hi i just found one of your account and just finished reading solitude and my god its so good! the way the whole fic was picturized is so well done i can imagine how every scene went down in my head so clearly. it definitely feels like a blockbuster movie in writing. im so glad it ended on a good note because my poor sensitive just cant take it. and also i really appreciate how taeyong and johnny got the chance to actually mend their relationship eventhough it didnt last long, that was sad. but damn what a good fic 🙌🙌
omg hi!! thank you for liking solitude <333 it feels like centuries ago (it has) since I've written so much words haha miss it so much! 🥲

Rest Stop
Written for the prompt ‘rest’ for @steddiemicrofic
387 words / rated T / pre-slash
Recreational drug use
There’s a rest stop on the decommissioned road a little ways out of Hawkins. It’s not a lot of anything, a tin roof over a picnic table, but Steve likes it. Thinks of it as ‘his’ spot, even though Tommy H told him about it. But it’s a good place to be alone. To, well, rest.
And, sure, Hawkins is full of places like that, quiet, empty places, and alone isn’t something Steve likes to be that much, but nights like tonight…
He sighs, tips his beer to his lips. It doesn’t hit him often, but when it does, it’s a restless itch; he can get away from Hawkins, from his house, his job, his nonexistent love life, but he can’t get away from that feeling. Out here he gets close, though.
Tonight, his solitude is short-lived. Footsteps make Steve tense, and a deep voice cuts through the night: “Steve?”
The tension drains; Steve turns. “Hey, Eddie.”
Eddie blinks. “I found you.” He scratches his head, nods at the table Steve’s sitting on. “Mind if I…?”
“It’s a free country.”
“So I’m told.” Eddie’s lips quirk; he sits beside Steve, pulling a joint from his jacket. He waggles it; Steve nods.
“Why were you looking for me?”
An orange flame sparks from Eddie’s lighter, catching the end of the joint. “I wasn’t.” Eddie takes a drag, gives the joint to Steve.
“You said you found me…”
“Don’t have to be looking for you to find you.”
Steve shakes his head. “All right.” He takes a hit, relishing the pleasant buzz, passes it back.
“What brings the valiant Sir Steve out here?”
“I like the quiet.”
“That a hint for me to shut my yap?”
“No.” Steve knocks their shoulders together. “I like listening to you talk.” Why did he say that? He doesn’t really care. Huh.
Surprise flickers over Eddie’s face, but it settles into something pleased. “Good.” He winks. “Because I have plenty of stories to tell.”
After a few moments, Steve says, “Well,” waving his hand, “go ahead.”
Eddie’s eyes sparkle; he starts talking, gesticulating wildly, and Steve realizes the restlessness is gone. Maybe it’s the weed. He’s pretty sure it’s all Eddie.
Okay. Something to look at later. For now, he basks in Eddie’s voice and the easy, restful feeling of being near him.

what would gladstone do if he ever saw mortimer crying or feeling down....when mortimer thinks he's alone
What an ask. Well I personally don't see Gladstone as an expert on comforting someone, nor Mortimer as someone to show a vulnerable side so easily, but the thought is nice
Aren't they something
And hey have some bonus doodles cause my oh my if I start talking about them I won't stop

‘Dreary. I forgot how much rain we get this time of year.’
Emily let out a small huff of a laugh, she was about to type up another reply when Derek’s voice broke through her bubble.
“Who’re you texting with that smile?” He asked with a wicked grin and she immediately locked her phone, rolling her eyes.
“A friend.”
“Yeah right.” He laughed, “girl, you’ve been back less than a month and you’re already playing the field? Sin to win never dies does it?”
“Looks like we have that in common.” She shot back with a smirk and an appalled look took over Derek’s features.

random question: what is the path of Solitude for Phione? Imagine Akari overcoming a challenge like that and Ingo just whips out Akaris Pokedex and puts his stamp on the incomplete page for Phione!
(probably more of a joke comic than anything but I wanted to share this idea!)
Phione’s path of solitude is against a Chatot! (And bulbapedia mentions that this is a reference to the film Manaphy and the Temple of the Sea, as chatot and parasect (the Pokémon you fight in Manaphy’s path of solitude) are two of the antagonist’s pokemon. It also says shaymin’s path of solitude pokemon is Magnezone to reference giratina and the sky warrior, which I love!!!!)
It seems I’ve set Bird Pokémon up to be the bane of Akari’s existence as a Phione, but if she ever gets used to using pokemon moves and practices battling, I’m sure she could take the chatot down!! If she does, I’m could see Ingo going either way with stamping the page and passing her, based on how strict his rules are about completing the path of solitude. But that would require him to be ok with sending out a level 60 chatot against her in the first place!!

I fucking love the LA Vocals tracks for GGXX because on the whole like, they're bangers, but the lyrics often have little to do with the character or go outright against the themes of the charatcer
Like, "Make Oneself" (Axl's theme) has a lyric that's like "Once in sight you're his possession / FUCK THAT BULLSHIT NON-AGGRESSION"
..."Fuck that bullshit non aggression?" Yes, famous lover of violence Axl Fucking Low. The guy who "Can't get anything out but tears" the guy who "will not take someone's life no matter what." Fuck that bullshit non aggression.
Like I laugh every time, it's such a good song I listen to it all the time, but you listen to the lyrcis and it's like "He would NOT fucking say that."
Then you have "Liquor Bar and Drunkard" (Johnny's theme) and it's almost exlcusively about him driving Lamborghinis, doing shots, and - look me in the eyes when I tell you this because I am being dead serious - doing bumps of cocaine at a junkyard:
"Shame that you thought that I came from an angel, ordinary Johnny Johnny / down at the dump just doin a bump, like an ordinary Johnny Johnny / Tequila shots and some very fast cars / Some dry martinis, chicks in Lamborghinis"
Like??? I'm HOWLING these are so funny. I love these songs so much if you've never heard the LA (NY? I've seen them titled as both) Vocals PLEASE give them a listen if you never have they're such A Trip. Gonna attempt to link the YT playlist for them right here but I've never tried that before so I apologize if you end up needing to search it yourself if it breaks lol:
