Today was chore day. I got a lot done, just nothing for school, sadly.

I also rearranged one of my book shelves! (As you can see above) Space is always a problem in this apartment so I'm preemtively rearranging for future books

Positive things I did today:

kept the duolingo Spanish streak going

cooked a warm meal

cleaned the kitchen

changed the sheets

did the laundry

packed my siblings' birthday presents

Hours slept: ~7hrs 45mins Screentime: 4hrs Steps taken: ~500

truly one of the great joys of living alone is standing at the refrigerator picking at leftovers like a raccoon and i sometimes honestly think i’d prefer that to falling in love and cohabitating with someone

If someone had presented voluntary singlehood to me the way this Sis does, I'm almost certain I would've made it all the way to 32 a virgin, never having had a bf or let a guy near me.

Im unemployed so my biggest cause for stress is the possibility of losing my home because i have to pay rent. I try to pay it as much in advance as possible while looking for a job and currently ive at least got a place to live for the rest of the year cause thats how far ive payed my rent. It help me relax for a bit cause now i know i have more time to look for a job since its not that urgent even though it still is a top priority. But the downside to this is now i dont have much money to use on other things. I should ring up my parents to see if theyd be willing to go grocery shopping with me😋

I am so happy today. I rearranged my furniture and tomorrow I will do decluttering.

Silly things at home that might make sense to you, just as they do to me:

Some of the things have been acquired prior to living here, and some, bought after moving out of my husband’s home.

Life since mid-October is wild. When he decided it’s over for us, I had no other choice but to leave as he requested. After almost 3 weeks of crying, and doing just about anything and everything to get by and stay out of my head, I was at peace with what happened to our marriage.

I can’t count the number of times I begged and bargained with him; the number of times I cried out to the Lord to fix our marriage; the number of times I thought about self-harm so I can just end it all; the number of times I gave up and decided to continue fighting for our marriage. There was actually a point that I decided that enough was enough; that I’m done praying and fighting for our marriage. And then I remember why His word and His plan will always prevail in the end. So I surrendered our marriage to Him…my life completely, too, and felt the most perfect peace filling my heart, that I can now laugh, smile, and be like nothing’s wrong. I still pray for him and our marriage to this day. I still hope in the end that it will all be better...that there's some form of a plot twist in all of this chaos.

And while in this season of waiting and trusting, I was also blessed to keep a place I call home. It gets a little stuffy, and there's no actual interior decorating style I can associate my space with haha. Overall, it's okay. I did not need anything grandiose, actually. I will just probably improve this small space with a few more things such as shelving to help lighten certain spots.

Above all the silly little things in my now-home with my four snotty, but lovable chihuahuas, I thank the Lord for joy, peace, grace, and hope. I thank the Lord for sustaining me. I would never feel content for the things I have if not for His abounding grace that makes everyday possible.

It's Tuesday night and the glow from my television is the only illumination in my bedroom, save my phone. Spread out on my king-size bed, surrounded by my books, laptop, and snacks, pillows cushioning me comfortably, I watch TikToks as my bedtime show plays on the T.V. I choose the show, I spread out on the bed, and I am beholden to no one as I begin the process of falling asleep.
