“Keep running Sarah!” Carolina shouted when she saw Jungkook dodging the other two entangled on the wet grass. She had to take a detour to try and catch up with the mad boy running with his balloon under his arm. The nurse dress was making it hard to run but even so she managed to grab his shoulder and pull him back.
“Let go!” Was all Jungkook said, eyes on Sarah’s back. “Let go Carolina! You’re gonna hurt yourself!”
She quickly kicked him and put all her weight to bring him down to the floor. Once the thud of them both falling down on the ground was heard she said, “I’m sorry! Just listen to me!”
“Get off!”
“I won’t pop your balloon! Just stop!”
As he was about to get up she pulled him down again. He said nothing, but a growl came out as he got up once more and as soon as the girl tried to intercept him he pushed past her but something was off. Beep!
“Time is over! Too bad…”
As it had happened previously, both groups were chained once more giving space to another two teams confront each other on whatever that game was.
“Let’s see… Group three and maybe… Six. Yeah, group six.”
The tension was palpable on the field. Jennifer was ready to come at Aashna and that’s what happened. The girls from group six chose to stay put. They were tired from running, cold and fearful of what could happen next. But Jennifer had other plans in mind.
She saw this as an opportunity to set the record straight. Ever since she saw Aashna talking to Jungkook at that party she couldn’t stop thinking about ways of taking the girl down. Maybe now was the time.
“You’re crazy!” Aashna screamed when Jennifer jumped at her. They were rolling on the wet and cold ground. Nina came to help her teammate but Jennifer wasn’t backing off.
Pop! She was so focused on attacking Aashna that she missed out Nina popping her balloon. “Take that bit-”
But before Nina could say anything, Jennifer’s face was full of rage and she popped hers as well. And right after they heard the timer being zeroed once again.
“Not so bad! Ooof JK, you have some heavy stuff on your plate right now buddy.”
The game master laughed but the boy wasn’t paying much attention. He was feeling off. Sweat all over his body although the weather was as cold as it could get. His sight unfocused. It was as if someone imposed this on him. But he was too lost to remember when or where.
A few games came after that one, a few balloons were also popped but the final game was what mattered the most. Was when the chaos peeked. The fight between the best of friends. Childhood friends. And would they really all be ruined for some balloons? That was what the game master was hoping for.
“Jimin don’t you dare!” Deo glared to the boy. It would be impossible for him to stay put. “No one pops any balloons!” She looked more to Jack than anyone.
“From both sides!” Jimin looked at her, concerned with her team.
Taehyung decided to do the same as he had saw his friends doing. He stayed still even though Jack kept shouting at him to do something. It didn’t help the fact he was against his own best friend, Jimin, who was pushing Jack back as he tried to go for his balloon. Pop!
Jimin’s balloon was a goner and baffled by the situation Holly ran towards Deo. Her own fears of the hostage being one of her friends coming to mind, she just couldn’t lose this game.
“Holly don’t you fucking dare!” Was all Deo was able to say but it had no effect. Taehyung came to her help but it was too late. Pop! “I can’t believe you!” Deo said frustrated, and soon after she reached for the other girl, she popped her balloon too.
“Don’t-” Taehyung tried to stop his teammate. Pop!
“No! My balloon!” Holly cried out.
“Time is over players! Pennywise would be proud to see all his balloons are gone, expect for one...” They all heard and stopped immediately what they were doing. “And since this is the final game I should tell you what was this all about right? I bet you’re all wondering...”
As he was saying, they were all being free from the chains. The hostage images back again at the white screen for their dread.
“I know little dirty secrets about all of you, and I will grant you guys the opportunity to reveal them. Of course it wouldn’t be fun if I made you all confess things… So! I decided over this game that the ones with popped balloons will have their secrets revealed for the whole USC somehow,”
The reactions were diverse. Some in disbelief, some frustrated and mad at the people that purposely had popped their balloons.
“Do you wanna know what are the secrets? I bet you do!”
“This is a fake…” Cara started still unconvinced.
“Who is this fucking clown?!” Cole was frustrated, his arm still stinging in pain.
“I guess you will have to find that out once you get out of the game,” A wicked laughter echoed. “Though I will say my top two are Jennifer banging Jeremy while she’s casually with Jungkook…”
Jennifer eyes went big while she tried to go to Jungkook to firmly deny. Looks of judgement piercing her. Jungkook was nauseated, knees on the floor, his head dizzy and this secret was the least of his worries. What was happening to him??
“Or! The fact that the precious USC couple — for those who don’t know Jack and Deo, they have secrets that could feel up a grave! I mean, she had barely been with Dylan when it all started,”
“WHAT?!” Jack screamed at the girl, rage in his eyes. Deo backed up and Jimin instinctively came to her defense.
“Good times.” Dylan teased the other boy, but before anything could be heard, the voice sounded again.
“And guess what? It started because of a bet, isn’t that right Jack???”
Jack faltered when he saw the expression on Deo’s features change. She was ready to punch him in the face, but Hyori and Jungkook took her side, as Jimin did the honors for her and punched the jock straight in the jaw.
“There’s so much more… But- Oh my! Look at the time! It’s killer on the loose people! Get caught and you die, best of luck! I’ll give you ten seconds as a gesture of goodwill,”
“What the fuck?” Yoongi let out. And just like that the familiar horrific killers that have been chasing them all so far were seen.
“FUCK!”
17
Once the familiar voice that kept the players company was shut once more, panic was installed. Minds still confused with the recent shocking informations and fatigue, they were slow to react to the fast ten seconds given by the psycho. As soon as they laid eyes on the spooky creatures running towards them, they were quick to disperse, leaving the bleachers area.
Carolina was the first to react. She quickly grabbed Yoongi and Sarah and pulled them towards a safer place. They ran to the extremity of the bleachers, swiftly ducking behind them, safe as all the monsters ran in opposite directions.
“Sarah!” The girl screamed after the blondie, only for her mouth to be covered right after.
“She’ll be ok. She’s smart.” Yoongi whispered as he pulled them closer to the safety of the darkness.
“Something is really wrong… Jungkook was messed up during the game…”
“This will all be over soon.” He tried to comfort the girl but she couldn’t shrugg the feeling of uneasiness at the back of her neck.
Jack was next to flee, too insouciant to wait for anyone. Jungkook kept his group close as they climbed down the steps. Despite his drunken state from the previous game, he was swiftly moving, keeping balance throughout the fall. But suddenly, he heard a thud behind him, making him stop.
“Keep running man!” Jason shout as he helped Tori up.
“No!! Jungkook!!!” The girl screamed at the exact same time, the creatures seaming closer and closer, making it harder for her to gain forces and stand up. And with Jason battling, 3 points were automatically taken from group two as the members were taken away.
As the groups were separated, people diving deep into the woods and taking hide, so did the killers. The wind helped mask their harsh steps on the fallen leaves.
Deo had crawled down to a ball on the ground as soon as she couldn’t spot Pennywise anymore, the phobia taking the best of her.
“C’mon,” Taehyung whispered as he kneeled down in front of her. “they’ll catch us if we stop.”
“I can’t.” Was all the tired girl could say. She was ready to give up, the thought of what they were doing to Hoseok making her feel powerless.
“I promise you they won’t catch us.” He extended his arm up to her. “We keep running, we don’t look back-”
“And don’t fall.”
“That’s a pretty big deal too.” A smile appeared on his lips as he saw the girl grab his hand to stand and the both of them were ready to run.
“Wait- what about Jack?”
If it wasn’t for the dark environment, Taehyung eye roll would be visible. “We need to worry about us now.”
She nodded lightly, before grabbing his hand. “Run as fast as you can and don’t stop.”
As the two started running, they were oblivious to those they were running past, their safety being their number one priority at that moment. Jimin wanted to scream for his friends. He needed to feel secure and they were the only people that could give him a little bit of that feeling in that moment, but as he looked at the petite girl tightly pressed against him, he choose to keep quiet.
“Cara don’t make a sound.” He whispered, ears sharp as he heard footsteps growing closer.
“Is it a killer?” The girl asked, eyes widen with terror of what could come next.
He took his finger to his lips, while he peeked his head out towards the direction of the steps. He couldn’t really recognize the figure, the girl’s back facing him, but it was enough for him to let out a pssst.
“Carolina?” The figure turned, eyes squinting in all directions. “Yoongi??” The desperation in her voice was palpable.
“I don’t know who it is.” Jimin’s head came back to the safeness of the tree. “Should we call her?”
“It could be a trap!” Cara quickly said, the idea making her nauseous.
Jimin’s head was thinking hard. Something told him that he should call whoever it was. But yet again, Cara’s words kept his mind running. “She could allure killers.” He deduced, before pssssting the girl again.
“Jimin?” The girl said amused as she laid eyes on the voice that had called her.
“Sarah!” He said relieved to see that it wasn’t a trap.
“Keep it down!” Cara said, frustrated with the social gathering at the worst time.
“Cara Xavier!” Sarah let out a little too loud, catching the girl off guard. “It seemed you!”
“How you do-”
“Shush!”
Jimin’s back were quickly pressed against the tree once more. The harsh sound of the footsteps grew louder and stronger, making the girls press against him as well.
“We need to run!” Sarah kept her voice low but it was visible that she was in panic.
“We can’t leave now. They’ll see us!” Cara battled.
“I’m not staying here.” Sarah stood her ground. “You can stay if you want. I’m not getting caught.”
“Cara let’s go.” Jimin said to the petite girl.
“It’s not safe!” She said overwhelmed with fear.
“Neither it’s here.” He tried to reason with her.
And right before the girl could say anything, Pennywise jolly appeared right beside them. “Hello guys! Do you want a balloon?!” The creepy voice was followed by a spooky laugh, making them scream and run in different directions.
Jimin could hear Cara’s screams, but once he looked back, he couldn’t see her anymore. He stopped a little, trying to stabilize his breath. He was too dizzy to focus on any sounds surrounding him.
It took awhile for everyone to find safety. Everyone as in… those who managed to escape the ferocious hands of the killers that kept on chasing them. But for those who didn’t, they were trapped somewhere.
Their hands were tied behind their backs as well as their feet. It was too cold to move. And the darkness of the room made it impossible to place their whereabouts.
“It’s getting pretty cold isn’t it?” The malicious voice was heard by one of the walkie-talkies. “I wonder… how long can bodies take in a freezer before they completely freeze? Tik-tok players. Hope your friends are fast enough to get you out.”
The silence that could be installed was filled with muffled sounds of people trying to get free, panic hitting them.
“HELP!” A voice from inside screamed. But it was in vain. No one was around to help them.
“Cara?” A familiar voice called out, recognizing the scream.
“Sana??” The desperation filled the room. “Where are you?! I can’t see anything!”
Time was running out for those poor souls stuck in the freezer. And their only hopes were being tested once again.
There were more bodies stuck inside than those free on the outside. For whatever math they managed to do in that pitch black room, the only ones still out there were Jimin, Deo, Jack, Taehyung, Carolina, Yoongi, Sarah, Jungkook, Jae and Aashna. But one thing they knew for sure… Hoseok wasn’t in there.
Slowly, everyone managed to get free. Still, it was pitch black and the walls were too cold for them to touch. They all gathered around in some corner, trying to keep each others’ warm.
The only light came from the walkie-talkie in the freezer that had spoken to them earlier. Hyori’s features could barely be seen as she played with the little communication toy. There was this theory she was trying to put in practice from a conversation she had had with Namjoon ever since the middle of the night.
It kept bothering her how strange it was that the game master always knew when to interrupt. It was like he was right there with them the whole time. But that didn’t make sense because she had gotten lost by herself quite some times already…
After sharing the theory with Namjoon, they decided to test it out, showing how only walkie-talkies in the same frequency could hear each other. And when one was talking, the game master couldn’t hear. Otherwise, they would’ve been caught a long time ago.
“Hello?” She pressed the button once again. “Is anyone there?”
As she was about to lose hope, ready to switch frequencies, the static noise alerted her that she had finally got someone on the line. “Hello?”
“Deo?”
“Hyori!” The voice of the girl sounded relieved as she heard back from her friend. “Where are you? Are you safe?” A million questions came rushing back and she had to sush everyone inside the freezer so she could be heard clearly.
“I was taken! Are you ok?” The girl asked concerned, despite her situation.
“Listen to me-” She stuttered a little, the cold finally hitting her. “There’s a lot of people her-”
The girl interrupted her. “You’re with Hobi?? Is he there?”
“He’s not here. But you need to call for help. This is not a game!” Namjoon’s voice sounded through the walkie-talkie.
“Namjoon?? Where are you?” Taehyung grabbed the device from Deo’s hands, feeling desperate for his friend.
“I don’t know! It’s cold! It’s like a freezer!”
“We don’t have much time!”
The static noise filled the air once again. The freezing two heard some noise from what it felt like the two had started running, followed by Deo’s screams. After a while, it was silent again.
“They’ll get help.” Hyori said confidently. But there wasn’t much hope left from her.
“We need to find another channel.” Namjoon said simply as his fingers were already rotating the little pin on top of the device. “Hello?” He kept on saying until there was finally a voice calling back. “Yoongi!”
“Namjoon? How the fuck are we talking? Where are you?”
“You need to come help us.” Namjoon’s voice sounded hoarse through the static sound. “The game master has been listening to us the entire time! Don’t talk near the walkie-talkies about important information!”
“What?!” Carolina took the walkie-talkie from Yoongi, her mind spinning.
“This is a gigantic trap! We’re in a freezer! You need to come get us!” The boy spoke fast, scared that these two would also break out like it happened with the last channel they catched.
“In a freezer?”
“Yes! Come fast! And be careful!”

“Now I just can’t think about the clue- fuck!” Yoongi let out frustrated. It has been twenty minutes since they received the clue about the trophy on a frat house from the game master and while they were trying to figure out which one of the many frat houses it could possibly be, Namjoon interrupted their thoughts with the sudden news.
“I know.” Carolina sighed getting closer to the boy, the wind still harsh on their skin. They were on the main street of the campus, all dark except by the yellow lamp posts that lit the road. “Remember what just happened” she continued mimicking to him a finger in front of her mouth meaning silence. “and let’s focus on winning this game.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
“If only Sarah was here- AHHHHH!!!!!” Carolina felt the need to shout unexpectedly. She was tired, fatigue was taking over her.
And out of nowhere they heard another scream, coming right from the end of the street.
“What the-” Yoongi questioned, eyebrow tilting up.
“You think I invoked another killer? I’m sorry...” She said apologetic and fearful at the same time.
“Should we… run?” Yoongi asked preparing to fleet.
“GUYS!” They heard a familiar voice. “Wait- are you sure that’s them?” The person asked, it was much lower now but still heardible as the street was in absolute silence.
“JIMIN IS A FOOL!” Carolina shouted back with a questioning glance from Yoongi but he said nothing, he was used to this kind of thing by now.
“HEY! NO I’M NOT!”
“I knew it,” Carolina snorted. “C’mon, it’s safe.” She said simply, pulling Yoongi with her.
Apart from the few leaves floating in the harsh wind, nothing besides them was wandering that street. As Carolina and Yoongi were faced with Jimin and Sarah, the latter opened a big smile, running towards her teammates.
“Oh my God! I thought I had lost you!” She said.
“Told you I was lucky.” Yoongi said almost in a whisper to Carolina, accompanied by a poke on her ribs. “I knew you were smart enough to stay alive.” He completed making Sarah chuckle for the first time on this night.
“Hey for you too.” Jimin said sarcastic to Carolina with an exaggerated wave. One the girl ignored by simply going direct to business.
“If you two are here I assume me and Yoongi guessed correctly… It was indeed ΛΧΑ.” She concluded looking at the fancy front the house had.
“I assume this is what he meant… Plus I know for a fact that the Lambda Chi Alpha won a trophy recently!” Sarah explained how she came to the conclusion this was the frat the game master hinted about.
“And here I was feeling happy because I casually suggested we turned right...” Yoongi sighed.
“What now?” Jimin asked.
“We go in.” He heard Carolina answering like it was obvious.
“We can’t just barge in- Hey! Guys! Wait up!”
After whole fifteen minutes trying to convince Sarah to break a window to get inside a house that didn’t belong to any of them, they managed to successfully barge in. Thankfully, there was a couch right under the window they broke, facilitating the landing.
The house was pitch black, and they were quick to retrieve the little flashlights they still had inside their backpacks.
“Guys I don’t feel good about this...” Sarah’s voice was a mere whisper. Her eyes alert the whole time.
“We’re here. It’s ok.” Jimin comforted her.
They were climbing the stairs as suggested by Yoongi, he was sure that if the trophy was somewhere it would be the second floor hall. Every frat had one of those big fancy cabinets to show off their trophies.
The four of them were crumpled together, the house too dark and the ambiance too eerie to wander freely.
At the end of the stairs they were faced with a huge hall full of doors, probably leading to the shared bedrooms. Every single one of them had the door closed, except for the last one on the left.
Yoongi looked back to see Carolina and Jimin nodding that it was the right room. Sarah was petrified. The oldest pointed the flashlight towards the imposing shelf exhibiting the frat trophies, but none of them seemed like what they were looking for. Especially because both Sarah and Jimin knew what it looked like.
“Ok it’s definitely inside that room, I’m sure.” Sarah whispered but her body refused to move. Jimin was the one pulling her softly while he walked side by side with her.
Yoongi slid the door further open, his flashlight meeting someone chained to a wooden chair. The unknown person’s face hidden by a black bag. The person shuffled on the chair, clearly uncomfortable by the sudden light.
“Dude what the fuck?!” Jimin whispered. Immediately Yoongi’s flashlight pointed towards the trophy sat on the person lap.
“Who-” Sarah tried.
The static noise sounded. They weren’t alone anymore. Yoongi and Carolina exchanged glances.
“As you can see my friend there is securing my prize. Take it. And remember these two places: the cafeteria or the Gamma Epsilon Omega. Your choice. You can’t go to both. Your decision matters if you want to save lives. Oh! I will know if you cheat! Tik-tok, players. One or a hundred.”
Another significant exchange of looks were traded between Yoongi and Carolina, which Sarah was quick to notice.
“What are we going to do?” She asked determined.
“Take the trophy and give it to this psycho,” Yoongi hesitantly approached the John Doe still chained and snatched the trophy making him jump on the chair.
“Wha-at?” Jimin stuttered. “We can’t leave him here?” He pointed fiercely towards the John Doe making him grunt and shuffle. He was hearing everything.
“He seems fine Jimin! Plus apparently he’s not the one in danger-” Carolina answered. It pained her she had to be this cold, but she knew what she had to to.
“But-!”
Yoongi simply took him by the arm, dragging him out of the room. Both girls following, not before Carolina mouth a silent ‘sorry’ to the John Doe.
Noises of shhhh could be heard by them. The two boys stopped on their track. Suddenly the light of flashlights could be seen and they scanned the dark hall for somewhere to hide. The girls panicked.
“I think there’s someone up there-” They could hear a deep voice trying to whisper and something on Jimin’s head clicked.
“Tae?” He called.
“Jiminie?” And a pair of big eyes could be seen peeping in the end of the stairs.
“Taehyung?” Carolina called back too quickly passing Yoongi and Jimin to go to the boy.
“You got it? You got the trophy?” He asked hopeful.
“Uh…” Carolina started, looking back at Yoongi who nodded negatively at her. She couldn’t ruin everything. “No. We didn’t.” She answered simply while Yoongi who was still hid in the dark, managing to hide the trophy on the backpack Carolina had left on the floor.
“So let’s keep looking! Was there any sign of Hos-” Deo passed by Taehyung and Carolina. “Jimin?” She asked confused when she was faced with her friend. “And Sarah! Oh…”
“Hi there!”
“Yeah, you guys keep looking!” Carolina said to Deo. “Go with her Jimin, check that room over there we forgot to! I’ll just-” And she awkwardly pointed to Taehyung who looked clueless.
“You guys forgot to check a room?” Deo’s eyebrow arched but she went ahead with Jimin nevertheless.
“Something happened?” Taehyung asked still midstairs.
When they were young both of their mom’s signed them up to sign language classes on one of their volunteer jobs. At the time they would only used it between them as a form of hidden language they had. Now it was a secret weapon Carolina realized they had.
“No, not at all, let’s keep playing and see if we have some luck,” She said and started moving her hands at the same time for him to see. “Be careful ok?” The girl continued but her hands were saying otherwise.
“Yeah…” He answered vaguely while paying attention on what she really had to say.
Not much time. Come with me. Don’t talk because the game master can hear us through walkie talkies. Deo stays with Jimin. Pretend you’re staying and turn off your walkie talkie. Trust me
“You too! Be careful too,” He said finally while taking his walkie talkie in hands and turning it off. Carolina did the same with hers.
Lastly, she turned to Yoongi and mouthed a ‘We’re going first. Cafeteria. Be safe.’ And with a nod and a smile he assured her he understood what her plan was and he was full in. Sarah was quick too and as a reinforcement she placed her hand on Yoongi’s shoulder.
“Let’s do this group 8!” She said with conviction.
“We’re winning. No matter what.” Yoongi said finally. “Let’s go.” And with that Taehyung and Carolina went down, ready to leave the house.
Before Deo and Jimin could come back and be part of their crazy plan, Sarah and Yoongi left too. But their direction was Gamma Epsilon Omega.
19
Taehyung and Carolina ran as fast as they could. Since both their walkie talkies were turned off, the girl had the chance to explain him what was going on. He understood now why they were running for.
“HEY!” They heard, coming to a halt.
“Whatever you do don’t speak!” Carolina whispered quickly to Taehyung. If some other walkie talkie caught them both talking to whomever the shouting person was, the game master could find out about their plan.
“YOU- I- I’M GOING TO WIN- and I-” Jungkook came to view but he didn’t seem himself. He was struggling to keep straight, his body seemed heavy. And with a loud thud he fell on the floor.
“Oh God” Carolina let out. Both her and Taehyung rushed towards him. The latter being quick on opening the backpack secured on the passed out boy’s back retrieving his walkie talkie and turning it off.
“What is going on with him? Is he breathing?” Taehyung asked concerned.
“I- I think so...”
“What are we going to do?!”
“Jungkook?” Carolina asked while poking him but nothing. He was knocked out. “We can’t leave him here.” She looked back at Taehyung.
“How…?”
“On your back?”
“No way the dude is probably heavier than me.”
“Well we can’t leave him here unconscious!” And she was right.
They ended up dividing his weight between the two. Taehyung hugged Jungkook and supported his body weight on his shoulder while Carolina put his legs on her shoulders. It wasn’t easy, but after much panting they got to the cafeteria.
While Yoongi and Sarah were on their way to the frat house in hopes to find whatever they were there to find, Deo and Jimin were left behind on the house with still to be free John Doe.
“Where are they?” Deo asked again once she couldn’t find Taehyung.
“I don’t know! I didn’t knew they were going to flee this way!”
“What do you mean?!” She pressed further.
“Well we found the trophy-”
“You what?! You said you didn’t!”
“We did and we also found this guy-” Jimin looked to the still opened door in the end of the hallway.
“You what?!” Deo looked at the same direction as him and all of a sudden she was back at whispering once again. “Is he...?”
“Dead? No. He’s just chained and-”
“HOBI!” She exclaimed in a snap, running towards the door. As she got there and stopped on her tracks, Jimin right behind with his head spinning, she slowly approached the John Doe. “Hobi?” She asked softly, the chains and the black bag making her hesitant. He grunted and twisted on the chair.
Jimin passed by her and took the bag off, revealing a messy haired Hoseok. Fear in his teary eyes. “OH MY GOD”
“Are you ok???” They asked rushed, but in response they only received another muffled grunt. Jimin quickly went around him to untie the knot and release him from his chains.
“How did this happen?! Why didn’t you help?!” Deo asked the boys, while serving as support for him to get up. Jimin only looked embarrassed for not recognizing his friend right away.
“There’s this maniac! He knocked me out on the basement and- and- He left me here! I’ve been here for hours!” He kept rambling nervous. “We-We Have to do something! Call the cops or- or-”
“Hobi, calm down.” Deo spoke softly her hands squeezing gently his arms. “We’re with you now. And the game is over ok? A lot happened…” She continued glancing at Jimin.
“Come bro, we’ll fill you in,” Jimin offered support too. The three of them headed to the entrance. They had spent way too much time there.
Back at the cafeteria, Carolina and Taehyung were having trouble carrying Jungkook around. The boy was getting heavier and heavier and with no sign of waking up anytime soon.
“Ok we can’t keep going like this-” Carolina grunted, Jungkook’s legs weren’t light weight at all. “I- As I understood,” She paused to breathe and look both ways to find herself. “Namjoon told us they were in a freezer. Where the fuck is that supposed to be?”
“Uhh… Right behind the bar I think,” Taehyung suggested.
“Let’s go with that then,”
“Isn’t it?” He questioned himself.
“I can’t think of better options-” She was interrupted by one of Jungkook’s leg falling off her shoulder. “God I hate this guy- Let’s just go there before I dump him here.”
“He’s going to owe me big time when this sick game comes to an end,”
They didn’t have to walk much more to arrive at the canteen. The place looked sinister at night. A few machine sounds were roaring in the distance, much probably coming from the kitchen compartiment. With a flashlight in her hand, Carolina was leading the way while Taehyung came right behind with his own on his mouth, his two arms occupied with a passed out Jungkook being balanced out by them both.
“There?” Carolina questioned pointing her flashlight to the huge white door on the back of the bar. A ‘mhmm’ came as response.
Jungkook’s feet were what opened the door, and as if they were all attached together they ended up by passing by it carefully.
“Hmm” The boy hummed still unconscious.
A metallic door came to their sight, and by the sticker it had saying ‘keep it closed’ it just had to be it.
“Ok let’s put him down for a little bit.” Carolina said starting to lowering her body.
“Oh yes!” Taehyung exclaimed relieved.
With Jungkook carefully being put on the floor, the two of them ran to open the door up. Clink! The door was unlocked. Icy vapor came out of it but nothing more than that. They swung the door fully open revealing a pitch black interior.
“Namjoon?” Carolina called in a whisper. No sound apart from some softly puffs of air. “Point your flashlight there-” She pointed out the end of the freezer to him who obliged prontly.
“OH GOD!”
In a tight circle, there they were. All of them pressed tightly against each other, unconscious. “Check if they’re breathing- Tae, we need help!” Carolina said exasperated.
“They’re super cold- Hey! Hey- Please be alive!” Taehyung pleaded while shaking Jin’s body.
“Oh no, no, no- This is bad!” Carolina tried to pull Namjoon out of that freezing box. She couldn’t see much due to the lack of light but she was certain his lips were blue from cold. “Tae we need to warm them up quickly! They will have hipotermia-”
“There’s too many!” His voice was faltering. “Sana- Hey! Please-”
“We need help!” She quickly glanced at Jungkook splayed on the floor. In a swift move she reached for him. “Hey asshole,” Her voice faltering. “Please wake up!” Her hand went to his forehead. It was burning up. “Ok, let’s focus on taking them all out of there right? Yeah. Maybe putting them together with him? He’s burning up and-”
“It’s ok, we can do it! Come help me.”
“POLICE! FREEZE!” They jumped in fear and right after sighing in relief.
“Please help us!! Our friends-”

Maybe because they were facing the end of the game, Yoongi and Sarah felt more nervous than ever. Both of them facing the the main door of their destination. Sarah was visibly shaken and Yoongi couldn’t simply brush off the feeling at the back of his neck. Something was off. He just hoped they weren’t getting into a trap all by themselves.
“You’re ready?” Yoongi asked, eyes meeting the widen one's’ from the girl standing next to him. She simply nodded, words getting stuck on her throat.
Yoongi turned on the walkie-talkie once more. The static sound made him know the game master was listening and he stated the words splattered fancily on the door of the frat. “Stay behind me C.” He stated, trying to make it seem as if Carolina was there with them.
The door creaked as Yoongi pushed it open, all the lights inside off. They went to grab their flashlights once more. They weren’t going to risk being surprised in the dark of a house they didn’t know.
But much to her anguish, Sarah saw her flashlight gleam, until it finally turned itself off. She cursed under her breath. This felt wrong and every inch of her body told her to back out but she needed to be selfless now. There were lives at stake.
The long staircase led to the second and only floor of the house. They climbed up on their tiptoes, afraid they would step on any loose board. As they reached the top, they noticed the light coming from a single room.
Yoongi swiftly signaled Sarah to stay put as he was going first to guarantee the room was safe. But she was too scared to stay alone and approached him slowly. That was when she saw… the tall, bulky figure coming out of the dark.
“WATCH OUT!” She screamed, making Yoongi look back at her.
And in that moment, he fell to the floor as something hit his head. He stood on the ground for a couple of seconds, unable to move, too impacted with the thud and the steering pain going on in his head.
The man quickly revealed himself as he stepped out of the shadows and could be seen through the light that the little door let out. She was speechless. She watched him lower himself, devilish eyes never leaving her, as he picked up the trophy. One of his foot found a resting place on Yoongi’s back. She only heard him muffle before she could finally react.
“Going anywhere?” The low voice sounded as he noticed her taking little steps back, watching her surroundings frenetically.
“Fuck you, you psycho!” She said before she ran down the stairs and into one of the rooms.
“You had to be running your mouth the entire night didn’t you? I guess I’ll have my fun with you now.” The man walked right past Yoongi, as if he was the tapestry that came with the house.
Sarah found herself in some sort of kitchen. She knew she didn’t have much time and she was cursing herself because she had placed herself in every single horror movie she always mocked.
“C’mon Sarah… the knives aren’t in there.” The man was leaning against the arch as he saw her opening a bunch of drawer. But her heart froze when she saw what he had in his hands, playing with the long sharp knife with his fingers. “Don’t make this harder for yourself.” He gave her a sinic smile.
Her hands were frantically touching the marble balcony until she felt something maybe she could use. She grabbed it hard and as he was close enough, the wooden tray swang across his head, making him hiss in pain.
Sarah took the opportunity to run pass him, quickly noticing that Yoongi wasn’t lying on the floor where she last saw him. She called out to him, walking straight into the room. And what she saw made her want to puke.
She recognized the figure from the white panel in the football court. It was the man who had been tortured. Yoongi was already untying the man’s wrists, bruises all over his arms.
“Are you ok?” He asked her, eyes never leaving the task on his hands.
“Yeah…” She let out, more like a whisper. “I-I think I knocked him out. It’s Gilinsky.”
“Did you have to spoil all the fun?” The boy appeared right behind her, his forehead stained with a little blood. And before she could turn, his fingers were already deep into her hair, pulling her against the wall. “Want to say anything also about my legs now, sport?” He teased, a smirk on his lips as he walked towards Yoongi.
“I’ll kill you!” Yoongi launched forward, only to be meet by the knife Jack had previously been playing with. It punctured his belly, before pulling back once again.
Yoongi fell to the floor immediately, hands grabbing the side of his belly where the fresh wound was.
“You’re a fucking coward!” Yoongi called out once more, provoking before the man could leave the room to go after the girl. “Is that all you got?! No wonder you’re always benched!”
“What did you just say?” A twisted smile was on Jack’s face, as he walked to the side of the boy, foot pressing against the wound.
“Coward!” Yoongi said between coughs. “Use your hands for once, if you have it in you!”
And the compelled man did so. Engulfing the wounded man between his legs, he started throwing punches, hitting hard on his face. All of Yoongi’s attempts of defense were in vain. Until Sarah appeared back in the room, taser in hand and hitting the psychopath right on the neck.
She saw him twitch and grunt and stopped once he fell. She rolled him over, making sure he was unconscious.
“Yoongi?” She asked, concern filling her features.
But the boy didn’t react either. “No, no-” She exasperated, searching for help as if there were more people in the house. A phone. She needed a phone.
As soon as she reached the top of the stairs to look for some way of communication, she noticed the flashing red and blue lights, signaling help had already arrived. Sarah quickly went down the steps and as she opened the door, she was bombarded with questions from the police asking where the man was. They quickly barged in when she signaled to the top floor and cried out for an ambulance to assist Yoongi.
Carolina rushed towards her asking for what had happened. Sarah couldn’t even form a coherent sentence. The police was already locking the place up, no one could enter.
“Where is he, Sarah??” The girl kept asking.
“I- He-”
For a moment everything stopped. One of the policemen came out rushed yelling for an ambulance and calling reinforcement. Taehyung, Jimin, Hoseok and Deo were outside too as baffled as Carolina.
Aashna and Jae were a little back talking to the head chief, probably already giving statements. Suddenly everyone was looking at the door again. Two policemen were carrying Jack Gilinsky out, handcuffed.
“What the fuck is going on?!” Deo looked shocked to Jimin, tugging at his sleeve. It was like her entire world was upside down and she was feeling terrible.
“I don’t understand-” Jimin tried to understand the situation but he wasn’t coming with good terms to it.
“Did he-?” She asked once more to the boy and once she got no response, she marched forward, not really knowing where she was going but she needed answers.
“Wait Deo!” Hoseok tried. “Ya what is going on??” He turned around to question Jimin. This all felt like a strange dream.
“What the fuck!” The girl screamed. “Why isn’t anyone telling us anything! Sarah?!”
Sarah had tears in her eyes. She tried to form sentences but nothing would come off, the adrenaline still kicking in. “I’m sorry- He and Yoongi- I’m sorry,”
Deo let out a frustrated sighed. She wanted to scream at how powerless she felt. “Do something!” She turned to Jimin and Hoseok.
And although they wanted to give her answers they were as clueless as she was. “Calm down, someone will have to give us some explanation,”
“Excuse me officer!” Hoseok called out the policeman passing by.
Red lights and loud noise came to the sight. Two ambulances.
“Who’s hurt?” Taehyung asked feeling lost. The policemen started to move more assertively and somehow that made the younger ones feel less at ease.
As realization finally hit her, Deo took long strides towards the police card, banging harshly on the window. “What did you do you fucking asshole!” But it was in vain, as the guard officer hurried her away from the car. She walked back to her friends, tears in her eyes and sat down on the sidewalk, watching in horror as the paramedics ran towards the inside of the house.
Everyone was so focused on what was happening there that they faltered to see the girl having trouble to breathe. Not Taehyung though.
“Hey, hey- Breathe!” He said gently while crouching by her side. But she wasn’t focusing. “Deo, listen to my voice, hey-”
She was still panting. Eyes roaming without focus. He felt the urge to make her focus on something. Anything. Both his hands coming to gently embrace her face.
“Look at me. Please breathe,” He said once more. Eyes locking.
“I can’t-”
And without any warning he kissed her. After she realized what was happening her hands came to his chest trying to push him away, but he persistently kept the grip. One of his hands coming to the back of her neck. And she slowly gave in. Seconds that felt like eternity.
“What- What are you doing?” She asked when they parted. Voice as a whisper.
“You weren’t breathing,” He said simply as if that was the answer to everything indeed.
“Are you out of your mind?!” She asked, pushing him away from her as she stood up once more.
“CLEAR SPACE!” The paramedics shouted while carrying out of the house a hammock with what it seemed a corpse in it since it was covered by a white sheet stained in red. Blood red.
“Yoongi!” Carolina shouted while falling on her knees.
EPILOGUE
Christmas break had just ended. It had been three months since the incident at the last Halloween party and everyone was back.
Despite everything that had happened, the groups didn’t talk after all that had happened. Everyone was left with scars. And those that weren’t involved in the game, acted as if they were special.
Jack was still waiting for his trial. In the meantime, he had been admitted in a psychiatric hospital. USC had to close down the fraternities involved and pay a fine to the state. But in the end, everyone was left feeling as if money was enough to erase all they had been through.
Yoongi lost his position on the basketball team due to his surgery. He had to rest after removing his appendicitis and due to the stitches of the knife wound. But the coach didn’t care. He couldn’t wait for him to get better so he was thrown out of the team with a get well soon. But not all was bad, he took the time to work on his mixtape.
Something similar happened for Deo. She fell from the top of the pyramid. Only the cool kids were allowed to be up there and since she was now the ex of a psycho, she had no place left there. So her friends stood by her side, making up daily practices via Skype despite them being away during Christmas so she could still dance.
Hoseok was in charge of the dance crew now. Constantly trying to cheer everyone up and busying himself with new projects and choreographies.
The only ones that kept in touch were Hyori and Namjoon. Somehow, the traumatic events made the two grow closer. And of course the already best friends Jimin and Taehyung, that spent the break at each other’s houses, making their friendship stronger and stronger.
As they returned, they noticed that not all had changed after all. There was new drama, new people to focus on, and somehow all came back to normal. Ish. Carolina and Jungkook kept fighting whenever they would see each other at practice. Specially when they had to share a ride with Jin. The oldest had grown quite fond of the kid.
And as close as the two groups got, the more they realized that more adventures awaited them. It was like the start of a new era.
Ps: Go check the gossip page up, the dirty secrets are all over there ;)

Description
The first side most people see of Jack is the side he wants you to see. A total asshole. It’s not an exaggeration - he’s pretty much infamous for flirting with everyone, dating anyone and as a serial cheater. He’ll actively try to worm his way into your life, and then just when you start to care, he does something to hurt you. He’s strangely persistent, probably helping him to push people even further, until they snap. There is nothing which satisfies him more than managing to wind people up to the extreme, get them to the point where they give up. Adopted parents, friends, nobody is immune to this side - he even tries it on the people he genuinely cares about, as if just to see if he’ll still be able to push them away.
The second side, which most people don’t see, is that at heart Jack is a kid. He’s the type of person to ask if owls have ears at 3am, or get some childlike joy out of dumb jokes. Of course, this is the side nobody but a very small number of people see. And even if you do see it, it never lasts long. He keeps his true personality under wraps even amongst those he does like, and it only slips out if he’s extremely comfortable with you. Otherwise, he’ll go straight back to being a sarcastic, flirty piece of shit.
04: PAST
Biography:
Jackson Kelly was born in a council estate in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in the UK. His life prior to adoption is not something he routinely talks about, but that’s mostly because he’d rather not give people reasons to pity him: his mother, 15 when she gave birth to him, was a drug addict; he has no idea who his birth father is or was, and no inclination to find out. Jack’s first ten years of life pretty much fell into the same cycle: get put into foster care, his mother would get clean and take him back, and then the cycle would repeat. But when the cycle ended when he was ten, and he was removed from his mother’s care for good, he wasn’t ready for it to end yet.
Sure, she wasn’t the best parent. But she was his mother. Jack quickly developed a reputation for running away, always found back at the same place. Foster parent after foster parent always ended up returning him, unable to cope with his rebellious tendencies and the constant hunt for him after he had run. As he aged, he only became better at avoiding being found. It practically became a game to him, a way for him to entertain himself. So when a wealthy American heiress and her British CEO husband decided that  of all people, they wanted to foster a now thirteen year old Jack, social workers almost wanted to ask if they’d misspoke. (Jack had assumed it was a practical joke.)
Claire and George, his new “parents,” were patient. They said he didn’t have to call them mum or dad, that even after they officially adopted him two years later he could keep his own surname, that they just wanted him to be happy. They moved him to a better school, got a private tutor to make up for lost time, tried to take an interest in his favourite things. But that wasn’t enough for Jack. Eventually, the situation resulted in drastic measures: a rainy afternoon with a social worker being told that Claire wanted to move the family to her birthplace of New York, and send Jack to the school she had attended many years prior. A fresh start would be better for him, they said. As if Jack didn’t know the real reason. He couldn’t run away if he was thousands of miles away.
And that was how a fifteen year old Jack made his way to Carnifex, with absolutely no change to his desire to wreak havoc or to his somewhat disturbing attitude towards other people. Therapists paid for by his adopted parents might say he was pushing people away to manifest emotions about neglect in early life; Jack would just say that he was keeping things interesting. Either way, the next couple years of his life escaped past him, and before he knew it he was in a school office, being told that his birth mother had died.
Obviously, Claire and George freaked, as if he would do anything. Pulled him out of school for a month, flew him back to England for the funeral, and practically wrapped Jack in bubble wrap like he was a baby or something. All he wanted to do was go back to school, ignore the guilt he felt in his stomach for letting them take him away, and go back to what he did best.
Timeline:

December 2020 - Zander and Ches spread posters around claiming that Jack is HIV positive and gave it to Balo. They don’t provide any proof for this allegation, and Jack continues to deny it.
(These are the events ur character would probs vaguely know about!!! Anything else is personal info so they wouldn’t know unless Jack explicitly told them. Feel free to ask me if you’re ever unsure if something is ic knowledge or not!)
05: OTHER TRIVIA
- He has a fairly strong Yorkshire accent which is obviously something other characters would likely notice when interacting with him. So if he uses words you don’t know it’s safe to assume he’s just being his dumb British self so you are free to have your character question the meaning/not know. (LMK if you’re unsure tho!)
- His favourite band is Oasis (closely followed by Arctic Monkeys), favourite film is Fight Club,  go to drink is either a double vodka coke or a pint of Heineken, and his favourite place is Leadmill in Sheffield because it’s where he’s seen some bands (and fucked girls in the bathroom. Such a romantic.)
- Dyslexic, but if you mention it Jack will fight you, although it’s partially why he leans more toward math based subjects where his spelling ability is irrelevant.
- Notoriously has a thing for redheads, although that doesn’t prevent him from being crude and sexual towards anyone he happens to meet or interact with.
- Chain smokes anything he can get his ratty little hands on (cigarettes, weed, meh) so expect him to smell of ciggies 24/7.
- Diehard supporter of Sheffield United and insists there is no better football team even though they really suck
- Weetabix, Weetabix, Weetabix
06: NOTABLE CONNECTIONS
Within Luxor:
- Friendships: Caitriona, Balo, Avery, Zai, Oakley, Lennon
- Former Relationships: Oakley Prescott
- Current Relationship: Juliet McCoy
NPCS
- Claire Richardson Fielding & George Fielding: Jack’s adopted parents, who just want to love him despite him being terrible to them.
- Lauren Kelly: His birth mother, who he misses a lot.
- Violet Richardson: Claire’s mother, who for some reason adores Jack and considers him her favourite grandchild. Meaning Jack will probably inherit everything when she dies, although he doesn’t really think about that.
- Emily French: His ex girlfriend from back home, also known as the only girl who Jack truly cared about before Juliet. She broke up with Jack for being too toxic, which although fair, fucked him up for a little bit. Not that he’d admit it.
07: CONNECTION IDEAS/WCS
Exes (Lots)
Jack has a habit of dating people, dropping them as soon as feelings get involved, cheating on them, and generally being an asshole. So if you want an ex for your muse… yeah.
Enemies
Again, he tends to happily mess with as many people as he possibly can. So he’s probably gotten on the wrong side of at least a couple people.
Friends (fake or real)
Like when he dates, he tends to get close to people before ditching them or screwing with them. So people who think they’re his friends but who aren’t really as close as they think are very welcome. I’m also down to have a couple people who can be the few he genuinely cares about.
08: TL;DR
If you already knew Jack at Luxor:
Little has changed! He’s the same manipulative dick as ever except that he has legally changed his surname. Your characters are tots fine to comment on the change, it’s not a secret or anything.
If this is your unfortunate first experience with Jack:
Jack is manipulative, crude, outright insulting, and nasty. He enjoys nothing more than messing with people, and often acts friendly initially just to hurt you later. He is British, adopted, and I call him rat man.
